General Synopsis/Quick Introduction: As the subject line implies, this quest will be taking place within the Nasuverse For those not as well-read into TYPE-MOON's works, please do not feel overwhelmed or threatened; I will do my best to ease as many of you in as possible This particular installment of the quest will be continuing our latest trend of beginning with our main character, instead of with a prologue featuring his Great Grandfather, whose penis began this entire shitshow. In a normal post you can expect me to provide four options with the fifth being a prompt for write-ins. Thank you in advance for any consideration you may give this thread and please feel free to offer any criticism or feedback.
Previously - After being introduced to Toby's arbitrary grading system for a person's capabilities, we found out some pertinent information regarding ourselves. We also learned some important things about Toby. However, perhaps the most important thing we learned is that our Father is something a douche and intends to hunt and kill us and the rest of the family, starting next year....all in all, the first day of summer has kind of sucked so far. >>40015994Hands in pockets, head and gaze down, you make your way through downtown Toronto, ignoring your friend's, Anna and Toby, as they attempt to engage you in their heated discussion regarding the Naruto sequel. Under normal circumstances, you might have been the most vocal of your trio. But these aren't 'normal circumstances'...normal isn't really a concept that can be applied to your life anymore. In the last forty-eight hours you've had to fight both an amateur boxer and his magically altered brother. You've narrowly escaped death and learned that you are so much more than a human. You've learned that you may not be able to keep your family or your friends from the machinations of a group of bloodthirsty magi that want to see everything your 'Grandpa Eli' has built up torn down. That, and your father intends to kill you and the rest of your family. So yeah, it's been something of a crappy weekend so far. However, the weekend is far from over and given the texts you've received from Jessie, the artsy girl you've been flirting with, it has the distinct possibility of getting better. The question is...are you even up for it? Your Grandpa Eli asked you to 'be a normal teenager' for the rest of the weekend while he did his best to 'fix things'....but can you even DO that? A) Sure you can; confirm with Jessie that you'll meet with her after she finishes her shift at the art store B) Sure you can, but you can't bring Jessie in too close; she might get hurt. Tell her you can't make the date. C) You can't; blow off Anna and Toby and go find some place where you can think, alone. D) You can't; Go find Grandpa Eli and help him fix things. Might a well be responsible. E) Write In

>>40016307"Screw this Sasuke-emo crap" you mutter to yourself as you fish out your cell-phone. You ignore the looks of confusion Toby and Anna throw your way and type out a quick text to Jessie, informing her that you'll be around JUST as her shift ends. Stuffing the phone back in your pocket, you look up and begin walking, this time, with a bit of hop in your step. You are determined to do this, to get at least one weekend of summer fun out before whatever tragedy you're going to face arrives. "Hey Toby, you've been meaning to check out D&D 5th, right?" you ask, glancing to your left just as he catches up to you"Yeah, I have actua- Is that Dante?" Toby stops walking and simply points, prompting Anna and you to follow. And he's not wrong. Stepping into your local gaming store is Dante Wilson. Dante and you have something of a complicated relationship. Dante's younger sister, Melody, has had a crush on you since she first joined the Anime Club. Unfortunately, she is only 13 years old, due to the fact that she skipped eighth grade directly into ninth. Now, you've been nothing but friendly and polite to her, but you know Dante as something of an overprotective brother, so he joined the anime club, but only, it seemed, to keep an eye on you. However, prior to that, given his position as head of the Athletic Clubs Committee at school, you too get along fairly well at Student Council and the two of you even have similar taste in regards to Anime. Nonetheless...A) Head on into the gaming store and say hey to Dante; he's not all bad, just a really involved big brother B) Head on into the gaming store and try to ignore Dante; he might say something to you, but you two are more acquaintances than friends C) Head somewhere else; there's that Chinese place you guys like to eat at two blocks from here D) Head to the park down the street E) Write In

>>40016886"Huh. Guess it is" you mutter as you continue on your way to the game store. As you enter, you nod politely to Mr. Hernandez, the owner of the store. He nods back at you, then turns to address the question a very familiar girl was just asking him. It's Melody. She turns to face whoever Mr. Hernandez was just addressing and when she realizes it's you, she grows visibly flustered. Immediately dismissing whatever it is that Mr. Hernandez is saying she shouts, just a little too loud, "Hey Eli!" before looking about, obviously embarassed by her outburst. Smiling politely at her, you throw her a small wave and then lock eyes with Dante. He looks mildly unimpressed. Standing in the board-game section, arms crossed across his broad chest, Dante looks like some sort of Hasbro sponsored bouncer. Broadening your smile as you approach, you raise your open hand and step just within his personal space. For a moment, Dante does nothing, simply stares down at you. You instantly become aware of how close you are, how Dante has nearly six inches of height on you and quite a bit of muscle. But then Dante grabs hold of your hand and pulls you into a forceful, broshake. When he finally lets you go again, you notice he's smiling at you and, oddly enough, you're smiling right back. "Man! I've been meaning to speak to tryin' to reach you since TIME! Bruh, Aldnoah Zero!" Chuckling, you nod and say "Yeah; I know. That's why I recommended it" "Still, son, fuckin' Slain? Cold blooded, son. Cold-blooded" "Yo, I heard you fucked up Carlos....that's some real shit; you good?" he asks, indicating your bandaged hand, and the one on your face. But, I've never had a chance to, you know, get with a group and do that thing. But you know ya boy was fuckin' it up on that Lord of the Rings Risk" "Well, actually. Toby is hosting a sleep-over-gaming session thing tomorrow. I'm gonna be there and so is Anna" "Oh for real? Is that the thing my sister was asking my mom about last week?" "Yes it is" Meoldy interjects. Stifling the urge to jump, you turn to open up the conversation to her and find her doing her best to maintain a smile. For some reason, her smile looks different. "Oh hey! You finally got those braces" you say, indicating the network of metal in Melody's mouth. She nods, obviously embarrassed and then glances at her elder brother. "You should say yes Dante because Momma said if you go, I can go and I really want to go" Melody seems to be speaking rapid fire and every now and then a bit of spittle flies from her mouth. Immediately, Dante adopts a deadpan expression before whispering "What time should we arrive? Should we bring something? Drinks, snacks, a movie?" It seems you've succeeded in getting Dante to join in the Anime Club gaming night. However, given your success on that front, you begin considering asking Jessie to join you tomorrow night. Assuming tonight's date does not go horribly. You find your thoughts regarding Jessie interrupted as Melody throws her arms around you. She only reaches up to your shoulder, but it feels like she's putting everything she's got into this because it is one hell of a grasp. "Thanks so much Eli" she whispers, sounding more than a little breathless. "Yeah. No....PROBLEM" you exclaim a little louder than you wanted to, as you finally pry Melody off of you. Beaming with joy, she rushes off, bag of what you suspect are dice, due to the rattling, bouncing against her leg. Snorting with laughter, Dante begins to leave, obviously far too busy being amused to be annoyed or worried. "Ooooh boy. You just fucked up" he whispers, still chuckling as he follows his sister out. Seriously considering whether or not you can take back your invite, you find yourself joined by Toby and Anna, who appear to have bought some things. "Hey, Toby. >>40018219"Actually yeah. I've been meaning to check out 5th ed" you say, gesturing towards the D&D section. Unfortunately, even from here, you can see that the 'newest' part of the bookshelf is bare. Turning, you glare at Toby and Anna who are both carefully avoiding your gaze. Those fuckers bought the last of the core rules. "You two suck" you mutter darkly before walking up to the counter and asking Mr. Hernandez for the dice bucket. Mr. Hernandez usually has a bucket of dice behind the counter, any dice in the bucket are randoms that did not come as part of a particular set, so he sold them four for a dollar or 30 cents a pop. Thanking Mr. Hernandez as you placed your eight new dice in your pocket, you soon followed your friends out of the store. In a matter of minutes, you and your friends find yourselves lounging in one of the University of Toronto's buildings, eating, talking and joking. You find yourself enjoying life once more, nothing more than a trio of teenagers, trying to milk the most out of every moment. "Uh, Elijah? Elijah Shoshtak" a familiar voice inquires. Its soft, feminine and seems to be coming from the far corner of the room. Glancing away from Toby's Player Guide you find yourself staring at Georgia Saunders, Jessie's older sister. Georgia is kind of famous at your school. She was one of those overachieving kids that simply refused to stop being exceptional. She was an exceptional track and field runner, she became student council vice president, she managed to maintain the highest GPA in her grade for four years in a row and she won a butt-load of awards for the school as a dancer. She smiles at you and pats at the sloppy bun she has organized her auburn curls into. She doesn't look quite like Jessie. Despite being two years older, she's both shorter and more petite than Jessie, and where Jessie seems to tan fairly well, Georgia has a scattering of freckles that dot her skin. Similarly, she does not seem to have Jessie's ability to stay up without her face suffering for it. Georgia looks especially pale and the dark rings under her eyes are almost comically large and pronounced. "Hey, are you alright?" you ask, making sure to maintain eye contact and do your best to convey concern, not criticism; you learned that from your Grandpa Eli.For a moment, it looks like Georgia might lie, but as she holds your gaze, she instead smiles sadly and sighs. 'No. Not really; I have two more exams this week and they're my hardest ones. Thus the disaster zone" she says sarcastically as she gestures to the mess of books and loose papers. She glances at your hand and then back to your face, before sighing and taking it. "I am so going to regret this" she mutters as she begins shoveling all of the things that were covering the table into her backpack. By the time she's finished, Toby, Anna and you are ready to go. You've already told them of the plan, and while skeptical of your ability to pull it off, they seem willing to assist you. So, the four of you head off. Chattering away about your respective lives, you learn quite a bit about Georgia and about her sister. It seems there's far more to both Jessie and Georgia than meets the eye. Though she tries to put on an air of 'too cool to care' Georgia's stories seem to paint Jessie as an avid fan of comic books and sci-fi television series. Apparently, the walls of her room are covered in her fanart. Well, the more you know, right? Geogria on the other hand, is more your stereotypical former weeb. Not unlike you, she realized just how embarassing her antics were and subdued them before the beginning of her junior year of highschool. As you laugh at the latest of her tales you find yourselves at your destination. One of the many townhouses that surround U of T. Alright, it's go-time. (Can you please roll 1d100. Leaping and then kicking off the dumpster, you grab hold of the bottom rung of the fire-escape with your good hand. How did you know I liked comics?!?" "Your fairy god mother told me" With Jessie dragging you along by the hand, she flies about the store, moving from one display to the other, pointing out the comic books she appreciates the most. She does not seem shy when it comes to voicing her opinion regarding comics and their creators. You've never been much of a comic fan yourself; you've read a few here and there and your younger brother likes to talk your ear off about them whenever he gets a chance, but you know next to nothing compared to Jessie. So, with her carrying the conversation and dragging you about the store, you have ample time to notice something in the ceiling mounted mirror you two walk past. >>40023779Wow, that is one hell of an impressive display, especially considering that the Avengers movie only came out recently. Being dragged about the store, offering only the slightest comment to prompt her to continue. She seems to be enjoying herself. After a while, and Jessie all but forcing you to buy a few first issues of three comic series, she has sat you down in the cafe section of the store and is continuing to lecture you on how great a few of them are. "Seriously; this place is awesome. How did you ever find it?" Shrugging you reply with "Google" and smile at her, prompting her to smile back at you. Then her phone begins ringing and she glances down at it, frowning slightly. "Oh crap! I forgot to tell my parents about this; they're really angry. I'm really, really sorry but I gotta go" she seems pretty hesitant to leave. A) "Oh, that's no problem. I'll just take you home on my bike..plus it'll give us a bit more time" B) "Oh, well, I can walk you to the bus station, if you'd like C) "Cool. Do you want me to walk you home? >>40024828>Do you want me to walk you home?Only if we're doing it gently.
>>40024828"Well, how's about I give you a lift? It'll probably be quicker than the TTC or walking" "Sure, that sounds great"So, with that, you two make your way back to the ground floor and are soon on your way towards Jessie's home. Choosing to take your time rather than rush off, the bike ride is much like the one that led to the Silver Snail, though with a distinct air of impending conclusion. Neither of you speaks as you ride, Jessie simply leans back and you support her with your shoulder as you peer around her. Eventually, however you two find yourselves in front of Jessie's apartment building. Hopping off your bike, Jessie gives you no chance to stop her or even speak as she kisses you. It lasts far longer than your kiss with Anna did but not as long as you'd like, as she breaks the kiss and rushes off. Well...that went...well, that went fucking great. A) Head over to Grandpa Eli's house; time to relax and stuff after a tiring day B) Head over to Toby's house; his dad is probably gone still and you guys can play videogames all night and talk about how much fun that date was C) Head over to Anna's house; the whole, dating another girl thing might be weird, but she's your best friend. >>40025650As you roll up to your Grandpa Eli's house, you hop off your bike and find the door unlocked. That's odd, your Grandpa Eli usually locks the door around 7 PM. It's well past 8 at the moment. Kicking in the door, mouse gun drawn and eyes wide, you catch sight of an odd occurrence. Sitting in your Grandpa Eli's living room, sipping tea is Dante Wilson, a man who looks like an older version of him sitting beside him sipping tea. Across from them is a laughing Grandpa Eli, obviously delighted by something that you just missed. Dante smiles awkwardly at you before muttering "H~ey Eli" waving weakly as he does so. "What in the hell is even going on?" "Good evening Eli; I am Jason Wilson, Dante's father" the large black man gets to his feet, offering you one of his massive hands. You shake it, stifling a wince as he crushes your hand, seemingly with no effort. Frowning, you take a seat beside your grandpa, pouring out a measure of tea for yourself in one of the empty cups. Your Grandpa smirks at you and then jerks his head at Jason, obviously leaving any explanations to him. "Eli, your grandfather and I have made some very important decisions regarding Dante and you. Especially considering the events of tonight" (1/2)
>>40026344"What sort of decisions?" "The kind regarding the pair of you and what you will be doing this summer" Jason thrusts his chin at the table, indicating a familiar piece of paper. The last time you saw this device and the results it gave it was with your name and your abilities on it. However, now, it seems to be Dante's capabilities. Name: Dante WilsonAge: 16Gender: MaleHeight: Seventy-six inchesWeight: 178 lbsSpecies: Human (Magus?)PARAMETERS: Strength : C+ (You are one hell of a beefcake, huh?) >>40026856Gesturing subtly that you have finished reading you allow Jason to continue, crossing your arms as you sit back in your seat. "You see, the Wilsons have been a part of very special branch of the Church for quite some time now. With that in mind, Dante has been training for most of his life to prepare for his inclusion in certain missions that this branch of the church undertakes." Jason flourishes with his hand, indicating his son's clearly visible physique, prompting Dante to look away, obviously embarrassed. "However, this summer will be his last before he takes part in some....practical examination, if you would. As such, your grandfather and I have determined that it would be a good idea for you two to band together this summer and learn as much as you can from one another." Hmm. Actually, given what you can see on that paper and that you've had no sparring partner around your level before...this might just work out. A) "Fine, sounds fair enough to me" B) "Fine, but we get the weekends to ourselves; we do what we want on Saturdays and Sundays"C) "No dice; I decide what I'm doing. No one else"D) "No thanks" Walk away. E) Write In

>>40027442>A) "Fine, sounds fair enough to me"Git gud!
>>40027442"Fine. But Dante and I get the weekends to ourselves" "Agreed; you will need your rest days"Jason immediately agrees, getting to his feet and offering his hand for you to shake once more. After the shake, he and his son make their way out, Dante whispering "See you tomorrow night" before the door closes behind him. Immediately you turn on your grandpa Eli, eyebrow raised quizzically. He indicates that you should sit and, in hopes of getting answers quickly, you do so. "You need to be ready for...whatever, and I'm not sure I know how to prepare you. So I outsourced. Jason is one of the deadliest men I've ever seen and he's an exceptional instructor. So, you should be in good hands." Well, you can't really argue with that, now can you. "Besides....that kid, Dante? His ability is....important and I want to have a hand in how it plays out. I want you involved with him, to hep guide it in a direction that doesn't end poorly for everyone" "Plus, I'll pay the two of you to do some work around the house when you aren't training....I really hate mowing the lawn and stuff" END OF #5
