Well, this is probably going to be the last thread for TITANFALL, so let's make this a good, shall we?Twitter: https://twitter.com/MercCommandArchive: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=A+Girl+and+her+TitanOther Quests: http://pastebin.com/N5ByhcUwYou are HOLLY, a Titan Pilot for the Frontier Militia!Currently, you were all buttoned up inside BLL, getting ready for a drop on the temporary IMC refueling base on Lantea. You had heard the fleet battle between IMC and Militia forces in orbit was getting pretty chaotic, but unfortunately, you weren't in a position to see any of it. At least not yet. In the drop pods next to you were your fellow Titan Pilots and allies: Tarin, Ramirez, Hessler, and Hess. In addition, a dozen other Titans piloted by IMC mutineers and a combined force of grunts were preparing to drop down as well to raise as much havoc as possible."YOU BETTER NOT GET US KILLED." BLL grumbles to you. "I FOR ONE WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THE DISTRACTION SQUAD. MORE CHANCE OF SURVIVAL.""Quite being such a pessimist." You laugh. "Everything will be fine!""THAT'S WHAT THEY ALL SAY." BLL retorts."Cut the chatter." Hessler's voice cuts through the comms like butter. "Orbital scans have shown us a bit of a complication.""You mean more interesting!" Hess interjects."What's going on?" You ask."It seems one of the IMC ships is operational and in a holding pattern over the tankers." Hessler says as a map displays on your screen, showing that indeed, an IMC warship was hovering protectively above the dozens of landed ships. "If we can land on the tanker, the escort won't risk firing on us. Maybe.""Maybe?" You pause."MAYBE?" BLL says in unison."Unless you're willing to land on the escort first and handle it." Hessler explains. "Any volunteers?""Oh oh!" Hess seems pretty excited.>Focus on the escort first.>Focus on the tanker.>Split the squad between the two.>Other

BLL groans."Quit being such a big baby." You roll your eyes in exasperation. "I'M JUST FOLLOWING MY SELF PRESERVATION PROTOCOLS.""U-um, Holly!" Naru's voice then comes on. "We've finished attaching those extra rocket boosters onto your Titan!""Nice, thanks!" You grin."O-oh no, it' was n-nothing..." Naru stammers."Please try to accept praise when it's given. It doesn't do to be so overly humble." Amadeus sighs. "S-sorry!" Naru squeaks. "Oh right, before I forget, those rockets are powerful, b-but they're not designed to carry a Titan of your w-weight class!""YOU SAYING I'M FAT?" "Yes! I mean, n-no! I'm sorryIdidntmeantooffend-""JEEZ, SHE'S NOT EVEN ANY FUN TO TEASE." BLL sighs. "I JUST FEEL BAD NOW.""As you should." Amadeus sighs in exasperation. "Dr. Takumi, please finish what you were saying.""Right, you'll only have two uses out of them!" Naru says quickly. "S-so make them count!" "Got it." You nod. "All units standby for Titanfall." Tarin announces over the comms. "All units, lock in and prepare for drop!""This is gonna be a rough one!" Ramirez laughs. "Better hold on!""I CAN ACTIVATE THE VIEWSCREEN IF YOU WANT." >>1303279"Turn it on." You say as you brace for the drop. The screen winks on as the drop pod shudders and shakes. Like before, the pod is expelled violently from ship and plummets to the planet below. In the space above, you could see flashes and glittering twinkles of cannons and lasers being fired off en masse and in rapid succession. Dozens of ships close in on each other, trading fire and taking damage. Many of the ships were burning, yet either still fighting on or drifting lifelessly through the void. You even see a few disabled ships with the misfortune of being caught in Lantea's gravity well, doomed to fall and burn up in the planet's atmosphere. You see a squadron of Militia fighters zip by to protect the drop pods from any possible marauding IMC vessels. Fortunately, it didn't seem they expected reinforcements to come this way, and all of the drop pods go reach the atmosphere unmolested. "WE HAVE VISUAL ON THE DROP ZONE." BLL rumbles. You look at your screen again, and you could see what could easily be a hundred ships of various types lined up in perfect formation, massive fuel lines crisscrossing between them. At the center of the formation, you could see the massive and bulbous tankers feeding all of the connected ships like hungry children. And hovering above the formation was a single IMC cruiser, moving about in a lazy patrol pattern. No evasive maneuvers or anything, so landing on it should be a simple matter."Pick your target!" Hessler calls out. >Land on the engine deck. Let's drop this thing out of the sky.>Land on the bridge and try to hijack it.>Land on the weapon batteries and disable its offensive capability. >Other

>>1303424>Land on the engine deck. Let's drop this thing out of the sky.Speaking hypothetically, if the option to surf a burning cruiser down to the ground while firing madly were to come up, I would be totally behind using one of our rocket boosts to get off it at the last, coolest possible moment. Just saying.
>>1303495>20:21:13>20:21:13DAMN YOU AND YOUR SPLIT SECOND REFLEXES!But the bridge is cool too. Sure, whatever.
>>1303424You adjust your drop pod's landing coordinates to just in front of the IMC ship's bridge. Hopefully you'll be able to hijack this whole damn thing!Your drop pod lands down right in front of the bridge, BLL making a huge dent in the deck as he touches down. At your sides, Hessler and Hess' Titans come down, while everywhere else, more drop pods fall among the landed IMC ships, wreaking havoc everywhere. Not wasting a second, BLL hefts up his Predator autocannon and fires, sweeping the stream of shells across the ship's bridge. The front viewports shatter as the shells punch through and pulp the hapless bridge crew inside. However, the ship's crew wouldn't take this standing down. Already, IMC grunts and Titans were boosting up from the hangar decks to the top deck, ready to engage. Hessler and Hess don't waste a second and move in to meet them. "WELL? WHAT NOW?" BLL sighs as he spins around to engage the IMC first responders. You touch down in the now ruined bridge, still choked with smoke, blood, and ash. BLL's gun certainly did make a huge mess, but at least some of the consoles still looked intact-"HOLLY WATCH OUT, YOU HAVE INCOMING." BLL warns. You spin around and see an IMC Pilot boosting his way towards the bridge, having managed to slip past your allies. Behind him were a number of grunts and spectres trying to move up to support him as well. Shit.>Grab a console and hope you can get it to work.>You're gonna have to fight them.>Other

You take cover behind one of the clearly nonfunctional consoles and aim your rifle, getting ready. Outside, you could hear the thick, powerful sounds of Titan heavy weapons and the metallic crashing of Titan limbs and bodies slamming into one another. From your position, though, you couldn't really see what was going on. "BLL, what's going on out there?" You ask."OH, WE'RE HAVING A HELL OF A TIME. YOU'RE TOTALLY MISSING OUT." A brief shimmer in the air warns you that the enemy Pilot is packing a cloaking device, and you immediately fire off a burst from your rifle in the general direction, bullets sparking off dead consoles and walls. Compromised, the enemy Pilot shuts off his cloaking and responds with a flurry of submachine gun fire, but he had to aim in haste, while you were already in a prepared position. You drill a three round burst directly into his chestplate, knocking the Pilot back and out of the window. However, before you could confirm the kill, you're interrupted by more gunfire as a squad of IMC grunts begin clambering in through the shattered bridge windows, firing wildly as they enter. >They're just grunts. They're not expecting an attack from above, and you aim down and unloading your rifle on their heads, taking out four grunts in less than that many seconds. You then release your grapple just as the remaining grunts turn to engage, dropping below their aim.You reload as you fall, and the moment you hit the ground, you snap your rifle back to your shoulder and fire off more bursts, taking out the IMC grunts with precision accuracy. A spectre then tries to climb in, but a hearty kick sends it falling off to the outer hull below, shattering like glass."DAMN." Is all BLL can utter. All right, that should give you some more time to get this damn bridge working. You pull out a hack knife and jam it into one of the still working consoles. With a few twists of your knife, you begin to change the ship's orientation and heading so it would be pointing right at the tankers. "Hey, everybody, I suggest you get the hell off this ship!" You call out on the comms. "Because it's going to be going for a little ride!""Wait, what are you doing?" Hessler asks with growing suspicion. "UNFORTUNATELY, I THINK I HAVE A GOOD IDEA." BLL groans. "DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE GOING TO-""I'm going to crash the ship into the tanker." You finish. "FUCK.""You crazy-" Hessler pauses. "-nevermind. All units abandon ship! Get clear!"Outside, you can see the remaining friendly Titans leaping off the side, while the grunts that manged to land dash for waiting dropships."COME ON, HOLLY, LETS GET OUT OF HERE!" BLL whines. "Just a sec!" You protest as you lock in the heading. You then pull the hack knife out and smash the console with the butt of your rifle so that nobody could change it. However, you're rudely interrupted when a burst of gunfire shoots just above your head. You yelp and duck down, your peripheral vision just catching another pair of IMC Pilots leaping into the bridge."INCOMING, HOLLY." BLL unhelpfully warns as he stomps up to the bridge to link up with you. "Yeah, I noticed!" You yell back as more gunfire pins you down. You groan as you try to administer first aid to your bleeding wound. "Fuck it hurts!""AT LEAST YOU'RE STILL ALIVE." BLL grunts as he leaps off the the ship. The rocket boosters you had added on had become an invaluable investment as BLL uses them to arrest his fall, landing in the icy forest on the outskirts of the IMC outpost. "Didn't know you had it in you!""Um, thanks?" You squeak."Anyways, I'm getting word from Sarah that the IMC fleet is pulling out." Ramirez muses."Once the war is over, I suppose." Tarin shrugs. "But I'm pretty sure this won't be the last we see of the IMC.""Sometimes I really wonder if we joined the right side."
