My name is Mary.I now own a dungeon. Not by choice, mind you. I was forced into this when the previous owner placed a curse on me after I tried to audit him. Now I'm the ruler of this place until my asshole of a boss decides to send someone to free me from the curse. So, anywhere between a month and forever. But I'm trying to make the most of it while I'm here.Right now I'm taking a well deserved break.
>>1325188(Immediately begins screaming in terror)
You know, I'm actually feeling pretty confident about this partner. I can't see any possible negative reprocussions from this. And we're going to save so much money in repairing the dungeon. It looks like no one's coming today so I think I'll-"MARY" The Demonologist runs in and shouts. "SOMEONE JUST TELEPORTED INTO THE DUNGEON!""PFFFT. What!? How!? I didn't even get any alerts!""I don't know! This has never happened before! We're all on high alert! Dungeon is locked down! We need you!"1/2

Oh wow this is weird. So we have at the same time MAQ, Audit and a Audit 0.5 by Lamb. You know that today is supposed to be April fools and not Christmas, right?
>>1325203>Mary pulls up her controls and spies on the new heroes who have entered the dungeon."Elf Boy, Eel, and Gremlin..? These are some odd hero names." Mary muses."Fitting for some odd heroes. Mary, I can tell these guys have some very unusual runes on them. Runes I've never even heard of before. We could potentially do great things with them.""Is that so? Alright, let's see what they do...">Mary watches the group look around the first room in the dungeon. Ms. Bloops is in the fountain and waiting. When Elf Boy approaches the fountain she pops out and waves at them. This will determine their entire dungeon run... Please fail so I can kill you and get your runes.>The boy pats Ms. Bloops head. She burbles happily.Fuck.Alright, well...I guess we go easy on them? What should we have Ms. Bloops do, if anything?
>>1325239Have Bloops milk the elf for his syrup, use the syrup to get a syrup rune
>>1325239Follow the rules, as always. Curi points to the door and wishes them luck. Ashley gives them each a token for being nice. Simple as that.

>>1325239TALI YA FUCKUP WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW!!
Been thinking alot about this quest and where we could go from here, especially in the way of profiteering while keeping our identity as a lore freindly slime themed dungeon.Ive seen players throw around the ideas of branching the dungeon out both upwards in the form of a tower and outwards as a small series of preface quests to gain entrance to the dungeon proper, which are awesome ideas and definately worth experimenting with but I have something that we can start rolling out once we get the entrance renovated.I think that making a walled hub outside the dungeon, either a korok village or a slime town of somekind would be most thematically correct in this situation, being that slimecrown citadel is supposed to be the estate and fortress of the slime royalty. This would allow us to sell space for outside vendors to set inns, guild halls, more merchant space, and also incorporate quest lines that will expound on the lore to our wishes, which will all add to the experience without cluttering the inside of the Dungeon. In addition, we aught to consider expanding Bloops Foyeur into a hall of sorts, with a few plaques describing my most radical idea, an selectable progressing instance list. We could have Slimecrown as it is now be the base and origin form of the dungeon, now that we have crammed a healthy amount of mechanics and variety into it, and make it the cornerstone of expansion versions to come, and advertise the ever loving fuck out of our expanding content roster. This way people who want to take the dungeon as it is dont get put off by a constantly changing dungeon layout but at the same time we could deliver a constant stream of unintrusive new content. This is also good because as we release new itterations adventurers will go back to re-experience the old instances and re-aquaint themselves with the lore in preparation of new releases.I have a two ideas for our first two iterations, aside our current dungeon layout. We could have a Fallen Queen dungeon ark, maybe paying a outside contractor for a cinematic of some kind to drum up more hype, and have it revolve around an attempted escape by Jeffery, have Curi's throneroom refitted to an alternate version with the ceiling and back wall destroyed and covered in 'dead' Actor slimes, And have Curi take on a more antagonistic feral form from being attacked and corrupted by jeff. Then we can shuffle some of the rooms, replace normal mob placements with Wretched slimes (Water, Power, Gravity, etc) and have the royal siblings regrouped to the arena we had planned and have them as our boss rush with Curis throneroom sealed behind defeating them!
>>1325239Maybe check if any of their clothing has their runes on it, and if so, have Ms. Bloops grab at it and pout with big sad slime eyes.
>>1325359The Second Idea could revolve around the tower, and the royal Mage slime academy and their experiments to develop more powerful slimes to fight Jeffery, have the tower stocked with all of our experimental slimes and slimes which dont otherwise fit our dungeons, giving people who want a mob heavy experience an option to climb through floors of abberant, cloth, explodey, Psychic, mage, and monk slimes to reach the grand mage slime. Then to wrap it all together and make it comfortable for players to enjoy we have the plaqes in Mrs' bloops Hall each describe the different iterations and dungeon choices, and they can choose them before begginging the dungeon proper. This sort of middle ground allows us to expand going forward, without abandoning all the great ideas we have worked in so far, as well as offer a new route of community interaction where we can post advertisments for our new expansions, and even hold a big event for the completion of our "Beta run" of slimecrown that the adventurers have had so far! We could hold it as a big YUM sponsored event in our slime/korok village and drum up refreshment and merchandise sales (obviously no complete sets, all the best and rarest merchandise still locked behind the token store). What do you guys think? Awesome or shit? Im hoping that this would be revolutionary if we did it in setting and would blow people away.
>>1325239That's a girl, Mary. I know elves look pretty feminine, but I didn't expect your controls to be so racist.
Posting the list of runes and opposites I compiled at the very end of last thread.https://pastebin.com/8whuyRTM
>>1325359>>1325369Were I not on mobile right now. I would give a more detailed reubttal. But what I WILL say. Is that in theory I really do like it. However, I also think this is an incredibly huge money sink. We'd have to be extremely careful with our cash and rune expenditures to make something like this happen. This will take a lot of coordination with multiple people. But if we pulled it off...I mean...that is pretty wicked.
>>1325393We would be the disney world of dungeons
>>1325403Isn't that what all dungeon masters aspire their dungeons to become?
>>1325359>>1325369This benevolent monsters idea is still bad. What's wrong with the good old role of being the villain? Or resentful against adventurers?
>>1325423It's old and played out to me, if I'm being honest.
>>1325423BooooooooooThis is a bad
>>1325423Well, I mean, we have been working with benevolence and its worked so far. That and, well, adventurers are raiding their castle. So the hate is there when it needs to be.
Were basically a theme park aren't we? So all employees need to stay in char with the visitors being allowed to play in certain roles (heros, bandit, invaders etc}
>>1325462I told you! Its the fucking disney world of dungeons!
>>1325423With at least a faction of the monsters in the dungeon posing as benevolent, you get a lot of possible interaction with the adventurers you couldn't get otherwise. That way we can, as an example, design fights where you have to use the abilities of allied "good" slimes to win, stuff like that.makes for more interesting design me thinks
Hey look! It's us on the elf boy! Hi me!
>>1325462That's been a recurring/defining concept of Slimecrown we keep coming back to. We're not a mean dungeon unless you don't 'play by the rules'. You stay in-bounds and we're a blast, and we have plenty of prizes for you. You try to pull bullshit (not just cheese things, that's different from cheating) and we stomp all over you.
>>1325476Not to mention new sub quests. I mean, in the future when we are huge. Sub quests will really help provide variety. Not to mention offer potential new pathways of entry.I mean thats what the Sophie sub quest is supposed to be in the future.
>>1325271GIB UPDATE I WANNA SEE FROM DUNGEON CAM!
>>1325476Benevolent NPCs are fine, we could have, for example, rebellious slimes or greedy slimes who want loot too, etc. That's ok.It's the "whole place is a front to keep jeff down", or if he's the only real villain in the entire dungeon, that's bother me greatly.
They already reached the metal slime
>>1325517He'd basically be drawing THREE quests, man. Something' gotta give. I think this thread was just to intro things. We can probably suggest things in here to avoid giving the game away to the characters in the other thread.
>>1325524The other audit is a mimic.
>>1325524Larro running this and the MAQ quest Lamb is running the other audit quest

>Mary watches the group leave Ms. Bloops room and go into the other chamber.>The Elf Boy looks around, clearly being the leader of the group."... This can't be this simple. Hold on guys, let me study this for a bit... I think.""No need to think, Tali! Not when I can fly!" Gremlin shouts as she leaps across the pit. Flames flare from her hands and feet as she flies across it.>When she gets near the end a panel suddenly leaps out and slaps into her, sending her flying back.Ow... That looked painful.Yeah, I think just about everyone's fallen for that.>Mary watches as the Elf Boy looks at the rope carefully. He squints and stares at it."I have an idea guys..." He says.>The Elf Boy opens a book and begins writing in it. He places one hand on the page and aims at the rope. A spell is cast and dries off the slime on that rope. He tells Eel to try it out.>Eel slithers forward and leaps. She grabs the rope and swings across and lands safely."Ha! I knew it. It wanted us to fall into the moat." He runs and leaps across the moat as well, using the rope to cross.>Gremlin does the same, landing safely on the other side.>She runs up to the chest."Hey, guys! A chest! I call the loot!"Oh god no.>She flips open the chest. The mimic springs to life, grabs her, and begins eating her."AAAAAH HELP! THE LOOT IS EATING ME!">The others spring into action immediately. Elf Boy begins flinging fire spells at the mimic. The Eel wraps around the mimic and shocks him. Gremlin, in a panic, starts blasting the thing with fire.>It is a bitter battle but eventually they win.>The mimic drops and spews out its reward. 100 Gold."... Is that an alm..?" The Elf Boy asks as he picks up the gold.>The group staggers to the next room.1/2
>>1325558Mary, I think you can kick your feet up and pop open a cold one this time. I don't see these guys either giving us too much trouble or fighting unfairly.
>>1325558Oh, she almost got her head chomped off!
>>1325558Wonder what their night vision is like. They are in for a bit of a challenge.
>>1325558Uh Mary, these guys can't resurrect.
>>1325558Umm... Mary. The guild of adventurers all use a single currency, right? Why do they not know about that?
>>1325566Never let your guard down. That elf boy's got the smell of unusually crafty protagonist about him.
>>1325522Hm, well yeah, i think i see your point, we still need to have antagonists, and we had that untill now by having the adventurers raid the monster castle. but if we make the fight against jeff the overarcing theme there would be no story motivation to fight the slimes right?Well we dont need to make the slimes the good guys as such, they are still monsters. but if you choose a dungeon run where jeff has broken loose or something then you fight corrupted slimes at the side of the other slimes.just because they sit on an even bigger evil doesnt make the Monsters especially nice. But we should keep in mind, not to make them too "good". (even if they are ridiculously cute)
>>1325578All the better! I'm not fussed if he wins, I'm saying he looks like a proper challenger that'll get by fair and square, or acceptable cleverness- IF he gets by at all.
>>1325578That... Is a good question...I'm not sure. I've never heard of an alm.>>1325573Hmm... My readings say they can. It does mention that they don't have insurance, though. That's their fault.>She watches as they stumble into the next room. The Metal Slime is there.Oh god this is the room with the oil and the explodey slimes...Should... Should I go a bit easy on them? I feel kinda bad. I'm not sure if they'll make it through.
>>1325582well, corrupted slime's sound's like a great idea for a sewer/insane asylum/ prison level.
>>1325592Misquoted, but we know what you mean. At any rate.........eeeeeegghhhhhhh I guesssssss. You're the DM. We can dial it back a bit. No free rides, but a BIT.
>>1325592no, it'll be fiiiine.
>>1325592maby a lack of explodey slime's wouldn't be amiss. no insurance sound's like something bad could happen.
>>1325592Let them make it to the hub room. But just barely. Make so they make it through the room by the LITERAL SKIN OF THEIR TEETH.
>>1325592Why go easy, Mary? They want the FULL dungeon experience!
>>1325592Release the boom juice.
>>1325592Maybe don't have the explodey wake up from light sensitivity, but I mean, if they are noisy and wake up explodey, its fair game. If the alm is equivalent to gold, the Ashley will heal em up.Is there a way to check if they are insured. I am not seeing any note about that.
>>1325582See, you get it.And also, having slimes being antagonists and villainous give adventurers that heroic thrill that many seek. It offers even more potential tot he dungeon.
>>1325607But I'm pretty sure that devilishly handsome and intelligent orb around Elf Boy's neck doesn't have skin. Or teeth. >>1325592Mary, ask Demonologist. I'm pretty sure she got hit upside the head by some interdimensional currency awhile ago.
>>1325592Nope, go normal or hard. They have a protagonist with them, they'll be fine.
>>1325592Two out of three of them are fire proof and physically resilient. If the noodle elf dies, they can resurrect him, probably.
>>1325614She already said she can see that they're not insured.
>>1325614>>1325620Never mind. I can't seem to read things...no insurance is bad. But Ashley is coming up next. So we can be slightly nicer, but still keep explodey and oil.
>>1325592SCAN DAT ELF BOY. Just to be sure. Pay attention if he goes on a sudden random tangent talking to himself and what not.
>>1325615The last time that a adventure went into the dungeon, almost every slime went for the kill for trespassing. slime's be territorial mate. they dont like it if you go into their home.
>>1325623Who is Ashley?
Arrest them for entering without an adventurer license and not having insurance, then force them to work in the slime pit to repay us

>>1325655JACK IS BACK
>>1325643>>1325592I think that elf boy is carrying some sort of slime core with him. Probably a super rare item. You should have a slime steal it if at all possible.
Maybe we should go a bit easy on them, at least for a while. Completely butchering them in only the second or third room might lead to bad reviews purely out of spite.
>>1325592Look for an orb, the moment you grab it off him you will win ultimate power when it is combined with the crown
>>1325729Why go easy on them? They seem pretty capable so far.The mimic was a fluke.
>>1325729the trick is to let them off the hook at the last second without them thinking we let them off the hook.
Well they caught the Metal Slime. Guess they got a lot of tokens for that! Maybe they'll take some RSJ. I bet that Elf would be an amusing slime.
>>1325643Mary, why don't we have any slimes designed to harvest elf syrup? We could bottle it and make a fortune.
>>1325782>elf syrupwhat that?
>>1325808It's syrup. That comes from elves. It's totally high in protein and vitamins and shit.
>>1325815Maybe it goes well on pancakes like Royal Slime Jelly?
>>1325819It goes well with Brawndo. Elf Syrup and Brawndo, it's what you crave!
>>1325819>Royal Slime Jellytruly the best. but only royals can have it with there pb and j
>>1325808An elven delicacy, one that elves only shared with outsiders after becoming intimately familiar with them.
>>1325845Or in the store for the low low price of 10 tokens!Warning if consumed by non-slimes, side effects include temporarily turning into a slime. If you are a slime for longer than 4 hours, please squelch your way over to the nearest doctor. Blurbble to your doctor if RSJ is right for you.
I'll just let them go through normally... What's the worse that could happen? They seem like a capable team I imagine. I can't see any way this could possibly go.=BOOM=Oh my god she just fucking exploded! Oh god she's everywhere now! Why do we have this room!? That was just a kid!Oh god they're crying now. They're crying. The elf is crying really badly.I think the Gremlin is throwing up.And now they're screaming and running through the maze.They're...They're somehow going backwards through the maze.Oh god this is bad.I think they're going to give us a bad review.
>>1326013Block the entrance, Mary! They've gotta power through the dungeon!
>>1326013Oh shit, not bad reviews!Maaaaaybe a good time for helpful slimes to guide them to Ashley...or vice versa...
>>1326013Maybe give them a free stay at the spa to wash off all the chunks of their dead friend. Relax, you know?
Damn Mary that sentence, you jinxed it!Give them a free ressurrect in the next room. But we need to get them there. Can we block the Entrance?
>>1326013>>1326022He's right! Lock it down!If they do make it to the Hub, you should go greet them in person, maybe let the elf hold us for a minute as an apology maybe?
>>1326035Ah yes, wash that sushi sush-off.
>>1326013ms bloops save us/them!!!!! they need your help! they gae you a head pat they deserve it!!!
>>1326013guide them to the hub, have Plant Priest comfort their worries by stating that plant priest has the power to resurrect the dead. And then send them to the spa.
>>1326013That would be true... if any of them knew how to give a review. Or made it out of the dungeon alive, or had insurance. No witnesses, Mary. No one must know of this.
Wait why are there two threads?Which one should I be in?What's going on!?
>>1326013Lock the maze down, dont let them escape. And mary, please, they dont even have names, real names. Not even titles. Clearly they're just cannonfodder or dummies meant to test you.
why the fuck are these kids even in this dungeon? this is for actual adventurer! god dammit!!
>>1326013funnel them to cleric plant. they need a rez, say it's for being nice to bloops.
>>1326013Have Ms. Bloops show up to guide them to the hub. And then have Plant Priest rez the dead Eel. for a reduced fee. This is in exchange for being nice to Ms. Bloops.
>>1326013Just guide them to our cleric and give them a free revive.
>>1326013Lock it down, Make them power through it all! Remember they came to us!

>>1326105Yeah, teens do stupid stuff all the time
>>1326013Mary, they don't have insurance and teleported into the dungeon. They might not be official adventurers. Go check them out, see what's going on.

I want to think that even if we didn't know these folks, we'd still cotton on to 'something isn't right here', wouldn't we?
>>1326131I would hope so.
>>1326131real adventurers don't start crying when there buddy's die they just grab there revivals.

if we get them to the hub, we should talk to them and see why they ended up here.Maybe we can trade runes for free ressurections?
>>1326155or we could just help them. kids don't deserve the kind of trauma they just got.
>>1326163Kids shouldn't be messing with magic that puts them in danger.
>>1326163Agreed. Maybe there is a way that we can accomodate them, but also do a normal dungeon run. Surely we can give our minions boffers or something. Think of it like a laser tag or paintball match.
>>1326165I blame their parents. And the rap music. And the video games.
>>1326155Runes? what runes? All we know is that Elf Boy wrote something in a book.
>>1326175...Paintball's pretty legit.
>>1326175>BoffersI don't know, that Elf looks awfully noodley. Do we have anything gentler then boffers?
>>1326175like a kiddie version for the kiddies, when the get to the hub and get a revive we can have the butler slime lead them to a royal for a apology for the whole dying thing. Not even monster's want dead children on their hands
Weeeel yeah, buts first hear their story, if they are all "we are badass... doing dungeons..." then we can get at least something in return before we crank up the safetywheels to max.
>>1326175Eh we could heal them, take their runes, make them fall asleep and contact the adventureer association? I mean this is weird why would total noobs go to a dungeon that eveeyone online says is closed?
Well we are an professional in charge of a place of "Adult" entertainment So they do not qualify to be here and obviously snuck in but by allowing them to continue we end up taking responsibility That a bad for someone who been trained as an auditor
Okay, yeah. This is weird. We have to check this out like... Now. Something is off here.>Mary has Ms. Bloops go up to the adventurers and tries to calm them down. She uses soft slime noises and headpats. She then takes Elf Boy by the arm and leads him out of the dungeon, with the Gremlin following close behind.>She leads them both to the Cleric Plant, Ashley. He spreads his arms and welcomes them to the dungeon."Greetings," She says, "And welcome to the Slimecrown Citadel. Here you can rest and recuperate while you prepare for the challenges ahead. In order to- ... What? Oh, uhm... Sure thing, Boss.">She waves a hand and brings Eel back from the dead."Eel! You're back!" Elf Boy runs up to her and hugs her tightly."I was... Yeah, that was weird..." She says, "I could see all of you but I couldn't talk. There were words in the sky... Spectator Mode, they said...">Cleric Plant smiles."Welcome to Slimecrown Citadel. As you can see, so long as you are within this dungeon death is merely a slap on the wrist. I will bring anyone back for a small small fee. To make it to the final boss you must overcome trials. Can you do it?""... I don't know." Tali says, looking at the group. "That was really scary... We came here to do a dungeon but that was kinda like... Super scary."Okay so... It looks like they actually want to do a dungeon? But what do I do? I don't wanna scare what looks like a buncha high-school students.

But I think you have the right idea...this is why I lament the lack of more puzzles...we need more...>>1326187Well, we did do PR work saying that we actually are active and open...still this is way too bizzare...
>>1326195Put them in the cafe and ask their parents/guardian contact information Ask how did they end up here in the first place?
>>1326195Hrm, Mary. Is the Elf wearing a blue sphere on a necklace? Ask him if we can borrow that, then combine it with the crown. That way we can get a good idea of where they stand ability wise and we can tailor the dungeon for them. Also, call the Elf "Knife Ears." That's his nickname. >>1326197What if they get hit with the part that isn't fluffy? They could break something.
>>1326203And Make sure you get their ages and home address in case of authorities getting involved

>>1326195dungeons are meant to be scary.they are place where the monsters lurk and the adventure's go to die for the people.let's not do anything besides make sure they don't die. maby get rid of the ice elementals so they can meet lily but that's it.
>>1326195Tell them that they must first become registered adventurers and at least get the minimum insurance. This isn't like the Moon Elf, these kids are local and if thry have cash for runes thry have cash to be legal.
>>1326203>>1326195This. Also offer to ring up the Adventurer's Association and get an insurance policy going.

>>1326195Alright, but if they are here for the dungeon. They are aware of the consequences, right? We are a rather notorious dungeon. All the adventurers association members know about us. You are a part of the association right? We can try scaling it down for you, but they may not enjoy the challenge levels.Figure out exactly what they want and can do.Also, they did earn tokens for bloops, after all. Explain the tokens, spa and reccomend the store if they can't heal. Also figure out the deal about if they TPK. We will need to organize something if that happens.
>>1326195"Death and resurrection is a normal part of life here. Did you not know this? Is this your first time in a dungeon? Or is that not true in the dungeons you're used to?"
>>1326195Let them run it, but maybe tell everyone to ease up a bit; don't need to traumatize them with more violent death.
>>1326195Have Ashley preview the trials to them (but not too spoilery), so they know what awaits them and dont get discouraged.
We should ask, if they have done something like this before. And offer them a while to cool down, spa and food
>>1326195Like everyone's saying, dial it down, but let them go for it. These kids are in over their heads, but we're probably one of the only ones around that'll let them get their feet wet without worrying too much. Why not, if only to help cultivate the next generation?
>>1326257I hope the stockpile of Lamb images for Audit quest requested last thread get some use. There were great ideas.>>1326254Maybe Girard and Giselle can gossip a bit...you know how maids and butlers live to talk...
>>1326279Lamb is running another Audit Quest right now. I think is a joke? Happy April's Fools?
>>1326195It's time for Amateur Hour in the Slimecrown Citadel! Swap out our usual bosses with the Slime Princesses. We'll let the kids go at each other until they're out of money from the metal slime. Give them each 2 extra lives (Eel only gets one) for free... in exchange for the alms they got from the metal slime. We wouldn't want to teach these youngsters that life holds no value, after all! Once all their lives are expended they have to leave the way they came - no loot!...Actually, make that a *shared* life pool. 5 more lives to go between them. That way the whole party has more lives! ...To share.
>>1326296Oh I know, but those images could have been stockpiled. Long before today.
>>1326265Depends if there what age there are, if they can afford the insurance and if they understand the consequences Since they may be kids who just stole there parents keys to use the car and we can get into deep shit if we dont stop them
>>1326315Mary draws live save for the more detailed pics. And I totally derailed another quest just mentioning this one.
>>1326300SupportingUse the opportunity to give the nooblets (both ours and theirs) some experience
>>1325188Aw, the Captain Slime didn't get any art for this opening image. That's a shame, guess the Captain of the Guard will be added later, maybe.
>>1326279Oh yeah, I knew I forgot something I was supposed to do...In my defense Larro didn't say he was running audit to me.
I mean we got corp contracts to think of here, how would it be our rep if people found out we allowed a bunch of underage kids come into the dungeon and killed them? Since there is insurance and adventurers are organized around here instead of being adhoc
>>1326402Wow. He even fooled you!
>>1326412Hence why we should check to see if they have a permit. If they do not, tutorial mode it is.
>>1326431Nah we killed one, and traumatized the others,We need to contact there guardians and apologize of our mistake and hope they dont sue us
Yeah, let's give these guys easy mode. I'm not sure how far I wanna take protecting them. We risk ruining the immersion completely if I just have them taken in by authorities. But, like... Do they care about it? I can't tell. They clearly want to be in a dungeon but maybe they were thinking normal dungeons were a lot easier?================================="I understand completely. However, death and resurrection is a normal part of life here. Did you not know this? Is this your first time in a dungeon? Or is that not true in the dungeons you're used to?""We've never had a dungeon like this before, no... This is new.">He nods."We do offer an easier mode. Would you like to take it?"".... Yeah, sure. I think we need that."Alright. So you guys came up with some good ideas. Let's consolidate them all and make a more fun dungeon for these guys. That still kills them at the end so we can get those runes.
>>1326439Basically full corporate damage control mode>>1326452Huh becoming a little unethical mary
>>1326452So did we place the Guard Captain Slime in the dungeon yet? He needs a trial run, and some nooblets he can go easy on should work well.
>>1326452>That still kills them at the end so we can get those runes.Eh, we can't let them win for once?
>>1326467This is still a business.
>>1326452SET SWORDS TO STUN
>>1326467Hell no, we ain't a charity.
>>1326452"Okay, for Easy Mode you're going to need to wear this sign that lets the monsters know which fighting style to use."Hand Elf Boy a sign that says "PUSSY" to wear around his neck.
>>1326467Nah, we need the runes.
>>1326452lily offer's fun word puzzles that really hurt to think about. the whole princess side quest, were each princess has something the other wants and the first item on the list is some slime jelly for lily's pbnj, so she gives a book she hasn't read in awhile so she gives to you to give to one of the other's or something. really go deep in the lore because it's easy mode (aka lore mode)
>>1326452MAKE US WHOLE
>>1326452Put them in a room with rotating pots for a "find the key challenge". Other than that, make the enemies more punch-and-bruise rather than stab-and-eviscerate
>>1326479>Nah just make them wear the cat ears from the catkinis and film the whole thing.
>>1326452If these guys are still uninsured and have issues. We should probably draft up some sort of contract so that we can send them back home after death/revive, but we are still privvy to runes/items.I am still very concerned about them.I also think Ruth's balls should be a little less harmful. Silly balls like String, Mud, Wood, as opposed to the usual stuff...
>>1326439Before we do anything like that we should probably make shure they have guardians and are under age before we just insult customers. And yeah we run a business, so it would be nice to get something in return if they want to run.
>>1326499One occasional flaming ball, though. We DO want SOME challenge.
>>1326452well, just means curi is still going full power, but like, ruth doesn't use any of her murder balls. let's see how well they think they can slime.
>>1326499Yes on the contract idea, it works in case they all die.
>>1326452If you want to do a non-lethal game-over version, at least knock them out cold and reset the room by taking them back to the hub! Also we still gotta advertise YUM! as part of our deal. AND CAN YOU GET RID OF THAT BLASTED WATERMARK ON OUR DUNGEON CAST PICTURE?
>>1326499>>1326510Them going back is of no concern to us, since it'll resolve itself SOMEHOW. Probably when it's no longer April's Fools.
>>1326452If there is any way to alter rooms, maybe take out one fight room on the fly and do the following puzzle.>Heroes in an absolutely pitch black room, save for maybe 2-3 light slimes and an iluminated chest with a key/treasure inside>5-6 Shadow Slimes are lurking in the darkness...waiting...>The light slimes act as roaming lookouts, trying to spot the heroes as they make their way towards the treasure chest>they're attracted to noise so be quiet, and make sure you don't get spotted>If the heroes are spotted by the light slimes, the shadow slimes swarm the hero and kick them out of the room>If other heroes are still in the room, the door is locked and will remain locked until all party members have been spotted or a hero reaches the chest.>Once the key has been claimed, the room is illuminated and the heroes can leave the room
>>1326511But this episode of Slime Spelunking has been brought to us by the letter Y(um)
>>1326452It seems that they're used to adventuring, but not used to dying. They know how to get around traps and fight monsters but they freak out when they suffer severe injuries.Try and tone down the lethality of the challenges, but don't reduce the actual challenge too much. Have grappling tentacles instead of impaling spikes, have slimes that engulf and tickle them instead of exploding or burning, that sort of thing. Basically, instead of trying to kill them, try to capture them so you can steal their stuff. We can probably leave the "game" rooms like the baseball challenge and the dancing challenge alone. For Slime Knight, we could replace his sword with a whip so he can ensnare them from a distance. Also, let's make the rules for resurrection a bit more lenient. Let them pay Cleric Plant in advance for their next resurrection, and bring them back again if one of them manages to return to this room, but warn them that if they're all dead at the same time then they'll lose and you'll keep their equipment. But allow each of them to pick a single piece of equipment that you'll let them keep if they die.
>>1326537They can keep their underwear and any non magical clothes.
>>1326558Probably a good idea.
>>1326598So you'd have these idiot high schoolers pushed back into the world as naked as when they first entered it? Doesn't exactly bode well for PR, that.Though the other DM's in the land may get a hoot if they catch word of it.
Do we want to keep Lily and the Knight as a combat challange, we could make a riddle out of it.Maybe, Princes lily is Blind and they need the cure that they can only get when they solve the riddle?
>>1326659lily is sleeping deeply and a cure is needed. it's a kiss from a certain knight that is very flustered about the whole thing. they need to talk him up for it.
>>1326659>>1326666>>1326452I SUPPORT THIS IDEA.
>>1326666that is way better but missing the whole creepy lily is blind here too anglebut it sounds like a fun idea
>>1326452If they can get to the Café, they can do all those side quests we've been creating. Like the feud between Royal Slime Knight and Guard Captain Slime.
>>1326659We could prolly keep it a combat challenge--just tell Lily and her protector to put the kiddie gloves on for this one. Also to break Kayfabe for a moment these kids are the main cast from that other Larro quest, right?
>>1326676Noodle elf and two bright-eyed hopefuls.
>>1326676Elf - Boy is the Main Character of Larros Magical Academy Quest
>>1326558No way, we need otherworlder underwear.
>>1326698Is just cloth runes you pervert! And we already have those!
>>1326452I don't know about the Simon/Rosalyn room bans. But I know that they should be rewarded for shouting their attacks.
>>1326711well they should not ban runes or rune magicexcept when we are are at the point where we want to kill them
>>1326689>>1326688>>1326687Ahhh, alright. I ask because I've been meaning to hack through the rest of the backlog through that quest and the faces looked familiar. Also is Larro fucking running both this and Magical Academy Quest at the same time to show both perspectives of the action?
>>1326722 yes, larro is a madman
>>1326722yeshe is awesome like that
>>1326722You better believe it...Makes you wonder if we will get a chance to expand the dungeon. That is the part that always slows him down.
>>1326746And Lamb is running a different Audit Quest right now too! Only difference seems that we didn't take the sponsorship deal.
>>1326755We made plans for a second floor like dix or seven times by now.
>>1326766It's the middle of the night directly after getting the sponsorship. No one expected adventurers this fast. Also I don't have an example of a run with a YUM layout, so nah.
>>1326772Well its more to just widen out the dungeon right now. We can't second floor for a while. But maybe we can do things like add new puzzles or...shock of shocks...fix the entrance!
>>1326773Nope, we didn't take the deal or we would have 5000 gold coins! Besides is an interesting divergence point.
So we lower the lethality at the very least. Let them have fun and make it to the end.>>1326465Hey I... It's unique runes and everything. So, just, you know... It's a thing I kinda want. They'll be okay."We would be more than happy to provide it." Ashley says, "Also, if you can fill out some paperwork we can label you guys as official adventurers.""Uhm... Sure.">They fill out the paperwork and are given status as adventurers. However, they are unable to pay for the insurance for their items at the moment. Ashley informs them that they can do so later when they've obtained some more funds.>The group seems more... Calm.>They go to Lily's room, completely avoiding the mimic placed there.>Lily seems to be refusing to do this whole 'kiss the lily slime to win' thing.
>>1326787It's kiss the princess' hand and swear loyalty to her.
>>1326787>>1326791No, a kiss on the mouth!
>>1326787Lily quit your shit, it's a part of the job. We could just replace you with another major Slime character and keep you on the side lines.
>>1326787... the knight needs to kiss the lily. not the mini-adventurers
>>1326787Lily, c'mon, play nice--these kids are in way over their heads and just want a good time. And what do we do here at Slimecrown Citadel, if not provide a good time?
>>1326787Well, its not like Reginald and your lips will be touching. He has a helmet...unless of course...you want to kiss him instead...
>>1326787uhm we can turn it around and the knight is sleeping and lily has to be convinced?prbably more of a challange that way around anyway.
>>1326793With or without tongue?
>>1326787No no no, it's not the adventurers that kiss the slime. Rather, it's Lily's roguishly handsome knight who must be coaxed into embracing his true feelings and kissing his one true love. But if she's against that, we could... hmm... Royal Twister! If we can set up a makeshift twister pad, then they've gotta complete so many rounds to succeed. But if they fail, Lily's knight splashes them with slime, and then they can choose to try again or not (the slime makes it harder).
>>1326787no, it's not they kiss her, it's convince knight slime to kiss her. they gotta be hype men. do some "SHALALALA KISS THE GURL!"
>>1326803>>1326793Tongue, of course!
>>1326787Fair enough. I can see why that would be uncomfortable for her.Does she have an alternative to suggest? Besides just fighting them to the death, I mean. Perhaps she could send them on some sort of mini-quest to earn her favor before they can pass.
>Mary explains that they have to get the knight to kiss her, not that they kiss her.1/3
>>1326804Or if we can scare up some art supplies, then; Royal Portrait! Try to capture Lily's majesty in a drawing! Avoid offending the royal slime, and win!
because the knight is mute, the butler and maid explain this to them. they must get him to kiss the cute princess. otherwise she won't awak. she really shouldn't be practicing with that sleep spell you know!! (she's a mage right?)
>>1326787No, Lily, it's "Convince RSK to kiss the sleeping slime princess Lily to win". Get with the program.
>>1326816Whaddya think about that, RSK?
>>1326828Congrads, RSK, you're now the royal consort. You lucky dog, you.
>>1326828hey look he's already getting into character.
>>1326787>Hey I... It's unique runes and everything. So, just, you know... It's a thing I kinda want.>They'll be okay.you're starting to go down a slippery slope Mary, I mean yes, we're a crown of thoughts and whispers, and we do help you out with dungeon mastering, but don't let the crown rule over you and corrupt you. you gotta think of some original ideas too!
>>1326828This is the greatest day of his life.
>>1326828oh boy looks like he will actually need pep talk for that
>>1326828Attaboy Reginald! Now, you just gotta make this face at her and all will be well.
>>1326828Didn't we have an entire sidequest based around this sort of thing anyway?
>>1326828if they do anything to harm Lily, Reginald will take action. non-lethal action
>>1326828>The group prepares for the adventurers to enter. Lily lays upon a bed and pretends to sleep.>They enter and the knight informs them that their princess is sleeping and he doesn't know how to wake her!>The Elf Boy nods and approaches Lily Slime.>He leans down and kisses her gently.>Then, Lily grips him tightly. It looks like she's trying to suck out his soul or something.>When she pulls away Reginald makes ominous slime noises.Ah crap.. I think I need to call them back. How the heck did he fail that hard?
>>1326959REGILAND, KILL HIM FOR STEALING THE KISS!
>>1326959Have Lily almost wake up...but pass out....it wasn't enough...
>>1326959you explained the rules badly! he knew sleeping princesses are woken by kissing by he didn't think the knight needed to do the kissing.
>>1326959Okay boss fight time. No merging with the fallen, though.
>>1326959REGINALD. THE ELF-SLUT HAS SULLIED THE PRINCESS! LILY! THAT ELF-SLUT HAS STOLEN YOUR FIRST KISS! MAIM THE ELF-SLUT! THAT ELF-SLUT MUST SUFFER!
>>1326959To be fair, it's the knight's fault for not explaining the quest better. Reggie was suppose to ask for their aid in helping him succeed at his quest of awakening his liege. Otherwise he's just putting a problem in front of adventurers and helping they don't brute-force it, and you know how that goes.
>>1326959Wow.I mean, WOW.I'm sorry Lily, RSK. We'll give you some time off after this for you two. Take a date night off at the spa, have a romantic time together.
>>1326959RSKKILL THAT ELF BOYHE'S RUINED YOUR HONOR
>>1326959backing this >>1326983Slim Princess is unclean, she gotta be purged now.
>>1326987and hoping they don't brute-force it, rather.
>>1326959Mary, a word of advice. What is about to happen is something you can no longer prevent. It's okay. It's just an elf, and they can rebuild him.
>>1326959try to convince her to go back to sleep.maybe she does it in her own interest this time?>>1326974like that.
*benny hill theme plays in the distance*
>>1326959>Kill the Elf boy "MISSION FAIL!"
It's kind of the elf's fault. He just went for the kiss without a word.

I really should have written that better...Okay, I'll just order him to stand down and.>Reginald stabs the Elf Boy through the gut, showering the room in blood. He swings his blade and tosses the body aside.Oh god.>The Eel catches an orb and holds out her hands."We don't want to fight! We're sorry about that! We're friendly, really! >>1327113quick! rant about your feelings for the princess! and how angry you became because of the elf-slut! Reginald! STAY YOUR HAND! THE ELF SLUT IS DEAD!
>>1327113RSK. Be sensible. You can still get that kiss. Lets see if they can figure it out! Besides. We all know you are a better kisser than some scrawny elf boy.
>>1327143angry-flustered ranting is a go!
>>1327113>They run down the hallway and end up back with Cleric Plant."H-hey! We need to bring back our friend!" The Eel asks"A-ah. I'm afraid you can not afford that... Uhm... I may be able to provide you one for free. I just have to ask my boss. Give me a moment...">She looks up at Mary from the camera with a pleading look.Dammit. Healing is supposed to be how we make a good chunk of our funds. Without it we're going to get almost nothing from this run. They're all so poor.Giving out free heals and revives like this...
>>1327193Agh, fuck, that pleading look... FINE, FINE! But they now are in debt to us!
>>1327193...very well...But if they get anything of RSK...its going to go to their pay...not to mention insurance.
>>1327193WAIT, I HAVE AN IDEA.The Royal Slime Knight has done on a rampage! So we send the Captain of the Guard to assist the heroes in their plight!
>>1327193On one hand, you are correct. Giving out services for free is not a good business model. On the other hand, you offered them Easy mode, and shortly thereafter, after failing what seemed to be a non-combat challenge, one of your minions started slaying their party. If they were to give you a negative review, that event alone would warrant it.
>>1327193You put a cap on it Mary, and then you show them the door. What happened to all that gold the metal slime dropped? You can make them pay with that, can't you?

>>1327193This is going to primarily be a rune harvesting run. It may cut into your profits at first, but the longer you can keep them there, the more runes you can farm from them. You lose out in the short term but get some serious upgrade power to attract more wealthy visitors.
>>1327193They have the money from the Metal Slime though?
>>1327193item trades for revives are acceptable. the only question is, is Reginald gonna murder the party members or is his rage focused soley on the currently-dead elf slut.

>>1327231We could even make it like a cutscene, to impress the kids!
>>1327193Mary thry have money so make them pay, and ask why the Boss room was damaged like that!

>>1327245Very well. See you Sunday or Monday. Whenever.Time to do that thing we always do. Describe Puzzles/Monsters/Items that we want.Come on I can't be the only brainstormer, right?

>>1327193They are children, Mary. They aren't going to have much money. I'd honestly put aside the idea of profit, so far as they are concerned. At the same time, you aren't obliged to offer much non-renewable material reward. Instead, move to a token system and a different, smaller pool of items they can afford by beating challenges.Resurrections will cost tokens going forward. So they have a play to win, win to play mechanic of dungeon exploration. If they run out, the adventurer contract sends them back with their lives intact (and maybe their dignity). They may lose their clothes, but they don't have many expensive items to lose in the first place.Oh right, even the kid's necklace is sort of a person. The fact we haven't triggered raid mode on them is a mercy in itself.
I await the fate of the kiss-stolen slime with bated breath.
>>1327245>>1327286I'm in favor of this system on easy mode.
>>1327286That seems fair...though there is a part of me that wishes that we'd get a chance for people to actually buy stuff at the token shop at some point...hasn't netted results yet.
>>1327193Give them a free heal this time. They got hurt because the puzzle was poorly designed. That one's on us.
>>1327340Bull he should have done something besides kiss the comatose lady he never met before goddammit. That's all him.
>>1327286Yeah, this is probably a good idea. These kids are bush league. It'd probably be better to put the difficulty around tutorial mode, here.Which kind of brings us back to the question of where these guys are from. If they don't know of the adventurers guild and the fact that they can be revived, then just what are the rules from where they came from?
>>1327340You know. We have really struggled with Lily puzzles...like...a lot...always seems to go pear shaped.
>>1327371Yeah, that does seem to be the case especially lately. They're best for a big combat team encounter, but otherwise it can be too difficult and uncontrollable. At least Ruth and Dancing Curi should be good for these guys. And they should love the spa.At least these gu
>>1327404They definitely are. Lily just doesn't work for puzzles right now. Though she probably would if we had more clarity, with either Maids and Butlers showing up or a new minion attendant for her to speak up since Reginald isn't up to the task.We will see how this combat goes, but I would expect that we should gently direct the Elf and his friends to Ruth, Curi and the Ice Elementals. Those are definitely more kid friendly...I mean, if they wamt combat they could go Rosalyn/Simon...but maybe only should fight Simon, as a training match, with Rosalyn as their teacher and using only Judgement and nothing else.Meanwhile, been doing some digging for old puzzles, found a few to quote.>a pitch black room full of dark slimes and a light slime, to get to the other side you need to protect the light slime from the dark slimes as she moves along the path.>Large room with a tall ceiling >There are five or six slimes of various types(Mud, Magma, Comfy, Gravity, Poison, and Classic that are on the rafters >In the middle of the room there are various pipes that start as clear glass but become metal and hard to see>These pipes are tangled up in a giant maze, ending in 10 pipes>There are a few buckets strewn about the floor>The slimes jump into the pipes as directed by the heroes>The heroes have to figure out which pipe leads them to which end and catch them in a bucket.>If they fail the slime slinks off to a lift that leads them back to the rafters and it repeats the process>Don't get confused and accidentally blasted by slimes, young adventurer!>Or do, because our Spa could always use extra gold from you getting cleaned up!>Dark Room: Room is dark, lit only by Light slimes, filled with Dark Slime pits. Adventurers have to get through while being attacked by light slimes, but if they kill them, the light goes out.>Platforming Room: Room with lots of Platforms over a huge pit. Adventurers have to avoid Archer and Gravity slimes who inhibit flying.>Rhythm Memory challenge room: Where adventurers have to cross the room by stepping on tiles or pressing buttons that match Musics Slime's beat! The incorrect buttons summon explodeys, or worse!>Have the floor full of switches that have some of them rigged to trigger an explodey underneath.>It plays like actual minesweeper>How about a room with a bunch of upside down pots? There is one with a key slime in it. The rest are all explodey slimes. They do rotations in various patterns trying to confuse the adventurers. Identify the right one three times to have the door opened. Guess wrong and a couple of explodey slimes detonate on you (making the next round easier). Also this>>1326525I would add more but I am reaching limit here...still, some things to think about.
>>1328299Please remember the kids got gold ftom the chest.
Also agreed. Lily is great, but her puzzles just aren't great. It's not even always her attitude, they just seem...badly designed. We're going to need to make her a particular case to mull over. Might as well do so today since no run, maybe?
>>1328335the more that I think about it, the more that I agree.
>>1328339I do game development for a living, I should be able to figure this shit out.
>>1328347well that's funny. I'm studying for Game Art.Unfortunately, bad habits and low self esteem is burning me out to the point where I'm considering on taking a break from pursuing my education.
>>1328331I keep on getting confused by this. I believe the agreement was that they would get tokens for catching our guy. Not gold. Partially because we're not rich enough to work with that yet.>>1328335>>1328339>>1328347Agreed. The biggest failing we have had with any Lily puzzles has been clarity. The tricky thing is, these are really simple puzzles so this should not cause any issues, however I think the easiest solution is telling the players organically through dungeon interaction. As it currently stands, I think we have an easy way of doing this. We have butlers and maids, and they love to talk. You could use them to relay basic information i.e: Lily has been aflicted with a malady, and Reginald has been in hysterics. Now with enough fluff you can infer their relationship so that people can start piecing together that RSK=Loves Lily, and also infer something like Sleeping Princess=Wake up with true love's kiss. This hint system is something we can naturally include in as lore. It rewards attentiveness and interaction with/to the castle staff. And keeps up with the flavour we have set in stone with little trouble. Now the other issue with this puzzle that I think could be addressed. Its a great puzzle, but its too early. Its a puzzle that is better served the deeper into the citadel/higher up the castle you go.Its not really something we can fix until the YUM deal and adventurer money comes in, of course. But we should keep this in mind too. Spacing is important. Especially if, in the future, this puzzle is used in future iterations. Having a puzzle and a combat variant is a smart investment. Also, we may still get our run. I kind of think a portion of the stream watchers are also MAQ/Audit watchers...you never know
>>1328415one thing I don't like about the YUM deal is the blatant watermarking on the character cast picture. If only they could downsize that and shove it into a corner...
>>1328419I understand your concern, but I don't think you need worry about that so much. Given that it is not an updated cast page (No Time slime, no upgraded Maid/Butler, no upgraded Dungeoneer, no upgraded Healer Plant, not to mention no name changes) I don't think you will see this when it matters.AKA, its part of the April Fools Joke. And we have more important aspects we can tackle instead.
>>1328509Wrong audit quest mate.>>1325070
i think the biggest problem this time was people voting to make lily do the kiss puzzle, and then turning around and telling tali to do the exact wrong thing, instead of something tangentially wrong.
As long as it's slow, I might as well mention this now. When I was looking through there threads for the runes for the pastebin, >>1325383I noticed we gained the armor rune in the first thread from Warriors armor, but it doesn't show up as know runes anymore.Larro, is there a reason for that or did you just forget about it?
>>1328705it was dropped in favor of the metal rune.
>>1328415Biggest point of failure is that Lily refuses to follow the script and be a team player
>>1328932that's why Lily needs to get laid. The faster she gets lovey dovey with Reginald, the better off the dungeon will be.
>>1328932That can be good and bad. Just means her challenge needs to be unique. Something that plays to her personality and strengths. Question is, how?
I think the RSK/SP fight is really interesting, since you have to play the social aspect very carefully to avoid merging or them going beserk. If you ignore the social aspect, you can still win, it's just harder.
>>1329040There can be no challenge other than battles if she doesn't follow the scriptYou got to put your foot down on employee bad behavior
>>1328932That one is a little harsh, at least for today. She followed the script perfectly today, which is a little unusual for non puzzle challenges involving her. That and her only real challenge otherwise is remembering the script for her relations with RSK and the world. Which we are working towards.>>1329040I would argue that this challenge is fine. Just needs some tweeking. Its not in as bad of shape as "make Lily pull the lever"
>>1329040>>1329160I think the key element where Lily was very cooperative in the challenges is where Reginald is personally protective of the slime princess. The first miniboss fight against Muscle Wizard had Lily being very co-operative with Mary because it involved Lily piggyback riding Reginald's back and providing support like Lorian and Lothric.
>>1328415They got money from the Yum chest!***>The mimic drops and spews out its reward. 100 Gold.****Remember?SO THEY HAVE MONEY!
>>1325188>Now I'm the ruler of this place until my asshole of a boss decides to send someone to free me from the curseI think it's time to accept that's not going to happen Mary.
>>1327193They have strange magic. Why not have them turn things into other, new, rune-giving things as payment? Then you get all the runes even if they chicken out and leave. I mean, look at that elf, do you really think he's not going to bolt the instant he realizes he's dead?
So I took a walk to mull this over and here's what I've thought up. What we got wrong in the previous fights is that we've put Reginald in the spotlight first and focused on the fight aspect instead of the social aspect with the nobility and such, this led to raid parties ganking RSK to skip to second stage (the part where Lily and RSK merge) or adventurers instantly gunning for Lily in hopes to end the fight altogether. What we should do instead is put Lily as the focus. Lily likes the attention as the firstborn and what she likes more are the moments where Reginald swoops in to save her like a slimeknight in shining slime. Here's what I'm proposing:>Adventurers will enter the room and find Lily on the chair center stage with Reginald standing close by just behind the princess.>This sets up emphasis on the initial challenge having a social aspect with the threat of a fierce fight behind it should adventurers break the social rule of conversing with nobility.>Lily will set up a challenge for adventurers which she will ask to the adventurers. If they succeed, they get a key. >Lily will use her magic to have adventurers dodging slime geysers and ice balls cast at her leisure and with wizard slimes and squire slimes supporting her for five minutes with Reginald entering the fray 3 minutes in.>Adventurers at this stage may attack the wizard slimes, squire slimes, and even kill Reginald without repercussion.>The challenge is a "sheath your sword" social challenge. Adventurers will be presented with the option to break the social code and take a pot-shot at Lily who is casting all of these spells, or they can endure the onslaught and wait for Lily to become exhausted at the five minute mark. >if an adventurer somehow survives the whole five minutes without taking a pot-shot at Lily, Lily will stop and congratulate them for surviving and providing her wonderful entertainment. If the adventurers somehow get a kill on Reginald, she will be very impressed and give them 1 piece of loot from either Lily's or RSK's loot table determined at random. Don't worry about Reginald, Lily will Resurrect Reginald at the end of the challenge.>if they do take a pot-shot at Lily, everything stops and adventurers face RSK's wrath. This starts the Miniboss fight where RSK fights the adventurers and Lily supports Reginald Lorian&Lothric style. This is the stage where adventurers can choose to either kill RSK first and fight Lily Queen, or kill Lily first and face The Royal Right Hand. Upon their death they get the key and loot.
I've been thinking about making a 3 room Yum Run consisting of.Room 1. A fight with a number of 3 Rune monsters equal to half the party size rounded up.Room 2. A fight with a number of Candy Slimes equal to one and a half times the party size rounded up.Room 3. A mini boss. One room would also contain Off Brand the candy mimic. This might be the perfect time for a test run. Also set them on Ruth, she would enjoy a game.
>>1328924Do you know where that's stated?Because the post where we got the armor rune also has us getting metal runes for the first time.
>>1330058From first thread when Mary sorts through the items. I'll quote it for you:>Mary sorts through the items. She sets all of them save for the breastplate aside. She casts her Calculate spell on the breastplate and find that it's worth 1 Metal Rune, 5 Mana, or 60 Gold. It also has a small chance of becoming an armor rune. Mary decides to convert it into gold and turns the rest of the items into runes.>She gains metal runes, sword runes, and even a rare armor rune.Hmm... We didn't get much in terms of treasure but we have quite a few interesting runes now. I think we can have a bit of experimentation...>Mary combines the Fancy, Water, Sword, and Metal runes together. The four swirly together in the demon portal and out pops...!>Another slime.>However, this one is actually quite powerful. Backed by four runes it has become the Royal Slime Knight! A fighter of great skill, if it's armor is broken it can still fight on in it's slime form. However, this enemy counts as a Miniboss and can no be placed in a normal room.>She also tries fusing two water runes but this time making something that isn't a slime. An Ice Elemental appears before her.So we have quite a bit of control over what we make. Two water runes can make a big slime but it can also make other things that do with a lot of water...>>1330058Also what do you think of the revised Mini-boss challenge sequence with Lily and RSK stated >>1329567 ?
No thread today. We'll wrap this up tomorrow guys!
>>1330089Well, yes that's what I was saying.>She gains metal runes, sword runes, and even a rare armor rune.Since the Archivist lets us use any rune we've previously gained, and we gained the armor rune in the first thread, it should be in the list of known runes.I'm asking why it's not known, not why we've never used it.
>>1330438I think we also got a paper Rune at some point and shouldn't she also have access to every Rune our predecessor had? Unless he reset them all because he's stupid.
>>1332054>I think we also got a paper Rune at some point and shouldn't she also have access to every Rune our predecessor had? Unless he reset them all because he's stupid. He used up all his runes on Succubi and the thing in the basement. Then the Succubi ran off.
"Alright, bring the boy back." Mary orders Cleric Plant.>Elf Boy is revived and at the same time the Eel makes quick work of Reginald, but not without some damage to herself.>Or, at least, her hair.>Their efforts are rewarded with a key. They only need two more to get to Curi.>The Eel, who looks like she's in charge now, takes the group to the cafe for a moment of relaxation.>Demonologist walks up to Mary, a bunch of papers in her hand."Mary, Boss, it looks like they intend to go tot he left. If they do they'll get the two keys needed to continue. I was wondering what we should do for Ruth's batting cage, So You Think You Can Slime, and the final battle against the monk slime?"
>>1333726Make them more kid friendly, I guess?
>>1333726Dancing is fine as is. Batting cage should avoid high-grade kill shot. Monk slime should kind of do the Zenyatta thing and throw hovering orbs at them that they can knock back for damage (using bat-like weapons in the room).Feel free to kill them all on the final boss, but have him do so by knocking them into the comfy pits that will be below him.
>>1333726Well for the batting cage, I think we should minimize the damages, at least a little. Instead of the usualy arsenal. More gag balls like string, slime and mud. As for balls that could do damage, look to wood balls and the occasional fire ball. Gravity balls to keep them honest. But that should be it.So You Think You Can Slime should be simple. I think a co-ordinated cheerleading routine that emphasizes all three members would be great.Monk, maybe he should focus on one member at a time, that way the others could use more teamwork to help...the puzzle to activate monk slime should be unchanged.
>>1333726for Ruth's batting cage: use non-lethal balls and balls that only give them status effects. Comfy balls, Time-balls, Air balls, and lob them a golden ball as encouraging bait to play catcher/pitcher with Ruth. Have at least one of them get pre-occupied with Ruth while the others go. For So you think you can Slime, don't try to punish them with the tentacles of rhythmic death. Go for a pop-song from Magical Girl Cleaver.Monk: Have Monk slime aim for pressure points and paralyze them. And instead of fighting to the death, make it a challenge like Hunter x Hunter where they have to steal a rare golden fancy baseball from Monk Slime who is the Grandmaster of Slime-fu. Steal the ball and you get a key. See video reference at 2:20 onwards : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4njT2-J3ix4
>>1333726Mary they have 100 gold why did you revive for free?
>>1333754actually, replace the steal the ball with a key when it comes to the final battle against Slime Monk >>1333726
>>1333765They don't have enough money in their pocket.
>>1333813Man, imagine if Elf boy had to fight that frightening version of Curi.
>>1333815I mean, he could beat her pretty easily. He's just not very good at things.
>>1333829Probably, but considering that Nightmare Curi happened once already...I'm kinda afraid of what she'll do to them if they activate her. They'll be too scared to continue...
>>1333813What does a non-raid Curi fight look like? Have we seen one? Oh right the Moon Elf.
>>1333765They probably had to pay for the adventurer paperwork stuff.
>>1333844nah, that's Nightmare Curi when an adventurer tries to cheat and break the rules.
>>1333815That's Dark Slime! Note the edgy core.
>>1333765You guys said to! They barely got any money anyway.>Mary lowers the difficulty of the next few rooms tremendously.>The batting room has most of the more lethal balls removed.>Ruth, however, does not seem to understand the purpose of less lethality and continues firing the balls with tremendous force.>The Elf Boy erects a magical barrier quickly. The balls slam into the barrier, each sounding off with a terrible thud before dropping to the floor."I'm not sure how long I can keep this up! These are hitting really hard!""Just give me a bit!" Eel says as she charges towards the key at the end of the hallway.>The Elf Boy has to run to keep up with her her. The baseballs never stop but he does his best to keep up the barrier.>Eel reaches the key just as a ball smashes through the barrier and beams the elf boy in the head."Got it!"=======================================>The next room has the team working together to dance their hearts out. This is the one they have the least problems with. Eel and Gremlim seem to be having a blast.>Elf boy is still recovering from the baseball.=======================================>The final room has them avoiding the monk slime. He's already hit and paralyzed Tali, taking him out early. The other two dodge his attacks with Eel blasting him away with electricity.>It takes a moment but the monk slime reforms and continues the attack.>Gremlin holds up a hand, flames erupt from it."I got this, Eel. Go on and get the key!">She throws fireballs and ice at the monk slime, keeping him distracted while Eel gets the final key."We did it!">The monk stops. The group has all three keys. Demonologist approaches Mary."I know," Mary says, "It's time for Curi."What to do..."
>>1333964First revival was free because they were scared, sure. The remainder of the lives system will cost them that dosh we don't actually have to give out.Curi should focus on a steady stream of minons, not performing direct attacks until she's basically down to four-slime levels of reserves. That's a lot of minions, but it's taking it nice and slow. And then it kills them anyway because endurance trial and a not-so-miniboss. Also, subtly focus on knocking out that weak-looking elf boy first, then wasting the eel's electric attack, and the last adventurer will practically kill themselves so there's no worry.
>>1333964I think one of the solutions for this is simple.Don't give them final mode Curi. Ease up on her 'incubation' form, and when they beat that, have her crack to the ground, sweat vengeance, and vanish somewhere. Lets em know they WERE ON EASY, and if they want the real deal, they're going to have to come back and step their game up. You don't get the full experience on easy mode- it's just not done.(Basically in case I got the number of forms wrong, Easy Mode Curi should have one less form than Normal Mode, and she should be REPELLED, not defeated.
>>1333997Well. IF they win, not WHEN.Sorry. Still makes it fair if overwhelming, I think.
>>1333964Give them a slow start, lots of low level minions, as the fight continues, the room fills with water. That water then starts turning comfy.
>>1333964Man that elf boy is getting no luck here...poor little fellah...Alright I guess the big thing to do is much like before we do it in waves.>Curi summons her slime children and they start to dance along the music, the heroes have to duck and weave past the waves of the various slimes or else they will be dragged over to Curi, where they she clones them, and does some damage. If they get close enough to her, they will be able to attack one of her cores.>Second part they stop dancing, and start swarming, doing damage to the heroes. Again the catch is to get close and attack the other core.>Third part, the slimes disappear, and Curi walks about with long stretching attacks, and occasionally casting easy to spot geysers.
>>1333964the plan was to kill them at the end anyway, murder time. send them back with a note "better luck next time"
>>1333997>>1334001This sounds okay.
>>1333964Make this a "FIND THE RIGHT CURI" boss fight. Also send appropriate element-type advantage slimes against the adventurers.
>>1333964Can't Curi make weaker copies of herself like what we have in the So you think you can slime challenge? Can't the adventurers fight one of those?
>>1333964Whenever Eel girl tries to use electricity, form a ice barrier on first hit around a core. make her work for her super-effective electricity by enticing her to wear herself out.
>>1333964Full power destruction! It's the only way to form a lasting bond.
>>1333964guys, they're taking Elf boy to the spa. We have some time to refine our strategy. Elf boy is definitely a magical powerhouse in that party. but he is susceptible to one thing. Lewds. Engulf elf boy and molest him. Then make a copy of elf boy and set the mimic against the party.
>>1334052That only works for magical girls against other magical girls. And sometimes magical boys.
>>1333964Curi can do as she pleases. It's time to get their runes.
>>1333964Mary, give them a chance to earn some gifts to take with them from the spa in some zero stakes games. Stone skipping, guess the pot, or a quiz game. They are going to die, but we can give them some parting presents first (including some promotional flyers encouraging them to come back and bring friends)
>>1334052I like the cut of your jib
Time to get a set of nice and new Runes for us.Let Curi start slow with her minions and then murderalize them
Okay... I think I have a good idea for what I wanna do with her now. This won't be easy on them, but really... They did break into my dungeon. So, yeah.Fair's fair.I-"Excuse me, boss." The Dungeoneer approaches her. "Hey, so I had this really great idea. Totally original. You know how these kids are poor and probably gonna die? Well, I borrowed some mana from the pool and crafted these!">She displays some pens."They're prizes and won't leave their inventory when they die. We can give it to them as a little gift for completing some kinda trial. In the spa.I'll give it to them personally. Whattya think?"
>>1334249What's the catch? There has to be a catch. Make it so there is a catch.
>>1334249That sounds like a good idea. They're good kids and it doesn't cost us anything. Some brainy puzzles for the shrimpy mage demon would probably give her something to do, and not murder the elf again.
>>1334249Uhhhhhhhhh...What do they DO?
>>1334249Scan that pen!
>>1334249You roused my suspicions when you made "In the spa." it's own sentence. What's the trial, Dungeoneer?
>>1334249sure. but put our dungeon trademark on it by adding the Slimecrown flair. like a cute slime for the cap!
>>1334249...a pen? Well, some establishments do give out pens as promotional items, so it's not too crazy.
>>1334249"I want you to personally place those in their inventories, no funny business."
>>1334249are you suggesting turning Olivia and Siren slime into boss mobs? I like this. SING THEM TO SLEEP AND THEN SMOTHER THEM WITH THE COMFY
>>1334249What do they do? And how much mana did they cost to make, exactly?
>>1334249Nothing can go wrong with Dungeoneer's plans. Trust her fully.
>>1334292>>1334249I agree whole heartedly.
>>1334259The catch is that Dungeoneer wants to peek in the bath.
"I want you to personally place those in their inventories, no funny business. Also I need to scan this. How much did it even cost?""It... It didn't cost much. It was like two mana a piece. I... Boss, I know I may have broken our trust earlier but... I really just wanna help this dungeon become great again.I've seen it fall apart. I don't want that happening ever again. So I thought I could help..."
>>1334379"Also those girls are cute and I really wanna see them naked."
>>1334379The first part of trust is asking permission before using company resources. Seriously, Mary, let her know she needs to ask before doing these things. She's only done things that would have been OK'd had she just asked.
>>1334379>>1334383> Summon magic slime. > Cast 'censor' on dungeoneer> "Don't worry. We'll eventually get back to trust. It just takes time."
>>1334383Approved!Go enjoy looking at the cute girls.
>>1334379I believe we've warned her for this exact behavior in the past regarding rune use. This is strike two.Other than that, proceed with the plan to rearrange their important items and put these pens in their place.
>>1334386>>1334379Also, this. We want to make the dungeon great again, too. We want to take care of everyone. But to do that, we have to actually manage our resources carefully.>>1334391To clarify, use the magic slime to censor her vision so she can't see nudity. I recommend the kitten cam.
>>1334402>kitten camEveryone knows that Audit Quest's censor is Metal Slime.
>>1334379I'm sure we will. Just so long as you ask. Like now!Approved!Seriously, like >>1334386 said. We're generally really chill about this stuff. We just want to know what's going on before it happens. We get your last boss was a chode, honestly. Because he was. But we're different. We can see things from multiple angles. Just have faith that we won't say 'no' out of hand. Because that seems to be the fear. And that fear will ruin you.
>>1334379Make dungeon great again! :V
>>1334383>>1334379Alright, go and have some fun, but make it quick
>>1334383Looks like someone could use some workplace sensitivity training. Next she'll be summoning up cameras to put in the spa, and that... could be fairly profitable... I mean, would be horribly inappropriate.>>1334400This wasn't rune use, though. It was mana use. Completely different!
Gonna grab a bite, brb
>>1334386>>1334391>>1334400>>1334402Come on, we don't want to make our employees too afraid to use their own initiative.
>>1334524It takes five seconds to ask us something. Initiative is encouraged, but so is communication. You can have both, and should in a successful enterprise.
>>1334379I am okay with this. Serriously can we stop with the bullying.
I wouldn't call this Strike Two yet, honestly...
>>1334555It's a small thing. I'm happy she did it. Still, this isn't a bad time to point out and ask her to PLEASE communicate.Just a "Hey, Boss, can I take some mana and make something for the kids?" The answer would have been yes. The answer is still yes (sort of. Those kids are too young for her to be creeping on), but it would have been better if she asked first.
>>1334591Kanna is best dragon
>>1334564Personally, my fear is exactly like >>1334524All our interactions with Dungeoneer amount to>"BOSS! BOSS! BOSS! I DID THING!">"FUCK YOU! STOP BEING CREATIVE!">"O-oh..."It just feels like we keep beating down on a family member. And it's really awkward to watch. I just want us to let her succeed. And we keep stifling her.>>1334379In short, I approve.
How much mana did we have, how much do we generate, what's the max, and how much did she use up total?Because if she used 6 out of 300, it's fine, but if we get 1 mana per thread and it maxes out at 20, it's not fine.
>>1334627Mana is actually whatever we want it to be really, as of the most recent tally, we had 21.Mana can be readily attained by using the runes we have, or turning items into mana. We have not done so in a very long while though, as we've been very rune happy and trying to build monsters instead. Now that we have a means to do it, spending 6 mana should be fine for now. We just have to make attempts to replenish later. That's all.
>>1334640If it's 1 mana per rune, that was 6 runes worth. So no, it's not necessarily fine.
>>1334615>>1334524I HAVE AN IDEA.Some people might not like it because it could be viewed off the jump as...there's a term for it, but I forget it at the moment. Anyway, it's not just letting them get away with it- it's given me an idea! And the idea is thus:We set aside a few runes and a little mana EXPLICITLY for 'experimentation' purposes. Kinda like a community bank of sorts. Dungoneer or Demonologist or Archivist or whoever can access this little cache of ruins or whatnot for the explicit purpose of trying random shit out and coming up with ideas we probably wouldn't have ourselves. Yes, it'd require a bit more than what we have NOW, but I feel like we'll be in a place shortly that would permit such a cache to be built. It'd foster creativity, get around the permission issue (since it's blanket so long as it's out of THAT SPECIFIC CACHE), and in desperate times possibly even allow us a nice little 'rainy day/emergency supply' set in case something goes cockeyed.I have further ideas for how to arrange said cache, but I'm just going to throw out the base idea first. So, thoughts?
Hello, nice quest you having there. I just wanted to ask where I can steal the art, because it really good.
>>1334666Like an allowance? Every week we give them some runes to spend on things they might want. And if they want something super expensive then they'll have to save up for it.
>>1334666Sounds good, but I'd say to make it per-employee. That way we don't have to worry about one of them hogging all the allotment and leaving the other two in the same position as before.
>>1334655Runes are 1 for 1, but items can be a differnet depending on the types of items, etc etc.We nuked the old dungeon of its contents and got 36 mana and we've had much higher than that after a few runs. So I mean, we can let this slide. That and rune generation is going to be going at a much faster rate. After all we just got a slime spawning room that generates runes at 1.5x speed.I implore people to please not reprimand Dungeonner like this...it's really not going to help team morale to have an employee so down in the dumps.>>1334666There is a lot of potential in this. I mean, they're kind of unpaid interns, so giving them something akin to a pay isn't a terrible idea. And maybe...JUST MAYBE...it would get some anon's off of Dungeoneer's back.
>>1334679Dude. We aren't crucifying her. We're literally saying. "Hey, good initiative. Ask next time." Any more gutless than that, and we'll need to slum it with some sea cucumbers.
>>1334672>>1334675>>1334679I had been thinking just one big pool, but I'm certainly not adverse to giving them all their own 'allowance'. Just with the single caveat: we reserve the right to pull from their rune pools at any time should we deem the dungeon needs a rune that is not in our general bank but is in theirs.
>>1334679>6 runes for spycam pensNo.
>>1334698I'm pretty sure you can get mana from things other than runes.
>>1334383Yeah I really don't think this is worth getting mad about.
>>1334692I dunno, maybe I've just been bummed out with the reaction to her first move and then this time she does it, and I already see some anon's calling for heads or saying things like 'second strike'That and we've bullied her for things like her outfit ideas, or restricting her from making monsters herself, which is kind of one of her major jobs.Sorry if I sound defensive, but I just think we're caging the songbird, so to speak.>>1334698I don't think she ever said they were spycam pens, for one, just simple novelty items, which is fine in and of itself. Also >>1334701 is correct. We can get more from other items too. Not just runes.
>>1334697I'm more inclined for the pool, at least to try it out. I mean, there are certain things that certain staff members will need more than others anyways. If we really need to go into an allowance, then we can get to that later, and cater it to their specific needs.
>>1334667I draw it all myself. Except for some random stuff I post.
>>1334711Healthy relationships are built on communications and making boundaries clear, even if they aren't particularly sensitive ones. Asking her to check-in before using resources anons may have already been scheming with is sane and practical.
>>1334701That just means you can get runes more efficiently if you don't need any new ones.If a 3 fire rune item is worth 4 mana, it's a 4 rune item.
>>1334717...What? That seems a little...I dunno. Not 'false equivalency', but...Bah, I'm just gonna say I disagree with you for reasons I'm not sure how to articulate logically.
>>1334379>>1334383Okay but what do the pens actually do? She didn't answer that.
>>1334722they're just pens. They also return to their owners.
>>1334716Oh I do understand that part. And I'm not necessarily against setting in some basic ground rules. I just fear that this will have the inverse effect on her morale.I just am paranoid that it's going to come to pass that we either see her break down crying because we keep doing this. OR we're going to end up trying to fire her, with the same results as above.
>>1334729If those spycam pens end up biting us in the ass, I'm voting to fire her immediately.
>>1334735I don't know where you're going with spycams here there has been no mention of spy cams. She may want to visit them in the spa herself, but that's not anything to do with spycams...Also please stop...
>>1334735How would they bite our ass? We're giving them to the kids. And I'm pretty sure Tali would be down with assbiting play.
"Look... The pens are fine. They are a great idea, even. But you just need to ask me these things. So far everything you've done behind my back is something that I very well might have just agreed upon had you just asked me.""I'm sorry boss. I just really like doing things and... Yeah, no. Sorry.""It's fine, it's fine. I'm not that mad. Just -ask- me next time. Before you spend anything from the dungeon.""Will do, boss! Shall I deliver the pens?""Can you just give them to Oilivia? She can hand them to the guys.""Aw. Sure..." She gives a short bow and leaves.Bluh.Everyone else does exactly as I say but not her.How do I work with all these people...>>1334666That... Is not a bad idea. At all.Hmm...I have a moment while they're in the spa.>Mary summons The Archiver."You called?""If I made a pool of runes and mana for everyone to use would you utilize it?""Uhm... Maybe?""Anything you ever wanted to make?""W-well... I had a few ideas that I would like to try out...""And if I gave you the ability to do so? Just gave you a bunch of runes you could use?""I would, yeah.""Hmm... Thank you. Just doing some thinking.""Of course. Oh, Oilivia is hosting a contest for one of the adventurers. She wanted to know if she could bequeath them a piece of treasure if they win."
>>1334741Oilivia's been doing a great job running the spa. Sure, let her.
>>1334741GIVE DAT AELOR THE SLIME SWIMSUIT. HELP HER INCREASE DAT VA-VOOM
>>1334741By all means, that's fine. Like is she talking tokens? Is she talking an item? Because giving away tokens seems fine, and we do have those pens too...They have like, what? 5 already? I'm sure we could give them enough so that they could buy things at the store that they can take back with them or use during the dungeon raid.>"Aw. Sure..." She gives a short bow and leaves. One day Dungeoneer...one day you'll get your moment...I hope...
>>1334741Yeah. It's cheap and good PR.
>>1334741Yes to all of those things. Hell, let's make the pool a decent size too. I'm thinking 20% of whatever we gain goes into the pool.
>>1334748>>13347415% per resident employee sounds fair. That is, intelligent staff each are awarded 5% of total dungeon output as concerns runes. This might extend to Curi and Alex to make for 30% total given to employees for their own, discretionary projects.
>>1334748Maybe not 20%...15% seems pretty fair though. That's a lot of gold/mana/runes to still play with, especially as we get bigger and bigger.I mean, realistically, we're in stockpiling mode. We have several big purchases to make, not to mention several small expansions too.
>>1334741Mary, you are becoming a demon. I mean you have no runes as far as I know but yeah, demon. Maybe you should have a look at your character sheet?
I'd agree with 15%. 20% seems like a little much right now, but later once we're out of stockpiling mode, like >>1334754says.
Rolled 18, 19, 3, 14, 16 = 70 (5d20)testerooni
>>1334758I mean the YUM deal will help out with external asthetics, but I kind of want to beautify our dungeon a bit, not to mention the fact that we have the following to look forward to>Archiver II- Cost of conversion to opposite runes dropped to 1. New runes can be created randomly by destroying two runes. G- 9000. Price drops by 200 for each rune known.(Negligible, we don't have to worry about this one, we're almost there)>Demonologist III- Price to create demons dropped by 1 rune. 5 rune demons will cost 4, 3 will cost 2, etc. Demons can go on Expeditions to retrieve material for the dungeon if they are 3 runes or higher. Higher runed demons bring back greater rewards. G- 4000>Dungeoneer III- Allows for the creation of 7 rune monsters. Can alter the runes in a demon once, only. Allows Final Boss rooms to contain 6 rune monsters. Allows Extra Boss runes to contain 7 rune monsters. G-5000>The Chef II- Can host Parties. Each party greatly increases morale and will add a multiplier of gold to the next dungeon done. Parties can only be held when a dungeon run is not being done. G-1000>The Carpenter II- Allows for the creation of a second dungeon or added floor. G-3000Y'all want your tower, it's going to take some goldAnd then there is things like the royal gardens, the possible town area for the citadel, I want fake barracks, salamander stables, some neat traps, and items to give our heroes. Not to mention we need to actually have reserves to, you know, give heroes if they should, perish the though, win the dungeon.
>>1334769If Jeffrey is on the roster, I say we send him to scavenge materials from Ms. Flaming Crown's base.
>>1334779>Send the monster we can't control out>The monster who is definitely going to fizzle and die if he leaves this place because he has infinity+1 runes to his nameNah manBut you know what the best expedition would be?A fully equipped party of 5-rune versions of Sophie, Mirelle, Rosa and LilyYou have Support/DOTS Mage, Tank/DPS, Ranged, and Burst MageIf you wanted, we could add either Simon or Reginald so that the balance is a bit more even>Simon and Lily go adventuring>Reginald/Rosalyn spend the entire time pacing nervously and fumbling at their job...for reasons...
>>1334794No, anon. You see, the demon realm actually supports monsters of higher rune count better, and that's what we would be sending him through. Albeit, we couldn't control him, but having a nuke we can point at our enemy sounds fun.
>>1334803I thought it was said to be the opposite, the more runes you have, the more unstable you are out of the dungeon...Whereas Bloops would be fine...
>>1334811That's how I understood it as well...
>>1334794>fizzle and dieThat's a very strange way to spell "Explode and kill everyone".
>>1334811Bloops would be fine in human world, where the adventurer's live. However, there is human world and then there is dungeon world. Dungeons are in Dungeon world.
>>1334741>>1334751Gentlemen, I have an idea!
>>1334822why. like I know it's for praise kek and all the memes and what not, but that's just abuse.
>>1334834Someone post a facepalm at this idiot. I'm on my phone right now.
Pausing here for now! Final session tomorrow.
>>1334887Good show Larro, see you tomorrow...Is it bad that I kind of want them to win. If only because I want them to interact with the princesses...they need their time in the sun!
>>1334892So more of our Princesses can be defiled!?
>>1334942Nah, they give no kisses, only items...Though Sophie probably would give a kiss depending on the hero.
>>1334887Sombermann figured out how to get people to like Demonologist. Brilliant!
>>1335526>People not liking DemonologistWho are these people, and why haven't they been culled yet?
>>1334453Is that in MGS? wew.
>>1334942>Lily>DefiledShe loved it. She's now enthralled by the Magnum Dong and thinks only of Tali. Once she tastes the elf syrup she will be ours forever!
Yeesh. Fight isn't going well at all. Also does Curi seem kinda put out, or is it just me?
>>1336978she's at 4 runes since Moon Elf sapped her of one water rune.
>>1336986That was temporary.
"Sure, go ahead.">Mary gives permission then goes back to thinking.I think we can afford a 20% loss in runes if it means employee morale stays up. Not only that but they may be able to come up with stuff we wouldn't be able to. That would be really nice.I can only imagine what kinda things Demonologist would come up with. This is definitely something we can put into work as soon as we have a nice supply of runes. However, we still need to limit how many runes goes to each person, lest there be fighting among them.I could see Dungeoneer hogging all the runes.>Mary's monitor pings. It looks like they're at the final room.Oh boy. This should be fun.=================================>The group enters the final chamber and is greeted by...<Curi, Mother of Slimes>"Greetings and welcome to my chambers, children. Though it saddens me to hear that you reached me so easily... Not by skill but by necessity.Either way... You will not obtain an easy victory from me. I am the last barrier between the castle and the lovely princesses. And, of course... That -thing-.""Thing?">Curi shakes her head."It doesn't matter. You'll never reach it anyway. You will not get past me.""We'll see about that!" The Eel shouts and fires lightning at the slime.>She gathers the purest water and surrounds her core with a solid block of ice. The lightning deals little damage, not even remotely enough to damage it."That won't work on me!" Curi says as she spreads her arms. Copies of herself emerge from the throne. "Go! Destroy them!">The clones flank the group and attack from both sides. One of the clones just sort of... Hovers in the air.>Eel is struck by the other clone, which has since turned into a mass of slime, and is sent sprawling backwards....Why is she not attacking Elf Boy?He's just... Walking away. Does she not see him?>Mary takes off her glasses and squints at the screen. He's not where he was. An Elf Girl is in the bubble.Huh...>She puts her glasses back on. She can see him sneaking away nowIt looks like my Glasses of Anti-Forgery saw through whatever illusion he's been casting.
>>1337003Dammit! Employ Psionic Slimes! have them act as stealth detectors on the double!
>>1337003>>1337003so illusions were his gimmick. no wonder we was being beaten up all the time. he was never given anytime to lay down some fake stuff for himself.
>>1337003give a challenge to the elf boy. employ Psionic slimes or Wizard slimes that use anti-stealth vision to test the elf-boy's stealth while in battle! We can't let a repeat of the first raid dungeon happen again!
Am I the only one who wants to see this play out?
>>1337003Well, let him get at least one cheap shot in before you deploy counters.
>>1337003Well, the noodle is smarter than he looks. Also, the girls totally think he's a girl, judging by the illusion. You could emotionally cripple him with that. Or, just order Curi to send a sweeping tidal wave around the perimeter.
>>1337003Send Psionic slimes his way, but do not alert Curie to his illusion right away.
>>1337032do you want a sour repeat of our dungeon's first raid where the Rogue was bored during the Curi boss fight?
>>1337003An illusion? That's clever. Very clever.Don't just tell Curi about it. It's not one of her boss abilities, so it wouldn't be fair. Although we could have her summon a minion with detection capabilities. Choose one with senses that elves don't have; an illusionist can't fool your senses if they don't know how they work.If the illusion is a girl, then the elf might be hiding his gender from his friends. If you ever meet them face-to-face, make sure to call him a girl so that you don't blow his cover. On another note, apparently your glasses let you see through deceptions without even noticing they're there. That could be inconvenient in several situations.
>>1337032Nah, I agree. It might be interesting to see what happens.
>>1337003That's legit. Don't interfere. If the dungeon master called out all illusions then nobody with illusion magic could run the dungeon.
Like it was said earlier, even if they defeat her, they're not actually going to defeat her. She should be able to run away. They don't get that kind of total Victory without playing on normal mode.
>>1337003Tell Curi to use AoE attacks and danmaku patterns
>>1337003What the hell is up with that elf's mouth? It's like some kind of fish mouth.
...So we have a problem now.
Psion slimes deployed.I know this may not seem fair but... Again, they did just teleport into my dungeon.>Gremlin casts an ice spell on the slime holding... Well, nothing. It doesn't do anything.>Curi, still in control of the ice ball, lifts it up and slams it down on the Eel, flattening her.Wow they are really not doing well."You can not hope to win, tiny creature." Curi says. "I wi-">Curi feels one of her cores jiggle and lift into the air.>She looks at it right before it's crushed into nothing."What!?"Where are those Psion Slimes!?Oh, there we go! Finally!>A bunch of slimes wearing helmets appear and begin removing the Elf Boy's powerful illusion spell.>Curi has recovered by now. She sends a slime clone at the Gremlin, thinking she was the one who cast the spell. No! Wrong person!>The Gremlin throws an orb at the real Elf Boy.>It hits him in the back of the head.>She's taken out by a chunk of slime.>The Elf Boy casts a spell, sending a massive bolt down and hitting the dungeon.>It tears through the building, straight to the bottom.>When the smoke clears Mary can see straight through to the bottom.>Into the basement.Ooooooooh fuck....>There is a rumbling sound.
>>1337542UNLEASH JEFFREY IT'S TIME!
>>1337542This is when we hit the SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN button.Do we have such a button?
>>1337542Oh my god...if we can do anything to seal it to protect the rest of the dungeon, now would be an excellent time to use it...Also poor fucking Curi...reforming again is going to suck...I just hope she's okay...
>>1337542Look on the bright side Mary.I can't think of what the bright side is at this moment, but I'm sure there is one.
>>1337563NOW HOW CAN WE REPAIR THE FLOOR?
>>1337542Send in monsters to cover Carpenter while he makes emergency repairs. Reroute the comfy slime pit into the basement!
>>1337542Welp at least we got the runes if they dumb enough to challenge him
>>1337542START TO PANIC! EVERYONE IS GOING TO DIE, INCLUDING YOU!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
>>1337542Who the hell are you, Terrin? Where's Mary?
>>1337542ALL HANDS ON DECK. CODE RED CODE RED. THE BASEMENT HAS BEEN BREACHED. SEND ALL BOSS MONSTERS TO CONTAIN THE BREACH. MARY CALL YUM. TELL THEM THAT WE HAVE A PROBLEM REGARDING SOME PESKY TEENAGE ADVENTURERS and a broken boss floor. HOPEFULLY THEY'LL BE ABLE TO COVER THE COST.
>>1337542Oh shit. Have Curi try to move the battle to other areas of the floor while we try to figure out how to repair the floor as fast as possible.
>>1337611Curi's been vaporized, anon. Our heaviest hitter's out. That said:>>1337610 This. This is no longer a dungeon run, this is a crisis. All 3 rune or higher monsters need to prepare to block off Jeffry pronto. ALL three rune or higher monsters. This includes you, Oilivia.
can we audit Jeffrey
>>1337629>Curi's been vaporized, anon. Our heaviest hitter's out.Technically, Slime Queen Lily is our heaviest hitter. However, I'm not 100% sure what has happened to Slime Knight, that part confused me a bit and I'm not sure if he's still in play.
Oh, but before we freak out let the thing kill the remaining adventurer first. If we do make it out alive, let's try and get SOMETHING good out of it.
>>1337660He is not...unless he respawned in the time before this happened...
>>1337660I wasn't counting fusion bosses or anything. Curi's one of the strongest 'natural' monsters we have, and certainly the most experienced.
Fucking..."Uhm... Demonologist. What is the proper procedure when the thing in the basement gets out?""....... CODE RED CODE RED!">Everyone in the dungeon is running around screaming."WE'RE DOOMED. IT GOT OUT IT GOT OUT!""NO ONE IS GOING TO SAVE US THIS TIME!""WE'RE GONNA DIE AGAIN!"Well these guys are useless... Shit shit shit...What do I do...Wait, what's the kid doing?1/2
>>1337691...man, that's a great reaction image.
>>1337691Worry about what you should be doing, Mary. And that is grabbing someone and slapping some sense into them.
>>1337710I recommend dungeoneer. Everyone slap dungeoneer until order returns!
>>1337691Well, with everyone panicking, there's only one person left to take a stand. You! Lead from the front, take charge, and show everyone who's boss!
>>1337691Mary, you have to give Elf Boy the Crown. Only with our support can he have enough magical power to beat Lucy.
>>1337803No, Mary and the Elf Boy need to throw their items at Jeffery at the same time. Cross the streams!
>>1337691Also we need to reinforce the entire floor over the basement. We can't have this happening again.
Cant we just seal the boss room? i mean it never really tries to break out at all it just reacts to morons stupid enough to enter its room
>>1337828Today's been a bad day overall for dungeon durability.
>>1337816I don't follow MAQ so I have no idea what his item does, but do you really want to give Jeffery control of the dungeon?
>>1337853The Orb is the Crown is the Orb. Also, potential reality revision with direct contact.
>>1337841Anon. What if it was sealed and he knew it?
>>1337853Oh, it would certainly be horrible. Not acceptable at all. That's why it's all the more important that we do it anyway, but at the encounter's climax.
>>1337691He's just... Walking away?Can the thing notOoooooh.2/3
>>1338009RIP in peace, elfie.
>>1338017Seems Lucy can't see through Illusions.
>>1338009That poor elf is gonna get literally buttblasted...
Aw shit! Is he a spy sent here by the rival stand to fuck our shit up!
>>1338009The thing can't see through his illusions..."Everyone! Get that boy into my office! I don't care how you do it, just do it!">Mary is ready to kidnap the boy if need be but she is lucky.>He bumps right into cleric plant as he flees the thing."Sir! I need you to come with me, quickly!">She grabs his hand and leads him through the dungeon, through secret doors he would never had noticed on his own.>And soon he finds himself in a comfortable room, one for work. Not pleasure.Desperate times call for desperate measures."Hello." She says. "Welcome, Adventurer. ... I normally don't do this but I need your help."I think his illusions might be able to get us to seal that thing back up. We just need to have it lured back into the basement and then I can have the floor rebuilt. It will cost me a small amount of gold...But I think we can all agree it is worth it.Now, what should we tell him to use? What does that thing even like? Meat?
>>1338082It likes other adventurers. Have him illusion one going through the entrance to the basement.
>>1338082Mary, to pull this off you need to give the Elf your crown. It'll totally give him double his normal power and better chance to seal lucy away. Also, see if he'll agree to help in exchange for his choice of loot. He seems like a cowardly elf.
>>1338082A LARGE ARMY OF SWARMING Elf ADVENTURERS that multiply each time the thing attacks the basement. Also imbue those illusions with Comfy runes
>>1338088Yeah, this. It's focused on attacking adventurers, so an illusionary adventurer can be bait.
>>1338082>>1338095>>1338088I have an idea. Remember the Golem girl? Her. CARRYING meat. I have to imagine Jeffery would want another crack at her after she tore his tentacle off.
>>1338082Lucy seems less motivated by like than hate. Ergo, give it an enemy to focus on. It seemed to take hefty notice of the dragon. Just have it 'burst up' through the floor. Use that distraction to bring it down while camoflauging the floor above to give the carpenter safety.
>>1338099That's not true. She keeps trying to give everyone hugs.
>>1338082Well, you could start by telling him your plan. He's got more experience with his illusion magic than you do. He'll be able to come up with something if he has enough information. We don't actually know for sure what that thing might want, anyway. We just know it attacks any adventurers it sees.
>>1338082Guys, Moon Elf says Jeffret had a lot of power runes attatched to him, right? What if we made illusionary staff with illusionary power runes?Maybe he has become addicted to it?
>>1338082Hang on did he leave his adventurer buddies in the same room as Lucy? Wow, that's cold.
>>1338126This elf sure aint a team player that for sure Watch your back mary Elfs are shifty bastards
>>1338175...I can't believe that one stupid voice convinced you.
Something... Alive. That'll get it's attention.Alright."What do you need?" he asks"I need you to create an illusion powerful enough to trick that... Thing. I need you to just take it back down to the basement. That's all. If you do that you uh... You win.""Really? That's it? I can do that.""Can you create something big and alive?""I can make more dragons and stuff.""Okay, I think that'll work. Also, I was told to give you this.">Mary hands over the crown. He[Connection Lost]
It was LITERALLY ONE VOICE. Holy crap.
>>1338092YOU ASSHOLE YOU'VE MADE US LOSE CONNECTION.
>>1338194This is narrative quick time for Larro. It saves him a lot of drawing.
>>1338194*claps* oh jesus why
>>1338200I suppose. I know he was hoping to wrap this up today.
>>1338184What's up, orb NERDS?
>>1338184=============================="Well ma'am, it was a tough battle but it's done.""Yeah. That was crazy. When the Ice Elementals fused into gauntlets and Oilivia had to punch the thing back into the hole? I mean she was killed shortly after but that was a pretty cool moment. Also that point where I got my crown back. That was neat.""Yep. Well, m'work here's done, Ma'am. I'll be sure to reinforce the floor before next time.""Please and thank you."Whew. That was crazy.Well...I guess those guys technically won?So... No new runes. But we should probably reward them with something nice.
>>1338233EPIC TROLLINGWE ARE IMPRESSED
>>1338233Royal jelly? A slime core? Give them something neat they did just literally just punch cthulu back to where it came from. :V
>>1338233What are you talking about Mary? In the past, dead adventurers have been left dead and we got their runes. IE Warrior died on an otherwise successful run and we got her Mithral Runes. So, no, you are totally getting an undine rune, aelor rune, lightning rune, and maybe a magic rune. Rejoice! But yeah, we should give those kids a good reward. Maybe a mini slime, some tokens, and a few items.
>>1338233Elf boy has two girlfriends. Give him a pair of swimsuits.Give the eel a slime whip she can channel electricity through.Give the gremlin a slime pet.
>>1338233Oh, Oh! Give them a Bloops they can take home.
>>1338257I second this.
>>1338233RSJ for all of them. And they get a gift from each princess. Normally adventurers get to visit one. But they worked for it. They deserve to see them.
>>1338265Also...Curi loot table? Or just one special item from each princess.
>>1338233Well they defeated Curi, so maybe a roll each on her loot table instead of just one item?
>>1338233the horn girl seems to want a swimsuit in her size, can you custom one up?
>>1338257>>1338261Mini slime core based on Bloops?
>>1338233Give them info on resurrection magic. They seem unfamiliar with the concept, and the elf seems like a healer so he'd benefit a lot from learning about it.
>>1338307Do it, and mabye this to, mostly because noone wants to see a incident such as when the first of them died happening again.>>1338307
>>1338233Are we certain that new floor can hold Jeffrey? Maybe we should have Dungeoneer stand in the middle for a minute, just to be sure.>But we should probably reward them with something nice.Yeah, they need a reward. Maybe some royal jelly and a slime pet, since they're apparently not from this universe and might not be able to ever come back here to get them the normal way.
>>1338282This, if possible.
You should reward them with murder. I don't even think they know reviews, and if they did, the runes would still be worth it.
>>1338233Reward? But it was only a problem because they broke your dungeon. After you set things to Easy Mode (sorta, anyway). Really, when you think of all the trouble they caused, shouldn't they be rewarding you?
Oh, you're right. Those two were dead when the elf boy did the final strike so...>Mary gets a few items from the group.Hmm. The only new thing there is an Aqua rune. I'm not sure how it's different from Water but... It's new.The rest can be made into some gold or just two more runes for the pool.Anyway>Mary approaches the group."Congratulations on your work. Evne though the dungeon was in easy mode there were some new challenges that the group managed to overcome. And that's great. So... Here's some loot.">She deposites some treasures onto the group. A Slime Core (Bloops Edition), Royal Jelly, and a fitted Slime Swimsuit.>She claps her hands."Congratulations.""Wow. Thanks." The Elf Boy says, "It was actually a really fun dungeon once I saw I wasn't going to die for real. You run it, right?""Yep.""You've done a great job."...My heart didn't skip a beat.Yours did."So we just leave now I gu-">They're all teleported away by an unseen force.... God, that was a pain...1/2
>>1338367Its gonna be okay omae, at least now we have a better chance of how to get rid of it.
>>1338367I know, but it's not really their fault. It sounds like they didn't actually want to go to a dungeon but ended up here by accident. If they knew anything about how these things work, they'd have entered with the regular entrance and wouldn't have been so freaked out when one of them died.
>>1338367FREAKY FISH RUNES!
>>1338367>They're all teleported away by an unseen force. We need to work out how that happened, so we can make it happen to all our problems.
Aww. Oh well. Fishy slime now?
>>1338393I mean, think of the awesome stuff the chef can make with fish now! Also, fish + slimes is a dangerous combination. Kind of surprised it wasn't a pisces rune though.
======================================"Daemon Keeper, report.""Well, Mistress, I'm afraid to say that the experiment was a failure.""What?""The 'otherworldly beings' we teleported into the dungeon didn't really do much of anything. In fact, she's got a net gain from the whole thing. We... Just summoned a bunch of school kids.""Are you fucking serious!? I SPENT MILLIONS ON THAT RITUAL. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO PULL BEINGS FROM ALTERNATE REALITIES!?""Yes, well... I can't change what has happened.""Yeah, well, I hope you liked existing cause you're fired.">The Daemon Keeper poofs out of existence.".... Fuck."===End of Chapter 6.5===
>>1338393>>1338402And don't forget about what the chef can do with all those jams!
>>1338393Maaaybe... though maybe Aqua can also be used to make things like the fountain? We could stand to give more unique features to our castle. All the furnishings can make a world of difference. As opposed to le empty fight room.
>>1338421WHAT A BIIIIIIIIIIIITCH!!!
>>1338421DID SOMEONE SAY POACHING?!
>>1338421Fuck, paranoia anon were right The win the betting pool
>>1338421Jesus...she don't mess around. Please lets not do this to our staff...that just don't fly with me!
Called it! Sorta
>>1338434Pretty sure Daemon Keeper=DemonologistLook at the asthetic design. They are eeriely similar...and you don't want to do that to our lil' demonologist, right?
>>1338421Wow, you need to get raid her dungeon with the slime Princesses, Mary!
>>1338421Millions on a ritual? Sheesh, these dungeon masters and their spending habits. It's a surprise that banks will even lend to them anymore.
>>1338421We are so sending Jeffrey to visit her! Also, we should probably audit the shit out of her finances.
Holy shit I will never do anything like that again. I hope you all had fun!Next chapter will be Audit proper and the start time will be posted on the tweeter. Thanks for reading everyone!
>>1338445Ohhhh. Hm.You might be right.
>>1338459GG, thanks for running
>>1338459Was great fun Larro. But yeah, much as I would love to see the MAQs go through this dungeon. Maybe a solo session next time is better. Especially when we get bigger!
>>1338459Just started reading about these quests and they are amazing :V keep it up omae!
>>1338473Also hopefully we see those two that wanted to be seen more. :3
>>1338459Thanks for running, you crazy person.
>>1338459Thanks for the run! Well at least you can finally rest and not do it again! MAQ x Audit crossover quest can finally be shelved.
>>1338493Still got Hoodie Quest x Shining Star, Blue Sky Quest x Hero Quest Rena and after that the big Larroverse Crossover Quest.
>>1338506too ambitious. Larro did say never again.
>>1338514Yeah, but "Never Again" in Larrospeak means like a month tops.
>>1338459How about teaming up with another QM? I was thinking that I would love to see Audit Quest/ Pally cross over but he runs in a different time zone and has moved to Anonkin. You'ed just need to standardise two different sets of rules and agree about canonicity up front. No biggie right?I kid because I love. Don't cry.
Hey Mary.Silent Protagonist
I just realized that this was the real one. I didn't think that larro would be crazy enough to pull a massive double crossover mega threads. Well played larro, well played.
>>1338459>Holy shit I will never do anything like that again.See you next year!
Hey.I just finished reading the archives last night. This is the third quest I've read and it's real neat.I hope next time I'll be available to participate.I'm excited to play with new runes soon, especially aqua.If we build an extra boss room, we can add another water tune to Curi and put her there. It'd be a good idea to create a two-tune slime of every element(that isn't opposite like fire or oil), so that Curie can have access to all sorts of different copy summons during her fights.I wanna see prince and paladin combine.Captain slime doesn't have any cutie to protect. Maybe the junior princesses? I wonder if water+glass+aqua would make an aquarium slime? Maybe add fancy?I bet gravity slimes, or a very large gravity slime, could let us make a "Mario galaxy" room. We could advertise a special event where 9 adventurers straight-up just play baseball against a lineup of slimes. Paladin could umpire because of the law rune.If we start looking at diversifying into other monster types, what would you guys want to see? I'm thinking skeletons or golems.I want to see a miniboss room with Headbutler and Headmistress.I want to see a room where slimes stick to the curling and drip down in ambush.
>>1339903slimes are just fancy elementals.get them elementals up in there.a minigame with the head butler/mistress would be pretty fun. maby a guessing game. or charades
>>1340210Maybe the adventurers have the opportunity to eat a healing meal, but if they break the etiquette rules three times, then the heads attack? We need to send some lawyer slimes over to our old boss.I want to put fish monsters inside our slimes.I wonder what would happen if the light and dark slimes fused? Equinox slime? I love fusions.
>>1340299>Piranha filled slime.>Electric eel filled slime.>Box jelly filled slime.Yes please
>>1341669Imagine a room full of water/water slimes, but there are Pirranah and Electric eels and cookie cutter sharks leaping from slime to slime to do hit-and-run attacks on the adventurers. They can either focus the slimes first to landlock the fish or focus the fish to take the bite away from the slimes. Also, I've been thinking about what Thief said in his last review, that he wanted something for sneaky types. I was thinking maybe a room with a ninja slime or two(water+sword+darkness?) that had a bunch of barrels in it. Black barrels would contain darkness slimes and white barrels would contain light slimes. The ninja would try to gain an advantage by releasing darkness slimes and killing light slimes, darkening the room. Most adventurers would release and protect light slimes so they could see, but thieves and rouges could compete even in totally dark rooms.
>>1339100Lamb is a copycat who does not even run his quest well.
I've been thinking about what Curi's title will become as we add more water runes to her. Already we can add one and put her in an extra boss room. For example,-Curi, the:Matriarch of slimes(6)Empress of (7)Progenitor(8)Aspect of Slime(9)World-Slime(10)Primordial Sea(11)Goddess of Goo(12)That might seem like a lot of runes but we're already halfway there. Curi's going to need to get strong in order to fight Jeremy anyways.
>>1342525I thought there was a hard cap of 7 runes?
>>1342642I'm guessing as we continue to unlock higher tiers of dungeon constructs, that'll go up. Jeremy was created somehow, after all.And 7 was supposed to be empress of slimecrown.
Have I mentioned how great slimes are?
So I was thinking to myself "what sort of transportation would a slime kingdom have?"Imagine a hollow glass horse that they can just... pour themselves into and out of. It should only take glass+container. It'd let slimes cover large amounts of ground quickly. I feel it'd really flesh out the slime town. In combat, they'd make good kamikaze units that deliver slimes into melee by shattering themselves up against the heroes, but the heroes could also see inside and prepare for what type of slime is inside.
>>1344621We need a comic of Demonologist next to a completely immobile glass horse with Ms. Bloops face pressed up against the inside, with Mary asking "any how exactly did you think this would work?".
>>1344825On second thoughts, that seems more like a Dungeoneer thing.
>>1344825The mimic is just a single container rune. I don't see why it wouldn't move.
>>1345021Add a fire rune so it sets people on fire when they open the chest. Or in Raid more, an explosion Rune. Give a reason for parties to have a Thief/Rogue.
So, do we want to put another water rune on Curi and put her in an extra boss room? If so, who should be the new boss? Oilivia? Also, the armor type should be listed as a rune. Also, I'd like to take advantage of the chef's offer to turn 50-G into rune-able materials. I'd like to try to get a bone, blood, and muscle rune that way. Maybe some others too, like bird, beast, or lizard? On a less mechanical note, I'm really liking our growing cast of adventurers. Honestly I think most of the time I'm rooting for them. Also, I think we should make the healer plant an optional miniboss with a cool drop. Maybe a healing item? Like a flower that you tuck behind your ear and it passively restores hp?I'd like to get to see headbutler and headmistress do more.A sneaky room of some description with light and dark slimed would be cool too.
>>1347477>A sneaky room of some description with light and dark slimed would be cool too.We need that String/Dark/Poison/Silence spider that hides in the walls and only comes out in raid mode to ambush adventurers who wander off on their own.
>>1348075That's not a slime.Actually, that's probably what the hero would think too, and that'd be a pretty cool surprise.Still, it should probably be something that makes sense existing in slimecrown. Maybe an invisible gelatinous cube? Or maybe something electric, so it would make sense that the guard haven't been able to deal with it? Or something glass?
>>1348082Bugs always get into the walls. You are surrounded by thousands of them right now, and you don't even know it. Just say "it never comes out when strong slimes are around, retreats immediately if they show up, and no one's been able to find its nest".
>>1348152Jesus Christ how horrifying. It'd make a good way to resolve the lily/Simon encounters peacefully. I'll give you the key for the head of the spider, which preys upon the weak and isolated.
>>1348152>Just say "it never comes out when strong slimes are around, retreats immediately if they show up, and no one's been able to find its nest".They mostly come at night. Mostly.
>>1348201Simon gives the adventurers a "spider charm" or a bottle of pheremones or something to lure it out?Or if you've got a good enough rogue, you can find its nest on your own and take the treasure it's collected.
>>1347477>A sneaky room of some description with light and dark slimed would be cool too.And come to think of it, that gives me an idea for an interesting 3-rune enemy...We've established that slimes can split, right? Let's use Water/Dark/Sword (or maybe Water/Water/Dark) to create something that specializes in that: a Ninja Slime. Not very strong, but fast, and can keep spawning clones until you find the real one and destroy its core.We could potentially give it disguise abilities too, which opens up a lot of opportunities - Mary could use it as a body double when dealing with people who seem dangerous, as an understudy for Lily when she needs to make speeches or record PVs, or as part of the classic "monster pretends to be a friendly in distress" gambit.
>>1349094Yeah, I gave my ninja idea here >>1342236. I wonder if we can get an illusion rune?
>>1349622Ninja slimes to go with the fan slime? Maybe as her bodyguards hidden in the shadows? How about a Samurai slime that came from the far east to get her back because she is her missing sister?Yes the samurai is a girl slime and she loses pieces of armor the more damage she gets.
>>1350605Actually, I was thinking of having a ninja slime specifically to fight Ronin. But now that I think of it, having a Slime summoned of your class should be, like, a 100 token reward.
