First thread: >>62669954Second thread: >>62760862Third creation thread for the Craftworld of Draigh-Nahl, the residents of which are Vaul worshiping craftsmen with a preference for artillery, armour, heavy weaponry, and traps. The craftworld itself is built around a pre fall Eldar "pleasure craft" that the ancestors of the Draigh-Nahl, slave labourers and artisans, used to escape their masters during the Fall.
>>62827250Cool. So we were talki ng about the Brazen Bulls Aspect Shrine and if they should be using custom Tanks or just supped up Falcon Chassis designs.Like would they be like Pask where you attach them to a tank and get better pilots or would they be really good tanks with really good pilots? The Shining Spears don't seem to use jetbikes any better than normal Eldar, they're just that good.
>>62827250>the residents of which are Vaul worshiping craftsmen with a preference for artillery, armour, heavy weaponry, and trapsI was in the first thread and I'm glad this is still going, good work but weren't they more about stealth?
>>62827401They are. They've been hiding for millennia and use Rangers and Striking Scorpions as their 'basic' troops. They're used to scout, flank, herd and sabotage enemy forces either on or out of the Craftworld/Solar System.
>>62827401SS and Rangers somewhere in the backround:>He... hey guys remember us?
>>62827478We have a bit of fluff on them. And we haven't forgotten them, don't worry. We still like you guys, especially the Penal Legion Aspect Warriors.
>>62827478But for real though they have't been forgotten the focus is right now on some Driag-Nahl specific aspect shrines like the Doom slayers (Penal legion mini Khains that are punished by turning them into mindless berserkers with greatswords and throw them into battle) and the Brazen Bulls ( Eldar Greasers during peace times but who kinda turn into a hive mind when they get into the tank during a fight).oh and the rune for the craftworld and is being drawn by an awesome drawfag
>>62827401We've kinda evolved past being a purely stealth craftworld. They honestly operate more using modern combined arms tactics, but there is a strong recon element that cooperates with overwhelming fire power. Also, it just fits with the Noldor forge master thing better. >>62827304If that's the case, having them be Fire Prisms would be cool, maybe have rules about using the Prism Canon as a melee lance?
>>62827586Use it as a melee weapon? Not sure if rules like that exist. It'd just be a charge/ram roll refluffed. or do you mean it turns into a energy blade like the Zeta Gundam's beam rifle? And true on the Combined Arms. At first glance it isn't apparent but after some squinting it becomes clear.
Should the Doom Slayers have a PL? Because I like the idea of an Eldar/student of Asurmen who became so enraged by the status of the Eldar and just raging against it all and becoming lost to it all. Asurmen and the others were ashamed/saddened by what happened to them and decided to send them off into theWarp/Webway to fight at their hearts content. Imagine them popping up at Cadia during the fall:>Khorne forces running roughshod over defenders>About to fully break through when suddenly something happens>They srat to turn inwards do to 8Something8 killing them wholesale>It's the DS PL butchering them by the thousands and causing the Khornates to abandon the mission to fight this monster because they're Khornates and that's what they won't to do
>>62827744I don't know I mean it's a punishment and that guy pretty much experiences the same hatred that Khaine felt for the Eldar when he wanted to kill them all and he is armed and a PL.What would stop that guy from turning around and just butchering every DN Eldar that the PL can find until he is put down?It just sounds like a really bad idea for the DN to even think about using that guy at all.
>>62827744They already do

>>62828872Get the Scorpions!
>>62827744>>62827835Looking back, maybe they shouldn't have a PL. He may be *Too* dangerous. Being a PL with all of Khaine's hate fro the Eldar and few of the drawbacks is pretty terrifying. But part of the fluff was he was launched int othe Warp to busy him, but that may be very dangerous given daemon possession.
>>62829729See >>62827957 the DS PL isn't trapped in the warp with the Daemons, the daemons are trapped in the warp with him
>>62829865So he's Eldar Kaldor Driago?
>>62829899now it's ruined
>>62829899No, Kal Draigo is the Astartes Doom Slayer Pheonix Lord
>>62829945Sorry. First thing that popped into my mind.>>62829981True. He'd be the first by over 10,000 years.
I think we now know where the Warp Spider PL has been all along. They've been following the Doom Slayer PL around in the Warp and shunting them in and out every now and again to help the Eldar, and getting them back to prevent them from killing too many Eldar after killing Daemons/Marines etc.
>>62830141What if the DS PL is actually dead, and his armour is lost/locked away, to prevent any other Doom Slayer from picking it up and becoming the Pheonix Lord? He could have gotten into the warp but was spat out dead, hell maybe even Trayzn or some Rogue Trader has it
>>62830182That can work. I imagine there is a prophesy where someone dons it as part of the End Times when shit gets real bad.
The new rune, btw

>>62837234We've alredy rolled up the Fallen Masters. Why not the Allies now? What we rolled fit more the masters than our allies.
So our allies are the ragtag group of various species right? DEldar, Humans, Sslyth and the like all working together somehow despite the inherent issues involved. Maybe even are ruled by a council representing each group involved.
>>62837749>>62837580From what was played with last thread, the foundations of the Kabal are in the Fallen Master's blood sports, gladiators and the like who weren't able to flee with the craftsmen
Rolled 1 (1d10)>>62837580Starting the rolls using Kabal Table at https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Dark_Eldar_Kabal_Creation_Tables. First roll is for Archon since we already decided that they were Pre-Fall like our allies.
Rolled 7, 2 = 9 (2d10)>>62839323We've got member of Pre-fall Nobility. Decent start. Rolling for personality.
Rolled 1 (1d8)>>62839336Fuelled by Hatred, and Calculating. Hmmm. Time for Demeanour Roll.
Rolled 4 (1d8)>>62839367>Swift As The Wind - Faster raiders even than other DE. They'll have the skin off your body faster than you can scream in torturous agony. So far it's looking like speedy bois that hate everything and actually think about risks. LEt's see that flaw.
Rolled 8 (1d10)>>62839420>Eye to Eye - The Kabal finds pleasure only in the slaughter of hand-to-hand combat.Likes to get up close and personal, probably to see the last bit of life leave their eyes. Rolling for territory.
Rolled 57 (1d100)>>62839473>Non-Eldar Xenos camp.Rolling for condition of said camp.
>>62839323I thought we already rolled for allies? Also, thoughts on Fallen Masters as Chaos Eldar? The original planet is a Crone World after all
Rolled 10 (1d10)>>62839546We had rolled our allies list in previous threads, so this was for the bitter enemies. I.e., the DEldar we would rather jump into the maw of She Who Thirsts than have anything to do with. Probably could chuck in the age of the kabal though in case they were completely un-related to the allied one though.
Rolled 5 (1d12)>>62839629Also rolling for origins, since it got missed earlier.
>>62839546Also no since the roll fitted the Fallen Master better, we decided to roll another Kabal for allies with the basic idea being them also being slave, but another kind.>>62839527>>62839473>>62839420>>62839367>>62839336I like this, this fit the idea of them being the gladiators, foot soldier and other participant of the Fallen Master Blood games (like "Hey go pilot this jet, and see how close you can get with this orbital trajectory at max speed"). They like to get close because that how they learned to fight (arena all that) and because they want to see the look of horrors in their old master eyes as they kill them. Going fast is probably a consequence of their old job in the blood games, deadly jetbike racing and shit like that.Their leader could maybe be some kind of "Noble" in the sense he was a quatermaster: a glorified slave, who despite his gift and skill could never be a true noble because he wasn't born lucky. Maybe the master/champion of the arena ? A warrior of immense skill the FM took pleasure to remind that even if he could kill them in a blink of a eye, he would forever be a pleibeian. Then he got sick of it, and when the Fall happened, he took command of the rattag group of survivor, gladiator, xenos servitor/pet, ... and revolted. Halas, unable to join with the Yatch, they had to seek refuge in the Webway.
>>62839694>Fallen Craftworld/Exodite/Corsair Eldar Technically this can work, but maybe we came into power by merging with another Kabal?>>62839527>Warpbeast-infested Nasty.
Rolled 5 (1d10)>>62839723Alright, so with the rolls in the correct order and shit, we currently have>>62839629>Remnants of a Noble House (more than 5,000 years old)>>62839323>Pre-Fall Nobility>>62839336>Calculating and Fueled By Hatred>>62839694>Fallen Craftworld/Exodite/Corsair Eldar >>62839367>Swift As The Wind - Faster raiders even than other DE. >>62839845>Performance Art: Speed >Jetbikes>Eye to EyeIt fits
>>62839836If it's Fallen Craftworld, maybe it could be one of the Doom Slayer aspects that went off the deep end early in the building stages? Got a little too kill-happy, and fucked off into Commorragh to go after the masters, and changed while they were there.
Rolled 40 (1d100)>>62839845>Performance Art: Speed >>62839874It is pretty fitting so far. Looking pretty interesting. Rollan for them resources.
>>62839898>AnchorageWhat is this ? Sorry for being retarded, english is not my mother language.
Rolled 6 (1d10)>>62839898>21-50 AnchorageLooks like they have a firm place to launch all their raids from. Rolling for signature weapons.
>>62839723I still like the multiracial boss council. A renegade, and likely insane Marine, having human fighters rally behind him, a Kroot beastmaster, an Archon taskmaster running the schola glatoria and driving the war engine for profit and glory, a Hru'ud spymaster and event promoter, maybe even a former Draigh Nahl forge master working as quarter master and master at arms.
Rolled 11 (1d12)>>62839947>6 Mandrake herdersSo we've got a whole bunch of shadow nerds to herd the plebs and victims towards where glorious master race gladiators can cut them down. Nice.Rolling for the goals, since we kind of established that they have ties towards the old Craftworld for "allies", and the old House for the bitter rivalries.

>>62840330I think we can mix and match a bit between this and >>62839845 >>62840140>>62840514I was leaning on the idea of a fighting ringThought to Chaos Fallen Masters? Call the "Kabal" the Risen Masters
>>62840568Risen Masters could work. But how are they not having all the Kabals crash on their head for being Chaos?
>>62840739Because they're holed up in a crone world and it would be like assaulting a Marine homeworld? It would be a fucking slog to siege, much less take or destroy. That, and they basically the second the gig is up, they escape the to the webway until the Laughing God pushes them out into the Warp like a splinter
>>62840955Why should they have stayed on the Croneworld?Everyone else fleed that place and the masters only survived because they went in the webway to maybe party/ genocide /rape/ experiment/ whatever horrible thing one can imagine they would do in there. Why should they stay in that Isha forsaken place that will most likely murder them and take theire souls into Slaanesh hell? And why would they be chaos Eldar they are demented and sadistic but not stupid and gamble theire own soul away? Most Drukhari rather stay hidden when they notice that chaos forces are arriving so why should they not do the same?
>>62841415I have to concur. The Chaos Eldar idea is rather foolish. They should straddle the line while thinking themselves better than everyoneThey're a bunch of sadistic hedonists that steal everything nailed down, including the nails. And they're hypocrites that live in self denial about their situation.
>>62841558>>62841415First off, Chaos Eldar are canon, even to 8th Edition. Secondly, why would they stay on world? Because its *theirs* it's all *theirs*. Why should they give it up? It belongs to them, and so does Draigh-Nahl, so does the motley crew of sell swords. Theirs, theirs, theirs. It was theirs when the Eldar spanned the stars, and it will be theirs when those stars die out. As for Slaanesh, the same logic applies. Slaanesh is *their* child, and they're very supportive parents
>>62841664I find the idea better of them being a bunch of snobs in rags who are all high and mighty but secretly empty your fridge when you invite them over and when you ask them where your food went will they most likely direct you to someone that they wanna see suffer or who can beat you easily up and while that is happening are they stealing the everything else from both people that they have tricked.
>>62841784For our friends or allies? Either way the analogy doesn't scan
>>62841945the enemys I mean it would fit. They are insane and yet they have survived even with all the backstabbing. They are poor but they still think that they are the most important people in the galaxy. They are thieves and backstabbers which means that even if you help them will they kill you out of greed because that is most likely regular business in that mixed race Kabal.Whoever that Archon is he must be a high functioning psychopath who even if he is insane must be some brilliant puppet master if he wasn't killed off yet.
I guess my rationale for having the Fallen/Risen Masters be Crone World Chaos Eldar is that it makes them the worst thing an Eldar could possibly become, it underlines just how insane the conditions were for the slaves, that the birth of Slaanesh was a positive development for their masters, that stuffing yourself into a haunted cenobite cruise ship was a better option, or becoming a mad bloodsportsman that cavorts with lesser races was a clear improvement. It also makes them an intense spiritual threat. Not only do they have in their mindslegal rights over your traditions and being, but they want your very soul, to deny you afterlife and use you up even in death. That's as scary as it gets

>>62842111The Idea could be combined how about this. The Masters do not rule the Kabal they are the scavengers for some renegade Human or Marine war lord who has connections to some chaos warbands and even some of the followers of Slaanesh. They defeated the nobles and made them theire bitches and make them do the dirty work ( stealing, terror tactics to soften up the enemys, catching enemy bullets for the Renegates)And if they don't follow will they contact some friends of them that will gladly take them to a place where they can be sacrificed to Slaanesh. The Archon who might be a raving lunatic is not dumb and knows he is in a bad position. He makes sure to make the Renegates pay by killing them "accidentaly" during a battle and then saying it was some random enemy soldier or assassin in fact does he encourage his soldiers to backstab renegates if they can get away with it.And now did they find out that the former slaves are alive and well and they have lot's of weapons, the pleasure ship is also there which is also a valuable asset, even the gladiators have survived and they are still very good in combat. And so is the Archon planning on betraying the warlord by trying to convince him to attack the craftworld and the other Kabal telling him that it would be a glorious sacrifice to the dark gods and of course would he find some bullshit way to hold his troops out of the battles. And then when all sides are weakend would the Archon step out of the shadows to kill or enslave them all and take over the craftworld as his new Croneworld and the terror from the past would begin anew but only worseThis is tied in with the Iron Warriors invasion because the Warlord may also have some good connections with those and the IW got the same story that the warlord got but both didn't know how good the defenses still where because they knew the Craftworld had suffered a tyranid invasion which lead to Kaz'Tuns miserable invasion.
>>62842917>The Idea could be combined how about this.>The Masters do not rule the Kabal they are the scavengers for some renegade Human or Marine war lord who has connections to some chaos warbands and even some of the followers of Slaanesh.I see no reason why the masters would work with a lesser race, to say the least *serve* mon'keigh. The idea collapses here. They remember when humanity just got off Earth, like that's in their living memory. There's no way they'd serveunder them, no matter how destitute they became. The rest becomes a winding plot, which isn't to my taste but doesn't mean it's bad. As for the Iron Warriors being linked, that feels very contrived. Just have them be an effect of the Heresy, and leave it at that. I think it would make more sense for the Masters to rediscover DN through the genetic memory of the Tyranids. They accidentally enough daemons that the Masters may have been wrapped up in that, or Daemons sent it out through the grape vine
>>62843370Atlas Hive-Fleet OP here, so what you propose is that the Fallen Master followed the Nids who themselve followed the Demon to DN ? That's...*insert bunny hill theme*
>>62843540*Hecate, especially considering the context. I think a Master haemonculus was picking through DNA after a jaunt through the warp that was ended abruptly by a dumbass fat worm, and to his shock discovered markers belonging to eldar, and crystalline structures analogous to Wraithbone. Given a little astronomical research, they follow the trail of breadcrumbs to their stolen ship. Surprise, surprise, the slaves made it to freedom.
>>62843370oh well not everything can be a good idea maybe we stick for the time with the chaos Eldar but >>62843654That here could have potential
>>62843654(I don't know last thread ended with people arguing over the name, and since they was almost no one posting I didn't make a continuation thread). Why whould they have eldar DNA tough ? The nids invading DN got destroyed.
>>62843878Not all, obviously. It was reworked a little bit that their crystal thing was based on wraithbone, DN awoke the hibernating splinter, and the fleet purpose got reworked into breaking into the webway to revamp their travel mechanism. This is accomplished by a unique teleporting bioform, a coven of specialized Zoanthropes, and an Eldar webway gate or Infinity Circuit. This encouraged the change to Hecate, patroness of Witchcraft and the liminal goddess of crossroads and the spirit world. The newly formed Hecate and its prototype Empyreal Wurms causes a lot of warp rifts as they fine tune the thing, but eventually they get a decent 70% solution that requires a Craftworld or something to complete. Thus they're hunting DN, and might hit them twice.
>>62844159(I know I was reading the thread altough not live since I'm EU).(Should we make another thread to talk about that ? Last one didn't had a lot of sucess)
here's something i did
>>62844439This I can stand behind. Very well done Drawfag.
>>62829899No, eldar kaldor draigo would be jack in any case.
>>62844284We could just do it here. They revolve around DN and now the Fallen Masters, after all. They exist as plot devices in their story
>>62845212Except far angrier. but during the Final Battle of Time he shall achieve Zen and purge his rage, becoming far more powerful than before.
>>62845239They weren't created as such tough, they are their own thing; we just had a crossover.
>>62845319Tyranid threads never do exceptionally well. It would be more productive to discuss them here, if at all. >>62844439Hammer looks the best I think it's going to. Maybe make the sun a little less Lorge? I don't know, I'm not a graphic designer.
>>62845529That's very true on the Tyranids. They're a plot device/bug horde.
With Draig-Nahl having crashlanded on a planet, do you guys think they're colonizing the solar system?
>>62846705>>62846705I don't know if its crash landed, I'm pretty sure they just parked it in Orbit, and everyone who wanted off the miserable horror cruise did.To that point, I think they're too dorfish to really give a fuck. Dig in, lay traps and artillery batteries, and dig into your work where no one can bother you
>>62846804That works. I think DN is pretty fleshed out in all honesty. We got much of it covered :>Customs/Culture>Military>Conflicts>Backstory>Characters
>>62846953I think there's some holes, like the name of the planet. If you, or someone else with Wiki skills, can build the outline of the page I can start filling it out
>>62848361I think we cam up with something like Vaul's Rest. Or something to that effect, I can't seem to find it.
>>62848443But in Eldar. Slavhreenur means Salvation, so maybe a corruption of that is Vaulavhreenur? I was thinking Fír-Vaulthaan as a name.
>>62849249The salvation of Vaul. Vauls rest. The home given to us by vaul.I'm leaning more to Fír-Vaulthaan, it rolls off the tongue nicely
>>62849590It's settled then.
>>62849641So would the planetside Eldar be considered Exodites? Would they have Megadons?
>>62850393No. Why would they? They're not likely to given their culture, I doubt they'd give it all up to play around as Amish.
>>62850416Fair, I suppose I was looking for an excuse to have dinosaurs and sylvaneth models. Do you think they would share space with their DEldar fellows?

>Aspect Warriors: Doom Slayers>Striking Scorpions embody the sudden and final wrath of Khaine, Howling Banshees are portents of death and doom, Dark Reapers exemplify Khaine as the Destroyer, but there is no Aspect Shrine that emulates Khaine as the God that once was poised to slay of the Eldar, or was cursed with a hand of blood, than the Doom Slayers. What the Scorpions and Banshees do with stealth, the Slayers do in a inexorable blaze of fury, what the Reapers do from afar the Slayers do with the clashing of blades and rains of carnage. The Doom Slayers are unstoppable frontline warriors, nearly completely divorced from ranged combat and wholly dedicated to literally carving paths through the battlefield. Extraordinarily hardy and strong, the Doom Slayers are used as the tip of the spear, accompanying cavalry or providing distraction for other forerunning elements such as Rangers. The tools of their trade are oversized swords and axes, with the Exarchs able to wield mighty Doomklaives, bladed polearms that can fire gouts of flame from flamers about the hilt>Feared and reviled, the path of the Doom Slayer teeters perilously on the knife edge of overwhelming emotion and falling to darkness almost more than the Striking Scorpions, the warriors announcing their arrival to the battlefield with sky shaking proclaimations of war and bathing in the blood and ichor of the fallen. Many conflate the shrine wholesale with the Incubi shrines, but the greatest difference is the hidden ethos of the Aspect, and the path that Exarches take on the road to mastery. It is true that the Shrine is modeled after Khaine, bringer of extinction, slayer of Eldanesh, and in this they are indiscriminate killers when engaged in battle, given a broad breadth by allied forces. But generally, the Aspect takes an alternate interpretation of Khaines punishment. Many prescribe pride to Khaine in relation to his bloody hand but most Slayers see it as a mark of shame, a reminder of a wasted life
>>62853001>Early Slayers will revel in their roles as the mindless murderer of Khaine, perilously close to the Incubi, but as they are hardened in battle and mature, the lessons of the shrine evolve, and they model themselves after Khaine, the penitent warrior. Exarches strive to become the most complete warrior, a force of nature that can simply delete life before them, remove it like a candle in the wind, snuffed out by will alone. But as Khaine railed against She Who Thirsts, they do in service of the Aeldari. Exarches purge themselves of emotions, divorcing themselves of their former rage and battlelust, all in an effort to become pure, resolute, the last line of defense against Slaanesh. The Exarches understand that they prosecute a war against the enemies of the Eldar in penance for the murder of Eldanesh, and the failure against Slaanesh. The Aspect is as much an avatar of Khaine as a force of extinction as they are his bloody hand, his mark of shame.>Those that know this hidden nuance in a shrine of things seemingly little better than Dark Eldar are more willing to believe the lesser known story of their lost Pheonix Lord. Known simply as the Harbinger, or the Red Ruin, the Phoenix Lord of the Doom Slayers was a disciple of Arhra, a warrior lost in his own rage and wanton destruction. It is said that the Path of the Warrior gave him clarity, and he began to see the shape of a true warrior in the way of an Aspect. The history blurs, but it is known that whatever made the Fallen Pheonix fallen caused a schism within the Harbinger. Many attribute the loss of history to an endless rampage he launched in his anger, destroying his craftworld in reckless anger and sending himself into the warp to fight for all eternity, trapped in the Palace of Slaanesh.
>>62853177>Other, more informed individuals subscribe to the theory that he is in mediation in some far flung corner of the galaxy, contemplating his Duality and the nature of the true warrior, considering the value as his symbol of genocide and that the erasure of all sapient life will ultimately slay Slaanesh, but weighing that against his being as a symbol of Khaine's penance. Most shrines subscribe to this theory, but largely disagree on what should be done. Some maintain that he should be left to his mediation, and that each slayer must undergo their journey of bloodshed, awakening, penance, and duty until the Harbinger reaches true enlightenment and shows his disciples the way of the true warrior. Others maintain that he is waiting for a worthy Slayer to find him and take the mantle for themselves, becoming Pheonix Lord. Many train to this end to become strong of will enough to take control and take the fight to Slaanesh. It is a point of theological and philosophical debate amongst shrines, but most Eldar are more than happy to let the Harbinger to be the lost to time.>The Doom Slayer panoply is that of Khaine, sharing much of their image with the Avatar of their craftworld.

>>62855753Still need to figure out the Brazen Bulls
>>62856509>Aspect Warriors: Brazen Bulls>Originating from their Phoenix Lord on the Craftworld of Saim-Hahn, the Brazen Bulls are among the least subtle of the Aspect Shrines. They are among the few Shrines focused upon vehicular combat alongside the Shining Spears and Crimson Hunters. Whereas the Spear focus on Knightly Gallantry upon their Jetbike steeds, flitting to and fro to deliver a crushing, routing blow to break the enemy, and the Hunters in holding mastery over the skies and void to provide cover and protection for their fellow Aeldari, the Bulls take the role of a Bull crushing the enemy and holding ground, daring all comers to step forth and be gored upon their horns. Using enhanced or custom Tanks, they exemplify the best of Aeldari Tank mastery, none can compare even their originators on Saim-Hahn can not hope to equal them. >Despite this skill, the Bulls are still rather rare outside of their Shrines, which tend to be few upon each Craftworld or Exodite world. This is due to the fact they have brought their Phoenix Lord's origins of Saim-Hahn with them acting as if a conclave of the wild riders. Many see them off the battle field causing ruckus and disruptions to daily life, becoming a ni=uisance at the worst of times. Loud, crass and toeing the lines of orderly and chaos, they ar mostly tolerated outside of Saim-Hahn, where they hold numerous Shrines, for their skill and fervor once they are in battle within their Tanks.>Once situated within, theBulls work in conjunction as Crews with an almost Hive Mind like level of coordination. The operate with little interuptions and their previuos attitudes cannot be found anywhere. They seek only the complete eradication of their foes whether by blasting them with guns, or trampling them under their grav plates.Need to get to work, won't be able to post due to IP Ban. See ya'll later
>>62857619Looks breddy good. What do you think of an aspect that makes weapons as psychic constructs?
>>62855748That would be sweet, they basically look like mini avatars
>>62827250When you consider that sailors used to engage in sex with Manatees it's understandable why anthropomorphs would feel the need to cover up around other species.
>>62844439Pull the sun burst in tighter around the head of the hammer. There's a lot of negative space that doesn't need to be there.
>>62853001So they've got the Eldar versions of the Velatris power axes and falax blades right?
>>62862225I was thinking more like Incubi klaives, or straight downsized Avatar weapons, with Exarchs with fire spitting spears. All two handed bash sticks. Unless those weapons do something specialhttps://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Namarti-Thralls-2018https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Dark-Elves-Har-Ganeth-Executionershttps://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Eldar-Wraithblades-2017https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/High-Elf-Swordmasters-of-Hoeth
>>62863146incubi klaives are so aesthetic
>>62864756>>62863146Indeed. And I'm back>>62857619Going to write up a bit more in a bit
>>62857619>The Brazen Bulls skill in tank warfare is attributed to their nigh perfect unity in combat between crew members. Each tank crew acts as if one with no loss of economy or hesitance to their actions. What the sensor operater notices, all do. What the pilot does in control, all do. It is said that the crews of the Brazen Bulls can work so seemless ly that they do not even turn on their tanks gyroscopes and autolevelers to make pinpoint accurate strike into the enemy ranks. >Those that have delved too deep into their war mask become Exarchs, losing any sense of their former personalities. But in exchange they become seconf only to their Phoenix Lord when at the helm of their tank, acting as the command node and directing the crews efforts with perfect harmony. The ranks of the Bulls Exarchs are oddly low, for the Bulls themselves are free spirits and see the loss of oneself to the path of the Warrior as a grave sin to themselves. They work tirelessly to prevent those from falling into their War masks as much as possible, for to not enjoy life is a horror few can fathom.
>>62863146I feel like big two handed swords like that are too closely associated with incubi. I understand they’re supposed to be similar enough to invite comparison, but having them be armed nearly identically seems a step too far.
>>62865853>>62865853Less big cleaver bois and more like the great swords that the Sword masters of Hoeth have. It's a big enough aesthetic and technique change that I think we're good.
>>62867153Yep. This is the sort of pic their pose should be.
>>62865698Would it make more sense for the Pheonix lord to simply *be* the tank? Maybe Exarch crews never leave it as they become one person?
>>62869223...How come I never thought of that? It's brilliant, the PL just ups and leaves a Eldar body for a tank, it's so obvious. It's brilliant. ANd it fits with the PL gathering souls to become more powerful. Forget my previous ideas of what the BB PL looks like this is better.
>>62869273As you progress along the Path you shift from basically anime tier twins, where you finish each others sentences, etc, then you transition to becoming a single entity, with the tank being your real person, the gunner and pilot simply organs of the the larger apparatus. For the Pheonix lord, you become the tank itself, the bodies simply keys to ignite the engines of the Pheonix Lord once more.
>>62870961This'd make PL reunions awkward. I remember the theory the Shining Spear PL was fused to their jetbike like a centaur.
>>62871076>Assembled Pheonix Lords usher the Exarch pair into the Pheonix Lord chassis, abandoning their old hull. >As they climb in, their eyes alight and their twin body goes limp, the soul of the former Exarch ripped out into the tank, and the grevious battle damage that sent the Pheonix Lord out of commission slowly heals>"WHO AWAKENS FAENRION," bellows the tank, the bodies in the gunner and pilot seat shaking their fists in union, "I WAS DREAMING OF HARLEQUINS. TWINS THEY WERE."
>>62871343>As Faenrion begins to bemoan his fate, Asurmen speaks, "Faenrion. The Seers foretell that the Harbinger shall return, the Rhana Dandra approaches.">Faenrion stops, "You should have said that in the first place Master."
>>62874706>>62876579Thanks.>Faenrion enjoys making a spectacle while fighting. Flying perilously close between collapsing buildings, making impossible shots off of mirrors with his lasers and more denote his appearances on the battlefield.>He will fight as he wishes with little heed to allied Autarchs but will take heed from other PL and will follow commands from Asurmen to the letter and spirit. >His tank can also act as a very roomy transport thanks to spatial manipulation technologies, many note the space being comparable to around 3 Falcons minimum.
>>62870961So in other words it's kinda like how a titan or a Freeblade pilot if they have to stay in the machine for a long time and then slowly starts to believe that the titan or the knight is the pilots body and everything else is just part of the god machines inner workings only that in the case of the BB PL that the entire crew becomes the tank.
>>62878267It's a lot like that, except it isn't a psychological quirk. Their soul literally becomes one with the tank, and the crew gets lost in the psychic amalgam. Effectively they are just parts of the tank, which is a singular organism. With the PL you aren't the tank, but the Pheonix Lord. Who is the tank.Might this be easier with single pilot tank?
>>62878267>>62876769Something like this, maybe? It has two horns, after all
Anything new on our friends and allies? Or enemies?
>>62881256Not really it's atrocious at work so I can't really post
>>62881256Supposedly our ally have a Xeno-Camp for place to hang out, and since they are focussed on on glorious CC at high speed, why not make those Xeno Sslyth ? They are mercenary so that fit the whole "Bunch of gladiators and missfit ganging up for sweet sweet revenge and glorious battle".Also Sslyth are fucking rad and them being a significant part of the Kabal troops would be awesome.
>>62882083This might sound crazy, but I had a planet set up for my Genestealer Cult, its basically a gladiator/mining planet that takes in criminals from around the planet and puts them to work in giant bored out holes in the crust, strip mining. Either that, or they are put to the gladiator pits. The cult is actually the ruling house of the planet, so they basically do what they want. They export gladiators as guards for the other planet rulership, but they go on and make cults of their own, which raze hell and get arrested, and get sent back to the gladiator planet to mine and fight, to prove their worth to the cult, and ultimately the Hive Mind. This circular ecosystem serves to create the best fighters, so when the hive comes, only the best warriors will be available. I can imagine the Genestealers let's the kabal crash to offload prisoners and slaves, and to fight in their pits.
>>62882466>>62882083Either way, I think a motley crew is fun. The Archon basically a foppish Debauched Roman Emperor type figure that is deceptively competent at managing his Kabal and warfare despite his profligate and extravagant nature, a no nonsense Ssylth with neural implants acting as head of the schola glatoria that trains and maintains the fighters, a Hrud promoter, ambassador and accountant, a wizened Kroot beastmaster in charge of the schola bestiarum, and a half mad renegade Marine who cares more about killing than he does who he associates, probably a Blood Angel successor who came out the other side of the Black Rage, but unlike Lemartes or Mephiston, his mind is irrevocably broken. Maybe he thinks the Archon his Horus, or Guiliman, and that's why he works with the Kabal, an everyone is too scared to correct him
>>62883258The Marine I really like. He was picked up along as a slave during an attack on his homeworld and he fell to the Rage. The Archon took a liking to him and decided to keep him around. He's kitted out with some of the best gear making his Rage induced prowess far more terrifying. Their is likely some renegade marines who joined up due to how the Kabal recruits, whether they are simply mercenraies or they wholly believe in the Kabal's party line is up to interpretation by each one. They are highly competent heavy infantry when such things are required and help when dealing with other renegade marines/human elemetns.Would they have some regular humans along with them? Maybe a Rogue Trader who acts as a black market guy?
>>62883454Why do I have that mental image of an ancient Blood Angels successor Dreadnought now as the leader of the renegade marine group in my mind?Would that even work having some deranged venerable Dreadnought as a leader for them?
>>62883512Of course it would. He's too crazy, powerful and well liked for the others to betray. Even the other Council members like him for how utterly insane and a murder monster he is.
>>62845529>>62845608>Tfw nobody want to give the Nids any depthI'm kinda sad they removed a lot of the ambiguous mystery about the Nids they had in earlier times. Like to make them more than "They eat and just eat and that's all there is to it ! Now go loose against our named marine"Like yeah they eat everything, but why ? To survive and evolve with new DNA ? Because they need it to GTFO of range of some other entity ? What are they, where do they come from ; does they plan something or is their hunger all there is to them. They could be utterly Lovecraftian entity (and not in the Chaos sens, because Chaos IS understable, Chaos care about the galaxy; they are just distorted and insane) with apparently comprehensible objectives (eat everything) but nebulous or impossible to understand motive ; seemingly not even hatefull, simply indifferent.A unreasoned hunger, united by a godlike Hive-mind with alien reasoning.
>>62883604>well likedThat is not how you spell pants shittingly afraid that when he might think that they are fucking with him that he will crush them like a bug.And the situation in the council is like the one in greek mythology when Hera, Athena and Poseidon tried to dethrone Zeus but he had the Hecatoncheires Briareos sat next to him as his bodyguard and who was so mighty that even those three gods didn't dare to do anything against Zeus while he was around.
>>62883880>Implying he is not insane enough to believe he is still in the Great Crusade/Horus Heresy and that the other member of the council are his fellow Grand Compagny Capitain>AH BROTHER A GREAT DAY -while speaking to a slightly confused Hrud-WHAT WORLD SHOULD WE ASSAIL TODAY IN THE EMPEROR NAME ?PERHAPS SHOULD WE GO IN "RECRUITEMENT RAID" OUR "SERF" NUMBER SEEMS QUITE LOWHell to stick to the "REVENGE !" theme of the Kabal maybe he believe the Fallen master are a traitor legion or some shit like that, fueling his infinite hatred for them. That and greatly confusing them when he start crushing Fallen master noble while screaming about "TRAITOR TO THE GOLDEN THRONE ! YOU WILL DIE AS WEAKLING: WEEPING, SHAMEFULL AND HONOURLESS !"
>>62883880>>62883604>>62883512>>62883454I actually did have a marine in mind. And I call him Maximos the Furious. Now the Sanguine Shields didnt get as fleshed out as much as I thought they could have been, and a lot of stuff that I didn't agree with made it in, but as far as /tg/ made chapters go they're alright. Macadonian Mad Max marines are pretty cool, and at least they're not the Cardinal Knights, whose chapter master has a Daemon Heart and that's just cool, or the Jaguars whose chapter master's most quotable line "FUUUUCK YOOOOOU". Now I had a plot in mind to "fix" them, where the chapter master, tired of the collar on him by shadowy masters, an heroes fighting something, maybe in the Void, maybe eldar, maybe daemons, maybe in warp transit, but he is essentially lost in battle, and the chapter is left leaderless. Unfortunately, this backfires because unbeknownst to him, the Assassin Temple extorting him had their claws in enough commanders to essentially assume command of the chapters and undid a lot of the dumb shit Aleksandar put up to reduce the chapter effectiveness to spite his hidden masters. But that's neither here nor there.Maximos was a marine trapped on a planet with a warp beast incursion with Aleksandar, and he basically went on a suicide mission to take out their queen which was causing all the trouble. One (1) epic battle later and the warp storm was cleared, and Aleksandar was able to rally the natives to clean up the planet, which won him chapter mastership. All that was left of the battle with Maximos and the beast leader was a severed arm, the power armour stripped to the ceramite, the flesh cindered. He became the spiritual founder of the chapter, and the traditions of suicidal bravery come from there. It's pretty much rumored that he went out alone because he was a dead man walking, the Black Rage taking over, so he decided to use his life as best as possible in a blaze of glory.
>>62884338Tl;dr I'm proposing Maximos the Furious never died, and was spat out into some Space Hulk or rando planet after his confrontation with the master Odontyrannus, and has survived as a nearly absent minded murder machine, and has stuck around with the kabal the longest and his sanity is slowly coming back, in a completely insane way. >>62883454I'm not sure about having other marines, humans sure, but other marines would probably try and put him out of his Black Rage induced misery and get gibbed. That and I feel it equally reduces what makes Maximos, probably just called the Interceptor in the kabal, less special, and the kabal more snowflakey than it already is.>>62883872I'm not happy with it either, GW has them in a wierd spot where they're not nebulous and ominous enough for a big spooky villian race like OldCrons, but not flavourful enough for true Your Dudeism and prevention of becoming and NPC race
>>62884074>Be me>Dracon Keiron Elrissya representative of the trueborn Kabal troops in this "council">Joined this group in hopes of ursurping the Archon and leading it on my own>Archon is known to be a crazed lunatic and known to even murder those that have been loyal to him for centurys>I thought it would be easy just murder him openly and take his place in an demonstration of my superior power>trying to do it the traditional way of assassinating him or poisoning him would only cause a power vacuum that would ruin everything>Allthough I asked myself why no one else of the others tried that because it looked so easy to do>I thought that until I saw "it" during the council meeting>A mon-keigh Wraith equivalent only this one was crude, box shaped and had two very big melee weapons on it and appeared to be rather old>It just stood there next to the Archon doing nothing while he was talking>But everytime when someone else was starting to talk or debate the Archon did he start to slowly stomp towards the one talking and stand next to the speaker watching him>Everytime it would switch positions and then was it my turn and he slowly lumbered towards me his eyeslit watching me>I started my report and it started leaning closer to me I could smell the centurys of blood on it and it weapons clicked and clacked randomly>When I got to the end of my report could I even hear it breath very loudly into my ear>I thought I could hear it mutter the word "coward" when I was done and then did it go back to the Archon>I think I should put my plans on ice for now

>>62900519>>62900386Maybe Black with bone, and scratches and dents are painted red? The more red you have the more killy you are? A truly badass warrior is mostly all red?

>>62905350>>62905806>>62906221I like it>>62904100Yeah. He needs to stand out from the rabble.
>>62906221>>62906238Let me rephrase, Drasque is the first name that I don't think needs changingAll the other options are first names
>>62905806Think I'm settling with Sindicaer Drasque, Conductor of Blades, Archon of the Crimson Band Kabal
>>62907904SD. Does he have a Super Deformed merchandise keychain of himself?
>>62911987Well now that's definitely canon
What about Zaf'far for the Sslyth Lord ? No real idea for his last name, matbe someting like>SchorchererI don't know how Zaf'far Schorcherer sound tough; I really like the first name but the last name is... eh(Those who get the reference get a virtual cookie btw)
>>62915013Does he have a talking bird on his shoulder?
>>62915435don't be ridiculous it's not a bird it's a tiny talking snek on his shoulders.
The Pentavarate of the Crimson Band Kabal>Sindicaer Drasque, Conductor of Blades, Archon of the Crimson Band Kabal>Kahch Work, Kroot Beastmaster>Zaf'far, Ssylth Master of Training>Ledger, Hrud Master of CoinWhat would they call the marine?
>>62918122Maximos the Mad>>62884684>>62916688Does it sound like Gilbert Gottfried?
>>62920170I can't decide I first thought about maybe like Miiia from monster musume because that would bring some cuteness into that gloomy place.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec83SNYf6hUBut Gilbert Gottfied Snek could bring such amazing banter.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzO5pL8GAPoAnd then I thought about the most solid of Snakes and thought that it could be awesomehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGOb1TcO-8oAnd then I remembered a truly memorable voice that would bring some snek induced nostalgiahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thbICk05yPkSo yeah I can't decide there are too many voices that could bring many amounts of lulz and awesome.
>>62920686He has different snakes with each of those voices depending on his mood and what the situation may call for. He's very protective of the Miia snake though. It has the voice of his late daughter :(
>>62920170I know, but he's off his rocker mad, likely has no idea who he is, and is only in anything approximating a leadership position because even a three quarters mad Marine far exceeds the leadership and tactical capabilities of your average Kabalite
>>62920762>The gruesome murder of his daugther by the Fallen Master is why he joined the Kabal, fullfiling the revenge theme of the Kabal.
>>62927968That can definitely work here.
>>62884641Didn't see this suggestion. I like the personal Raider with throne. Maybe it is designed with a rear hatch sort of thing where he's dropped from the back while they're flying above targets so he comes crashing and then butchering them?
>>62929233I honestly think Max should get a car. Maybe the Pentaverate has a whip that they all Wheel around in? Maximos did become a death racer, following his mad race to kill the warp beast that cast him out into the galaxy in the first place. Thus the name, Maximos the Furious. Maybe everyone calls him the Interceptor? The Fury?>>62927968I like the idea of all of the Kabal high command gather around Drasque because they've been dicked over by the Masters at some point. Drasque is the grandson of one of the original slaves, like Alandis. Zaf'far (Maybe Zas'ar? It sounds less like Jafar) had his brood and mate captured and killed by the Masters. The Kroot maybe could have had his Tau unit whipped out by them, same with the Hrud.
>>62930268>Maximos spray paints Kabalitr while driving in his car>The Kabalite's face is coated in paint>"You shall speed shiny and chrome Brother"
>>62930268>Maximos the InterceptorAka the Wraith why did he get that title?Because he's not from around here.
>>62930984I mean in a complete erasure of Maximos. Interceptor is the name of Mad Max's car, the one that gets destroyed in Fury Road. I suppose he could have gotten the name in death races on the planet Drasque bought him from
