Last thread was fun, let's keep it going>>57791145In the previous thread /tg/ collectively created several characters with the best/worst traits from other characters. We've made enough, so now we're gonna work on fleshing out what we have already (names, ages, backgrounds, relationships, etc). We currently have the plot of 5 Kings working against one another for control of the kingdom and a few side NPCs.

The self-important dandy is an extremely important official, and knows it, never failing to remind others how comparatively dull they are and ruthlessly nitpicking his colleagues. However, the pressures of work keep him burning the midnight oil for long hours, resulting in his slide into ever increasingly alcohol dependency, which has led him to neglect his duties and miss numerous important appointments. He's fallen so low, the rumours say, that he'll shuffle paperwork around to get you legally excluded from taxation or even landed a cushy (and newly invented) aristocratic title in exchange for cheap liquor.

Though stern, gruff, and quick to anger at even a minor slight, he is warm and fatherly to his apprentices and skeletal underlings, eager to help his youngest students grow with his imparted experience from boys to men. Unfortunately his failing eyesight and onset of arthritis mean he may be unable to play his instrument in the near future, and his aides have already learned that letting him behind the reigns of a carriage is practically a death sentence.

In others, the young man is decidedly different than his master. Despite his immense potential as a one-man army, he is a devout pacifist, insisting upon always seeing the good in everyone. This, compounded with his acute haemophobia, makes him a reluctant fighter, much preferring diplomacy to resolve matters. Some mistake this for harmlessness or heroism depending on their views of violence, but deep beneath his exterior of smiles and optimism, the heir harbours a twisted personal philosophy: the natural state of the work is one of chaos. However, humans naturally crave order, attempting to impose it on the world resulting in nothing but misery. The logical conclusion of this? To destroy the world and return it to the primordial chaos in which it was formed.

>>57885627Perhaps they are who placed the curse on him!
>>57885642Well, when we were building the setting we decided it had Trigun's gangs and Final Fantasy's tech level, so sci fi is already incorporated.
>>57885642Thanks to the efforts of their religious major and the religious order present (Likely the guys we created before.) it is seen only as a holy sign of their deity and no one dared to step into his domain as which they see it. Before they came into power people ventured into it, but never returned.
>>57885644Yeah, that could work. Simon's curse is that his bloodline is destined to fight Dracula and his descendants over and over again each time they show up. Maybe an old Sea Hag cursed his great great grandfather into a never ending rivalry with the Big Momma pirate family we've got going.

Created from a freshly skinned corpse prepared with dark rites of defilement, a Husker springs to life at the stroke of midnight and begins to aimlessly wander its surroundings hunting for prey. They are incredibly difficult to control, but certain wards and fetishes can serve to turn away the creature from its creator and help prod it along a path to an intended target. Initially, Husk-Ghouls are merely undead like any common zombie, albeit able to twist their bones into odd configurations at will, crunching themselves into tight spaces to better ambush prey and avoid detection. However, the real danger posed by these disquieting creatures comes when they are foolishly attacked. With each subsequent blow, a Husker only becomes increasingly resistant to damage, its wet raw flesh calcifying into rock hard scab-tissue. Worse still, if the creature is killed, it will only come back as long as its rotten head remains intact, only faster, smarter, tougher, and with a single-minded drive to hunt down and tear limb from limb its previous killer. The only safe (and the term can only be used loosely) method of disposing of a Husk-Ghoul is to confront one during the day, when their brute strength is mitigated somewhat by the light of the son. If its head can be cleaved cleanly from its body in a single stroke and carried far away from the rest of the corpse, the wretched thing can be finally put to rest.
>>57885680So... frankensteining up the Sea Hag after the Town Mayor?Or perhaps They're the one and the same
>>57886863We definitely could use the Sea Hag as a setup for the start town this is (Perhaps the earlier said spacecraft is basically at the coastline of the city and she made it her hideout over the ages.), So after all the deaths and rebirths of himself the major finally found people willing to hunt down the Sea Hag for him to atleast get revenge for having been cursed and clean the mysterious construct that has been there before the city itself.
>>57886945works even more if the ship is considered a religious site, as we'd discussed as a possibility earlier.
>>57887243Exactly, the Major might have helped pushing it to been seen as this status (Due to the rebirth part he would have been around for a long time already in some regard.) so eventually when he finds someone to deal with her he could do it under the pretense of cleaning up something strange inside there. Maybe he doesn´t want to reveal the circumstances of the curse and his fight with the Criminal Family for generations just like that.
