Become The Vampire Quest 14You run upstairs, dreading what you might discover. You can already hear shouting and growling before you reach the second floor, and when you reach the third you hear a sharp cry of pain, followed by a series of strained whimpers in time with dull, repetitive thuds. You hurry to the doorway, looking in while pulling out your phone. The sight before you freeze. You knew what you were expecting, but knowing didn't prepare you for it.Jennifer is on the floor, robe in tatters, with a fully shifted Patrick over her. He's holding her down, with his jaws gripping the side of her neck and his claws digging into her hips as he yanks her against each brutal thrust. Jennifer thrashes weakly under him, trying to kick at him, pulling at his wrists, but Patrick doesnt let up at all, even as she shifts and her retaliation grows more violent. You step into the room slowly, taking cautious, quiet steps."Patrick? Hey there. Sorry to intrude, I heard some yelling, and I can't help noticing Jennifer seems pretty reluctant."Patrick stops suddenly, releasing his hold on Jennifer and looking at you. Jennifer breaks away from him, crawling away and snarling. He seems to ignore her, his expression changing. You recognize the look though. It's the look Mark had before he attacked you in the shed, full of feral rage and lost control.Jennifer glances at you and leaps at him, making an attempt to hold him back. She slams into him from behind, arms around his neck, but he barely reacts at first. He gives her a brief stare before howling. He grabs her by the neck and flips her off his back, swinging her up and slamming her against the floor. Jennifer stops moving, you can't even tell if she's breathing, and Patrick advances slowly. You take a slow step backwards."Hey, uh... I can see this is a bad time. I'll go. You look like you're upset. How about I leave you be?"
I claim this first post for Jennifer.
>>44122250That's the second post.
>>44122265It's the first reply
>>44122287Doesn't change that it's the second post, and therefore without the claimed value.
Patrick's eyes narrow, and he lets out a wild howl. He lunges for you, and you duck and roll out the door. You spring to your fret and see him get lodged in the doorway, but it only buys you a few precious seconds to bolt for the stairs before he bursts through. He's faster than you are, but he doesn't have his wits about him, and his next swipe goes over your head as you duck and skid to the top step."I feel like there's been a terrible misunderstanding!"He takes another swing at you, and you leap over his claws before jumping down the stairs three at a time. Patrick tries to follow in a single leap and crashes into the floor right behind you, breaking his way free of the broken boards to chase you down to the first floor. You open your phone to the transformation app and duck into the kitchen, hiding behind the counter while you activate it.The suit winds around you silently, the fit a bit better this time around. The helmet has a little extra padding, and the suit itself is form-fitting. Patrick growls, and you slowly creep around to look at him, moving out of the kitchen as he enters at the other end. He sniffs around, following your trail to where it ended, and snarls. You glance at the stairs from your hiding spot. You can't fight Patrick head on like this. For one, he's not thinking properly, if at all. For two, he's fully shifted, and he was a big guy before. If you employ Meliora's fighting style then maybe, but even with the suit you don't know if you're quick enough. Plus there's the lack of silver. Priority one is outrunning him, and priority two is making sure Jennifer isn't dead. You take a single step towards the stairs when a soft chime fills your helmet, and Meliora's voice speaks into your ear."Hello, sir. Miniora version 1.2.1 fully operational. It appears you're fighting a werewolf. Initiating anti-werewolf protocols."
The hands of the suit slowly take on a silvery sheen, and you examine the metal plates emerging to cover your knuckles, slowly turning into silver gauntlets."Anti-werewolf protocols initiated. Primary weapons engaged. Suit armor density increased to resist slashing and biting. Limb enhancements operating at optimal levels. HUD activated."A green overlay appears in front of you, outlining Patrick's position. It might be echolocation or infrared or something. You can see he's slowly prowling the kitchen, examining cabinets and looking for you. You don't know if speaking would give you away, so you make a mental note to thank Miniora later. You wait for Patrick to open a cabinet and make some noise before making a break for the stairs. You reach them without issue, and you look behind yourself to see if Patrick noticed you. He seems to still be checking the kitchen for you, and you sneak your way upstairs, keeping low and avoiding the broken sections of floor. You can hear jars breaking in the kitchen, and you pick up the pace before he runs out of places to look. You find Jennifer right where you left her, in human form. The combination of Patrick's actions and her own shifting has ruined her clothes, but it makes it easy to check her injuries. You grab her blanket and wrap her up in it once you're sure her life isn't in danger. She's really light with the suit on, and you hold her carefully to avoid your silver gauntlets touching her skin.As you head out of the room with Jennifer you hear Patrick coming up the stairs, either hunting you or to finish what he started with Jennifer. You hug her to your chest and move towards the top of the stairs. You can hear him creeping his way higher, and you brace yourself. The moment he comes into view you jump over him, landing on his back and bounding down the stairs with Jennifer. Patrick snarls and barks, turning to give chase.
You head for the kitchen and skid through, setting Jennifer down before dashing out the other side to the living room. His advantage is his strength, but with the suit you're faster than he is, and the open space gives you more room to move around him. You know you won't be able to outrun him with Jennifer in tow, and if you run away he'll just go back to what he was doing. The only way to keep Jennifer safe is to put him down, as gently as you can manage. You ball your hands into fists as he advances on you, and widen your stance a bit as you lower your body.“Last chance, Patrick. I don't want to hurt you, and I don't want you to hurt me. There's gotta be some shred of you in there, right? You don't want to do this.”He snarls, and you nod a bit. Patrick, or at least, the man you respect as Sammy's father, has completely checked out. He probably won't even remember coming home, if Mark was any indication. He'll wake up and never remember a thing. No wonder he has no idea what he's doing wrong with Jennifer, he never remembers a thing once his instincts kick in. It's not his fault, inasmuch as it's not his fault that he loses all control of himself. You take a slow breath. First, a quick clash as a test. You wait for him to make the first move, planning your response accordingly. A charge and a swipe or bite from him, a sidestep or duck from you, followed by a quick jab, something to test the water. He runs in and swipes, and you duck under his arm before delivering an uppercut, nailing him in the chest and backing off as he staggers. The silver gauntlets are working as intended, and your blow appeared to have an affect. Admittedly all you did was piss him off, but for a brief moment you had him on his back foot.
You follow the same process a few times, watching him carefully and timing your dodges to create openings for small strikes. He's too wild and uncoordinated to land a serious hit on you, and your barrage of jabs slowly begins to take a toll. Maybe it's just prolonged exposure to silver, over and over again, weakening him by fractions. Either way, you're winning. Then you make the stupid mistake of overextending.Patrick catches your arm after one punch too many in a row. His grip is weaker than it should be, but it's still painful. He growls right in your face and throws you, sending you through the glass door and over the patio, landing on the ground outside after a few hard bounces and a brief roll. You lift your head and look at the patio, watching Patrick pick his way through the broken glass to avoid injury. You get to your feet as your HUD informs you that you're bruised all over. You didn't need reminding, but at least it's paying attention.Patrick leaps from the patio and advances on you, picking up speed. He's recovering quickly now that your assault has ended, but you're all shaken up and beaten, and the tide starts to turn, the fight transforming into a stalemate. For each round of jabs you get in, he smacks you with a solid right or forces you backwards. Your body is screaming at you, your HUD is warning you that you're approaching critical condition, and Patrick still isn't down. You can see in his eyes that unyielding, feral determination. You're going to die.
With his next swing you latch onto his arm, gripping tightly. He tries to bat you off with his other arm and you meet it with your hand, punching at his palm. You grit your teeth and hang on as he attempts to shake you off, bopping his face or arm whenever he tries to knock you off. It's all you can do, the only tool you have left in your kit. You hold on tightly, trying to weaken him as much as you can, aiming for a sucker punch or knockout blow each time he tries to bite you. Then, with an audible crack, you catch him in just the right spot, and he crumples. Patrick falls to the ground, limp and reverting to human form. You fall backwards, landing on your ass and panting hard. You disengage the helmet and sit there, staring at him. He's breathing, which is a good sign, though he looks worse than when Jennifer beat him up last time. His hands and wrists will definitely be hurting for a while. You close your eyes and steady yourself, using your hemomancy to ease your bruises a bit and massage your tired muscles. When you open your eyes you glance at Patrick before grabbing your helmet and heading back towards the house. You jump back up to the patio and head through the broken door, making your way to the kitchen. Jennifer is where you left her, and you kneel down next to her while stowing your suit away, patting her softly on the cheek. She stirs slightly and you smirk.“Rise and shine.”Jennifer lets out a whimper and curls up slightly, opening her eyes a fraction to look at you.“Where is he...? What happened...?”You gesture with your thumb towards the patio.“Taking a nap. I got lucky.”Jennifer nods and moves toward you, resting her head on your leg and making herself comfortable. The marks on her neck look a little better, but she's still moving clumsily.“The pack leader is defeated... You're entitled to a prize... Take whatever you desire...”
>Character sheethttp://pastebin.com/WWUrXQiH>RulesSame system as Become The Dragon Quest. If you don't know what that is, it's best of three d20 rolls. I name a stat that sums up what you're trying to do, and if I don't name a relevant skill, you try to fill in the blank based on what you're trying to accomplish. “Break open the door” might be Strength based, but if you've been playing baseball after school and there's a lead pipe nearby, you could apply your Baseball skill to the roll. A 20 on the die is a crit threat, and if either of the other two rolls is 20 or higher after mods, it's a critical. A crit fail is when you have two or more 1s. So far this system has worked out well enough. We'll get into combat rules as needed, but in basic terms you have wounds, not HP, and the worse the wounds, the more penalties you accrue while doing other things. Most Important Rule:Have fun.>I'll take the pack. You're under new management.>I'll take the mountain. This is my territory now.>I'll take you. You're free of him now, and you're coming with me.>I'll take you, but I don't want to disrupt things. At this point it's smut fags trying to fuck Jennifer and everyone else trying to get this talked out first.
>>44122887I dunno. We've gotta be aware of that scummy anon that wants to make this quest fail. And no, I will not forget that one of you wants misery and suffering for our MC.

>>44122989I am on my third cup of sambuca. Do not be a coward.
>>44123040And what you're proposing will literally destroy the Wolfe clan. not to mention Ruin Sammy's life just as it started to look up. Also be claiming her as our woman we're obliged to fuck her.>>44123053We talked to her and she said it'd do no good, we haven't tried talking to him, or even talking to them both at once.
>>44123070but are you Irish?
Seeing as there's two major sides in this discussion, I want to hear the clearest and most concise reasons why Oliver would choose each path. Then if no consensus can be reached, or at least something resembling consensus, we roll. So, what would Oliver do?
>>44123073Claiming her doesn't mean fucking her, and no, it won't destroy the clan. Sammy would probably understand the situation.
>>44123090Oliver wouldn't claim her, but still get her out of there. He's already come this far, leaving would put that effort to waste.
>>44123090If oliver leaves her in this situation, Patrick will eventually kill Jennifer, then, not only have we stood aside and let abuse occur, but we have also lost our potential magic mentor, and Sammy's parents are not just estranged, but her father becomes a murderer. And from everything we've seen, it's continuously getting worse.
>>44123093>>44123121>>44123144All of this. Plus a reminder that Jennifer wants Oliver to dominate her mind, not her body. There's no conflict that I can see.
>>44123090He would sit Jennifer down and put off claiming anything until he could talk to Patrick when he's not off his proverbial rocker. This is a big deal and Patrick clearly doesn't know what he does when his instincts kick in. They need to talk honestly and openly. In the interim he'd find a safe place for Jennifer to stay.>>44123093Claiming her means claiming her as our mate. End of story. She'd no longer be the alpha female, and Patrick wouldn't be able to stand as alpha male without her, not to mention the face he'd lose to losing to a punk hunter kid. Because we're claiming Jennifer AS OUR MATE, I highly doubt Sammy would understand at all.
>>44123090It's not particularly feasible to keep her in our dorm room with Meliora and we have nowhere else.Patrick isn't going to remember us defeating him, he won't appreciate taking his wife, and I doubt we'll manage to get on a level where we can defeat him without incredible luck anytime soon.
>>44123144>Patrick will eventually kill JenniferThat is probably the one thing I don't think we need to worry about. This has been happening for decades.>from everything we've seen, it's continuously getting worse.I have seen nothing indicating or even hinting at that.
>>44123090The reason Oliver would not claim her is that doing so would effectively announce him and what he's doing (and capable of) to everyone. Not only does it invite Patrick to come and fight him again to get Jennifer back, but word spreads that some human schmuck not only fought the wolfe clan pack leader solo, but won. Without killing him.On top of this, claiming someone has overt sexual meaning, as in claiming a mate. If we lay a claim over Jennifer, we might not be able to lay a similar claim over Sammy given the monogamous Winter Wolf lifestyle. Jennifer might be okay with breaking that, but it's highly doubtful that Samantha would be okay with her boyfriend doing THAT kind of thing with her mom, something that would be heavily implied even if we never actually did anything because of the meaning Claiming gives. Why bother rocking the boat that much when all you have to do is talk to patrick from a position of authority?
>>44123166>>44123172The reason Mark didn't remember was because of the golem using magic, which Oliver would have suffered from if not for our roomie's intervention.
>>44123090>Claiming herShe's ours forever as our womanShe's safe and soundCons>Wolfe clan and Patrick lose lots of face >The power bloc keeping the clan from collapsing fractures, leading to dissolution >Sammy loses her parents and gets ntr'd by her mom>We reveal ourselves to the world much much too soon>The Wolfe clan are effectively useless as allies now
>>44123214It was also extremely heavily hinted that he wouldn't remember any of this in the opening series of posts. And by hinted, I mean stated.
>>44123193>I have seen nothing indicating or even hinting at that.Read the aftermath from the last one, compare it to the current one, It's worse.
>>44123239She also stated in the first one that it's usually a lot worse, presumably such as this one, so again, no indication it's continually getting worse.
>>44123230No it wasn’t, it was just stated that he currently did not have his reason or facilities, not that he won't remember.
>>44123239That's the difference between him attempting to get her down and succeeding.
>>44123249So, leaving her on the verge of death is alright to you? I hope you never have to be responsible for an actual human life, anon. But regardless, Oliver wouldn't leave her in that situation.
>>44123090>>44123206Personally, I think this is good. He uses his as-yet-unstated claim as leverage to get Patrick to listen to him.
>>44123251>Patrick, or at least, the man you respect as Sammy's father, has completely checked out. He probably won't even remember coming home, if Mark was any indication. He'll wake up and never remember a thing. No wonder he has no idea what he's doing wrong with Jennifer, he never remembers a thing once his instincts kick in.You can say "oh it's golem magic" but going by the dialogue, Oliver doesn't think so, and this is an argument about his IC thoughts, not our OOC theories.
>>44123223>Claiming her>She's ours forever as our woman>She's safe and sound>She teaches us 7 other styles of magic beside blood magic.>Sammy has both her parents alive without one of them living in constant abuse and misery.
>>44123277No, you wouldn't leave her in this situation, and are trying to assert your morality onto Oliver when how we would behave in this situation is not a defined function of his character yet.
>>44123277He also wouldn't say now you're my woman to her. especially when it'd destroy the clan's support system, fracture it to the point of being worthless, and ruin Sammy's life.
>>44123308>Sammy's boyfriend is also fucking her mom, who wants nothing to do with her dad anymore.
So it seems the main arguments for claiming Jennifer are about protecting her, and the main arguments against are about sensible things like not destroying a clan full of people you like by decapitating their leadership at a critical moment. So, those against claiming Jennifer, can you come up with a way to keep her safe to end the moral dilemma? Talking to Patrick is a good start, but what other options can you come up with? Because I think not claiming her wins the debate, but if both sides can win then let's do that.
>>44123285>if Mark was any indication.Except when it was mark, Mel told us he had mindwipe magic used on him.
>>44123280I like this, for several reasons. Mostly because it's clever. Risky, depending on how you play your cards, but clever.
>>44123316But it is, based on every choice and promise we've made thus far. We told jennifer we'd do what we could to get her out of this. So it's bigger than we expected? Oh well. We already said we would.
>>44123332Set her up in the pool house of somewhere else in Wolfe territory while we give Patrick a "Romance for dummies" guide?Maybe work on a mental blood magic spell suppressing his werewolf instincts so he can actually not be an asshole in bed?
>>44123352It's your quest, but the first 4 votes were all for it, than we devolved into an argument.
>>44123352It's a decent threat, at the least. >"Patrick, sort your shit, man, or I'll use my claim to ruin you clan. I don't wanna, but fuck's sake, this isn't okay. She's not okay. This isn't what families should do." etc.
>>44123382The first three votes for it were also the same guy.
>>44123280>>44123352Then let's go with it. We don't actually claim Jennifer, but we leave the threat of it hanging in the air as well as leave him in the knowledge that if he doesn't make an effort, we can come back and beat him again. Even if he doesn't know just how difficult it was.
>>44123392Not true, because the third one was me, and I took the time to type out a detailed reasoning.
>>44123352Since Blood magic Affects Werewolf minds but not bodies, couldn't we try to suppress his baser instincts so it wouldn't happen again? Maybe give him a "romance for dummies" book too?
>>44123388>>44123396But he's acting normal for a werewolf, remember? It's "normal" for him. If anything, we should suggest it to Jennifer, since she's the one who will have to suffer through the repercussions.
>>44123437Well, this is our chance to MAKE him deviate from the norm.
>>44123437Actually, he isn't. Jennifer told you that werewolf males can smell if a female genuinely wants it or not. Patrick goes so wild he either stops caring or doesn't pay attention to the signs.
>>44123352I think before we go with that, we need to ask Jennifer if she's okay with remaining in danger. And we don't know if it'll take, since what we're doing is basically putting a "collar" on Patrick. As alpha, he's used to getting his own way or nothing at all.
>>44123463BTQM this>>44123423 accurate?
>>44123342IIRC, she only mentioned that we would've gotten mind-wiped, not that Mark would've, so it might just be that only humans that aren't supposed to be in the know get wiped and Mark forgot because instincts. The only other explanation is that Oliver must have forgotten, or he wouldn't have thought that, making the point immaterial to the argument, as it only pertains to what is in-character for Oliver.
>>44123463>>44123468Okay, but still. We're asking her to risk her life. The moment we leave, he could kill her to hide the fact that he lost, and just say he lost control. We know absolutely nothing about him but that he loves his children, likes to party, and abuses his wife.
>>44123332Get her an apartment, today, and maybe the talking thing.
>>44123083I'm Creole. Scottish, Cherokee, french,Comanche, Italian, and Irish.
Based on what's happened so far, I'm rewriting the choices. New vote.>Claim Jennifer and damn the consequences>Talk to Jennifer about your options, see what she has to say on the matter>Wake Patrick up, negotiate from a position of authority with your claim>Claim nothing but talk to Patrick anyway>Claim nothing and leave it at that>Other (write-in)>>44123483Werewolves are resistant to magic affecting the body, but have no such protection mentally, according to Jennifer
>>44123506We know he doesn't hurt her intentionally. That's all on the Beast. QM already said he doesn't remember shit when he's shifted.I doubt he's going to kill his wife in cold blood.
>>44123506Except that by all accounts he's pretty simple-minded compared to his wife.

>>44123538>>Talk to Jennifer about your options, see what she has to say on the matter>Look up a mental blood magic spell to nix Patrick's berserking while fucking instincts. That'd fix so much.
>>44123543That makes him more dangerous, not less. He won't think circles around his problems, he'll draw straight lines through them.
>>44123563No, YOU tried to decide that. I WANT to, but i'm trying to compromise here>>44123554
>>44123580Except he won't consider using force against us personally because, guess what, we just beat him in single combat. That gets the submissive werewolf juices flowing, ya know.
It only took us over 100 posts to get somewhere, yay.
>>44123587I am referring to >>44123332>Because I think not claiming her wins the debate, but if both sides can win then let's do that.
GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS!There's obviously something fucky going on with Patrick's head. Why don't we look up a Mental Blood magic spell that imposes a clear head on him so he won't act like Marc in the sack?
>>44123571Good on ya.>>44123563No, in the poll more of us were open to some form of smut than were opposed to it. The majority said it depends on the situation. If Jennifer wants this dick she's gotta do it in a way that won't hurt Sammy(which QM has said is possible)
>>44123638Actually, the majority said they didn't want it.
>>44123638Anything is possible with enough knives and cocaine. Or blood magic. It's one of those things.
>>44123625What happened last time we tried blood magic, anon? We lost like 5 hours, that's what.
>>44123651and before that, the FIRST time we tried it, we mentally dominated the FUCK out of Jen-yiffer. We get, like, a +4 to it, I think fortune favors us.
>>44123650Ah. So I assume this means that if we want to give both jennifer and sammy the dick we need to do some mind control fuckery. Presumably on Sammy since Jennifer doesn't really care and has said as much.
>>44123649>13 against>14 okay in some formDespite your attempts at ballot stuffing, anon.
>>44123625Seconded, let's try it
>>44123679You said the majority 'Depends on the situation.' The largest portion of votes goes to Nothing.
>>44123672We get a +2, which is great for learning it today, but the challenge is finding the spell, which we only have a +1 on, and we don't know that we could do it permanently
>>44123673Not necessarily. I said once that a harem ending is possible with luck and skill. I wasn't lying when I said that. The means and methods are on you to figure out.
>>44123679And you can count on the 10 that are entirely on the fence and could very well go with no as being votes to fuck her because...?I mean, I know my vote, which was for depends on what happens, is still going to equate to a "fuck no" as far as the quest is concerned for any time close to now.
>>44123702Depends on the situation means there are situations where they'd be okay with it anon, not blindly opposed. But like I said, I'm TRYING to compromise. You're just being stubborn.
>>44123673Sammy could probably be convinced if we went gradually and smoozed her well. Or we put it off until we become a vamp. we make them all blood thralls and then say that's what we want.
>>44123706If we can do it at all it will help a lot. It'd also Make us invaluable to the clan and Patrick himself.
>>44123712Does it involve gratuitous murder?
>>44123725I wouldn't mind compromise. I just don't want to remove Jennifer from the situation entirely. While it'd be good for just Jennifer on a personal level, it ruins things for everyone else. There IS a better solution than taking Jennifer away from Patrick and saying 'I don't want to do this anymore.'And before you get uppity about how your option was the diplomatic one, you and I both know that what she wants, what her input is going to be, is 'Take me out of this situation because I personally don't like it and I don't care if it makes things difficult for anyone else.'>>44123739It saddens me that this is the one quest on /tg/ with directly fucking with the minds of NPCs that are close to the MC is considered acceptable.

I was unaware that /tg/ had laws governing what is and isn't considered acceptable roleplaying. Besides, limiting Patrick's beast as some of the other anons suggest is just as much mind fuckery. And it's not like i'm suggesting we demand they love us, just that they tolerate each other.
The meta quest is becoming more entertaining than the quest itself.
>>44123836Just wait til the Jamaican shows up.
>>44123826You know what, fine. Have your harem and drag the quest down with you while you do it. It's 1AM and I have things to do in the morning.Go for claiming her, QM. The one guy who opposes it is gone.
>>44123866Sleep well, and we already had a vote.>>44123781
>>44123826If she leaves the clan, the clan will collapse, because she's pretty much the only person who kept it afloat politically. Additionally Patrick will be a right mess, and the Wolfe clan will lose all it's credibility because some punk hunter kid took out the alpha and claimed his woman. Additionally we put a massive fucking target on our back and ruin Sammy's family and life because hey we're fucking her mom.
You look over at the broken glass door and sigh."Whatever I want... Right now I mostly just want to make sure you're alright without ruining everything. I could claim you, but then the whole clan collapses. I mean, I started coming here specifically to make friends and allies. Tearing the Wolfe clan down doesn't help that at all..."Jennifer nods slightly but remains silent, and you decide to continue."On the other hand, I don't want to just leave you here like this. It's just going to keep happening, right? I can't just leave you to get assaulted every time your guard is down and your mind wanders. There's gotta be a winning move..."Jennifer gently nuzzles your thigh and opens her eyes."I will endure. If you take me away, I'll be happier, safer, but the clan won't last long at all. I can survive like this, like I always have. I'm touched by your concern... and I would happily accept your claim if you choose to take me from him. But you told me to reconnect with my daughter. Don't make me fear for her by shattering the force that keeps her safe at school, right after I've finally managed to open my heart to her."You chuckle a bit and close your eyes."You know just what to say to twist the knife, huh."Jennifer sits up slowly."I have years of practice being a cold bitch, remember? Manipulation is a talent of mine. My personal recommendation would be to let Patrick know who beat him, what your right is, and that you don't plan to exercise it. I've tried explaining what he does, but it goes right over his head. He thinks he's always in total control of himself. If you want to keep me safe without destroying the clan, carefully apply your leverage.">Go wake Patrick up>Tend to yourself and Jennifer, medic time>Have Jennifer go with you to wake Patrick>Other (write-in)

>>44123936You continue to presume footage was recorded.
>>44123901>Tend to yourself and Jennifer, medic time>Give Jennifer a hugThen >Go wake PatrickBut we need to be assertive about this. Make it clear he's completely hands off Jennifer now, and in exchange we will help keep the pack strong. Something along those lines. And that if he can't do it, we'll put him down, hard, again and again.
>>44123924That feels like more of a long term goal. You'd need to research the spell, assuming it's even at a level you can cast.
>>44123946>coupled with a spell>>44123914You DO remember that just healing wounds would take the sacrifice of the life of someone we loved, right? Blood magic isn't the cure-all.
Wait guys, wake him up first show him the damage he did hurting us her and the house. if he doesn't see the results he won't believe.
>>44123963Well, I guess we know the first thing we're going to need Jennifer's help learning.
>>44123965>just healing wounds would take the sacrifice of the life of someone we loved, right?Where did he say that? We can already heal our own wounds right now.
Smarts roll, +0Don't worry, I'll be gentle. This is for first aid. It's hard to screw it up.
>>44123945damn. well isn't there a spell that will basically help us share the experience of the fight with Patrick.check for a spell like that
>>44123965IIRC, that was a literal cure-all and it only required the sacrifice of *a* life, not necessarily one we loved.Your point is valid, though, it's far from a fix to everything.
>>44123951>>44123901I second this. Patrick is a simple minded wolf. We need to fit this in a context he'll comprehend. And not heal him til after he complies, so he understands the beating we gave him.
Rolled 8 (1d20)>>44123985fuck now he won't believe us when we tell him since we're healed up
Stop bleeding, yes. Heal? Nope.
Rolled 18 (1d20)>>44123985
>>44123983No, we can keep our blood from flowing out of our wounds, and we healed faster that one time, which was explicitly just a one time instance of a boosted healing rate. The ritual to heal someone explicitly required sacrificing a life.
op we need to learn other styles of magic
>>44124011That's the spell to heal all injury and ailment regardless of severity so long as the person is still alive. You don't cast Curaga for 2 HP.
>>44124002Because we're applying basic first aid, that means our wounds disappear? What?
>>44124002Nah, we aren't healing Patrick. It'll just seem like he couldn't even hurt us, while we hurt him.
>>44124010>>44124019Why, I do believe this is a success.
>>44124027There's a medical supply room, people know this to be true. I don't get why people are assuming magic either.

>>44124026Yeah, but as far as our knowledge goes, it's all or nothing when it comes to healing with blood magic, since we haven't discovered any other healing rituals.
>>44124043It's because we keep getting anons WHO HAVEN'T READ THE ARCHIVE. >mutter mutter
>>44124045there is nothing wrong with exploring the basics about the other so that we have SOME idea of what its like.
>>44124063Exactly>>44124045We have a potential mentor who catch teach us 7 different styles. And it's a mix of Blood magic and necromancy if we want to copy Dracula's ritual, according to legend.
>>44124045>He'll just think he got cheap shotted.Either he remembers, and know we ended up beating him down through luck, or he doesn't, and just knows we ended up giving him a beating.
>>44123901>Also mention "If you give me enough time, and training, I'll be able to protect her, and you, and hold everything together. Whatever we decide is just a holding action for now."
You get to your feet and stretch."I'm gonna grab the bandages and ointment. Maybe some pain killers for my muscles. Wanna get out some ice?"Jennifer adjusts the blanket carefully, making it into a toga and standing."We've got icepacks in the freezer. But I won't need any, I can manage this level of injury. It's not so bad so long as I don't let my mind fixate on it. I studied self-hypnosis and meditation techniques, I can nearly turn off my sense of pain completely."You shrug a bit and head off to get the supplies."Whatever works for you. I just didn't want you to get bored while I was gone."You gather up some rolls of bandages and a tube of ointment meant for scrapes, cuts and bruises. You smear some onto the places where you got banged up the worst and feel it tingle a bit. You return to the kitchen to find Jennifer sweeping glass by the broken door. She looks over at you."Would you like some help with those?"You set the bandages on the counter and sigh. You don't know how much of her tenacity is for show and how much is real, but you're not letting her injuries go untreated." Come here. I'm gonna patch you up."Jennifer sets the broom aside and sits down without a word. She adjusts the toga, keeping her intimate places concealed while allowing easy access to her injuries. She glances at you, an expression you can't quite decipher, before closing her eyes and waiting. You walk over and start applying ointment here and there, bandaging her more serious injuries. She's not bleeding, at least, not anymore, but better safe than sorry. Plus wounds heal faster while covered. You read that in a book once and you're pretty sure it's not a lie."Thank you."Jennifer looks you in the eye as you finish. You set the bandages aside and finish examining your own injuries."For what?"Jennifer gets to her feet and hugs your side."For treating me like a snowflake and not a glacier."
She turns and walks toward the stairs."I'm going to find some clothes he hasn't ruined yet. I'll be down shortly.">Wake Patrick and talk to him>Wait for Jennifer>Other (write-in)

>>44124268>>44124298Sorry, forgot to link. Sambuca's going strong.
Side note, you still have that spell charge. Now that you have a few spare moments while waiting for Jennifer, you can take stock of it. Imagine a bowl of liquid. For the sake of it, pretend it's blood. All your fighting and lack of focus on the spell led to blood spilling. It's still blood, but there's less of it. You'll need to focus magic into the spell to get it usable again, and in the future you'll want to worry about splitting your focus while holding a spell.
>>44124328Do mummies exist?
You wait for Jennifer to get changed and take a moment to tidy up after yourself, packing away your tome and making sure all your stuff is intact and in one place. After a few minutes Jennifer comes downstairs dressed in a long skirt and a sweater, her usual heels replaced with black flats. She'd look drab and plain in them if they didn't hug her body. They're probably the plainest clothes she has, and it makes you wonder if Patrick is the one buying her outfits to show her off or if she just enjoys dressing up."So, ready?"Jennifer nods a bit and you head outside, letting her trail behind you. You climb over the patio railing and help Jennifer climb down, before heading to where Patrick is. He stirs slightly on the ground, coming back to his senses slowly. You move to his side, and Jennifer positions herself behind you, a few paces away. Patrick looks up at you blearily, eyes unfocused."What happened...?">Write-in

>>44124612something along the lines of "How safe do you think your daughter would feel here, in her home, if she knew what you did while shifted?"
>>44124612>>44124638I don't think that's necessary, since we're establishing these rules based on our own power, not as a compromise, and that may make us look weaker. If he asks about sammy, then we'll talk about it, but let's try to keep her uninvolved.
>>44124646That sort of undermines our position of ordering him because we won. We aren't negotiating, we're setting rules.
>>44124646>>44124675I mean, we're doing this because we've proven that we're stronger than he is. That's literally the only reason he has to listen to what we're saying.
>>44124675It's not negotiating, it's pointing out to him how his behavior effects not just him and his wife, but the rest of his family, particularly his favorite daughter. We've got the win, but coercing him to seeing the fault in himself help make this not something to bear a grudge over.
>>44124700I dunno. Sounds weak to me. If I was in Patrick's position, I'd consider it a flaw and would be more likely to challenge again.
>>44124700>>44124729But what do I know? I'm just a drunk Creole who loves werewolves and werewolf lore.
>>44124729Your argument to not say it sounds weak to me.
>>44124759>>44124700But it's not something we should be talking about during the initial talk. That's something for him to think about afterwards. We don't want him getting distracted or misunderstanding anything we say because he's too busy thinking about other things.
You take a slow breath. Once, you had to chew out your own dad for being a drunk and a slob, coming in late and reeking of booze before collapsing on the couch. You later learned why, but at the time you were frustrated and let him have it. This is different though. You control your initial impulse and turn your anger at his wild side into determination to simply not back down."You were beaten. I caught you shifted over Jennifer, taking her against her will, and I stopped you. You told me you didn't know what you were doing wrong last night. Turns out you go completely wild and try to have your way even if she doesn't want it. You were choking her and hurting her. And that's stopping for good."You can see the confusion spreading across Patrick's face, and he sits up."That's... hard to believe. Sometimes I black out, but when I shift I'm in control."He looks to Jennifer and smiles."Jennifer, tell him. I don't remember, but I know I'd never-"You can't see Jennifer's face without turning around and ruining the front you're presenting, but whatever look she just gave him, it broke his heart."I-I thought that... but you never..."Jennifer's voice is so bitter and icy that you feel yourself shiver."If you'll recall, I used to tell you every time. You wrote it off as being a little too wild when you got drunk. Eventually I just stopped trying."Patrick hangs his head. You feel pretty sorry for him, but you want to see this through.
"Since I beat you, I have a claim I can make. I'm not going to. Not right now, anyway. I don't want to have to. For now... don't touch Jennifer unless she explicitly asks for it. I'll be coming by from time to time, and keeping in touch with her to talk about magic, so if anything happens then I'll know, and fast. If it does... I'll do what I have to do in order to keep everyone safe. Whatever that means at the time."Patrick nods numbly. He brings his hands together, clasping them tightly."I... I never meant to... I'm sorry... I shouldn't have dismissed it..."Jennifer turns and heads back towards the house, leaving you with Patrick. You don't really have much to offer him in terms of comfort, but you try anyway."I can't make promises, but I'm gonna do what I can to help. You guys are part of my family now. Family helps one another."Patrick doesn't say a word, and as you walk away you can hear him start to cry. You can't imagine the weight of the guilt he must be feeling right now. Still, if you hadn't been so firm with him, if you had softened things, he might have refuted it as impossible. >>44126753Agreed, needs to be done soon.Agreed but we still need to deal with the fallout of her choice. The fact we didn't do anything won't save us from an angry werewolf punching golem.Agreed again.
>>44126753>once Patrick's calmed downNo, we need to give that to Jennifer. She's the one who does the pack's politicking. Stephen does the day to day business. Patrick is literally just there for the punching of things and as a figurehead. We should also research some sort of loyalty/minion oath ritual, one that will let us know where Sammy is and if she's in danger, and vice versa, as well as protecting her from the mental whammy of vamps, ideally. Best would be to get Sammy and Jennifer in a oath like that, so we can tell them what our goal is. even bester would be making them our familiars, as it were, so we can channel our magic through them at need, but that's probably a bit beyond us. Just a general location/status sympathetic link would probably be the easiest for now.We can't confide in either of them until their minds can be shielded from outside influence though. And confiding in Jennifer would probably help shorten the time it'd take to learn what we need to do.
>>44127276I just mean that Patrick should be there since waging war is his forte and the figurehead is the one who has to tell the collins' to fuck off since we have blackmail. It's a house full of werewolves, we don't really have to be shadowrunning that hard as to never confide in anyone until we cast magic on their minds, and this is coming from shadowrun anon.
>>44127347>shadowrunningI was talking about the whole "become a vamp and resurrect our parents" goal. As I said here>>44126063 the vamps clans are going to oppose us if they catch wind of our plans. Sammy's already been hit with their mind slap once, so we know she's vulnerable to it, and while Jennifer's stronger, and surrounded by allies, I'd rather have her oathed to us before she finds out how far we're going.
>>44127391"become a vamp and resurrect our parents"We are owed favours and have claims, no one in the Wolfe clan especially Patrick and Jennifer are going to stop us becoming vampires. And although that is the case now, if we find an alternate method of reincarnation or find out that vampire's can't bring people back, and our mom was lying in an "i'm dying so here's a goal to get you to get your life together" way, then that will no longer be our goal.I mean i'm expecting to become a vamp really far down the line of this quest, and if it was some mind control thing by our mom putting the idea in our head, surely at parts where we met vampires we should've been given an option of "just let them bite you" or something like that. The vamp clans may or not oppose us becoming a vamp if we do it for their clans, we could always just jump in the spot that Vanessa left when we staked her and go from there, but we have a lot of research on vampires to do I guess.
>>44127462Angie (the angel of death, and our guardian angel) has confirmed that powerful vampires can bring dead vamps back, though the cost is high enough, and they're so selfish, that they rarely do. Jennifer told us werewolf legend says the original vampire, Dracula, was a powerful blood mage and necromancer who created a ritual that made himself a vampire, and then when he eventually got lonely he made the 7 clans of sub-vampires to each embody one of the 7 deadly sins. We haven't really spent any time in a non-antagonistic situation with vampires, though I doubt if just letting them bite us will get us the power we need any time soon. It's more likely that would leave us at the bottom of the food chain for centuries, and while we know that each breed of vamp have their own powers and weaknesses, we don't know what's what. It could be Dracula and his direct children are the only ones with the level of power we need. One other thing to consider is that if we let a vamp turn us, they'll have power over us.All in all, I feel like pursuing Dracula's ritual is the best path. We might learn how to bring them back while learning necromancy, anyway. But I figure in for a penny, in for a pound. If we're going to be doing things that might bring the wrath of heaven, hell, AND the vamp clans on us, we need allies. That's why we've got the Wolfes as allies. We should get Sammy to smooze up Sophie Collins as well. Between her friendship and Jennifer's maneuvering, we ought to be able to get them to toe the line should shit hit the fan early. I don't know where Meliora will fall in that, but I bet if we continue to befriend her, she'll support us.Do you see any flaws in my reasoning? Plan for the worst, after all. And then assume it's also going to flood.
>>44127667Forgot about what Angie told us, all true.About vamps, all true, though I very much doubt Oliver will meet dracula as the main quest line, or even do that ritual lost to time.Like can we even revive our parents anyway? like, weren't they both taken out traditionally and turned to ash? Can we revive ash? It'll be funny if we get to the end as the new dracula and we still can't bring them back since no body and have to sell our soul or favours for devils to get them back.Necromancy is a good step to take since it's our main aim so most IC no matter how cool the other magics are sadly.Deffo schmooze sophie collins a bit. We could destroy the collin's clan and have her left so we still have the territory with an honorary figurehead, or somethin similar, anyway to expand wolfe territory we should do.Continue befriending meliora, best course of action, I mean this suit tho, and this is just some shit something she had spare.I don't see any flaws really now, just things i'm not sure will happen depending on where the QM takes the story.
I wonder if we could crash in Sammy's room when we get back... We should ask her.>>44127667Didn't Sammy say that dead vamp girl's parents could rez her? They're probably not as strong as the OOG himself, so I don't think we need to go crazy far. Then again, they're the heads of their specific clan, right? We have no clue just how strong they could be.We need to get our Steve Erwin on and sort out how to tell what vamps can do what and stuff.>"Crikey, lookit this lil' beaut!">*Wh-What!? Get off me, mortal! H-How dare-!*>"Now, see hear how big her fangs ah? Classic signs of a vampiah of sloth!"
>>44128130SO plans for QM are rasta werewolf, and letting us go full steve irwin on some really confused passerby vampire chick. On the other hand, on our to do list is learn magic, show off mark video, check our student file, create/adopt a religion, thank miniora and apologise to meliora, crash in sammy's room for the night, and steve irwin a really confused passerby vampire chick.
>>44128205It's not even week one. Oliver has a ridiculous work ethic, I'dve been burnt out by day 2.
>>44128226Ridiculous work ethicNot even funnyBy the time i'd finish listing off our accomplishments, QM would be back.
>>44128205We should also just go ahead and get Sammy a proper werewolf princess outfit >>44128226This is only day 3. Aside from the magic, most of our stuff will only take like 5 minutes a pop. Though it's probably a good thing we don't watch TV.
>>44128130>"Nao wotch as oy stick maye thamb ap 'er butthole. Tha'll git 'er RAILLY roiled up!"
>>44128271Princess Sammy sounds fuckin cuteShe's all tall and buff and shit and picturing her wearing a pretty pink princess outfit is making me giggle>>44128277>Vampires are for anal
>>44128271>most of our stuff will only take like 5 minutes a pop.But we'll spend 200 posts discussing each one. It is interesting how all the arguments stopped after that one anon said he was leaving, though.
>>44128291>Vampires are for analThat's what Jennifer will eventually be for. Vampires give good head. They know how to suck.
>>44128324 then what are demons for?
>>44128324>not fixing Sammy's parents back together so she has the happy family we never couldI mean Patrick is listening and tore up about it. Plus I hate NTR.
>>44128343Conning into granting us more power for literally nothing in return.
>>44128374Anon's joking, we're definitely gonna try to fix the family, I'd wager.>>44128383Angels are for friendship
>>44128421No, there are some people who genuinely want to NTR Patrick and bang Jennifer.
>>44128374>I hate NTR.>tricking a woman to stay in a relationship where she's been abused for decades>implying that's in any way a fair result for herIt's not ntr if Jennifer wants out. NTR is sleeping behind his back/kekolding him. If she decides to leave him, that's entirely her right. She's only staying right now to protect Sammy and the pack. She doesn't feel any love for him and never did. Shame on you for being so one-sidedly biased. Patrick had his chance, and he chose to not believe her when she told him what he was doing. What she does now is up to her, but I will bitterly fight forcing her back into that relationship.
>>44128461She's already said that even if she wants out she won't leave because of the problems it would cause.
>>44128324A vampire will feel the blood pulsing in your member in be unable to resist a bite, not for head. They don't suck, they scrape and lick.>>44128277>Vampires are for analDamn i really want an invasive steve irwin thing now, watch some vamp hoe go from immortal to tsunmortal just like that>>44128271You jokin m8? Werewolf princess? Nah, runts don't get princess outfits, they get maid outfits boi.>>44128448People are fucked up.>>44128461Who says she doesn't love him? She might, she hasn't explicitly stated that she doesn't.
>>44128461>tricking>forcingAnon Patrick fucked up, he's a thick headed oaf at times. However he seems to be legitimately remorseful for his actions. I at least want to give him a romance walk through and let him try to make it up to her. Also she's staying with him to keep the pack from falling apart regardless.
>>44128421>>44128448No, like I said, you have a skewed, childish view of relationships if you think something like that can be fixed. There was never any love for Patrick on her part, she was forced into it, and is willing to keep up appearances for now, but nothing beyond that. You're seriously deluding yourself if you think decades of hate and abuse can be fixed.
>>44128461>tricking>forcingWhen making a counterargument, stick to shit people actually said instead of strawmanning.
>>44128471Did you read the threads at all? She agreed to stay and keep up appearances, for the time being, to protect her daughter, but she's NOT in a relationship with Patrick anymore.
>>44128501I think that should be up to Jennifer. By all accounts, she doesn't have some Stockholm syndrome knockoff. If she thinks she can leave without upsetting things, and that it's the best thing for everyone, then we can get her out. But doing it now is not acceptable.>>44128520Can you quote where she said she wasn't in a relationship with him anymore?
>>44128520Are you really that retarded? That never happened.
>>44128475>Who says she doesn't love him? She might, she hasn't explicitly stated that she doesn't.Read the archive. one of the first things she told us is that she was forced into the marriage against her will and that every time Patrick has been with her, it's been rape. >>44128496She's staying because we asked her to. WE brought up the pack falling apart. She wanted us to take her away. And so what he's remorseful? Does it undo the forced marriage, or the decades of raping her and abuse? >>44128504Read the story archive, she has never feelings for him. Forcing it on her is no different from what he was doing before.
>>44128501>>44128520Honestly, from what I've read, Jennifer might be okay staying with him if he didn't lose his head. At all other times, he seems like nothing so much as a lovable oaf. If we can use blood magic to keep him from completely succumbing to his instincts, she might actually be okay with being in a relationship with him.
>>44128520Did you read at all? She never said that. Nor did anyone else.
>>44128580You need to step away from the keyboard and calm down.
>>44128527>>44128564>Can you quote where she said she wasn't in a relationship with him anymore? Not a specific point, but she has repeatedly asked us to make her ours, and wanted us to either take the whole pack(including her) from Patrick, or just take her. She only agreed to staying and keeping up appearances because we asked her to.
>>44128610Sure, because we have the mind magic and the cool, aloof demeanor that makes her horny.Unrelated note, did we ever give her the video of Mark?
>>44128580Dude you are making massive assumptions based of vague statements. Then you're making shit up. Stop straw manning and calm down.
>>44128623No we still need to show her and Patrick. Stephen too maybe.
>>44128580I don't need to reach the archive, it was forced, but then again so is the draft and people go on to love being a soldier. We don't know how she feels. Also you should really chill out mate, maybe now that patrick's had some sense knocked into him, they can get back together.
>>44128586>didn't want to marry him>wants to get away from him>hates getting raped once a month, but enjoys the power of being "queen">>44128605No, I'm sick of all these "Oh, the abuse is okay, he didn't mean it so it doesn't matter" fucks. It doesn’t make one bit of difference if he "meant" it or not. The fact is he did it, and when he was told that he was doing it he simply laughed it off and ignored her. This is no different at all than a drunk/high husband beating their wife. And before you guys go spouting off about blood magic, there is absolutely no evidence that we are capable of doing something like that, and even if we did, it wouldn't make one bit of difference to her, it doesn't excuse all the suffering and pain.
>>44128674>We don't know how she feels.Yes we do. She flat out asked us to take her away. Stop trying to excuse the inexcusable.
>>44128686Okay, fine, you can continue making a vitriolic argument that is convincing a sum total of "goddamn nobody" and can only possibly damage your side instead of calming down. Whatever.
>>44128636>you're making shit upI'm not. Read the full archive. This is a fucking terrible situation that she's been forced into for decades. She has never once expressed interest in wanting to stay with him.
>>44128686Why don't you stop talking for her and let her talk herself. She said she wants to stay here, specifically because TAKING HER AWAY WOULD ENDANGER HER DAUGHTER. Maybe she's not entirely okay with it, but she has accepted the fact that she has to stay here. At least now, her life here might actually be somewhat livable.
>>44128701asked us to take her away even though she said that even if she wanted to she wouldn't leavelmao, k dude.
>all these retards who think they can reverse the abuseDid you people not read the quest at all? It's not happening, she hates Patrick.
>>44128717So you feel that the forced marriage and two decades or so of rapeand severe abuse are perfectly acceptable? That's all listed as fact in the archive. I'm not being particularly vitriolic, I haven't called anyone names, I just don't understand how a single reasonable adult could look at this and say "yes, that's a relationship she'll want to get back into." it's not realistic. This is not a relationship that's capable of being salvaged, nor should it be.
>>44128753According to what? I don't think she hates Patrick, and she seems pretty numbed to the abuse. Sure, it's not ideal, but she doesn't seem like the type that needs an out right now.
>>44128686It does matter you fuck faced SJW but I at least want to give them a chance. Getting high or drunk is a choice having your own nature fuck up like Tourette's is not. I can see how he ignored her if he was in control every other time he shifted with no issues. He's remorseful and can change. If they can work it out is up to them, but we owe them a chance.Stop going REEEEEEEE and spewing your vitriol all over the place. You are making massive assumptions about a lot of fucking things.>>44128753>I know everything about the character and can speak for her!She never once said she hated him, just how he acted in bed.
>>44128797No, maybe she doesn't want back in. But that's not for us to decide. We'll leave the door open, but doing anything more is too much.
>>44128825>>44128751>>44128751Read the archive, and this thread. We changed her mind by talking about how the pack will collapse if we take her right now. She wanted to leave.>>44128753Thank you anon.
I had an epiphany last night. I've accidentally created a SJWs wet dream with the Patrick/Jennifer situation. Teach a werewolf not to rape. I kinda hate myself a lot a bit for it.The anon who keeps going on about how she's being abused is on the right track, but >>4412871 is right, save all that passion and desire to do good and find ways to create a situation where she can get out. Maybe find a new alpha female for Patrick or something? Be creative. Consider the plans Jennifer would never be in a position to execute.
>>44128797I feel that every time you put words in someone else's mouth, especially my own, it makes me hate you and everything you argue for just a little bit more.
Well, this went to hell in a handbasket. I'm out, have fun autists. I was really enjoying this quest before everyone went feral, but I can't deal with this much bullshit before the QM even shows back up. Peace.
>>44128850Stephen seems pretty level headed. Maybe we could replace Patrick entirely, give Jennifer a different Alpha Male.
>>44128850This entire situation is a clusterfuck and a half BtQM and until Patrick gets his instincts in check another mate won't fix anything. It doesn't help you made Jennifer have the hots for us either. At this point it's getting worse than the cleric y/n relationship vote in BtDQ.
>>44128850Yay, QM returns!
>>44128814Yes, I'm the one spewing vitriol, when you're the one stooping to direct insults. I'm simply saying that, based on EVERY SINGLE THING she has said and told us, the ONLY reason she isn't up and leaving is because the pack would fall apart, and that would endanger Sammy. But she only agreed to stay because we made in clear to Patrick that he isn't to lay a hand on her unless she tells him to. You and I both know that isn't going to happen, and he doesn't deserve another chance anyway. And perhaps you'd understand that she does hate him, if you'd bother reading the context and the not-so-subtle clues BTQM is so skilled at writing.
ah, blessed silence...
>>44128947You're basically putting words in people's mouths insulting their intelligence and declaring your way is the only valid way. You're being a toxic shit anon.
>>44128972Probably the best way to read the quest now.
>>44128925Like I said, this situation wasn't even supposed to come up for a while. Jennifer was going to soften a bit, approach you once you had been part of the Wolfe clan for a while and confide in you about Patrick. Instead people got super lucky on some rolls and unraveled the story on their own.But it's cool, I can roll with it.
>>44128850QM, the problem is, half the daytime anons think we should be "fixing" their relationship. Sometimes relationships just aren't salvageable. I feel like this is one of those. We've got a workable mid-length solution now, we don't need to be addressing this problem again for a while. We need to be focusing on getting stronger and saving our parents. And it looks like we need Jennifer's help to do that. Just have Patrick be avoiding us or something. We don't need to address this for at least like 2 weeks in game.
>>44129002>>44128947You are both idiots
>>44129002>>44129043>>44128850>The anon who keeps going on about how she's being abused is on the right track, but >>4412871 is right, save all that passion and desire to do good and find ways to create a situation where she can get out.Just sayin. It was pretty evident if you have the slightest grasp of interpersonal relationships.
>>44129030The point is your quest is going to go nowhere now, period. You're just going to have arguments in totality.
Okay, so, the plan I have is to find some sort of blood magic that will give Patrick a clear head. Then we use the same memory erasure ritual we had before and erase all of Jennifer's memories of being raped. All in favor?
>>44129106Goonies never say die
>>44129106>>44129040I disagree. Just state flat out whether or not Jennifer's receptive to him trying to fix things in a couple days of game time. We've got lots else to do.
>>44129117So stupid it might works. Please, don't.
>>44129161Rufio! Rufio! Rufiooooooo!
>>44129117Only works on one memory at a time. We'd need to cast it way too much, presuming she wishes to forget. The clear headed bit is good if we can find a spell though.>>44129166>implying Btqm will make it easy on us.
>>44129117>all of Jennifer's memories of being raped.20 years of memories and bitterness? Leaving her remembering how she was forced into the marriage, instead of marrying the guy who was her fiancé before Patrick decided he wanted her? That seems like a great idea, anon. No, some relationships just can't be fixed. Learning that is part of growing up.
>>44129184>>44129226We've got a working balance in their house for now. It's not Betty, Joe, and their white picket fence, but it's probably the best we can do as is. Once we're more powerful we may want to revisit it.but maybe Patrick will get killed in the inevitable fighting that's coming and save us the trouble.
>>44129230Maybe if we can, instead of erasing her memories, change then so she thinks the guy she wanted to marry was actually Patrick, and that he never treated her bad. We then do something so he can control himself, and voila, relationship saved.Blood magic isn't doing this, though, so we need other types of magic, the sooner the better.
>>44129117No. Because memory modification and way too much brain fuckery for either of them to even really be considered themselves is involved.Especially if we screwed up.It's a shit plan on all levels.
>>44129290I'm gonna be honest here, it'll hurt sammy, but Patrick getting killed in battle with someone else is the ideal situation here.
>>44128850Does Stephen have a mate or know about Patrick's condition? I feel like we need to have him in the same room to help us sort this out. Ideally Stephen and Jennifer and Patrick with Marie, however until we get Patrick instincts fixed it is not remotely viable.
>>44129322No, if we're going to screw with anyone's memories, it'll be Patrick's, to make him think he never married her. She's far too useful to us for us to be screwing with her memories wholesale. Not to mention this>>44129330>>44129356If he causes too much trouble, we'll have to kill him ourselves. Sweet as Sammy is, we'd be better of romancing Angie or Mel, if you guys are deadset against Jennifer, despite the fact that she already wants us, wants to be mentally dominated (perfect familiar), is hot, and knows 7 types of magic well enough to teach us...It just seems stupid that we're so hung up on someone we've known all of two days, just because QM writes all of his women cute, and she was the first one we met.
>>44129161rasta magic anon says make a new thread and leave the arguments herehey, at least you're getting a lot of player input.
You focus for a few moments on the spell you're holding. You don't need the book to tell you it's not potent enough right now. You'd probably need open consent or spill more blood or something, both of which spoil the subtle approach you were going for. But maybe you can just focus magic back into it...You close your eyes and concentrate, imagining the spell as a bottle and the power behind it as blood. The bottle shapes the blood, determines how it flows out, and contains it until it's released. You imagine pouring blood into the bottle, power into the spell, and feel it come alive once more. You open your eyes again and adjust your pack, glancing around. No sign of Jennifer, which means she's probably upstairs. You adjust your pack and head up.You find Jennifer sitting in front of her mirror, which now has a small crack at the corner. She looks over her shoulder at you before turning back to her reflection. You walk over slowly and stand beside her. She's looking at herself, but it's clear she's not in the present. The person she's trying to see is long gone."I've been married for twenty years and never once did he believe me. We've had three children together, and for years I saw my eldest only as a testament to his 'success'. And then you come along."Jennifer turns and faces you."You knocked some sense into that man. I have no idea how long it will last for, but thank you."You hold your arms out and smile."No problem. Hug?"Jennifer blinks, then chuckles softly and leaps at you, hugging tight and almost knocking you over. She whispers in your ear."The point of beating the dragon isn't to leave the princess in her tower. But I'll wait, until something changes."She pecks you on the cheek, and you give her a pat on the back to deliver your spell. Her eyes glow red for a moment before returning to normal, and she shakes her head a bit."Mmm. I shouldn't still be dizzy... Maybe I stood too quickly."
You shrug and head for the door."Maybe. I hope you're alright though. I still need a ride back to school." Jennifer glances at her broken bed, then at her broken door."And I need to find somewhere else to be tonight. Patrick is going to get hammered to combat his guilty conscience. I don't want to be here when he tries to 'make things right'. The only thing that's worse than him doing it while shifted completely is doing it drunk and half-shifted, when he can still talk and... say things about me."She shudders slightly and heads for the door."I'll think of something. It's supposed to be a nice night out. I just can't stray too far from our territory or go somewhere too public."You follow behind her as she heads downstairs and out the door. Inviting her over with Meliora there would be a problem, but if she's still doing repairs or hunting tonight it might be fine. Sammy doesn't have a roommate anymore, so maybe she could try there. Heck, maybe she could crash with Andrea? 'Sammy wants to know if you'd let her hot mom crash at your place'.Jennifer opens the garage and gets into a sleek black sports car, a little two-seater that looks like it belongs in a spy film. You put your bag in the trunk and get in the passenger seat, and Jennifer pulls away from the house. It looks fine from the front, but you know the inside is ruined. A possible metaphor for their marriage. Huh.>Text Meliora and Sammy back (write-in)>Make a suggestion on where she should stay (write-in)>Show her the footage of Mark while you drive>Ask Jennifer about something (write-in)>Thank Miniora>Other (write-in)
>>44129525Patrick wouldn't want to forget so erasal wouldn't work. From the start we knew you wanted to waifu Jennifer, but fucking up a freind's lufe and family for personal gain is so OOC for Oliver it is painful, shit taste anon. Also killing him would likely make our allies useless or worse enemies and out us far too soon.
>>44129441Read the second party scene again. It's definitely implied that he knows. I think Stephen will support whatever keeps the pack safe. Patrick makes a better figurehead because he's strong and dumbly charismatic, so Stephen supports him. I expect he might pressure us to become a Werewolf and take over as pack alpha, since we've already proven we can beat Patrick. But that's currently at odds with what we want, since werewolves can't use magic as far as we know. Our goal short term should be to get some sort of binding oath out of Jennifer, so we can tell her our goals. She knows more about magic than anyone else we can trust. And we might be able to bring our folks back earlier with her help.
>>44129441Stephen has a mate, yes. You haven't met her yet. I mean, he's got kids, doesn't he?
>>44129525Cute makes right! Also that's a pretty broad generalization. But one I will permit because it's probably more true than I care to admit.
>>44129593>Show her the footage about Mark while you drive.>Mention we'll try and figure out some way to help Patrick see more clearly.
>>44129546New thread soon, yeah
>>44129593>Show her the footage of Mark while you drive>suggest she stay with Sammy tonight, and figure out how to tell her and how much. If they can get on the same page, it'll only help, long term. And better she hear it first hand instead of as a rumor.

>>44129525It's more the fact we're in a relationship with someone and Oliver isn't as much of a dick as to say 'Hey, you're nice and all, but your mom's dtf and pretty hot. Also magic.'
>>44129703>>44129719>>44129697A mix of these would work.
>>44129593>Text Meliora and Sammy back (write-in) "Hey, Meliora, we're definitely gonna have a heart to heart. Please don't kill me, it would hurt. Also, extra thanks for the suit. Like, a lot." And "Sammy, how's things? Mind if I crash in your room with you for a bit? I'm exhausted and it's been a bit of a day. If not, see you soon. Btw, could you give me Andrea's number? I need to ask her help with something.">Make a suggestion on where she should stay (write-in) Andrea? Pretty please?
>>44129668It was absolutely not a complaint against you, QM. Just against my fellow anons, who aren't keeping very good track of in game time. The reformatting is taking forever, I'll message you the Google docs folder on Twitter this evening, though.
>>44129730Sammy she's a friend, at least Oliver considers her that and maybe more IC.
Since this next post is likely going to be a little long, I'm gonna tend to some family obligations and start the next thread with it based on your votes.
>>44129764We've been in a relationship for 1 day. And I'm not advocating jumping ship immediately, but yall are acting like we're married, when we barely know the girl. We know she does track, is a runt, and has been with us because we have a claim on her for saving her. We don't even know that she actually likes us, she could just have been bearing it like her mom was. Okay, she did stand up to her mom for us, but was that feelings, or obligation? And is it love, or just gratitude for someone treating her decent for the first time in her life?
>>44129687>>44129703Are you sure you want to show the mother who is likely still in a heightened emotional state footage of the guy that her daughter who she just reconnected with shithead boyfriend proving his shitheadiness. Are you sure.
>>44129889She was masturbating in her room while calling our name the first night we went to her house, read the archive.
>>44129593>Make a suggestion on where she should stay (write-in) with Sammy.>>Show her the footage of Mark while you drive
>>44129889I'm advocating not jumping ship right away. See, you're misunderstanding us. I personally DO see Jennifer as the superior waifu. However, in the interest of staying in character, I am going to advocate staying with Sammy for the foreseeable future. Until situations change and Sammy decides to leave us of her own free will (maybe we can dump her on the lesbo, but if she's straight there may be issues), we stay with Sammy.
>>44129598We've already told Patrick we'll go so far as killing him if we have to to protect Jennifer. QM wrote that in >>44124823. So don't give me that shit. That's the purpose of an open ended threat like that anon, it means you will do anything necessary.
>>44129983We never said killing. The threat isn't in killing him, the threat is in the claim.
>>44129943See, I'm fine with that. In character we want them to improve their relationship, hence why having them stay together tonight is a good idea. It could very well be that Sammy's actually a lesbo and is just responding to the pack instinct and lessons with us. We learned a whole lot about werewolves in the last 24 hours, Oliver should definitely be considering how this claiming and pack expectation is affecting Sammy's choices.
>>44129983Again you're ignoring the repercussions, demonizing Patrick, and inserting words in my mouth. Seriously stop.Besides we didn't explicitly say we'd kill him, killing would probably be one of the least effective thing we can do.
>>44130014>>44130025>anons who live peaceful lives. You never make a bluff you aren't willing to back up. And claiming was the main point yes, but that had already been made. The implied threat at the end was violence.
>>44130067>You never make a bluff you aren't willing to back up.So not a bluff at all.
I think I see what's happening.People here are attracted to people they can 'fix'. We liked Sammy because she had real challenges in her life, things that we helped her with. Fixing those things helped her fall in love with us. Now that Sammy's problems are gone, and her life is fixed again, anons want to move onto the next trauma-ridden waifu.People don't like Jennifer. They just want to feel good about helping people, and once they've been 'helped', they'll move onto the next waifu with problems. It's not something a real relationship can be built off of, anons. You don't have to romance someone in order to help them.I like what we have with Sammy. Surely there's a way to help Jennifer without cutting things off with her.>>44130067Who said it was a bluff? He fucks up, we come back and use our claim to become Clan Head.
>>44130046>demonizing PatrickMaybe a little bit. He's not written as a sympathetic character. However, QM even said I was right up above, and that we should be spending our time figuring out how to get Jennifer out of this, if we want to argue about it. So stop trying to argue that he's a viable, saveable npc, because he's really not.
>>44130130Again, it's entirely possible we prop up somebody else as Clan Head. Anons have already argued in favor of Stephen, Patrick's brother. The trick is in not only getting him to fight Patrick, but in making sure Stephen doesn't lose.
>>44130130>So stop trying to argue that he's a viable, saveable npc, because he's really not.And you're still putting words in my mouth anon, I was saying killing him would fuck us over politically. Stop strawmanning.
>>44130104See, here's where you're wrongish. I actually like Jennifer as a character more. She's more compelling and interesting. We "fixed" Sammy, yes. But realistically, she wouldn't fall in love with us over that. And there are ways to help Jennifer without cutting Sammy off, but every time I suggest one as a long term plan, I get shouted down. People are so hung up on the waifuing they forgot the purpose of the quest. The geas Oliver is feeling. It WOULD compel him to walk away from Sammy, if that was necessary to gain the power we need, but it isn't necessary yet. And in the mean time, we really don't know that Sammy loves us. It's likely just hero impulse mixed with the whole wolf attitude. Plus she's been in heat basically the whole time we've known her (3 days) she might feel nothing for us without the hormones going. We aren't in a deep relationship with anyone. It hasn't been long enough.
>>44130147Seems reasonable to me. We should look in our book for an offensive spell that can slow the mind or something. Would be useful to have anyway. The
I think the problem is we haven't had any meaningful interactions with major NPCs outside of Jennifer and (briefly) Patrick for two threads.
>>44130230>The geas Oliver is feeling.Which was never a certain thing, only his mom MIGHT have tried, and it MIGHT have worked. Maybe. Also you're vastly understating what we've done for her and overstating the wolf effects on her.We get it you're looking for any reason to ditch Sammy for your chosen waifu. Even to the point of acting OOC.
>>44130264That's definitely part of it, and I think anons are expecting more time to have passed in game than really has. In other quests we'd be months along, but there's been so much social shit that we've dragged 3 days over an upcoming 15 threads.
>>44130294>Which was never a certain thing, only his mom MIGHT have tried, and it MIGHT have worked. Maybe.Oh hey, hello again anon who just wants to throw the entire plot out the window. It says Oliver doesn’t know if it was a geas or his own drive and he doesn't care. He's bringing his folks back regardless. We're talking the purpose of his whole life right now levels of drive. QM's just been letting us hunt out the ways to do that on our own. If you doubt me, go read the archive.
You still there BTQM?
>>44130374He said he was gonna leave for a few hours
>>44130359>I must abandon Sammy because her mom knows magic that might maybe be helpful. Possibly. Even though there's no real reason to do so.That's what you're saying. There's literally no reason for this, other than a flimsy attempt at you trying to force Jennifer down everyone's throats. Those seven types of magic may be entirely useless to us or she could teach them to us without fucking her.
>>44130513Why are you so hung up on fucking her? We've done what I wanted as far as Jennifer/Patrick are concerned. She's no longer getting raped, and we have him under our thumb. My concern is that we've been unknowingly doing the same thing to Sammy. No, not physically abusing her, but we have been sort of gaming the pack system to take her without ever giving her a choice. We didn't know how much weight us having a "claim" on her carried at the time. But we've learned since then, and so, IC, we should be worrying about that, if you're going to insist we're "totally in love" despite having known her for 3 days. You're just being unreasonably defensive of your waifu, when in reality a 17 year old would think nothing of it at this point.
>>44130513Hell, we aren't even officially dating her. We keep telling everyone we're "just friends".
>>44130636Sammy masturbated in her room to our name before we claimed her anon. We had to run interference so her dad wouldn't walk in on her.
>>44130657Mostly to avoid any political shit before our video blew Mark's claim away.
>>44130663So? How many girls did you masturbate to when you were in high school? It doesn't mean anything aside from lust & hormones. And remember, Sammy's got hormones in spades around the full moon. There's no telling what she'll think of us once it's gone. Same with Jennifer. About the only npc whose feelings we can trust is Angie, since angels are eternal.
>>44130798Werewolves are only affected on the full moon, this was before. Additionally Btqm asserted yeah she fell hard for us since we saved her, swept her off her feet, don't patronize her like her family does, and believe she's pretty cool. We claimed after she showed interest not before and made it pretty clear it was her choice, like when we backed off after the lewds. Seriously stop saying shit the quest doesn't back up.
>>44130871...it is evening of day 3. The third day of our quest, and the third day of the full moon. You don't understand lunar cycles, huh? Last night was the peak, but the night before, and tonight, are both considered full as well. Stop trying to force this "instant love" bullshit. That's not how it works. At the most, Sammy and Oliver are slightly infatuated with each other. We "claimed" her as a way of protecting her, before we were aware of the full weight of it. I'm NOT saying we need to dump her, but we are not head over heels in love with her. Stop trying to force that.
>>44130871Werewolves are affected by the cycle of the moon, not just the full moon. Towards the new moon they sober up a bit, and towards the full moon they go wild. The new moon is when they are most human, whatever that means for the individual, and the full moon is when they're most wild.
>>44130989Family stuff go okay?
>>44130985No but she is our friend and the first person Oliver had sexual acts with. That counts for a bit considering his history. You saying we're acting just like Patrick is way out of bounds considering all that was mentioned above.
>>44131069Yep. They're out getting a Christmas tree right now and I'm expected to help decorate it later. Writing as much as I can before they eat my afternoon.
>>44131108No, I'm saying Oliver should be worrying that he's acting a bit like Patrick, unknowingly riding roughshod over Sammy's feelings. He should also be thinking about what her friend had said yesterday, and should be even more determined to sit down and have a relationship talk with the two of them Saturday.
>>44131178In a moment, yes, working on the next OP
>>44131162>she said she wanted space and to take it slow> We leave the room when she was in full Lunar lunacy so we'd keep our promiseAnon we're acting nothing like that, and she was more than happy being with us. Saying we were bullying her into it, or that she's really a lesbian, when she didn't even notice her friend's advances at all, is trying to strawman.
>>44131162It's pretty obtuse to think we're acting anything like Patrick desu. We have neither raped her or forced anything on her.
>>44131357If we're actually acting like Patrick, we wouldn't remember doing so.
>>44131375We don't black out and haven't once gotten slapped by Sammy who's strong enough to kill us with her bare hands, I think we're good.
>>44131398Unless she smacks us so hard we forget we blacked out.
>>44131418Then we'd have Angie telling us when and how we fucked up
>>44131357>>44131375>>44131398>>44131418This is why I prefer the weekday threads. Kids shouldn't be on 4chan.
>>44131452I was being facetious in order to mock the absurdity of the topic.
>>44131452The entire we're just like Patrick train of thought is retarded. We've taken great pains in order not to take advantage of Sammy and give a choice. It's forced so one anon can try and break it off with her to get with Jennifer.
This shitstorm could have been avoided if Jennifer didn't suddenly desire some random teenager's dick.
>>44131490What, that we may have unknowingly used influence, physiological and cultural pressures we weren't fully aware of to influence her into a decision she would, perhaps, have been more hesitant to make in other circumstances? I don't see how it's absurd, as it's precisely what we did, and you only defend it out of some misguided idea of what loyalty and love are.
>>44131586You aren't even a real person.
>>44131568Yup. Like I said waaaaaasy earlier as bad as Fiona in BtDQ>>44131586You obviously haven't been paying attention anon. Throughout this entire business we've respected Sammy's wishes. We've never once forced her to do anything and even told it could just be for show if she wanted. You're trying to force angst and problems where there are none in order to hop to your waifu of choice. Stop strawmanning SJW faggot.
>>44131568It has absolutely nothing to do with that. Personally, I think we should be romancing Angie. She'd be the most useful to have on our side. I just see how we used the exact same pressures Jennifer was subjected to, albeit to a lesser degree. Sammy, not having the strength of character Jennifer has, caved to them. A couple anons realized how rapey we were acting and started trying to back off. And now you're back, pushing it again.
>>44131653You're either trolling or so unfathomably worthless of a human being that further discourse is pointless.
>>44131653>And now you're back, pushing it again. wat, I literally just came into the thread just now, expecting a nice, comfy thread not 99% shitstorm 1% content.
>>44131653Dude what are you even talking about? You're putting a lot of words in that guy's mouth. You're either projecting hard or seeing what isn't there.
>>44131601I'm probably the only real person in existence. >>44131643You obviously haven't been paying attention to the info we've recently gotten about werewolves. Regardless of what we said, werewolf culture dictates that she's supposed to be ours now. Sammy doesn't have the strength of character to go against that, if she did she would have opposed Marc, as her mother expected her to. Add to that the normal teenage girl hormones coupled with the wolf hormones and her sering us save her, hoe could she not feel lust? Stop thinking of her as human, anon. She's not.
>>44131697This has been an issue for a couple threads, not just this one, >>44131716and I don't care if it's the same anon or not, it's the same damn argument, because no one bothers to read the archive
>>44131749I can confirm that you are in fact a figment of my imagination.
>>44131749>she can't love us because I said so>my perspective is the only valid one!Christ you're worse than Vaelys. She stood up to her mom, and we backed off when she asked. You're projecting you SJW agenda onto someone. Stop.>>44131790Or maybe their interpretation is different from yours! Did you ever think about that? Seriously you're being an entitled twat.
