Your former second in command gives final shriek of despair before collapsing to the floor dead. While this victory tastes sweet it also reminds you of the fact that your seat of power WILL be contested. This bothers you not as your new found power shall grant you victory in these coming battles. You look upon your slain foe and ponder on what to do with him...>reanimate the corpse of finch>feed him to the other orcs>eat him yourself>write in
>>1290010>reanimate the corpse of finchIf nothing else it is good training and shows those maggots what happens if they fight the boss.
Seeing this as an opportunity test out your new found power you hold you hand out to have wisps of darkness seep out into the air. The wisps move ponderously before launching themselves in the goblins corpse. His shriek of fear arises again before ceasing. Finch gets back up and pukes. He looks at you with sunken green eyes. He opens his mouth to speak."How may I server you master?"This is so surreal. You tell him to keep watch. He stumbles out of the hut and then trips over something outside. What has magic done. Before you can go back to sit in your throne the scouts you sent off have returned. They report that Isengard is surrounded by a thick wall of trees. And when they came too close the trees started and they quote "screaming like a bitch". Another thing they noticed was the abundance of creatures there. Including Wargs. This bodes well for you. >tell the scouts to try and enter isengard>send orcs to capture wargs>send word to the goblin tribes>build something>write in
>>1290065>send orcs to capture wargsFinally something to counter the horse lords.Lets get to work of clearing the isengard..we don't trust screaming trees.>send word to the goblin tribes>request that they sent forces to help at isengard (200-500 skirmishers armed with bows and some warriors)
>>1290065>send orcs to capture wargs>>1290080we would already have that if we just used pikes!
>>1290065>Send orcs to capture wargs>Send word to the goblin tribes state we need some troops and ask if they know about any trolls or lairs of dark things. How much metal do the goblin tribes got access to, how much do they know of the lands around them, and how good are their breeding pits?If we get can some proper mining operations up we could equip our forces properly when combined with some lumber harvesting. Only problem at that point is gonna be the food, forts, and more troops.>>1290091Proper spearmen and pikemen would make the horse lords our bitch.Problem is that takes a fuck ton of discipline which is gonna be a pain to beat into our forces. Would be worth it though given how much we are going to clash against the horse lords for now. Otherwise our best bet is sticking to places where horses don't do well. Like mountains and forest. At the very least we wanna start off building our forts in those kind of locations while we are dealing with rohan scum.
>>1290101How about undead spearmen discipline shouldn't be a problem then
>>1290065>>send orcs to capture wargs>>send word to the goblin tribesHave them bring a bunch of torches and fire arrows if they have any.
>>1290138fire arrows are incredibly useless in real combat though and while I get the appeal of burning and pillaging, just pillaging might be more effective in the long run.
>>1290280I am guessing its because wargs hate fire
>>1290280I guess it is to fight the ents
>>1290280shit covered arrows on the other hand are a tried and true method of strengthening archers and very effective against enemy troops.
>>1290280It's for the trees mang.
Sorry for the slow updates I'm still sick and puking everywhere
>>1291398That blows dude, don't stress yoself.
I'd rather wait for you to get better than have you keel over and leave the story unfinished.
>>1291398Hope you get better m8. Just read up on the last thread and I'm kinda disappointed the Red Hand with smaller White hands didn't win. Oh well. Isengard shall rise again!
>>1290065>send orcs to capture wargsSome mounted troops would be especially good right now, double so considering how viscious and awesome wargs are.>>1291398Hope you feel better soon, don't push yourself to write if you aren't feeling well.
Alright I'm gunna start writing tomorrow. Prepare for a large mountain of text to make up for the lost time
>>1298378Are you excited for shadow of war?
>>1299305Fuck yeah I am. Just got back from D&D. Long ass post writing begins now. Ask me any questions if you have any
>>1299715In your opinion, how do the breeding pits work?
Reading the first thread SHOULD tip you off, but I think they work like big pools of mud that Orcs come out of. I've simplified them here
>>1300098wewThat is a big fat wall of text alright
Oi I'm not done writing it you daff cunt
>>1300418Jesus man, are you putting together a novella here?
>>1300954Yea no shit, 6 hours! 6! What could possibly be going on here
Well when I write I take breaks...often it helps so I don't just get burnt out writing one thing
The Wolves of Isengard shall be brought to heel. You send out some Orcs to try and capture the feral beasts. Perhaps now you finally have a way to counter Rohan's calvery. You also decide it's time for the Goblin tribes to pay their dues. You tell a Goblin scout to deliver the message and he quickly sets off on his journey. Judging the distance it should take six or so days at most. You just hope they don't die to wraith or encounter more...screaming trees. With nothing to do you start walking into a random direction. You start thinking about future possibilities such as war and...death. You really need to broaden your horizons. You see the grass at your feet start to discolored and then become dead. Looking up you find yourself in the middle of a clearing in the Deadwood. How long have you been walking? Turning around you see a large black monolith shrouded in a sickly blue energy. You stand there for a moment before ghostly figures begin to surround the clearing. They chant something unknown to your ears"Woe na- i hén -o Morgoth. I wrath -o kings -o iar shall smite ho dad."It sounds elegant...you think. Then a figure emerges from the monolith. A Wraith with Elven features and a crown seemingly woven from nature itself rests atop his head. What a faggot. It opens its mouth to speak."Woe you who have awoken the dead from their slumber. The grounds of death have been desecrated by it of Morgoth. Woe is he."Why does this cunt keep saying woe is you? Why is he coming out of a monolith? WHY IS HE BLUE! Questions to be answered by the blade of your cleaver. It pulls out a flaming blue sword. Fuck. "Woe is the servant of Morgoth that have walked upon the deadwood of the elves. Now woe is he as death comes."These fuckers never stop talking do they. You swing at the Wraith hoping to strike him, but only look on in horror as your cleaver goes strait through him. He then brings his sword down. You manage to block it in time, but your cleaver shatters on impact. "Woe."If cleaver don't work against this guy...maybe magic will. You gather power around your hand and shoot a ball of green flame at the Wraith! Only for it to go right through it and hit the monolith behind it. You do see however that the monolith seemed to suck your energy into it...huh.>fist fight the wraith! (d20+3)>keep shooting magic (d20)>RUN>write inSorry this took so long. I was finding it hard to find motivation to write. Also I was still sick and insanely busy.
Rolled 8 + 3 (1d20 + 3)>>1304405>PUNCH THE WRAITH BACK INTO SUBMISSIONWOE TO THE BITCH YOU STEP UP TA KURZZ
Rolled 20 + 3 (1d20 + 3)>>1304405>fist fight the wraith!
>>1304456Oh wow.Wraith got knocked the fuck out
>>1304456>wendi's face right now
>>1304459I think we broke Wendi guys.
Woe is this guy because he just got a ticket to SUPLEX CITY!You run up to the Wraith and don't grab it. Instead you hands fall right through and you topple to the ground. The Wraith raises its sword and brings it down without expression. You catch it with your arm. It doesn't go all the way through, but it goes through bone. You reel back in shock clutching your arm. On the bright side you're now by the monolith. You hear whispers enter your mind."Hail the Kings of old.">keep fist fighting (d20+3)>shoot it with magic (d20)>write in
Rolled 14 (1d20)>>1304465You know what it was stupid to assume we could hit a ghost in the first place.>shoot the pillar with Magic
>>1304465>We broke Wendi so much he doesn't think the nat 20 exists.
>>1304467The monolith, I mean, I assumed pillar was a good synonym>>1304468Nah he's completly within reason on this one. We're a corporeal being trying to fight a fucking Wraith. As in a ghost but with swords. Really I'm surprised it didn't go any worse.
Rolled 9 (1d20)>>1304465>>shoot it with magic (d20)MAGIC MISSILE
Rolled 5 (1d20)>>1304465>shoot it with magic (d20)
Rolled 10 (1d20)>>1304465MAGIC BITCH
Rolled 14 (1d20)>>1304465>shoot the pillar with Magic
Using what brain cells you have, you shoot a ball of fire into the monolith yet again. Just like last time it is absorbed into the black stone. It whispers something different this time."They who sunder the graves of old, doomed to die."The Wraith brings its sword down again, rolling out of the way it barley misses you. Blood spurts from your arm. This isn't looking good. "Woe the child of Morgoth that has yet to die, woe is he for stepping foot in the deadwood."You hatch a plan...>go for the monolith (d20)>go for the wraith (d20)>run away>write in
Rolled 1 (1d20)>>1307276>Go for the wraithIt says to "sunder" the graves of old, so probably hitting the monolith is a bad idea. Let's use magic on the wraith. Perhaps, we need to cast necromancy or some shit.
>>1307320*sighI'm so sorry.Wendigo has been waiting for this moment, his whole life he has.
Well...if you guys choose another option as a majority it will rule this one out, or you could roll a nat 20 to cancel this nat 1...or else this quest may be over.
Rolled 6 (1d20)>>1307326Hahahaahahahaa wow okay yea anything but that? How about fuck this wraith and fuck its marker, lets run baby!
>>1307413>>1307320I'll give you guys 20 more minutes to vote before the presumed bloodbath beginsAlso lurkers, this may be your time to shine
Five more minutes my friends.
Rolled 2 (1d20)>>1307276The only option that nulls the 1 and doesn't kill us>run away
Time has begun to move...writing...
Rolled 1 (1d20)>>1307575>And doesn't kill usYou sure about that bud?
I've made a terrible mistake
>>1307577Yea we were doomed from the very start.
If you can get one lucky strike on the Wraith maybe you could weaken it enough to get away. You pull the rest of your power into a final shot. Sweat drips down your brow and you spring into action. You rush the Wraith with the speed of a demon on crack. You deliver one final blow to the Wraith. It connects and you feel the cold ice of its ethereal flesh. You have no time to react however as a blade is shoved into your gut. You grab the burning blade and pull yourself closer and let loose the magical power you've stored. It does nothing. It pulls the blade out of your gut. You look upon the world one last time before you close your eyes and are pulled into the shadow. So ends Kurr'z, the Mad Uruk, and Lord of Wraiths. Thank you all for playing! I had a ton of fun making this Quest. Goodbye until next time.tuesday.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. Also fuck 4chan it screwed up my format for my end post REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe
>>1307597Thanks for spending 2 days writing a post to railroad us into major encounter
>>1307597Guys no, I was only gone for a day!
