Welcome back to Adventure Civ!

This is the grand finale thread! As the island has been divined to sink in the sea by Billy the Magus, the tribes thrive for survival!

The sun tribe made their homes floating houses, ready to set off should the flood come! They have sent one of their apprentice to the Sea Witch, too, for help against their nemesis fishmen in the meantime!

The Bowtie-wearing Tribe built themselves a strong wall and brick houses... But what is it worth, if the whole island goes down? They have started experiments with boats of fabric, with no successes yet! Will they find a way on their own, or will they have to seek solace in their trade with the Sun Tribe?

The Orange Tribe is on the path of engineering, and discovered the wheel. They also wield copper, gold and iron, But have yet to find a way to sail the seas!

The Tree Tribe has peaceful exchanges with the Orange Tribe, giving them women for copper and medicine. They revere the Tree Spirits and obey their laws. Though the tribesmen are worried of the magus' warning, the Tree Spirit has told them not to fear.

You can join any tribe, with a soft limit of 4 players per tribe. Please consider joining Bowtie and Tree tribes first if you are a new player, as there is more room in these tribes!

I will post the latest tribe sheets before we start taking actions!

The seemingly immortal chieftess decided an alliance with the weird sun dudes was necessary for survival. They gave them fabric for their knowledge of boat weaving and ropes, and together they came up with sailboats! The bowtie's boats are still very clunky and somewhat unstable, and nobody really know how to use them, but they work!

using stone axes, scouts started cutting the apple trees, piling logs in the village for future use, though they don't really know what yet.

The Sun Tribe rejoiced when their sailhouses were complete, and started a race festival in the first light everyone had his or her house ready. Everyone learns from these races, and they eventually all got good enough to travel in calm weather without capsizing!

the apprentice of the sea witch came back! he said the sea witch told him the cause of the island's sinking is inside the volcano, guarded by a fearsome creature! He wants to go there with all men and allies the tribe can muster to save the island!

The Tree Tribe decided to grow trees with a hollow trunk, like natural cano√ęs. But they have no way to cut the large trunks!

The trees take time to grow, though, so they aren't ready yet anyway. But they should be next turn.

The orange tribe remembered the shoddy rafts they made to land on the island, and salvaged those they could with driftwood. They will capsize the moment a slightly large wave hits them, but it's better than nothing.

Examining the magus' paper, they understood that wheels could be used for propulsion. They also found out how to meld pieces of metal together, to make a working paddlewheel! it's manhandled and doesnt go very fast nor can it change directions, but one man can do the job of four paddlers with this technique.

Action: Host enormous rituals for the carving of the boats once the tree has grown to sufficient size.

Action: Begin carving elaborate depictions of wildlife and plants into all future woodwork. It'll become a ceremonial celebration and worship of the trees. Hopefully it might get a bit magical too, wink wink.

turn 18 end!

The Sun Tribe went scouting the volcano for danger with the witch's apprentice. They encountered winged whelps by the hundred!

They managed to possess some of them before heading back to the village.

An emissary was then sent around the island to look for tribes and call for help.
all tribes should give their answer by the end of turn 19: should they help the Sun tribe?

The grown boats' preparations are complete, and after a long engraving ritual, the boats were cut! They are wide and flat, making them pretty stable. They are moved by paddles.

Shortly after the weird little emissary came to the village, the tree spirits told the tribesmen they will go to the volcano to protect the sacred Island Guardian from the barbarians, and if they are true friends of the spirits, they should do the same!

The Orange Tribe learned much from the engineering papers again; By cutting wood with sharp iron tools, and keeping them in place together with small spikes, they can build sturdy structures, such as box boats! They are flat and wide and controlled by two independent paddlewheels!

The guard started spending more time at sea, so much they started claiming the boats themselves as theirs. People are still allowed in the boats, but only the guards may control the sail!

They also put two logs on each side of the boats for increased stability, and even though appletree wood is a bit too dense the boats capsize less than they used to.

Honestly I can't see this in a way that the tribe would go against the spirits of the forest. I'm afraid we're not helping.

For the suntribe I'd say prepare every able soldier for fight, the battle shamans and their crabs/dragons,
sunshamans that can summon a wraith, and fire shamans that can use their fireballs/ do something about the lava perhaps. the witch' apprentice obviously tags along and helps out with the quest.

as a culture we should try to ensure the safety of all other people, the strategos etc and get the boats ready with food and other good resources. we should keep a couple shamans behind to ensure their safety.

this would atleast save a bit of our tribe if our quest to the volcano fails.

The blue tribe sent all the civilians, escorted by some shamans and the strategos, out into the sea. The warriors plan on joining them once the beast is defeated, using their own houseboats.

Counting the Wrestlers, the Battle shamans, and the Sun shamans, they have 15 warriors and 5 war beasts.

the Tree Tribe followed the spirits of the forest - which really liked the gesture, and told them they call themselves "elves"- to the volcano. The dragons don't mind the elves and their friends.

The tribe elders tried improving their magic but failed to do so. However, powerful bark armors were grown on all warriors, which are now much more heavier and resilient.

counting all grown men and spirit archers, the tribe counts 20 warriors and 10 master archer allies.

The men and women willing to fight donned metal plates and sharpened their weapons for the upcoming fight. The rest decided to stay by the boats, promising they'd come help the warriors should the island start sinking.

The Chieftess was all about keeping her position and possessions on the island, and isn't one to turn down a good fight. All guards showed up to the sun village, armed and eager to fight.

The guard is the upper tier of the society. They are 10 experienced fighters, and 2 priest fire mages.
