    Previous thread:

Your heavy haulers go out to collect the drowning natives while your heavy combat drones move back on to land. Some natives that still held on crunch noisily beneath their tracks.

    You have captured:
    93 Chimps
    56 Apes
    >> Anonymous 09/12/09(Sat)22:32 No.5836719
Excellent. I believe that's enough for a couple techs, if we sell them. Have our drones return their cargo to the holding bay, and inform our resident slaver corporation, please.

    Build 6 habitats.

Call AR. They said they needed more slaves if their parent corp was going to supply EMP. Find out that number. We may want to hold off trading the slaves until we can basically make them get EMP for us (and them).

Also, who would be able to sell us EMP shielding for our drones? Or do we need to tech lab that?

Finally, looks like our tear gas is quite successful. Probably useful enough to use on the battlefield, although the lack of visibility will prove highly problematic unless we find a solution.

You have uncovered the secrets of the Kil'thweq Powered Armour Unit.
You have invented the EMP Gun.

    You have lost 50 Apes.

    >You have uncovered the secrets of the Kil'thweq Powered Armour Unit.
Create enough powered armor units for all subcontractors present in our main facility. Keep them available for our personal use in the event of a critical attack.

    >You have invented the EMP Gun.
Create 30 light combat drones with EMP guns.

Create an excessively large quantity of all artillery types, so that we'll have whatever we want on hand. A couple thousand rounds of each, say.

Can our currently constructed drones cross the ocean between Uni-Peace's holdings, or not?
    >> Anonymous 09/12/09(Sat)23:22 No.5837328
It moves approximately at the same speed as drones with repulsor technology in an atmosphere but can accelerate to a maximum of approximately a fifth of the speed of light in vacuum. It's designed for interstellar travel. You're able to turn off the thruster so that it consumes no more fuel - but so that it still floats in the position that it was in.
It's a spaceship engine, not a drone method of locomotion. Something with a propulsion thruster must be constructed and launched from a heavy construction facility.

    >> Anonymous 09/12/09(Sat)23:29 No.5837435
Yeah, didn't mean to give orders for something that wouldn't work. Still want to buy the IR specs, or the VTOL. We don't want to be falling into tunnel traps.
    >> Sub-Processor RND042 09/12/09(Sat)23:30 No.5837450
Hmm so that would mean they are outside our current production ability to produce anything with the propulsion unit. I was hoping to make something that was a B-52 combined with an AC-!30 Spooky with the heat rays as it's primary weapons and just bombard the ground while it floats there.
    >> Anonymous 09/12/09(Sat)23:30 No.5837455
Will IR work for detecting tunnels? If it's good enough, it should notice ground temperature differences, or people moving around underneath. Detecting the cloaked units will be nice at least, but if we can't find tunnels, we may want sonar.

We don't need either. We'll just pulse artillery everything before we roll over it, and all the tunnels will collapse.

    >Do you want to develop it as a primary weapon or as a superweapon (It takes up three slots and auxiliary slots)? It will be proportionally powerful.
Primary weapon. It has to fit on combat-hauler hybrid drones.
    >> Anonymous 09/12/09(Sat)23:36 No.5837527
Seconding primary. We also want those hybrids to have, say, a lightning gun for anything that can't really be captured (like a power suit or something), and a normal gravity gun for deflecting stuff.

Although a superweapon gravity gun would be something really cool for the future. Can we get a superweapon lighting gun?

Just as the pieces of soggy bark and rotten leaf fly into the air, so does the earth descend, collapsing on itself as the many worming tunnels beneath the earth fall apart, too shaken to maintain their structure. You allow Lemmington to advance alongside your light flamers - but the superheavy transports come to a halt and the rest slow to a snail's pace and the transport opens up, several racks carrying... things... appearing and unleashing them.
Each superheavy transport carries fifty of these things. Gas masks are grafted on to their faces, a long, sharp blade is grafted on to each arms. These lankey monsters are obviously starved and are completely naked, with any indication of gender removed. They scream wildly as they run forward, blade arms milling about - a grand total of two thousand of them. They run ahead of the other Lemmington vehicles while the superheavies retreat, but they don't catch up with your flamers, lagging just a little bit behind.

The first line of defense for Uni-Peace is doused with tear-gas and almost immediately, all of the victims collapse, the first line rendered completely useless. The second line of defense, however, rises up. Over a hundred explosive bolts go flying, dozens landing in your flamers. However, your flamers are yet to be in range with the second line. What do you do?

    >> Plasma !UHUuLXLjhk 09/13/09(Sun)01:53 No.5839016
As shells fall from the heavens, the second line dives back down, retreating into their holes. Approximately half are caught in the wave of mist, falling down, incapacitated and writhing on the muddy floor. With a care in a world, the lobotomies speed past the second line, ignoring everyone there, even as the third line collapses and dozens of men and woman are drowned in mud, others of them trying to escape.

Three of the heavy Lemmington transports stop and heavily armoured clones climb out, twenty from each. Forty of them are armed with assault rifles while twenty of them are armed with decontaminators, chemical throwers, weapons perfectly suited for the tunnels below. Your flamer drones are just about to pass over the second line and the fourth line is already firing at the lobotomies approaching the third line, many of them ducking down in order to avoid your covering fire - some of which is accidentally hitting the lobotomies. Lemmington doesn't seem to care, though.

Build 5 haulers full of pulse rounds, send them to the front.

And launch a herbicidal missile followed by a pulse missile so that the shockwave edge will barely brush us. So that we hit one or two more lines and then hit missile territory.
    >> Plasma !UHUuLXLjhk 09/13/09(Sun)02:11 No.5839178
    Your artillery's not enough, no.

You do have a massive selection of missles, however.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:11 No.5839189
See, with superweapon artillery, we'd have had this entire area saturated by now. Do about 5 missiles worth of the previously suggested herbicide/pulse missile combo, follow each one with tear gas missile. Let's speed this process along.
    >> Plasma !UHUuLXLjhk 09/13/09(Sun)02:13 No.5839202
Your haulers already have 280 spare pulse shells and your pulse artillery so far have only used 2/25 shells.

    >High tech SHCDs fall back, lightning LCDs take their place, MCDs move one line further forward?
Not all the high tech HCDs. Let's say we have 20 on the advance, 20 with the artillery. Aside from that, yeah... let's move the lightning LCDs up. They're not doing us any good in the back.

Let's allocate... half our missile reserves to this offensive. Also, how many drones do we have guarding at the north border? I'd hate to be blindsided.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:14 No.5839206

This will let us advance quickly and to begin loading hippies into haulers almost immediately, instead of leaving them there while we slowly advance.

Do this, and then send our forces moving quickly forward.

Do we have a map of how the tunnels collapsed? With this information we could figure out any hubs that haven't collapsed and see a pattern in their defense strategies.

    >Let's allocate... half our missile reserves to this offensive.
I'm inclined to hold our missiles back in general, rather than spending them freely. It seems a waste of their power to use them on random tunnels. Let's save them for breaking up any particularly tough knots.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:17 No.5839231
Spend 5-10 of the 3 missile combo barrage, as Sampson 70 deems best.

Advance, have the haulers pick up slaves quickly so they don't hold us up, use LP personnel and gravity guns from combat drones if it would speed the process. How many slave haulers do we have? Is it enough to pick up at least several thousand hippies?
    >> Subcontracter Lim !!WNAAQArhCnX 09/13/09(Sun)02:18 No.5839234

Fair enough. What I meant was to agree to only use a maximum of half our missiles for this entire conflict, so we don't end up nuking every single hostile we come across.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:21 No.5839261
And if we notice any place that didn't get hit by the missiles, shell it as we go. Forward!

    Missles are launched.

They arrive approximately when the lobotomies reach Line 9, and they will hit Line 11 through to Line 36.

LP: "My sensors are a'tinglin'. You just shot some rockets?

The tear gas hits Line 4 - but almost all of the hippies have hidden underground before the shells strike. How fortunate, then, the the pulse shell arrives to bury them in the tunnels they hide in, leaving only a couple dozen on the surface, groaning. The lobotomies run straight past Line 5, hacking and slashing away whatever's in their way before they continue, their footsteps followed by the lethal chemical spray off your Lemmington allies and the heat of your drones' flames, while given supporting fire in the form of a lasers and lightning.

    Your next choice?

Samson 70 says five missles of each.

    1869 lobotomies remaining.
    56 flamer drones remaining.
    57 medium laser drones remaining.
    48 Heavy Decontaminant Tanks remaining.

Continue our advance methodically. Whenever a line two or three in front of our foremost troops seems largely intact, pound it with a tear gas/pulse combo. If there are serious trees still in existence anywhere, hit them with defoliant.

Continue until problems are encountered or ammunition is 70% depleted, please.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:28 No.5839339
Pick up hippies into haulers, make a rapid push forward with several of the light drones to scout out the damage of the rockets. Maybe we'll even make AR's quota from this campaign.

Barbed nets trail across the floor while crude manipulators reach out and snatch at bodies, checking for signs of life. The alive are stuffed into the cargo bay while the dead are cast to the side. The nets slowly fill with wriggling victims who suffer the same fate, either contained to cast aside.

The thousands of lobotomies race ahead, gibbering and slurring beneath their masks as they try and reach some unknown destination for some unknown reason - but they happen to act as the perfect meatshields, running through all of the enemy fire without a care in a world. The various Lemmington vehicles trail after them, dousing anything that isn't unconscious with a vile cocktail of chemicals. The haulers pick up the living and discard the dead and everything run perfectly smoothly as a jagged path is cut through the forest.

But, suddenly it happens. There's a brief click and then a soft boom. Vines rapidly grow out of the air, looking to grapple and wrestle with something, anything. They reach for the tracks of your drones, the artillery drones to be precise. They attempt to grapple with them and hold them back, as is their nature, while a new threat is detected. Natives, and by the hundreds, coming from the North, South towards your drones, dozens of gorillas among them.

Further up the field of battle, suddenly, a Lemmington vehicle explodes. Followed by another, and another, showering the surroundings with chemicals and bodyparts. Distant shapes flicker through the air, just barely invisible, on the verge of being possible to see.

How do you wish to deal with these two threats?
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:47 No.5839522
Prioritize the protection of our artillery. Btw will the lightning guns instagib the gorillas that get to close? Otherwise have our lasers contrinuously fire in a beam ans sweep across the battlefield slicing anything in its path.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:48 No.5839526

Hit the area in front of the natives with tear gas. Lots of tear gas. Make them hold off or run through it. If they keep coming, use pulse shells to blast them back and napalm to make a more formidable barrier. While they're busy, deploy defoliant around all the drones affected by the vines.

When that's all dealt with, check to see if Lemmington's dealt with the stealth killers.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:50 No.5839547
Expend a tear gas missile on the center of the formation of natives.

Have the defoliant artillery shell the ground near them if possible so that Agent Amber is released onto the traps. If this would prove highly problematic, send a defoliant missile at them.

EMP the area of the cloakers.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:53 No.5839563

Set up a crisscrossing wall of laser fire 100 ft in front of the estimated cloaked units area. Spray the area with EMP whenever we get a partial view of them.

Apply defoliant, by spray/shell/missile, whichever is fastest.

Tear gas shell the natives, send a missile into their ranks to be sure.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)02:53 No.5839565
    >EMP the area of the cloakers.
We don't have long-range EMPs, or at least I thought we didn't. We've got light EMP drones guarding our artillery, but if they leave to aid Lemmington we'll leave ourselves vulnerable.
    >> Plasma !UHUuLXLjhk 09/13/09(Sun)02:58 No.5839603
You don't have the time window to launch a tear gas missle in without landing it in the middle of your troops and causing damage in the however minor explosion. So, shells will have to suffice.

You manage to get rid of the vines by remote-activating and destroying an Agent Amber shell that you shoot, as soon as it's fired, in the middle of the air. The plantlife disintegrates and the drones are free.

But, something's wrong. Despite the tear gas, several of them are still running at you, insanely determined, all of their muscles tense and every vein in their native bodies ever so visible. Even after a pulse barrage, they keep on coming, screaming and snarling brutally. Only half of them have been taken down properly. They're almost in melee. What do you do?

As for the mysterious cloaked offenders - despite everything that Lemmington does, he can't hit them at all - his units simply aren't long ranged enough. His tanks are rapidly being picked off, chemicals spilling over the ground as the cloaked individuals flicker across the battlescape.
    >> Plasma !UHUuLXLjhk 09/13/09(Sun)03:01 No.5839621
The lasers blaze. Hundreds of beams of light stream across everywhere, hitting nothing but - there! A series of flashes as the laser digs into metal plating. The laser returns to where it was. Slowly but surely, the lasers of your drones begin to follow the distant shapes, in a bizarre form of cat and mouse. Some of the stolen power suits are even revealed, their cloning mechanisms destroyed, allowing them to be quickly wiped out.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)03:02 No.5839637
Charge forward with the EMP drones, shoot shoot shoot.

Combat drugs for the natives? Well then, open up, full lethality. Thermobaric, lasers, lightning, the works. Supporting flamethrowers if they start getting close, and use the gravity guns to knock them back/down.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)03:04 No.5839650
Send the tear gas missile to air burst above our location.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)03:06 No.5839668

Or self destruct some tear gas shells around our position. Set up a wall of napalm right in front of the natives, and shoot them with whatever's not tied up dealing with the suits.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/09(Sun)03:07 No.5839677
