Patch Notes:A soundtrack is currently being made for the quest, a song has been made already: https://soundcloud.com/qstdaeday/daemonquestthe-rubicon-riverPrevious Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/1363387/It is the 41st Century, space shuttles that can bend the reality of space and time are no longer a science-fiction dream but reality. However, life on the Last Frontier is threatened. The United Intergalatic Senate has lost control of their citizens, capitalism and vigilante justice controlled The Last Frontier for thousands of years until three mega-corporations struggle for economic and total control. The Galactic Senate, however, directly profits from the civil war between the three factions. The Solarflare Republic. The Daemon Regime.Remulus United. These corporations now ceased fire, however, tensions are high. We have entered the 100 Year Cold War.Daemon Regime has aims to create the perfect super soldier. The closet they have so far is a slave military name Daemons. Daemons, named after the corporation they work for, are slaves made from a variety of different races captured by unknown patrons of the corporation. Daemons are usually the offspring of Prisoners of War but also can be volunteered (indentured) into the regime. They're bred from birth to be obedient, loyal, and deadly. They are kept in line with a Neuron Chip, a generic term for the thousands of microscopic machinery floating in the brain of a Daemon. This Neuron Chip controls both the reward and pain sections of the brain. If a Daemon steps out of line, the Neuron Chip can terminate the Daemon indiscriminately.Daemons, when traveling through time and space, are kept in Hydro-Hallucinstasis Pods. It simulates a real, normal life in the twenty-first century. Daemons long for a life of freedom, but they know nothing of the real life outside of combat. The Echelon, a Daemon Carrier Ship, has gone radio silent. A system failure has caused the ship to stop mid-space, life support for the entire ship is failing.Daemon 1995, also known as Bastet, and Daemon 1241 are forced to fight for lives in the Administrator's Office as they are swarmed by a new enemy type... the IMPURE.
>>1377074>MAJOR ERRORPrevious Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/1365799/
>All-Out AttackAre you ready for the lawsuit from Atlus? 1241 and Bastet charged onto the pile of IMPURES to cut, stomp, smash, and trample whatever was in reach. The IMPURE's heads all systematically and simultaneously explode as if they've taken a slug in the forehead.>HOSTILES have been PURIFIED...There's rotten blood all over Bastet's pipe and 1241's scalpel. Both of them have rotten greeb and red sludge staining their clothes. 1241 is horrified by the deaths."Their Neuron Chip..." 1241 gasped. "They went off. Someone is still controlling our chips in this ship..."Up ahead, past the smokey darkness, a door opens. A bright screen illuminates a figure sitting in a chair. The avatar has a board connected next to him, IOTA9000--The Ship's AI."PRIVATE. DOCTOR." The avatar called. "ENTER."1241 looked to Bastet and Bastet nodded, they walk forward and entered the bright room. The avatar turns in his chair and instantly 1241 looked sick, Bastet didn't know who this... thing is or why he's dressed so importantly.... on his face is an FTL-Cable attached to the side of his left eye-socket. Various wires and sparks of different colored plasma shoots across his one red eye. The important looking man's face is half burnt to a crisp, it's still red and looks like raw burger meat after it's been tenderized. Although the right side of his face is burned to a char, his body is pale and snake-like. He has no nose, and if he did, then it looked like it was violently ripped off. A Voldemort looking spaceman he was."IS THIS HOW YOU ENTER MY OFFICE, MARINE? DOCTOR?" The Avatar looked to 1241. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS? YOU HAVE FORCED ME TO SECTION 12 FOUR OF THE BEST DAMN MASTER AT ARMS ON THIS SHIP BECAUSE YOU AND YOUR MARINE HAS SINGLEHANDEDLY BROUGHT JUDGEMENT DAY TO THIS FUCKING SHIP.""Sir I-""I WORK FOR A LIVING, YOU CHEEKY CATTY FUCK," The irate avatar slammed his hand onto his Supercomputer. "HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD THE YEOMEN OF THE SHIP SINCE YOU WERE STILL IN THAT FUCKING TUBE YOU SHIT VAT-GROWN PARASITE?""He yells a lot," Bastet whispered as he yelled obscenities at Bastet - she's trying to distract herself from getting her feelings hurt at the mean words. "Who is this lad?""Chief Burnside, he goes by Burns. He's only this fecking angry because of all that quantum energy IOTA9000 is feeding his head to match the brainpower of a Supercomputer." 1241 answers. "He's a Grayman and only they have the cognitive power to do it. I was five when the Regime tried to have species connect to the S.C... let's just say that it took a while to clean up the brains.""Grayman..." Bastet never heard of them before. "Sub-set of humans?""Not even close," 1241 shook his head, "They come from the area where 3C 273 is, a Quasar."
"HOW ABOUT YOU SHUT YOUR TRAPS AND LISTEN, YOU WANNABE DESERTERS," Chief Burns demanded. "IF YOU BLIND FURBAGS HAVEN'T NOTICED, WE'RE FUCKED. WE ARE STRANDED IN SPACE WITH NO WAY TO CONTACT MOTHERBASE. NOW IF YOU ARE SUCH FUCKING SIMPLETONS THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS, IT MEANS WE'RE FUCKING MAROONED IN GOD KNOWS WHERE AND I BLAME YOU BECAUSE AS FAR AS I'M CONCERN YOU PROBABLY DID THIS SHIT.""Chief-!""NO, I DON'T CARE, I'M NOT THE COURT MARSHAL ANYWAYS SO WHATEVER. YOU GOT US INTO THIS FUCKING MESS, YOU GET US THE FUCK OUT OF THIS MESS. YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING FIX OUR FUCKING FTL COMMUNICATIONS SATELLITE SO I CAN SEND OUT A DAMN DISTRESS BEACON. OTHERWISE, THOSE ESCAPE PODS I HEARD YAMMERING ABOUT IS WORTHLESS AND YOU'LL BE STUCK IN THE SAME SHIT IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION.""That doesn't make sense, Chief!" Bastet interjected. "Aren't escape pods supposed to be controlled within the pod itself?""YOU KNOW NOTHING, PRIVATE, SHUT UP," Chief Burnside howled at Bastet. "SINCE YOU INTERRUPTED ME WITH YOUR STUPID QUESTION THAT I MUST ANSWER--THE ESCAPE PODS ON CARRIERS LIKE THE ECHELON DON'T WORK LIKE YOU THINK. THEY ARE MEANT TO BE CONTROLLED ON AUTO-PILOT AND HEAD STRAIGHT TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY POD RECEIVER - MEANING THAT THERE IS NOT FUCKING CONTROLS INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE POD. IT'S MEANT FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE INJURED TO GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE SHIP AND CAN'T. NOW IF WE WERE A FUCKING DESTROYER, THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY WITH A DIFFERENT ENDING, BUT FOR NOW YOU ARE TRAPPED IN THIS STEEL COCOON WITH ME, YOU SNIVELING CUNT RAGS!""Chief, what do you mean wanna-be deserters?" 1241 asked."DO YOU REALLY FUCKING THINK I CAN'T SEE EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING YOU'RE THINKING, I AM CONNECTED TO THE FUCKING SYSTEM OF IOTA. I CAN LITERALLY THOUGHT-POLICE YOUR ASS. AND DON'T EVEN TRY TO DO THAT DOUBLE-THINK LIKE THAT FUCKING UTILITIES OFFICER DID - I BLEW HIS FUCKING BRAINS OUT FOR HIS ATTEMPTED CONSPIRACY... I KNOW HE WAS CONSPIRING AGAINST THE REGIME... FUCK I AM OFF TOPIC," Burns took a deep breath before continuing. "YOU WERE PLANING ON TAKING AN ESCAPE POD OUT OF HERE. SAVING THE HOSTAGES ARE JUST A BONUS SO YOUR BRAIN DOESN'T GET SPLATTERED... BUT I'M NOT FUCKING DUMB - DO YOU FUCKING THINK I'M DUMB?! YOU'RE DUMB..."The humiliating insults at the two continue for a minute. Feels bad man."Chief, how do we survive this?" 1241 asked cautiously."OH, THAT'S FUCKING EASY - LET ME UNWRAP MY GOD DAMN CRYSTAL BALL AND READ YOUR FUCKING FORTUNE. IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO DETONATE THOSE FUCKING ROBOTS IN YOUR HEAD RIGHT FUCKING NOW, YOU'RE GOING TO GET THOSE SPACESUITS IN ONE HOUR - BYE BYE BRAIN," Chief Burns spat venomously.
>>1377287"Chief, if I may, what is happening to the ship? Why is Admiral Price on a killing spree of his subordinates?" Bastet tries to ask. "And why are you preventing us from seeing the rest of administration?""I WILL ANSWER YOUR STUPID KITTY QUESTIONS LATER, LISTEN BECAUSE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT,""Shut up, Bas!" 1241 taps his foot impatiently at Bastet. "He literally holds our lives in his hands." "I BET YOU TWO SOFT BOXES DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET AROUND THE FUCKING SHIP, SO I AM DOWNLOADING THE MAP OF YOUR OBJECTIVE INTO YOUR NEURON CHIP. I'M GONNA SAY IT VERY FUCKING CLEARLY NOW, ARTICULATE THE MOTHER FUCK OUT OF WHAT I AM GOING SAY," Chief Burns snarled. "YOU, MARINE, AND YOU, DOCTOR, ARE GOING TO THE LOWER DECK AND YOU'RE GOING TO GO THE ARMORY AND YOU'RE GOING TO TYPE IN THE DECIPHER THE CODE TO GET INSIDE. IT'S ENCRYPTED BECAUSE PEOPLE COULD BE LISTENING ONTO MY NANOCOM SO LISTEN UP, I WILL NOT SAY IT AGAIN SHITFUCKS. HERE'S A FUCKING PEN, WRITE THE SHIT DOWN. THE ENCRPYTED CODE IS 8243116074776749157 GOT THAT?!""y-yes chief!" 1241 stammered as he quickly Bastet was busy trying to view this map that's been downloaded into her brain. She finds the map and is appalled by how little information in the map the Chief is willing to give them. Either all of the ship is off limited due to quarantined or classified. The only thing on the map is objective markers and ways to get there fast."IF YOU GET STUCK, CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY,">The Party got RADIO (x2)!The radio looks like a 20 Century phone but without a screen. He discards CHEWING WIRES. He is slightly more anxious as a result.Escaping via Pods are impossible without the FTL COMMUNICATIONS Satellite to receive and send beacons. Now Bastet and 1241 are going to have to grab a pair of EVO suits from the ARMORY. >Patch Note:1241 and Bastet can now split up if commanded. Steve is waiting for them to come back, again scaring them. His tail is wagging fiercely. "How are friends? I recognize you because you smell like friends and I like friends!""That's... good..." >>1378297there are no surprises. There's a corpse that's holding a dead child - infant rather. It appears that they were cleaved in two by a wedge of some sort... it's hard to say, but Bastet makes the assumption that an axe may have something to do with this.
>>1378349Check the drawers.

It seems to be the same kind of mask used in the Hydro-Hallucinstasis Pods.Behind Bastet is a shelf There's a spray bottle up above. The spray bottle on the highest shelf is great value DECK CLEANER, she recognized it from the time she had to clean the barracks during Basic Combat Training of her own blood after disrespecting the Drill Sargent. It's just out of her reach.

>>1378580Wait what? The half-bodied mother threw the infant at Bastet. Bastet fell over in surprise and promptly dropped her PIPE. The infant gnashed at Baset's throat their infantile hands and claws. A very sudden bout of numbness covered her body, static filled her brain, Bastet... or whatever... took the SNAPPED ANCIENT KEY and proceeded to stab the adversary in the right eye over and over and over again. She keyed his skull over and over, until the SNAPPED ANCIENT KEY was stuck in the infant's skull. It's not that it would've been helpful. The half-bodied mother screeched with in horror and clawed the metal floor to get to Bastet. Bastet punted the mother in the face and ABSCONDED from the room, closing the door. It's not gonna lock, but the mother won't reach the doorknob any time soon."Bas', what the devil happened?! why are you covered in that pink-stuff?" 1241 rushed over to check up on Bastet. >There's tiny claw marks all over her neck.

It's not illegal but distribution of it is tightly controlled by Remulus United," 1241 replied, looking over it carefully. Bastet teased."Please don't hit on the doctor," 1241 groaned as he snipped off the remnants of the gauze around her neck with a pair of safety scissors.

They are practically skin tight space suits with Ulcium-Titanus armor plating - tougher and lighter than titanium, more ballistic stopping power than Kevlar, but it is rather radioactive so only a few plates are authorized on the body part. The CLASS ATHENA EVOLVED SPACE ARMOUR, simply known as EVO A CLASS or CLASS ATHENA, or CLASS A, is Bastet's suit. The CLASS GOLDEN EVOLVED SPACE ARMOUR is 1241's suit. It's exactly identical except for being summit white and crimson red with a huge red cross on the chest. The STAT BOOSTS multiply every stat by three, can be powered to FULL POWER MODE to increase stats to 10X at the cost of physical bodily damage. There is a holographic projector on the forearms, akin to that of a touchscreen. The helmets are all fitting and they provide a small forcefield for species with protruding ears. Does it just--" 1241 started before dropping his jaw as Bastet took her top off to enter the EVO SUIT."W-what are you doing?!" 1241 cried as he covered his eyes in shame. It's not that Bastet doesn't have a training bra and tons of bandages to cover her bosom. "I'm right here!""What? You had no problem with it when in 199A, what changed?" Flirty. Why is she being flirty? Bastet recognized her sudden change in attitude towards him, but it... doesn't make sense - she just met him probably a few HOURS ago! "You had a bloody BULLET in you! That's different!" 1241 sheepishly defended. Bastet rolled her eyes and went to take her sweatpants off. "Don'!""Come one, surely you've seen a woman before," Bastet stopped."Well, you were in the HYDRO-STASIS POD... right?""And?""You're not supposed to have undergarments on in the POD," 1241 says. "You didn't have a bra until you took one from the ICU - long story regarding that nurse whose crucified - so that means you have no panties.""Get out," Bastet commanded and shut the door behind him.Bastet equips the EVO SUIT.END OF ACT ONEACT TWO:>>1387768
