Stage 104: Psychopathia Reptilius Aquatica.Admitting you've killed someone isn't the same as admitting you've murdered someone. You would be in the unique position to understand that. You are a killer, not merely by training, but by nature as well. Water dragonnes, dragonettes, oni-children, even the least of Water youkai are a nightmare to deal with. Water is the source of intellect as well, and it drives that intellect forward. Blood, the yin to the yang of chi, as well as the adrenal organs and kidneys are of water. The power of Water is the power of darkness, the most yin element, and it drowns those who cannot accept it. It gives life to Wood and draws strength from the Void; Fire cannot withstand it; Stone controls it utterly. Currently it falls from your sapphire eyes like rain, diamonds in the sunlight. You are Ryuu Ryukusa, and you've just admitted four murders to the young woman who carries your child, and whom might one day be your wife.To say that Kumatori Kiki is shocked would be understating the matter. She knows you are dangerous, and she knows you have killed. She was told you have killed before, and you never liked the idea of her seeing you kill, nor the thought that she might have to see you kill. But there is a large difference between killing on orders or by necessity and what you did to Kodachi Yorobu, Ryuu Asari, Ryuu Togetsu, and Ryuu Nezumi. Those were unsanctioned, undiscovered, and in three cases premeditated, four deaths you caused by your own will.
>>43502283You were twelve the first three times, and fourteen the second. There were justifications, yes, but it is terribly easy to justify your actions in any number of ways as a Water dragonette. Admitting they pain you, that you feel guilt and horror, is only part of what made you confess to them, and you're not really sure that those are the feelings that you are even supposed to have about them. The situations are far more complex, but in the end it comes down to living with your family, and them living with you. Honesty, trust, and acceptance. And the hardest one for you, admitting your feelings. Because these things will – and already have – come back to haunt you.“Please, Kiki-hime-kasan, do not judge this stupid dragon too harshly....but you need to know what happened....” You blink tears away, letting them fall unimpeded down your cheeks. Saltwater. “It was not like....” You shake your head, the tumult of emotions and feelings confused and jumbled again. How do you explain to someone who isn't a Water dragonette how a Water dragonette reasons in a crisis before they're taught any better? Start with the names of the people you killed. Start with the most recent one first. Start with the first times. Just take deep, calming breaths; let her ask the first question. Tell her about Kodachi Umetsumi.

[X] Just take deep, calming breaths; let her ask the first question. You take control of yourself – but not in the way you usually do. You don't try to clear your mind, or take control of your body, or sidestep the issues. You just force yourself to take slow, deep breaths, not using any power, not commanding your mind to bend as you wish. Just breathe, and let the tears fall. To your surprise it does help. You feel better, and the feelings aren't nearly as overwhelming. Kiki-hime is looking at the sand in front of her knees, her hands clenched tightly, bunching her floral-fuchsia yukata on her thighs. You shake your head, a half-laughing sob escaping your lips. You haven't the foggiest idea why, you're certainly not feeling any humor in the situation.Kiki-hime relaxes more slowly than you, and looks at you with sky blue eyes, filled with worry and concern, and not a little bit of trepidation. But to your surprise and relief, there is no fear in her eyes. “Ryu-chan....what happened that brought all this back?”Loaded question, really. Kodachi-san was in school with both you and Kiki-hime, and was a member of the Student Council, specifically the Leadership Committee. At least before her half-brother attacked her and you killed him. When you last met her she ran a sword through your liver and kidney, and seemed to be working on forgiving you. You told her you hadn't told anyone, but you hadn't promised not to. It's a delicate situation, but sometimes you just have to skip the niceties. On the other hand you mentioned him by name, so she knows that it has to do with Kodachi in some way. Start with Kodachi – you have more history than just a murder with her. Start with Kodachi's half-brother, whom you understand all too well now. Try and avoid names but explain as best you can, even though she knows them. Begin with how you experienced it.... Tell her about meeting Kodachi-san – it's really Er Yin's fault.

>>43502924>Nah, it wouldn't be more shitty than the rest. It's not exactly a comparable situation: as far as we know (admittedly very litte) Akari wouldn't have any real reason not to want people to know about Ryukusa killing those three. And even if she did, Akari and Kiki are super-close now so it kinda has to come out eventually. Umetsumi would have very good reasons for not wanting people to know about the circumstances surrounding her half-brother's death though.>>43502940> Try and avoid names but explain as best you can, even though she knows them.

I'm really not very comfortable telling anyone about something so private for Kodachi without her go-ahead...I hope we can dodge the details about what happened at least.

>>43503261We didn't promise her.>>43503161Right. We told about the encounter to Akari, not Kiki
>>43503432We made a promise to her not to tell anyone what happened.
>>43503466>You told her you hadn't told anyone, but you hadn't promised not to.We didn't
>>43503466>>43503497I don't see why it matters, the decent thing to do is still not to tell people about it, unless vitally important somehow which it definitely isn't in this case (the details/names that is).
>“Does she know?” 'She' clearly meaning your wife, and it comes out as a barbed, angry question. The hostility of the question isn't important to you; you shake your head. The confused, anguished expression flickers back. “Not unless you told Kumatori Kiki the truth of why you no longer could serve on the council. I never told anyone.” You look into her eyes, seeing the pain in them. Six years of pain wrapped tightly and controlled utterly. “Not even in my prayers.” Her consternation grows, and only now does she lower her sword to her side. From our meeting with Kodachi. You know, I would consider this distinction between killing and murder silly (as much as those matters can be), in another context, but for Ryukusa it must be another Hell.
>>43503549Promises have special powers because of us being a demigod. breaking them is really bad. but we do not have one with kodachi as far as i remember.
>>43503549We can say "her brother did something horrible, I tried to save her, he kicked our ass until we snapped and murdered him."It is very important to say who was involved.
>>43503604We do, actually. But not about not speaking about what happened.>“Ko-chan....if you ever need me, if you ever need my help....pray for it. I'll hear them. Somehow, I'll hear them.” You don't make the promise aloud....but you do promise yourself. You owe her too much not to. Not that relevant right now. but it is there.
>>43503604For now we're telling about our relationship with Kodachi, in any case.We already told Kiki that the kitsune-child's brother was among our victimes, and that we killed him to try and protect Kodachi, anyway
>>43503637Better not forget it! Doubt anons would vote not to help anyway though.
I can't help but think that Ryukusa is more feeling guilty that she couldn't help in any other ways than because she ended those shitheads' lives. Now, imagine how Kiku, who couldn't help at all, must feel. What's worse is that she couldn't help because she was waiting for Ryukusa
>>43502940> Try and avoid names but explain as best you can, even though she knows them.> Begin with how you experienced it....
Wait, the "experienced it"option is for the murder, of for the "what happened that brought all this back?”
[XX] Start with Kodachi – you have more history than just a murder with her.[X] Try and avoid names but explain as best you can, even though she knows them.“It wasn't really her fault, the whole thing. We were pretty close, she and I. It was weird, because we both liked lilies. We didn't really understand what it all meant at the time, only that it was different, and we were different together.” You lean back, falling into the sand. The sky here is so bright it almost burns your eyes. Or so you keep telling yourself. “Er Yin-sensei's spell worked very well. It brought us Shoko-san, and Yuuhi-chan, and Inau-kun....Peta-chan, and Detective-san too. I didn't look closely enough at what the spell actually did. 'Bring the attention of those who want to help me and call them.' She and I....we were friends once, close friends. Not girlfriends, no, but we were close enough that we dared kiss each others cheeks on Chocolates day and White Chocolates day.” You smile, remembering innocence, innocence that was tainted by ignorance. You didn't understand at the time what it was you had done to your clan members. That clarity came later. “Yui-niji-chan was still my first kiss.” You feel, more than see Kiki-hime's soft smile. Your expression falls as you remember that day. “After school....you have to understand, the Umetsumi family has always guarded that sword of theirs. It been in the family a long time, longer than Clan Ryo has existed. It is a strong kami, and it's a treasure equal to a Masamune. Coveted. So when it's owner was in the stairwell after school one day, a black fox-child attacked her, and took it from her.” You take a slow, deep breath, but it doesn't help nearly as much. Your heart is still racing as you relive that day.
>>43503973“Yorobu was....hurting the sword's owner. In some very bad ways. Then some stupid delinquent was on her way up the stairs. Smoking on the roof, just like some student council member told her not to all the time. Well, two of them really, but the one wasn't in any condition to tell her no at the time.” You sight and straighten your legs, placing your hands over your solar plexus, tempted to use your power to calm your hammering heart, to ease your mind. But that wouldn't be right, it wouldn't be what you need. “Well, needless to say, a stupid delinquent wasn't a match for a grown fox-child. But then again....you don't turn your back on a dragon, even if you broke her arm and smashed her nose.” “I....don't think when I have to deal with a problem like that, kasan. I just....I just do what comes naturally. I didn't think about what might happen after, or what it might mean.” She nods slowly, looking at you lying on the sand, a strange little smile on her face. “So this delinquent grabbed the only thing nearby that she could use to hurt the fox-child....and she just used it.” You remember the blade sliding between ribs, slicing his heart in half, spilling blood all over Kodachi. “So....it was a mess.”“That sounds familiar, Ryu-chan,” murmurs the mother of your child, her lips curled in that strange little smile. Yeah, it kind of does, doesn't it. Well, you can guess what happens next, I think. I still hate everything that happened that day. Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it. I still don't know if I did the right thing. Neither does she.
>>43503965>For the murder.
>>43504012> I still hate everything that happened that day.
>>43504012>[X] Yeah, it kind of does, doesn't it. >[X] Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it.>[X] I still don't know if I did the right thing. Neither does she.
>>43504012> Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it.> I still don't know if I did the right thing. Neither does she.
>>43504012> Well, you can guess what happens next, I think.> Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it.> I still don't know if I did the right thing. Neither does she.Of course, if Ryukusa was more clear-headed at the moment, she'd be saying that she knows she did the right thing, but believes she did it in the wrong way. But to say that she hates everything that happened is obviously untrue - she saved Kodachi, after a fashion, didn't she?
>>43504012>[x] Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it.
>>43504012> I still don't know if I did the right thing. Neither does she.>It's not something I can rationalise.>It was ugly, primal... but I will never feel sorry for him. I think it's important to say it's not because of anything about the scumbag that we're feeling like that.> Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it.
>>43504165She rescued Kodachi, period. The problem for Ryukusa is probably, beside not managing to spare Kodachi the pain, was that she didn't do it because of reasoned thoughts. As a Water dragonnette, it's probably horrible. It's a bit as if someone attacked Kirk and Spock went berserk on the foe. Of course, the help was the right thing to do, but the reasons behind it weren't (at least, in the mind of who did it)
>>43504012[x] I still hate everything that happened that day.[x] Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it.
>>43504325I think it's the opposite. I think she's concerned because she went psychotic on him and just killed him outright instead of hurting him or getting help. I think what makes them murders is that she doesn't look at the options she just does what comes naturally to her which is killing the problem.
>>43504425That's what I said here>>43504325She didn't do the rational thing, she just stabbed the shithead because she was mad.It was a good result, and had she been stronger in the first place he would probably have ended dead due to her rational action. But it doesn't make killing the guy out of rage and desperation right
>>43504012> I still don't know if I did the right thing. Neither does she.
[XXX] Kodachi-san and I met on the beach the other night....so....we talked about it.[XX] I still don't know if I did the right thing. Neither does she.[+] It was primal and unthinking, and purely reactionary, not rational....and I am not sorry for him.You lie quiet for a moment, looking up at the sky. “I saw her again the other night. The spell, you see. It brought her and we talked. It was....I don't know what it was. I know that it made me realize I'm....I'm not open like the rest of you are. I'm so used to controlling my emotions.” You sit up suddenly, but miraculously you don't startle Kiki-hime with the movement. “No, it's that when I do these things, I don't think about it. It's....I don't feel sorry for having killed him. He was hurting my friend, horribly. I stopped him as quickly and efficiently as I could. It was cold and basic and he died. The problem....is that I couldn't help her any other way.”That's where your real issue is. The pain and turmoil it caused Kodachi was beyond your understanding. You couldn't....you couldn't identify with her. You didn't have Water eyes, you didn't have a normal upbringing, you didn't have any family aside from Akari....and you did the same exact thing for her two years previous. “Does it bother you that you caused her trouble?”“What?”“I mean....Ryu-chan, you protected your friend the only way you knew how. Why does that bother you so badly?” Kiki-hime is trying, and you understand that, but you're kind of grappling with the concept yourself.
>>43505248“I think....it's because I didn't know....I didn't understand how protecting someone like that would hurt someone. Because the other time it happened, there wasn't anyone that could explain it to me.” Sighing, you run your talons through the gravel-sand. “The repercussions didn't make any sense to me. She was upset at me for having stopped him. I can understand it now, but then....I just did what I was trained to do. Not even that – I just did what came naturally. I was training, I could have just hurt him, or wounded him, but that never occurred to me. I just killed him.” You snort, half-laughter. “Neither of us knows whether what I did was right or not, so I'm not the only person confused, at least.”Kiki-hime is silent for a moment. “Nezumi was a youkai-born. Togetsu was a Fire oni-child. Asari was a Water dragonette. They were very close friends. Akari was ten. I was twelve. They were....ten, and twelve, and thirteen. One of the exercises was to plan an assassination. It is a basic exercise in logistics, and only theoretical.” You look at the ocean, watching the waves, calm once more. You aren't calm because of your self control, but because these murders aren't ambiguous or questionable. They are outright murders. Kiki-hime can understand the situation of Kodachi. This is....is different. “Except when you combine an impulsive, violent brute, a clever, dangerous dragonette, and an unstable youkai-born with a talent for making relationships work around her to her benefit....you get a group of people who want to see if their plan would actually work.”
>>43504325>It's a bit as if someone attacked Kirk and Spock went berserk on the foeHappened in the last movie.
>>43505278Kiki-hime's sharply drawn breath doesn't surprise you. “Unfortunately, there was someone standing in their way, and the first obstacle to a successful assassination. When Togetsu boasted of what they were doing....I didn't try to tell my teachers, or inform Oba-san. I didn't warn Akari.” You look down at the pebbles in your hand and squeeze them. “I never let it get any further than them trying to take me out of the picture temporarily. They vanished, and no one will ever find the bodies. I made certain.”Kiki-hime is silent. For a long time. ….whatcha thinking kasan...? Patience, patience. She's not a Water dragonette or a Fire dragonette. Killing is the first thing that came to mind, and it was your best method. You know better now....but there is so much blood on your hands.... >>43505293 Patience, patience. She's not a Water dragonette or a Fire dragonette. Also something similar to >>43505402 . Ryukusa is fairly vulnerable here, and she would say something like this.
>>43505402>>43505431I'm against this right now. Maybe she really takes like, more than one hour? Or half an hour?

>>43505481Dunno, Ryukusa tends to be silent and let her mind run all possibilities through, when she's vulnerable. I'd think she'd stay silent to wait for Kiki's judgement
>>43505538Yeah, but Ryukusa is trying to accept what she regularly doesn't right now and she REALLY cares about what Kiki thinks of her.
>>43505402I'm really not liking this, as it doesn't fit in with how Ryukusa thinks or acts.
>>43505538Yes, but she's deliberately repressing the clever, controlling part of herself right now, in favor of feeling her emotions more keenly. We know that she's not, by nature, a particularly patient person. I mean, she perceives a 5-minute cooking time for a meal as overly long.I don't know about you, but I don't think Ryukusa is capable of waiting very much for a reply right now.
>>43505648Well, she said herself that she didn't keep her emotions in check right now like she usually does, right?
>>43505660Shell wait as damn long as necessary for the situation. So has far too much control to be so impulsive.
>>43505648That's the whole point anon.
>>43505293> Killing is the first thing that came to mind, and it was your best method.
>>43505673>>43505680She also just breathed and waited, and felt better for it, rather than trying to rush Kiki back here >>43502940Forcing herself to slow down.
>>43505660>>43505613I still don't think she would be pleading like that. Ryukusa went through two hundreds years of Hell just based on the hope she could get out. No matter how terrified she is, right now, she would wait.Heck, it's basically what the Red Robes mean.I don't know if we can really veto write-ins, but I would vote against it if it was possible
>>43505293>Wait as long as is needed, in silence... crying right now is fine, right?
>>43505754Well, XS usually puts in what's fitting for the character so i'm sure it'll be taken care of if it's fitting. And we only made it through hell because of our family, now we're having "problems" within it.
>>43505784Err, I meant to add this to my vote here >>43505389
>>43505754Two hundred years of Hell is nothing compared to Kasan's love!
>>43505809If Ryukusa had to wait hundreds of years for the answer, I think she would
>>43505851Indeed. Which is why I can't imagine Ryukuza pleading like this as long as there is the faintest hope Kiki will accept her.
>>43505963But how would pleading preclude Kiki from accepting her? She can't explain or excuse or defend herself if she doesn't know what Kiki's thinking of her. Not that she would actively think of it in those terms, but that's probably how she would feel.
[XXX] Patience, patience. She's not a Water dragonette or a Fire dragonette.[X] You know better now....but there is so much blood on your hands....[+] Please talk to me, kasan, even a little....wait, it's only been five minutes. Of course, a long time for you is measured in seconds. Maybe that's what makes you so....intense when you unleash that part of yourself that deals with threats to people you care about. Everyone else thinks that you're killing in cold blood, or that you're not being rational, when in truth, you've already considered the alternatives and they all end up being worse than the situation it is. Perhaps that is how killing in cold blood works. Hot blooded kills are more Fire oni-child and Fire dragon-children reactions. No thought just...burn it or smash it. But that's rationalization for you. It always sounds good when you get to the end of it. That's kind of why you worked so very hard not to think about things that make your heart ache so much. You always get twisted in knots about right, wrong, and you know that your upbringing isn't exactly typical of any dragonette or dragonne, even for Clan Ryo. “It's only been five minutes, Ryu-chan,” Kiki says absently startling you out of your thoughts. “Huh?” BRILLIANT! “....I really don't do that sort of thing anymore. I try not to kill. Sometimes I get our family into trouble because I don't want to kill outright any more.” “Yes, Ryu-chan,” she says absently. It's kind of creeping you out really.
>>43506041You take a deep, slow breath, and resist the urge to slow your heartbeat and metabolism to something more manageable. “Gomen.” “I always wondered why Kodachi-chan had to leave the School Council. There were lots of rumors. Nothing that anyone really believed, just....lots of rumors.” You made sure they wouldn't find that body either. “But really....that's all in your past, Ryu-chan.” You blink and look at Kiki-hime, who is looking at you with soft blue eyes. “The Ryukusa I know is the only Ryukusa I've gotten to know well. The one I knew in school wasn't the real Ryukusa. The one I thought I met in my father's office wasn't either. The real Ryukusa, the only Ryukusa that matters, is the one I am sitting beside today.” ….that doesn't make any sense, kasan. ….kasan, I'm a freakin' mess here. ….Thank you kasan. You can't imagine what that means to me. Hugs. Does not compute.
>>43506086> ….Thank you kasan. You can't imagine what that means to me.

Rolled 69, 64, 100, 82 = 315 (4d100)>>43506086>[X] Does not compute.>[X] Hugs.
>>43506086> ….kasan, I'm a freakin' mess here. There's like all the babies coming around and every one could be some sort of half-immortal half-mental case
>>43506254We should be fine with these rolls...?
>>43506086> Kasan... All those Ryukusas, they're all the real Ryukusa. I can't just leave something I've done behind and say that 'It wasn't the real me'. > For better or for worse, for whatever reason, I, myself, have chosen to do everything that I've done, and that's what you're trying to tell me, aren't you? That I can't keep doubting myself or focusing on all the times I wasn't good enough?
>>43506086> ….Thank you kasan. You can't imagine what that means to me.> Hugs.>>43506205>>43506211>>43506225>>43506254Dudes, it completly makes sense.
>>43506299Yup, we won.
>>43506086>> ….that doesn't make any sense, kasan.> ….kasan, I'm a freakin' mess here.
>>43506304That's not what she meant, anon. She's talking about the idea she had of Ryukusa in school (which isn't who Ryukusa is) and of the one she thought her father would hire (which isn't closer of who she is either). She's not *denying* we did those things, she's *accepting*
>>43506319I think anon does think it makes sense but thinks >[X] Does not compute.is cute?
Oh, come on!Are you guys genuinely confused, or do you really think Ryukusa wouldn't get what Kiki is saying ?
>>43506425A little bit of both... While i kind of get what she's trying to say, i don't know if that's the right way to put it.
>>43506086> Hugs.> Hugs.> Hugs.
>>43506393If it's combined with getting what she means, why not. But genuine incomprehension doesn't make sense, since she's being clear
>>43506469She's saying that she's accepting the real Ryukusa, and that she's not deluded by the phantasms she built in school and afterward.Basicaly: "If it's Ryukusa, it can't be helped"
>>43506086 ….that doesn't make any sense, kasan. ….kasan, I'm a freakin' mess here. Hugs.
>>43506386I don't see the logic here. She's accepting we did those things, while saying they aren't the real Ryukusa?Unless you're saying she's going for some ridiculously Zen answer like 'Ryukusa is Ryukusa, don't worry about being anyone other than yourself' or something.
>>43506390Melinda-chan? Are you going to appear in the middle of the hug because you were observing the scene? Was it you who seeked Ryukusa in the void?
>>43506630What. Dude. She's accepting we did those things, and she's saying the person who did them is the real Ryukusa. She is telling us that she knows the image she built of Ryukusa during her time in school and after isn't the real one.Basically, Kiki is saying the Ryukusa she knows and love is the one next to her, on the beach, who just confessed those murders.
>>43506709Or, if you prefer: "I now know your past and accept you as you are"
>>43506709So she's saying 'I don't know whether you did the right thing either, but I still love you'?Yeah, now that I think of it that way, I can see that Ryukusa would accept that reply.
[XXX] ….kasan, I'm a freakin' mess here.[XX] Hugs.[X] ….Thank you kasan. You can't imagine what that means to me.[X] ….that doesn't make any sense, kasan.“....that doesn't make too much sense, kasan. I'm a mess right now. I can barely keep my emotions out of check long enough to feel them if they're anything to do with guilt or anger, and I make that serial killer who cooks and eats people look like a friendly, careless-”Kiki looks alarmed. “Ryu-chan, you haven't been eating people!?”“What? No, don't be silly, I was just....” She smiles at you and you giggle. And the giggle is infectious. Then you're both laughing and crying, holding one another, though her tears are soft, gentle things that aren't much compared to your soft sobs and trembling tears. She strokes your hair and lets you cry yourself out again, murmuring soft, loving things in your ear, and stroking your horns. The others are there shortly, and you are petted and hugged warmly. It's some time later when you kiss your wife and whisper thank you to her, your heart warm and soft and heavy, feeling better than you felt in years. No, not quite years....but you feel like you did after Yui gave you her strength. You feel....balanced. You feel normal.
>>43506765She's saying "I know who you are, and I love you. I'm not in love with some figment of my imagination I constructed to cope with my life, who was supposed to be perfect."
>>43506866You kiss each of them and hug them all again, for good measure. The guardians all wander, float, or leap back to the wall, while you assist Kiki-hime in standing up, her legs slightly cramped from all the kneeling she's done. “Kiki-hime....thank you. Thank you for everything. You can't imagine what it means to me. You're not like the others in one very special way.” She looks a little confused at that, and you don't really blame her. “The others are, in their own ways, more like me. You're the most ordinary one of us all....and that makes you very, very precious to every single one of us.” She blushes deeply and smiles. “Thank you, Ryu-chan. That means a lot to me.” You shake your head – not denying, and she knows it. No, you shake your head because there's no way you can say it enough. You walk back to the island together, hand in hand.>To Be Continued....

Thank you for reading and playing, and for your patience today. I hope this has been insightful and maybe even educational....vacation time continues next week.
>>43507004Thanks for running.
>>43507004Thanks for running!
>>43507004Thank you for running, XS.
>>43506937Thanks for running!
>>43507004>I hope this has been insightful and maybe even educationalI did read somewhere born psychopaths tend to make good murder-leaders
>>43507004This was too stressful to call a vacation! Even more so for Ryukusa than us.
>>43507150That's why I didn't say "the vacation continues."
>>43506937Thanks XS was wonderful to have Ryu finally make the breakthrough.
>>43507004Thanks for running! It was intenseI got to ask, though: what were the official explanations for the murdered people's disappearances?
>>43507302Officially, runaways, as such things are common among youkai-born and younger Clan Ryo cadets. It took Ryukusa about 6 hours to disassemble and lose the bodies.
>>43507216Will we get an idea of whether traditional Japanese morals and ethics will be restored with the full spiritual enforcement as part of reconnecting the Japanese people with their spiritual side?
>>43507553That's a very good question, and I'm glad that you asked it. Ryukusa hasn't a clue, but it's one of the things you'll learn.
>>43507589I feel like the only one that is concerned that our Western-biased thinking and morals is going to get us in trouble.
>>43507949I'm not that evil.
>>43507949Traditional Japanes morality codes don't like lesbians, though.Unless I'm mistaken
>>43507949If Heian counts as traditional then dressing in twelve layers of silk, crying during lovemaking and having lovers leave before dawn will be back in style.
>>43507993They're more of a non-issue so long as they get married and have children.
>>43508056Same with gays. And with having mistresses. You don't bring her around the house, you don't mention her in polite company, and you make sure to keep your spending in check.
>>43508056Well, good thing we're doing this, then.Mmmh, maybe she should find a pearl to make something for Yuuhi similar to the rings or Inau's earring
>>43506866>you feel like you did after Yui gave you her strengthTechnically that was years ago. Centuries, even
>>43507993>>43508056See anon, the Japanese will be fine with it.
>>43508669...the implication is that they are expected to marry men.
>>43509189But they're pregnant and married. And XS has said there's a dragonne out there somewhere for Ryukusa...
>>43510281Our wife to be and our servant are pregnant with our children, we don't need no dragonne
>>43511335I'm pretty sure Ryukusa is manlier than most dragonnes. In fact, by nature of the fact that she can impregnate girls AND that some dragonnes can get asspregnant in their boipussy, she's definitely manlier than a few
>>43511685I wouldn't really call Ryukusa all that manly, though. Tomboyish sure, but not manly. She had that secret apartment where she paints with pastels and loves making outfits and wearing stylish and feminine clothes.Thinking about it, there isn't really all that much she does/is that can be really defined as masculine or feminine outside of that stuff. Housework and cooking maybe?
>>43513060She takes on most of the teaditionally masculine roles in her family. That's actually a rather more major trait than her hobbies of wearing stilish clothes and painting. Hell, she was very embarassed about the apartment, like it was a dirty secret that would completely ruin her image. And it kind of did.
Ryukuza Quest: Where there are actually discussions on the MC's gender role because it might actually make a difference.
>>43510281She didn't.>>43511685>>43513060>>43513653Ryukusa isn't manly (outside of her voice) and isn't really tomboyish, outside of some instence she fashions herself like this. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's been said people thought of her as tomboyish/manly because of her profession, and then were surprised when she wasn't.She has mostly feminine interests and behaviors.> Hell, she was very embarassed about the apartment, like it was a dirty secret that would completely ruin her image. And it kind of did.Eh, not really. It was mostly "well, duh, what were you expecting?"
