Would somebody please tell me why do things like Trauma Surge and Palenque's Lobotomization are still a thing? It's bad enough that Psychopomp characters can't bosy-surf between sleepers anymore, why do they have to be restricted that badly in the wargame as well? It's not like they were meta either, Trendil-Minds were, and they get access to those tecniques with the latest errata now. Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks so.
>>70392912Psychopomps also ahve access to Orpheus, the mightiest of all Named Heroes, who can tank entire armies, take control of multiple Victory Minds, and murder all but the weakest Controllers. And they get it for cheap too.
>>70394798>Unironically liking OrpheusRemember all those times he jobbed to Count fucking Amandus of all people?
I like how the factions of the game are balanced.
>>70397232I don't like how S-tier KUB players always claim this
>>70398186>he doesn't knowEvery faction is imbalanced and hilariously broken. That's the point. If everybody's broken, nobody is.
Love how they add rules for Cursed Grey. Best mechanical and lorewise excuse for unpainted models.
>>70392912Because DeadMeme was steamrolling the dev's pet faction. Trauma Surge removes other mental effects, so it removes Corruptive Glyph, and Lobotomization prevents Necroplague from taking root. If the devs didn't wank United Arms builds, then we wouldn't be in this mess.
>>70398210That's very Syndrome-ish of you, but that ain't the truth.Tendril-Minds and Kingom of Ungulate Bairns are objectively have the best lists around right about now, given their cheap and versatile units (KUB) or their ease in stealing Victory Minds by Neural Hijacking coupled with standard spells like Paleqnue's Lobotomization (Tendril-Minds).The Pulsating Shock is pretty average: expensive units, but strong and fast, and have a balanced choice of Tecniques.All-Encompassing Thoughts, Akuntamins and Devas lack in this or that, but have their own good enough gimmick to work. But Psychopomp armies have had the shortest end of the stick so far: their Tecniques are many, but they are gimped by default, and their live or die according to a single goddamn character. Not good.
>>70398386Psychopomps got fucked by the newest wave of devwank, give it some time and it'll smooth over. Besides, KUB? More like KRUD. It's hot garbage, cheap and versatile dies to half of the more expensive abilities.>But muh aggro rushA return to Memewright gameplay is fine by me - and you can totally place a Corruptive Glyph or Cannibal Sigil down with a Devil's Deal or a Prepared Inscription. Just because everybody else forgot about control when Illuminated got released doesn't mean I have.
>>70398283>Best mechanical and lorewise excuse for unpainted models. Now people just aereograph them back or white though. It looks even uglier than completely unpainted, in my humble opinion.
>>70398478>Besides, KUB? More like KRUD. It's hot garbage, cheap and versatile dies to half of the more expensive abilities.Yeah. That's assuming those expensive abilities ever get to be used more than once (and, believe me, no non-complete buffoon would deploy only small units of each thing in the KUB's rulebook), which is as garaunteed as you winning the lottery.
>>70399023>That's assuming those expensive abilities ever get to be used more than onceBehold, my incredible strategy - >3x Devil's Deal>Prepared Inscription on every hero unit>Pay in Blood rune bought for every squad>Turn one Cannibal Sigil, Gates of Pandemonium (cross-factioned through Keresh the Mighty), Mind Lance repeatedly on Elite Units, Flames of Fallen Oriad for groups>extend handSure, you're guaranteed to lose by turn 7 if you actually use that play, but it wipes 90% of any mainstream KUD build in the opening salvo.Memewright isn't unique, either, just drop some Devil's Deals and whatever unique accelerants that faction gets, and you can sling those abilities until you die of Drain. It's risky, but it's not like KUD'll survive Astarte's Reckoning or a Corrupt Artifact + Invoke Chaos on a Daeva Gunner.
>>70396653AhahaWait, you seriously consider The Fallen Olympian canon? Lemme laugh even harder!AHAHAH! AAHAH!
>>70392912Any thoughts on the new Veritas units? I feel like some of them (especially the Storm Guard) are kind of underpowered, considering the lore surrounding them.
>It’s another Alan suddenly appears to stop the dominion at the last second episodeEvery fucking time
>>70398478>you can totally place a Corruptive Glyph or Cannibal Sigil down with a Devil's Deal or a Prepared Inscription.Corruptive Glyph works basically only on Leaders and Elitès, given that most KUB units have the Consciouslessness keywork and have high Ki anyways, so it's of limited utility most of the times, unless you can afford to have your leader cast Bring into the Bardo, but then, unless you're a Daeva, it's super-expensive and painful for you too.But I agree that Cannibal Sigil can dispatch most KUB untis easily, if anything else because they have low Presence overall. Although I usually prefer to use a Prepared Inscription to add an Unnerving Chant to get the untits to flee the table, or at least leave the Victory Minds alone before they can grab them.
>>70399661>Storm Guard>underpoweredStop thinking Psionically and get your ass back in the Material. >Honesty of Clashing Metal>Thunderclap Bracers>access to fucking Celerity as a faction abilityStorm Guard is upper tier melee if supported properly and not thrown up against heavy units. I've seen a lucky Veritas build absolutely shred Fungoids, because they knew how to maneuver their guard right. It's no T1 KUB or Tendril-Minds, but Veritas may be the best melee skirmishers I've seen. Just because the stat blocks are horribly weak doesn't mean shit when their Move value is that high (especially with good Celerity use).
>>70399661I think Veritas units are limited by the fact that they're part of a subfaction of the Akuntamins, who aren't really meant to have straight-to-combat units around. So you have half-baked Storm Guards who are DESPERATELY craving to be a true beast, but aren't allowed to because otherwise that'd break the theme of "army that sends all other armies routing without fighting [much]"; and a Righteous Whirlwind Dancer that could 1 vs 1 most Leaders, but isn't allowed to due that bullshit rule about "the Betters".The models for the revealers are very nice tho.
unban skin scam you fucking cowards
>>70399795Ugh, I genuinely kind of liked Alan when he was first introduced, but he's sort of edged towards Gary-stu territory as time's gone on.
>>70399933>Stop thinking Psionically and get your ass back in the Material.I mean… the last time I saw a game that started in the Material plane and ended in the Material plane, people were still afraid of Y2K, can't exactly blame him for thinking mostly Psionically… granted that everything is possible if you plan for it.
>>70399802>Corruptive GlyphThere's a secret tech to get it to work on KUB - Consciousless protects against all Black Signs, but if you have a Neurosplicer (expensive, I know, but the synergy is too good) on the battlefield you can use Mental Influence on Consciousless beings it hits - but since most KUB units are Uplinked, a lot get taken down with even a single CG. When they patch Neurosplicer to only work on Mecha like it should, then the problem gets solved, but until then it's free reign for memery. >high KiYeah, it's not reliable, Cannibal Sigil works better.>Although I usually prefer to use a Prepared Inscription to add an Unnerving Chant You can do that?...Unnerving Chant can be stored as a Glyph? How have I not known about this!?
>>70399988>he doesn't knowSkin Scam is on a Unit now. Just play Corpse Merchant like everybody else.>muh recursion!Shush, that was a stupid build anyways and you know it.
>>70400116>Unnerving Chant can be stored as a Glyph?>How have I not known about this!?I *think* it was added in a recent-ish errata, but don't quote me on that.
>>70400034The guys on his way to godhood with all this wankery In the fluffCan’t wait to come back here in a few years and see threads complaining about Age of Alan
>>70392912Psychopomps were a mistake Their win-condition is forcing the opponent to literally pass on their war phase every turn.If psychopomps are ever tier 1 again this game will die in two weeks
>>70400216>I *think* it was added in a recent-ish errata, but don't quote me on that.Good lord, devs, what were you thinking?>get 10x Apprentice Scribes>pick Copy Script>now have 10x Unnerving Chants without paying Encrypt costabsolutely bonkers.
>>70400216Yes it was, same one that caused OP grief.>>70400263I mean, you'd also only deploy those 10 apprentice scribes. A fun strategy, but hardly reliable.
>>70400476>I mean, you'd also only deploy those 10 apprentice scribes. A fun strategy, but hardly reliable.Unless you're playing in a higher point total game, or you put Archaic Skeletal Animation Helms on your Scribes. It's not horribly broken, but it seems a strategy that uninteractive wouldn't get put in by the devs. You either ignore chant and win, or get hit by chant and lose. How much you wanna bet it gets errata'd out in the next emergency patch?
>>70400232That'll be the day dood. It'd give the devs an excuse to stop trying to do a cycle of overpowering-nerfing that has no in-betweens.But maybe I'm a bit too optimistic and the game's gonna end up being about fighting off diseases out of Alan's godly body.
>>70400610>How much you wanna bet it gets errata'd out in the next emergency patch?I'd say odds of that are good, but they have been slow to fix similar exploits in the past. Remember how long it took them to address the bullshit that was the Knightstalker strat?
>>70399643It got published under the NuFun license but all the Gallant Age stuff is still technically cannon as part of the buyout. Fags like you playing like its Sundered Moon era for ever and not buying new stuff are cancer.
>>70400937>Knightstalkeroh godyou reminded me>Opening move: Nightfall>Cloak of Night teleport in front of my poor Chimaera line>activate Dual Slash on Fallen Paladin armed with Gearheart Greatsword, combined with Full Attack from the rest of his units>kill 3x Dracophants total>morale damage calculated>wait, Fallen Paladin gets Intimidating Presence>SQUAD BROKEN.jpg>Sneak Attack procs on Fallen Paladin>Gearheart Greatsword procs>Nightfall procs>No Escape procs>12 fucking attacks with no distance requirements>Soul Harvest for 15I lost that game in the first fucking round. Fuck Knightstalker.
>>70398386Do you think Pyschopomps could've been better if they went with the original ruling for Ankhu's ability and allowed the pyscho-pimp build. It was a pain to play against and they still suffered the single character problem but at least it would give pomps something to do. And would at least provide some variety instead of another goddam orpheus build.
>people keep on coming after my beast riders even when they go into desert hexes while riding desert creatures>they keep losing units because they didn't bother to work out how Dry interacts with the logistics rules>free to keep raiding and plundering so I can afford my AteliersThe fucked up thing is that it isn't even broken most people just don't know how to play against it.
Daeva are going to wreck at the Grand Tourney this year. They have answers for everything:>General PsionicsBrain Override Pattern >MeleeGhostfield Projector>KUBInvoke Chaos and Resonant Frequency>Tendril-MindsDivine Severance and BOP>United ArmsResonant Frequency and Walking Arsenal>Orpheus buildsDivine SeveranceWith Dredge the Vaults and God-King's Scepter, they can actually have all those Techs prepared, too. They might not win, but I swear they're gonna place.
>>70401916They have one or two answers for everything, but you can play around one or two answers.
>>70402109You only need one or two answers to disrupt an entire strategy. Everything on that list could go down to a counter at the right moment, except for Tendril-Minds (nerf please). And, there's no other counter/control factions in the meta right now, so Daeva has the best chance it's had in years.
>>70402215You don't need to counter or control the enemy's toys if they can't get to you with them because you're dug into difficult terrain or camouflaged.
Hey looking to get into this. New player and nust got the Tendril- mind starter and trying to figure out my dudes.I've got a sever-Fiend and a unit Chained Heathens. What should I be looking at next?
>>70402689You can never have too many Rage Wraiths.
Are the Sea-Seer dudes still around? The pirate warlock aesthetic was fucking nice.
>>70403887Rage Wraiths got restricted last year numbnuttsOther anon put in Anger Spectres
>>70401844>running psi-shaman nomadsBeing able to run literally any animal from any splat as familiars is cheese.
>>70402330>*Brings ur Battlefield into the Bardo.*What now?
>>70401161If you put it that way, yes, they would've been better, but I'd rather have them being able to actually play most of the book, including basic units, instead of being a single-character-fest.Like, Ghostcarriers and Sleep Darters should be able to do their job as basic melee and ranged units decently enough, not just be meatshields for a character to either steal objectives (Orpheus) or steal enemy units (Ankhu).
Are any of the novels by Donald Simons good? I read The Dead Wilds and found it pretty average. I liked the insight into the political allegiance between the Desert Nomads and the Kisvandrians, but found the language overly-flowery in parts and Mormer was an insufferable protagonist at times with how he kept putting his foot in his mouth despite being a trained ambassador. I heard his War of Minds trilogy is good but I am not sure if it is for me. Would you recommend it?
>>70405357The thing about Mormer is that he's supposed to be really good at reading a person and collating information but terrible at social interactions. His entire shtick is that he's the perfect diplomatic functionary but is forced into the ambassador role that he is wholly unsuited for due to his family's political ambitions and social grandstanding. It just really hasn't been brought up much since the Ivergard duology that introduced him, and said duology was pretty overlooked when it was first released because of the hype surrounding The Dead Sun Chronicles being published around the same time.Mormer is loosely fantasy John Adams and you can actually guess the general direction of books that feature him once you figure out which early American diplomatic event is being analogued. Simons has a BA in American history.
>>70404067I was thinking of maybe getting their names torlund the Will Shackle but I feel like he's just good for casual play with the whole dude and make a specter/wraith.
How do I into Unsurgeons? I love the themes, but just can't seem to get them working.
>>70407295Make sure you're getting them the bodies to feed their cycle. Unsurgeons need to be using Reassembly as much as they can. Steal their dudes to bolster yours but remember they're super squishy. Their whole gimmick is they're a break away of the Tendril that's trying to unite everything by remaking it to their image.
Is the addition of Nouma Walkers in the edition just to appeal to /m/ weebs?
>>70407534I thought it was to give pyschopomps a heavy hitter that wasn't a character?
>>70408056Well, yes, but they break the theme hard, so they look really weird when deployed alongside ghosts with ancient weapons and armor.
>start game>look at guy across from me>he's playing a Squidgehere we FUCKING go again
>>70408608I always thought they went well as they're just golems basically that burn up a person free will and ability to think to move. The pyschopomps like that kinda thing soul fuckery has always been there shtick like the Mind Tendril and using hordes that are coordinated by units like Soul Binders and Wrath Goads.
>>70404022Yes but their rules haven't but updated in... a long time. They're fun but clunky.
>>70407295You start off by treating them as if the game was Warhammer Fantasy, AKA Send them flinging to the nearest unit and forget about moving the objective. Then you keep a Devil's Deal around with a Tecnique capable of awakening the battlefield if needed, as they're going to just clone their opponent's abilities otherwise. And, finally, you keep around them a smattering of Floating Neurons to absorb fire with their Mental Pull and Psi Barrier.
>>70408940Psi barrier is overrated and situational. I get Neurons are a cheap wall to get Unsurgeons to the field but they don't wow me unless you're facing a Psy army or can get the right set up with the pull. That said it's a great time when you use them with a Neuro-Cyst and use them to leap frog Agony Fields up the table.
>>70409276That's bullshit and you know it, Psi Barrier is the most cost effective and well rounded defense against Gorbic units which are the meta in first wave troops currently.I admit that with the changes coming in the next rotation of banners this will likely change but that does not change the fact that Psi Barriers are solid defenses at the moment, they even give physical resistances when you specialize into wave harmonics, which LITERALLY everyone starts researching turn three.
>>70409408Yeah if they're trying to turtle. Wave harmonics costs too much time and resources compared to better units. If you just switch up and go with Emotion Beggars you can stall better and still have offensive ability. Couple that with Cult of the Avent and you get a cheap hammer to beat back psy types.
>>70394798>130 points>cheapGet the fuck out.
>>70409563>Emotion Beggars>Cult of the AdventIf I wanted my colony to be faggot vagabond SJWs I wouldn't be playing Nostra.Wave Harmonics unlocks the best mid and late game battlefield alteration techs, I'll sip tea and focus my population resources on research while my Psi Barriers and automated coaxial railguns mow down your fodder.Emotion Beggars, lmfao, still can't get over how much of a casual you are. >>70405357I think that the Donald Simons books suck pretty hard in terms. They changed way, way too much about the previously established facts, and I think that his portrayal of the Tendril minds was way too close to the Tyranids for no real reason.
>>70409408>>70409563>>70409680Wave Harmonics, or on-field research in general, haven't been relevant in the wargame for a long time by now, why do you insist in bringing up vestigial rules?

ITT: point-buy brainlets who think white room skirmishes are relevant to a full game
This is better than /wbg/
So is there a quick fsction rundown? Looking to get into the game
>>70412499The factions are:+Psychopomps, ghosts who help out various gods of the Dead (well, the onestamente leasing them to the afterlife) and or Sleep/Dreams in doing their job, they however mostly look Luke Egyptian or Greek ghosts. Strong in the Dream-Psionic Plane, weak outsider of it, and mostly tries to get target humans out of the table rather than fighting directly.+Tendril-minds, an alliance of floating brains who can cause whatever trauma they want to humans or just take the brains to bolster their numbers, they are strong bth in Material Planet and Psionic Plane, but squishy.+Daevas, Indian-like demons who seek to dominate both Planes. Average overall, a starter faction if you will, bit rather overlooked otherwise.+Akuntamins, who are like Old World of Darkness mages, trying to make all of humanity psionic. A beast psionically in combat, but faster in the Material Plane.+KUB, a congregation offline cyborgs who want to figure out psionics. Cheap and versatile units, but notizie terribly original.
>>70412763>implying anyone plays KUB
>>70392912The new edition removed all depth from the game. Anyone who thinks that the old rules were too complex or fiddly or whatever is too dumb to live.
>>70413332Why, anon, I too enjoy needlessly long turns adding and removing tokens.
>>70413174Swerve psychopomp peasant, I just cleaned up at my FLGS with Kertyrn the Ascendant's Strike the Soul tech. His Eternal Rampage special rules let him just run through the enemy like nothing>Imagine giving the other player a turn
>>70413174Plenty do. You just need to look at the Grand Tourney and its lists: 80% were KUB.
>>70412763Daevas are great though. They're only a starter faction because of the old school starter scenarios that pitted a bunch of crappy Daeva units against a mid-tier Psychopomp hero and some support units. Since then there has been a tradition in showcases and starter packs of "watch Daevas job to awesome unit we want to showcase".
>>70409680>Emotion Beggars, lmfao, still can't get over how much of a casual you are. Go back to 40K, Monopoly, or some other childs game. Was he supposed to learn all tactics with infused science? Emotional beggars are easy to do things with, no matter how little you like it.
>>70414047They're also cheap to run. They fill the same function as Deva Acolytes of the Kism and KUB gestalt enforcers.
this game is dead, 3rd edition fuckin killed it, they should have gone to plastics when they had the chance, but noooooo. Keep wankering your old player base with those metal models. Resin controller models are fine thou
>>70414137The old metal minis have charm though. I mean the Mind Tendrils Wrath Goads still looks baller.
>"Come, monkess of the mountain," moaned the Akuntamin seductress, exposing more of her soft skin. "Do you not yet know the pleasures of flesh? Join with me in womanly embrace. Accept the purity of feminine love.">At that time, the Daeva gave her answer, crying out a loud kiai and swinging up with a high kick that would have split Ranessa's skull if it had not landed between the target's legs.Is Rururi 'ourgirl'?
>>70414496Rururifags are the worst, and the writers and teh worst among them. Get some taste and waifu Darlina like the rest of us.

>>70415472You anon, are a man of remarkable and refined taste.
Awrought gentlemen, let's get down to business and rate our lists. My Akuntamin one:Battlefield Tecniques: Infused Knowledge (Brainwarper), 4x Prepared Inscriptions (2xAwaken Battlefield, 1xClear Thoughts, x1 Liberate)Leader: Town-shocker with Dawn StaffBasic Units: 10 Akuntamin Apprentices with Mind-clearing Leashes and Repulsing Wands.5x5 Akuntamin Seducers with Hidden Blades and Alluring Masks + 3xInfused Knowledge (2x Attract, 1x Trauma Surge)Elitès: 20 Ascendants with Visualized Enlightment, Scimitars of Despair, and Psion-walking Amulets + 1xPrepared Inscription (Euphoria)Yeah, I know that it's fairly standard and that you've seen this a milion times, but it works really well. Besides, people STILL try to charge the Apprentices, shit would be depressing if it wasn't so funny.
>>70414496I dunno. I Always found that scene pretty silly, even in-context. It just sounds like something Fedrov stole from a cheap romance book and jsut mildly tweaked for cheap comedy.
>>70417727That's the point though. Ranessa is a stupid bitch and deserved the cunt-pint. Don't @ me.
>>70417076>he wants Euphoria instead of RageWhy the fuck would you pass on enemy units attacking each other? It not only causes them to lose their movement/action like Euphoria does, but also has the chance of getting them to take each other out.
>>70417814I mean it also can backfire. Wrath can hit your own dudes because it's THE NEAREST model. And even past that. It's passive reroll doesn't work well with thst

>>70418314Remember when it used to allow you to REPLACE an enemy model with Vashra if you couldn't find a friendly target? All you had to do was bait out an AOE or get a suicide unit and boom. Your Kertyrn? He was ahctually King Vashra all along.
>>70418208>once ran Reanimator Kalpa Slide build>ended game with 5 Vashras absolutely insane army. I'm glad they brought it back.
>>70418337Did they ever add a cannon cover up for that? I remember when hell was raised because of it and they passed it off as being in line with the TRAITOR PLANE errata from like 1.5 edition or some old unit book
>>70417814Because I want to use Euphoria on the Victory Minds, so that I can win without having to engage the enemy directly, not jsut delay the enemy mildly.
>>70418094A bunch of strategies that everyone can pull off, and that everyone knos by heart by now, so everyone can counter them if they have a brain.

It's glory theirs and a means to see the true eternity.
>>70417076R8 my Psychopomp list!Battlefield Tecniques: 5xDevil's Deal (3xEnter into the Bardo, 2xHush).Leader: Vanth with Ethereal Key and ∞x Infused Knowledge (∞x Instill Pity, Instill Fear, Instill Courage, Unnerving Chant, Soothing Chant, Purify, Compel Mortal, Mind Lance, Mind Fire)Basic Units: 10x5 Ghastly Peltasts with Slings and 1xDevil's Deal (1xSilence)2x10 Lucumones' Harem with Mesmerizing Jewels. The plan is to basically steal Victory Midns very quickly, much more so than an Orpheus list, at a higher risk of being beaten up into a pulp. Mesmerizing Jewels in particular are basically free 1-turn mind control... so as long that they pass a Presence test, that is, and they don't finish their charges (thankfully, the only cheese avaible to Psychopomps makes the jewels' charge count depending on the number of units developed)

>>70419030I have to agree with >>70419532 , it was a fatcutting decision that was pretty called for, as the game would've had too many factions around (13!), so lots od those had to go.

>>70422774Synapse gargoyles? I'd be more afraid of facing an Asylum list played by Winnie the Pooh under morphine than ANY army containing Synapse Gargoyles. They are pathetic units that do pathetic amount of damage and can't move the Victory Minds around.
>>70423743>t. Overcompensating Psych mofo.
>>70423743>obviously never ran into Gargs with a Gestalt warmind and Tyrant manipular build.
>>70418707>Forgetting Akuntin were also the first to tap Psionic powers but in doing so brought everything down around them in a storm of excess as daeva and Pyschopomps destroyed their golden cities and their first Psionic minds became the Tendrils. Don't sugarcoat how shitty they were. Literally everything bad is because they couldn't keep their own power in control without depriving themselves of pleasure.
>>70424275The Psychopomps were going to blow their "cities" regardless: they knew the rest of humanity was in borrowed time, so they simply destroyed their respective Underworlds (really, more like reugee camps for souls) and started bringing everyone info the Beyond. Just because they finished doing so the same moment Akuntamins figured out they didn't want to be spooky bois forever, doesn't mean they provoked it.
>>70425236Doesn't help KUB had started to form around then as ironically an anti psion movement. Also TM player here. I can't figure out what to do with Emotion Beggars. They seem good, I mean treat any power with Emote keyword as an allied power should be baller against anyone trying euphoria or Wrath them as it just makes them better. But fuck me everyone knows that gimmick and as TM leaders draw their pacts from their units it seems like a dead space I could run Rage spectres or Sorrow Fiends in.
>>70425478The most you can do with Emotional Beggars, against experienced players, is to stall enemy elitès by hitting them with Instill Courage, and and use both Palenque's Lobotomization and Unnerving Chant on them on purpose, so that they won't break out of combat until they are all dead.
>>70426234I had seen that the Seditious Whisper might work because you csn force a cast but that leaves your leader wide open and too close for most TM leaders regardless
So I just got the Battle over Gergööd box set, and when I unpacked it from the box I saw that I was missing the Mind Absorber. Can I just contact <GAME COMPANY> to make them send one, or am I shit out of luck?
>>70424275Go back to r/psionicplane redditfag
>>70426389They should, if not mind absorbers are great and cheap price wise. (Being a cube with tentacles and all). As an aside this setting sounds rad as fuck.
>>70426553>mind absorbers are great and cheap price wiseWell I have shit luck in finding a good seller, all those in my area are only selling 2nd Edition Brain Munchers that I guess can be used as a "count as" Mind Absorber, seeing as the only difference is that the Brain Muncher is a triangle with tentacles instead of a cube
>>70426631Don't forget you can get a few slap them together and create a Tendril beast.
>The Remnants canonically died out in a last stand agaisnt the PsychoteksIs there anything more bullshit than this? Their entire shtick at first was military remnants using hordes of robots to let the humans deal real damage, then they winded up being pirates using single human controllers with squads of robots, and now they all wound up staying at their base and fighting to the last?Seriously? Not one division saved their skin?Bullshit.
>>70426706Remnants can be taken as a side faction by KUB, Akuntamins and psychopomps last I knew. Part of the paring down factions.
>>70426706You call their elimination as a faction bullshit, but if the alternative for them was this>being pirates using single human controllers with squads of robots, bullshit, then I'd rather keep them either exinct or a side-faction alongside the Pulsating Shock and Psychoteks
>>70425478>Doesn't help KUB had started to form around then as ironically an anti psion movement.Yeah, but then someone decided to give Kertyrn a bullshit broken level of Presence justified by nothing other than his thirst for revenge, whatever that's supposed to mean. Apparently it's not enough that he gets FOUR ranks of Eternal Rampage.
>>70426756They removed them as an option for the Akuntamins, but you're otherwise correct. Granted that they aren't really all that strong overall, otherwise the Psychopomps would be in a better position.
>>70409649130 points would be about 90% cost efficient for his raw stats alone, ignoring all his ridiculously overpowered character traits.
>>70426901Well I liked the robot-pirates.They were neat looking.
>>70426968He's just so angry. Doesn't help he's basically a giant angry robot crab these days.
>>70427178A giant robot crab that gets the chance to Great Cleave through all of your shit four times a game. And he will.
>>70427234He also can't Gestalt which hinders his build so bad. Yeah he's a beast but without gestalt he's cut off from support. You cant even use a Synapse Command on him as he's a character.
Why is Bjorn Bjorken so broken? He gets a 10+ at everything!
>>70427448Joke character with little actual applicability. Yeah, he's strong as a duelist, but he's slow and doesn't get access to the game's best techs.
>>70427448Because he can't do anything more than get in melee and then waste the other leader's time until it gets lobotomized/cannibalizzare/scared away/repulsed away by the opponent.
>>70427723have you forgotten about his experimental substance rule? If he is killed he will automatically return with half his wounds, and dealing 2d6 damage on everything within 3 tiles of him
>>70427723I've seen him causally rip a Righteous Whirlwind dancer in half. What you want him to do is force him murder your Basic Units and keep your Leaders way the fuck away from him.
>>70427815Which isn't hard as he lacks range and has lackluster psy wise. Yeah he meats like a tank against material foes but unless you shunt him with something like the Devils Grasp he can't do shit against anything with decent psi power.
>>70427755No, I haven't forgotten. The problem is that it's pretty pointless because it applies only if it dies in melee in the Material Plane, and most leaders that would engage him there already have a ranged weapon.>>70427815X to Doubt.
>that feel when you run a Synapse KUB build.>that feel when local Psypomp player thinks he can steam roll you as you dont have any offensive psy.>that feel when he doesn't realize Synapse is all Psy denial and I rip his leader to the material and proceed to shred him with a war crawler and Garg swarm. synapse isn't good for much but it is good at what it does.
>>70400034Yeah man, it's been like 17 seasons and Alan's still there. At the beginning his mechanics were quite interesting but now it's just balderdash.Unrelatedly, what were they thinking when they released Balder's Dash card?
>>70428964A unit named balder for one.
>>70409649With 1500 points avaible, how's that top expensive?
>>70430887Cause thats base before stupid high priced gear.
>Summons twenty asuras in one turn>"Lmao Deavas aren't broken bro"The Sigil bearers point cost is too fucking low.
>>70431429>Uses Palenque's Lobotomy./>Uses Unnerving Chant/>Uses Instill Fear/>Uses Jin-Liao's Fracture/>Uses Erease Knowledge/>Uses Trauma SurgeNothing personell kidd.Seriously though, Sigil Bearers have potential to summon infien asuras, but they pretty much can't because their Ki is too low.
>>70404022Sea-Seers are mentioned from time to time (like the second book of >>70405357 ) and the models have rules in the Akuntamin book of all the places. Apparently their Oracle was married to Vamr or something, it has been long time I read the Akun fluff. But no releases in a long time. It is just a matter of time they are fatcutted for good. Although basic consept was cool, this anon at least has always hated their summons. About time we got rid of them. Do you remember the "Merdog" model release? How much they were mocked on /tg? the UBMAMUBLA memes were a bit too tough and at least the grinning merdog figure was cute
>>70431429Yeah but they're tissue paper to any decent screen
