>>41575341Turn on flashlight, go into the door not leading to the monster or the docking place.
You turn on your flashlight. You find Ellie, who cover her face from the strong light. The sound does not stop.
>>41575615Get to the dang airlock already.
>>41575408You should probably read the linked archive before posting dumb things since absolutely jack shit of that would have helped.
>>41575631Why would we do that? Our ship ain't docked anymore,>>41575615Move into the door on the right on _Storage_Left.We COULD jump down to where the crates are, but I think that the unknown is dangerous.
>>41575671That door is a dead end retard, what are you gonna do there? And the other is the one with the monster breaking through. There's at least a space suit at the airlock to grab and another door to put between you and the endless hunger of the beast. If you need to, put on the space suit and space the monster. Like at the end of Alien.Just have to tie yourselves to something.
>Get to the dang airlock already. You enter the airlock room.Yoy notice your suit is no longer here.

Pressing the On button doesn't seem to help>Tell Jack that we tried entering that vent before but didn't because yuck.He tells you to wait and enters the vent, leaving you in the dark
He returns with a note.He also tells you that the air vent seems to be covered in that purple stuff on the corridor, but the one in the vent looks dry.
>>41576628Open the door to the intersection room without going through.

Are the two of you strong enough to do that?Or we could make a rope out of our clothes. On another note, are the doors dangerous if they close suddenly? We might be able to squish the monster with one of them, if need be.
>>41577049>you can't go down there>it would be safer if one of you went down thereuh what?
>>41577274He explains that you can't just stay here, yet you can't both go down either. Whoever goes down must take the flashlight.>What about if one of you dangled off the ledge and the other climbed down their body?Jack sheeply tells you that he shoots guns from inside ships because he is not really great on the strangth part. Manly phisique is not really one of his attributes.>Are the doors dangerous if they close suddenly? They have sensors to check if a person comes inbetween them. You do not know if they are still active with the power down, though.>Let him go down. Before he goes he tells you to be careful. He says that the layout of the ship is different, that doors connect where they shouldn't. Whatever is causing this is messing with more than whatever that beast on the other side of the door is.He asks you for something to defend himself with. Maybe the Fire Extinguisher to hit people with, or maybe the Butterknife.
>>41577309Butterknife. Always bet on Butterknife!
>>41577309Give him the fire extinguisher, we have wooden ligs and a vent covering
>>41577309Let him have the fire extinguisher. It can serve more than one purpose.
>>41577309Would two of the table legs be useful to him, or are they too frail? We might want to keep the fire extinguisher, since we know there's a large, heavy monster near where we are now.
>>41577309If he needs more items dropped down, just signal with the flashlight
>>41577309>Manly phisique is not really one of his attributes.
>Fire extinguisherYou are now Jack. Ellie gives you her Fire Exinguisher, and you two take a look on the ground below. Looks safe. She helps you jump to the metal crates and you climb down to the ground.
>>41577574Do a full sweep of the room to see if there are any immediate dangers. Then look to see if there's anything behind or between the crates that you can reach. If you're safe, we can check out that thing on the ground.

>Do you think there were actual doors at those places before the ship started changing? You are not sure, but you don't think so. As far as you remember this stairwell went further down to the deep storage, where the bulk of the stuff was kept. This part up here is just the temporary storage, used when you need to chack one of the crates. No one ever went to the Deep Storage, though. The machines did all the work and brought up the cargo you asked.>Can we interact with the claw door? You pass you hand where the buttons should be, but nothing happens. >>41579415"Are we under attack?"If you are, then get to your workstation (after checking that it is, in fact, your workstation) and help fight them off. If not, then you should tell him about the power outages and dangerous creatures on the ship; if he seems willing to listen, also ask if something bad happened to him recently.>>41579444If so, then we should point out that she was responding to a distress signal.
>>41579473No. If he wants to shoot down a ship doing nothing wrong explaining "but they're nice" isn't gonna help him stop being insane. He'd probably add on hunting the invader onboard. At that point you have to sabotage the weapons system and blame it on Engineering not giving you power.
He goes to the control panel and stars muttering to himself."Weapons in order. Life-suport systems in order. Power grid fully functional. At least the ship can work without me bossing it around."Huh... you are pretty sure that last one is a lie. I mean, it was written POWER SHUTDOWN in bold letters all over the place...>Uh. What should I be shooting at, captain?"Nothing, soldier. I simply expect my crew to stay at their bloody positions and not wander around. Is that too much to ask?">Can I have my access card again? He stops for a moment, before turning to look at you."You lost your access card? You are a disgrace." He spits, his voice filled with disgust. "Ask Synthia, I am not your maid."
>>41579629Is Synthia a robot or something, Jack? Where is she?Well, was gonna explore rightward anyway. Go then.

>>41579703No, just say that there was something wrong with the folks in Engineering messing with the power.
>Is Synthia a robot or something, Jack? Where is she?She was the girl that took care of that stuff. Checked if the cleaning robots were doing their duties, supervized the meals and made sure that there was nothing missing from anyone. She and the Psycologist, Dr. Prince, were always together, making sure the crew was fine. Her location, however, you do not know.>No, just say that there was something wrong with the folks in Engineering messing with the power.. “Did you hit your head soldier? Are you insane? Because the board I am looking at says it is all running smoothly. So either you know better than this computer, which I don’t think you do, or you should shut the fuck up and do what I tell you.”“We should have reached the edge of the galaxy weeks ago. What the hell are we still going in here? Anderson must be fucking up something on the new engine. When we finally activate it, and get out of this bloody place, it better run smoothly, or I will rip his bloody heart out.”“Now go to your post! Do your job and see if everything is running smoothly. Never know when we might need to shoot some people.”>Well, was gonna explore rightward anyway. Go then. You enter the Weapon's Control. Smaller than what you remember, but the computers are still the same.
>>41579862Examine and exposit on the purposes of all those panels and that one big black button.open that hatch.
>>41579862>“Did you hit your head soldier?Quite possibly, since we woke up in a closet with memory loss. That was kind of an important detail. But if the Captain's not going to listen, there's no point in talking.Check the systems on your console. See if everything's working, and if there are any records left of recent activity.
>Examine and exposit on the purposes of all those panels and that one big black button. All the buttons are for when you want to shoot people. Calibrations, checking where to fire when you are orbiting a neutron star so that your bullet isn't sucked in or destroyed by the magnectic forces, all that. The big black thing in the middle is where you would pass your access card, if you had one, and allow use of this station.Your remember there being dozens more, just like this one. Now...Anyway. You can't fire anything, since you don't have your access card, but you can still boot up the system and check "if everything is running smoothly," as the captain said.>Check the systems on your consoleYou get the thing up and running, but you barely turn it on and an error pops up. >Can you use any scanners, to see if there's anything unique in or around the ship?By what you managed to see in the captains console, the space around you was clear. The only two things in this whole sector of space were the Happening Skyline and a small, unknown one, which you imagine is Ellie's.>We came here directly from the previous room, correct? Not through other rooms or corridors or anything?Yes.>Down the hatches. It is dark in here, the light from up above not being enough to reach this deep. There should have been lights in here. >Okay, so what's there instead? There is a small tight space, barely enough for you to crawl through. This should have been a corridor, so that people could run and quickly reach the bowels of the gun to solve whatever problem there was.>Has the room rearranged itself? Are there new walls where there should be corridors?Yes. Everything is in smaller numbers or far more cramped than before.>Add AMMO to INVENTORY to get it out of the way.Son, this is a 100Kg Ferroslug. You don't carry one of these things. >>41580295Go haunt the captain with your new ghost powers.
>>41580295Okay, Jack, calm down and think through this.Someone activated the gun. It may or may not have been with your work console and a stolen access card. >>41580295check if Sime's access card even works on your console.
>check if Sime's access card even works on your console.Nope.>Ask to the CaptainApparently the Captain also had a bad day. A part of his console has been completely torn off, though it is still functioning.>check the sensors to see if Ellie's ship is okay.Seems to still be intact. The gun fired at nothing.
>>41580390Check if you can go left now.If not, try the bloody door.
>>41580390>Seems to still be intact. The gun fired at nothing.Unless this was an extreme long-distance shot at a target past the short-range scanners, it was probably meant to get rid of you when you cleared the obstruction. Is it possible that the weapon was programmed with a delay so that it would fire as soon as it was unblocked? If not, then could it have been accessed from another part of the ship? Those wires look important, but I take it they're outside your area of expertise.Any idea where the captain went? Can you tell if either of the other doors were opened, like from accumulated dust or anything? If we can't tell that, then we should backtrack, because we know that route's a dead end, before seeing if we can access the door to the left.
>Check if you can go left now.Still asks for an access card you don't have.> Is it possible that the weapon was programmed with a delay so that it would fire as soon as it was unblocked? No. Guns can have no delay, just so shit like what just happenend couldn't happen.>could it have been accessed from another part of the ship? The only place that can fire weapons is the Weapon control room. Even from the Cockpit it is impossible.>Any idea where the captain went? There are no clues to where hewent. No broken doors, at least.>If not, try the bloody door.Pulling your trustworty flashlight you head to the bloody door!
The bad news is that you are not going to go through that door. The good news is that now you know ther the monster/worm/thing that attacked you before is.
>>41580505>Still asks for an access card you don't have.So the one you do have doesn't work?If the gun couldn't have been fired except from that time and place, then that leaves two possibilities. One is that the hardware has been altered somehow. The other is that whoever stole your access card ran into the room and fired the weapon while you were in the firing mechanism. If it's the latter, the most likely suspect is the Captain; if it were anyone else, he could have seen them, but he could have set up that trap for you.If so, then it's it's likely that it might be a monster either impersonating or controlling the Captain, which would also explain why he's acting differently. Before we go through the bloody door, we should talk to Ellie and tell her that her ship is still intact, and that there's a possible shapeshifter on the loose.
>>41580579>leaves two possibilitiesNo it doesn't.It leaves a third far more likely possibility considering what you've seen in this nightmare ship. It's magic I ain't gotta explain shit.

It wants us to come back, you see? Nothing can escape it. Not once it went in. But we did. We got out.""But now, I think, she changed her mind."The lights turns on as he says that."See? Maybe doing something foolish over and over does pay out."
>>41580850Rush towards and grab the crazy armadillo away from the edge.
>>41580850>I hope the least suffering for you.
>>41575341>Please, suggest an action.Put Quest in the title.
>>41580850"What are you doing?!"
>Rush towards and grab the crazy armadillo away from the edge. You run to him as he jumps and barely manages to grab his ankles. He turns to look at you.>"What are you doing?!""Something foolish and useless. Maybe this time it will work."You can barely see as his tail smacks against your face and you let him go, allowing him to fall on the spinning blades down below.Where the tail hit, a stinging mark stays. It will probably disappear in a few minutes.
>>41580924Watch him fall.Examine console.Enter Spare Parts.
"she" sounds like the ship, or someone with influence over the ship."it" sounds like the subspace hell dimension the S-Drive accesses to travel intergalactically. That they escaped, but not really. This place has only one foot in reality.
Where does the trap door go?
>Watch him fall. You watch him until he disappearsinto darknesand hear as his body hits the blades down below.>Examine console. It seems to be a more complex examining of the engine. The normal one, not whatever this S-Drive is. The readings are weird. Some parts are blown to bits, while others are working overtime.>Enter Spare Parts. You enter the small room. You see no spare parts aroundYou feel cheated.
>>41581003get ye toolbox.Enter S-Drive.
>>41581003Check that button. It is different for a reason
>get ye toolbox.Toolbox GET! It is locked, though.>Check that button. It appears to be loose, but you can't quite remove it with yourbare hands.>Enter S-Drive."Requires Chief Engineer's permission," says the door.
>>41581082Simon's access card can't open it?Go down the hatch.
>>41581094Bet it is locked. If it is, go get Ellie. Her knife can get us that button
>>41581094can't open the toolbox I mean.
>>41581116The button isn't really important.
>>41581139Of course it is. With it we can reunite our brave heroes! Also, we get a cell to put our enemies.Except the captain. He is badass.
>Go down the hatch. You discover that it is locked.>can't open the toolbox I meanThat require an old fashioned key. You know those made of metal.>go get EllieYou head back to the intersection, to get Ellie.
You are Ellie. It is really dark in here.Jack has been goe for a long time. You don't really think he is coming back. You are starting to think that you should have been the one to go down. You hear something bang twice against the door, then stop."Ellie, open up. It's Jack."
>>41581208This is bad, either lights aren't on everywhere or this happened while the real Jack was in the Flight Deck or Engineering.
>>41581208Wait for a bit before opening up to hear if there are any alarming noises.
>Open up.You have entered the Intersection.Thee is no one here.>To be continued.
>>41581262welp.Now suddenly time traveling to before the table was destroyed.
Comments or sugestions? I don't know when I will continue this, but it will probably be next week. Twitter: @LuthQMIf someone could archive this, I'd be very thankful. It is nearly 9am here and I am in desperate need of sleep. These things always take much longer than I expect.
>>41581262Well, we didn't actually suggest that ellie enter the intersection, you know, just that she open up the door. But ah well, I suppose the narrative requires some liberal interpretation of stuff.Nice quest so far, OP.
Well now Ellie REALLY can't give Jack the gun to combine with the bullet to slay the beast and enter the bloody door.
>>41581300Thank you for bringing us mindboggling madness. I felt that there were some unnecessarily long pauses, but that might be just me because I'm feeling nervous and anxious. One update in 7-10 minutes is an okay pace.
>>41581300What's the name of Ellie's ship? I don't believe that was mentioned.
Whoever's archiving these threads, you should probably get rid of the character name tags and add horror, mindfuck, and cute.Butterknife and space animals are pretty dumb too, but they're dumb in a good way so I'd keep them.
Just got caught up. I really like the pixel art, but at times it's hard to figure out what I'm looking at, like >>41580262Maybe that's just me, though.
