I am Sief Atanor of House Atanor, and heir to the golem Raziel. Two days ago Qualaji and I left the Iquani camp heading towards the lair of the giant matriarch Mama Stump and her inbred clan, which turned out to be holed up in an abandoned Imperial fort from the first Imperial-Iquani war. Most of the journey was quiet, at least until last night, where we were forced to camp a short distance from the old battlefield adjacent to the fort. The night was memorable for several reasons, though thankfully both of us came out of the experience unscathed. Today we cross the battlefield in the hope of sneaking up on the giants undetected. Hardly an easy task for a golem and a giant lizard, but Qualaji assures me that the rugged terrain of the battlefield is enough to obscure Raziel and her behemoth Kajilapa on the approach. It is still early morning by the time we've finished a quick breakfast of vegetables and some leftover zebra meat, and the strange mist from last night has cleared, which could be a good thing or a bad thing. The sky is grey and overcast, which Qualaji informs me is fairly common at this time of year, and may be a storm front rolling in, though according to the princess we should still have plenty of time before it hits.(cont)
>>40491994“You ever crossed a battlefield before, Sief?”I shake my head. I am aware of the dangers that can arise from old sites of carnage and suffering if left to their own devices from what I have read in books, but I don't have any practical experience. If last night is any indication, it won't be pleasant.“Daytime is okay, though we'd have been safer if it was a bright day. At the very least we won't have to worry about ghosts or ghouls... probably.”“Probably?”Qualaji shrugs, giving a sheepish grin, she seems to have gotten over her awkwardness from first thing this morning at least.“It's a foolish person who believes they understand how dead things think. They don't like the daytime though, so with any luck they'll be hiding away until the sun sets.”I climb up into Raziel, powering up the golem as Qualaji's behemoth lowers its head to allow the princess to step up and walk down to her steed's back.“You think the basilisk will be out?”“It could be, just keep an eye out... but not AT the basilisk, you understand.”“I understand.”The battlefield is eerily quiet save for a slight warm breeze rolling in from the south, skeletal remains and rusted metal crunch underfoot as Raziel picks his way between rocky outcroppings and crags. Tattered remnants of banners for dead Imperial houses flutter in the wind amidst rusted shell pieces and shattered arcane stone fragments. In places massive skeletons jut out of the landscape, behemoths picked clean by decades of scavengers. Kajilapa gives a low moan in her throat as you pass by a gigantic skull, Qualaji patting her mount on the back, making comforting noises to the great beast. While much of the equipment here is rusted and broken, you can't help but notice that there is still a wealth of equipment which could be usable, weapons and intact components scattered amidst the wreckage.>Press on>Check through the potential salvage quickly>Check through the potential salvage thoroughly

>>40492250Keep in mind that the giants we are facing are considered cunning and have been entrenched in their lair for a long period of time. They could potentially have some decent primitive range weapons or salvaged tech.
I don't want to stray too much from our path, but it would be a shame to abandon potentially useful information, especially if it could help us against the giants.I veer off a little to take a closer look at a few pieces of equipment that stand out, I find a pair of golem arms, ward-inscribed plates still fitted to the forearms and barely clinging on by residual magical energy. It's good stuff, powerful defensive warding, but it's not fitted right for Raziel right now, so I'd just be carrying it with me until I could get an artificer alter it.I also spot two other things which could be of use on a more immediate basis, pushing aside a fallen rock I come across an old Hand Cannon, the mana ignition runes still intact, the firing mechanism isn't jammed either, it's even loaded. Looking around though I can only find two more shots for it unless I want to spend hours digging through wreckage. The final thing I notice is an old Golem Skullpick, a little dented and rusty, but still looking like it could do some serious damage. The pick is still clutched in a golem's hand, torn from the body halfway down the forearm, the point buried into a rocky crag. The whole thing is surrounded by scraps of shell, crushed and scattered bones and mangled metal, in the looming shadow of a rocky overhang. Something about it makes me uneasy, but a Skullpick is an exceptional weapon for fighting giants, do I want to risk it?Ward-Inscribed Bracers>Take>LeaveHand Cannon>Take>LeaveSkullpick>Take>LeaveTo give you a better idea of what they look like, the hand cannon is basically a gigantic single-shot pistol, and a Skullpick is a golem sized military pick, popular for fighting monsters and titans with very tough hides and thick bones.

Taking the hand cannon and leaving the rest wins.
The bracers will just weigh me down, and the Skullpick... I think I'm going to just go with my gut on that one, since I am in a haunted battlefield. I pick up the handcannon, peering down the length of it, clipping the weapon and spare ammo to one of the storage runes at the base of Raziel's back.“You ready to go?” Qualaji calls, looking a little unnerved at the delay.“Ready,” I reply, as we push on through the battlefield. The clouds grow heavier as the day goes on, the wind picking up, whipping Qualaji's hair as we traverse the gloomy battlefield. The mesa looms larger and larger on the horizon as we approach, and only the slight movements on the edge of my vision, skittering between the wreckage, keeps my eyes from being fixed on the ominous edifice.Picking my way between two crags, I find myself at the edge of a crater scarring the earth from some ancient arcane weapon, a pool of fetid water gathered at its center. The water bubbles slightly, dyed a dusty brown mixed with sickly green. Qualaji wrinkles her nose, standing up on the saddle for a better look.“Poisoned. We must be getting close to the basilisk.”I frown, scanning the terrain, though given how rough it is even from my vantage point I can't see far. More pools of foul water have collected in cracks and sunken terrain, and even the shell fragments and old weapons are pitted and misshapen from the basilisk's acrid venom.>Stick together>Tell Qualaji to stay put, scout ahead
>>40492754Can the Behemoth smell the Basilisk, or does it not know its smell enough to recognize it?
>>40492772Quite possibly, yes, behemoths do have an excellent sense of smell.
>>40492783Are Basilisks known to attack behemoths, or ambush their prey?
>>40492754>Stick togetherAnd here I was thinking it was Monday
>>40492797Basilisks prefer smaller prey, but they will go for a behemoth if they feel threatened/annoyed, which is to be honest a state that basilisks spend about 95% of their lives in.Just to remind you of course, making eye contact with a basilisk is fatal. Fortunately not through your viewing screen, but for Qualaji or Kajilapa it would be.
My worry is as follows. If we leave Qualaji alone, then she'd have basically no way of defending herself against the basilisk(assuming the basilisk stare/curese/magic/whatever works on behemoths too). But if we stuck together, she would have a higher chance of encountering the basilisk, but we, someone who won1t be bothered by the magic thing will be there to handle the fight itself.>>40492842Just to be clear, is it eye contact only? So it looking at you, or you looking at it is fine, as long as your eyes don't meet?Do Behemoths know not to look basilisks in the eye?
>>40492875You have to lock eyes with the basilisk, which basilisks actively try to do, indeed their preferred hunting method is to burst out of a hiding spot and lock eyes with something.Behemoths are trained to close their eyes when confronted with a basilisk (unless taken by surprise), but then of course they are blind and fighting something which still has very potent venom.

Kajilapa sniffs the air, ponderous footfalls picking a path between the wreckage and noxious waters. I stick close, the last thing I want is for either of them to encounter the basilisk first. The behemoth follows whatever trail it's picked up for quite some time, drawing closer and closer to the mesa until we are practically at its base, seeing jagged paths and tunnels carved into the side, the fortifications on them long since demolished.Kajilapa stops, eyelids drooping, and Qualaji gestures for me to stop in turn, pointing over to a cluster of rocks a short distance away. At first I don't spot it, then as I watch the rocks, I see one of them shift, sandy brown scales camouflaged against the terrain as the basilisk pushes itself lazily out from beneath its hiding spot, gulping down a dead boggart in one fluid motion. I hold out one of Raziel's arms, gesturing for Qualaji to stay back, the last thing I want is to get her killed after all.I crouch low, eyeballing the distance between myself and the beast, the mana currents through the cockpit running hot with the tension as I take a deep breath. Leaping from cover, I charge as soon as Raziel has landed, covering the distance in a few powerful strides. The basilisk's head jerks up, pulled from its slothful state by the sudden burst of movement. It hisses, rearing its head back, eyes bulging as its fixes its piercing serpentine gaze on me. It's a strange feeling, looking into those eyes over the viewing screen, knowing that I'm seeing a sight which can kill a man. Fortunately, from within the cockpit, the stare does nothing, and I backhand the basilisk with one metal-plated fist, sending it slithering off north. That's no good, I need it to go east into the mesa, so I heft a chunk of rusting golem shell, slinging it over the fleeing beast, the metal crashing to the ground in front of the basilisk, which veers away from the sudden threat and to the east.It looks ready to try and break south straight past the entrances, but I cut it off, Raziel slamming to the ground in front of it, the panicked monster swerving sharply up onto one of the paths up the mesa. I watch its panicked flight until it disappears into a carved tunnel entrance, vanishing into the giants' lair.Qualaji joins me once the basilisk is gone, circling around the spatter of smouldering blood left from where I struck the beast.“Nice work, Sief, those titan bastards are about to get a nasty surprise,” the princess grins, neck craning as she looks up to the top of the mesa.>Follow the basilisk right away>Wait here for a while then follow the basilisk>Pick a different route from the one the Basilisk took

“We'll give it some time, then follow the basilisk,” you explain.Qualaji nods, and the two of you settle in to wait, eyes scanning the mesa. It's early afternoon now, and getting greyer by the second, you can definitely see the thicker clouds starting to roll in, and hear the rumble of thunder in the distance.“It stinks like basilisk here, I bet you can't even smell it in there,” the princess sighs, sitting cross-legged on the saddle, chin in her palm.Kajilapa gives a disapproving groan, exhaling heavily through her nose. One more reason to be relieved to be in here I suppose, the only smell in the cockpit is the scent of ozone and magic residue, which after the past few days I don't even notice any more.Qualaji pulls a hooded cloak from her belongings as tiny flecks of rain start to fall from the sky, heralding the coming storm, the princess frowning as she looks off to the south, the gloom interrupted only by the occasional flashes of lightning far to the south.(cont)
>>40494332“Ready?” Qualaji calls a little while later. She's probably right, it's been enough time by now.“Let's go, just stay behind me until we're sure the basilisk isn't around,” I reply, moving Raziel off towards the path up to the tunnel the Basilisk disappeared into. The path was solid once, but it feels more than a little treacherous underfoot, especially with the persistent drizzle, over the past few decades the outer side of the path has started to crumble, a long drop and one which could do a lot of damage to Raziel, and especially to Kajilapa, if they were to slip.We take the path slow and steady, Qualaji making reassuring noises to keep her behemoth calm. Despite my concerns, we make it to the tunnel without incident, gesturing for Qualaji to wait as I peer in.There's no sign of the basilisk, or anything else for that matter, just a long subterranean path stretching out ahead of us before turning sharply. I step into the tunnel, the walls still scored with signs of the battle that once took place here, Kajilapa reluctantly following me inside under the princess' guidance.“Sief, you hear that?” Qualaji hisses as we turn the corner, and I can, echoing voices from further ahead, coarse and guttural, giant voices without a doubt. It's still too far away to make out what they're saying however. As we draw closer, the tunnel splits up, a sign long since rusted beyond recognition on one wall. The voices sound like they're coming from straight ahead, so we could keep going towards them, or split away down the other passage and see where it leads.>Keep on towards the voices>Head the other way

Towards the voices wins.Writing.

>>40494494BFQ is gone
I head towards the sounds, being as quiet as it's possible for a golem to be. Still, with the obnoxiously loud voices of the giants, it may be enough. The path winds around for quite some time before opening out into a large chamber carved out of the rock. I slip out from the tunnel behind a pillar, large enough to hide Raziel, Qualaji hanging back in the gloom of the tunnel.Glancing out from around the pillar I spot the giants of Mama Stump's clan for the first time, one lies dead on the ground, eyes bulging, froth still clinging to his thick beard, fingers still curled into claws. Next to him stand three other giants, one is pale and hairless, his chinless head and watery eyes giving him a miserable countenance which is only exacerbated by his current state, clutching his arm, the skin peppered with bite marks, the skin already turning black and necrotic from the basilisk venom.Another of the giants stands next to him, a flabby and hursuit female, face pockmarked with the aftermath of boils and spots burst or scratched away, clutching a heavy club in one hand which looks to have been modified from an old Imperial mana cannon, I suppose it's a relief that figuring out the cannon was beyond the giants, though it still looks heavy enough to do some serious damage. The female is arguing with a larger male, and it's pretty obvious from how he carries himself that he's the one calling the shots here. The left side of his face is a mess of pale burn scars, the eye a ruined mess at its center, a third, vestigial arm twitches uselessly against his potbelly, but the layers of fat do nothing to disguise the muscle beneath. He looms over the other two giants, even hunchbacked, his body covered with chunks of golem shell strung together roughly with chain to form primitive armor.By his feet lies the remains of the basilisk, a rusted golem battleaxe buried in the beast's skull.(cont)

Pulling the hand cannon out, I gesture for Qualaji to wait for my signal, swinging out from behind the pillar and aiming it at the larger giant. The hand cannon fires with a thunderous roar, a spray of blood erupting from the giant where the shot impacts.Whether my aim was off for the gun is firing crooked I will never know, but the armored giant spins around clutching at the mangled remnants of his ear, the shot embedded in the wall of the chamber behind.“What the fuck,” the larger giant roars, the hairy female turning as well, both of them staring straight at me.“It's a fucking ghost, Mauler, a ghost.”“It's not a ghost, stupid, it's some stinking imperial meat,” Mauler snarls, charging across the chamber axe raised high.I bring my shield up to block, the force of the blow damn near driving Raziel to his knees, the joints of the arm screaming through the cockpit at the pressure being put on them.“Gonna rip ya out of there and give ya to Mama, then she'll be happy,” the giant leers, and I just barely get my sword up in time to stop a heavy blow with the armored fist of his free hand, the metal sparking where the blade scrapes off of it.I spy out of the corner of my eye as the female giant, Gibbet, circles round to the side clutching her club. While I know Qualaji is nearby ready to jump out in a hopefully more successful second ambush, this is still not a favorable situation.>Battle Plan (write-in)

Raziel can't match strength with this giant, not for long, and as Paxton is so fond of telling me, getting into a brawl with a giant is a fool's gambit. Once again I'm glad for Raziel's sealed cockpit as the giant breathes his rancid breath across the golem's face, grinning a rotten grin. I suppose he thinks he's overpowering me, but there's more to fighting than brute strength. It's hardly honorable, but quite frankly who cares about treating a giant with honor, I let my arm relax just enough to make Mauler overextend, pushing forward enthusiastically, which puts him in the perfect spot for a heavy metal-plated golem knee in the groin.Mauler's good eye goes wide, a strangled wheeze rattling up from his throat as he tiny brain registers what just happened. Taking advantage of the momentary reprive, I drive the shield up into his throat, wrinkling my nose in disgust as a gob of phlegmy saliva bursts from the shocked giant's mouth.(cont)
>>40496152He staggers back, and I hear a shriek from behind as Gibbet charges, brandishing her makeshift club, only to have her charge cut short as Kajilapa bursts from the tunnel mouth with a bellowing roar, head down, slamming into the giantess' side. I hear ribs cracking through the thick blubber from the impact of the behemoth's skull against Gibbet's side, the female giant howling, staggering back.I have no time to look however, as Mauler shakes off the pain, even by giant standards, he's a tough bastard, no denying it. The hulking giant bellows, axe held high, I let him come, the axe sparking off Raziel's shield as I sweep past him. The clumsy titan loses his footing, stumbling forward, his uncontrolled charge stopped as his axe bites deep into flesh.“What the fuck, Mauler, you prick,” Gibbet groans, coughing up a thick glob of blood, the axe lodged down to the handle in her shoulder, down through the ribs and into the lung.“Oh shit, I didn't do it, it was their faults,” Mauler growls, ripping the axe free, leaving Gibbet to slump to the ground clutching at her ruined shoulder, breath coming in short ragged gasps from her slashed lung.He looks from you to Qualaji and back again, breathing hard, then he throws the axe, the blade bouncing off your shield as you raise it to block the throw, the force rattling the cockpit. As you lower it again you see him lunge for Qualaji, hand open wide.>Write-inGot to step out for an hour or so, back in a bit.

Qualaji's eyes go wide as the giant lunges for her. Cursing I leap across the distance, shield smashing into Mauler's jaw as I push him back away from the princess. Mauler staggers back, nose flattened and bloody, face in a rictus grimace.I bring the sword around to strike, but his arm swings up, the blade sparking off the steel plate chained to his forearm.Mauler swings a heavy fist at Raziel, the blow catching the golem in the shoulder, staggering him, the cockpit shaking wildly as I slam the foot down to steady myself. I see him coming in for a second strike and I hammer on the controls, feeling the currents of magic swirl and crackle around me as the golem tries to force the power to the limb in time. Then Mauler stumbles, howling in pain as Kajilapa clamps her jaws down on Mauler's other hand. I see the behemoth's head jerk in one sharp motion, two fingers tearing loose and pulling Mauler off balance. With a roar, Mauler kicks at Kajilapa, his foot catching the behemoth hard in the shoulder, Qualaji clinging on as her steed is thrown onto her side with a pained groan, but the giant doesn't follow it up, instead he starts to back away.It looks like Mauler has lost his taste for this battle, sweat pouring down his half-mangled face, smearing blood across his cheek as he wipes his nose with a ruined hand. Crippling seems best because we want to deal lasting damage and get out of here for now.Their internal cohesion depends a lot on the stronger ones pushing around the weaker ones so the formerly strongest being crippled could mess with that, meaning there is damage to be done even beyond just crippling this guy.Otherwise, Kajilapa just suffered a heavy hit and Stump has probably already informed the rest of the giants of the basilisk attack, which together with the noise our cannon made should have alerted the rest. We'll probably want to get out for now, see if we can come up with a way to catch another one or two alone and otherwise pick up Ratu after all before coming back.

I turn back to Mauler, the giant still howling and swearing vengeance on me. I'll admit, I find the idea of torturing something, even a giant, unpleasant, so let's hope it doesn't come to that.“Quit whining Mauler, I have questions for you,” I sigh, touching the tip of the blade to his throat, the runes glowing lightly along its surface, hungry for more blood.“Fuck you, human, I won't tell you shit,” the giant growls.“I want to hear about the human you said came here, are you really going to die defending him?”Mauler snarls, locking his good eye on Raziel's face.“That fuck, what about him? Should've just eaten all of them, don't know why Mama was listening to no puny human.”“What did he look like? Did he give you a name? Did you say 'all of them', was there more than one?”“I don't know, he looked like a fucking human, didn't he, bite-sized,” the giant sneers.I press the tip of the blade a little closer to his throat, the skin sizzling where a trickle of blood meets the runes.“Alright, fuck, fuck, he was... I dunno, pale, not a local human, even if he was with some local humans. He said his name was Gloam or some shit like that, yeah, no wait, he said he was a “Man of the Gloam”, I dunno what the fuck that meant, but Mama did, said we were gonna talk to him, not eat him.”(cont)
>>40498914“How long ago was this?”“I dunno, a long time ago, years and years, he came and told Mama she had to kill someone, and she sent Bonesnapper to go do 'em in, then Bonesnapper didn't come back, then Gutrocks and Lugger went looking for 'im, and they didn't come back, and then we lost Scabs and Manglefoot to them big lizards, and now fucking Horsebiter and Gibbet are dead. It's all that fucking human's fault, we were doing fine until he came along.”“When was the last time you saw him?”“We only saw him once, he ain't been back since.”“You don't remember anything else strange about the humans?”“No, uh, I mean aside from how Mama was so excited to see a human she weren't gonna eat.”“Fine, enough about the human, I have other questions. How many giants left? I want to know about the rest of the fort and its defenses, especially where your mother is holed up.”“Fuck you, I ain't telling you shit,” Mangler spits. He already told you plenty, even if he didn't realize it, but it seems that the giant has some vestiges of loyalty towards Mama Stump. I suppose I'm going to have to get a little violent after all.>Roll 1d100

>>40498977Can I suggest positioning the sword on his crotch and lightly leaning on it, then increasing the pressure as he refuses to answer? If we want to be less savage, then do the same with his hand/arm/leg/knee.
>Do you know why Gutrock and Lugger didn't come back?>I do.>The reason is standing right in front of you.
I will not let this giant hold out on me, if I have to hurt him to get answers, then so be it, it's what I have to do, for my mother, to give her peace. I draw the blade back from his neck, Mauler breathing a sigh of relief, at least until I bring Raziel's foot down on his injured leg, hard.Mauler screams as I dig in the heel, feeling the cracked bone splintering beneath.“Do you know why Gutrock and Lugger didn't come back? I do.”Mauler howls, fists slamming against the stone. The reason is standing right in front of you. I'll ask you once more, Mauler, how many giants?”“F-four, fuck, four, there's four, Runt, Tooth, Skinner and Mama,” Mauler howls.“Good, next question, how do I get to Mama Stump from here?”“Fuck you, human!”I step off of his leg, bone fragments jutting from the wound, and bring the sword down on his other leg, rune-coated steel blazing with hungry blue flame as it nails the giants to the stone.“Where is she, Mauler.”Mauler roars, pushing himself up from the ground, lunging for me, the blade tearing through flesh, shearing bone as he rips himself free. I rip the sword back as mauler's hands reach the top of the chest, clawing at the steel shell, searching for purchase, the weight of the giant starting to pull me down.Swearing I drive the blade forward, up into his gut and into his heart, the blade scraping off the shoulderblade to burst out from the back. Mauler's roar gives way to a death rattle, the giant giving me a look which borders on a sneer as he slides back down off the blade, dead.(cont)
>>40499419I take a step back, catching sight of the giant's ruined legs. I turn away, I did not enjoy that, at all, there's nothing honorable about it, nothing knightly, I feel a pit in my stomach, telling myself over and over that it had to be done.“Sief?”I open the cockpit, desperate for some air, but the stink of blood throughout the chamber only makes me feel worse.“Sief, are you alright?”I look up, Qualaji staring at me, an expression of concern across her exotic features. Something tells me I don't look like a man who just defeated two giants right now.“I... don't think I'm cut out for torture.”“That's probably a good thing, Sief,” Qualaji smiles, gesturing for me to come closer.I kneel Raziel down, the edge of the cockpit coming level with Kajilapa's head, the behemoth giving a low moan as she nestles her snout against my chest. Qualaji walks up along Kajilapa's neck to her head, balance perfect, the behemoth lowering her head so the princess can stand level with me.I feel warmth around me, and in my dazed state it takes me a moment to realize the cause, Qualaji's arms wrapped around me in a tight hug.“Princess?”“Quala, call me Quala. Thank you Sief, for saving me.”In the back of my mind, some small part is screaming something about diplomatic incidents, but it's all too easy to ignore as I wrap my own arms around the slender body against mine, the pit in my stomach fading as I feel Quala's breath against my chest.>End of Thread
Thank you all for playing. Next thread in around a week. I can hang around for some Q&A now, if people would like.
>>40499469Thanks for running, Lordy.
>>40499469Please tell me they're not going to do anything more than a kiss in a live combat environment. Is Runt dead?
Every time I see lordy I laugh at the thought that the players in these quests are all middle aged southern women
>>40499469How wet is dat pussy?for both beast and rider
>>40499469Is there people doing scavenging runs into the battlefield for weapons and shit like house crest/sigil whatever?
>>40499419>F-four, fuck, four, there's four, Runt, Tooth, Skinner and MamaOkay, Runt will be taken care of by the Basilisk venom, so we have three left.>>40499450Aw, how adorable.Next time, back to giant killing!>>40499469How cute is Kajilapa for a behemoth out of 10?How wet is the princess right now?How good of an idea was setting the basilisk at them? Will Sief have the guts to skin the giants and make a makeshift container for the basilisk's head out of it?Don't answer the second question.>>40499550I'm the one who satrted calling him Lordy, I'm not sure how to feel about the fact that it's caught on.
>>40499551That beast is ready to show us her soft underbelly Quala too
>>40499469How would this mission have went differently if we'd brought Ratu?
>>40499550My sides.>>40499551Probably not particularly, I mean watching real torture is one of the things that is pretty much the opposite of sexually exciting for the vast majority.
Counting down to something damaging her tent "in the fight" so we'll "have" to share
>>40499649"princess" I can sleep in Raziel if need be" "Oh, but I insist you join me Sief."
>>40499685Ayyy yo Imperial u want som fukk
>>40499545They aren't going to fuck in a room full of dead bodies if that's what you're worried about.>>40499551>>40499617You are without a doubt Kajilapa's husbando, but her love for you is pure.>>40499571Not really, until a couple of years ago Iquani lands weren't open to Imperials, at least not officially.>>40499598>How cute is Kajilapa for a behemoth out of 10?According to Qualaji, 10/10, maybe more.>How good of an idea was setting the basilisk at them?It took down one giant and quite likely a second, evening up the odds is always to your advantage.>Will Sief have the guts to skin the giants and make a makeshift container for the basilisk's head out of it?Possibly not, you might have to roll for it.>>40499625It would have mostly gone the same, with a few differences. You would have had more support, but on the other hand you would have had a gloryhungry young Iquani warrior throwing himself into danger and dragging you with him.He also would have quite possibly been half-dead by this stage after a night of torrid passion with ghost-princess.He would also have been too dumb to realize that she was a ghost-princess and put his enervated state down to exhaustion or sickness, so he would have also been insufferably smug about having banged the princess, at least until he tried talking to her about it later and she explained to him that he actually fucked a ghost, then probably punched him in the face.
>>40499748 and on that day Sief learned, chicks don't dig premature ejaculation
>>40499751>He would also have been too dumb to realize that she was a ghost-princess and put his enervated state down to exhaustion or sickness, so he would have also been insufferably smug about having banged the princess, at least until he tried talking to her about it later and she explained to him that he actually fucked a ghost, then probably punched him in the face.Fuckin' gold
>>40499751>Possibly not, you might have to roll for it.Damn, don't really wanna strain Sief's psyche more than we have to.Is it possible that we might find something in this old imperial mesa that could be used to contain and transport a basilisk head?
>>40499751Would he have messed with the Basilisk portion of the plan?Like, required a roll to convince not to YOLO in the firt place, required a roll to convince not to prove how badass a Basilisk herder he is himself, etc.
>>40499751How much trouble would Sief be in f he did have sex with the Princess? What would the various people of ranks/family member's reaction be when they found out?
>>40499923Problly death. fukking a princess is a big deal dude
>>40499923I figure it depends on how much they respect his bravery here. Imperials probably full cluster fuck.
>>40499751>He also would have quite possibly been half-dead by this stage after a night of torrid passion with ghost-princess.Really gotta get the details on how far things got along before she realized it was a ghost and not really us.
>>40499751>Kajilapa's husbando,aw yiss best behemoth, we shall soon have one for us to use as a mount for our golems. Can we tame Behemoths?
>>40499885If Sief was alone certainly. I doubt he'd go full retard if the Princess tells him to sit his ass down.
>>40499751How much mass could Kajilapa carry/tow while keeping a speed that could reasonable let you get out of the danger zone of the battlefield in a day?Thinking of that fat LOOT!Is behemoth riding like horse riding in that it can tear the hymen?
>>40499977I doubt it, we wouldn't smell like clan.Unless of course we had a child with an Iquani, then at least we would smell like someone who smells like clan.
>>40500022Hey, if Kajilapa is anyone to go by, behemoths would love Sief!>>40499751Is there some superstition about behemoths and the people they take a liking to, like, well the only thing that comes to mind is Prison School with the crows and the asses.Like, do people say that if a behemoth gets attached to someone, they can't be bad, or something?
>>40499751What did the Princess see exactly when they were separated from the mist and saw the illusions.
>>40499869Entirely possible, yes.>>40499885He might well have done, yes.>>40499923Well that depends on numerous factors, like if he got caught, and whether the Khan considered it more valuable to have Sief marry his daughter rather than demand Sief's head. Right now, it would probably cause you some serious problems if found out.>What would the various people of ranks/family member's reaction be when they found out?Well, your father's reaction would be trying to high five you for one. Most other people would be... less positive about the whole thing.>>40499968Well, since she wasn't looking half-dead the next morning, obviously not that far.>>40499977Behemoths are generally raised from birth by their rider, it's why they are so closely bonded to them. Losing ones behemoth is a big deal because you can't really bond with another one without spending another ten to fifteen years raising it.>>40500011Quite a lot, Behemoths are definitely endurance animals.>SpoilerCould happen.Of course most Iquani women also ride horses from a very young age.>>40500073A rider's behemoth liking you is generally seen as a good sign, so yes, the fact that Kajilapa liked you helped a lot.>>40500079Ghost-Sief tried to talk his way into her tent.
>>40500108>Well, your father's reaction would be trying to high five you for one.I don't know if sief would be happy or upset at this happening.
>>40500108>Well, since she wasn't looking half-dead the next morning, obviously not that far.But at the same time obviously far enough to embarrass her, unlike our "immediately salt her just to be safe"
>>40500108>Behemoths are generally raised from birth by their rider, it's why they are so closely bonded to them. Losing ones behemoth is a big deal because you can't really bond with another one without spending another ten to fifteen years raising it.How much would an egg/babe cost?
>>40500168Pretty sure they are pretty much literally priceless
>>40500146Annoyed probably, it's be hilarious all the same.
>>40500168Your life Imperial
>>40500108Would there theoretically be less dire consequences for an Iquani who manages to do the princess or would Ratu just have been too busy being insufferable to think of the consequences of sleeping with the princess? Also, how salty is Ratu going to be when we come back? How much trouble could he actually cause us if he's really pissed?
>>40500108She seem flustered though but I just caught up to this series Also how old is the maid.
>>40500261I think Lordy said she has a good 15 years on Sief.
>>40500261First thread says she's well into her thirties.
>>40500250>Would there theoretically be less dire consequences for an Iquani who manages to do the princess or would Ratu just have been too busy being insufferable to think of the consequences of sleeping with the princess? The second one, yeah, Ratu is nowhere near renowned enough that the Khan would be cool with him getting it on with one of his daughters.>Also, how salty is Ratu going to be when we come back?Pretty salty>How much trouble could he actually cause us if he's really pissed?Well he's the son of a chieftain, so he's not without power, he's not going to be raising an army against you or anything though.>>40500261In her mid-thirties.
>>40500108>Well that depends on numerous factors, like if he got caught, and whether the Khan considered it more valuable to have Sief marry his daughter rather than demand Sief's head. Right now, it would probably cause you some serious problems if found out. What about if we just made out a bunch
>>40500338So sief can't acquire behemoths?>>40500387Thinking savages will stop at being kissed, its called desert fever for a reason anon.
>>40500387Do whatever you want, just don't get caught doing it.That's the noble way.Alternatively do something impressive enough to convince the Khan that it's totally worth it for him to let you marry one of his daughters. The Iquani do value glorious achievements very highly after all.>>40500418Sadly not, at least not any that would be of any use to him for the next 10+ years.
>>40500455Single handy destroying mama stump count?Cause right now the princes only led us an head butted a guy.
>>40500455So where do Iquani draw the line between "harmless youthful indiscretions, just don't get ahead of yourselves and take it further" and "off with your head"
>>40500498The line would be at Imperial anon.
>>40500338Well, that's certainly going to be annoying to deal with.Is he likely to be his father's only, first or most impressive son though?I mean, the Khan has shitloads of children so I'd suspect chieftains have similar arrangements if in smaller scale.Given that I also don't really suspect that he'll rise high on his own (seems way too stereotypical hotheaded Iquani for that), I'd guess the most trouble he'll cause will by spreading the salt, which isn't nice but someone else would have done anyways.>>40500455How glorious is this current adventure anyways? Is it just small scale stuff for up and coming badasses to cut their teeth on or are these genuinely impressive achievements?
>>40500492Probably not, Mama Stump's head would get you a lot of respect, but you'd probably have to do something like killing an infamous Jotunn warlord from beyond the borders of the Iquani expanse to have a shot at being given permission to marry an Iquani princess.Better yet, take down a leviathan, that'll get you some serious respect, and of course if you took the head of a dragon, then the Khan would probably offer you a daughter without even having to ask, because that's the kind of hardcore genes you want in your bloodline.>>40500498Hard to say, in some ways the Iquani seem a lot more laid back than Imperials, in other ways, far, far less so.>>40500536You don't really know much about Ratu or his clan, it is likely that his father has at least a couple of other children though, most chieftains tend to have more than one wife.>How glorious is this current adventure anyways?>Is it just small scale stuff for up and coming badasses to cut their teeth on or are these genuinely impressive achievements? It's impressive enough in an up and coming badass sort of way, but it's not going to win over the hearts and minds of the Iquani people or anything.
>>40500585How hard is it to tame a Leviathan? How much does a batch of eggs cost?
>>40499469Thanks for running, Lordy.>>40500585>Probably not, Mama Stump's head would get you a lot of respect, but you'd probably have to do something like killing an infamous Jotunn warlord from beyond the borders of the Iquani expanse to have a shot at being given permission to marry an Iquani princess. What if we kill that imperial golem guy who's wrecking Iquanis near the border?
>>40500650Don't even think about that for the next couple years, we are nowhere near his level.
>>40500628Leviathans are a form of titan, they cannot be tamed, they are highly intelligent, gigantic, monstrous assholes.Kraken on the other hand can be tamed, sort of, you know that back when the Sea Princes were at war with the Empire they made use of trained Krakens. You don't know what the cost on Kraken eggs is, probably tens of thousands of gold at least.>>40500650It would get you respect in a certain sort of way, but it would also be seen as "Imperials dealing with the problems Imperials caused us", so don't expect anything beyond respect for it.
>>40500585Thinking about stuff Iquani do for glory, what kind of cred would taking that rogue imperial shithead give anyways?
>>40500711This (>>40500725) was meant for if an Iquani does it.
>>40500766Oh yeah, if an Iquani put down Jackal they would get mad respect.Plenty have tried. The results have been... messy.
>>40500824Is his back story punisher like or just a crazed ass hole?is he on a crazy oath/mission?
>>40500824What the tech level on Jackal's mech? What chance would we have against the higher end titan kin right now?
>>40500824What chance would have Dad at his height have had against the higher tier shit?
Don't forget to archive
>>40500824Nigga we ain't letting you sleep. What does seif and the sandnigger princess think of our odds?
>>40500860Sief doesn't actually know much about Jackal, he's kind of a black eye on the Empire that they're eager to forget about.>>40500871Jackal's golem dates back to the second Iquani war, so it's a bit outdated, the fact that it's still running either means he's scavenging parts from the old battlefields and knows how to maintain it himself, or he's being fed new parts and maintenance from somewhere.>What chance would we have against the higher end titan kin right now?Giants you've already fought, cyclops you could probably take, a bit bigger and smarter than giants, but not by much. Jotunn, maybe, it would be a tough fight. Anything tougher than that Sief would need some serious help for if he wanted to get out of there alive. There hasn't been a confirmed Leviathan or Dragon slain in just over one hundred years, not since Zorakkian the Righteous Heart of the Forest Made Manifest (Yes dragons do love ridiculously overblown titles) was slain at the cost of countless Imperial lives to claim the eastern frontier.>>40500890He could handle a Jotunn, probably more than one. Leviathans and Dragons were always out of his league though, as they are for most people.>>40500922No worries anon, I remember.>>40500947Odds of what? Beating Jackal? Low.
>>40500965I was talking about the mama stump situation.
>>40500999Oh, right, yeah, they're both fairly confident that it can be done if they're careful.
>>40500965>Beating Jackal? Low.Why does he move at the speed of sound? is he the quickest jackal around?
