They have split the Orion Belt Sector between the four of them, and race to claim their new territory and establish themselves as Empires.

You rise, the hem of your commandant robe trailing against the chair you previously occupied. The Devastator Guard stands to the side of the door. You stroll past him, leaving your personal quarters.Lining a grand corridor are more Devastator Guards, adorned in the colors of your new regime. The Final Regime. The Empire of the Ceph. They watch as you walk past, falling into line behind you. At the end of the corridor are metallic double doors three times the size of a male Cephalopod. They open before you, revealing a three-level command center full of Ceph Sub-Commanders and technicians. “Rise for the Supreme Admiral!” One of your Devastator Guard yells. Every Ceph in the Command center turns on their heel and throws an arm across their chest. “Hail to the Unified Charybdis!” They yell in unison. You send them to back to their duties with a wave of your hand. You slowly ascend a staircase to a silver platform in the air in the middle of the command center. Screens hover around the platform. Three Sub-commanders are waiting for you and your entourage of Devastator Guard. You step onto the platform where a chair is rising from the floor. It stops, and you take your seat. Before you are screens. Screens full of systems and planets. Two cycles ago you and three other factions divided the Orion Belt sector up into equal parts. You are the inheritors of empires. You are distracted from gazing at the screens by Vice-Admiral Jakall as he steps forward. He holds a data-screen in his hand, and taps at it. “My Supreme Admiral, if I may begin first,” You nod your head, giving him permission.

We need to begin the expansion and absorption of the new systems we claimed. Settlers, merchants and explorers are already migrating in droves two and from our capital of Char Doma. Where do we want to focus first? To our Sector North is the Vara System with 4 planets, two dominant species and plenty of established industry. To our Sector East is the Lilos System with 10 planets, a myriad of species and a private sector barely recovered from the war 40 years ago. It can be rebuilt to it’s former glory, but not without investing ®. Our claiming of several hundred systems has brought a tide of foreign dignitaries, officials, and merchant-kings to our capital. With them are huge entourages of alien species. There are also now refugees and asylum seekers coming to the Siivana system, assuming it to be the safest and most stable place in the quadrant. There is already conflict between Ceph citizens and the newcomers. The Council of Culture is split, with half thinking we need to close off and secure our system and the other half thinking we would greatly benefit from hosting new arrivals. You, the newly choosen Aun’O, watch rings of seating filled with Aun. The leaders of the Tau Empire talk amongst themselves, motioning at various monitors hanging in the air. The monitors show Tau space and the Empire’s newly claimed systems. You take it all in: The Council chamber, the Aun, the screens. From here forward you and your fellow caste members will be making history, forever establishing the Greater Good in the Orion Sector, and one day, the Galaxy. You clear your throat and make eye contact with the Ethereal Guard standing next to you. He slams his staff, calling the Aun to attention. Your attendant standing on your other side begins to speak. “The Aun’O will now hear the pressing matters of the Tau Empire,”Aun De’shiva stands, and all eyes fall on him.

Or should we deny the proposal, and focus our resources elsewhere?A) Your AnswerB) More InformationC) Delegate this to the Aun>2. Members of the Water Caste are diligently working to spread the Greater Good throughout our newly claimed quadrant. Droves are converting to our way of life, but there is always resistance. It is high time we established a penalty for anyone who rejects the Tau’va. Some within the Ethereal Caste call for immediate execution to send a strong message to our future subjects. Others, imprisonment, or reeducation camps. The most radical among us say a simple tax penalty will suffice. Reeducation camps will cost 2 ®. The tax penalty may give us money and win the favor of our subjects, but it is a widely unpopular among the Aun and our subjects may think us soft. Execution has it’s own pros and cons. Never the less, he is wise. You tilt your head towards him to indicate he should begin. >3. Now that we have claimed for ourselves a quadrant of the Orion Belt Sector, we must begin establishing our presence in the neighboring systems. Where shall we focus our efforts first? To our Sector North lies the Ragala System, with three planets and a thick asteroid belt ripe for mining. The system is home to three species and has a strong mining industry. The mining corporations are eager to begin negotiations with us. To our Sector East lies the Azure System, with nine planets and hundreds of different groups and species. It is the home of the Patalla Faith, and almost the entire system is a practitioner. It has a vibrant economy. Their reception of us will be based on how we address the Patalla faith within the Tau’va. To our Sector South is the Mit’Chan system, with four planets and one species. The system is wealthy and controlled by House Liktor, who is openly hostile to us. To our Sector West is the Mauve System, with one planet. It is the largest gas giant in the sector, with seventeen moons each hosting a different tribe of one species. There is constant civil war between the moons, but also a potentially strong industry if we invest ®.A) Your AnswerB) More InformationC) Delegate this to the Aun>4. The Earth caste has requested we grant them access to the twin suns of our system, Dia 1 and Dia 2. They believe there are anomalies present, that if studied, would greatly benefit our empire. Next up is the Minmatar Republic, which I probably won't get to till tonight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvmsRRuwDoI&list=PL21zCSyqLCMMNBZNbAZz2LE-4ug57hEfS&index=1“Where is she?” Elder Kartis says. “Why is she not here yet?”You don’t reply. You have no idea why Empress Volara is late. You gaze out from the senate stage you occupy, taking in the mighty columns and raised seats of the Minmatar Senate chambers. Why you and every Clan leader in the Senate has to remain standing until the arrival of the Empress is beyond you. Pomp and circumstance be damned, you’d rather begin. There are monumental matters to discuss. “Announcing, Empress Volara, first of her name, holy daughter of the unified tribes and clans, guiding light of the Minmatar Republic. May she reign!”“May she reign!” You proclaim back with the clan elders. Empress Volara breezes into the senate chambers, flanked by royal guards and followed by her hand-maidens. Two hundred tribal elders watch as she walks purposefully towards the senate stage and the throne you’re sitting next to. She climbs the steps, making eye contact with you. You nod. Reaching the throne, Empress Volara turns and stars out at the clan elders. “The Minmatar republic is before me,” She says, beginning her part. “may you be it’s strength,”“And you our light,” The elders reply, then promptly take their seats along with the Empress. The ceremony over, you ask Elder Kartis to start the proceedings.“Tribal and Clan elders,” Elder Kartis says from his seat. His voice is amplified by the metal ball floating before him. “As you’re aware, two cycles ago the Minmatar Republic signed the largest treaty in the history of our people. We are now inheritors of one fourth of one the largest sectors in the galaxy.” You try not to smile as Elder Kartis slips into his grouchy-old man voice. “Well, it was all glorious two cycles ago, but today we have to deal with the ugly side of it, because we’ve got a lot deliberating to do about our new territories. But first, as is protocol, we will hear of grievances from the Elders,” Elder Kartis rolls his eyes as speaks the last part, and you quietly remind him to behave. A clan elder, sitting in the middle ring, stands.“The Senate recognizes Elder,” Kartis pauses, looking down at his datapad. “Elder Torigold of Clan Le’meer,”
>>1237509>1. The recent treaty has ignited the industries of a wartime economy. Tribes and clans specializing in construction, research and transportation are making billions off contracts granted to them by the Republic offices. But observe! Who are the tribes? Why, none other than Clans Pallav, Clan Mesher, and Clan Seriri’Cont! Those three and no other! Not Clan Viker, or Clan Quels, or any of the others! This is blatant favoritism! What’s more, this has the stench of corruption! The senate floor erupts in a flurry of raised voices. You and Empress Volara share a look. She raises an eyebrow, and you know she expects you to sort this out. Ah, the life of a Chancellor. You regain order with a voice-amplifier and ask Elder Torigold to clarify his request. >1. Con’t. I Elder Torigold, as well as six other tribes as signed on this document, do hereby request a corruption probe be opened into the contracts that have been awarded in the last six months! The senate again erupts into raised voices and shouts. You again regain order. A) Your AnswerB) More informationC) Delegate this to an Elder committeeAfter a few more bouts and shouting matches, Elder Torigold sits and Elder Makarta rises. >2. We’ve all seen it, we’re all thinking it. The reports coming in are saying that migration is up three hundred percent. Not just that, but there’s entire colonies of species that think we’re some sort of safe haven. Now I know we all like to think of ourselves as a grand welcoming Republic, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty of it it’s not so easy. All I want to know is, will Minmatar citizens, original citizens, be treated with the respect they deserve in regards to the government and services. I would hate to see a child of my own tribe be denied something because it was made available to a newcomer alien first!”Shouts of agreement course through the senate floor, as well as protests. Empress Volara raises her hand, silencing them. “My dear Clan Elders,” She says, her voice carrying around the hall. “I must say it is the opinion of the crown that all are welcome who wish to bring glory to our Republic,”>2. Continued. Yes of course your majesty, I just want to make sure that Minmatar citizens are first in the Minmatar republic! I propose that they not be granted citizenship, but instead a temporary visa of sorts. They’ll have rights, but not rights like us. And when the waiting period is over, they can apply for proper citizenship. What say you Chancellor? A) Your AnswerB) More informationC) Delegate this to an Elder committee

>>1237517Elder Kartis leans towards the voice amplifier. “That concludes clan matters, next is matters of expansion.” Grand Marshal Kras Drak stands as the lights in the chamber dim. A 3D display of the Minmatar systems hovers above the heads of the elders. The Grand Marshal’s voice needs no amplification as it echoes around the room. >3. The fleet stands at the ready, and we must decide where to focus our efforts in the newly-claimed territories. To our Sector North lies the Errata Prime System, with three planets and five major species. 40 years ago it was a hub of intersystem commerce and trade, but the war of the old coalition ruined it. We can rebuild it to its former glory, but not without investing ®. To our Sector East lies the Lern System, with nine-planets and three species. It is a completely destabilized region with constant conflict and multiple cold wars between several system factions. It has military potential but not before we subdue it. To our Sector South is the Iracross System, with four planets and one major species. They have a strong economy and have shown interest in what our industry can bring them, but their ways are considered barbaric. To our Sector West is the Om System. Two planets, both large and host to uncountable species. It is a major trading center as well as home to some of the largest manufacturing facilities in the quadrant. The industries there will resist any attempts we make to coopt their profits or tax them.A) Your AnswerB) More InformationC) Delegate this to an Elder committeeThe system display disappears and the lights turn back on. “That concludes the 75th Senate Meeting-” Elder Kartis is interrupted by a commanding voice. “Hold now, I believe you’re forgetting the Science Council’s proposal,” It’s Elder Ram of House Ranikhet, standing near the front of the Elder seating. All eyes turn to him, an uncomfortable silence descending on the room. You don’t fail to notice the glare of contempt Empress Volara briefly gives Elder Ram. >4. The Science Council, with generous contributions from Houses including my own, has made a breakthrough in the field of pathology. The council believes we may be on the verge of weaponizing a multi-species deterrent in the form of an aerial spray. Using this weapon we can guarantee the safety of the Republic and stop any alien aggressors who threaten our future. All they need is further funding and we can put ourselves leagues ahead of our rivals in terms of weapons technology.“Damn the genius of the Science Council,” Elder Kartis murmurs next to you. “We could always use the money to build a perfectly good laser,”A) Your AnswerB) More InformationC) Delegate this to an Elder Committee
>>1237924The senate meeting concludes, and all rise as the Empress makes her way out of the room. You and Elder Kartis agree to meet in your quarters for a drink and cigars. As you turn from your seat you feel a hand on your elbow. You look back to see Elder Veni of House Karr. “Chancellor Marik,” Elder Veni says. “If I may have a word,” You wave Kartis on ahead and begin strolling with Elder Venis towards one of the private promenades that line the outside of the Senate floor. Elder Venis waits until you are under the protective awnings to speak. “My Chancellor, what do you think of Empress Volara?” You tell him. “Of course,” Elder Venis says. “I feel the same way. I’m sure you’ve heard many of the worries that the Elders share. It is great thing we are trying to accomplish, dividing a sector into fourths and governing them well. There are many in the Senate who have cast doubts at our abilities to maintain a balance of power. In fact,”>5. Some have suggested that we cement our alliance with one of the other three factions through trade deals and agreements that go beyond the New Coalition agreements we made two cycles ago. This could cause tension with the other two, but again there are Elders who are already expressing doubts at the solidity of this alliance. Another way, a way which I am beginning to see the reason of, and think you should as well, would be to symbolically unite ourselves with another faction. Symbolically, as in, a marriage between two heads of state. The Ceph Admiral Supreme comes to mind, though House Dormon has expressed interest in the Tau Aun’O for the sake of their Earth Caste technologies. There are even some who wish to win the military might of the Covenant to our side, though how a marriage to the Prophets would work is anyone’s guess. The Minmatar people might need some convincing, we know how much they revere her, but with the considerable resources of my House I believe I could sway public opinion. Which leaves the bride in question. Now we all know how, spirited, the Empress is. She would certainly resist the idea. Unless of course, you proposed it. She’s fond of you after all Chancellor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0d4qM7gCH8>The Covenant >2119 AD>High Charity, The CapitalStatues stare, their massive marble bodies rising towards the domed ceiling. You feel their gaze as you kneel before the Altar of the Covenant. Gold and blue banners adorn the walls, moving faintly in the breeze that wafts through the upper levels of the sanctum. You eye the Altar, the physical representation of your people’s faith in transcendence. A commotion draws your attention. Still kneeling, you gaze over your shoulder. Behind you your prophet brothers are gathered in front of a group of finely dressed Sangheili. The Elites tower over the prophets. “It is time,” A Sangheili growls. “Tell the Hierarch the councilors have gathered and we have much to discuss,” “The Hierarch is in prayer,” The prophet says. “He is not to be disturbed until he is finished,”“He has been in prayer for hours,” The Sangheili Elite growls back. “It is time to convene,” It’s true, you have been kneeling in front of the altar for some time. Your knees ache, despite the purple satin draped across the floor. You have much to think about, and much to meditate on. You feel the weight of destiny on your shoulders. The destiny of the Covenant. An entire quadrant is now yours, with all its hundreds of planets within. Never before in history has a group gained so much territory so quickly. And it is yours because of fear. Fear of an threat outside of the Orion Belt Sector. A threat, that if the reports are to believed, is approaching. “His holiness will join when he is ready,” The prophet says. “And not a moment before,” You slowly get to your feet, drawing both groups’ attention. Your throne hovers to your side. You tell them you’re ready, and slowly climb onto the high-backed chair. You don’t know if you’re truly ready, but as the spiritual leader of the entire Covenant, you will surely act it. You, your prophet brothers and the Sangheili Elite walk down a massive hall towards a circular door larger than a building. The door slides aside with the slow hiss of powerful servos. You enter into a tower. A massive tower, a dozen stories in either direction and wider then a frigate. Sitting in alcoves lining the walls are groups of San’Shyumm and Sangheili. Their gaze turns to you as your throne and entourage enters the chamber. “All rise!” An Elite Sangheili proclaims. Two-hundred bodies comply. Your chair moves into position in the center of the tower. Two of your prophet brothers accompany you, holding the signs of your office; A large iron halo, the sign of transcendence, as well as a hammer, the sign of the forerunners. A Sangheili Elite waits for you in the center of the tower. His armor is golden, and with him stand powerful-looking warriors of his clan. You greet Jakar, the Elite in the golden armor.“Greetings to you, hierarch,” He replies. “We are ready to begin,”

>>1241199You Signal to begin. Jakar turns to face the alcoves lining the tower. He points in the air, and giant holograms of the Covenant-claimed systems appear. >1. We have claimed much, and now we must decide where to set our efforts first. To the Sector North is the Pyon System, with five planets, six species and sub-standard industry. It was a powerful Meata mining system in it’s day, but fell into poverty when the mines ran dry. We could make something of it if we invest ®. To the Sector East is the Tyrel Major System, with three planets, one species and a thriving economy. The system’s leaders are eager to do business with us, but are notorious for being underhanded. To the Sector South is the Utan System, with twelve planets, innumerable species and a thriving economy. The sheer size of this system and it’s varied occupants will prove an obstacle. To the Sector West is the Yuntan System, or the Dark System. It is dangerous by virtue of being a mystery. It is unknown what lies within, and many ships venturing into it have been lost.A) Your AnswerB) More InformationC) Delegate this >2. We must also establish the extent of our rule over our new territories. Shall baptism into our Covenant faith be required? And if so, what shall we do with those who refuse? >>1241478The Council of Masters’ alcove breaks away from the wall, hovering close to the center platform you occupy. “We must speak of military matters now,” one of the war councilors says. Jakar looks ready to strangle the councilor, but you tell him to continue. >3. We must build fleets that will cover the quadrant, and to do so we must construct a new mega-structure orbital ship-yard. The first of its kind. Many members of the Covenant vie for the honor of designing the mega-station. Who then shall we give this privilege to? The Sang’Heili Elites? The Jiralhanea Brutes? Or the Yanme’e Drones? “Or possibly an outside party, specializing in such a task?” The prophet next to you murmurs. "Since when did the Covenant species excel at anything but war?"A) Your AnswerB) More InformationC) Delegate thisOne of the Council of Master members, a Jiralhanea Brute slams his fist against the railing. “And let us not forget,” he says. “Of the Jiralhanea! The Sangheili Elite curls his lip back in disgust, clearly unimpressed with the Brute councilor. The Jiralhanea continues. >5. I propose more seats for more species, not just Prophets and Elites. As well as additional command roles for Jiralhanea in the Covenant armies. “That is heresy!” Your Prophet brother exclaims. “The Covenant caste system is a holy mandate! The dissolution of such a system would be the death of our faith!” A) Your AnswerB) More InformationC) Delegate this
>>1241702“We have spoken of faith and war,” A voice rings out. “Now we must speak of justice,” The tower falls silent. All councilors recognize the voice of Prophet Mazuar. His alcove detaches from the wall and joins yours in the center. “We must speak of the traitor Emile,”You sigh. You knew it was coming. Emile the Sangheili Elite. A Cruiser Commander who disobeyed orders to fire on a passing comet-like creature that was headed for High Charity. It turned out to be the right decision, as the creature was apparently in psychic communion with Commander Emile and only trying to help. Still, it had been decided that the Covenant should try and capture the creature for study, and Commander Emile again disobeyed orders and let it go. This too turned out to be a good thing, but such transgressions go beyond a simple court marshal. The second order had been given by one of your Prophet brothers, and to disobey your holy office’s authority was a serious offense.Prophet Mazuar continues. >5. What shall we do with this traitor of ours? Shall we execute her? Make a public spectacle of her? Lock her away forever? I'm making up extra fluff as I go along here. The 'me' referred to in Arc's intros and that can be assumed to be the Prophet of Understanding, as he's the first among equals of the three Hierarchs. I'll add more to my 'pdf' tomorrow sometime. The current Hierarchs are the Prophet of Understanding, Prophet of Retribution and Prophetess of Compassion. Of the three, Understanding is the eldest and generally the one to speak up and address the council, especially on matters relating to law and religion (though of course everything is religious to a degree in the Covenant). Retribution often takes the lead on military matters and has the highest standing with the Brutes. Compassion is the most popular with the population as a whole, especially the Elites, but is quite a bit younger than the other two. She often works more behind the scenes, dealing with sensitive and delicate issues while the other two deal with more sweeping obvious problems in the public eye.>1.(Answered by Retribution)“The Pyon system shall be our first concern. The system has declined, and those in need are always more open to coming salvation. We shall offer them a way forward, and so bring them the light of the Covenant. If Tyrel Major wishes to trade, let them trade, the Kig-Yar, as always, will search for petty material profit, and as the truth we knew and they denied seeped into their culture, so too will it seep into Tyrel Major from the Kig-Yar. Yuntan and Utan can wait until we are ready.”>2.(Answered by Understanding)“To join the Covenant, a people must swear allegiance, only then may they be added to the Writ of Union and take their place in our holy order. Faith is not required to swear obedience, nor to be faithful to their oaths in future. Even should they not see the faith at first, they will come to embrace it with time should we light their way. Only the blasphemous, the disobedient or the useless need be destroyed.”
>>1242198>3.(Answered by Retribution)“The Covenant has ever built its own ships, and always this task has been led by the Sangheili. As it has always been, it shall remain, though both Jiralhanae and Yanme'e will be given their say in proportion to their station due to their expertise in war and engineering.” >4. (Answered by Understanding)“Again, all shall be kept in proportion. Do you see any Unggoy or Kig-Yar in this chamber? You do not, despite their long service to the Covenant, their place is not in this council. Jiralhanae do stand among us, though in small number, despite only recently joining our divine nation. Should they prove worthy to have greater say in governance then so shall it be. Until such a time, they must fulfil their duty, as do we all, and remain where they are best placed to work towards the Great Journey.” >5. (Answered by Compassion)“Emile has served with honour, and her actions, though heresy, were done in the best interests of our Covenant. In this judgement, she was correct, and should be honoured. For her disobedience, however, she must be condemned. As such, she will be branded heretic, but at the same time raised to the position of Arbiter, to serve with honour once again as our divine blade. Should this creature return, she will conclude our dealings with it, whether in words or blood.”

As such the life that refuses it bow before will be executed, their properties seized and brought into the care of the government. However their children, if they are young enough to not have started to form memories of their parents will be given over to state caregivers who will use the resources seized from the executed along with empire resources to be raised within the Greater Good. 3A) Your Answer Send the Demiurge Bastions along with the Water Caste and Ethereal Caste diplomats into Ragala System to begin negotiations on fees for protection and giving a portion of one of the three planets to make a Tau Sept to raise Fire Caste from.3B) More Information Send Water Caste diplomats to the East to learn about the Azure System to learn about the Patallla Faith. The struggles between clans only serves as a detriment to this goal. These are sadly desperate times, and with the state of the galaxy we tread on uneven ground.I propose that public service either through civilian or military duty be made mandatory for all newcomers of age, who wish to acquire citizenship. Current citizens will also be allowed to sign up for these programs to not only serve their country, but also elevate their status as citizens. This can be done either under the banner of their sworn house, or under the banner of the Crown.Members of the Bootstrap Backwater of course exist in a state of diplomatic immunity, and thus will not be affected by this change.>3.I believe that our focus should be on the Errata Prime System, as establishing this outpost will help us reach out to the remaining systems are a greater rate, while avoiding aggressive expansion. If we invest enough resources into the system, the native species will surely come to see the might of the Republic. However, the size of this issue cannot be ignored, and as such I ask each of the represented houses for their opinion on this subject. This includes the Free Guilds and the Bootstrap Backwater.>4.While the idea of a multi-species deterrent is in itself vile, I would allow for research into an air-borne "spray" as you call it, with the exception that it may only be engineered to affect nonsentient lifeforms, as the implications of a spray lethal to a sentient lifeform would not only cause panic among the populace, but disgrace the purity of The Crown.>5I understand your concerns Veni, but the people need the Empress to be their light, their crown. Without the crown, the Republic would crumble, and us with it.If you insist on this proposal, I would advise you to leave the Empress alone. You watch the wine right itself as your ship straightens out. The capital city whizzes by the window, growing smaller as your ship climbs into the atmosphere. In the seat next to you, your friend and confidant Elder Kartis fidgets with a puzzle block. Across from him, Empress Volara and her son watch a news vid on a screen floating before them. The Empress points things out to her son, instructing him in a way only a mother and an Empress can."Sirs and your Highness," An attendant says. "If you'll look to your right, you'll see the Minmatar fleet at dock."Your attentions shift out the large window, where you have now reached space. The planet's expansive surface stretches out before you. A ship yard, it's metal frame crisscrossing in a chaotic spiderweb, rears up in your window. Four Tonkars and six mighty Tortoises are docked, the Minmatar fleet."Hmph," Empress Volara says. "It's going to be difficult to control a quadrant with just ten ships," "Patience my Empress," Elder Kartis says, chuckling. "We shall build more. And then what will the galaxy do?"You smile, taking a sip of your wine. You comment on the litany of tasks you have yet to address before you fully control your claimed quadrant. "Well," The Empress says. "Let's discuss some of them now, we have time before we're docked," "Ha!" Elder Kartis says. "We have to wait for the Senate meeting," "We certainly do not," The Empress says. "The senate meeting is a formality, a sign of respect to the heads of the Houses of Minmatar. But the only man who really matters is right here," She points to you. "Besides, it will be an excellent learning opportunity for my son," You shrug, then glance out the windows. The ship yard continues to run past your window, with its millions of inhabitants and workers. You can make out sparks and flashes of lights where workers are building new ships. It's partially true what the Empress says. The House Elders are important, but there's nothing wrong with at least discussing the upcoming matters of Senate. You know of most of them already due to your daily briefs. You pull up your datapad, opening up the Senate files and browsing the upcoming issues. Empress Volara and Elder Kartis do the same as an attendant refills their glasses. "Hmm," Empress Volara says, tapping something on her datapad. "Let's start with this one," Her fingers slide slowly across the screen, and in response a chart and graph materialize in the air.

They've also asked us to rebuild the Perrus Mining Lance, a famous mega-structure that dug into the planet's mantle and extracted resources. House Karr has also specifically asked us to look into rebuilding Fan-Shi City on the planet Chora. The city was a technological marvel and hosted multiple trade guilds headquarters. It's still well known throughout the quadrant, and news of it's resurrection would attract much industry. The Mining Lance would cost 3 ® and the City would cost 4 ®A) Your Answer B) More Information C) Delegate this to an Elder Committee>2. Representatives of the Bootstrap Backwater have apparently gotten a headstart on us in the Errata Prime system, staking out the new territory and establishing themselves among the local leadership and crime lords. Luckily they still owe us fealty, so their initiative is in our best interest. However the Bootstraps have begun asking us to investigate the Araja Graveyard, a tangle of ship remains that stretches for kilometers in every direction. It lies between Chora and Perrus, and nobody will go into it. This is causing trade ships to go kilometers out of their way to circumvent the graveyard, wasting time and resources. All who have entered have disappeared, and sometimes strange signals are picked up from within the floating wreckage. Should we investigate with some of the fleet? Or let those Bootstrap ruffians deal with?A) Your AnswerB) More Information C) Delegate this to an Elder Committee
>>1254705The luxury vessel docks, the airlock clicking into place and venting. You all tuck away your datapads and stand. Several guards appear, taking their place around the Empress and the Prince. Together you all leave the vessel into the Ship Yard. You're greeted inside by a gigantic tunnel lined with guards and attendants."Elder Kartis," Empress Volara says. "Would you be so kind as to take my son on ahead? I wish to speak with the Chancellor,"Elder Kartis bows and motions the Prince to walk beside him. The two leave you and the Empress standing near the entrance of the hall. After they disappear, the Empress begins walking with you slowly. The guards are still present, though they give the two of you space as they follow."Chancellor," The Empress says. "I heard recently that Elder Veni believes I should be married,"You tell her it is true."I've also heard you told him no, but offered my son when he is of age,"You again tell her this is true. The Empress is silent for a bit, simply walking with you down the corridor. Outside the windows that line the hall, ships zip past and forth as industrial scale construction flickers in the distance."I never thought the day would come when I'd see my son in an arranged marriage. Do you truly see this as wise?"You remind her that Elder Veni wished it to be her. You go on, saying that her son could indeed be a great influence in the quadrant if he was united with a powerful daughter of an alliance member. The empress is again silent. Finally she nods."I understand, everyone is nervous, a coalition like this has only been tried once, and the last time ended in apocalyptic war. I would allow for my son to be eventually married, but it will be my choice who,"You nod, conceding the fairness of this.>5. "If that is the case," Empress Volara says. "Then I would like to host a royal ball of sorts, here on Matar, inviting the royalty of the Ceph, the Tau and the Covenant. It would need to be the most impressive event of the decade, one worthy of celebrating the New Coalition. One where I could view the daughters of our various allies, and choose one for my son,"You briefly ponder what such a Ball would look like. The Ceph, the Tau and the Covenant are so vastly different that you're not sure it would work. And it would surely be costly. A ways down sits the Prophet of Compassion, and on the other side, Retribution. You are eating dinner in what can only be described as an over-sized atrium. It had always been a bit excessive for your tastes, but apparently the many billions you ruled over enjoyed their Hierarchs to seem...well, Hierarchical. Compassion picks silently at a bundle of grapes. Servants wait at her beck and call behind her chair, as they do behind yours and Retributions'. Speaking of the latter, your prophet brother was currently draining his third glass of wine. A servant rushed to refill it. You call their attention. You dislike the silence, and the background chanting. You tell a servant to change the background chanting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp77_7E3UDg&list=PLDA27A876968C1847You inform your prophet brother and sister that you shall discuss important matters. Matters that cannot wait for the next meeting of the Covenant. Compassion and Retribution share a look, then nod. Things were moving quickly, and everyone in the Orion Belt Sector was holding their breath to see what would happen next. The Covenant was poised to become a Sector Power, a contender in the greater galactic game of dominance. "I agree," Compassion says. She motions a servant holding an orb forward. "Let us see the problems before us," The servant holds forth the orb, and systems and planets are projected out over the black marble table.
>>1254934The Pyon System hovers low. A hologram projection appears of Jakar of the Golden Armor, standing on the table. "You called my Hierarchs?" The Elite says. You ask him to be present for this meeting. He nods. "What have you learned of the Pyon system?" Compassion asks him. "Confirm our own findings for us,">1. The Pyon System has been found to have several deposits of Lithium Gas on it's third planet, the gas giant Pegasus. This is a powerful find for the Covenant, but we must first establish an entire network of facilities to begin extracting it. To start, a space port orbiting the planet, and a science facility that would float on the many gaseous levels of the planet. The space port would cost 3 ® and the science facility 3 ®. An addition, the need for some sort of protection has been requested, as there are strange creatures deemed hostile that inhabit the swirling gases of Pegasus. >>1255026>3. Trade Representatives from the Tyrel Major System have visited us recently. Apparently they are part of a multi-system network known as the Crimson Market. Our initial investigations into the network reveal it to be a powerful entity in terms of commerce and influence. Their power stems from the use of local crime elements and mercenaries. We could begin negotiations with this network, but we must be careful that we absorb it instead of the other way around. A procession enters, sweeping away the plates and replacing them with new food. Again, a bit excessive to your tastes, but the spiritual leaders of the Covenant must have the very best from the many worlds they'll soon control. Jakar continues, pointing out High Charity. >4. We have had several billion new arrivals and asylum seekers arrive at High Charity within the last fifteen cycles. We are processing them, but in the meantime their ships orbit our capital, binding themselves together and forming make-shift colonies. High Charity's orbit has become a lawless region, that while not yet directly affecting us, has led to several ship explosions and refugee deaths. The mega-structures are built close together and are connected by a crisscrossing network of bridges and tunnels. Deep within the recesses of these towers and bridges the crime conclaves rule supreme. They are the defacto government, there, but have been below our notice as they stay in the Slum Cities and keep their conflicts to themselves.>Our initial reports indicate the alien arrivals will soon band together and start a major war with the crime conclaves. >>1256909Yeah you've still got UN:1 which really is 100-500 guys, and it can definitely be healed. I was just going for a good backstory for the heroes. >>1257132I was thinking it's UF, UA and cost would increase if it reaches a specific UN, if it has 10 UN or lower, it's 15 FN/AN, 20 has 20 FN/AN, 30, it's maximum UN, has 30 FN/AN. I would be able to build a swarm unit at those UN levels, i would also be able to pay more money to reach the next UN level even though the unit is already built. >>1257363Actually that's definitely overpowered if each UN gives me 1 dice roll.
Hey Arc, what's the Success threshold for a ship with 5 UF/UA?
>>1257597It depends on who you're facing. Armor and Firepower levels and how many you are over/under your enemy's level factor largely into it. On an even playing field its usually 5 on a D10
>>1257633The others mostly have their UF/UA above 10 so let's say the ship is a against a enemy with 12
Alright, so i have though about my swarm unit some more and managed to find a way to not make it overpowered.Instead of getting stat upgrades when it reaches a certain UN it will start with 6 UF/UA at UN1 and every additional UN will give the unit +1 to UF and UA, so at UN10 it should be 15 UF/UA.Arc can decide the base cost and the UN limit.

Assign The Hopeful’s guard duties to protect these camps, as I am sure a mixed force of Minmatar soldiers and Auxiliaries would provide the most comfort, and increase local recruitment from the camps, among those that wish to protect their people.>3.We cannot allow ourselves to be complacent. Commence restoration of the Thalma Spaceport, under the supervision of the Free Guilds. Allow House Dormon the supervision of the construction of the Perrus Mining Lance. Lastly, House Karr would oversee the restoration of Fan-Shi. The respective elements would be delegated these areas as their responsibilities going forward, and will have a heavy influence in the operation of these sites, as long as it doesn’t conflict with the interests of the Republic.>4Send 1 unit of Tonkars along with a unit of Wasps to assist the Bootstrap Backwater in clearing this area. If no threat is found, or if the threat is small enough to be eliminated, clean the wreckage of valuables and salvage what is possible, before relocating the rest so that safe passage can be allowed. If it is possible, save as much debris from destruction as possible, as it is most likely filled to the brim with valuable ressources. The representatives of the Bootstrap Backwater will get first pick from the more valuable findings, to compensate them for their efforts to the Republic.>5A Royal Ball would be a grand idea, but likely a costly one. We do not understand the other empires well enough to attempt to create a multicultural ball, and would probably end up doing something stupid. I propose that this ball would be dedicated to showing the splendor of the Republic and the Crown. The Grand Ballhouse of The Republic should be erected for this purpose, with only the most beautiful design possible, to show just how the Republic shines.(For the Arc Father: Think a design along the lines of Orokin architecture mixed with a bit of Naboo.)
