This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, shortly after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Chunin graduate named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence, and your jack of trades skill set have brought you far. You have just recently graduated to a Chunin after winning the final tournament, and it is several days after. Your first mission has begun.http://pastebin.com/StG3jpr6

I've been sitting these out since the second part of the exam started.Good on you guys for getting to Chuunin.

>>44822951I'm so far ahead of you anon
>>44822948>Good on you guys for getting to Chuunin. What'd you expect? All these other guys may be 10x stronger than us, but they're all scrubs who don't know how to use their power.
>>44822948Guile and treachery will always over come natural skill and misapplied talent.
>>448229794>>44823012I knew I should've trusted you guys to beat all the powerhouses with tactics and strategy.Right, time for some catching up!
The path that you're walking on slowly grows more and more remote, and thin. You take several forks in the road deeper into the rolling hills and forests of the south, walking for about a full hour until reaching a small bridge. It's large enough for about two horse carriages to pass through, and painted red. For the most part, the group has been quiet. You can tell that aside from your friend, they're a pretty serious bunch. Naota doesn't speak a word as expected, and Yasu simply keeps in line with her father's lead. The five of you step onto the bridge, and Sarasu suddenly stops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQQ6QBmRAFAHe looks to the left, and to the right. The man completely halts all movement, and everyone around you is making a point to be especially still. Maybe he's listening? Sarasu turns around, and looks at the four of you. "The river..They're using it to cover their movement. I can't hear them, and we won't be able to detect their vibrations for tracking. Well, I mean, I don't know that they're doing that, but.."Yasu grins. "It's what you would do, if you knew we were coming."He nods. "That's right. Would you provide us some cover, Takkun?" He raises his arms up in an odd sort of handsign. "Sir!" "Hidden Mist Jutsu!" Fog flows freely from the river into the forest in front of all of you, thickly obscuring sight. Yasu starts to walk forward. "We should really use the forest to circumvent them..But, there are several options here. What do you think, Takeshi?">A. Split into two groups. One goes forward on the path, the other goes through the forest and flanks the enemy from behind. (Specify who goes where)>B. Stay in one group and go forward on the path. The five of you are tough enough to handle anything, with some cover.>C. Stay in one group and try to circumvent the enemy completely through the forest.>D. Write-in
>>44823112>A. Split into two groups. One goes forward on the path, the other goes through the forest and flanks the enemy from behind. (Yasu and Takeshi flank. Takkun, Sarasu and Naota follow the path.)
>>44823112>D. The two fastest and stealthiest should scout ahead, do some recon, and report back. Being undetected is more important than gaining full intel. We can't make plans until we have some idea of what's ahead.

>>44823025Brace yourself for a lot of waifushit, son.
After a brief moment of discussion, you decide among yourselves that Takkun and Naota are the ones most suited for a recon mission. You suggest that they scout ahead and report back with information before you act as a group, especially if you're considering splitting your forces.Sarasu chuckles at this. "Thorough. It's generally against my nature to be that way, but it's truly the right path if we want to be the safest. We will wait here for a short while until the two of you report back."The pair leaves you, silently slipping into the mist. Now it is just you, Yasu, and Sarasu, and you quietly take cover behind the trees nearby. The air is still, and quiet, the mist unmoving. You'll have a little time. Is there anything you want to ask or say to Sarasu or Yasu>A. Yes. Write-in>B. No, wait.
>>44824196>B. No, wait.
>>44824196I have totally forgotten who these people are. That's not a write-in, it's just a sudden, disconcerting realization.
>>44824196>A. Ask about Sensei. We know him as a drunk who tends to be pretty hands off when it comes to teaching and encourage self-sufficiency. What's he really like?
>>44824196>B. No, wait.I got nothing
>>44824246They're your sensei's family. Yasu is his younger sister, a Genin, and Sarasu is his father, also a Jounin
>>44824276>>44824253This is a horrible idea unless you are trying to make these two not like you
>>44824196>>B. No, wait
>>44824196>>B. No, wait.
>>44824196Not by any means an urgent question, Mini, considering we're about to enter an action sequence, but...Is it possible for us to learn puppeteering, in the future? I've read arguments in previous threads, but they mostly seem rooted in filler.Basically: are puppets a skill the Leaf Village even offers? If so, is it something we can even train to a useful level without specializing in it? Like, we could stop our genjutsu training here and it'd remain useful - do puppets require significantly more investment before they start getting useful, cost of materials aside?
>>44824280>>44824253Aaaah.Well, this, then. Not in those exact words, but... sure, asking to know more about our (ex?) sensei could be fun. Even if it's not the right time or place.
>>44824372Every single time you've gone to the shop you've had the option to purpose a beginner's puppet to start training with. It's always available.
>>44824401...well let's just forget I ever asked that question
>>44824372I think a basic human puppet would work well with genjutsu. I don't think we should specialize in puppets though.
>>44824447Mechanical Owl named Archie?
You decide to quietly wait, stilling your mind and focusing on preparing yourself rather than wasting time talking. As your first mission as a Chunin, you don't want to disappoint in the slightest. It's roughly ten minutes before Takkun and Naota return, incredibly fast really. Either that or the enemy is close, just as Sarasu had expected. They tell you how there seems to be several small enemy forces placed along the road. The first is likely a lookout used to alert the others, but with the fog up they may have a difficult time. They tell you that it could be possible to push through with pure offense before they can react, or to try and pick them off one by one carefully. Perhaps even try to lead them back to the bridge.>A. Push forward with the might of your entire group>B. Move forward, picking off the enemy one by one>C. Draw them back, where the rest of your group will ambush them. >D. Write-in
>>44824447Yeah, god no. Specialization falls flat in Quest threads unless the QM enforces it, because voters want everything all the time. A little while ago we were talking about specializing in genjutsu, and then we spent our training arc picking up water jutsu and taijutsu, and our free Hokage-given jutsu on flash-steps rather than magic traps, and so on.I was just wondering if "puppets" were even worth including in the long wishlist of skills the thread wants to pick up.
>>44824563>B. Move forward, picking off the enemy one by one
>>44824563>>B. Move forward, picking off the enemy one by one
>>44824563>B. Move forward, picking off the enemy one by one"No sense taking risks. Let's take advantage of the fog, isolate each lookout, and take them out one-by-one."
>>44824563>C. Draw them back, where the rest of your group will ambush them.Use all our various clones to pull them into quickly made traps surrounding the area. Any of them able to dispel or see or clones we target first. Use the fog, and natural trickery to fool the weak minded ones to fight each other.
>>44824563>B. Move forward, picking off the enemy one by one.The item in question is the objective. If they have a Shinobi with them, tipping them off at all might prompt that shinobi to take the item and run.
>>44824563>Write-inTake out lookout, then have someone henge into him and lead out others into an ambush.
>>44824563>B. Move forward, picking off the enemy one by oneYou think the mist is your ally? I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't have a fair fight until I was already a Chunin. By then it was nothing but boring
As a group, you decide to use Sarasu's suggested tactics for stealth and engage the enemy by picking them off one by one. The fog has been up for a while now, so the enemy is likely suspicious while it remains thick. You'll have to be quick, but quiet. You huddle together, getting ready to spread apart as individuals. Takkun chuckles. "You know sensei, Takeshi isn't aware of our games. Do you wanna have a race, today? I think it'd be fun."The slightly wrinkled Jounin grumbles. "Perhaps..May as well. You see, Takeshi, we always like to see who can take out the most enemies the fastest by the end of the fight. Whoever has the lowest number has to pay for half of everyone's dinner when we get back."Yasu puts a hand on your shoulder, and leans in. "This isn't optional, either. You snooze you lose."Naota grins. "We should have lobster."Takkun chuckles. "You're just saying that because it's less likely you'll pay with more people here.." Sarasu stands up straight, and looks towards the fogs. "Alright! Enough chatter! We move through the forest until all the enemies are dead, and rendezvous once we've left the fog. Any questions!? You're all ready. The five of you dash into the woods, and you quickly lose sight of your team-mates, but keep a close eye on the road. In the distance you can dulled movement, what you imagine is your allies already attacking. You'll have to keep up if you don't want your wallet to hurt. You spot a man standing still, looking towards the road. You're standing on the opposite side of the street. You think you can see another figure up ahead deeper into the mist.>A. Throw a rock to cause the nearest man to look away, and then hit him with a senbon.>B. Use your Hydro Blade Jutsu and Shunshin to take them both out as fast as you can.>C. >>44825059Use false sound to say "Hi" them both from behind, then needles to the backs of their necks.
>>44825059>D. Just throw a pair of Senbon. Even with the mist, you can catch them both in the throat.
>>44825284>>44825059pretty much this
>>44825128Ooooooooooh shit Som getting called out! incoming QM feud
Wait, guys, what if they're set up specifically so that someone can see them through the mist. Spaced out just far enough away to see the next man in line.
>>44825431Nah, no feud, that was a solid burn.
>>44825106>>44825111between this>>44825284and this>A. >D. Attempt to hit the nearest man and the far man with senbon in the throats.

>>44825616>>D. Attempt to hit the nearest man and the far man with senbon in the throats.I mean if we can hit someone in the eye while doing a back flip we should be able to do this
>>44825616>D. Attempt to hit the nearest man and the far man with senbon in the throats. Can we do this while moving forwards? I feel like >>44825442 has some merit.
>>44825666You weren't doing a backflip. You don't have a 100% chance of making this. The dude is far away in the mist, and you're throwing needles at veins in his throat.
>>44825700Not necessarily veins. Trachea is also acceptable, as is the spine. Really, the only way it'd be bad is if we hit his tendons and nothing else.
>>44825733Spine trauma triggers me.
>>44825733Well you have to call your shot regardless. The standard point you'd aim for would be an artery, but if you want to go for something else, please state that.
>>44825760Throat in general. It's a vague impression of a figure some 20-30 feet away. We'll aim for the throat in general on the far one and hope for the best, and hit the nearest one in the usual spot.
>>44825760Aim for his dick
>>44825907KICK IT WITH OUR FOOT!
>>44825059>A.Even if we don't have to worry about friendly fire, one senbon is much more cost effective than any other option, if we can actually pick up the kill with it....oh wait, there's still the other guy. Well, we don't know there aren't *two more* guys there, or more...
>>44825961Ignore this. I'm retarded.Gonna call shot for throat for the far one. It's the biggest lethal target, I think.
>>44825997Quietly as possible, you draw two senbon from your weapon's pouch. You want to try and take care of this a little more quickly than you usually might, so you're going to take a tad bit of a risk. The man near to you seems to be just within the range of sigh of the second man, so if you're quick you should be able to take them both out before either can react. Carefully, you line your first shot up, aiming for a major artery on the nearest man's throat. With a flick, your silent weapon slips into his neck, and bright red sprays into the mist as his body crumples and he clutches at his throat.Adjusting your aim, you can see that the second man has started running forward to investigate. You throw your senbon before he can move too much, but your aim goes low and left as he turns slightly on a step. You hit him on his right collarbone, causing him to stumble briefly from the pain of moving his arm while running. He yanks the needle out, and is scanning the forest for you. He's either going to yell for help or run soon. What do you do?>A. Quickly use the Water Bullet Jutsu before he can react.>B. Use Shunshin to dash forward, and throw a kunai between his eyes. This is fast, but it will bring you out of cover.>C. Use the False Sound Jutsu to cause laughing to come from behind him. He may come closer.>D. Write-in
>>44826057>B. Use Shunshin to dash forward, and throw a kunai between his eyes. This is fast, but it will bring you out of cover.Damn. We really need to up our aim skills.
>>44826057>A. Quickly use the Water Bullet Jutsu before he can react.
>>44826057>B. Use Shunshin to dash forward, and throw a kunai between his eyes. This is fast, but it will bring you out of cover. Then quickly scan our surroundings for enemies and go for the kill with them in the same way.
>>44826057>C. Use the False Sound Jutsu to cause laughing to come from behind him. He may come closer.
You draw a kunai from your pouch, and silently curse to yourself. Well, there's no point in wasting time anymore. If you get left behind in this competition, you'll probably never hear the end of getting beat out by a couple of Genin. Granted, you and everyone else knows that's not really fair, but it won't stop the ribbing. As you contemplate your social life casually, you dash from cover and flick the knife between the man's eyes, and it slips into his skull. He hits the ground and you look up, seeing several figures standing ominously in the distance.Their stances lower, as you imagine they see you.---That's all for tonight folks. Starting to feel unwell unfortunately, but I have the next couple of days off. I'll run either tomorrow or the next day and I'll be around a short longer while for some questions.
>>44826363Thanks for running. Hope you feel better.
>>44826363Thanks for running, want us to keep this thread up so you can use it again?
>>44826057>C. This won't give away our position.
>>44826525Not particularly. If it's up when I'm about to run again, I'll use it, but if it's nearly full I'll just make a new one.So whatever happens is fine
>>44826603So any of our team mates pull full agro as well?
>>44826767Everyone is leaping from enemy to enemy, killing them before they have the chance to react.
>>44826801Did we just agro the entire camp? Are we going to have to cast a 4 bell senbon bell paralysis?
>>44826943nah, you only aggro'd this small group of dudes.
>>44827047So how likely is it we'll have to pay for everyone's food?
>tfw haven't studied at all because I spent all day catching up on Boruto QuestShit's too good
>>44829012I know right? Finish?
>>44829221Yeah. Shame I couldn't be there for the rest of the exams, but it was still quite a ride.I really like what Takeshi had going. Everyone was generally aware of all the available options, and would go into each match setting up for a finishing attack using all his options. It was really cool.
>>44829365Also with the exception of Anzai we hammered our foes early and often denying them time to set up on us. Your favorite fight?
>>44829365 Kon vs Takeshi
>>44829365I just want someone to ask how we got up and the end of the last match."Oh, didn't you notice? The entire match was planned around making him use up all his chakra in one big attack."That he didn't just get hit, but PLANNED to get hit from the beginning, will just fuck with everyone's heads.
>>44829408Hard to say, most of the fights had some really cool shit going on. I think I'd ultimately go with Takeshi v Boruto. Gotta love one last battle where you pull out all the stops.>>44829417If we're talking Chunin exam finals Kon, I'd say it'd be a good fight, but Takeshi might take it in the end. Kon was pretty susceptible to genjutsu, and that's what'd do him in. He had a powerful AoE and a counter to physical attacks with his KG, but I don't think he'd be experienced enough to take Takeshi down before he uses up too much chakra, and at that point it'd be over. Kon could do it if he rushed Takeshi down, but I don't see it happening.
>>44829619The moment we got up fro the Rasengan was sweet! Who your favorite girl(s)?
>>44829619>What would Kon teach Takeshi and what would Takeshi learn from Kon?
>>44829736My favorite is Yasu just because I like strong girls, but that's no reason for Takeshi to waifu her, so don't take that the wrong way. There needs to be a whole lot more development before there's any of that.>>44829756Kon is almost the opposite of Takeshi, he's highly specialized as opposed to more general. His bread and butter is Impact, which can't really be taught, and now senjutsu, which is high level stuff you don't teach to just anyone. Though having a combo release KG does mean that Kon has a fine grasp of molding separate elements. That is something that he could be very effective at teaching.
>>44829961Well Kon could teach impact if we follow Mini-verse rules.
Post pics of best girls
>>44829961So Laze got any more plan for epic fighting in your quest, have Kon pull out all the stops maybe give him a little bit of a chance to fight in front of a crowd and leave people gasping? Will Kon get a "Kon: The Last" as his final bit, he time he finally gets X waifu, the time everyone's threads end and come together?
>>44833638Mini said he might be back today, and the thread isn't even halfway to bump limitIt can't hurt
>>44834742Bumping for Ninja shenanigans and assassinations. The keikaku to become the hidden Hokage lives on in the heart of this anon.
>>44835604Isn't that basically what Boruto wants to do? Take Sauce's place?
>>44826363So for this, I recommend Haze clones (it'll go well with the mist) followed up by Paralyzing Bells. With that, we can move in and eliminate them with Hydro Sword. Any of them trying to run can easily be put down by Senbon.
>>44837273I'd Say bells first then haze clones, Also use shuriken or fuuma shuriken for runners since senbon require super precise aim which we lack at range from behind
>>44833262You'll definitely get more chances to pull out all the stops, and a couple fights in particular are likely to have plenty of spectators. As for any final developments, they're still somewhat up in the air. We still have a bit of a ways to go. From what Mini has said in previous threads, I expect the quest proper to wrap up roughly around the same time Mini finishes Boruto Quest's first half and takes a break. So people might be starving for their Nardo quests for a while.
>>44839057 ...Medabot Quests might have a reason to be done then. I'd rather not follow the show, and place it in an alternate universe. Hm...any suggestions?
>>44839177I'd do the same thing, just take the Medabots concept and run with it. Personally, I'd also not try and do some grandiose plotline with too much at stake, I think it'd go over better to just start as doing medabattles on the street, and work up to big tournaments. No fate of the world shit. That's just me though.
So who will Takeshi cripple next?
>>44840481Sarada if she ever tries to buck up and take us on
I hope at least one of the kids we beat get real vindictive about it.
>>44840715>Inb4 we accidentally take off the tip of her pinky and she calls us a cold blooded torturer>>44840812The only one who might be are our last two. Archer seems shocked we're as good as we are and didn't seem to hold a grudge, MAri just wants to fight us again because we're the best, and we fought Anzai with honor. Only Boruto or Kasagi would be salty over it, and Boruto is probably more shaken than salty.
>>44840812If we get out of the FriendZone with Azu that medical ninja guy who liked her might come after us. Also the on girl who eye we fucked up will likely hold a grudge.
>>44840882Anzai and Kichiro are top tier bros. A shame Anzai is not from the Leaf, he is pretty good.
>>44840990They are, and we impressed the Snow and befriended them. Which means later on we're probably going to be first pick for diplo missions.
>>44841097Good thing to, since we might get some new ideas for our water jutsu's when the time comes to go to snow country.
>>44841097>Naruto marries us off to Nyoko because something something diplomatic arrangement>ohohohohoho intensifies
>>44841306Boil + ICE release might have interesting combos>>44841940>Naruto deal with half this Generation's Kunoichi freaking out, Whether it Sarada's tinfoil, Mari wanting to fight us, or Ai missing her surrogate brother.
Best girl and why. Post! Also bump
>>44843671I know anons keep saying we got brozoned by Ai, but that just makes me want to get even more development with her. She's been totally cool with us so far, so I like her. Also Kayo seems bro as fuck just like her dad, so we should hang out with her more too.
>>44843750Yeah we need to talk and see Kayo more.
>>44843750>>44844282Indeed. Kayo is pretty cool. And she has a cool dog. Lucky Inuzuka's with their cool dogs.
>>44826603Which will be when?
>>44845620He said he has "the next couple of days off" so if he intends to use them to run, it'll be today or tomorrow
Excellent, I've finally caught up. The archives kept me entertained during a boring night shift job, so thanks guys.
IA IA MINI-SERIATH IA IA
>>44850370>Best Girlwish you guys would give her a chance...
>>44850982No logical reason to seek her out. We're about 2-3 years too young to actually date.>inb4 Takeshi ends up the guy every girl wants to go out with.
>>44851003>not best husbandoSeriously tho shikadai is grade A material.
I'm wondering when we'll get to make our summoning contract. Probably after this mission?
Come on Mini, don't fail us now
>>44843671Personally I'd probably go for an older Himewari. She just seems like a nice person to be around. Kayo would also have been an option if I wasn't allergic to dogs and cats.As far as Takeshi goes I've got no clue. I don't dislike any of the girls, and preferably I just want him to really get to know most of them before the eventual routelock.>Implying players won't just jump in bed with the first available option
>>44851403No doubt, Shikadai >>>>And if we can't go the Shikadai Route, there's still Kayo. She's a bro and she's of the best girls.
Also, about the idea of training with Kurenai, what do you guys think? We would be able to focus on genjutsu and get really good with it, but i think it may limit our other options.
>>44856947I honestly can't think of a better Konoha jounin to train us than Kurenai.I guess Kabuto could be secondary option, but that's more to fill in the gaps.
I'd really like to see how far we can go with genjutsu, it gets the least love in the series unless you have magic eyes
>>44856947>>44858066Kakashi is probably better than both. If we can get him to agree
Is it possible to recreate Hiden jutsu? Like if we somehow got Shadow Possession into a scroll like they use for kote, could we analyze it until we could perform it?
>>44858284You're assuming he's training AI after the tournament. I mean he could very well shunt her into the Anbu now.
>>44858314>I mean he could very well shunt her into the Anbu now.Not while she remain a genin.
>>44858137Kakashi hardly used genjutsu, I can't remember a fight that's not Zabuza where he used it
>>44858396Kakashi hardly uses any jutsu other than Chidori and Sharingan-bullshit after a certain point.
>>44858396He can use lots of Jutsu, but writer laziness denied him the wide repertoire he was supposed to have. He's supposed to know almost as many Jutsu as Orochimaru across a variety of disciplines.
man we need to become genjustu Orochimaru or something, just so the uchiha don't get to hog all the OP genjutsu that shit is so strong they can warp reality
>>44858488Kakashi is sort of like a wizard who knows nearly all the spells in the world, but only has 6 Spell Slots each day due to his shit chakra reserves.
Does anyone else feel like Takeshi might actually be offended at this group's lack of team cohesion? They basically all fucked off to do their own thing with little to no regard for other members of their team and have a game of 'Who can get the highest killcount.' That kinda shit doesn't really fly in the ninja world, and seems like something that might get to his tactical sensibilities.
>>44858657He has plenty of chakra, he just keeps to few spells by DM fiat so he doesn't overshadow the pcs.>>44858854Sarasu okayed it so while he might not like he'd get over ruled
>>44858854Well, Takeshi's main selling point is his ability to adapt to any situation or enemy even when he has only basic jutsus at hand. So i don't think this kind of group would be a big problem to him.>>44858137Kakashi is good, really good, but he's already taken. And genjutsu isn't really his focus. He is more of a ninjutsu/taijutsu guy. Kurenai, on the other hand, is a genjutsu specialist, and the only one i remember without bullshit eyes.
>>44859103>>44859166Rank and adaptability aside, it might be a point of contention.
>>44860333There's no reason to bump the thread unless it's at page 10
>>44860457Like I care Bump
>>44860784Doesn't matter much to me. You'll just put it at its bump limit faster.
>>44863964I don't know who this is, but I approve. All I can tell is it's a Hyuuga. Or Bort's sister. I'm not good with names.
>>44865408Mari Hyuga, the girl we nearly disemboweled in our second match.
>>44865497We nearly killed the girl with twintails? What's wrong with us?
>>44865512We are a independent ninja who needs no woman
>>44865512To be fair she wasn't taking the fight seriously after promising to beat us to a bloody pulp. Also most of us thought that since she was talking a big game, she'd be able to dodge. Especially with her Byakugan up.>>44865530Need them? No. Appreciate their fine forms? Eventually.
>>44865530Wanting them, however...>>44865549Oh, well that makes it better.>>44865497At least it wasn't what happened to sand girl.>Bring sand girl ice cream as an apology.
>>44865685>Oh, well that makes it better.Well when she KNOWS we're about to hit her with bell paralysis, and instead of cutting the wire, our closing rapidly, decides to try and get in a shoot out with us. That's pretty arrogant. Also Archer recovered a HELL of a lot faster from stage one a than she did. Most anons thought they were going to be throwing into a rotation.
>>44858854I was actually thinking the same thing.Don't worry, though. I don't think he'd actually do anything about it. He might not like it, but he'd accept it.Still, though. It's this kind of thing that perpetuates the flashy ninja culture that makes everyone focus on bloodlines and speshul moves and shit.Granted, that focus is what allowed us to win the Chuunin Exams, so I can see him having mixed feelings about it. The more people believe in it, the bigger his combat advantage, but the worse his social disadvantage, like in situations like this. Takeshi is a precision killer. He doesn't kill hordes of enemies, he takes out the one guy that can wreck everyone's shit.If anything, he'd probably be annoyed that ninja from *his* village think the way they do, but he'd also probably want enemy/rival ninja to think that way.But yeah. Ever since we Solid Snaked a Jinchuuriki Gear and got halfhearted applause for it, I've been feeling the salt myself. I mean, we won the Chuunin Exam, so that washed a bunch of the salt away, but still. I'm just an Anon. I can only imagine how salty Takeshi must be feeling about it. Even if he doesn't admit it.Still, while he'd be slightly offended, he's still game. After all, >>44859166 has a point about adaptability, and through this Takeshi may learn that he has no crowd control moves--ate up a bunch of burritos with wire and a Fuuma. Nevermind. The Adaptability point still stands, and Takeshi seems like he's up for friendly competitions from time to time. Like the epic fistfight with Grey Fox.
>>44866000>Granted, that focus is what allowed us to win the Chuunin Exams, so I can see him having mixed feelings about it. The more people believe in it, the bigger his combat advantage, but the worse his social disadvantage, like in situations like this. Takeshi is a precision killer. He doesn't kill hordes of enemies, he takes out the one guy that can wreck everyone's shit. But that exact reason is why he shouldn't have one the chunin exam. Everyone thinks of him as some super spheshul sekrit badass, but he's just a ninja with a good work ethic. That same work ethic might have him say something/have a small rant when prompted.Which would be plenty of fun to have him explain to people, step by step, why the moves they've spent so long perfecting are completely superfluous when compared to much easier, much more efficient jutsu that are only lacking in one or two aspects compared to their flashy shit. For example, if Yasu has time to be swinging around a sword as big as she is, she has time to move in with an even lighter sword, kill the guy, and be moving on to someone else. Or just, ya know, use a chakra-metal tanto like a normal fucking ninja. Hell, with this mist technique, there is no reason we should even be seen.
>>44866211Keep in mind we run on anime physics, swinging a giant sword may be just as easy for her as a boot knife. I mean, look at Zabuza, he was renowned for silently offing people with a sharp lump of irob
>>44866211>if Yasu has time to be swinging around a sword as big as she is, she has time to move in with an even lighter swordTo be fair, she basically uses it like a big, sword-shaped bludgeon.>It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron.
>>44866385>>44866407Also also to be fair, she's not just fighting other humans. There's all kinds of oversized shit in the world, and plenty of shinobi have really strong physical defenses, things a normal sword couldn't swat away or penetrate like something with the mass of pic related
>>44866502She could probably use it as a basis for more advanced jutsu in the future
>>44868330The "surfing on a huge-ass sword" jutsu is the only one that comes to mind that could be more useful for that one in comparison to a smaller one.
So...Who Himawarifag here?
>>44868660Yeeeeeeeeeeeeees, reveal yourselves for the plebs you are so that we can round you up and gas you.[REDACTED] MASTER RACE!
>>44868660She's alright. Still want to get to know all the girls before I pick one.>>44868707Marifag pls
>>44868737>implyingMari's barely better than Hima. It's all about [REDACTED].
>>44868960Try again.Okay, I'll tell you. I'm not redacting my choices name. I'm suggesting that we should instead waifu the very concept of redaction.
>>44869030We all no training is the only true waifu
>>44869030It's possible, we just need to seal the concept into a girl.
>>44869267The [REDACTED] Tailed [REDACTED], truly the most fearsome fiend among the tailed beasts
>>44869362Yes, but we must find a suitable girl to bind it too. Pick!
>>44869655Well, [DATA EXPUNGED] is the most obvious choice. She is the best girl, after all.
One more bump before bed.
>>44871432Don't worry anon, I'll watch over the thread.
He's not coming back.Boruto Quest: End
Come on Mini
this one is for you mini!
Pls come back mini...
Let the thread die already.
>>44866000>>44866211You know, now, I legit hope that Naruto asks us what he thought of the team.
>>44880452as do i

>>44885895This one is the same as the one used in Australia.
Has mini forsaken us?
>>44887167Looks like. Someone should post more pics to bring him back!
>>44887167RIP mini. They died for our sins.
>>44887167No, one day our lord and savoir will return and with him a beautiful Boruto Quest Update will be brought to us. A reward to us for our dedication.
>>44887272Which is why we must keep this thread alive until He gets back!
>>44887272>>44887324Come brothers let us prey for our lord to return, and for our waifus and the waifus of our enemies to be beautiful and well written.
Maybe we should start a patreon for him so he can quit his job and just run quests full time
it shall not die
watch him come back and just start a new thread anyway
>>44887797God bless our lord who art in /tg/ please bring us an update, amen.
You guys need to chill out. The dude will make another thread when he's running.
>>44890922Get thee away from me, Satan!
rip the dreamnight
>>44891792you colossal faggot
>>44891879don't worry, thread _4yu
We should ask Grandpa Hiashi to trains us in the art of Keikaku. Slowly, we would steal Boruto's family.
>>44895113>steal boruto's familyThat is not an ambitious keikkakku.A true keikkakku can make boruto into our best pal.Now that is a keikkakku
still not dead
>>44897548That is not dead which can eternal lie, and in strange eons even death may die.
I was thinking, Takeshi is the perfect ANBU. He acts like a professional, his main strengths are adaptability and planning, he has shown that he can use everything in a fight (from taijutsu/genjutsu/ninjutsu to poison and the arena) to his advantage and his main strategy is to take out his enemies before they can use their most powerful abilities.ANBU should call him right now.
>>44898743The only reason they haven't is because him going poof this soon after exams would raise red flags given how prestigious this exam was over others. Most nations are going to be watching him for a while.
>>44898912but that's just it. Even if he DID go poof, his skillset is so goddamn generic that noone can actually pin any single incident on him.
>>44898944The bells are actually pretty telling. Not many nin know it.
>>44899009Sure, the bells are. We'll just use something else, find another vehicle for that same jutsu. The whistle of Fuuma being thrown through the air might work, for example.
>>44899028That'd be even more unique and therefore even easier to place. Good idea mind you, just saying.
>>44899009Well, alternatively, we can return to the village with three scrolls worth of criticisms about how Sarasu and his team did. We'll be known for something, then.>>44899081We're known as the kid with a talent for deception and misdirection. We could spec in Taijutsu from here on out if we decide to go ANBU."It pays to be obvious, especially if you have a reputation for subtlety." -Asimov
>>44899120I'd rather spec to be good overall rather than specialization. Too easy to get countered being a one trick pony.
>>44899164We can gain proficiency in skills one at a time. We have fundamentals, so it's time to make progress down the various skill trees. Hitting them one at a time is just my suggestion, since speccing in Taijutsu for now might pay off in the short term
>>44899195Rather get some more water Jutsu and learn fire so we can do Boil stuff
>>44899240I personally put this as a high priority, the faster we get another chakra nature, the more time we have to get new jutsu for it, and that gives us more versatility than anything else
>>44899240I would say Lava is superior, but Ruko already has blood manipulation. The bastard. I wanted bloody puppetry! But yeah, if we're going to get another release, I'd prefer lightning. Gale style is the SHIIIIIIIIT and lightning would be an amazing asspull once we've soaked an enemy. Water and fire just don't have the same synergy, whatever sort of acid mist Terumi pulled.
>>44899120Honestly, i think learning medic stuff is a better option. Combat medics are really fucking dangerous, and we could kill without leaving a mark. Mix that with some genjutsu and stealth based taijutsu and Takeshi would be a fucking ghost in the battlefield.
I just want summoning
>>44899365>What happened to the bodyguards?>They're dead sir.>What? ALL OF THEM?!>Yes sir, all 128 of them.>Well what the fuck happened?>It appears they died of natural causes.>...128 guards are dead.>Yessir.>Of natural causes.>Yessir.>...fuck it, I quit.
>>44899411>Takeshi Official Body Count: 0> Hey, what about that kid who won the chuunin exams?> His 15minutes of fame ended and he just became another gua... UGH> Holy fuck, he's having a heart atta... UGH> Takeshi's Official Body Count: Still 0
>>44899508>Takeshi's new themesong: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy-QmgdUVTI
>>44899320We can learn wind or fire next for ice or boil respectively. Mini's ruling
>>44899548And that was how Takeshi found his one true Waifu. genderbent Shikadai.
>>44902688Thread's dead dude.
>>44903778THAT IS NOT DEAD WHICH CAN ETERNAL LIE BITCH
>>44903866AND WITH STRANGE EONS EEN THREADS MAY DIE, FUCKFACE!
Are we gonna burn out the post limit before he gets here?
>>44909279>it's not like I want you to notice me baka!
