Hey, /tg/. We just finished another game of Planescape Magical Faction girls, and in this third session we completed the adventure.

Quick recap for those who don't feel like checking archives: Everyone is a magical girl in Sigil representing a faction. The PCs (Bleaker-tan, Doomguard-tan and Revolutionary-tan) investigated a slaad painting people in the Great Bazaar, then Harmonium-tan (the paladin Aribeth de Tylmarande) abaondoning class to investigate further, which led them to a strange Harmonium training camp on Arcadia and, once Revolutionary-tan wrecked it, a very pissed off Arcadia-tan.

They managed to talk Arcadia-tan down, and she suggested they leave the plane for now and find Harmonium-tan. This week they were finally joined by our fourth player - Godsman-tan, a cheerful mechanic-type.

After heading to her last known destination, Xaos, they were greeted by Xaositect-tan, a rainbow-haired tiefling called Katy with eyes that changed colour with her mood and a love of random things. After getting her to stop shouting "DOOOOM!!" and waving spoons in their face (and laughing OOC), she was coaxed into finding Harmonium-tan.

They encountered only one problem on the way in this chaotic town: Guvner-tan was with them, and Xaos had recently built a clock tower. The clock was determined to do its own thing, and kept ticking and tocking at irregular intervals, moving at different speeds or the wrong way, etc. The others were fine, but the lawful Guvner-tan started twitching and going a little crazy. For now, they just followed Xaositect-tan to The Temple, a restaurant built in an old temple where the food kept changing before you finished.

Aribeth/Harmonium-tan was there, eating with the two Slaad from earlier (it used to be one, but it was accidentally split into two halves by magic paint, one representing the barmy lawful-ness imposed by the Harmonium's training camp and the other the remains of its chaotic side). Harmonium-tan seemed extremely apathetic and bitter; the paladin had lost her alignment and faction and was now a True Neutral Bleaker.

They carried her and Guvner-tan back to Sigil (Guvner-tan had started to rock back and forth chanting "tick tock, tick tock") and tried to fix Aribeth by breaking the law in front of her until she snapped out of it. Unfortunately Bleaker-tan putting on a black hat and twirling an imaginary moustache while telling her she was going to tie Factol Sarin to the train tracks didn't work.

Revolutionary-tan suggested that something was done to her at the camp - she already knew Valrin Mithir, the Mover Five in charge of the camp, was not what he seemed - and they went. They decided to put Guvner-tan to bed with some chicken soup until she felt better and instead recruited the NPC Cipher-tan, a ninja named Sakura from Toril who was obsessed with fighting fiends with her katana.

Once they were there, they discovered Valrin Mithir was an Eater, a member of a sect called the Brotherhood of Belief that "ate" people's beliefs for sustenance. He had been draining people as part of the "re-education" process to feed without being caught.

The party attacked (Godsman-tan with a giant Mechanus laser cannon); Valrin couldn't drain belief in combat, but he DID shoot a huge beam from his mouth at the girls. He managed to take out Godsman-tan and Revolutionary-tan and nearly take down Doomguard-tan before she knocked him out with his hammer and killed him.

In his remains, she found two porcelain statues. One was of Harmonium-tan; bringing it to her restored her alignment and faith. Arcadia-tan returned to thank them (she didn't like the training camps as they had cost the plane its third layer) and ushered them home, advising them to fix the slaad by giving him the other statue (of a slaad) and painting it its original colours. This worked, and they now have a friend in a slaad champion of Renbuu and the option to give him his magic paintbrush back in exchange for goodies.

That's pretty much it. We've been having fun so far, and I can't wait to run a new adventure next week.

Elysium-tan: I'm envisioning a -tan in a straw hat, always wearing a bikini and carrying a tall glass of some sort of unidentifiable(but definitely alcoholic) drink, which is kept permanently cool by ice cubes. One of her powers is to manifest a deck chair whenever she wants, she mostly sticks to place that are nice and sunny, ideally beaches.

    Bumping with unwarranted optimism.

In the meantime, I've been reading Planes of Conflict, which is helping convince me that the good-aligned planes aren't THAT boring as adventure locales. Aside from Thalasia for some aquatic adventures there is Belierin, which is apparently a swampy layer of Elysium that serves as a prison for a giant monster of legend.

Unfortunately, it mostly makes me think of Godzilla and giant demon lords in big rubber suits. Possibly more fitting for this, but still...
