    You are Hxu-2891 Lobsterman soldier, freshly out of the cloning facility. Your brain has been implanted with all necessary information that a basic soldier needs to know about its general environment, usage of your weaponry and basic equipment. The war with the planet Earth’s human population has been going for 6 months now and you are among the second wave of Lobsterman deployed.

    Lobsterman Quest the recollection:

    Your first mission was a probing mission, after landing and patrolling a human squad landed nearby, separated from your squad you watched them deploy and head towards your ship. After some confusion you opened with a heroic solo assault against the human craft and the soldiers. Evading their gunfire and even a missile you gunned down 3 of the 4 humans during the charge. Upon getting close and personal the last one surprised you when he used a stun weapon and almost incapacitated you. In the end he was no match for your sheer brute strength however, you grabbed him but somehow he slipped from your grasp and fled to their craft leaving a grenade in your face. Your short lifespan flashed before you but the grenade was a bluff as it did not damage you just rendered the water black with ink obscuring your vision.

    Obey the orders, they are from your superiors and those who gave you life. Take a token from each of the humans. A finger or ear, maybe an eye even. If you get reprimanded for it, discard it as per your commander's wishes. If not, see if you can find a way to preserve it, and wear it into your next battle.     you know I actually heavily considered that but I don t know how to incorporate it yet.

    You are hurt but you start to walk towards the coral formation where the gunfighting with the humans and your crew took place.     The machine disconnects, you get up this was a hard day you return to the incubation and hibernation hall. An Aquatoid medic leads you to your tank you lie down and finally get some sleep. The tank closes and a different liquid is pumped inside that heals your wounds and relaxes your mind.

    You do not know how long you were asleep the reactivation program awakened you. You step out of your tank and feel refreshed the scars of the last mission are gone. Leaving the incubation you go to the deployment hall with several of your kind you pick up the items you were given.

    You got the Tech-box, Advanced-key you were also given a sonic rifle and two grenades as standard equipment. You connect your key to the computer to get briefing for your next mission.

    You have chosen Colony supply mission, you are dispatched with 11 other Lobstermen to man the Fleet supply cruiser. Two navigators a medic, a technician and a squad leader the rest are soldiers. The ship houses a large amount of machinery and equipment that will be needed to a coastal colony in the northern part of the planet. After a few hours your ship takes off and is on its way. So far nothing interesting is happening you catch yourself with some free time with not much to do. The other soldiers are moving cargo the leader is up at the control room the navigators are busy with the controls.

    Taking out your Advanced-key and plugging it to your interface you see that it has superior access to doors, machinery and you may also give commands to lower ranking Lobstermen or brainless terror units if no superiors are present.

The other technician has opened up a panel and is now busy connecting wires and mending them with fast drying plastic paste. You see they have a much larger toolbox in the middle of the room.

    Another smaller explosion shakes the craft and you see a tube in the other wall burst up and start to leak.

Although you and the tech team managed to seal the pipes and get the electronics to work again, the exterior damage that is beyond the crew does not allow top speed or the whole ship will fall apart. Fuel lines and venting are stable the electronics seems to be working as well.

    The other technician who were welding the pipes is done and goes to help the 3 rd one. After another sudden bang shakes the hull and your interface transmits new commands from squad leader to you

    Not having time on him right now you connect your key to the weapons interface, you can do this because you have leader level 1. You can soon see the ship from outside. Two human crafts are following you on each side the left one sending a barrage of shots at the ship’s hull and the right one is further away but in hot pursuit the rear cannon’s targeting sensor is now at your command.

    You easily lock on the left one and fire the sonic beam weapon.

The ship suddenly shifts towards the right as the navigators try to avoid the attack then bring the ship back in balance again.

    You fire again but your fire misses its mark the enemy craft scores a direct hit again. After that the ship starts to shake and you can see that you are quickly loosing altitude as your craft sinks down to the bottom. You disconnect from the weapon and grab hold into something solid. It pummels with great force and smoke. Cargo rumbles and trashes around in its bindings and you can hear screams in your interface.

    After the shaking finally stopped you can get up, you do not feel hurt it seems you survived the landing without a scratch but from the screams at the interface it seems not everyone was as lucky as you. The ship landed horizontally so is standing normally and you are on your feet.

    It has been 6 months now, you first mission the humans used weapons unknown to you

    Requesting information from your interface a navigator responds that the bridge has suffered large collusion damage and leader is heavily wounded the second navigator dead. The medic survived and is ready for duty. The technicians also survived 2 soldiers died after the crash while attempting to secure cargo, from the crew of 11 you have 6 fully able right now.

    1 navigator
    1 medic
    2 technicians
    2 soldiers

    You cannot download any medical information because while ship has the implanter machinery it is housed in the cargo bay and not linked to a Synomium device for data nor has any power source in the ship to operate.

    i quite enjoyed lobsterman quest, partly because it's the first quest i caught at the right time to participate with.

    for the future, hmm. I know how the game is supposed to play out from the human perspective, but i'm not sure what or how to continue doing it from the eyes of a lobster man for very long unless we (the lobsterman clone we're running) could obtain molecular control abilities.

    Yes the real game does get monotonous after awhile and in order to avoid this in Lobsterman quest I m afraid that eventually I will have to go against some of the fluff in the original game and introduce new things that are not in the game. I have some ideas for that already but I will have to work on them.

    For instance I can now cleraly see that I misspriced some of the upgrades that introduced and I will have to review it in the future.
