‘There is no such thing as paranoia. Your worst fears can come true at any moment.’ These are the words that protected you long before any of these ‘monsters’ made themselves known. You had lived in peace and isolation before these strange creatures that live amongst you, hide amongst you, and feed on you. The wolves in sheep’s clothing revealed themselves to you. The only monsters you’ve met formally as a monster was the late Succubus; Nickole, but she revealed a whole new world to you in her time alive. After an incident with an unnamed Mimic she met an unfortunate demise at your hand. You comforted yourself with the phrase, it kept you from breaking down, at least for now. Thoughts of all the potential betrayals, the lies, the deceit, the variables that could come from these monsters filled your head. If nothing else but to block out her face, the screams she made in her final moments. Words of how you let someone like her too close and what you did was the only logical course of action. How you were in the right, how you were just, how she wasn’t a person, just something that would feed off you. These words provided a bitter comfort. self-preservation was paramount, it was only a matter of time before they, she, deemed you knowing far too much to be worth the trouble, despite your apparent excess energy that you have in spades. As the day closed you decided to remain in the city, the church specifically. You didn’t know how far these monsters would go to find you for the murder of the gir- their kin. It could end at the city limits or the ends of the earth itself. You didn’t know their capabilities, aside from being able to sense your energy. You could use an ally, and the church was the most likely solution. They gave you the book that killed the monsters, they need to know something. Right? You arrived at the doorstep of the church, shaking. The lives you took while not actually… people… still had an effect on you. The priest was there again, he took you in, gave you a room, said he would give you some time to calm down and rest. Normally you would not trust this, but he has yet to hurt you- ‘She never hurt you either.’ That line of thinking would get you nowhere. You were tired, more panicked than usual, you needed to calm down. You attempted to sleep. This was a mistake; your unconscious mind did not care for any rationale made by your more logical half. Your sleep was uneasy, the scenario playing over and over. Nickole’s scared and confused visage transforming into a pained howling mess before fading from existence completely. You awake with a start, darkness surrounding you as you lay in the cot provided by the priest. That last dream had been a bit too much for you… Still though you were exhausted, whatever sleep you did get never seemed to last long or help with that. Maybe you should…>Find the priest>Explore the church>Keep trying to sleep

>>1365431>>1365433>>1365440It’s no use, you can’t sleep like this. You might as well just be banging your head against the wall for how effective it is.Maybe you could try to knock yourself out…No, no. Just wander a bit, pacing always helped you and now you have plenty of space to pace to. You walk out of the small side room you were staying in to the darkened main hall of the church, the rows of seats leading to the podium surrounded by Christian imagery. There is another room to the opposite end of yours, and what you know to be the bathroom the door next to yours. There is also the front entrance.>Inspect podium>Inspect pews >Go to the opposite room>Go to the bathroom
>>1365445>Go to the bathroomSplash some water, maybe take some bandages and cotton balls if they have a few spare.
>>1365445You walk to the bathroom and flip on the lights. It isn’t much, it looks to be a regular bathroom with little outside the sink, toilet, toilet paper, and paper towel dispenser. There is a cabinet beneath the sink, but it has a lock on it.You splash a bit of water on your face, trying to calm you down a bit.Well now you are tired, stressed, AND wet.You take paper towel and wipe your face dry. That really didn’t help much, if at all.>Inspect Lock>Keep searching>Leave bathroom and go to the pews>Leave bathroom and go to podium>Leave bathroom and go to the opposite room>Try and go back to bed…

>>1365460You decide to take a bit of your anger out on the toilet real quick. You give it a healthy kick, before recoiling and hissing in pain as you stub your toe on the damn thing. Not your brightest plan.To take your mind off the pain you lower yourself to the locked cabinet to see if there is anything you can do with it. It’s an older lock, might be easy to pick if you had something to pick it with in the first place. Maybe you could force it open? Although the priest may not be to happy with you if you start vandalizing the church.>Attempt to force it open>Search elsewhere>Write in

A bible like your own, some decorations nailed down of course, and some strewn about papers that have little if not nothing of interest. It probably was a waste of time more than anything, but you can’t help but feel you are missing something. There has to be something of interest in this church. >>1365540Amongst the worn cushions and pockets of the pews you find small silver cross, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It appears to have been a necklace at some point, but the chain is missing. It might be useful, and if it is real silver hopefully worth something to you, you think you recall stories of some monsters being weak to silver. You were never really good with jewelry or the likes so you’d need to ask someone who was before you knew if it was actually silver. The moon still hangs in the air as you stand amongst the pews, although something feels… off. Or at least hides itself to the point you no longer notice it. If you even noticed anything in the first place… Was there even anything there? Was it just a hallucination? A trick of your mind? Was there a monster hiding nearby? Were they here to kill you. These thoughts haunt you as you return to your room, cross held firmly in one hand and bible held firmly in the other. You attempt to stay awake as you await the inevitable attack, you made it a good time too… you think. But eventually your bodies need for sleep had overtaken your desire of self preservation, and you fade out of consciousness once more.>Session endSeems a bit slow today and I'm tired as shit, gonna end it early today. Sorry. Will be around longer tomorrow.
Turns out I am fucking retarded and tomorrow I am busy. Whoops. Will start a session Sunday though. I promise.Unless they cancel because some fuck doesn't show up then I can run.
