>>51511967Well, clones suggests a paranoia-like mechanic, and by extension allowing risky scenarios that would be too likely to TPK in another game. Tools I honestly have no idea, since basically every RPG has tools of some sort, and diplomacy is also a very broad subject that can apply to just about anything. Perhaps it would work like some sort of espionage game, every session is a heist or operation. Before the mission, HQ gives the agents a set of tools to use on their mission, largely up to GM discretion, but the PCs could pull strings with their organization/crime syndicate to get more/better stuff. In game, players have to use diplomacy to get what they want. Problem is, it might be tough getting chances for diplomacy in situations like bank robberies or base infiltration, where talking isn't usually an option. When the operation inevitably takes a turn for the worse, the players are at risk of death, but they have clones so they aren't too worried about risky moves that have a chance to end in instant death. But, they only have so many clones, so they can't be too reckless. That actually sounds kinda fun, I can imagine it being good for groups that don't meet too often, since every op would be largely isolated from each other the same way Bond films are, so no need to remember what happened a month ago.

>>51525188Wrestling has plenty of components, so let's try and pick some aspects to focus on:Pop: Crowd interaction, and a system that adds complexity to winning and losing. Essentially, "pop" is generated whenever something awesome happens (landing a critical hit on a special move, a match "turning around", so on) and at the end of the match, Pop is added to both character's EXP/score/fame. Even if you lose, if you make your match awesome, you're rewarded for it. The crowd gets bored of one-sided beatdowns, same-y matches, and match interference that isn't suitably badass/messes with the match too much, but would generate lots of pop if, say, a hero was getting his shit kicked in but then other PCs came in to save the day.Other mechanics I can think of are sell (HP), promos (gaining bonuses before matches and such), and so on.

See adventure, find cool stuff, sell it to peasants, get the fuck out before the local nobility tries to murder you, the works.>Dice wise, I'm thinking something nice and simple, d6 pools and just a couple core stats. >Focus is on your caravan, not just your dudes.

>>51549247This game is da bomb anon
>>51533484>UHHHHHHCome on, anon. We know you can make a better setting than that.Holy shit man, this is some hardcore RPG creation! I would no joke love to playtest this with you.>>51532959This is really neat. Reminds me a little of Lasers and Feelings. I like the over-and-under rolling. And there's nothing wrong with having one of your three results be just part of the background ambience. I rolled "Megastorms" as one of my results for this, and it ended up just being part of the landscape with no specific mention in the rules.>>51524920This is insane, I love it>>51523235Just off the top of my head... every PC is trying to gain the favor of the mob boss, so at the start of the game each PC can choose between 1 and N barrels of hi-test Hooch, the number they choose representing both how much profit/prestige they'll earn upon successful delivery, and how hard it will be to hide it in the event that the Squad finds out about their operation and tries to bust them before they get the hooch delivered. Since it's a rules-light game, give the players a handful of points that they can distribute between a few mob-related descriptors (Shooting, Fast-Talking, Running Away, etc.) and have the player roll that many dice when needed. Every 3+ result is a success. Every result of 1 or 2 is a Raid, and if you have more Hooch than you do Raids, you're picked up, shot dead, or otherwise out of the game. UNLESSanother PC wants to help you out and step in, using the same rules. If they manage to overcome the problem, you owe them a Debt and have to give them your Favor points upon successful delivery of your hooch. If you have Favor points from previously successful hooch deliveries, you can call them in and cancel one Raid for each Favor point you expend.Play continues until all PCs successfully deliver their hooch during the same round, at which time Prohibition is repealed and the game ends. Pretty basic and derivative but the fun's in the process
>>51519975Fast and deadly. You could clean this up in board game form and make a Kickstarter out of it. For some reason the VIP part made me think of this or actually a bootleg clone of it I played as a kid>>51514127This is a really grim game with a hilarious premiseDamn, I forgot how much fun this was.
