Your name is Horus. The months have been kind to you, as a private mercenary's life goes. Unlike PMCs, you have no legal bindings, or moral grounds to judge on. You're a man with a weapon and the power of cybernetics to back you up. A few questions before we move on:1) What is our weapon?2) What made us a cyborg?a) Terrorist groups raided our hometown of Aswan, nearly killing us and forcing a conversion of cybernetics. They regretted it after you woke up.b) You have a mother, father, and two sisters to support back home.c) Write-in.3) Any stand-out personality traits of yours?((Also, sidenote to ask: I was considering giving Horus here a Slider (the bird-like UGs from Revengeance) as a sort of pet, with the idea being that he re-programmed it Bladewolf-style. It doesn't talk, however.Good idea, y/n?)
>>425011881: A metal rod. That it. We can beat guys to death with it like nobodies business and throw it hard enough to impale gekkos. Also a head mounted laser weapon.2: here to become the best and make a buck3: Self-assured, but not cocky. Driven as fuck. Kinda sagely.
>>42501322Yes to the bird as well.
Hesitant on that rod. It's too basic, even if the character can be humble. Revengeance is ABOUT pizazz.
>>42501188Hoping this will still be running in a few hours, when I'll be able to participate properly.I'll throw up a quick vote for now, and second >>42501322.But, what if the rod was POINTED? And also could extend indefinitely by the power of NANOMACHINES, SON, like Sun Wukong's staff? How much of this is based on the idea from the end of thread 8, and how much will be us fighting the minions of Cyborg!DIO?
>>42501517How about a bundle of them. Like 10-12 that he can use all at once.Have you seen kung fu hustle? Like the guy with staves in that. He throws all of them in the air then jumps up and starts using them as stepping stones while throwing others. Plus he can just throw all of them down and whip them at people like spears.
>>42501670The get-go premise is pretty analogous with the idea I said I liked from there. That said, I've got ideas in mind on where to take things, and I'm really excited to push them in.Season 2 was a little too light on bosses for story reasons (why fight any other cyborgs BUT the main antagonist?) and so I'm hoping to rectify that with our Bad Guy Gang this time around. And if you wanted my thoughts on weapons, I really wanted a khopesh.
>>42501704A khopesh would be cool except I still want a head mounted laser.
>>42501704>Khopesh>weird Egyptian sword-thing that wants axe-senpai to notice herIf we're talking weapons undergoing identity crises, shall I suggest the urumi again?
>>42501804Urumi is much more in league with Revengeance shit, cause that represents both flair, and mobility. I don't think I'm wrong in saying smooth mobility and motion is a huge draw for the game itself.>>42501794Head laser is a sub-weapon type thing. Getting it from the get-go is kind of...skipping some steps.
>>42501909Well, why be called Horus if we don't have sun powers?
>>42501949Because it's a cool name.

>>42502023Important question beforehand: lube or no lube?
>>42501949Because OP could also have transliterated Horusu from Japanese as Whores but that would just be in bad taste.
>>42502088On the urumis, or on Sam?Wait, would that make you more or less fucked?

>>42501188>1) What is our weapon?I'll humor OP on the khopesh, mainly cause I can see us being assholes with it and just tugging people around left and right with it. Maybe have two of them, with one being standard HF and the other attached to a chain or magnets that we can use as a grappling hook.>2) What made us a cyborg?>a) Terrorist groups raided our hometown of Aswan, nearly killing us and forcing a conversion of cybernetics. I'd have it so that he's also rather superstitious and is usually messing with a tarot deck to see if he can predict things about missions before going on them. Also a pet Slider would be pretty cool, especially if we call him Ra. Maybe Ra can have the head laser instead of us?
Well, it's basically confirmed from consensus (plus popular opinion) that Horus gets an urumi for a weapon. We still need more votes on backstory though. We've only had about one so far.

Your name is Horus.Things have been taken from you before you could say a word against it.But you always figured that actions spoke louder than words when it came to retaliation.Making your way to the top of the sandy dune, you survey out across the land. Pulling down the cloth of your keffiyeh covering your mouth, you glance across the vast expanse in front of you, spotting the palace of your employer. Walking across as the wind makes sand bite at your ankles, you make short work of the trip on augmented legs. At the entrance, they stop you for proof of identity.A silent flash of the urumi and a point to the sky to see a bird flying high overhead are all they need. 'Lord' Dariush already told them of the oddities surrounding the contractor.Stepping within, you keep your keffiyeh's extra cloth beneath your chin and keep walking. You step into the man's chamber with no hint of hesitation."...Horus, mm? I must say, you're a bit taller than I was told in the contact information..."You stay silent, glancing up at him with no hint of emotion in your face. You take out your deck of cards, shuffling."Tell me when to stop." You finally say.In a moment's passing, he tells you to stop. You draw, and show the single card you pulled."The Tower. Interesting." Under a new name, he served as both reconnaissance and loyal companion."Spot any hostiles? Local fanatic groups?"A click. That meant no.You nod, spreading your arm and signaling him to fly off. A single cyborg seems to be tearing through them, using a weapon that extends like a whip, yet resembles a small short-sword."The cyborg he told me about..." You say to yourself. As the carnage dies down, most of the convoy being dead, you swoop down and get onto the sand, keeping your weapons in their holsters."...And you must be a lackey of Dariush." the other cyborg says, not facing you."I'm no lackey. I wasn't planning on completing the mission. Simply letting him think I did while sabotaging the weapon.""How do I know you're not just saying that? >>42519521The Moon represents that which is hidden, or lost. One of them is overly self-critical, finding fault where there is none and preventing himself from discovering the true root of his problems, or has allowed the judgement of others to wrest control of his circumstances from him, blindly following the words of others and being unwilling to seek his own change.Reversed World represents a lack of completion. As soon as he makes it towards one of the dunes, he leaps off, deploying his shield beneath them and sliding down the hill and towards the horizon in style. You wish you were that cool as you mount your bird and ride.> It would be good to do some research back at our hideout on the Spirits of the Nile.> We should finish our business with Dariush.> Investigate this 'Caesar' first...

Out for the night, be back at 6 AM.inb4 OP doesn't post ever commentsSorry about my sparsity, I'm getting caught up in a lot more business than I anticipated. That, and it's just harder on me to deliver unique action along with characterization. I DO try to deliver, but sometimes my need to get SOMETHING out makes me feel like I'm hindering a product.
>>42529495>> We should finish our business with Dariush.>>42529915It's fine, OP. Playing a more serious, subtle character should help with that to some degree. Just don't feel like you can't take a break between chapters for a few days, most quests I've followed only release on the weekends for that reason.
>>42530134Yeah, the thread might become more sparesely posted by next chapter, just for sake of keeping up quality.
>>42533108Perhaps you should pregenerate protagonists, or give us options to select from during creation with no write-ins allowed, so you can write characters you feel more confident in writing? I doubt any of us will mind terribly. Also, sombrero when?
>>42533232>middle east>sombrero>we already have some snazzy headwear

AWAKEN, MY QUEST MASTER!
>>42536734Gonna let the thread sage. I need a day or two to rest up and get back into this more enthusiastically. It makes me feel shitty to leave you guys out, but it makes me feel shittier to turn in a bad product.Check in with the Twitter for more official shit. It's @RevengeanceQ.
