You’ve probably seen it before on the news. Bear terrorizes neighborhood as it goes dumpster diving. Mountain lion mauls lone hiker. Raccoons are assholes. Simple truth of the matter is that modern society is encroaching on some of the last spaces left for wild animals, and as a result there’s some cohabitation going on all parties would rather avoid.Same holds true for werewolves. And vampires. And trolls. And fae. And every other magical motherfucker out there. Used to be Vlad could get some shut eye in his scenic Transerbian or whatever castle, only popping out to feed on the freshest nubile virgin the village over. Now, Americans in mobility scooters are cruising around his house and all the nubile virgins ain’t virgins and they carry mace. Vlad needed to adapt. And he adapted by integrating himself into the seedy underbelly of human society. Now he’s Don Dracula. Now Oni bounce for the yakuza. Now werewolves cook meth and ride bikes. It’s a shitshow. And I’m in the middle of said shitshow. I’m Jason Reinhardt, an enforcer for Limited Liability and a rune warrior. I make sure that all of those supernaturally empowered fuccbois stay in line and don’t mess with our territory. This is my story.EEQ Master Pastebin:http://pastebin.com/6QexDk3H
I exit the Lieutenant’s office, having failed to ask her out for drinks like Ma Reinhardt and a bunch of anonymous internet strangers playing a single character in a story written by a pandering fuckhead would have liked me to. I will, however, endure their disappointment for now for the sake of a normal working relationship with my boss. However, I have gotten several important tasks out of the way, including scoping out the Warehouse we’ll be attacking later (spoiler: it’s mostly empty), arranging a back up plan should things go awry, and calling my mother. This just leaves handling triage. Although I like dreaming big as much as the next guy, I can’t help but figure that even with my tactical genius there will probably be more than a few injuries on our side what with all the guns everyone is going to have. The sort of injuries a hospital might be forced to report to the police. And unfortunately, although I hold our resident probably unlicensed Doctor Cygne in very high regard for someone we’re borrowing from a brothel, I don’t think she’s got either the facilities or the number of extra hands required to handle anything more than a couple of injuries. Unfortunately I’m not entirely sure how to address this.Which is why I’m seeing the professional.
I walk up to the improvised clinic we have set up in the Office. It’s an unstated rule that whichever syndicate has control of a city takes on responsibility for providing emergency medical care for the local supernatural population. If they need something fancier like chemo or rocket surgery they can take their asses to the local EnRA branch. As the current gang in charge of Saintsburgh, Limited Liability is currently in charge of medical care in this fine city. The rest of our district offices in Saintsburgh offer such medical services, and in fact Lower East holds the questionable distinction of having the worst medical services of all the districts. That’s largely due to The Nursery, a combination brothel and medical clinic in our area, undercutting our business. We have an arrangement with the Nursery, which allows us to use their services for free or at a steep discount, so long as we respect their position as an independent entity. That usually means that we aren’t allowed to bring in members of LL injured during illegal activities. Which is more than slightly inconvenient at the best of times.I walk up to the clinic door and push it open, revealing a large room, walls still painted a soul draining corporate beige, metal shelves stacked high with medical equipment pressed against them, linoleum floor dotted with drains, cots and an operating table spaced around the room. Dr. Cygne is sitting on the operating table.A tall, slender woman, Dr. Cygne has blue eyes framed behind rectangular glasses. They’re usually narrowed in concentration, and now is no exception as she pours over some clipboard, her free hand fiddling around with a scalpel.>”Hey Doc, you gonna sterilize that thing before you use it right?”>”Doc, we got business to discuss. You up to speed on the TK15 situation?”>Cough politely. Best not to startle the good doctor while she’s armed.>write in

>>39550039>”Doc, we got business to discuss. You up to speed on the TK15 situation?”
I’ve seen what Dr. Cygne can do with a scalpel and it most definitely violates the Hippocratic Oath. I decide to not startle her and cough politely. The good Doctor’s head jerks up, eyes flashing dangerously before they settle into familiar recognition. “Oh, hello Enforcer. Just going over inventory,” she waves around the clipboard, which holds a surprisingly thick stack of paper. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”I clasp my hands behind my back and bounce a little on my feet. While I myself have enjoyed (well, more like endured considering how stingy she is with painkillers) Dr. Cygne’s tender ministrations on more than one occasion and have no doubt in her abilities, she’s still not part of the organization. I’d like to keep from spilling anything too revealing. “Doc, we got business to discuss. Are you up to speed on the TK15 situation?”Dr. Cygne purses her lips and puts the clipboard aside before standing up, brushing her hands on her long white lab coat. “Yes, the Lieutenant deigned to debrief me yesterday about… recent plans.”I nod, relieved. If LT decided to put her in the know, that makes my life a damn sight easier. “Well, then you know about the raid in a few days. There’s going to be about a dozen of us, myself included, participating. Let’s just cut to the chase, how many casualties can you handle?”
Dr. Cygne suckss in air between her teeth. “Yes, I was preparing for you to ask. I have a fair amount of medical supplies. Antibiotics, wound cleaners, bandages, all of the basics really are in good supply. What I lack is blood,” I raise an eyebrow inquisitively. Dr. Cygne rolls her eyes, “For transfusions, Enforcer. I don’t know where this notion that I’m a vampiress came about, but I assure you, it’s entirely unfounded.”I shrug semi-apologetically. Honestly, I don’t know what it is, but it seems like half of the doctors I’ve met in the supernatural world have been blood suckers. “Regardless, I sincerely doubt that I have enough blood on hand if any more than two, maybe three, of you come in with massive blood loss. And I definitely don’t have any ogre blood on hand.”I suppress a twinge of suspicion. Job like this, even if LT didn’t tell her, Cygne could probably figure out for herself that Brutus would be tagging along. “And outside of supplies, I’m certain I could employ some of you people to manage simple wounds, but if there’s any more than one injury that requires a defter touch… well I think the Lieutenant might have to make some hard choices.”I nod again. This is exactly what I was worried about. Cygne is perfectly competent, and most Associates could probably manage to hold a bandage on, but if we’ve got more than one person with a collapsed lung or bullet near the heart or lord knows what, well… she said it herself didn’t she? >”So, what do you suggest we do about that?”>”Actually, I’ve got an idea…”>>Write in your idea
>>39550641>”So, what do you suggest we do about that?”>"Is there anywhere we can get those supplies and expertise on short notice?"
>>39550641>>”So, what do you suggest we do about that?”Let the pro talk
>>39550641>>”So, what do you suggest we do about that?”
>>39550641>”So, what do you suggest we do about that?”
>>39550641Do you have an assistant that can do the quick assessment on patients coming in to determine priority? and the space necessary for a staging area?
>>39550641>”Actually, I’ve got an idea…”How long would it take you to get some blood from mandatory volunteers from LL employees that aren't participating in the raid?
>>39550928that's a good idea for the future going forward, have company people build up a stockpile of bloodtypes over time, tricky bit is getting enough gnome and ogre blood and any other unique types
>>39550959But considering the amount of blood drawing equipment needed and lack of trained personel, I'm worried this is going to take a long ass time.
Just keeping in mind that the definition of a Mass Casualty situation is anything that overwhelms available medical personnel or supplies which it does not seem like it would take much. Should have thought about negotiating for access to the ENRA medics they would have on hand for the raid if we could, just to stabilize and get over to a re-purposed triage area (like an unused warehouse) where we could have stored the Docs and her supplies without compromising her base of operations
>>39550996well maybe we can call EnRA up and see if they'll be prepared for such medical emergencies?
>>39550996It sounds pretty crazy to have that kind of medical treatment set up without, you know, just arresting them while they're being treated. Same goes for prodding patients for info, seeing as a lot of them will be drugged up on painkillers they need.
>>39551008Isn't it going down tomorrow though?>>39551073That is a good consideration hence why the negotiations would have been for just a team of medics to stabilize and drop of at the chopshop set up for the Doc instead of her office. Course we might not have had a strong position to negotiate from and regardless it is too late to be looking back at it. Just things to consider for the next raid especially considering LL seems to be set up as more "caring" than other gangs.
>>39551132>Isn't it going down tomorrow though?>>39550625>Well, then you know about the raid in a few daysit's still the same day as the last thread, so 2 days from now it's going down, and the earlier we call them to potentially organize medical facilities and care, the better it will be for when casualties start flowing, from our side and theirs
>>39551158Well damn, apparently my reading comprehension goes out the window without sleep, yeah calling them would not be a bad idea on this. Sets us up to look good to the Associates and we aren't losing resources to preventable causes. Honestly for a militant organization we should put more work into First Aid and triage
“So, what do you suggest we do about that?”“Well,” replies Dr. Cygne, leaning back against the operating table, “there’s the simple truth that our facilities are in no way equipped to deal with this sort of situation, and we certainly don’t have time to bring everything up to standard on our own. We need help, simply put.”It’s not a pleasant situation to be in, but the doctor’s right. We just don’t have the means to deal with this right now. I cross my arms, scowling. “Well, the other LL offices have much more… thorough? All encompassing? Shit, what’s the word… whatever. The other offices have facilities that could probably meet our needs.”“But those other LL clinics are quite far away, are they not,” asks Cygne, tilting her head. “I don’t know where your other offices are, but I imagine they aren’t terribly close by.”I shake my head. “Not very close at all, no,” I say, keeping to myself that revealing our own Office’s inability to conduct a major operation on it’s own would hurt LT’s standing in our organization, maybe even bring about a demotion. Fellow Associates they might be, and bound by the Oath they are, I still don’t trust many people in LL. “I don’t know if it’s practical to outsource injuries to other offices.”
Dr. Cygne nods once. “I suppose that EnRA would have very extensive medical facilities on hand, and most likely a way to move mass numbers of casualties there quickly to boot.”“Not good,” I reply, “EnRA would have facilities on hand for their own, but this isn’t an official joint operation. Even though they probably would treat wounded Associates, there’s no way in hell that they’re leaving that hospital. Better to just take them to a mundane one and risk the cops.”“Well then,” replies Dr. Cygne, gazing at me over her glasses. “I suppose there always is the Nursery.”My eyes narrow. Dr. Cygne might work in our office, but she works for Madame Doctor Cutter, matron of the Nursery. There’s a good chance Cygne isn’t just tossing that idea out there. “I thought Cutter didn’t want to deal with partisan casualties?”Dr. Cygne shrugs nonchalantly. “We could always try to ask nicely.”>”Alright, let’s see what Madame Doctor is willing to do for us.” [Meet with the Madame Doctor]>[Use normal hospitals, run risk of police attention]>[Use EnRA facilities, run risk of detainment]>[Use LL facilities at risk of appearing weak]>”Would it be possible to keep all of this in house?” [Don’t call upon anyone for help]
>>39551354>”Alright, let’s see what Madame Doctor is willing to do for us.” [Meet with the Madame Doctor]
>>39551354>>”Alright, let’s see what Madame Doctor is willing to do for us.” [Meet with the Madame Doctor]Any chance of negotiating with the ENRA for an on-site medic to stabilize injured while we get them to our own facilities?
>>39551354>”Alright, let’s see what Madame Doctor is willing to do for us.” [Meet with the Madame Doctor]We might have some leverage with her because this operation is not just for our own benefit, it's also for the benefit of the community so she might be inclined to help out.
>>39551354>>”Alright, let’s see what Madame Doctor is willing to do for us.” [Meet with the Madame Doctor]Bring some flowers, chocolate and a disk of fine classical music.Oh and a nice homeknit scarf.
I sigh and pocket the phone. I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to be the one to arrange this. I face Dr. Cygne and mutter. “LIeutenant approved. Says I’m negotiating this.”Dr. Cygne smiles again, this time much less frighteningly. “Wonderful! I’ll drive.”The Nursery exists in what can be described as the best part of Lower East. The part that’s barely in it. The building looks like a large night/strip club, because that’s what it is for the most part. It’s nestled right up against the railroad tracks that delineate the end of the Lower East from the next district over, the large parking lot generally full of cars belonging to people from richer parts of the city. We don’t arrive that way. We come in through a utility road around the back, arriving in the employee parking lot and the entrance to the clinic.Unlike the front of the Nursery, with it’s bright neon lights, huge darkened glass doors, and massive bouncers, the back of the building is far more drab and non-descript, the red stone walls only broken by two sets of doors, one with the phrase “Employees Only” written above it, the other a large garage door, with a smaller person sized one built into it. That entrance is marked “Clinic”.
Dr. Cygne takes me through the employee door, leading me through a hallway lined with changing rooms on one side and what looks to be examination rooms and supply closets on the other. Eventually she stops in front of a large office door with a star on it, the name Cutter pressed in to the metal. She knocks once before opening to door, leading me in to Madame Doctor Cutter’s office. The good Madame Doctor is somewhere in her forties or fifties, although she does a good job covering any signs of age up. She looks up upon our arrival and breaks into a smile. This is another not terribly nice smile, like a cat with a mouse it’s cornered.“Why, Jason,” Madame Doctor Cutter purrs, “What a pleasant surprise. Are you here for business or pleasure?”The Madame Doctor laughs huskily, “Not that there’s much difference here.”>”Business I’m afraid, Madame Doctor. And I doubt it’s the sort anyone will be mixing up with pleasure.” [Polite]>”Listen, you know TK15 has been up to something lately. I internally grit my teeth at what I’m about to do. The good Madame Doctor apparently has a thing for younger men. This is something she’s made more aggressively clear every time I’ve seen her. It was only after our last encounter a few months ago that I realized she might have ulterior motive for the borderline sexual harassment. Two can play at this game. I walk forward and take a seat in front of the Madame Doctor’s desk, lounging in a way that I hope looked lax and dangerous, and not retarded. I smirk at her, lip curling slightly. “The line gets blurred an awful lot, doesn’t it? Lord knows, we might stumble right across it if we’re not careful.”I personally thought the delivery was solid, and for something I came up with on the spot, not a bad line. Unfortunately, it fails to throw the Madame Doctor, who merely smiles ever wider. “How worrisome indeed. Hopefully there’s some strong young man around to lend a hand…”She lets the rest of the sentence linger in the air, which proved to be somewhat disagreeable to Dr. Cygne, who coughs primly. “Madame, Enforcer. We are here for business. And it’s hardly the sort one would confuse with pleasure.”I glance back at Cygne, surprised. I rather thought that she’d be used to stuff like this. I turn back just in time to see the last traces of disappointment fly away from Madame Doctor’s face. I decide to get going here. “I suppose she is right,” I reply, my tone becoming businesslike. “I’m certain you’re up to speed on the TK15 situation, Madame Doctor?”Madame Doctor Cutter nods back at me, eyes no longer hazy with sensuality but sharp and focused. “Of course. I’ve also heard that Limited Liability has a plan to remove these ruffians from the area.”
>”I see you aren’t terribly fond of TK15 then, Madame Doctor?”>”Naturally. And we need some help organizing medical logistics.”>”Two guesses where that came from… but it is true. However, our current facilities aren’t nearly prepared to deal with even a mild setback.”>Write in

“I see you aren’t terribly fond of TK15 then, Madame Doctor?”Cutter scowls, and the expression isn’t very pretty. It reveals a little too much bitterness and anger for the traditional carefree cougar. “No. I like my girls and boys clean. This Pix nonsense… several of them have gone missing recently. I was quite pleased to hear that our loyal protectors, Limited Liability, were planning to take care of the situation.”I nod. Cutter has a habit of taking in and rehabilitating strays. Promising strays of course. And at the end of their rehab is a no pressure offer for future employment. The system might be a little ‘bleeding heart’ but with LL keeping the drug trade under control it worked more often than you’d think. “I see. And two guesses where you got that from… but it’s true. However, our current facilities aren’t nearly ready to handle even a mild setback.”“So, you need logistical help,” replies Madame Doctor Cutter, crossing her arms underneath an ample bus- goddamnit, pay attention, me. “And you’ve decided to come to us, despite my insistence that the Nursery stay neutral in such matter,” her lips curl into a smile, “Why Jason, I’m flattered, but you certainly didn’t need such a transparent excuse. That nervous swallow I was preparing for vanishes in a flash of inspiration. I frown, serious and grim. "Listen, Madame Doctor, you benefit from this as well as us. If TK15 takes over, you will only lose. Help us - help me - keep up our end of the bargain.” I sigh, allowing a little worry to slide onto my face. “I know I don't always take the best care of myself in a scuffle,” the serious expression flows into a coy half smile. “It'd reassure me to have someone of your talents available for private treatment afterwards."Madame Doctor Cutter blinks. And I might just be crazy, but I think I see just a little color touch her cheeks. Oh my god. I’m so good. “Well, if you put it like that Enforcer Reinhardt,” she replies, smiling right back at me, “How could I ever have forgotten my duty as a medical professional. I’m about halfway across the room, when I feel a hand fall upon my shoulder. I turn around to see Cutter standing before me, gazing up with heavy lids. Her hand cups the side of my face, and she rises onto her toes, mouth near my ear.“Oh Jason, please, don’t be careful,” she breathes into my ear, punctuating the sentence with a single nibble.Madame Doctor Cutter settles down onto her feet, watching me with a gleam in her eyes. “I’ll try my best,” I reply a little lamely, before leaving the building with Dr. Cygne.Well… mission accomplished I suppose?>>><<<Alright, well this was as far as I planned to go with Jason's business. The ballistic vest is quite uncomfortable. Not that it’s too heavy, just uncomfortably hot with all the layers. You tug at the bottom a bit before you stop yourself. The fit wasn’t quite perfectl, but it was better than what it would be after any last minute “adjustments” on your part. You shift your shoulders unhappily, trying to air out the suit a little bit. You’re sure that it’s something you’d get used to with time, but to be honest, there hasn’t been much call to wear these things outside of some rare training exercises.Honestly, it almost helps you forget about the gas mask. And those things suck major asshole. Makes you feel like you’re an extra in Alien or something and the facehugger just appeared. Seriously, it’s like a little kid sometimes. All the gear would be intolerable under normal circumstances, but luckily it’s been a chill and windy day. You try to focus on the limited relief it grants in your suit and ignore the ominous implications of the phrase “chill wind”. EnRA and LL had moved in and established a cordon about half an hour after the beginning of the meeting, but you still had to hurry. You just didn’t have enough people on hand to hold a cordon for long while also conducting a raid.
You glance over at the motley crew LL had assembled. Most of them are human sized and toting SMGs, except for a man who could only be an ogre holding an impressively large LMG with a box magazine. Also among their number is the tall man you recognize from the meeting in the garage. Like the rest of the gangsters, he’s wearing a gas mask and a lighter ballistic vest. Unlike the rest of the gangsters he also has what looks like a hand knit scarf and a baseball bat.The Enforcer. You always assumed that Enforcers would be grim and serious. Certainly not so… irreverent. Somehow, that only worries you more.“Alright gang,” barks Kolburne through his mask. “I want six people on the front two doors, three on each side. We open with flashbangs, follow that up with the tear gas. Remember your AORs because LL sure as shit doesn’t know about that.”You chuckle and glance over at the LL Associates. The Enforcer is watching you. Not you personally, just observing the EnRA agents assembled. Your grip on the assault rifle tightens.>Anything I need to address before combat begins?
>>39554454Nope we're good.
>>39554454Make sure the batteries in our lights actually work and our gas mask is strapped on really tight, we don't want it moving around.
>>39554454>>Anything I need to address before combat begins?I think we're good, but do you think there might be any issues with autority on the field?
>>39554454Negative, operation Angry Dwarf is a go.
>>39554454We already made sure LL and EnRA were on the same page as far as plan of entry, building layout, and objectives were concerned during the meeting we skipped over, right?
Before your brain can catch up with what’s happening, you’re in position against the wall. You’re with Ritter and Warrens, obviously Ritter is taking responsibility for busting open the door. You can hear a stentorian voice through the wall. You imagine it’s whoever in TK15 organized this little party. “...imes are changing, of this you can be most fully assured! The worms in Limited Liability lack vision, they lack direction! Too bound by their own backwards codes, they would stifle your growth as well as their own!”Cheers, and the voice continues. “Cleave your loyalty unto me, unto TK15, and we shall forge a new legacy of wealth and power unending!”There are times when you’re sure being quarter orc must suck. As Ritter smashes down the door with a single foot, you think you just got to see when it decidedly doesn’t suck. Warrens and another agent toss in the flashbangs as Ritter moves out of the way. You pull the pin on your own canister of tear gas, as does Ritter and the other two agents, and toss them into the confusion. You can barely hear the hissing canisters over the panicked screams of shock.>Plan of AttackAmber Jensen StatusHit Points: 18/18Limb Status: All goodConcussion Status: All goodAether Points: 20/20Weapon: assault riflePowers:>Predation (2 AeP per round): Grants a plus one (+1) modifier to Acuity and Agility>Claw (3 AeP upon activation): Transforms your hand(s) into a claw. You breathe deeply, allowing the parasite to bring about that subtle transformation. And suddenly, you can smell the tear gas even through the mask. You nose tickles a bit. And despite the thick haze you think you can still see people quite clearly as they stumble around blindly. You barely have time to register a sudden burst of movement as whoever was standing on the stage addressing the masses leps into the crowd, vanishing from sight.Tsk your tongue in irritation, and open fire. As it turns out, this won’t be the first time you tsk your tongue in irritation today. You gun bucks against your grip and slips. It fucking slips. You must not have been holding it against your shoulder properly or something. The bullets whizz off into the floor, bouncing against the concrete and up through the ceiling or something.“FUCK,” you snarl, slamming the rifle back against your shoulder and opening fire once more, making sure to shoot in controlled bursts, aiming for people’s torsos. Your fire rejoins the roaring crescendo of your fellow agents’ guns, the din only amplified by the metallic echo as it bounces against the walls and ceiling of the warehouse. With such a large and confused crowd, you hardly even have to aim, which only underscores how badly you fucked up earlier. Swathes of drug dealers and assorted scum collapse onto the ground under the hail of bullets, their forms weirdly illuminated by flashes of gunfire against the settling cloud of tear gas.
You fall in behind Ritter as the massive agent moves to the front, toting an equally massive ballistic shield. Unlike many similar products, this one is rated to withstand rifle fire. You glance round the edge of the shield, and look to your side to see Kolburne leading another troop of agents with a similar shield. Just as you do, you hear the cracks of gunfire.Only this time, it isn’t from your end. From across the room several someones open up with their own hail of gunfire. You can only see vague flashes through the thick smoke, making getting a read on their position more of chore than it normally would be. They aren’t trained like the agents, and most of their shots go wild. Most being the operative word. From behind you, you hear a hiss of pain as Warrens drops his gun, clutching his left arm.You glance around, your mind working at preternatural speed. There’s little in the way of cover, aside from some thick concrete pillars a few dozen feet away, holding up the ceiling.>>Plan of AttackAmber Jensen StatusHit Points: 18/18Limb Status: All goodConcussion Status: All goodAether Points: 18/20Weapon: assault rifle | 20/30Powers:>Predation (2 AeP per round): Grants a plus one (+1) modifier to Acuity and Agility>Claw (3 AeP upon activation): Transforms your hand(s) into a claw. You grimace, feeding yet more aether to the symbiote to maintain Predation as you seize Warrens by the uninjured arm and being running to the cover of one of the far pillars with him. Bullets whistle as they fly overhead, the rounds missing the pair of you entirely as you scuttle for cover. You slam Warrens against the column and join him, pressing your back against the reassuringly thick pillar of concrete. Yet more bullets fly by, a few bouncing against the pillar. You watch with detached fascination as a round chips off a bit of the pillar in an explosion of concrete dust. You wait a few more seconds for the fire to abate before popping out of cover. By this point a lot of the gas has settled and you can see fairly clearly. The remaining dealers and TK15 members have moved behind improvised barriers, thick and low walls made out of concrete slabs. You wait calmly for a few seconds until you spot someone’s head clear the barrier. You cut them down to size with a burst of gunfire, blood splattering the barricade as the now headless body collapses on top of it.
You slip back behind the pillar once more as the pinned dealers and gangsters open fire once more, bullets bouncing off of the pillar and against the floor. Their fire isn’t really disciplined in any way, but they’ve got enough rapidly firing guns to make up for their lacking marksmanship. As bullets whiz by you switch out mags, replacing your normal lead rounds with a specially marked mag of cold iron FMJs, sometimes called ferrocores to the chagrin of most everyone who actually uses guns for a living. However, you don’t have much time to autistically gnash your teeth of the misnamed rounds, as the criminals have already emptied their mags, and the guns closest to your position fall silent as their operators reload, the silence screaming amidst the din to your heightened senses.Only the guns closest to your position. You peek around the corner, and notice a flicker of movement as something hurries around your pillar. “Got you, fucker,” you snarl, spinning around and unleashing a torrent of ferrocoress as that same something rounds the pillar. The term ferrocore is actually a gross misnomer in this situation. There are two kinds of rounds that use iron instead of or in supplement to lead. True ferrocores have a magnetized iron core, and are incredibly effective at disrupting spirits, demons, magical armor, and constructs. Your rounds are also called ferrocores, although they’re just FMJs encased in cold iron instead of copper. The confusion arose because the second type of ferrocore usually had a cold iron jacket that encased a magnetized iron core, leading to the term being accurate for both rounds for a long time.
You on the other hand are just firing cold iron FMJs which, while less effective against aether than traditional ferrocores, does horrendous damage to the faehound rounding the corner. The massive dog-like creature howls in pain as the round punch through it’s body, it’s flesh igniting with silvery fire in the wake of the cold iron rounds. You continue to fire, driving back the massive hound with a hail of iron encased lead until the hound collapses onto the ground, silvery flames consuming its corpse. The fae are trying a pincer maneuver, their movement covered by their human dupes. You glance around the pillar to see another faehound bounding forward, the mundane rounds from your colleagues doing nothing to the massive animal. Further back, but moving with a terribly inevitability are several trolls, their hunched form loping towards EnRA firing positions, bullets proving equally ineffectual against the ape-like fae.>Plan of AttackAmber Jensen StatusHit Points: 18/18Limb Status: All goodConcussion Status: All goodAether Points: 16/20Weapon: assault rifle | 14/30Powers:>Predation (2 AeP per round): Grants a plus one (+1) modifier to Acuity and Agility>Claw (3 AeP upon activation): Transforms your hand(s) into a claw. >>39556327try to shoot out the fae hounds legs then focus our fire towards the trolls, keep them pinned or slowed down long enough for the others to switch to ferrocores so they can do some damage

You whip the gun around, and open fire at the second Faehound. Lead the shot more than you would normally, damn thing is fast, then you depress the trigger, and the rifle spews forth high velocity death. The ferrocores slice through the animal’s front legs, obliterating them in a surprisingly small bursts of gore as the silvery flames cauterize the wounds. The creature goes down, yowling in pain. You put it out of its misery with another burst from the rifle, the bullets pulping the skull in short order, chunks of grey matter drifting through the air, enveloped in silvery flames.Snorting to yourself satisfiedly, you turn your attention back to the trolls and squeeze the trigger twice more, unleashing two bursts of rifle fire. You really need to line up your shots better. The first burst barely even manages to singe the top of the nearest troll’s head, and the second must have been aimed at an offending bird or some shit, because you can practically see the holes they leave in the metal roof.“Stupid ass bitchy motherfucker can’t even aim sperglording fuckwit cockless wundercuck…” you snarl, re-aligning your sights by slamming the stock of the rifle so hard into your shoulder that you’re certain it left a bruise. You take aim with a righteous fury and slam your finger down on the trigger.
For some strange reason, the decision to unload the rest of your mag didn’t result in the assault rifle jittering itself out of your hands and into deep space. Instead, through sheer force of frustration, you keep the gun steady and the stream of ferrocores pulverizes not one, but two troll heads. You can practically see the trails of gore the bullets drag behind them as they pass through the liquefied remains of the first troll’s cranium and slam home against the second troll’s head. Both fae drop to the ground, their bodies smouldering from the neck.“Fuck yes,” you scream, sounding almost like a lady tennis player, so intense is your exaltation. It does not last long however. In the back of the warehouse, an explosion of green light. You cover your eyes and look away. The light fades after a few seconds and you look back around, blinking.Three giants of vine and wood march towards you and your fellow EnRA agents. Behind them, the rear of the warehouse is transformed, vines hanging from the ceiling, carpeting the floor, clinging to the wall. And in the center of the newly arisen forest stands an elf, laughing uproariously.A bit of pink powder smudged along his upper lip.>>><<<Well guys, I think now is as good a time as any for Jason and the cavalry to come riding in, don't you?End of the thread for today.
