Use it to better yourself. Show others who Anon is. You don't have to murder or throw those you dislike in the Hellraiser plane, but to keep yourself safe. It's for your own safety. That's all it is. To keep yourself safe. To help give yourself a better future.

>>1372401All are welcome. I really recommend the show tho, it's pretty good.
>>1372391Whatever you do, do not kill. Do not maim. Do not shed blood.SHOW him we can. Make the image of your wrath scarred in his mind, and let him know what'll happen if push comes to shove. Make him fear what will happen if you truly use your gift.

You'll graduate with high honors if you must. Your doped up mother and absent father be damned, you're going to be successful.
>>1372598...I have absolutely no idea of what is going on.maybe I do have to watch StarVsEvil first?
>>1372598"Girls aims better than you.">Lunch
>>1372598As for destination, head to lunch. You no longer have an excuse to ditch school, you should go about your day as usual to avoid suspicion.Hide the book somewhere safe (e.g. your locker if that's the case) and fetch it after school.
>>1372598"I feel bad for you Pat, I really do. Maybe someday you'll make something of yourself. I doubt it, though.">Go HomeAgain, we don't know shit about our powers. Might as well use the rest of the day learning about them.

>>1372634>>1372644>>1372647>You say something alright>"You hit like a bitch... and deserve everything your Uncle does to you." >Then, you go to lunch.
>>1372598Also it's imperative you don't let Star or Marco see the book.If this kind of thing is really evil, other magical denizens may either object to you using it or try to take it for themselves.Really you should wrap the thing in a book cover to avoid letting other people see what it looks like.
>>1372665>I like you anon.
>>1372665Aw shit. How are we gonna explain the eye?
>>1372652>>1372668My advice for keeping the book safe is to always keep it on your person. Are you allowed to keep your backpack with you? Keep the book close to you through school hidden inside of that.A locker can possibly be broken into and your precious book might get stolen, possibly by Patrick, if the lockers are particularly bad.
>>1372665Hide the book, as in >>1372652. You don't want Star or Marco to see it because of >>1372668.Alternatively you could try to disguise the book as something else, but it's unclear whether it's strange properties are a hallucination only you see or actual distortions of reality.
>>1372687This, if backpacks are allowed in the lunchroom.
>>1372671Just say >you put some ice on it
>>1372698That's not gonna work, the thing is completely gone. I guess we have to avoid Star and Marco.

A lot of people are into sports and might sit there, but can be decent cover if you're hiding from Patrick / Marco + Star.If it becomes a problem sitting there, go sit at the Honor's kids table. I doubt their table will be filled with people. While sitting there, see if you can communicate back to the book. Definitely not verbally, but mentally, see if you have a two-way connection with this conversation.>LEVEL UPLevel up Will. We will need it if we want our goals to remain as Anon's, and not the books.Anon may not be a brilliant student, but always form a backup plan when dealing with anything magical, "good" magic or "evil" magic.

>>1372713Why we can't level Str?
>>1372820This reminds me, at what point in time are we entering the show? Is it possible to cuck Marco? Not that it matters. I'm driving towards the Star waifu route.
What classes do we have after lunch? What day of the week is it? how far away is our home? do we have any real weapons?
>>1372760This got a lot of support.Let's try Anon's Master Plan!Your new Will stat is +4>You sit down at the Sports bro table without even a moment's hesitation.>They go dead quiet when you do, all staring at you.>"Hey...uh...Anon, right?">"You don't normally sit here, do you dude?">The silence pervades for a split second.>"WELL WELCOME TO THE SP-SP-SP-SPLASH ZONE *BELCH* BIITCH!">One of the dudes squirts his water bottle over everyone at the table.>This includes you.>They laugh, call him an asshole and don't seem hostile.>You got some water on your Taco Pizza.>Anger is there. Power over yourself. >There it is.>The voice.>From the book.>It's a woman's voice.>It's warm...almost motherly and yet mocking. > Don't take it personal. We just need to get to know each other. >The Chads are gaggling about something.>One of the Wrestlers is bro-ing out on one of the Football players.>They appear to be arguing over which sport requires more dedication or...something.>"Hey.">Your head snaps around, meeting a pair of aqua marine eyes that cut through your soul.>"Anon, right? I saw what happened.">It's Jackie Lynn. The Skateboard queen of Echo Creek.>"It takes a big guy to not swing somebody like that...you've got mad self control.">She touches your face where you were hit.>"Pretty tough too, looks like.">The bros are silent as death, frozen mid shirt-lift for their Wrestler v Football player throwdown. What do?
>>1372844I'm assuming the scenarios we get placed in determines what stat we can level up.We didn't do anything physical, but we did avoid a punch and resolve this without violence, so the stats we can level up are based on the stats that relate to that scenario.Say we get into a fist fight and we have the option to defend ourselves, try to stay back to dodge any moves, or go in and make the first strike. We go for the first strike, and knock our opponent on their ass, giving us an opportunity to further beat their face in, which we do. This will most likely give us an option to increase our strength, perception, or agility.Or if we use our "gifts" to resolve problems, we might gain some different options for our stats, possibly Will again, Psi strength, and Mental balance. All made up stats, but just an example based on our scenarios.Imagine it like Morrowind or Oblivion and how we can increase our base stats, and how certain stats get bonuses when leveling them up when using one particular skill, like sneaking to level up will give a huge bonus to agility. Just an example. Although, that's just my guess. I don't know how stats will be decided.

>>1373226Oh, and before we forget, say hello. It's nice to be nice.
Brb my brothers.1 hour.My finest Heckapoo clone to Anon who draws our Mind-Anon. Complete with his "I'm gonna shot the school up" ensemble.
>>1373226Gotta remember the five Ds of dodgeball. Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and Dodge! Also, maybe we can use a little magic power to make sure we don't get nailed too hard.
>>1373226Note: Justin's an attention hog.I think that last message is to us, he wants us to pay attention to him. In the very least, if we want to get on his good side, all we have to do is listen to him.The other messages might be something else. Something worse. Either it's something far less terrible and he's only referring to his own strength and speed, or he's referring to performance enhancing drugs. If he ever becomes an ally to us, this will be a huge disadvantage.
>>1373265Should I know what the fuck is the book or who's the one speaking?I only know Star is a fairy princess, Marco is her ((((Friend)))), and that THICC girl who I think is a mermaid ends up with him, or somthing. So yeah, I still have no idea what's going on.I'm gonna have to star watching it.
>>1373269Seconded, that's something I forgot to mention. We need to listen to Justin if we want his help and friendship. We're gonna need ALL the help we can get if we need to go up against Star and friends.
>>1373285the voice is probably this evil queen lady called queen eclipsa
>>1373226Supporting >>1373239, defend the book, place it in the back of your body.Just get hit once in the front, try to fall forward or to the side, and then sit out. Also for >>1373269, help Justin to the extent of being his shield. Do not try to take an offensive position.
>>1373285Anon's just anon.We know Star's a magic princess, but not much else other than she made Marco less of a friend to us. Oh, and she punches like a motherfucker.>>1373298Most likely. I still advise taking as many precautions as we can. Magic in any form is bound to fuck someone up.Most likely the book can only speak to our mind if we're in skin contact or in close proximity. If we want to plan ahead, we need to do so without the Book / Eclipsa knowing.>>1373287Unless she starts to go for our book, there's no reason to engage with her.Our Momma, though she didn't teach shit due to her Xanax addiction, taught us that we need to play it defensive and constantly approach things carefully.
>>1373316"Hope for the best, Plan for the worst."It's unlikely, but still a possibility, therefore, we should plan for it.Though, to be honest, the biggest threat to us is probably the book. we should almost certainly moderate our use of it, so that we have less of a chance of our personality changing beyond repair, or worse, turning into a gollum like creature.
>>1373360Then we need to find a way to disable her. Anon doesn't know what sort of powers she has, all he really knows is that she hits hard.We need to consult the book about Star later.
>>1373265Christ I miss photoshop.
Are we going to retake Marco's cute butt fom Star?
>>1373399>>1373360Preparations are alright, but let's not actually start something.I'm guessing our ultimate goal is learning about the book, magic, and getting with Jackie. Star may not even be an issue until WAY later.
>>1373434He distanced himself from us for her.Why should Anon get back with him?>>1373440Agreed.
>>1373399Good idea.>>1373265When you're back, I'd like to know what kind of gun our mother has, whether it's a long gun or a handgun, and for the long gun, whether it's a rifle or a shotgun.Though, you did say she kept it under her bed, so I'm tempted to say it's a handgun. If it is a handgun, I'd like to know what caliber it's in, if it's a revolver or a semi-auto. this isn't too important, but I would like to know.>>1373440Okay.
>>1373457I'd bet money that it's going to either be one of those six or five shot snub pistols that are pretty shitty or if our mom knows her stuff she'd might get a glock that being said it's debatable and depends on our socioeconomic standing at the moment. Are we suburbia kid with a single mom raising us or do we have some urban ghettos shit going on?
>>1373480Considering where the show takes place, we're probably in a suburb, with our mother living off of alimony from our father. And yeah, a Saturday night special makes sense for someone like our mother.
>>1373480Unless we're part of a magnet program, Echo Creek is LA area suburbia. Any weapon our mom may have must also be California legal, so don't go getting your hopes up.
>>1373452>Why should Anon get back with him?Because I want him for myself.I think the book is already affecting me.
Alright gentlemen. Last post of the night.SVQ WILL CONTINUE TOMORROW AROUND 12:30PM CENTRAL U.S. TIME>>1373238>>1373239>Thinking quickly you rush to Justin's back.>You slip the book to the backside of your pants, tucking your jacket over it for safekeeping.>A dodgeball whizzes by your ear!>Justin spots the assailant and...>d6+4 str>9!>SLAPS THEIR SHIT WITH RED RUBBER!>They do a little backflip> Sick. >You shake your head clear as someone's dodgeball rolls to your feet...>>1373248>>1373261>(H-hey? Hello?)> Duck, sweetie. "DUCK!?">You involuntarily shout, while crouching down.>Justin does the same.>"Nice, save dude! Good eye!">He takes the dodgeball from you with grateful grin.>"Let's waste these fools!">Using Justin's gains you protect the book.>You're a bit clumsy but with two sets of "eyes" and the books chuckling warnings you manage to dodge nearly every shot.>>1373266>>1373269>You copy some of Justin's moves...>As best you can.>You trip when he sprints.>You stumble when he dodges.>Still, you don't get creamed even if it's by straggling in his coat tails.>One last group remains.>Ferguson and Brittney. The Queen Bitch Wong.>"I HATE this game! But losing to losers? CHya! As if!">She hurls her best fastball right at your face.> Why is it always the face? You Must choose now, Anon.>Try to dodge the ball yourself, using only your shitty Dex>Grab Justin, saving yourself from harm but letting him get hitOr...> Call the fat one. He owes you. >Attempt to make Ferguson jump in front of the ball. You could also just eat it!What's it gonna be?(We close after this post)>>1373457You've only seen it once. It looks like a handgun but Anon does not into /k/>>1373432You're a blessing on this house.
>>1373748>Does not into /k/Damn.>Dodge the ball.Lose the battle, win the war. This dodgeball game is nothing, but Justin's friendship could be invaluable.
>>1373748Go for gold and attempt to catch it.
>>1373748fucking headbutt it right back into her bitch face
>>1373748>Try to dodge the ball yourself, using only your shitty Dex
>>1373748Go for broke! Dodge it! Or catch really, be rather amazzzzzing if we manage it
>>1373748Push your head forward, tilting it slightly downward. Take the ball, but try to make sure it only hits your forehead. Getting a broken nose would suck.
>get hit by dodge ball>have to roll will to not fucking kill everyone
Rolled 6 + 1 (1d6 + 1)>>1373748Use perception to catch the ball. That's an out for her like in the Dodgeball movie, right? Or at least no elimination for us.
>>1373800>>1373849Two for dodge>>1373819>>1373847Two for headbutt!WE'VE TIED!SPECIAL EVENT!>Your grit your teeth, close your eyes and swing your head backwards.>You lurch yourself forward, screaming your warcry!>"AAAAAAA-WHOMP!">You pause...blink for a moment.>You caught it.>"You caught it!? NO FAIR!">"Dude...">You caught it.> In your mouth. >The gym is dead silent...>Then it EXPLODES IN UPROARIOUS LAUGHTER AND CHEERING!>Justin nails Brittney with the last ball he had.>People chant your name.>The coach reminds everyone they still need to run laps.>Everyone forgot Ferguson.>Today was a magical kind of day.> See you next, time.
>>1373899Floor's open for questions and comments on how I'm doing DMing this thing. I'll get to you guys after the drive home.
>>1373899Nice! Literally ate rubber to win the game. I like it.>>1373907It reads pretty well but I was wondering if this runs into spoilers but, how the hell did we get a Necronomicon more or less in the school bath room no less? Was our sheer despair and misery enough to catch the attention of the Queen of Monsters or were we literally the first chuckle fuck to stumble across it?
>>1373895Ah shit, that's not an option, is it?Alright, best tank it then. If she starts gloating, we can ADD HER TO THE LIST of people to show we're not to be fucked with.Should we roll endurance with no bonus or will to tank the emotional damage of getting a dodgeball right in the schnozz? And no, we'll try to keep Anon-boy from being a serial killer or psycho, we just want to protect ourselves. We're gonna be a High honor student, dammit.
>>1373899Good job everyone.>>1373907Thanks OP, it was fun.
>>1373899holy shit i fucking love this
>>1373899Anon-boy's gonna turn his life around. He'll be doin' good.I feel like we sold his soul to the Devil, and it's one of those episodes where literally everything goes right until he realizes he's 110% fucked once the Devil comes to collect on his debt. And the most witchcraft we've used so far is just reading someone's immediate thoughts, which was only useful about two times. This is gonna turn tragic real quick, isn't it?>>1373907It's going good, mang.
>>1373899Thanks for running, Quest. >>1373907I'm not too sure about this "special event for a tie" stuff. It feels like an unearned victory to me. It would also be appreciated if you were to clear up how dice rolling is going to work, i.e. best of three, average of three, first one to roll, etc. Creating a twitter to make announcements would also be appreciated, and will help your players continue to regularly attend sessions.Otherwise, promising work and I've archived the quest on sup/tg/.
>>1373907On a personal note, I don't dig how we have to roll for actions that don't sheerly revolve around luck. After all, if we ought to fail at something, we might as well fail due to the inability to choose the proper way to succeed; i.e. Maybe trying to duck just gets me hit anyways, and dodging to the side would guarantee my success. Also, I'd prefer if stats not so much determined my likelihood of success at rolls as much as be an expression of how limited our talents are. For example, "Oh, your -1 Strength means you can't carry a 24-pack of Water Bottles for shit. Needless to say, this also means you shouldn't expect yourself to stop most anything from crushing you."And even if we HAVE to deal with dice rolls, I would feel all the more comfy with a d100 than with a d6. At least with a d100 you can scale the likelihood of levels of success more accurately. But that's just me and my tastes. Otherwise, everything for the most part seems good.
For reasons of posterity, I'm posting the original storyposts from the /co/ threads. Those and one shitpost.>>>/co/91598833>>>/co/91599167>>>/co/91599803>>>/co/91600041>>>/co/91600240>>>/co/91600574>>>/co/91600716>>>/co/91600951>>>/co/91602376>>>/co/91602686>>>/co/91603330
>>1373907If you're still here quest, can Anon actually hear us?Or does he just do what we say, unaware of us?
Home at last!>>1373916There's plenty of magical and plot relevant reasons you found the book, anon. You can always go look where you found it. In that mysterious hole in the bathroom wall. >>1373949Love you, bebe>>1373958It's gonna get heckin' weird.Gonna get a little wild. This book ain't from round hereAnon is tho, grew up here spent most of his life in this school district>>1373975What can I say?I like chaos.I hate tiebreakers. The SPECIAL EVENTSWon't always be good...I'll go ahead and make the twitter I suppose but just leaving a time on the last post makes sense too doesn't it? Lemme look into it.Dice rolling is currently going on a "Conflict" basis. Where if it's Anon vs Something be it an opponent, a weight, a dodgeball then he rolls against it's DC. Some stats I just keep in mind. Like how his low Str also affects his ability to intimidate or say, manhandle somebody gettin' rough.I've been letting Anons decide the action. Then we roll.I guess I could roll? Would that be fair?>>1373985>>1373985See above
>>1374073Oh, Anon can't hear us for dick. We're extra-dimensional trans-sapient god beings to his puny ass. The book on the other hand...
>>1374083Good to know.Again, thanks for the quest. It was fun and I hope I'll be able to catch the next one.
>>1374080>It's gonna get heckin' weird.Hekapoo-quest with Anon to get construct, fire demon waifu when?Shitpost aside, I think either limiting it to three Anons rolling for a specific action or keeping it to you yourself rolling will make things a bit easier to handle.
>>1374080Having a Twitter is more flexible and let's you tell players that you won't be able to make it to a session, or if you are able to run a surprise session. Of course, this is all completely optional and up to your discretion.>>1374083Does the book get a vote?
>>1374080If you were to ask me, I feel it's needless to say my answer would be "Don't roll EVER; just let Group Vote decide." But if you would really want dice rolling to be a thing, having it be Anon With Highest Roll Has Their Choice Be Heeded would be okay I guess.>>1374113This too, I guess.
>>1374126If we were to do that, then a 1d100 would be better than a 1d6 to avoid ties between rolls.
>>1374080Oh, before I forget, do you have a time when the next session is scheduled?
>>1374138And that is exactly why I stated in >>1373985that d100 would be generally better than d6, albeit the focus of my statement was aimed at the Action Rolls moreso than the Decide Who Gets Heard Rolls.
>>1374138>>1374126I'd rather do the highest roll choice. The anons seem to be developing a cohesive personality and motivations for our boy. I genuinely like and appreciate that.>>1374113 The book doesn't care. Or, atleast...she seems flexible to all of our choices and wants to do 'something' with Anon. I've made the Twitter!https://twitter.com/StarVsQuestFollow it for radical times.>>1374158It'll be tomorrow around 12:30 Central U.S. time.
>>1374199*Not do the highest rolled choiceHowever, we're gonna be using d100 dice from now on. I'll probably brainstorm up a stat method that works with that. However, starting small with little plus 3s and 2s appeals to me since the eventual ceiling of power is quite high.
>>1374199Rad.See you in about 12 hours.I may have to do important shit and interview higher up people, but that isn't gonna delay me from making terrible decisions for Anon in this quest.
>>1372337>>1374199So... what's our endgame? It better be skeletons, ok?Whatever we do, there better be skeletons on it.
>>1374341Di-...did you shop this, Anon?
>>1374341To bone Star.
