After visiting your old friend Ocean Father in his temple along the shoreline, you return to your villa, your place of residence for the duration of your "vacation" here in the archipelago of the Neck, have a light lunch, and prepare yourself. You're about to meet with the council of patriarchs of Amphiro, and their spokesperson, the chieftan Bua Shing, after all. This is your chance to add the Neck to the crown of Tianna. And you're afraid it's not going to be as easy as you thought. The people of the Neck have dodges most of the troubles and dangers of Creation by escaping notice, up to now. There's no way to know how they will react if you drag them on stage under the spotlights today. Technically, they're a satrapy of the Realm, after all.And you doubt that the Realm will be happy if they lose the archipelago to you, even though these islands have little of interest to the Blessed Isle. Matter of principle.Your butler Regis has already returned from the Coral palace with their answer: penned in simple calligraphy on a sheet of paper, it's just "The Council of Patriarchs grants you the privilege of joining us in today's session." You can only imagine that being said in a fairly passive-aggressive tone: they were probably too afraid to refuse.Meanwhile, him and Millian have just finished cleaning up the table. Amata is lounging in the sofa, reading a book like she doesn't have one worry in the world. and Tia is putting her arms around your neck and biting your right ear in yet another invasion of personal space."About time to go?" Wonders Amata, without putting down the book."What, you aren't coming?""I don't know, should I?" She grins. "I briefed you and everything. I thought you were going to do this on your own." The book lowers imperceptibly.
>Well, I was the one invited, I'll just go alone.>Hey, want to tag along, Tia?>Come on, Amata. You need to come too.>We should go, all three of us.Combined with:>Regis and Millian stay here at home.>Regis comes with me.>Millian comes with me.>Regis and Millian come with me.Combined with:>We probably don't need an escort.>We probably don't need an escort, but Erman should come with us.>We'll ask Erman for a few soldiers to tag along.>We'll ask Erman for a few soldiers to tag along, and he should come too.

"Well." You stretch a bit, forcing Tia to detach from you. "I was invited, after all. I'll guess I'll go alone."The Lunar makes a sad, mournful sound."Oh, I'll be alright." You give her a kiss on the cheek to sheer her up. "I'll be back soon, promise. Regis? Be a dear and go ask Erman to put together a small detail to escort me."The little butler nods and heads out, as you briefly consider what to wear before leaving.(currently wearing: #25)

You switch dress with a flouris and say goodbye to everyone. Amata barely nods, so engrossed in her book. Of course, Tia does her best to look like a puppy being abandoned in the rain.Trying not to feel guilty about it, you walk out and through the garden, out of the gate, and hit the road leading to the city of Solid Shell. Five soldiers, lightly armed and armored, accompany you, together with Regis, who still seems surprised by the crowd of people constantly keeping your mansion under siege."Please, please, ladies and gentlemen, let us through. We have a very important meeting to get to." He informs them, coolly, helping you break through the encirclement without drawing even further attention to yourself.Of course, the crowd follows you all the way to Solid Shell, but they're not as annoying as they were yesterday or this morning. Are they getting used to you? Or did the Immaculates apply some pressure on them?Among the whispers going on, you hear more than a few voices mentioning Ocean Father. Sounds like news of the god's endorsement is already circulating...At the far end of Shell Street, the shopping arcade from yesterday, stands Coral Palace.A tall, spiral-like construction made from white, pink and red bricks of compacted coral, resembling a giant, jagged seashell shining under the sun, its windows of translucent... glass? reflecting light all over the plaza, where all the main streets of the city intersect. Sparks of colorful light seem to dance through the construction's structure and fly through the space around you, like droplets of water from a chaotic fountain. This building is a Manse without doubt, though... it seems like one that wastes much of its Essence, or at least channels it quite poorly. A musical echo fills the air, carried by the dispersing magic.(cont.)
There's already a large crowd, and more than a few tribal soldiers with shark leather armor, bows and spears, keeping the situation under control. Protests? Most of these people seem rather excited, and not in a good way. Before your arrival stunned most of them, there was quite some shouting going on. Although you weren't able to exactly pick the words being said, you get the distinct feeling that some of the people here are protesting the council, or the decisions that they all seem fairly sure that will be taken here today. At least some of the people here are apparently in favor of Tianna's annexation of the Neck, or maybe just your fans, while others seem to be quite firmly against, and you can easily tell that by how they react to your sudden appearance: some cheer, other seem to try to boo or jeer you, fail, and drop into a stunned yet hostile silence.>I should address the people gathered here and say something. You head inside the palace. After a short entrance and nicely-appointed hallway (though still with a somewhat "western island-kingdom" style), you are admitted into the council room.Your guards are asked to wait in the hallway, but Regis is let through and allowed to accompany you.The council room is fairly vast. It must take up at least half of the entire seashell-like dome of the Manse. Lit by glowing, spiraling displays of Essence hanging overhead, it's covered in carpets, tapestries and animal pelts (a rare luxury in the West). A wooden round table dominates the room, sitting in its center. There are no chairs, and the patriarchs are apparently expected to stand. In fact, you can see them occupying the room, some pacing around, some gripping the edge of the table or leaning over it. There's about fifteen people here, all male (of course, there's a reason they're called patriarchs), of a varied mix of ages and ethnicity. Silence falls as you walk inside. You can't help but fall silent with surprise as well: standing at the far side of the table you also spot the only two other women in the room: the two Dragon-Blooded Immaculates from yesterday, standing left and right of a clearly nervous man wearing rich crimson robes and covered in Realm honors and badges of office, so much so that you barely pay attention to the man hiding underneath. The one you remember introducing herself as Ragara Sanaya, clad in her usual red dress, gives you a death-glare the moment you enter the room.(cont.)

"Welcome to the Council of Patriarchs, Queen Maka." a mountain of a man steps forward, walking around the table up to you with a half-pleasant, yet wary smile. He's definitely impressive, being as tall as you and probably weighting almost twice as much, arms and chest heavy with tough muscles and the weathered skin of a lifetime of struggle and labor."Chieftan Bua Shing." You shake his hand vigorously, recognizing him from Amata's description, but, more importantly, from his necklace of blue lobster claws, the symbol of leadership in Neck culture. "Thank you for having me here.""It's not like we could refuse." He replies, inviting you to the table with a gesture of his hand. Everyone around that table is currently glaring at you with a mixture of hostility and suspicion, though you detect more than a bit of fear, hesitation, even amazement for your presence and appearance. You place your hands on the edge of the table and let your eyes wander around for a moment. The man in the red robes is clearly Sesus Chido, the local Realm satrap. And a leaner, younger man than Bua Shing, currently eyeing you shiftily, must be Huann Rang, his main political opponent and probable successor. >>45575737>>45575803Okay, reviewing, Bua wants independence and autonomy from the realm, but does it slowly and by the book. We should sway him with an economic/independence argument. The potential usurper, Huann Rang, wants to reclaim territory from Skullstone shadowlands. We need to appeal to him with a security argument. (And economic, since a trade surplus could bankroll his expedition.)Either way, we need to subtly imply that the realm can't (or more reasonably, won't) offer any of that without being too overt. We should appeal to both major potentials evenly at first, and see how the rest of the council responds, and take a cue from there.Thoughts?

[SHINING RULER'S BENEVOLENCE]"So, to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?" Bua Shing nods, returning to his place around the circular table."Isn't it obvious?!" Ragara Sanaya slams on said table, so loud and sudden she startles Sesus Chido. "She is here to subvert your peaceful archipelago to her control! She will tempt you with her luscious body, and then enslave you! It's beyond me why you even agreed to let her in here in the first place!""Please." A Patriarch tries to quell her. "Mind your manners. You are guests here too."Sanaya stares a hole in him and lifts her hands off the table, leaving handprint-shaped burn marks in the wood. Her other dragon-blooded friend doesn't seem particularly shaken by anything going on, but she's keeping her eyes on you at all times."They do have a point." Another patriarch sneers. "All this is tantamount to interference in our internal affairs. Not to mention letting so many women in these sacred halls.""But they're guests, and Maka's presence has been endorsed by none other than Father Ocean.""I'm sorry, what?" Sanaya nearly chokes from the reveal, while Sesus Chido looks like he's about to hide under the table. The table's discussion degenerates in bickering, name-calling, and a cacophonous chaos, which you follow attentively and carefully "Please, please." Huann Rang tries to defuse the situation, with some success. "Let's be focused on the matter at hand. Our dear guest has not even said anything yet."Silence is restored as everyone's attention returns on you.[Mental + Eclipse = 8 1 7 9 4 4 8 1 9 9 = 6 successes]Still, you learned enough. Chido is going to be useless, and just pushed around by Sanaya. She is hostile to you, but blindly so. She doesn't feel like some kind of political mastermind at all. Rolled 5 (1d10)>>45576193>She is hostile to you, but blindly so.Super rude.
The Patriarchs are mostly split in three factions here. You don't know if it's a formal split or just a circumstance, but, in your head, you decide to call them "Mercantile", "Loyalists" and "Independist". The Mercantile patriarchs are those that represent the artisans, traders and business-owners of the archipelago. Mostly a small fraction of the population, but the one with the money and influence. They seem interested in the idea of trade with Tianna, and possibly some safeguard from Lintha and Skullstone pirates (the Neck is basically unplagued by conventional piracy), but that's where they stop. They don't want any deeper involvement with "trouble" like you. Also, they mostly fell for your shopping spree yesterday and seem to believe Tianna is rolling in gold. The Loyalists want to stay with the Realm, and just want you to go away. They're motivated by fear of reprisal, mostly, so maybe "loyalists" is a misnomer. They want to stick with the ages-old Neck strategy of survival, that is, being ignored. All in all, they'd prefer if you just declared annexation and occupied the Neck. It would let them play the "the Neck is just a victim" narrative. But they will resist any change or political action coming from within the neck, anything that draws attention to them. They're mostly opposed to Bua Shing, but they're pretty much opposed to everything. They just want nothing to get done at all.(cont.)

>>45576343There also is an ebook here >>45575551
And the Independists want to be free from the Realm, or rather, mostly from the Immaculate doctrine. The tribute on the Neck is fairly light and often not even paid at all, or just in part, but the Realm has forced the Neck to move away from their tradition of god-worship and siring god-blooded children as a way to form alliances with spirits. In the past, their Chieftan used to be always a son of Father Ocean, but they had to drop that tradition to please the Realm too. As things are right now, these patriarchs will be in favor of any measure that will bring back their ancient freedom of worship.Bua Shing is playing a delicate game of keeping these three factions balanced and the discourse civil. You have the feeling that all three of them respect him, even though they might not always agree with what he does. The Mercantiles accuse him of not doing enough for the economy, the Loyalists accuse him of breaking ties with the Realm, and the Independists accuse him of keeping ties with the Realm.Still, they all recognize his authority.Huann Rang is a different deal. He doesn't subscribe to any one of these three factions, but rather is here to push the agenda of his clan, the Tautoga, who want to recapture territory lost to Skullstone generations ago: the Isle of Cormorant. Nearly everyone has sympathy for his cause, and he is young, good-looking, eloquent and charismatic. But Bua Shing has always prevented him from acting on the desire of retaking Cormorant from Skullstone. As silence falls around the table once more, you feel like now you know more on the situation here. How will you move?(cont.)

You clear your throat."As you may be aware, there are many great changes in Tianna. I don't want to sound arrogant saying so, but we are working hard to transform it into the seed from which, with the blessing of the Unconquered Sun, a glorious kingdom might one day sprout." You start. "As such, it is important that we establish immediately good relations with our neighbors.""What sort of good relations?" Bua Shing wonders, sounding rather suspicious."Well, we are natural trade partners, are we not? But, more than that, I am sure you know how powerful we are, by now. Both the Lintha and the Silver Prince were defeated by our forces. We can offer something above trading opportunity: We can offer safety. We're closer to your shores than the remote Realm.""What are you implying?!" Sanaya fumes, literally. "That the Realm can't defend its satrapies?""That, and also, that perhaps the Immaculate Faith isn't meant for the Neck.""Oh, you'd like that, wouldn't you." But Bua lifts a hand, asking her for silence."The Neck has long had a tradition of spirit-worship and communion with the gods of the Sea, and god-blooded, that the Immaculate Faith sees as corrupted beings, are instead honored and cherished in your culture. Don't you think that you would be better off with us?""Is this what you're offering us?" Bua steps closer to you."If the problem is a lack of trust, I am a close ally of Ocean Father, and have his explicit endorsement for my presence and actions here." You point out.A murmur makes its way across the room."What makes you think that the Realm will just let us leave?" Someone asks."Well, you are not a slave nation. You do not have an occupation army on your home soil. Do you believe that the Realm will send a legion across the sea to recapture its yearly tribute from the Neck?"Someone breaks in sad, mocking laughter."The Realm did defend the Neck's shipping from Skullstonian pirates. We are owed that tribute." Sanaya argues.(cont.)
>>45577033>Someone breaks in sad, mocking laughter.Savage
You shrug. "Well, you won't be having many problems with Skullstone from now on anyway, as the Silver Prince has been slain during the siege of Tianna.""You... you can't slay a Deathlord." Huann Rang shakes his head. "He'll be back.""Even if you don't believe us, You all saw the ships and warstriders we sailed in your port on. We defeated Skullstone. Broke the back of their naval forces. While the Realm has barely sent enough forces to deal with one pirate preying on their tribute.""That's because the Realm has to worry about events going all over Creation." Bua points out."So, yes, they're stretched thin. While Tianna is just next to you." You lean closer to that mountain of a man. "We can do more. And, together with Tianna, the Neck can actually matter, rather than being a remote island chain from where to import pretty seashells.""You might not believe that the Realm will react." Sanaya glowers. "But believe me, it will. And when it does, you will RUE the day you decided to challenge it. You hear me? You will RUE IT!""Actually, I'm not challenging the Realm." You reply, calmly. "You are challenging me."She opens her mouth again, then closes it.[HEART-COMPELLING METHOD][S+Z= 1 6 6 6 7 9 5 6 4 10 7 9 8 9 6 +1s = 9 successes]After your speech is over, the patriarchs start talking among their own. While the big discussion is going on, you approach the side of the table where the Immaculates are standing, still rather stunned. The taller immaculate steps between you and Sanaya, and you'd swear you almost heard her hiss like an angry cat.Chido, on the other hand, shifts BEHIND Sanaya, so they're all standing kind of in a line in front of you."No hard feelings?""ALL OF THE HARD FEELINGS." Sanaya would probably lunge at you and tackle you to the ground at this point if there wasn't her associate between the two of you."What do you WANT from us?!" Chido wimpers, clearly trying to think of what he could do to make you just go away."Actually, that's a legit question." The tall immaculate nods. "What do you want now?">Can't we be friends?>If the Council votes in favor of Tianna, I expect you to leave the archipelago.>If the Council votes in favor of Tianna, you can stay, provided you don't cause trouble.>I want you to bring a message back to the Realm. It's not like every nation in the world is a satrapy. What sort of common ground are you going to argue for, exactly?I don't mean to say it's a bad argument, just that, well, these people don't matter much in the Realm. you might get their collaboration on something small and local, but they're unlikely to make a case in your favor with the Realm even if you win them over.

>>45577954>Not him, but we both just want to protect Creation and it's people, she's just wrong about who the real threats are.No, we both want to protect creation under our rule. Kinda incompatible.
>>45577925Ah, right. I forgot that these are the kind of people the Realm doesn't really pay mind to. Then maybe we can offer them a chance to see the Neck rise from obscurity, and that they can be a part of it. It's more of a personal appeal. Kind of like Zareen's deal, except we just want them to cooperate with what the Neck decides, not necessarily us. Yet.
>>45577954Well, if I remember my lore right, the Ragaras are one of the big Dynastic houses. Strongly militaristic, I think? Correct me if I'm wrong.Maybe she and her cousin we met just got bum assignments.
"Actually, I was just wondering what your name was:" You reply, nonchalantly. The immaculate woman relaxes a bit. "Ivana, Nellens Ivana. Now leave, please."You take one step back. "What's with all the hostility? Can't we be friends?""No." Sanaya replies. "We can't be friend with a demonic abomination like you.""You consider me like some sort of mortal enemy, but I don't see you as enemies at all." You sigh."That's just because we don't have the Wyld Hunt here." She hisses."Are you going to call for it?""We already called one."Figures. "Not even waiting for me to burn an orphanage or something?""An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." The fire-aspect's temperature is quickly rising, prompting you to take a step back. From what Amata said, it's unlikely that the Realm will actually listen to their request... but unlikely doesn't mean impossible.Besides, they might be lying.>I don't believe you have the authority to call a Wyld Hunt here.>Do what you think you must.>Take that back or bad things will happen.>Don't I deserve a chance before you go all-out on me?>I could be of some help to you, you know?(i have to AFK briefly, again)>>45578093>Well, if I remember my lore right, the Ragaras are one of the big Dynastic houses. "Don't I deserve a chance before you go all-out on me?" You ask. "Have you considered that I might not be as irredeemably evil as your religion paints me to be?""No and no." Is the Fire-aspect's immediate response. You groan. "How many Solars have you met, anyway.""...One.""Without counting me.""Anyway!" She shoves you back. "Why should I believe a single word you're saying?"You think about it for a second."...Because you don't get assigned to the Neck by being a model Immaculate who follows the good book."The two DBs react very differently to your words.Ivana smirks. For a moment, you nearly expected her to actually giggle. Like you said something funny, or reminded her of a joke.Sanaya grits her teeth so hard you'd expect to see them explode, instead."Wha- what did you just say to me, you VAPID BROWN WHORE?" She growls. You feel a surge of Essence and manage to raise both hands in a defensive gesture and calm her down before she can burst into flames in front of everyone. Simultaneously, Ivana grabs her arm and squeezes her hand, trying to keep her under control.Fortunately, no one seemed to have noticed her outburst, with all the politics going on in the background."...If I accidentally touched a nerve, I'm sorry." You backpedal almost instinctively. You've seen few people ever react with so much sudden anger. "I honestly am."Breaking in a fistfight in the middle of the council wouldn't help anyone anyway. She seems to calm down just slightly, just barely enough to become once more able of coherent sentences, but Ivana doesn't let go of her arm just yet. "...We're here because we made a mistake. That's all you need to know. If you REALLY want to be "friends", a good way to start would be to shut your mouth and never open it ever again. EVER.She turns around and storms off, kicking the door open and leaving the room, Satrap in tow. Ivana follows her, shooting you a weird, sad glance.(cont.)
>>45578547"Oh, and whores do it for money."
Just like that, the three Realm representatives vacate the floor. The atmosphere seems to immediately become more relaxed, with several patriarchs breathing sighs of relief.Personally, you're left wondering if Sanaya meant that she'll get off your case as long as you stop messing with her, or if she was just talking in the heat of the moment and nothing she said matter. You'd almost like to follow her and ask her what she meant exactly...>I should do that. As the final words are being said among the patriarchs, you take Huann Rang aside, apologizing for the inconvenience."Do you need anything?" He wonders, seemingly amused by your interest in him."Well, I'd like to ask you a few things about Cormorant." You smile politely. He stares at you for a few seconds, silent."...Yes?" You ask back nonchalantly."How can you claim you have slain the Silver Prince?""Some of my associates have shoved him in front of a First Age weapon buried under Tianna. "I'll be honest with you." You lower your voice. "We're not."He groans."I have extremely knowledgeable people with direct ties with the Realm of the Dead. They told me that he is either destroyed forever, or only temporarily banished, and he will return after one year." You explain. "Possibly quite angry.""...I can imagine. But are you certain of this?""Of this I am quite certain. Even in the worse case scenario, he is not going to return before one year has passed. Which is why Tianna needs allies.""...What do you mean?""While he is missing and leaving Skullstone without clear leadership, I intend to conquer and purify it."He looks at you as if you suddenly sprouted three heads and a tail. "You can't possibly be this powerful. You can't be serious.""I am serious. As for powerful, well... only one way to find out, right?" You grin. "We have only one chance to rid the West of Skullstone for good. To do that, we need the Neck. Food supplies, manpower, resources, strategically-placed harbors and supply stations, navigators with knowledge of local winds and currents.""If you fail, our neck is going to be on the line as well as yours. You're dragging us in a bloodbath." He mumbles, shocked."Weren't you campaigning for taking Cormorant back from Skullstone?" You wonder."Campaigning! It's just politics! Help us, and with your help we can take over Skullstone. When that happens, I'll return Cormorant to your clan.""What if you can't win?""We all die horribly? It's still worth a try, I think. Bua Shing seems a bit saddened by you leaving so soon."I have people for that." You concede yourself a grandiose statement. Mikahil would probably slap you if he heard that, but here appearing glamorous and super important will only help you. "Besides, I'm here on vacation, am I not?""That you are, milady." He nods. Stripped of all the high flown legal language it amounts to this:The Neck is effectively annexed into a new nation (Name to be Determined.)The new nation consists of the Okeianos Confederacy, the Kingdom of Tiana (which Pearl is folded into for administrative reasons) and the Three rivers.Maka is technically the "high queen" although as a practical matter she's co-equal with Tia and Amata. The government recognizes two types of territories: incorporated and protectorates. Any nation can, if they wish, request annexation as an incorporated territory which brings the following duties and privileges:1. Taxation: any territory is subject to one form or another of taxation to support the federal government, although there are specific protections designed to stop one part of the nation from sucking the others dry like the Realm does with its satraps. 2. A basic Bill of Rights that every nation is expected to adhere to. (No human sacrifices, laws regarding the treatment of slaves, laws banning religious persecution ect.)3. A requirement that every territory is required to fund and train reserve troops to handle local problems and assist the national military in defending the territory.4. Restrictions on internal and international tariffs to avoid causing the bullshit that was the Articles of Confederation5. Be a competent local government. The Federal Government has to:1. Defend against outside threats.2. Assist in economic development in territories that need outside assistance.3. Deal with longstanding local issues (Fae, shadowlands, asshole gods) when it has the military might to spare.4. Handle foreign diplomacy.5. Deal with the territories getting into spats.
>>45580464>federalEw, no. We should just Monarchy all of it.
>>45580425What do you think? ...No, seriously, give me some input for this.
>>45580425So THAT'S how Unarmored Soak Charms work
>>45580030>>45580037Whatever we do, it should include an agreement/rule to send people, or facilitate travel, from and to each region. Cultural exchange and enrichment is good, will help make everyone more used to Maka.To be most effective, the people most benefited by this should be young, fertile women and virile men, specially of the multicolored hair variety.
>>45580505>Ew, no. We should just Monarchy all of it.I more meant federal in that we aren't going to disassemble the local governments for some monolithic imperial bureaucracy. I'd call it imperial except that we aren't favoring the "homeland" over the new territory economically like the Realm does.>>45580526I actually had an idea of having one of Silk's fae nobles be in love with him. But yeah, maybe mix in some godblooded and/or princesses of minor western nations.
>>45580526I can't really see shonen-tier denseness in someone deliberately tryting to make a harem.Unless, he tries to get them in his harem, they reject him, he does something to unintentionally win them over, and now they're chasing after him, but he's still stuck on their initial rejection and thinks they want nothing to o with him.
>>45580425>>45580526Please, no. That would make him a joke character and doesn'the mesh well with his jealousy. And I believe you said he is already plenty experienced, just has problems holding long or deep relationships.( Probably on ask.fm.)
>>45580526I think that he got a lot of attention for what he did in the battle against the Silver Prince, but because he's so used to being in Maka's shadow, he didn't notice it. Now that's he's been studying and assuming duties while Maka's off doing other stuff, he's begun to notice things. Lingering stares. Sparring matches with female soldiers that for some reason always turn into wrestling matches. Etc.
>>45580464you forgot the important part where all territories must provide candidates (regardless of gender) for Queen Maka's harem at regular intervals.
>>45580526This whole time I've been seeing him as a shounen protag so the idea amuses me greatly, but actually I don't mind him being a little clueless or dumb, but I would want to avoid too much in one direction or the other like I wouldn't want him to be a super lecher going after every girl he sees either.
>>45580596>I'd call it imperial except that we aren't favoring the "homeland" over the new territory economically like the Realm does.Yeah, but Imperial sounds cooler, and that counts for something.
>>45580713You cheeky fuck, you made me laugh in class

>>45582498Whatever works for you.Maybe a meanwhile to set context and a thread at a later date.
>>45582498As fun as I'm sure a Karas thread would be, I would rather read a few Meanwhiles so you can keep his character tighter and so we can keep on vacationing as Maka in the threads proper.
>>45582498Which ever you want to do
>>45582595This, pretty much. Especially if you're busy.Though we do have the first of a month coming up. A Karas thread while Maka spends a little time on her actual honeymoon would be kinda neat.
>>45582498Soooo next thread when? Also I think we should wait til we get to a good point for stopping then do a Karus thread.
>>45582856Check the twitter and I'll try to keep you up to date.
>>45583065People do have plans, So It'd be appreciated if you could tell when you run so we can plan in advance.
>>45583241I honestly don't know yet. I can't plan ahead very far, and I do get surprises every now and then. It's the reason I use Twitter in the first place.
>two years of Exalted QuestHow the time flies
>>45583506I wish we had a version of that with Rei's art for the stats sheet.
>>45583533I wish there was a way to commission houtengeki for this.
>>45583547I do enjoy his art, although he has a tendency towards same-face
>>45583533I had like 15 minutes
>>45583506It's been a long road, getting from there to here.
>>45583750>>45584009I like it, congrats EF
>>45583547Unfortunately, he only work for japanese payers and doesn't work for individuals. So you can't commission him, unless you have a japanese business.>>45584009As long as we see this dream come to life at last.
>>45583750The left one will always be the way I see Maka. Since she's supposed to be attractive and all.
This begs the question, is EF behind all of our shit shows if he has been voting on everything? Time to go full paranoia
>>45584278Your horrible opinion is showing anon, please don't show it to everyone.
>>45584314To be fair the one with the absurdly large tits looks a lot better than the one with gargantuan+ tits.
>>45584378Thread's over anyway, it doesn't matter.
>>45584365That's your opinion, don't state it as fact. IT'S WRONG FAGGOT
>>45584418It's a fact that you're wrong.
>>45584529Wow, I was just looking at that image before you posted it, what a coincidence. It's good that you agree with me.
>>45584314That's *your* opinion.Frankly, i'm not fond of the art style in the new one. It's... weird as hell. And not in the way a Solar really should be.
>>45579963>Mikahil would probably slap you if he heard that, but here appearing glamorous and super important will only help you.Why Mik?Why?
>>45584556That would be contradiction, you're spinning my intentions with no support to back it up. Your opinion is just that, an opinion. My opinion is the opposite of yours, the only time I stated it as fact was as a spoilered joke.
>>45584656Of course there's support. You used an image in favor of anime, to support the position that the anime image is better than the non-anime image. Basic communication, anon.
>>45584639He's entitled to his opinion just like you are. I appreciate both pictures, Rei's a bit more because it was made for this quest and not taken from another source.
>>45584656You realize you're as bad if not worse for engaging this much.
>>45584693>You used an image in favor of anime, to support the position that the anime image is better than the non-anime image. No, that's smug anime face the highest form of argument. Saying that it supports an anime image is wrong inherently because it is not an argument for anime in and of its self. It is an argument to combat idiocy. The fact you have to piggy back on my arguments just proves how out of depth you are.>>45584735B-but anon, it's fun
>>45584778In the absence of anything else, it's an argument in favor of itself. Since you didn't add anything else into your post, it stands on its own.I'm glad that you agree with my point. Try to not be wrong in the future.
>>45584857>Since you didn't add anything else into your post, it stands on its own. That's fallacious, it is never an argument in favor of itself. You're like a child trying to use grown-up words. >Try to not be wrong in the future. Opinions can never be right or wrong, learn how to properly construct arguments and ideas before your try to argue with someone. Flailing around your own ineptitude, while amusing, is not becoming.
>>45585253>That's fallacious, it is never an argument in favor of itself.Yes it is. Why wouldn't be? Don't just throw around opinions without arguments if you expect to make an actual argument.>Opinions can never be right or wrongI guess you're just very talented at being wrong then. :^)
>>45585253>before your try to argue with someoneHe wasn't trying to argue with someone. He was trying to get someone to reply and look like an idiot for not spotting the extremely obvious bait. Also it's "you."
Guys whats this quest about? What should i expect if i dive into the archives?
>>45585338>:^)On an image board, for shame >>45585349I think I'm allowed one accidental typo. Also I just wanted to see how dumb he could actually make his posts, and I succeeded. Huzzah
>>45585433>"I was only pretending to be retarded"
>>45585431Interesting characters and an intro to an interesting setting. Humorous and fairly decent writing, and a lot of other stuff. It's worth a read
As much fun as you guys are having, don't forget this shit is going to get saved on the archive
>>45585446>Oh no, the guy defended himself somewhat competently, better use greentext to assert my dominance. You're just as bad as those two chucklefucks
>>45585433>I was only pretending :^)
>>45585431Neat characters, A somewhat interesting take to an amazing setting, /tg/ being /tg/, and over the top action which will leave you going 'FUCK YEAH!'
>>45585485But he didn't defend himself competently. His argument essentially boils down to what the greentext says, and engaging a troll is *always* a wrong and stupid thing to do, regardless of whether you're pretending or not.I'm seriously betting on it being not and pretending he was pretending being a desperate backpedal to look less stupid.
>>45585495>:^)If you're going to troll at least use an image, for fuck's sake.
>>45585533But why would I do that when this is so much more fun :^)There's nothing more fun than the funpost face :^)
>>45585533Why would he? The goal of a troll is to make everyone around them as buttblasted as possible, getting triggered by a face is exactly what they want you to do in response to it.
I'm just going to start posting pictures to bring this down to bump limit
>>45585532The point is you don't have to exacerbate the issue by using greentext, it makes you look just as bad. Exhibit A>>45585495But who gives a fuck, these morons are pretty funny.
>>45585570Obviously >>45585570Go for it Watch the troll and the "I was pretending" faggot be the same person.
>>45585570I'll join ya.
Alright good night everyone see you next thread!
Everythings better with essence guitars.
>>45585570>I'm just going to start posting pictures to bring this down to bump limitThank you.
>>45585742Just finished reading Exaltedfag, and for what it's worth I thought you voting was hilarious
>>45585742I actually like a few of these for for some new clothes, when are we going to do a rearranging of our Elsewhere wardrobe?
>>45585833It might be a tad anachronistic, but part of me would really like to see Maka in jeans, just to, you know, compliment her figure.
>>45585908Pants if not actual jeans would be fine, especially if we could get something to fit ManMaka as well, though I think that would take some impressive magic
>>45585998Or a mediocre seamstress.
>>45583506>>45583750>>45584009Does that spell out something in the background?I swear I can see some shapes
>>45586163I could act all mysterious, but... no, it's just a background texture ripped from the Exalted books.
>>45586190Oh, well then.I was all excited too
Has Karas muscled up any since the thread in which we played him?Looking back, he had about the same STR + Athletics (Night) as Maka does now. It'd be awfully embarassing for him if ManMaka was even buffer than he is.
>>45586247>Has Karas muscled up any since the thread in which we played him?>Looking back, he had about the same STR + Athletics (Night) as Maka does now. It'd be awfully embarassing for him if ManMaka was even buffer than he is.He's not gaining XP as fast as you are, but, unlike you, he's investing his XP nearly exclusively in combat stuff.
>>45586247He also didn't have any athletic charms either.Too be completely fair, depending on whether or not Radiant has Ten Ox and what her Phys score is she could be even stronger than Maka
>>45586293If we're ranking people by their sheer ability to bench press, the first in your team is Tia, with Radiant second, and Talon and Karas third, ranked about equal. Maka would be fourth.
>>45586288Can we spend XP on them?
>>45586344>with Radiant secondDon't underestimate the charms of magical girls.
>>45586357You mean "can you spend XP on combat stuff", or "can you spend XP on an NPCs' sheet?"
>>45586344>with Radiant secondReally?I mean I had expected her to have max Night score, but I didn't think her Phys score would be all that impressive, I suppose she might have some upgraded strength charms though
>>45586386On NPCs, or give them XP.
>>45586344I've been wondering, does our strength affect how well we can grapple things or is that purely a dawn thing?
Go to sleep, EF. It's late.
>>45586344>the first in your team is Tia>infinite strength charmThat's just cheating though
>>45586417You can make fanart of fiction and, instead of asking for XP for Maka, ask for XP for another character.Since I like the idea and Maka is gaining XP faster than everyone else, I'll even let each piece of art count as multiple XPs if used like this. You'd get to decide what sort of growth the PNCs have, like "social" or "combat" or whatever.>>45586426It's mostly Dawn.>>45586455Tia is an expert at cheating on everything. She's a shapeshifter, and very good at it.>>45586439Yeah, you're right. Good night everyone!
>>45586455Can we give Tia an energy bar or mechanical resource based on Maka, that she can use to empower actions related to saving/helping/banging Maka?
>>45586483Bye bye EF
So, what kind of jeans were we talking about? Because Daisy Dukes would be nice.
>>45586499That's called Solar Bond.
>Maka's ass on the left
>>45585692>>45585663Are there actual dragons in Exalted? I really know so little about the setting.
>>45587744Sorta. They're powerful elementals that take on some aspects of godhood. They tend to be really indolent and lazy because if they try to meditate and improve themselves they'll get more powerful, and if they get too powerful they become a greater dragon, granting them immense size and strength, and making them violently insane.
>>45587744Not like western dragons, but Dragon Blooded aren't called that for no reasonAll the dragons in Exalted are the long snakey Eastern dragons, they're the highest level form any elemental can become, like Glorious Tide and Flame are lesser dragons and the five Elemental Dragons that blessed the DB.
>>45587744There used to be proper dragons, but they're extinct. There are the Lesser Elemental Dragons, both those are a form of Spirit. The five Greater Elemental Dragons sleep withing the five elemental poles.
>>45587876Not exactly, the correct order is lesser, like Flame and Tide, the Greater like the Kukla, and at the top is just the Five Elemental Dragons. They also aren't extinct, are you thinking tje Dragon Kings? They aren't extinct either, or really dragons.
>>45588069Worth noting that the five elemental dragons are the third circle souls of Gaia, one of the two primordials who helped the Gods overthrow their fellows.
>>45588069No, in the first age they had animal dragons, but they may have been artificial creations.
>>45588464What page of what book has them?Because that's just Misho's AI friend from earlier in the comic
>>45588642MEWCAI is just a holographic representation of the AI, that's an actual mount.
>>45588464>>45588672No, we don't know what that is, because they never say or show it again after that one single page.More importantly dragon in Exalted only refers to high essence elementals, nothing else is a dragon.
>>45588906Unless you decide to make up a race of created or wyldborn dragons and have them be called dragons.
