The rapid and catastrophic continuous eruption of the Mayon Volcano leads the adventures to believe that evil forces are at work and that someone is trying to create a new continent that could cause catastrophic world wide environmental destruction in terms of tidal waves and floods.

The villian Villard de Honnecourt is using the geothermal energy of the volcano to initiate his perpetual motion machine which will give him an unlimited supply of power to the effect of 5 large nuclear power plants. With this he will create a monolithic empire of automatons which will allow him to rule over his new continent and establish himself as a new world power.

GOAL: A bubble ring is an underwater ring vortex where an air bubble occupies the core of the vortex, forming a ring shape. The ring of air as well as the nearby water spins poloidally as it travels through the water, much like a flexible bracelet might spin when it is rolled off a person's arm. Some scuba divers can create bubble rings by blowing air out of their mouth in a particular manner. Long bubble rings also can form spontaneously in turbulent water such as in heavy surf. Bubble rings and smoke rings are both forms of vortex rings, and are sometimes studied in the field of fluid dynamics. Dolphins and humpback whales have also been seen to create bubble rings. Dolphins sometimes create bubble rings on purpose, seemingly for amusement.

The wingmen of Thanagar find themselves infiltrated by actor Alan Blumenfeld. While he was taping voices for a pilot of a new Warner Brothers justice league cartoon a carless technician plugged both an iPod and a Zune into the soundboard. With the help of prosthetic wings he was able to convince a well disposed Thanagarian to give him in order to blend in, he was able to forge a life for himself on Thanagar, even being accepted into the Wingmen. However none of his comrades suspect Blumenfeld's dark secret.

Where once he wore the actors mask as a profession, now Blumenfeld conceals the reality of what he experienced between dimensions. Though the jump was instantaneous from the perspective of those watching the dimensional jump cast Blumenfeld outside of space and time for what seemed to him like an eternity. The setting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_Grande_Compact It is 1939, in New Mexico, near the Rio Grande and the Texas border.

    The villain: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8th_Army_(Soviet_Union)

Rather than attack Finland, in our alternate history the Soviet 8th Army has been shipped across the Atlantic in a surprise invasion, to bring glorious Communism to Mexico. American and Mexican militia forces prepare to resist the red menace, and the PCs are among them. An isolationist US Congress remains neutral.

    The goal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Flood

If the PCs can destroy a dam holding back the Rio Grande, the Soviet invasion force will be swept away by a wall of water and blues music.

Ha, I'd play in this campaign. It'd need a spaghetti Western system, because the local militias only have old revolvers and Winchester rifles and such to hold off the Russians. Let's say that rather than purge all his officers, Stalin decided to send them on a suicide mission to North America.
