Welcome to Tribe Evolution. You will take the role of one of three tribes on an island and develop a civilization with a unique culture and history. Rules:>Every turn is a new day>Every turn you can do one action and research >Research - Laws, Technologies, Arts, Customs>Action - Trading, Hunting, Scouting, Organizing>I will update with stats on each clans progress every turnThe Frog Clan live near the shore of the lake on the northwestern part of the island. They spend most of their days independently sitting on giant lillypads and eating. Being carnivores, they subsist on a diet of insects. Their moist, porous skin means they adapt incredibly well to the lake shore, but they will be in grave danger in hotter, drier climates. The Chicken Clan live in the jungle in the southwestern part of the island. They are largely territorial and follow a strict pecking order, the alpha hen being the main leader. The alpha spends most of her day stalking around finding food and calling to the other tribe members to eat, who blindly follow. Being omnivores, they eat mostly insects and seeds. The Bunny Clan live in the hills bordering a river. They spend most of the day reproducing and forage around for food independently. Since the sprawling meadow is large, its easy to lose tribe members and some can be gone for days and sometimes never return. They sleep in burrows near the river that they dug, and subsist on a diet of wildgrass. We will start when every clan has at least one player.
>>1427973I'll choose chickens then.
>>1427973If OP is still alive I'll join as bunnys
only froggo is left so thats what I shall be
If chicken clan doesn't go full Hotline Miami on the other clans, I am disappoint.
>>1428197You're free to join me, we can have more than one person per clan.
>>1428210we can have splits in clans due to polticial disagreements! it just makes it more realistic! (just come up with a different title)
>>1428097c...can I be a cute bunny tooLet's may out customs and laws so we can get to fluidgenderism asap
>>1427973If chickens have alphas, would they not have a "gaggle" law? They have a primitive social structure, but its there
>>1427973>>1428117I will join the mighty froggo clan. We shall purge this world of the "normies" and claim out rightful place as the beta kings.
>>1428270So chickens are alpha, frogs are beta, and bunnies are gamma?

>>1428352Oh, well in that case I think our action should be to create a real leadership structure As for research it should be to make stone tools, after all its much easier to dig a burrow with tools instead of your own hands.
>>1428364>>1428365>>1428339Some tribes with more than one player should let me know if they agree, otherwise> writing
Frogs with more feminine qualities have more success with women. Also, some frogs dive for fish, and now they have another source for food.
Chickens scout the jungle looking for resources. They find jute twine and use it to tie rock slabs to branches. The gathered resources allow them to create multiple axes.
Bunnies experiment with leadership and adopt a structure similar to the chickens, where they follow the lead of an alpha male authority. Some bunnies experiment with slabs and make easier digging for ditches and burrows. They have two diggers due to lack of resources.

Chickens fell down multiple large trees. They also develop a sex positive lifestyle and as a result experience a population growth. More chicks means less food for everyone, so the alpha spends even more time per day finding insects and seeds for the little ones.
>>1428773Gonna join frogs ig
Frogs use local abundance of large grasses and sticks to create makeshift tents on the lillypads, protecting them from outside dangers. They fashion many fishing spears and their stockpile grows a little as a result. The combination of safe shelter and larger stockpile gives them a longer mortality and growth rate
Rolled 100 (1d100)Bunny Prime decides to make it mandatory that all burrows, including new ones to be built, will be connected with tunnels. Every turn after this one, a new tunnel will be finished. They also scout for resources. What they will find will be up to the dice gods>1-25 - Nothing>25-75 - Something ok>75-100 - Something terrific

>>1428837Bunnys are apparently master scouts.
>>1428859Support however I don't think we can move our stockpile. Its fishes. Why don't we make nets. We can put the fish in those or weight them and use them for combat.
>>1428837The bunnies found a wide diversity of wild vegetables, including carrots, beetroots, onions, and taros. >>1428866>>1428871Oh. I'll support the net idea tho. We can jerky them after nets. That is a more useful tool down the road We can still do jerky next turn that way too.

Things like Head Digger, Head Crafter, Head scout, etc.
>>1428879I give this idea full approval, invest in nets then we invest in making dry, more weather resistant food

>>1428916nets. food more important for now
>>1428907>>1428869I should note were not planting all of them, but only a small amount of each. The rest are stored away for bunnys to eat whenever.
>>1428926Ok. We need an action, then.
>>1428933chase those bunnies off our river turf, show them who's boss with some guerrilla tactics
>>1428940The Bunnys are on the opposite side of the island from the frogs.
>>1428869Research: Construct multipurpose nets. We can capture fish en masse as well as fill them with rocks to clobber enemies.Action: They practice spear and sling combat.>>1428940I did consider that, but we are on the other side of the map and would need to pass Chicken territory (who are obligated by clan trait to attack us)
>>1428943oh...then feel free to farm, just stay off our lawn! focus on increasing expanding tents out to be larger
>>1428887Chickens spend a day hunting full time, building a stockpile of insects that they can subsist of for the rest of today and tomorrow. Their research into farming begins when they find a half sprouted seed in their foraging. The alpha takes many seeds and buries them around the campsite. After enough days, with a bit of luck, they should sprout healthy crops to consume.
>>1429050Some frogs make nets from local reeds. They are able to catch a lot of fish as they swim and overtake them. If they catch too many at once, the nets break. Other frogs play around with spears in melee. It becomes a playful activity among the ten spearfrogs in their downtime.
>>1429065A tunnel is completed for the bunnies. The alpha bunny delegates digging, foraging, and scouting roles to the other bunnies. He also buries five of each of his bounty of vegetables along the riverside, after observation of their growth in the fields they foraged the day earlier. After some days, the bunnies will have a healthy stockpile of food.
Research: Dry our food and make it last longer.Action: Appoint a Boss Frog as chief selected by the people, no alpha stuff.Thoughts?
>>1429105Action - Send a delegate to frog tribe and offer tradeResearch - Wooden shelter
>>1429105Action: Dig out a chamber next to the central burrow and devote it as a crafting room so whenever a bunny needs tools we can make them on the spot while being of higher quality, the head crafter will be in charge this place.Research: Pickaxes, with these we can dig easier and deeper and faster while being able to also use them as a emergency weapon if needed.
>>1429109>>1429105Anchors away i guess
>>1429219Frogs learn that fish dried in the sun will spoil slower. Their dried fish allows them them to build a larger stockpile due to the longer lifespan. They also elect among them a chief who looks over the actions of the frog village.
>>1429261Bunnies try and make a large digger using a large sharp stone slab they find in a nearby river. The lack of trees nearby means they are unable to create a makeshift handle, so they chip away with both hands, taking up a lot of energy and time, but they are able to hack into rocky walls and floors and faster through dirt. The head digger holds the sole Improved Digger.A chamber is created for the Head Crafter. He can use his free time to manufacture multiple tools and research practical technologies given the right resources.
>>1429292-Research: Better mining tools-Action: Get rid of the Alpha bunny and instead just appoint the childbearing bunnies as a council of chiefs or whatever, expanding on the idea of the Cabal of Bunnies
Rolled 92 (1d100)>>1429292Chickens construct shacks over certain nests using their felled logs. They are provided protection against harsher weather now. They also send a scouting party out looking for other tribal cultures. Success is determined by chance.> 1-25: Get lost> 26-50: Trek north but make way back> 51-100: Find the Frog Tribe

> "Cluck cluck cluck"> "Croak? Ribbit ribbit?"> "BukaAAW?"> "Reeeeeeeeee!"Unfortunately there exists some language boundaries. >>1429391Lets handle this in the morning. I need all my for partners to discuss this.
I would trade net technology for twine resources/manufacturing. We would both equally benefit from stronger nets and tougher rope.If we go the wood route we need to place value on the wood so we dont pay too much fish
May I suggest that us chickens begin research on fashion? We must secure letterman jackets and neon shoes if we are to survive winter.
>>1429806Clothes. The one thing i didnt consider
>>1429706I can agree to this>>1429806Sure, I was also thinking of researching walls.

>>1429292>>1429301I second the idea of the counsil. However i support the action >>1429333For exploring for wood
Ok trade accepted, new anchor post
>>1429912Action - Cut down treesResearch - Clothing
>>1429912Seeing as the others agree to scout for wood north that'll be our action.Research could be weaving for things like clothing, that is unless the other bunnys thinks we should do something else.
>>1429261research: create written language so we can record our knowledge with more easeAction: attempt to communicate with chickens. they could have something useful
Chickens cut down more trees. Two more axes breaks during the chopping. They also cover their lower parts with grass skirts.
The frogs create markings in the mud and attempt to create a primitive language to communicate with the chicken tribe. Their vocabulary includes words for trade, frog, non-frog, bug-food, fish-food, twine and fish-net. Although their mud markings are easily torn apart by weather or careless tribesman, they are able to make the chicken-men understand some of the symbols over time.
Rolled 46 (1d100)The bunnies create their own clothing using the wildgrass of their environment. They also try to scout for resources, specifically wood, north of their habitat.>1-25 - Nothing>25-75 - Something ok>75-100 - Something terrific

>>1430038>>1430148Dude with all the good ideas. Im just here for moral support at this point
>>1430148Seconding the research, but I say we focus on creating the council instead of reinforcing the tunnels.
>>1430054That action sounds like a research point actually
>>1430222We ready have the material and the tech. How is that research?
>>1430218Lets do that nect turn
>>1430229Actions include your tribesman completing tasks that last one turn. Techs are continuous improvement on tools, materials, processes, etc, and last all the game afterwards.
I call for diplomatic actions whit the frogs
>>1430269Fair enough.Action: We focus a lot on fishing.
Chickens use their chopped wood to make more shelters. They also construct a hoe after making an axe with a longer head.
Frogs use lakeweed and local grasses to fashion clothing. They also go on a giant fishing expedition and haul in a large enough stockpile to increase their population growth.
The bunnies continued gardening gives them larger and larger population growth. Some worry about the cramped space of their sleeping quarters. They also reinforce their tunnels with pillars and use their wood to create gates to two of the five burrow entrances. Their innovation with diggers allow them to create minute details in deep stone, a makeshift chisel.
Violent winds come up on the island. The bunny prairies, with no canopy, threaten to whisk any bunny up and away. Luckily, the rabbits are all asleep in their burrows when the storm picks up.The winds seem to be slowly traveling west, and may be strong enough to cause serious damage to the forests.Anchor post
>>1430398Action - Take cover in the sheltersResearch - Higher quality axesCan we eat other animals and fish or just insects and seeds?
We need frog navyStart looking how the leafs float in the water and that sometimes carrys stuff on it , and that it could be used for fishing
>>1430410Yeah, you can eat other animals and fish
>>1430449We can do lilypad research if you want, but if the clouds mean rain, that means more fish. I suggest twine nets for durability. Your option is also helpful in weather. Studying them can help us grow more house platforms or use them to build transports
>>1430487what about then..... attaching a string to a leaf?so the frog minds can start looking for the sky
>>1430449>>1430487Also as an action: Fish get heavy in those nets. Boss Frog thinks its neccesary to start strength training those frogs.>>1430496I like how you think, but that needs to wait until we can properly defend and feed ourselves. We are okay with food, but could improve. Our science is shit right now. Defense is mostly being on a lake but no offensive defense.
>>1430398Action :Seeing as the bunnys are currently trapped underground they begin discussing other methods of goverment, eventually they decide to turn the old system into a council comprised of all the leadership positions so the council collectively leads the tribe insuring the maxiumun insight is around for decisions.Research: with nothing much to do underground the bunnys decide to create a written language carved into stone tabletsHow does this sound other bunnys?
>>1430504i propouse a food gathering metod that can make frogs work out: make them start choping wood , if we dont have axes , we should trade or developement them
>>1430523wait...... fuck , this doents gather food , but gathers wood
>>1430523Fishing with nets is more of a workout than you might think. Thats why i suggest making the stronger nets.
>>1430398>>1430402>>1430517>>1430554Action: Dig for coal and oil. The bunnies have a hunch this stuff will be useful some day.Research: Ironworking, chemistry
>>1430398Frogs combine twine and net technology for stronger nets.Boss Frog needs his hunters and gatherers to be strong. They begin regular strength training.
>>1430559Feel like thats a bit of a jump bruh
>>1430559You need to explain why and how you came up with ironworking and explain why your tribe know what any of that coal and oil is.
>>1430559How about we start simple insteadResearch: Stoneworking (They are in a cave and could figure out how to cut stone with other stone for weapons or housing.)
>>1432404They already understand stone working. As seen by them making stone pillars to reinforce their tunnels.A good suggestion might be to have them develop either fire (light, heat, cooking and crafting) or possibly some sort of weapon (Spears, hatchets and blowguns). For the eventual conflict with the other tribes.
>>1432416>>1432404We are getting wirting first for trading
>>1432480That would be wise.

>>1432964>>1432917Ok, sorry most likely gonna post turns later this evening travelling at airport atm
The chickens, noticing the violent winds on the horizon add basements to their homes where they stockpile foods and other necessities in case of emergency
Bunnies take the time underground to pursue intellectual discussions. The alpha bunny reluctantly concedes power to his cabal, and where he shares in equal standing as a farmer. The storm raised the tide in the river and flooded most of the crops, save for all the carrots. The bunnies manage to survive on their surplus and their persistent mating to keep a positive population count. Some minor complaints of burrow space is shared; few bunnies are forced to live in the dark tunnels connecting the burrows, which have no hole showing natural light.
Frogs manage to create improved nets by reinforcing the reed with wrapped twine, closing gaps and keeping the reed joints together. The boss frog instructs his frogs to practice strength by swimming around their floating homes five times. The workout tires them, but strengthens their muscles.Winds from the east rustle the canopies. Many flocks are seen escaping the path of the oncoming storm.
Chickens stay underneath their shelters, or at least below they few they constructed. While underneath, they find that by drilling a hole into a slab stone with their beaks, after a long period of pecks, they can insert their sticks into the slab to make an axe that is much more durable than their primitive axes. The pain from their pecking caused them to only create two so far.
The storm continues...Anchor postaaand probably it for me today, thanks yall!
>>1435079Action: Seeing as the storm is mostly gone from the area the bunnys send scouts out in an attempt to find more useable crops to make up for what we lost while also collecting the logs that no doubt have been uprooted by the storm.Research:Some bunnys noticed by striking two stones together they spark, and If these sparks hit something flamable it burns! With newly discovered fire it would help keep us warm in the colder weather and stop complaints of bunnys sleeping in the darker tunnels until we have the time to make more burrows.
>>1435079Action: Stay low until the storm is a safe distance awayResearch: Pitfall traps using nets
>>1435079Research: We study our lilypads to learn how to grow more.Action: Build more spears to match our growing population.
Thread is over 3 days old. Its gonna auto sage if it hasnt already
>>1436185that doesnt ruin our fun
Frogs spend a turn crafting as many spears as they can under the storm. They also dedicate more time studying the lillypad structures upon which they built their houses. The pads are about three fingers thick with a waxy surface, but the frogs unique sticky feet give them the ability to stay onto the pads with good stability. They find that weaving together lillypads can create bigger lillypads, and the plants will connect and create one giant structure. They also learn how to grow and can farm lillypads know.Unfortunately, one of the 'pad structures had been flooded in the storm as a result of too many frogs sleeping on the pad. The homes are also lost, along with the scattered stockpile of fish on the mainland, reducing their growth rate significantly.
Chickens are safe in their shelters, and take the time to educate themselves in using their twine nets to catch animals. Using their beaks, they can dig large enough holes to trap animals with a net cover on top.
Rolled 5 (1d100)Head Scout goes with a small party to find crops, logs, or whatever else may be leftover from the storm. The head digger found that by hitting stone together he can create a spark that can create fire. Although burning to the touch, it can be warm at a safe distance. Some foragers hunt for huge bundles of grass to spark and light in the tunnels to keep the overcrowded bunnies warm, but by the end of the day they find it burns quickly. hope resides in the scouting party to find some longer burning fuel source...>1-25 - Nothing>25-75 - Only a few resources>75-100 - Abundant resources
>>1436276Unfortunately, the scouts weren't able to find much of what they were looking for. The storm had carried the vegetables and logs away from their usual harvesting grounds.
>>1436276I think now is the time to start extending our burrows to allow for further population growth.research:getting farming methods to increase grass and other veggie yields.
Frogs need resources , should send some to explore , maybe see some animals or resources
>>1436276>>1436304no wait scratch that, we need food bad.keep the research the same. but go scouting for more food.
Rolled 2 (1d100)Action: chickens examine seeds and insects to learn how to more efficiently grow and harvest them
hey ho do w
>>1436336I think that's more research. I was thinking of researching hammer so we can make use of the wood around us.
We must protect chickenkind from the outside world, I bet the frogs are behind these winds. We must learn how to efficiently use axes in combat, fellow chickens.
>>1436440frogs have kek bless
>>1436440No, we must build up with what we have and make sure that we stay ahead with our superior resources.
Are these any fun?
>>1436775Having a highly trained army with shitty gear that they know how to use is better than a scrawny, panicky army with the best gear available.>>1436676Kek is a false god and also probably a homosexual.
>>1437115I demand a frog Religious cult rigth the fuck now , kek must be the one that decide the fate of frogs , chickens and rabbits
Where's the OP? I want to get to the next turns.>>1437115Combat training can wait, we have to take care of important things like the storm. Plus I don't want to get sandwiched by the other clan if we attack.
damn, OP ducked out just as it was getting good.
Well the frogs should research a underwater netting structure to keep all the fish together underwater in an easy access.Action should be either starting to grow lilypads or to combine them to a larger structure
