Turbolasers gleam and blaze in the void of space. TIEs race outside your viewports, cutting apart enemy bombers. The Interdictor is using its gravity wells as weapons, hurling asteroids and leftover mines at the ships. You see an Acclamator slam itself into one of the MC80s, taking both of them out of the fray. The Gambit's guns blaze near constantly, her veteran gunners picking the screener ships out of the fray with ease.Clattering detonations come from all around, and you see two, three ISDs go down to enemy fire. That didn't mean the sun stayed locked in the sky over Britain, it just meant they were so big there was always sunshine somewhere in their territories. There will always be a sun somewhere in our Empire, so we will always be the empire of the rising sun and goddammit that is a mouthful, we should have went with a shorter name.

>>1063945>>1063956>>1064247Geonosis was the agreed evacuation point. It's uninhabited at this time, close to a trade route (but not on one), within Hutt controlled space (who we are currently friendly with), close to an Imperial Garrison (Ryloth) and a strong Imperial Ally (Rodia). Most of the infrastructure of Geonosis would still be in place as it was primarily subterranean, so a surface bombardment wouldn't have disturbed much, we just need to get some hydroponic facilities up and running for food and refit the factories for current munitions and ships. Maybe set up some comet mining for water supplies if they start running low and definitely need to get a few early warning/interdiction outposts going.
>>1064439Backing this. We are also relatively close to Hypori too. Send a small expeditionary force to recon any droid foundries. If I remember correctly Christophsis has mineral wealth we could exploit for some fast cash.

Gas the farmers, miner master race

That first question you know the answer to - the Imperial governor effectively enforces taxation laws on the ground, and keeps peace in the orbital space. He only has a platoon (100) Stormtroopers, so there isn't much he can do on the ground besides protect key Imperial holdings from serious damage."So, what sparked the war? I want to hear it from both sides. Tenner, you first.""Down here in the valleys and plains, we get along just fine off our own hard work. We don't need nothin' but what we can get from the land. We don't take nothin' from the Empire, so why should we pay taxes? Meanwhile, these miner boys sit up in the mountains, lettin' their machines break rocks for 'em, eatin' food brought here on special ships, and somehow they get tax /breaks/? So, when the Alliance came a'callin', we jumped at the chance for freedom! And the miners had the audacity to try and take away our choice! They reported everybody who tried to sneak off to join the Alliance - got 'em executed. I lost my pa that way," she says, her fury dying out a bit at the last sentence.Brete clears his throat."We miners are loyal, /hardworking/ Imperial citizens," he says, with what you assume is a glare at Tenner. "We supply ore, hundreds of tons of it, for the Imperial infrastructure and ships that bring us our food. While it may be true that the farmers take nothing but protection, law enforcement, and healthcare from the Empire, they also give nothing back, ever since the Rebellion came proselytizing. It took twelve lives, and half of our mining droids.""I would like to know how the former imperial governor enforced the tax, both on the Miners and on the Farmers. What did they do to you to get the Imperial tax?"Tenner: "Sent us messages every so often with a number. If you didn't pay, you got two more messages, then a knock on the door from some Stormtroopers, and thrown in debtor's prison. She giggles a little at her pun."The miners make about 23,000 per person, but our system is clan-based - the clans, individually, average about 1,068,000.""Would a tax reduction on the farmers and an increase on the miners lessen tensions?"Tenner: "The farmers would be delighted to have a break on taxes. Here are my terms - I will strive to create peace among your people, raise the quality of living, and more. In turn, you will owe your allegiance to me, forswearing all old allegiances. This is not an offer. On the matter of taxes, however, I'm sure we can reach an agreement. Oh, and if I see a shot fired before the deal is done, well... have you ever heard of a 'Base-Delta-Zero?'" >>1072272Again, we already talked about this in the discord, we are stuning them.
>>1072545The problem with using a discord is that people who are new won't know about it and many people are cagey about using it. It might be convenient for some but it is still an unnecessary layer for discussion for others and downright offputting for some.I also don't claim to know anything about it, but can't the individual chatrooms go down after a while? Does it archive for the entire length of the discussion? These are things to consider for later in time when people may be reading this in the archives and they have no clue what is going on or why things are being picked.
