Doggy Style! This quest takes place in the post Civil War 1800s on the American frontier. Here you will encounter lawlessness, wilderness, the supernatural, and strange sights no townie would dare believe. You play Jonathan Marsh, a mysterious gun man.Combat actions will be determined by a 1d100 roll. For example, if you are shooting a gun at someone, rolling 25 or below would result in a miss, 26-50 results in a graze, 51-75 results in a hit, and 76-100 results in a critical hit.As your character's skill with a gun increases, these will change. Your enemies will also roll, although they never seem to be as lucky when trying to hit you. Each post, I will present a number of choices, as well as a write-in options. Creative write-ins will be rewarded!Remember, the frontier is a dangerous place! Death is very possible in this quest, although your fate may be stranger still.Let's get weird!
The Kid !62EWFX5XyA 05/31/15(Sun)02:32:53 No.40294990>>40294831"Let's go kill some werewolves!" you say enthusiastically as you take 12 silver bullets from Turner. One hand holding a handkerchief to his bleeding face, Turner smiles as best he can saying, "Finally, no more waiting! All the beasts will die!""Oh, by the way, there's an angry mob outside waiting to burn the building down," you add as you begin running.Turner thinks for a second before saying, "Well I'm sure they won't mind us killing the whores then if they're going to burn the place down anyway."Perfect. It seems like everything is coming together quite nicely.>Go outside and meet the crowd>Time for some good old-fashioned prostitute murdering!>Ask Turner if he knows which are werewolves>Look for Tull>Write-in

>>40355798eh we get compensated for every bullet used while solving the problem as was agreed in the deal. Doesn't really matter if we use borrowed bullets.
>>40355477Time for some good, old-fashioned, prostitute murdering! But then again, maybe cutting off the head of the snake would be the best decision."Turner," you say, "You reckon you'd know which one of them girls are werewolves?""Probably not," he says, "Although there are some simple tests we can do to find out.""Shultz!" you say as the cowering man straightens up a bit at hearing his name called, "Gather all the girls down here in this cage. Me and Turner'll go kill Tull and then come back down here and kill all of them together. You got it?""Uh...I...uh..." he stutter."Good. >>40355994You knock. "Enter," you hear from the other side. You look at Turner questioning lay and he motions for you to enter. You see an old man staring at a fireplace."I have heard the mobs outside, Turner. Are you planning on killing me today?" says the man in a deep Carolinian drawl."Yes," replies Turner.Well there goes any chance at surprise."There's a full moon tonight," says Tull. "Why the he'll pick tonight? Why not last week? Would have been perfect.""The opportunity just presented itself," replies Turner."Oh, I see," he says, turning around to face the two of you."So did your new boyfriend here help you grow some balls, or are you just borrowing his?" You move quickly, grabbing him by the collar."You expect to frighten me, boy?" he says, unimpressed. You point your gun at his knee and fire.Tull yells out in pain as he goes down. Inspecting the wound."Don't worry," you tell him, "it wasn't a silver bullet that time. I just want to make sure we get all the answers we need before we have to put you down," you say, looking at the crumpled mess of a man on the floor.Tull manages a painful laugh, "What is it you boys want to know anyway?">Who bit you?>Where'd you get all those books on werewolves?>Is Turner as much of a bitch as I think he is?>Let Turner ask the questions>Write-in

>>40356762"So," you begin, "before you die, there's a few things we need to know.""Yes, it is vitally important that you tell us–""Is Turner as big a bitch as I think he is?" you ask quickly.Turner looks at you, totally stunned for a second."Oh, that and more, my friend," Tull laughs.Turner raises his sword above his head, as if he's going to strike Tull."Oh please, you could have done that any time. Why would you do it now?" he laughs.Turner slowly lowers the sword."There you go, boy. You want to know why I hired you? Why I didn't just hire some fake wolf-hand? You were recommended to me by the one who bit me! Apparently, one of his children had escaped you once before. The idea is if I hired one of you hunters, the others would stay away. And so I hired the hunter too frightened to kill me. And I gave you some fake ultimatum. How long did it take you to think of this plan to get the town to riot against me?" Tull rants."Well, it wasn't exactly my idea...""Oh my sweet baby Jesus," Tull says from the floor, "you didn't even think of it? Who did? Was it you, stranger?" he says, motioning to you, "How long have you been in town?""A little more than a day," you reply."A little more than a day. You've been here almost a year, Turner. >>40357175>You've been here almost a year, Turner.uwotm8Is old Tull going senile, he's been here 43 months going by the number of whores he's offed on a monthly basis. ...how have they been keeping them from revolting against the systematic murdering anyway? And Vernon said the wolves first appeared 5 years ago, so Tulll wouldn't have waited 4 years to hire him.
>>40357175"You mentioned the one who bit you," you say."Ah, yes you're both probably dying to know where to find her," Tull says."Her?" replies a still stunned Turner."Yes boy, try to keep up. You go about 10 west of here and you'll find the town she lived in when she big me. Granted I haven't seen her in two years. Just ask for Lilith Lingus. Someone is bound to know where she is,""Did you get all your werewolf books from her?" you ask."No, no that was just luck. Some fortune teller lady came into town and sold them to me. I'd say Turner's been a good boy and earned them. Go to the bookshelf behind me and pull out the book called Increasing Your Manhood. A secret compartment will open to the books. You can keep the Manhood book too, Turner."Damn, this guy is just fucking wrecking Turner.Turner takes a deep breath."Do you know how many wolf whores you have left?" he asks."Well," Tull think for a second, "you've been here almost a year, 6 were killed before that, one per moon cycle makes it...""Six," Turner says.Tull's eyes go wide for a moment before he smiles."Looks like you did manage to pull one over on me, boy. You been killing my whores without me knowing?" Tull smiles."Yes, I have. If you had taken notice you would have realized I've been sneaking in replacements for your girls and killing them off. It seems you've been preoccupied though," Turner says slyly."Good job, boy. You got me this once," replies Tull.>Kill him >Give him to the lunch mob, oughta be fun.>Ask him something else>Write-in

You waste no time.Loading your gun with a silver bullet, you shoot Tull in the stomach and drop him out the window. the civil war took ~5 years. I don't really remember too much about minimum age of enlistment but I doubt it was over 18 more likely 16 giving us easily enough time to have fought in the civil war and still be under 25.

>>40359424google says as many as 20% were underage and the confederates didn't set an age limit.>>40359466Yeah, that was against mexico (Texan here) Pic related
From PBS.orgWhen war broke out in 1861, kids across the North and the South said goodbye to their fathers, brothers, uncles, and cousins -- or joined the military themselves. As many as 20% of Civil War soldiers were younger than 18. That was the minimum recruiting age for Union soldiers, but many people willingly overlooked the law. The Confederacy set no minimum age. Many young soldiers enlisted as musicians -- drummers, fifers, or buglers. In theory, musicians didn't fight. But once a battle began, these kids often armed themselves -- to save their own lives or the lives of their friends.

Probably confused that there are hookers where there should be wolves.>Do the test, then wait for the whores to transform in the cage so that everyone knows what happened>Fuck that, torch the cage.>Do the test, kill the wolf whores>Write-in

>>40360099>Do the test, then wait for the whores to transform in the cage so that everyone knows what happened
>>40360050Anon, there's like 40 something whores in that cage. You only have like 11 silver bullets.
>>40360099>>Do the test, then wait for the whores to transform in the cage so that everyone knows what happenedUh... there isn't like, a good reason to hide the supernatural from people is there, Turner. How come I ain't never heard of real werewolves and werewolf hunters before.
>>40360099>Do the test, kill the wolf whoresIf we wait for them to transform, they will just tear up the uninfected ones and break the cage.
>>40360099>Do the test, then wait for the whores to transform in the cage so that everyone knows what happened>>40360120Could shoot all of them with normal, then silver on the ones that survived.
>>40360142This makes me realize I've never given you an actual bullet count. I was picturing it being around 30, but since I never gave it to you, that's be unfair. I'll get a pastebin of your inventory and backstory up one of these days.
>>40360135We can easily get the uninfected out.Plus, we're the fastest shot in the west, as is exemplified by my roll
Rolled 1 (1d1)>>40360180Dammit... Fuck autocorrect.

>>40360099"Turner, is there any reason I ain't never heard of werewolves before today?" you say, curious.Turner thinks for a second before saying, "It's easier to lie in most cases. Werewolves were never really a problem in the east since it was mostly a disease infecting natives. When they got pushed out, so did werewolves. Plus, it's easy to hunt them without people knowing out here. Most of the time you just challenge it to a duel while it's human and win with your silver bullets.""But," you say, "telling these people wouldn't put them in danger?""No," he replies."Okay, we're going to feed those silver pills to all the whores, then we lock the once who blow chunks back up and wait for them to transform so these guys know what really happened. They'll vouch for you for the rest of the town and you can leave in peace."Turner looks surprised by your thoughtfulness."I'm surprised by how smart you can be," he says.>Tell him thanks>Hey thanks frien–wait a second!>Whatever, just feed get all the pills to the whores.>Get those men and Shultz to help you with this.>Write-in

>>40360304H-how do we force feed people without getting bitten?Lie and trick them?

>>40360452>That awkward moment when we immediately throw it up.
>>40360304"Hey thanks frien–hey wait a second!"By the time you realize the subtle jab, he's already walking toward the cage of whores and getting his small sack of marbles out. Now, how to go about this?>Let them out one at a time and make them take the pill at gunpoint. If they refuse or try anything funny, shoot them.>Go in there an force feed it to them.>lie and tell them it's medicine. Take one yourself to prove it's not dangerous.>Write-in

>>40360485>Let them out one at a time and make them take the pill at gunpoint. If they refuse or try anything funny, shoot them.>Use the normal bullets at first,in case of non-werewolves refusal
>>40360557you're a fun guy op Inb4 someone says for you
>>40360552What? That's crazy talk, anon. Wouldn't you think someone would realize if they were a werewolf?
>>40360584Would you know if you were a mermaid?
>>40360539Well it's probably not Turner himself, or we'd notice his face healling unnaturally quickly, and he couldn't wear silver armor.
>>40360485"Listen here, ladies! We locked you up because there's a sickness goin' round! We got these pills that'll fix you right up though! Completely safe!" you say as you pop one in your mouth and swallow. You open up the door to the cage and with the help of Shultz and a section of the mob, you give every prostitute there a pill. And the end of this procedure, 5 throw up.Fuck.>Fuck! >>40360675Fuck!"Fuck! Shultz, you sure you got all of them?" you ask."What? Of course!" says Shultz. "I'm not hiding some pretty lady from you or anything!"Oh."Damnit. We'll figure out what to do when we get there."You find a girl, probably under 20, curled up in a ball under a bed. "H-hey Sally!" says Shultz with as much enthusiasm as he can muster."Hey Billy," says a soft voice.
