You are Ur'shal, chieftain of the Stonetusk Clan and ruler of all you survey, which unfortunately at this stage is just rocks, rocks and more rocks. To support your large clan and its slaves, you need a lot of food, something which the Great Wastes has in rather short supply. That means you need more land to hunt. While the Tonguerippers may be no more, their legacy is still causing you some ongoing frustration, in the form of the countless Gaunts lurking in their former territory. It's annoying, but for the next few months you're going to be lacking in the forces to move against your other enemies while most of your clan clears out this infestation, or you'll wind up with a lot of dead hunters and no way to feed yourselves.Still, while you can't make any bold moves against Slaagyr or the shapeshifters, you still need to figure out a good use of your time while you wait. If you want to make any plans regarding the organization of your clan, or your own personal advancement, now is the time to put them into action.>Write-in

>>39669075>>39669304>>39669245Seconded, and also make a plan on what to do with shapeshifters.I remember there was one of making the shapeshifter orc children to be a separate tribe a bit away from us, and that we should get the alpha female before going along with the plan. Also did we get any boons/dreams?

>>39669075No paste bin smut?
>>39669217Approved>>39669384>there's no reason he couldn't just crush a small tribe of humans if they went against him.Alone, yeah though that would mean one less tribe of humans to throw at us, so its a win anyway, especially if his forces took any casualties taking out the traitors. A more successful rebellion would give us a useful auxiliary force to cover the years until our first baby boom matures. It'll be a decade or so before we start really getting replacements for our casualties naturally.
>>39669505It also means less roundears to enslave, though.
>>39669075So I was going through the character sheets, and I noticed that, besides ourselves, the only orcs with Y'zagya Zoka favour are Za'ria and Koz'rak. I get Za'ria, since she's basically the Slavewhisperer, but Koz'rak doesn't have any more non-orc slaves than some of the other guys. Is it because he has more varied species in his harem, or does his handling of his slaves stand out to Y'zagya Zoka?
Well, whole lot of things here, so we'll go through them one by one.Firstly, the human tribes working for Slaagyr. If you want to convince them to turn on him, you will need to send some orcs out there to speak with them. So do you want to do so, and if so, who do you want to lead the mission?>Yes>No>>39669464I have it open and half-finished, so unfortunately it's going to have to wait until after the thread now. Just couldn't seem to come up with a scenario that quite clicked with me and had a lot of false starts writing it.
>>39669551True, but there's not exactly a shortage of those anyway. We'll probably end up with our own population in human slaves once we're done with Slaygar.

>>39669584>YesI was thinking spyguy. He's sneaky and trustworthy
>>39669584>NoTips our hand if they refuse. Slaagyr knows we're after him, but we don't need to poke that hornet's nest again while we're cleaning up our own back yard.
>>39669584>YesThe idea that Slagyr doesn't know that we want him dead is silly.
>>39669584>>Nothe leader of the humans allied with slaayr (forgot his name) has been established as an dishonorable cunt, no point in taking risks

>>39669584>YesI'm tired of always reacting to his schemes. time to hatch a few of our own.
>>39669584>>NoToo much hassle, don't want to risk losing orcs.

>>39669603>>he always wanted to flyWe have Vulture mounts.
Looks like no wins on that one.Moving on then. The camp. Do you want to build actual homes out of stone, improve the fortifications, or leave it be. Ur is aware that in time he'll have to leave the wastes or spread his people out a lot more so it can support their growing numbers, but it's a good base of operations for the moment.>Homes and Fortifications>Just Fortifications>Leave it

>>39669766>>Just FortificationsUnderground prison cells maybe? We have a couple prisoners.
>>39669766>>Homes and FortificationsBut have the homes also be fortified.
>>39669766Using stone,>Just fortificationsWe should look into building some yurts or similar easily transportable structures, though. there's a happy medium between plain tents and permanent houses.
>>39669766>Homes and Fortifications>Underground
>>39669811That underground river has DANGER PLOT HOOK written all over it, anon, no reason to think it's safer unless we know things about it and have explored it to some degree, especially since the surface isn't exactly unsafe, considering we have Vulture surveillance and it's pretty hard to sneak up on people in a barren wasteland and have been living comfortably for months.
>>39669874I figured it can be good for alot of reason to go underground.1.Hide our numbers2.harder to spy on3.protected from the heat4.has a good supply of water, (and if the orcs know how to do it food.)5.The river could lead to some where better6.could be a good escape route.I do agree on exploring it first though.
Homes and fortifications win.Do you actually want to dig down into the underground? It will result in you digging down into the underground river and caverns surrounding it, which would give you a lot of free space, but... well, that's IF you want to dig down into the underground river and caverns surrounding it.>Dig underground>Stick to the surface
>>39669926We're orcs not goblins or dwarves we don't burrow, we sprawl. On the topic of underground construction though let's try N find/redirect one of those underground rivers for while we're still here, this place can eventually serve some purpose in our future orcish kingdom
>>39669951>Stick to the surface
>>39669951>Dig undergroundcan we explore it first?
>>39669951>Dig undergroundThe space will be nice, we need the water, and better we know what's down there than have a pack of gaunts crawl out of the ground in the middle of the camp, or have Slaagyr poison the river somewhere upstream.
>>39669926I find it unlikely that orcs would be willing to switch to an underground life style, they're not dwarves or whatever likes that shit, plus carving out an area fit for our numbers would take a long ass time.Depends on the kind of spying, assuming Slaggyr has been doing magical dickery or the Goats, it wouldn't help much.I don't think it bothers us much. We've already worked out a well/are building a well system.Or somewhere worse, underground rivers aren't known of leading to surface paradises.Where to, that's right no idea and depends on the previous one.>>39669951>Stick to the surfaceJust like a 5m deep place for prisoners or something? Though that'd get hard to clean I suppose, so maybe we should forget about that idea. Just some stone structure to serve as a prison, then?
>>39669951>Dig undergroundLet's unearth some ungodly monstrosity and then teach it to fetch.
>>39669968True you got me there.>>39670007You do know we found orcs living inside caves before right?>>39669951How about just exploring it first?
>>39669951Okay, to clarify, are we talking hobbit-hole type digging, here? I was kind of picturing making a kind of roundish gorge down to where the water is, open to the air at the top and with storage chambers and cells opening off of it. More useable space, but not just moving the clan underground.
>>39670027I think the underground river exploration would need to be done actively, not just skipped over, anon.>>39669951>>Stick to the surface
>>39669951>Dig undergroundWould we have anyone who knows how to grow mushrooms or the like? Or we could try to set up an irrigation system with the ogres help
>>39670043Your clan will not move entirely underground without a very good reason, so it would be more like some storage spaces/ cells and fallback positions and a route down to the underground river rather than living quarters.
>>39670077I can't remember how big is the river, big enough for escape boats?>>39669951>>Dig underground
Alright, looks like you're breaking into the caverns and river. I did note the requests to scout it first, so don't worry.Right then, next on the agenda. Squad formations? Right now your clan lacks the discipline for anything really organized, especially since you lack much in the way of uniform arms and armor, but you could certainly start dividing the clan up into smaller units with bosses who could report to your lieutenants. If you wish?>Yes>NoIf you have anything further you want to add about ideas for how to organize them, now's the time to say so.>>39670116>I can't remember how big is the river, big enough for escape boats?Perhaps for small ones, though you don't know whether the river has enough space above the water level the whole way along to make it anywhere useful. Also you have no-one in your clan who knows anything about boat building, so that could be a problem.
>>39670175we following the American Military ranks?
>>39670202Not really, right now the ranks goes something like this:UrUr's LieutenantsEvery other orcIf you go through with this it will beUrUr's LieutenantsUnit/Pack BossesEvery other orc, divided into units/packs
>>39670175>NoJust get some unified training down, maybe just have some bigger divides not necessarily squads.I feel like too much organization right now would be unnatural, especially since we don't even have a Zol'gor Tor priest or anything.Like, quarter up the forces or something.>>39670202Why the fuck would we? Orcs are tribal right now, plus Lordy is British.Just have warlord-lieutenants-commanders-squad leaders for now.
>>39670175>yes maybe a 8-10 orc squad + 1 boss
>>39670266Holy shit no, that's way too fucking small.
>>39670276thats pack size, easy for guerilla forces(witch we are with ~160 troops) and makes sure that they dont lose their heads if the boss of +30 orcs dies and they dont know who is next in charge
>>39670370Orcs generally aren't retarded enough to lose all sense of reason if a leader dies, the more fit one still alive will just take over. And I'm pretty sure we have around 250 orcs.
Units wins.Anyone have any preferences on size if I already count >>39670266 as one vote?
>>39670430I'd prefer whatever Ku'zag suggests, but personally think like 30 to 50 in a squad is a good idea for now.
>>39670430do what you think works
>>39670442nigga what that kind of numbers is not a squad
>>39670467>implying I know or care about American military terminologyOrcs aren't set to make SQUADS, we just decided to make some units, doesn't matter what we call them.
>>39670430How many orcs do we have?
>>39670430My vote is 15 orcs per pack. With the max being 36.(i'm basing this off of wolf packs though)
>>39670501implying I was talking about US military terms in no military could that be called a squad what I was getting out is if we went with your numbers we could have like 4 groups max
>>396704308-10 sounds good.lets them really know their teams. And make it random, so everyone works with if possible at least 1-2 from each clan.So we're more unified and not teams of 5 teams x from x clan. Will get some getting accustomed to be with these next coming months would be wise for everyone to get buddy buddy with everyone at camp.
>>39670554>>39670527with 15 per group.15 groups with the last 2 being bigger than the others.
>>39670557While integration is definitely a priority, it might be useful to have a couple dedicated packs of sneaky-sneaky types, which I can only image being predominantly composed of former Goatfoots.
>>39670541>implying I know anything about anglo-saxon military terms in generalNigga what the fuck is even a squad, how should I know that has an upper number limit.>>39670557Still too small for me, and it's not a good idea to mesh everyone together, especially at random, since we have two war gods and most orcs would lean to either one or the other, having a specialized unit or two could be beneficial.I assume someone like Or'kug, Ku'zag, or Za'ria would know about tactical shit, so let's hear what our more experienced people say.
>>39670430then 15-10 should be good. Not all the orcs are going to be mobilized at once
>>39670586I meant to say 16 groups with the last two having 20 instead of 15 or 17 groups with the last being 10 orcs.
Okay. Let's put it to a final destination vote.>8-10>15-30>30-50
>>39670624>15-30can it be 15-20 or 10-15?
>>39670624>>15-30>>3967065015-30 is fine, anon, don't need them all to have the same number, some orcs will work better in a smaller unit, some in a larger, and some will complement each other in certain ways that make a given group size more ideal.
8-10 wins, it seems, since this is a final destination vote and most of the 15-30 ones aren't done right.Writing.
>>39670602I do agree. But integration at this point should be more important. And during these couple of months, team work and learning from each other would be important. But its clear cut that for specific teams Skill>integration no questions asked. I agree.>>39670624>8-10Would be fine.Once we start raiding we send out teams of 30-50, and we clean up the wastes while searching for crypts for weapons and armors. Also increasing our blacksmiths, so we may need to send a "search" party to the mines. 50+ to make sure we can hold and start mining and crafting shity weapons till our blacksmiths get good.
>>39670722Oh god damn it, I forgot it was final destination.FUCKCan't we just have you or one of our lieutenants decide what works best, since that got a lot of suggestions before the FD?
>>39670722FUCKI hadn't realized quoting text itself would make my vote not count
>>39670777>I forgot it was final destination. How the hell someone forget when it's clearly said?>Okay. Let's put it to a final destination vote.
>>39670809he's only blaming himself. He made a mistake.
>>39670777>I'm so seeing Ur going "how do you want a group of 15-30 orcs following orders when my lieutenants can't follow MY orders" at that moment.
>>39670828>>39670809>>39670805live and learn.>>39670722Will this division and organization come with actual combat training?Cause that's something we should probably do, make sure that all of our warriors are excellent fighters. That goes for Ur too.
>>39671090I thought that was why we were doing this in the first place, to please Zol'gor Tor with martial discipline eventually.
>>39671090Seconding this idea. Maybe have a rotation based upon squad. every squad trains together, rotating off each day of the week. maybe have all of the squads under a lieutenant train together under their lieutenant together.
>>39670722So who won the competitive fucking competition?
>>39671111There's a difference between having military discipline and being strong fighters.I mainly say this because we are rather low on number compared to most of our enemies and i dont see very many other orcs around. Gotta gt the most bang for your buck.
>>39671156It's still on-going?
>>39671171I'm pretty sure being strong fighters is a natural aim for orcs, anon, we aren't running the risk of orcs not wanting to become better combatants and instead taking up knitting in masses.
>>39670722Will we be scouting the area beyond the toungeripper territory? The Deep Wastes?Probably wanna send 3-4 squads on that. Led by the sneaky exchief whose name i cannot remember.
When we go to sleep if its like like time, who do you guys want to dedicate the battle to? Also for Urshal I think it'd be wise to have him learn elven/human/if anything else we know at the camp.considering we have the giant, elven and a human. We should have ample people to teach us in private. But what would you guys want Ur'shal to focus on? Melee?negotiations, seems smart for a leader. Or we could focus on other things while having advisers focus on negotiating and shit like that.
>>39671210Of course, but more training will always make a fighter stronger. Which is kind of important because the absolute fastest we can replace a downed warrior is 15 years.
>>39671156Lo'zol.>>39671211Yeah, going to be dividing things up a bit though. A full six month timeskip actually isn't feasible, so I'm going to have some smaller individual events happening during it to break it up.
>>39671219I'd say Ur focuses on leadership and melee combat.Maybe pick up a level one arcana at some point.
>>39671211I don't want to prod beyond our territory that we already have a hard time controlling right now, at most send a single unit to diplomance any orcs we could come across.>>39671219Why are you so fucking retarded? Though I guess that's to be expected of a namefag. You don't dedicate battle to gods after the fact, and you don't get to choose who you get a boon from, and it doesn't happen in dreams usually. The gods decide if we've done well enough to deserve a boon, and if we're ready for one, and if we are, then we get it, that's it.Ur already speaks pretty good Human and is learning Elven right now, you absolute moron. It has been suggested at the start of the thread to learn more languages, you faggot.Command/Melee/Negotiation/Divine/Arcane/Ranged/Lewd is the way to go.
>>39669075Can we diplomacy at the Harpies? We have spare males we could offer and they can fly and shit.Would be useful in the mountanis.
>>39671328I'd rather just enslave them.
So once we build up our strength do you guys wanna move South or North?
The next few weeks pass by relatively uneventfully, your clan mostly dividing their attention up between clearing out the gaunts, hunting the scarce game of the wastes, and ensuring that you have enough warriors guarding the camp that Slaagyr can't catch your clan unaware. When the next full moon comes, the coven once again carries out their ritual, sacrificing another of the dwindling supply of captives you have to their ogre god. The boost in power allows them to make great strides in altering the shape of the camp, further enhancing the fortifications and building in structures to house your clan from the rock itself. Even with the full moon, the alterations are still not complete, though the coven have ensured to rip open a tunnel down to the caverns and river, to allow you to scout out the unexplored subterranean region. In the meantime, you have your lieutenants divide the clan up into smaller packs of 8-10 with a leader chosen for each. You made sure that the lieutenants, especially Or'kug and Ya'zada, knew that the packs were to be a mix of all the former clans, and that they should all keep an eye on the new packs to make sure they learned to work together. You would be lying if you said it was a smooth transition, there have been many fights and more than a few serious injuries, though thankfully as of yet your lieutenants have broken it turned fatal.Slaagyr has been surprisingly quiet, though as Ku'zag told you, dragons plan very slowly, and honestly, you're starting to suspect that Slaagyr might be a bit of a coward, making him slower still to make bold moves.(cont)
>>39671388The weather has turned hotter lately, and you awaken sticky from sweat, not to mention the aftermath of last night's exertions. K'zala is curled up by your side, now sporting a noticeable bump, and it seems that both Sho'ka and Aleida are following suit, having just started to show around a week ago.Rising slowly, you stretch, looking around. You still aren't really used to this whole stone building thing, and you know that some of the clan have taken to sleeping around the huts (or on top of them) rather than in them. Ashuris has been hard at work near non-stop, and it's made her a little irritable, and you had to break up a potentially unpleasant situation when Za'ria made an offhand comment about how 'giantish' the architecture looked.“Ur, you awake?” a voice calls from outside. You give an affirmative grunt, sitting up and pulling on your clothes and armour, stepping outside to meet Zo'rok, your lieutenant leaning against the outside wall of the structure watching an argument between a couple of members of one of your new packs.“So I've got bad news and I've got worse news, want to talk inside?”>Talk inside your hut>Talk here>Talk in the meeting hut

>>39671591No you dense asshole, it was a special occasion because it was Ur's very first divine boon.I suspect you don't even read the threads.
>>39671581see>>39671582and the Dragon sisters are the oldest dragons we know of. and i meant defeat more than kill. which we'll have to do to fuck them. Also how in the fuck would you want us to defeat 2 dragons at the same time? We dont even know how to handle one.

>>39671660you want to horde all the dragon pussy?
>>39671652This is why you should have just stayed with tents. The huts are obviously too hot as well.I knew it was a bad idea~
>>39671639Not unless they do something fucking amazing. Like save our life against it or nearly solo it.Otherwise those half dragons will be our kids.I still support raising any and all half dragons we have as closer to us than normal whelps. a little time and they'll be beasts in combat.
>>39671672YupIf they want dragon pussy, they can go and get one on their ownThe ones we get will be ours and ours only
>>39671672>>39671660was on auto posting.Meant to say that having alot of female dragons in one harem can be bad, and that it can be perceived as hoarding the good shit from the clan.>>39671677I'm talking about future female dragons, right now we know of 3 and there is more to the south.honestly i can't see us getting more than 2 female dragons, and figured the rest can go to our high ranking males.
>>39671677If we have any male half dragon kids we need to get one of them to knock up Ashuris and maybe Lok'sai.
>>39671619>it was a special occasion because it was Ur's very first divine boonWhen was this said?i just went through the entire askNothing about it being a special occasionat this point you're just being an ass spouting shit randomly with no proof
You gesture for Zo'rok to follow, stepping back inside your hut. You sit down on a high backed stone chair Ashuris shaped inside your tent, which you have slung some furs over, Zo'rok taking a seat on one of the smaller ones nearby. Most of your harem are still asleep, worn out from last night. You see Inka stir, shifting a little where she lies half-slumped over her bound sister, Inka is still wearing her recent perpetual pout even in her sleep. You can only hope that she starts to show signs of a litter of her own soon so she'll stop moping.“So bad news or worse news first?” Zo'rok sighs, scratching his chin.>Bad news>Worse news
>>39671672this is some you have to earn like beating the dragon themselves
>>39671723>>Worse newsand bad news right after.
Guys, a few things :How about we give the squad leaders banners? These banners would serve as a commendation for bravery and it would help us organize forces in the midst of a battle.Another thing is : what about the spies in our clan?
>>39671710>honestly i can't see us getting more than 2 female dragons, that is where you're wrong.and we know of 4 dragons total, Fire dragon in the south, Slaggyr, and the draco sisters but theyre pretty far north and really not worth the trouble.>>39671721Warlord confirmed it.And no you didn't just go through the entire ask because that'd take hours.
>>39671723>Worse newslets end on a higher note.
>>39671749fuck off with trying to over complicate this shit.
>>39671764> i can't see us getting more than 2 female dragons,Doesn't say anything about the THREE female dragons that we know of.
>>39671675They'll for now, and we'll be moving on soon enough, And let's see Slaagyr try to set our camp on fire a second time.Still, though, yurts. We should get some yurts. We'd need more reliable access to wood to produce the collapsible lattice and the beams for a large number of them, but we have everything else we need, and as we're now living in huts and keeping prisoners in cells, we've freed up a lot of the timber we were previously using, which I imagine was mostly in the form of poles anyway.
>>39671710There's nothing wrong with "hoarding the good shit" when we're the ones who get it.It's expected of the chief/warlord to take the very best of the best slaves, and dragons qualify for that. The only problem would be if we didn't let others have ANY slaves or orcs. It's totally fine to own all the dragon pussy.>>39671716Anon, no.>>39671723>>>Bad newsLet's do things dramatically appropriately.>>39671749No
>>39671749Maybe not banners but definietly names and maybe let them pick their symbols sometime down the road. Little too early for that. Let the prove them selves and bond in combat before then. And eventually we will have to find a way to give our commands int he midst of a massive battle. But we don't have enough orcs to need to worry about that yet.
>>39671785Anon, you do realize Slaggyr is an Earth dragon, right? Do you actually think he couldn't take care of some silly stone structures if he wanted to?I'm 80% sure our tents were already pretty much what you're asking for, which is that they be easily transportable.
>>39671811>commands in the middle of battleI actually really liked the orcish semaphore from the most recent Hobbit movie. It was easily one of the neatest parts of that slog.
>>39671764It's called ctrl + F you idiot. And while we it doesn't say we can't choose. If we do get another dream this one won't be a choice right? Since the first one was special because it was our first time. More like a cinematic? Perhaps, not every boon will be accompanied by a dream. You're one giant faggot. It doesn't actively say we can't choose which god we had in mind during the fightStop being a giant faggot. If you don't like namefags w.e they're name fags no one cares. That doesn't mean spout shit out of your mouth like a sprinklerBut being aggressive/cursing while you sound like a complete dick head makes you seems like a giant colossal faggot
>>39671798>Anon, no.Why not? Why wouldn't you want a half orc 1/4 dragon 1/4 ogre ?Gotta put the males to good use. >>39671820Slaggyr won't be leavingthe mountains to come attack us personally, at least not yet, we're still kinda small compared to him.
>>39671844I'm not even the same anon you fuck wit. I was just correcting you because Warlord confirmed that it was a one time thing.
>>39671850Doing with ashuris would get a half ogre, 1/4 dragon, 1/4 orc. Its not even mostly orc.

>>39671889oops my bad, But still, we treat mix breeds like orcs due to the dominance of orcish blood. and that thing would be a beast.>>39671900So you're proving my point?
>>39671820Earthquake, sure, but he'd have to show up personally for that. Last time our shit nearly burned down just because his minions were hurling torches. As for the tents, their chief virtue is that they're portable, and on a hunting party I'd take a tent over a yurt every time. But for a semi-permanent camp, yurts are way more comfortable in a broader range of climates, and you can make them big without sacrificing ease of takedown and transport. Kind of like a primitive bullet-trailer-- more mobile proto-house than camping out.
>>39671850Because your slaves are your slaves.Who says Ash would even want to carry the whelps of someone who isn't Ur'shal?
>>39671900Do you know English? Do you have Parkinsons? Cause I can't think of any other reason for you not being able to type like a normal human being.
>>39671921Well she is a slave so it doesn't matter what she wants. And it'd be for the clan
>>39671897when did I say we don't get boons with out a dream?please quote me you fuckwit.>>39671881Get me proof of this you fuck wit. Because clearly he has said otherwise in the past.>>39671940Good retort, to a shity idea with no proof.I am not even saying it's impossible for what you said to be true. I am just asking for proof because, you've shown me non. While I have shown you proof of the opposite of what you tried to pull from your ass.
>>39671920When we leave we're probably either gonna leave the thing here or destroy it. It's all made of stone so transporting it really isn't an option.
Lordy, please end this ridiculous argument and confirm that Ur'shal doesn't get to choose which god he gets a blessing from just like that.
>>39671723The dream sequence from our first boon was a special occasion right? the gods letting us know that they're starting to show interest again?>>39671976He said it in a thread and i'm not about to go digging through 35+ threads just to find one question he answered cause you're to stupid to believe the half a dozen anons who told you otherwise.
>>39671981The huts we have now are stone, yes. I think it even just grows out of the ground, since our greased magicked them up. That's why I want portable structures that are NOT made of stone, but which, while portable, still provide many of the benefits of a permanent house.
“Worse news,” you grunt, leaning back I your seat.“Spoke to Ku'zag, him and the other spellcasters finished checking out the clan for magic, so he reckons he's got a pretty good idea who's been spying on us for Slaagyr now.”“Who?”Zo'rok frowns, drumming his fingers on his jaw.“Fourty three orcs showed signs of Slaagyr's magic, all former Rockbrutes and Skyhunters. Including Koz'rak.”You growl, your hand clenching into a fist.“Koz'rak has been working for Slaagyr?”Zo'rok puts his hands up, shaking his head.“Relax, Ku'zag doesn't think any of them even know they're spying. You'd have to hear the finer details from him, but he said it's more like Slaagyr being able to look through their eyes, he reckons the dragon probably set it up in preparation for his plan to take control of both clans. Problem is, none of our spellcasters reckon they can actually break the magic, at least not without causing some serious sensory damage, that fucking lizard wove it into them pretty hard. We leave it there though, and Slaagyr's going to know everything we do or say around any of the orcs he can tap into.”“Nothing's ever simple, huh, Zo,” you sigh.Your friend shrugs, giving a lopsided grin. “Something's got to balance out those chieftain perks,” he chuckles, gesturing to your sleeping harem.“So any ideas how to handle this?”>Write-in>>39672049Yeah, you won't get a dream sequence every time.Rest assured the rewards are coming for your battle with the Tonguerippers, indeed some of them might already be underway.
>>39672066That's kinda complex anon.
>>39672076Send them for "scouting", arrange an ambush and kill them to the last. Blame the dragon.
>>39672076Fuck it, take the sensory damage. Get that magic the hell away from us
>>39672076Send all infected orcs south or west to set up a temporary encampment. Maybe have them make one somewhat close to the edge of the jungle and do some raiding and scouting and send back some shit up north.Actually probably wanna do both.
>>39672076>Give me the bad news first>We'll discuss further once I've spoken with Ku'zag about it
>>39672112dude that is like 1/5 of our numbers>>39672130this is a good idea
>>39672113>>39672112Fuck no. Send them away from the camp sure but let's not permanently damage our limited number of warriors.>>39672076>>39672132This
>>39672130This seems reasonable.
>>39672132>>39672130>>39672076These, consult further but unless other major options come to light send them south or west.
>>39672132this first, then will think about it
>>39672154Yes, lets have Slaggyr's spies apart from us while Slaggyr knows that, sure not gonna lose those 43 guys then! Smart one!Sensory damage is probably something we have to roll for, lets hope we roll well
>>39672076Hmm, I guess we could just leave them out of tactical discussions and send them on missions not related to Slaggyr and make them do mundane tasks. But first I want to hear the Bad News.
>>39672197They're not his spies you retard. He can't control them, he can just look through their eyes and hear through their ears.and if they're to the south raiding they're useless to him. And he's not gonna be able to send a raiding party through months of the wastes without our knowledge to ambush them.
Would talking to, insulting, and telling Slaggyr to go stick his cowardly throne up his ass through proxy of his spies be too stupid a move?
>>39672132This.We might think about sending them away as a group while keep 2-3 of them at the base doing certain things. While having everyone that is able to look into solving this problem. trying to be subtle as fuck so as to not let the dragon know what we're doing.Or confront them, and if they have no idea. keep them secluded while our people that are able to do something about it work on the problem together till they solve it, with out causing any damage.
>>39672273There's no guarantee he'll be watching when we say it.
>>39672132This sounds like a good idea
hold on, If we cant break the magic spell, can we at least nullify one portion of it or something? e.g. sound. Then we could tell the affected orcs what is happening and therefore explain why we chose them.
>>39672076we could use this. How about we arrange a few fake meetings to feed the ones enchanted false information? It would, however require to keep these orcs disinformed
>>39672358We could always just tell them anyway. Not like him knowing we know will hurt us or help him in any way.
>>39672076Use them to bait a trap to kill him.
>>39672407True that, Anon.
>>39672382>>39672358Maybe research a way to temporarily break the spell so we can talk to them and then feed them false info afterwards.
It all depends on how the magic itself works.Does it transfer info, or actual sights and sounds? For instance, I doubt Slaggyr speaks/reads Orcish.
Looks like the two major options so far are A. Send them South (or West) for raidingB. Bait a trap. (how?)I just dont know if we're ready to take Slaggyr on yet.
>>39672407Well, it would prompt him to try establish more spying attempts/methods.Right now we have an excellent opportunity to influence this dragon.>>39672448I was thinking something That muffled or suppressed the magic while inside it or something. Hell, a spell that lets us know when the dragon is using this magic, e.g. the meeting room, would be beneficial.
>>39672481We aren't.Unless we scout further into the wastes for more orc clans, e.g. tongue ripper survivors. But that will have to wait for the Gaunt clean up to finish.
>>39672481I have no idea why anons think Slaggyr would personally come down because of some hypothetical false info we feed to him.I think what we need to take Slaggyr is more magic. The lamia cult that splintered off might be good, so we get mages but aren't messing with the Fire Dragoness.
>>39672548Good call, a raid against them would be a nice move when we decide to raid again. Need to make sure that the were-elves don't hit us though. Maybe release the drugged up were-elf on the opposite side of the jungle after feeding it bad info? e.g. Rape and brag kind of deal.
“Give me the bad news, I want to talk to Ku'zag personally before I make a decision on this,” you grunt.“Right, bad news. Or'kaz went missing last night.”“I thought Ku'zag said he was fine.”Zo'rok shrugs.“Ku'zag said it wasn't abyssal infection or slaagyr's magic messing with him, but he still wasn't sure exactly what it was. He said he didn't think it was anything dangerous though.”“So where'd he go?” you sigh, propping yourself up with a fist under your jaw.“Left the camp sometime last night, a bit before the sun came up, told his slave woman he had things to do. Tracks go south-west, but we haven't followed them far yet, figured we'd better put together a larger group with all the Gaunts out west. You want me to take a pack and handle it?”>I'll lead the pack>Yeah, handle it>No, (write-in) can lead the pack>Forget him
>>39672548Maybe. All i know is that we need to Scout West, Scout South, post some sentries North, and continue to build our forces. The only targets we can currently take on are to the south so raiding there will probably be a good start. and we might wanna start with the skinchangers and the elder serpent just so that the elves dont send for an army from the south before we wipe them out.though I think I remember it being said that it would be very unlikely for them to do so.
>>39672654>>Yeah, handle it
>>39672654>I'll lead the pack
>>39672654>>Yeah, handle itWe can trust him with this, it's his specialty.
>>39672654>>>I'll lead the packTalk to Ku'zag once we come back with info about Or'kaz too.>>39672671The skinchangers aren't exactly allied with the elves, they run a protection racket. And it was said any request for help would probably get caught up in bureaucracy for at least a century.>>39672697I'm interested in what's happening though.
>>39672654>Yeah, handle it
>>39672716>The skinchangers aren't exactly allied with the elves, they run a protection racket. That's why taking care of the skinchangers and others first would keep the elves from being put seriously on the defensive. Especially since the elves are probably all allied and if they banded together they might be able to do some damage>And it was said any request for help would probably get caught up in bureaucracy for at least a century.ok good, I still support waiting a bit and then taking as many elven settlements at once as possible though..
>>39672654Maybe he had a vision?
>>39672654Tell him to handle it but don't tell him to kill him, just to investigate what he's doing. Bring him back if he seems untrustworthy.Leave the decision up to Zor'ok. We gotta start trusting our Lieutenants to make decisions.
>>39672798Probably better to focus on making sure what settlements we do grab don't send out escapee's. Since elves are naturally long lived then they might not communicate for large periods of time comparatively, and all the delay we can buy will be important since i doubt they will be half arsed when dealing with us when they get round to it.
Okay, Zo'rok handling it wins.So...>Be Zo'rok, handling it>Remain as Ur'shal
>>39672893Can't we do one after the other?
>>39672893>Be Zo'rok, handling it
>>39672893>>Remain as Ur'shal
>>39672857I think it was mentioned that the southern elven countries are large enough (tens of thousands) that they dont consider us a threat and they have no real affiliation with these northern towns. Also there's no way we'll be able keep all the elves from escaping, they're jungle elves in their home jungle and we're orcs. Just not gonna happen.>>39672842>>39672893Can we do this too?
>>39672907Well yeah, it's more about whether you want to do this mission or just leave it up to a diceroll.
>>39672893>Remain as Ur'shal

I had an about the infected orcs. We could tattoo every one of them and make sure its visible, so that we can tell which level of clearance to give them, then set them up in a seperate encampment
>>39672893>>Be Zo'rok, handling itWe'll do Ur'shal's PoV during the Zo'rok mission afterwards.
>>39673132Yes, cause the solution to our problem is concentration camps and force them to wear identification.
>>39673132That is a terrible idea. Better idea; kill the dragon.
>>39673132why bother with the tattoos?
>>39673166Something we're not quite capable of yet. That anons idea is kinda shitty though.
>>39673161better that then killing them. At the very least they should have identifying markers, and sending them raiding south is sort of making an encampment anyway. Thst and full disclosure to them why we're xoing this and the promise of future concessions
>>39673241If we send them south why would they need the tattoos?
>>39673166we aren't in a position to kill the dragon and if we don't do something with them even if we planned a raid against them sensitive information would be leaked. And sending them raiding without telling them what's going may rise suspension with them
at least it's not all of the rockbrutes and the skyhunters.Looks to be about half of each clan was infected.

>>39673320We're Orcs. We're the Chief. They'll do what they're told. Especially since they get to raid more than anyone else. Shit's like a vacation for them.We should also speak to Ku'zag about getting a message to Koz'rak without Slaggyr hearing it.
>>39673335not slaagyr, them, the compromised orcs. "Why all these tribesmen and not others?" and pushing their shit in about it could cause dissension

>>39673495So what are we gonna make the 40+ orcs to do?
“You handle it,” you grunt.“Right, I'll go now, before the trail gets any colder,” Zo'rok grins, pushing off from the chair.“...and Zo'rok. Just investigate what he's doing, bring him back if it's something untrustworthy, otherwise just watch him, there's too much about this that doesn't make sense.”“Yeah, no problem Ur. I won't do anything crazy,” Zo'rok grins, turning and striding out of the hut.You hear a yawn from behind you, Aleida stirring, picking herself up slowly. She glances around at the sprawled mess of your harem, a hand idly resting on the slight bump in her belly.“Good morning chieftain,” she smiles, stretching. Aleida was always a well-behaved slave, but since it became apparent that she was carrying your whelps, if anything she seems even more content in her role in your harem. You grunt in response, sitting and pondering the problems Zo'rok dumped on you so early in the morning. Aleida brings you over some dried meat and water, which you gulp down in short order, enjoying the view of Aleida's pale, naked body, especially the way in which her burgeoning pregnancy has swollen her already impressive breasts. When you finish your meal, you contemplate your next move.>Go talk to Ku'zag right away>Arrange to send Koz'rak and the other compromised orcs south on a mission>Gather some orcs to go investigate the caverns and river>Have one of your lieutenants gather some orcs to go investigate the caverns and river

The Skinchangers refused to even step foot outside the jungle. and the jungle is a big place and the skinchangers dont roam all of it.They'll also ask for help if they run into any problems. Just tell them to be careful and keep an eye out.
PLEASE DO REMEMBER;We have to kill things and be orcish to win favor, not just manage the settlement.
>>39674018We can lead the expedition into the caverns
>>39674018But its rather unorcy to be assassinated because we didn't get on top of security threats when we had the chance.
You rise from your seat, leaving Aleida to deal with the rest of your harem as they awaken. You head out across the camp, a mess of stone structures, some still-half shaped, and tents stuffed between them. It makes it more than a little frustrating getting around sometimes, but a lot of your clan still aren't comfortable being cooped up inside stone buildings.Eventually you make it to Ku'zag's tent, the old shaman having complained profusely that he had all of his things just where he wanted them, and moving them inside a stone hut would be too much effort for an orc of his age.“Ku'zag, you awake?” you ask from outside, hearing a croaky grunt a few moments later. You step inside, once again assaulted by the familiar smell of strange herbs and other, less identifiable things. Ku'zag sits in his usual spot, mashing up stingworm pulp in a bowl.“So Zo'rok told you then?” he grunts, as you sit down opposite him.“He did, he said Ku'zag and around fourty others were being used by Slaagyr to spy on us without them knowing.”“It's some sort of mixture of a curse and a divination spell, not something I've come across before, but dragons, even young ones, tend to learn all kinds of strange old magic somehow. We could probably dispel it, but countermagic is not my area, nor is it the area of any of your other spellcasters, so it would be clumsy. At best, it leaves them with a ringing in their ears and some blurry vision for a few weeks.”“and at worse?”“You have forty-three blind, deaf orcs who will never recover without powerful healing magic,” he grunts.“So how does this spell work? How much will he know?”(cont)
>>39674261“Hard to say, I doubt he's spying all the time, we can gather that much from Koz'rak leading the raid on that tribe and capturing that girl in your harem. Slaagyr didn't react to that at all, which makes me think by the time he found out about it, Koz'rak and his pack were already long gone from the mountains with their loot.”You frown, nodding.“So is there some way to improve our odds of taking the spell off them?”“Not really, short of finding someone who's good with countermagic, or better than the dragon at curses. When Slaagyr dies it should fade away on its own though,” Ku'zag grunts.Well Ur, what now?>Kill them>Imprison them>Send them South to raid into the jungle>Send them West to scout out the deep wastes>Nothing for now

>>39674391The Deep Eases are the areas beyond what the Tonguerippers controlled, anon, and probably has orc tribes in it we didn't even know of.
>>39674289I best our captive witch could do something about that though.
>>39674289>Send them South to raid into the jungle
>>39674289>Send them West to scout out the deep wastes. It's close to Slaggyr, so what we see out there he could use, but keeps him for seeing the jungle which could be a falling back point for us.
>>39674289>>Send them South to raid into the junglealso has the male elf mage identified all the magic items we found, those might help, plus the magic lockbox needs to be opened
Well we're sending them to the jungle then. Be on lookout for shapeshifters and the serpent, and we can get some substance hunting done. They cant be ones used for the Harpy negotiations, the less Slaggyr knows the better
>>39674289>Send them South to raid into the jungleLet them hit an small elven settlement
>>39674585We're not negotiating with harpies. We're enslaving them.
How many are in that lamia splinter cult?
“I'll send them south, tell them I want them to spend some time raiding down there, nothing too serious, just grab some slaves and supplies, until we can figure out what to do about Slaagyr's curse.”Ku'zag nods, scooping up a handful of dried lichen and grinding it into the mush in the bowl.“The shapeshifters won't like it, make sure the whelps know not to mess about too much. Also, chieftain, if you want my advice, send some other orcs down too, not rockbrutes or skyhunters.”“We don't have many warriors to spare as it is,” you grunt, eyeing the foul-smelling mixture.“True, but your clanmates aren't stupid. If you don't tell them why, and you send nothing but Rockbrutes and Skyhunters down, especially after dividing them up into packs without former clan links, they'll notice. Might start wondering why.”>I'll send other orcs down with them>We don't have the warriors to spare
>>39674704>>I'll send other orcs down with themThings are calm for now
>>39674702You haven't checked it out yet.>>39674558The box is open, you haven't had a chance to look at the contents yet though.
>>39674704>I'll send other orcs down with them
>>39674704>I'll send other orcs down with themUnity needs to be upheld, splitting now will bite us in the ass hard.
>>39674704>>I'll send other orcs down with them
>>39674704>>I'll send other orcs down with themShould allow them to take that lamia splinter cult.Maybe they'll have someone who knows some countermagic.>>39674729Can we look through all of our valueable loot this thread? Like dra'kozs chest and the stuff from the settlement we raided?
>>39674671There's No downside to keeping a nest or two of these colorful toucan harpies on their own as allies. We can even speak of any rivals they have and enslave them instead. Boom, respect gained by our new allies. They could even use the elves better than we could since Harpy gestation is Set as a harpy instead of an Elf Harpy. Elf Orcs take a very long time to birth because elves has a long pregnancy, Harpys dont.
>>39674781>Can we look through all of our valueable loot this thread? Like dra'kozs chest and the stuff from the settlement we raided?I don't think I'm going to be running much longer tonight I'm afraid, kind of falling asleep. I'll put together a list for it for next time though.
>>39674793We're going to enslave them anon. we can fuck them as much as we want or make them breed with eachother or use them however we want. Even raise the young to be loyal to us. But leaving them separate from us is asking to get fucked.Remember what happened with the Goblins and all the other former orcish allies? they turned on them the moment shit got bad.
>>39674704Why not send half south and half west with some non-spy Orcs to bolster the ranks?30 Orcs each way, 20 spies in each and 10 normies.
>>39674898Perhaps, do people want to do this?>Yes>No
>>3967489830 orcs ain't enough to do shit. Not any raiding anyway.
>>39674890We had Shit allies. Goblins are by design backstabbing little monsters, and the Slaugh are chaotic little fluffy tails.Harpys at least have their shit together.
>>39674922>No>>39674926Harpies don't even have buildings. Theyre closer to animals than any other race we've met so far.
>>39674971So we get them to join up as a "tribe" or some shit. Boom we have a wider pool of magic/flying ppl that reproduce
>>39674971How does that measure up to the orcs living in tents and the wastes? Matter of fact, You dont know what harpy culture in Warlords setting is man.
>>39674922Its a terrible idea but whatever
>>39674922>noHow're we gonna raid with 30 orcs?
>>39675002So they join us or we enslave them.>>39675029We know that orcs had a kingdom, smiths, industries, tacticians, etc, etcAll we know of harpies is that they live in mountains and sing a lot. and kidnap other males
>>39674922Fuck no, 30 orcs will get ass raped by both the Deep wastes and the Skinchangers. Hell even the trogladytes could do some damage.
Okay, sending all the cursed orcs plus some others south wins.Writing.
>>39675102Yes, and Ur'shal and Ku'zags knowledge has fallen short at times. We only know as much as they've learned for the most part. We dont know what the harpys are capable of.
“I'll send some more orcs down with them, make it a proper raiding force, keep them from getting suspicious,” you grunt.Ku'zag nods, the corner of his wrinkled mouth curling up into something resembling a smile.“Tired of politics yet, Ur'shal?”“I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the days when I could just solve all my problems by burying an axe in them,” you grin.“You ignore the politics and rely on your axe to solve all your problems, sooner or later someone better with their words stabs you in the back. You let your axe gather dust, turn into someone who's nothing but talk, then... well, at least it won't be in the back.”You nod, picking yourself up.“Good to know there's still some wisdom rattling around in that old head of yours, Ku'zag,” you snort.“You're a strong warrior, Ur, and smart. You have good lieutenants too, they respect you, and even if they all have their flaws, they're learning. It's not going to be easy, but you have the core of something glorious here. Just don't fuck it up, chieftain. At least not in my lifetime.” Ku'zag grunts, poking a bony finger into the bowl, tasting the foul mixture.“No matter how badly I fuck up I doubt I could ruin it that quickly,” you grin, earning a stare from the ancient shaman.“Last time I give you any good advice, you damned whelp, now get out of here, I have things to do.”You nod to Kuzag, turning and ducking under the tentflap as you step outside.>End of Thread
Falling asleep, so I'm calling it there. Next time you can go delving into the caverns. If anyone has any questions, I can stick around for a short Q&A.
>>39675581Thanks for the thread QM.
>>39675581What is Harpy culture?
>>39675676Each harpy tribe is an extended family under the control of the tribe's matriarch. While harpies do seem to be fairly intelligent, most likely every bit as intelligent as an orc, their culture is mainly based around music and hunting, they don't build anything apart from their nests, and any items they have on them are taken from those they rob, rape or kill. They have never advanced beyond a primitive tribal state because they see no purpose in doing so.
Warlord you're glorious and I love everything you do. Keep it up, also consider publishing some modules or something.
>>39675789Hmmm, an untapped market? Wonder what their magic potential is.
>>39675812>also consider publishing some modules or somethingTempting, might well do so someday, right now I have more than enough projects on the table though.>>39675900Harpies are a reasonably magical race, they aren't as talented as elves or sluagh, but they take to it easier than a lot of races do.
>>39675942Double good. We just need to civilize them some.
