Sorry, no pastebin for this yet. I'm a little busy these days so I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to putting pastebins together right now!Twitter: https://twitter.com/MercCommandArchive (Thread 1): http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Infinte+Stars+Quest%2C+Space%2C+Sci+Fi%2C+Collective+GameOther Quests: http://pastebin.com/g5TtAaeeYou are Captain SAMANTHA WELLINGS, a newly minted captain of the Centauri Accord!Currently, you had stopped the Hegemony flagged freighter Conveyor 5410, which had been trespassing through Accord space. After a skirmish with its mercenary escort forces, your helmswoman Amy had managed to chase the freighter down, with a bit of harrowing flying. Now, under the threat of Gullinbursti's guns, the freighter has stopped fleeing, giving you and opportunity to board it and see just what it was doing in this part of space."Captain, Tank indicates that he's ready to go." Bradford states.>You should go with him to see things in person>Stay on the bridge and observe from here.>Other

>>45408361>Stay on the bridge and observe from here.PARTY TIME
>>45408361You decide to stay on the bridge and observe from there. With your tactical display, you could see through Tank's optics as if you were there yourself. No need to needlessly endanger yourself or anything."Tell him he's clear to launch." You say. "Elsa, and hint of a weapons lock and you waste that freighter, got it?""Still got the cannon warmed up and ready." Elsa gives you a thumbs up. "I'm almost hoping they do!"You roll your eyes as your tactical display pings, notifying you that the shuttle had launched. You see the small angular craft detach from Gullinbursti's bay and putter over to the Conveyor 5410. Thankfully, there didn't appear to be any weapons locks, and the small craft docks without issue. That's when you switch over Tank's feed. On the screen, you could see Tank sitting inside the shuttle, with a mix of both regular and robotic soldiers. Tank and the soldiers were clad in power armor, while the drone troops had their natural armor plating. All of them were armed with standard plasma rifles, with Tank being the only exception. His rifle was slung on his back, his primary weapons being his trusty combat shield and a sword-sized stun baton that fizzled and crackled with energy. The lights inside the shuttle go red, indicating a successful docking. Almost immediately, the drone troopers rush out, a boarding shield in on arm and a plasma rifle in the other as they breach and clear the hallway. Tank and the regular troopers follow close behind. Tank's helmet scans the hallway. Nobody."Looks like there's no welcoming party." Bradford grumbles. "Suspicious.""Maybe they ran?" Amy suggests."Maybe an ambush." Elsa shrugs.>Pull them out. >>45409006>plasma guns for boarding actionsIs that a Babylon 5 reference I see?
>>45409065The bridge itself could be a trap and the crew are hiding in secret compartment somewhere, ready to spring their own trap.
>>45409006"Tank, take the bridge." You instruct. "We need to find someone to talk to."Tank nods and makes a curt gesture towards the stern of the ship, where the bridge was located. The nice thing about Conveyors was that their layouts were standardized, so they were practically identical to one another. The drones lead the way, forming a shield wall as Tank and the regular troops bring up the rear. As you pass through the hab block, all of the overturned items and half eaten food indicate that whoever was living in here left in a hurry. No doubt all taking shelter in the bridge of the escape pods. Tank meets no opposition until they reach a set of blast doors, the ones leading to the bridge. You don't even have to look to tell that they're sealed. You can almost feel Tank fuming at how BORING this whole ordeal was becoming. >>45409489"All right, Tank." You sigh. You honestly didn't have a lot of time to waste here, and Tank was nothing if not efficient at his job. "Have at it." You almost think you hear tank chuckle as he steps up to the door. He doesn't need special breach tools or explosives. You can hear the servos in his legs wind up and he simply kicks the blast doors with all his might, literally denting them in. The drones follow up by grabbing the edges of the blast door and peeling them open like wrapping paper. The next two drones rush the gap, weapons raised and you can hear a cacophony of shouts from inside."Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" You see a man, presumably the captain, frantically waving his warms in the air. "We're innocent!" As the boarding team secures the bridge, Tank stomps forward right up to the captain, his form towering almost a full two heads over him. You can see the captain visibly shrink under Tank's imposing form and expressionless mask. Tank simply digs into his belt, takes out a comm device, and pushes it into the captain's hands."This is Captain Wellings of the Gullinbursti." You say through the comm line. "Who am I speaking to?""U-um, Captain Teelow, of Conveyor 5410." The man stutters. "Please don't hurt us!""Oh, we won't. Yet." You say. Tank cracks his powered knuckles for emphasis. "First, you tell us why a Hegemony ship like yours is casually flying through Accord space.""It's the pirates!" Teelow waves his arms frantically. "They forced us to carry cargo for them!" "What kind of cargo?""I-I don't know!""Sounds awfully fishy." Bradford mumbles to you. "Just those four corvettes holding a whole freighter hostage?""Well, its not like they're armed." Lida says casually. "Always the chance they're hired muscle." The drones immediately begin the detainment process. You had to remember to thank Scott for going through the trouble of reprogramming their AI to understand Tank. With the bridge under control, Tank spins around and starts stomping for the hold. It takes a few minutes, since he has to go back all the way through the hab block, but soon enough, he reaches the first of the many cavernous holds, filled to the bring with cargo containers. All unmarked, obviously. Judging from the total carrying capacity of the freighter, there had to be millions of tons worth of lobster on this ship alone."FUCKING LOBSTER?!" Amy bellows. "We destroyed four ships and nearly pancaked ourselves on a goddamn asteroid FOR FUCKING SEAFOOD?!?!?!""To be fair, while it may be considered a common dish on Earth, fresh lobster is considered a very rare delicacy on the outer worlds, along with a number of other certain shellfish.""Goddamn. Well I went into the wrooooong line of work, then." Elsa grumbles."Why in the world would they be smuggling lobsters?" You frown."I'm guessing it's smuggled lobster being used to fund other illicit activities." Bradford says. Tank taps his helmet with a loud THUNK, indicating he was waiting for orders."Well, what do we DO with it?" You blink. "I'm a ship captain, not a fisherman!""Well, I guess we could just two it back to base. I'm sure we'd get a nice bounty or finder's fee." Bradford crosses his arms."Or..." Elsa chuckles. Rock is melted into molten slag, and eventually vaporized by the pure energy of your shot. Some of the ion beam energy manages to make it through, scoring deep burns and rents into the hull of the pirate ship."Confirmed hits, but no confirmed hull penetration." Lida tells you. "It looks like Lavender Kiss is trying to run."Indeed, the pirate ship was now running deeper into the debris field. Did she realize she was outmatched? From what you got from her personnel file when she first transferred in, she had credentials from a number of Earth's most prestigious schools, quite a few of them not even related to medicine. By all accounts, from what you've seen, Natalia would have been at home at any research clinic or lab anywhere in Terran space. It sort of made you wonder why she decided to settle for being a lowly ship's doctor. However, you had never really thought to ask Natalia her exact circumstances. Natalia didn't really seem to think about talking about it, so you decided to respect that.Still didn't change the fact that she was weird as fuck."Oh, Captain, I never thought I'd see you here." Natalia gives a motherly, yet somehow devious smile when you enter the medlab. "You cannot believe how DISAPPOINTED I am that neither Tank nor any of his men had the good graces to get injured in combat! Leaving a young doctor like me in this cold empty lab all alone!""I'm sorry you didn't get any research subjects today." You chuckle nervously."Well, anyways, what brings you here today?"
