In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium there is only war. Imperium of Man, once strong and proud, now is slowly crumbling, whole regions of space are lost to the horrors that lurk in the darkness of the void. Sector Deus is just one of the thousands of Imperial provinces that form the front line in the war to defend Humanity itself. Corruption from within and aggression from without threaten it. But the Emperor sends us hope. High Lords of Terra commissioned a Chapter of Adeptus Astartes, finest warriors Humanity has ever seen, to defend this region of space. They are the last line of defence that hold Age of Ruin at bay. They are the Ghosts of Retribution and this is their tale.

A couple of things to clarify from the last thread:+Heratis, an unstable volcanic world, was the place where one of the traitor transport vessels fled during the Battle of Artoria. They have most likely perished in the bombardment by the Silent Guardians, however it was imprecise. Do you take any other precautions? (sending troops down onto the planet might be dangerous due to the natural hazards even if all of the traitors have perished)+Terminator Daveron was nominated by Chapter Master to receive a reward for his actions. What kind of reward would you feel is appropriate for his actions?+Artoria was scoured of any remaining heretics is now a peaceful Imperial world that tries to rebuild damage done by the foul Ebon Host.+2 xp to Chapter Master, +4 Chapter xpPossible extra +1 xp reward for creation of page for Artoria & Heratis (they share same system)

>>39512753Past year has been extremely successful for the Imperium. Victories on numerous fronts have allowed High Lords of Terra to slightly decrease planetary tithes across the Segmentum, allowing more free trade and growth of commercial guilds. Averon Birg mentions, that he managed to find an option to invest up to 70W into a particularly lucrative amasec production business, which would bring a profit of 5% per year. Maximum length of this investment would be 20 years.>>39512830Meanwhile, Tyrel Hagen sent you a message that Dark Eldar raiders who have been raiding Imperial holdings in Subsector Ionium should cease their nefarious deeds for a while - his Imperial Navy patrols managed to intercept one of the Dark Eldar raiding parties. Ship was destroyed and raids have ceased for now...>>39512903After the massive influx of immigrants to Varda a new city was founded in 342.M41. However due to the various other matters pressing the Chapter it was never named. In 349.M41 the city finally reached 500 thousand inhabitants and on that occasion it was named Macedonia, in honour of Captain Macedon who bravely defended Novomark during the Betrayal at Varda. While original proposal was to name it after the Chapter Master, records indicate that he politely declined the offer and suggested to name it after Macedon instead.=Realm & Wealth=+10 Wealth was sent as a tribute from Artoria+Varda income: d10+2d3 x 1.2 +Resource consumption: 1 Gas
Nerial Derang, your Chief Astropath, knocks on the doors of your cell with a heavy iron rod which he uses for his stick. As both of you are psykers, you knew that he was coming anyway, but etiquette demands its due. Nerial bows:>Milord, we've received Eisenhorn's reply. Please, take it.He hand you over a letter.+++>To Chapter Master of the Ghosts of Retribution,>Dear friend, I have received your message about Silencius. While it worried me how you obtained such knowledge while being half a galaxy away, I listened to your advice and left for Ophelia VII immediately. I arrived just in time to save Commodus Voke from certain death. >Inquisitor Voke came to Ophelia VII seeking answers as to what pushed once so bright and pure Inquisitor Quixos towards this path of darkness and heresy. Ophellia was the place where Quixos received his teachings and even later he returned there numerous times throughout his career, so it naturally seemed like the first place to look for answers. >Ophelia VII is the oldest of the Cardinal worlds and it's dungeons are deep. While most of the "guests" down there are heretics and faithless who are brought there to suffer and repent, Ophellia VII is also known for it's vast collections of various documents and other primary sources from the early days of the Imperium. While these papers are not heretical per se, they are not meant to be known by the lower classes and thus they are gathering dust in the underground vaults of Ophelia.+CONT+
Rolled 7 (1d10)>>39514788Put the 70w in for 10 years, compounding interest should make that about 63% profit over the period.Rolling for gas income.
>Voke went straight to the old offices that were used by the Inquisition back when Quixos was still admired across the Segmentum as the would-be saint and saviour. What he found there was unexpected. Silencius, long-missing Chapter Master of the Silent Guardians apparently has infiltrated those abandoned tunnels and was seeking something. When confronted, he tried to convince Voke to join him in his quest to "bring back the Emperor". Believe me, I am not making this up. Those were the words Voke passed onto me before he succumbed to his wounds. After Voke denounced him as a heretic, Silencius destroyed his retinue and almost killed old Inquisitor himself. By the time I arrived he was already gone, but Voke is alive only because of your warning.>I am not yet sure on how should I proceed with what transpired on Ophelia VII, however for my foremost priority becomes tracking down Silencius, for I am afraid that he might be tainted by the same dark ideas that guided Quixos. Please do not antagonise Silent Guardians before we know more. >Stay faithful and stay watchful. >Regards,>Gregor Eisenhorn+END+
Rolled 1, 1 = 2 (2d3)>>39514788and rolling for the other income
>>39515020As with all of the finance rolls and due to the feudal system of loans and investments in Imperium, all percentage offered comes from the initial investment and doesn't add up. 70W for 10 years at 5% means an income of 50% = 35W. You'd get back 105W in 10 years, guaranteed.

A couple of things I'd like to throw out there1) Are there any plans to increase our psychic potential/abilities? can't remember the last time we've spent XP there. Be nice to expand our arsenal or make it safer to use to some extent2) Is there any benefit for not having Terminator armor for CM? Or is the Artificer armor better? If so is there any way we can upgrade it or get some Master-Crafted or legendary armor?3)How do special weapon crafting work if possible? For example Ironhaunt has a slew of special effects I know it's DAoT gear but is there any way we can get weapons close ranged, Ranged, and psker based that have special effects or traits?4)Power Scythes. Our chapter emblem has a Power Scythe on it. But we have no Power Scythes. We should fix this.
>>39515499>>39515523Sternberg's mission was a mixed success. His mission was to inspect an ancient asteroid concentration near Templos, where Imperial Fists suspected might have lain a lost Strike Cruiser, known as "Pulveriser" that once served their Chapter, but was lost while in transit through Sector Deus about two centuries ago while it was returning from the Gothic War (ended 160.M41). Among the rocks they found shards of a destroyed space ship, however during their attempt to explore it ancient reactor became unstable and detonated. Fortunately, Brother Eikon from the 5th Company managed to lead everyone out before that happened. Exploration servitors were too slow to get out, but no battle brothers from either Chapter were lost. However while retreating they have acquired a Cogitator Matrix from the bridge of the ship, which Leutenant Sternberg awarded to your Chapter for Eikon's heroism.Cogitator Matrix is a very valuable component to ship systems and can be either gifted to the techpriests in order to gain favour with them or alternatively can be used when ordering a new ship. It will decrease total cost by 10%. This Matrix is suitable for any kind of Escort-type ships. It appears that Strike Cruiser wasn't there at all, meaning that Sternberg will have to return back to his Chapter empty handed and look for other leads as to where "Pulveriser" might have disappeared.+++>>39515048>>395150209 + 25% = 11W income gained this turn(Birg's bonus + 5% from Orbital station)No eco-damage was inflicted.+++Session finished for tonight, it's quite late, thanks for playing!
>>39515828Thanks skg! Will archive, add 11w income and 10w from artoria.Remove 70w for investment and add expected events and cogitator.
>>39515808>Are there any plans to increase our psychic potential/abilities?It's up to the players to decide, feel free to discuss in the chat room.>Is there any benefit for not having Terminator armor for CM?Terminator Armour will be a lot bulkier and slow down Chapter Master, also restricting dodge, etc. However it will offer more protection. I'd say it depends on the situation. I'd personally recommend to use it when boarding/engaging static defences, possibly when facing very powerful enemies, such as daemons.>How do special weapon crafting work if possible? You need to find Magos Artificer to do it or if you prefer so, you can invest XP to try to do it yourself, this might be especially potent for force weapons. Try visiting various forgeworlds. Nestorium even now offers creation of unique weapons for 25W.>Power Scythes. Our chapter emblem has a Power Scythe on it. But we have no Power Scythes. We should fix this.I like how you think. I'll even add a bonus for using power scythes as your weapon of choice either individually or in formations.
>>39515972>individually or in formationsPersonally I'd say Formations seeing how we're doing Raven Guard Gorrila tactics but I'd be fine with whatever the rest of the guys agree on Thanks for running Skarg
>>39516138I reckon close-combat terminator squads would be good candidates for power scythes.
>>39516183Not to mention Assualt Marines or the members of our Shadow
