New Unbreakable Tritons thread! Who are these guys? Late at night on the 14th OP asked /tg/ fro help fluffing out his randomly generated Guard Regiment. Here's what OP gave us:Regiment Classification: Imperial Guard Recruitment Criteria: Vat-Grown Nature of Recruitment: Elite tithe Home world: Imperial World Home World Predominant Terrain: Ocean Regiment Core Units: Shock Troopers Specialization: Drill & Discipline Loyalty Rating: Unorthodox Special Equipment: Specialized Lasgun Pattern(Sonic weaponry) Regiment Creed: For The Homeworld: This regiment's mission is to demonstrate the skill and steel of the homeworld to the rest of the Imperium Regiment Friends: Adeptus Astartes (Star Krakens) Regiment Enemies: Saharduin, T'au, Mer'orks, Deep Watchers Here's the original thread for those that wish to keep uphttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/62492676
>>62528232Music for ambience https://youtu.be/SBwk6UzFK2YPetty Officer Jage Kruen cold thank his stars that he was posted on the quiet coast for patrol duties. Nothing ever happened here, it was simply formality for there to be Some manner of defense here. The main threats came from space by the Imperial Navy. The planet of Tyneese III had broken away from the Imperium a few years ago to be rid of the shackles that oppressed them. Of course, that's what the Nobles and Politicians said. But Jage knew better, they just were tired of being interrupted in their fun and games. He didn't know what strings they pulled or the deals they made for this all to happen, but he knew there would be hell to pay. The Imperium did not look kindly to breakaways rom their grip. He could understand from where they were coming from. All they could do was brace for the coming storm and hope the punishment wasn't too severe. Left to his thoughts he took in the sound of the night air and crashing waves.
>>62528403As he took in the sight and sounds he was unaware of the storm approachin from right behind him."Sir May I take the shot? Over""Negative. We need to keep our equipment in tip top condition for possible encounters with the main force. Soap. Slit the poor fool's throat. Over"Soap, the Pods's scout slinked far too quietly for a man in powered diving armor towards the unaware rebel. With a silent unsheathing and just as quiet a swipe, the deed was done. ANd Petty Officer Jage Kruen was no longer a part of the world."Good job Soap. Okay everyone move out. We have an artillery emplacement and beach head to set up. Over"
>>62528232Quiet hereDeep WalkersThe Elite even among the well drilled and equipped Tritons. The Deep Walkers are the Grenadiers of each Regiment hand picked by the Colonel of each one to spear head assaults and protect the honor of their Regiment. While typically no better equipped than the rank and file of their Regiments, the Walkers are laden with decades of experiences and skills that make them a whole other beast. One can count of the Walkers to never ever break formation and perform feats of cunning and coordination some say to be csecond only to the Emperor's Angels or the Agents of the Officio Assassainorium. These men eat, breath and sleep discipline to hone their skills to a monomolecular edge.
>>62528641Owing to the Triton's upbringing and their homeworl'd background, it is no surprise to those in the know that they are well versed in underwater maintenance. Knowing this, the Command of the Tritons on Patéras Charybdis set up a branch of training dedicated to those that showed passion and were adept at underwater maintenance and repairs. While originally mmeant for providing assisatance to the Regiments they were attached to to look after their equipment and specialized vehicles, the Engineer Corps of the Tritons soon found another calling: Reconstruction of worlds devastated by the retaking after rebellion against the Imperium. There are many talesfrom accounts of the Triton Engineers raising bridges, repairing Dams and a host of similar work across worlds that were either retaken from rebels or worlds that lacked the resources/know how to fix the damages done by negligence or disaster.
The tritons? Yes i served with them, i was there comisar for a year and it was the worst year of my life. I was just a regular commisar, my squad died fighting for the emperor aginst the T’au. I was moved to the newest regement called in For special ops the “Howling Tempest” or just Tritons 276th. Been told they were well disaplened and didnt expect much of a work load from them, the morning of there arival i was sorely mistaken. I woke up to see there comander Otis Barto passing out thick books to the other comisars that would be fighting with the Tritons. The book was bigger than an uplifting primer and I was told that i would need to study it if I wanted any chances of an easy time with his men.

hydrodynamics, sonar understanding, armor and rebreather maintenance, and a big load about the crystaline structure of glass. All and more were in the book, these seem like things a tech preist would need to know not a commisar. I dust through the book and go to the mess hall to get an early peak at my squad, they are all eating except this guy with a big buald spot. Once they are done he eats but they have already left for the fiering range, ten minutes early might i add. I get down there and see them fireing, nothing out of the ordinary. So I introduce my self and the day goes on its way, untill im given a re breather and they all sute up in these odd sutes. I want to clearify that i was told that we were getting them for aquatic support, i thought it ment some water proofed chameras they could drive of battle subs. What I didn’t expect was a two hour fully under watter shooting practice.
Sorry for the errors im moble posting, ill be at a computer soon
What other sort of gear could these guys use? Stinger KnifeA melee weapon originally used for fending off undersea monsters that would try and kill workers that were repairing the walls of the Hives. Originally issued to workers, but since then it has fallen into usage by the Unbrakable Triton Regiments. The Stinger is a foot long blade with a single edge on one side and a jagged teeth on the opposite side for sawing things. But the most important detail is the hollow cavity that runs throughout the blade. When a trigger is pressed a shot of compressed gases shoot into the penetrated target and rapidly expands creating a bubble within them and causing immense damge to the internals.
>>62528403Youtube's down again.>>62528232Last thread, it was noted mer'orks are Dutch instead of British. What would that sound like? What's their culture like? (inb4 Ork Marienburg)
>>62529030>>62528831Adding these to the page
>>62529074AGAIN?! Why does this keep happening when ever I make a thread?
Question: On the Triton's homeworld are there any islands or appreciably large landmasses? Is there any surface traffic or is most of it underwater?
>>62529160anything above land is battered hard by storms so it would be erodid away
>>62529160Most would be underwater. It's eternally raging storm on the surface which akes above sealevel construction risky and expensive. There are likely Islands here and there but only the MerOrkz would be crazy enough to build on them
>>62529160>>62529182>>62529189"He who builds a house in a storm will only be disappointed"-Common saying on Patéras Charybdis
do bolt weapons work underwater?
>>62529256Specialized Bolts I believe, but look up Soviet Supercavitating Torpedoes for the closest thing IRL to how it'd work
Deep Strike TorpedoMost torpedoes used by the Trident and Tritons of Patéras Charybdis are like most used by similar Ocean worlds, propeller driven sonar guided. But the Deep Strike is a dual propulsion design meant for defeating not only Submarines but the monsters that lurk in the depths of Patéras Charybdis. Situated along the middle of the Torpedo are 4 nozzles at the corners which sit rocket motors. Once an assured strike is known the computer ignites the propellant and speeds up to over 200 knots.
>>62529030After shooting I was given training on how to use there wetsuits, I was also to trade in all my bolt shells for special underwater ones. The wetsuit was both more cumbersome than expected and less, i could move my limbs fine but the littlest things you do were weirdly restricted, the helmet went down to above my breast and that made reaching across my body quite difficult, i kept trying to adjust my hat out of habit and the big bolted cuffs would hit every part of me it could. Yet despite this it was somewhat comfy and i got plenty of oxygen, and under water the weight just seems to melt off. After my training i was informed by the tech priests that I would be responsible for maintaining the suits well being and making repairs in real time should an error occur, he handed me a box of incense and told me the book I was given would cover any thing I needed to know. I had paperwork to do, not much but still the administratum has to sort something, but the whole time the armor maintenance ate at the back of my mind. When I returned to my tent I went straight to the armor section of my book and spent the night on it, the next morning I had a new respect for the cog boys.
>>62529418>computerI think it'd be more Admechy if we had a servitor or suitable human being working the torpedo like a Kaiten.
>>62529502Hadn't thought of that. Seems pretty grimderp enough for the setting, though the acceleration could likely knock them out from the rocket motors.
>>62529468My lack of sleep made the next day more difficult, though the Tritons mostly took care of themselves I could see them notice as I yawned and nodded off. However i was fully awake and nerves up as I suited up and went under water, so many things can go wrong with these sites, the oxygen can be set ablaze if the supply is exposed to to much heat or is mistreated for example. If that didn't have me unnerved I was told I would be joining into practice my shots. Now I should note that I love my bolt pistol, it is my baby not only is it the sublime sound it makes when shooting or reloading but when I fire it I feel like an astartes, childish for a man of my standing I know but I digress. Shooting a bolt shell under water is very different than on land, firstly it moves much slower not a ton but enough that if a guards men was shooting I would have him spend a extra hour on the range. Next is the idea that the target can go up and down to avoid shots, when the targets started moving in all directions I found myself killing more fish than I did targets.
Captain Keel 'Patcher' Jorns300th Unbreakable Tritons Deep Walker contingent"I'll tell you youngins one thing. A 12 inch blade never loses reception"At 83 years old, Captain Jorns is the oldest member of his Regiment, and possibly the entire Unbreakable Tritons Regiments, excluding outlier cybernetics or those who work for Inquisitors/Rogue Traders.A veteran of numerous battles and many campaigns, his experience and insight has been invaluable to keeping so many alive. Is also affectionately given the nicknames Patcher and Grandpa for his amazing work in keeping equipment in tip top shape and his age.
Is 4Chan slow for everyone?
>>62529605and lastly the whole timing you develop for kick back where you need a rhythm for getting the most accurate shots out is thrown off by the thickness of water in comparison to the air, I put to little or too much effort in to moving it around and it ended up just making me feel like I was a junior comisar again. In contrast when i went to practice with my power sword, they all stuck dummies with their bayonets fine but I faced a whole new change with my sword. So if i swing it there is drag on the hilt and my arm, the blade has no such thing. But if I pull it up or to the side I have to mindful of how it's facing as the flat of the sword makes it cumbersome to pull up quickly ultimately it made my sword feel unwieldy and awkward. but after we were done and I was sore all over I sat down for so time with my quill and the papers, yet what was a decently relaxing time of the day was once again ruined as I realized how long they would be here one year at least. One year of this, forget the battles the training already brought a level of soar that I had not felt since I was a lad. do after my work was done I went to bed.
>>62529750no issues here boss
>>62529794Must be just me.Death LobsterOne of the rarest pieces of equipment available to the Tritons across the galaxy. An inhouse developed, with Mechanicus approval, Exo-Suit. Much more powerful than the standard armor available to the rank and file Triton, the Lobster is descended from heavyweight Armors meant to dealing with the heavyiest work loads during maintenance. This power also made I great for fending off Sea Monsters.
Maybe we should do some more on the Mer Orkz?
>>62529766This cycle continued for about a week, until we were sent on patrol. I knew it would be under water to make sure the T'au were not up to anything untoward, but I prayed it would be on land. The Emperor has a way of testing us it seems. so there we are swimming along the floor of the ocean, the T'au are on the other side of the ocean and for that matter other side of the planet so we don't see a thing. That is until a member points out a odd moving piece of white coral, I think its a xeno fish what ever but then I see it carrying some glass behind it. To my disappointment we go and investigate, I was ordered to give them more control in the underwater areas so I acted as a yes man to their leader (or atleast most outspoken member) Private Magellan.
>>62529931I don't know about you, but I think an Orkified Marienburg equivalent would be fucking hilarious and awesome at the same time.
>>62529963Seems Heretical if they were on Patéras Charybdis . Would they be a middle man for the Trident in their wars against eachother?
>>62530006Can someone Orkify this?A trade war is still a WAAAGH! There may not be much Choppah or Dakka but it's still a WAAAGH when you look at it correctly ya Gits!-Big Bossey Whalenikka
>>62529953We kept low and slid bellies on the sand trailing this "coral" to its location, sure enough it brings us to a big glass dome under construction. It also reveals its true form as a T'au drone, the men chuckle and switch tere guns to "Shatter" as they say. However I assert my authority and call a retreat so we can report on this unexpected xeno activity. back on the shore I inform the vox operator about it and have it sent up to brass to do with it what they will.
>>62530006More like they run a cutthroat trading business and are strangely even willing to trade goods (usually weapons) with humans on occasion... though Mer'orks don't see much difference between merchants and pirates on any day.>>62530025I'm not too good at it, but here's a quote attempt of my own."Now, you git: a good tradin' day's still a good scrap. There's always the chance a' some git coming two teef too short, or thinkin' he can get away with not payin'. Or maybe anotha' crew thinks they can cut in on yer prices- and all that's assumin' you don't run into any nasty squigs along the way. Good for me; there's always more teef at the end of the day."- Directorin' Boss Whalenikka, on the hazards of smuggling runs
Whalenikka's HarborThe former Rok of the Mer Orkz of Patéras Charybdis. The Orkz have been constantly fighting over it since they fell upon Patéras Charybdis. It was not until the rise of Whalenikka himself that any sort of unity among the Orkz was found. While this would be a problem normally, there was a silver lining to the situation: Whalenikka wanted to make money. Teef, Shiny Bitz, Shootas it mattered not, Whalenikka wanted them. But he knew that krumping whoever was needed for them would quivkly get he and his boyz krumped from existence. So Whalenikka set up shop in the Rok nthat now bore his name and began to act as a middleman between the Trident Hives. This has led t oconsiderable effort by the Tritons and PDF to eliminate Whalenikka but the scale of the Oceans make this a lost cause
Oh so we continuing this? I was going to wait till Thursday but okay.
>>62530140It is the goal of Whalenikka t oescape with his crew to outerspace so he and his crew of Boyz to ply the stars for loot>>62530176Sorry OOP I thought you were going to do it tonight. I got a little excited by the original thread. Tomorrow will have better 4Chan connection for everyone so it will be faster
>>62530176Thursday? Well I'm off thursadys so that would have been perfect. I'm going to bed soon so if the thread were to die the new thread could be made thursday
>>62530026The next day I fo through my daily routine until I get court marshiled of all things, it seems my squad has reported me for "Inadequate performance". In some cruel twist of fate I am given to a commissar from there regiment and get verbally dressed down before im subjected to test after test of knowledge and fighting skill. After all that my comisar she asks me "Do you want a flogging or a tattoo of your crimes?". I chose the tattoo thinking it would be on my wrists on my arm and wouldn't be anywhere to bother some, well I was wrong. We went I got a chunk of my hair shaved and pinned on my scalp was "For Lacking in skill and willingness to learn to fight for the Emperor, this ink has been put in to my flesh so that my crimes will weigh on me until I have redeemed myself."
>>62530232Agreed if this one goes down I'll get one up around 3 central time on Thursday. Meanwhile I'm going to make a 1d4chan Writefaggotry page. And update them in the morning.
This is good work Writeanon, very good story. I'm uploading your stuff
>>62530263Like I said man I'm getting a page up for this stuff just hold off till the morning.
>>62530287should I hold off on the story?
>>62530300If you want to go ahead I'm off to bed myself
>>62530300No you write it out and I'll get it up tomorrow. Just for now don't forget they mostly walk along the ocean floor. And their weapons are sonic.Right now I'm off to bed.
>>62530257My hat was taken and the pholicals on my head were burned of so now I have no hat and a big blue bald spot, my commanding officer told me that not only were my meals going to be cut back as punishment but I must let anyone that wants to know about it know the full details. If I had a journal at the time I think I would have just filled a page with red ink. The next day at the mess I say the guy with the bald spot and asked him about it and te stood tall looked me in the eyes and said "I ate too slow waiting the emperor's time and making squad practice less. For unintentionally sabotaging the squad I was given this shame upon my flesh, and made to eat after being shown how a meal as it should be. I am a glutton, I am grateful, I am a shame to my squad." He didn't break concentration once while giving me that line, if I could clap for him then I would. But that would be un-fitting so I sent him on his way. After the daily routine I had a devous idea, I have been giving them breathing room and letting them move at their own pace. Well i'm going to treat them like a squad of green horns, every little detail will be scrutinized, ill be passing out floggings like candy at Sanguinalis.
New writefaggotry page here! https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Unbreakable_Tritons_Writefaggotry
>>62530574Two days later and I can't find one flaw, ONE. they stand in perfect line they march on beat like clockwork, I even pulled out the wight glove and ran it across there living, the classic excuse for doling out punishments. NOT A SPECK! If I didn't have my scalp shaved and burnt I think this would have made me lose hair, instead i'll be losing sleep. Castra Balæna Submarine, I hate those words.
>>62530656The brass has made a plan for us to take that dome from the xenos, we got in to a Castra Balæna Submarine (There troop transport) and were let off a mile odd form the last know construction sight. Now I will tell you about the sub because I will not forget about it, the troop compartment is hot and humid, you can feel the water swaying the sub back and forth, I almost puked out my reduced meal, it seems it's so common they have a waste tank for it. There is a leak in them im sure, everything is damp and there is no way its supposed to be I asked my men and they just said that's how it is. Riding in the sub makes me feel like i'm being dragged around in a bottle there is this weird sloshing and dinging sound that's just around, at first its calming but combined with everything else I can't help but find it unnerving. We were told to suit up and after that the door opened it swept me off my feet, I don't think anyone saw but it doesn't matter my ego is bruised. we get out and swim up to a rock formation until we receive orders, once the higher up said go the men switched there guns to "Shatter" and turned on there goggles shining blue. We go up to the dome I ask where the demolition charges are, they laugh and shoot the hell out of the dome.
>>62530818This dome is just one of a dozen, but sipite that when the glass shuddered and turned in to shards I felt a sense of pride at such destruction. After this we shot any earth caste in the ruins and breached the connection hall and fought some fire warriors, normally going head to head with the T'au is a bad idea but with the element of surprise our attack was quite successful. HQ called us back as submarine support was going to come in, they took out key points and we just let the domes go down on there own.
>>62530911For a few months we didn't do much just practice pull my hair out finding no flaws and repeat. I can't say I miss front line combat, the fun of sticking a fire warrior with my sword is something I miss tough. A traitor was found among the regular shock troopers, he spilled some vital information and for it he was publicly executed. My men didn't have much to say about it, and that's another thing I miss. The Tritons are such stiffs, im a comisar so im a stiff but im still a man, I want to hear gossip or see play some cards or literally anything. They just drill and read the uplifting primer and then they polish there guns and after that they drill some more, I wonder if this is how it's like to be attached to some Krege troops? (alright boys I need to hit the sack, night)
