Previous threads:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Generation%20A%20sidestoryhttps://archive.moe/tg/search/subject/opfor%20frost/Bird: HereticalLoveQYou are Vetr. A title and a name. The proclaimed son of Winter himself once more reborn into the lower realms of mortal flesh. A gift, most agree, to your people in an hour of horrendous plight. The Glacier that had been both a crypt and a womb had drawn you from her great depths and life had coursed in a rampaging torrent through your veins. The man you had been before that long, cold embrace now not even a memory. All for a purpose. Thus you had found yourself setting out with a great Frost host. The first true raiding party since the war under the seas had made such voyages nigh impossible. To a great, vast, alien land you had come. A place that had not seen your people in generations beyond memory, the knowledge and the maps lost to the dust of time.It was here that you would prove yourself worthy to bear the title lauded on you.Right now, however, you don't quite appear the part. You blink several times as you attempt to clear your hazy vision. Only after a moment do you realize that you're just staring up at a tanned stomach pressing against your face. A stomach that once again growls angrily in protest at its current emptiness.Your attempt to rise is only half-hearted at best and with your head atop a plump, fleshy pillow, sleep almost takes you then and there.Another growl.“I've heard songs about gods transforming great sea beasts into lesser animals. Usually to trick some upstart mortal. More and more I'm beginning to think this might be such a tale.” You groan, and this time put your elbows down and shove yourself upright. Avael's relaxed body slides off you to the floor.
Grimacing and clamping your teeth together against the pain that seems as though about to set your body afire, you take stock of the small, dusty room. How you'd ended up in here, you can't say. From the looks of things, wherever you are is new to you. Sand colored brick walls and floor which is now littered with debris from a large hole in the thatch ceiling above.Dark outside, you note. While it might not be much, you take solace in the fact that despite the pain, you don't seem to be overly injured. At least when you feel about your ribs and arms, nothing seems broken inside, though your flesh is all brutally tender to the touch.“Avael.” You turn to the slumped over shape of the small, foreign girl you'd taken captive upon first reaching these lands. If she heard you, she makes no motion to rise. Her face is contorted in obvious distress, but her mouth moving and ears twitching at least lets you know she's alive.“Wake up, damn fox.” You reach out and take her jaw in your hand, giving her cheeks a squeeze.“Uuuuu...” Her eyes clamp tighter and she weakly attempts to pull away. You release your hold and this time place your hand on the floor. Another shove and you rise to unsteady feet, searching about for your great axe that you find a few feet away. The heavy wood and steel feels good in your hand. Wherever you are, so long as you have this, any adversary would find you a difficult opponent, you've no doubt.“C'mon. Up you get. Up!” Reaching down you attempt to pull the small fox girl upright by one of her arms, but her limp form threatens to just flop back down should you release your grip.“Avael cannot eat more...” She mumbles and you realize she's quite soundly asleep.“That's a good one,” You grunt as you scoop her up and rise, “Nobody would ever believe you.”
Woo~ more vikings, more raiding, more pillaging.
>>39223477Very little pillaging so far, though.
>>39223491We'll get there.
Cautiously you begin to explore the building, carrying your limp little captive while still keeping a firm grip on your huge axe. You have a hard time discerning which way might be out, until you begin to hear the sound of chaos growing ever louder. When you finally peek your head outside through a wooden door, you're greeted by an almost apocalyptic sight.Fires blaze unchecked as cat people, screaming in terror, dash through crowded streets in absolute panic. The din so loud that Avael's ears fold down against her head and slowly her eyes open only slightly.“You up.” She says flatly, sleepily.“You should not be up.” Her eyes shift over to the doorway you now stand in, and begin to widen at the sight outside. The two of you watch for what feels like hours, though you know that only moments truly pass. Even you aren't sure where to begin.“I don't remember what happened. One minute I'm face to face with some giant cat, the next you're smacking my face.” You mutter, narrowing your eyes threateningly when one cat peers at you a bit too curiously.“Not crazy you forget. You lucky to be alive. Wouldn't be! If Avael not save.”“Hah,” You grunt, “Now that's a good one. What did you do? Or rather, what did you eat or burn down?”“So rude! Avael save you from lost forever in frozen giant!” The fennec frowns.“Right, right. Can you walk?”“Nngh...” Avael turns her head against your chest and mutters, “No power. Too hungry.”Well at least you aren't in any danger of her adding to this inferno outside. Though with the way those blazes are growing already, the whole of the city might be caught up before morning. You don't know what sort of fire control this place might have had before, but there doesn't seem to be any in place now.
>>39223585Fuck. The loot is burning! Save the loot.
At the very least, these chaotic streets shouldn't offer up too much in the way of resistance. The cats all seem quite preoccupied with all manner of fleeing in absolute terror. You aren't sure what has them so shaken, perhaps they just really hate fire?Stepping out past the doorway of the building you seem to have somehow landed inside, you cautiously begin to weave your way through narrow streets made only more so by the running crowds. While you walk, you keep an eye out for any of your own people, but find none.“Did the rest of them make it inside the city?” You ask without glancing down at your captive.“Zzzz... Top in class....”A quick shake later and the fennec is back awake and shouting in annoyance.“These fires are going to torch this whole damn city down if something doesn't stop them. That would sort of put a damper on what we can loot. You know any rain magic, by any chance?”Avael appears to nearly retort with something she might think witty, but screws up her mouth and averts her eyes.“Big fire magic. Not so much water...”Useless girl.[ ] Use the current chaos to go check the temple and see if you can't cut the head off the snake while it's distracted.[ ] The temple can wait, right now you need to get this fire under control one way or another. >>39223783>[ ] The temple can wait, right now you need to get this fire under control one way or another. Go find the crew.
The temple and its keepers will have to wait for now. As much as you'd like to go finish them off, you have to admit that in your current condition, you might not be up to task.Instead you turn your attention to the fires. If something isn't done to get the inferno under control, you might well lose this entire city and everything inside. Not to mention untold amounts of cat people, most of whom you really have no qualms with.Despite the ache through your body, you press your legs into a run and start weaving through narrow streets and even slimmer alleys. Everywhere the cats run, screaming as their homes and shops ignite as the blaze continues to creep.“Out of my way!” You snarl, banging your axe against a nearby sand brick building. At the sight, the slow crowd blocking your way scramble every which way and you find the road clear. Finally, after beginning to wonder if you would just be lost in this maze of a city, your ears pick up the recognizable tone of your birth language.“Ach. More barrels! Come on you sorry lot, unless you want ashes and char as your prize!”The twinge of relief is palatable as you pick out Grindstone's voice from the shouts.Picking up the pace, you continue to weave the streets and hear the Frosts bellows growing more clear as closer and closer you draw.Though as you round yet another sandy corner, you slide to a quick stop, eyes narrowing and lips letting out a snarl.“Grangir...” You bite, fist tightening around your axe.
The young lord had noticed you at seemingly the same time, and he smiles wickedly when he sees that you're alone, save the half-asleep fox in your arms.“Ah? Vetr, is that you? Fine job you did here, really brilliant work.” His fake smile slowly fades as his sword hand swings a few light spins of an expensive blade.“But that trick of yours is going to end up costing me and my boys quite a bit. And we're not happy about that, are we boys?” Grangir shouts as three of his cronies step alongside him. With Grindstone still shouting away and the rest of the Frosts distracted fighting the fire, you know there won't be anyone coming along to break up a fight. And this might well become a street brawl to the death.Grangir's gang set aside a few chests they had been carrying, each piled high with an assortment of loot. Gems, gold goblets, fine cloths. They had been busy. You're still not quite sure what happened before you had passed out, but if this lot had seen it, it must not just be Avael's attempt at a trick. Either way, you're not in much mood for banter.“I couldn't give less of a damn about your baubles,” You reach to your belt and raise your flask, quickly draining it before tossing the empty steel aside, “And you're in my way.”“Heh.” Grangir laughs once before a wicked smile twinges the corners of his mouth, “I think it's about time someone taught you a bit of respect. Or spilled your guts. Whichever comes first.”[ ] Clear a path with your throwing axes and dash through. >>39224272The prick needs to learn his lesson but not now. We have bigger things to do. More important things. Let's just remind that there is a clear track record of us killing stuff that we do not like. A big record. Involving sea beasts. A big cat. They have big mouth and brains of a cuckoo.
>>39224413He's that special kind of stupid that doesn't learn, we have an opportunity to cure him here and now. I loathe to think we will not have another opportunity such as this in the future.
“Big words, but I don't think you can back them up.” You growl as you quickly lower Avael to the ground with a one handed grasp of arm.The group attempt to start encircling you, but they all still seem a bit wary to get within range of your immense axe, each having seen what destruction it was capable of. Even their fine mail and leathers would offer little resistance to such a weapon.“We'll see about that. That little fox of yours is going to wish you'd just handed her over nicely in the first place, I'm in far fouler a mood now.” Grangir licks his lips and raises his sword to a stiff guard. The man to his left had little time to react, and hadn't made use of it. The whirling axe slides easily from your grip before burying itself in his chest, sinking up to the haft. The mortally wounded Frost grunts, grasps the ancient axe, and falls dead onto his face. With a furious shout, the other two rush you with weapons on high.Sidestepping a downward strike from another sword, you kick aside the other charging frost with a boot to his chest. The other one raises his shield in an attempt to slide off a one handed swing from your huge axe. His shout of surprise rings across the buildings as, instead, you hook the blade around the wood and tug hard.As you pull, you also lunge forward with your other hand and sink your sword cleanly through his neck. The man's eyes bulge as blood erupts from his gaping mouth while you rip the blade clean.Uncertainty clear on the last goon's features now, you can see the shaking of his speartip as he guards himself behind it and his shield. However you at least know of this one, and know enough to be cautious. A seasoned dualist and quite a renowned warrior. It's he that lashes out first, with several quick strikes of his long spear. These you duck aside skillfully, before knocking aside the weapon with your own and attempting to close the distance.
It's he that lashes out first, with several quick strikes of his long spear. These you duck aside skillfully, before knocking aside the weapon with your own and attempting to close the distance.Instead of falling back, the warrior charges forward and delivers a hard blow with the boss of his shield. Still feeling weak, you only half manage to pull back, and the iron slams into your side, nealry throwing you from your feet. Now in too close for the spear, the man tosses the weapon aside and slashes on his draw with the battered edge of a short sword. The cut draws a thin line of blood from your arm, but you're already outside of its reach for a deep wound.Just as you pull back your axe for a swing, however, you're forced to leap aside to avoid a thrust from Grangir as the young lord attacks from the rear.Any other time, two against one would hardly seem daunting. But with your exhaustion easily apparent and your breathing already heavy and fast, you know you won't last a drawn out fight.Instead you whirl around in a spinning attack, forcing the two opponents back outside their range. The next moment is the one you leap, gathering up whatever magic you have left and what little water is in the ground below to give you just enough of a boost to send you sailing over the last of Grangir's group. The man shouts in anger, but you're already behind him and turning. As the heavy head of your axe sinks into his torso, there is a wet crunch as bones snap and flesh cleaves. Two separate pieces fall to either side of you.Covered in gore now, you spin around to face Grangir himself, and freeze. His furious gaze remains locked on you even as he presses a gleaming, ornate dagger ot the small throat of Avael as the fox struggles weakly, unable to shout through the hand covering her face.
>>39224868I was wondering why you didn't ask for a roll yet.You bastard are gonna bully Avael.
“Mmph! Mmmphhh!!” Avael screams despite the fact.“Quiet, you little bitch! Not another step, Vetr!” He stands back up, his shaking hand holding the blade tight against the soft flesh of your fox.You grip your axe tightly, but halt nevertheless. Magic or no, one flick of his wrist and Avael will be beyond your saving.“You just walk away, Vetr, and I'll let her live. Walk away!” He presses the blade just hard enough for a few drops of blood to ooze around the edge.Despite his words, you don't move. From where he is, he can't see the fire burning in those big blue eyes.Grangir howls in as much surprise as pain as his knife hand is suddenly engulfed in a smattering of orange flames. But that momentary lapse is all you need.Rushing forward you drive a fist into his sternum and send him spinning to land flat on his back, losing his grip on his weapon and Avael as he falls. You catch the little fox as she collapses, eyes closed limply, completely out cold now. Lifting her lightly, you swing her over your left shoulder as you continue to approach the panicking lord who only just manages to extinguish the flames before his face rises to meet your own as you tower over him.“Don't do anything stupid, Vetr.” His voice is quivering despite what must be his best attempt to appear calm, “You can't kill me, I'm a lord! My father... My father would put out such a blood price on your head that even Grindstone's crew would attempt to slit your throat as you sleep with your... Whores!” He spits out the last word as he glares at the limp fennec.[ ] You don't need to kill him and risk a bounty. You let out a deep, long breath as you consider. After a moment, however, you sink your axe head into the ground and release your grip on it.Grangir's face relaxes a bit and he might even smile slightly.“That's good, Vetr. Very good. Maybe you're not quite as dumb as I... Wait, what are you doing?!”Your right hand wraps itself easily around his boot at the ankle, fingers digging into the black leather as you watch the smaller man attempt to struggle backwards, only to find his progress blocked by a large stone wall of a building.“You know the funny thing about a good pillage. It's quite a bit of chaos, you see. Mention your father all you want...” You slowly look up.Grangir follows your gaze until he sees the blazing wood above, the fire so intense that whips of blue swirl through the orange.“But how will he ever know?” You look back down and smile.“No! Vetr, no! Wait, I'll...!” The words catch in his throat as you lift him roughly by the leg.“You'll burn, little lord. You threatened me and this little tail of mine. You got away with it once, but this time you'll burn.”“Wait! No, waaiiittt!!!” He screams, pleading, as you swing him back and then upwards suddenly. At the apex of the swing you release your grip and send him flying up into the burning structure. His scream is momentarily cut short as his body is impaled on a burning spike of wood, but his voice quickly rises again. You stand and watch as his pale flesh begins to crack and char black. Flames pour into his gaping mouth as the last of his voice fades. It only takes a minute or so before the corpse is just an unrecognizable dark shape inside a torrent of flames. While you don't particularly care for killing your own, at the very least it's good to have one such as that out of your life for good. Certainly there will be a search, considering his status, but it will yield up nothing in the ashes.
>>39225466Ah good old fire. Solves so many problems.
Before continuing on to Grindstone and the rest of the crew, you take a moment to toss the other corpses into fires, ensuring no questions about such grievous wounds will be raised.Pulling your axe back up from the sand brick road, you heft the slumbering fox a bit higher on your shoulder and continue on past the pyres. While Grangir and his gang had indeed all died in combat, you have your doubts that they will find the doors to the great winter hall open to those who had accosted the son of any god. Let alone of Winter himself. At last you find yourself in a large, open square where a group of Frosts has gathered in a flurry of activity. Grindstone still barks out orders as he gestures about to various buildings with his sword. The same buildings, you note, that a younger cat man points out.As usual, the old captain's beady eyes miss nothing.“Ach,” Grindstone spits, “About time you showed up, Vetr. We need all hands on deck if we're going to put out this inferno.”Already you have a fairly good grasp of his plans as dozens of Frosts come running into the square, rolling great wooden barrels in front of them.“Ah?” A somewhat recognizable voice pipes up from behind you, and you turn to see Balad with her huge mace resting across her shoulders as the rabbit looks at you in surprise.“You're still alive?” She nods as if impressed.“I'm hard to kill.” You grunt.“Master!”You're nearly knocked over as Khepri slams into your side, her arms wrapping around your torso.“I've been looking for you this entire time! Where were you?” Her face turns up to reveal her amber eyes.“Just a bit busy. Here,” You swing Avael off your shoulder and plant her in the arms of the surprised shadow cat, “I've got work to do, so hang onto her for now.”
Stepping up alongside a gathering throng of Frosts that crowd around the barrels, you see each of them grin as they spot you.“We figured you were already sniffing out the best treasure for yourself, Vetr!”“Hah! 'Bout time your ugly mug showed up!”“Hey, guys, Vetr's back! Some of you owe me some money!”You can't help but smirk a bit as a few dozen thump you on the back as you make your way to one of the barrels yourself. It isn't much, you note, but hopefully it will be enough.Curiously, you also see dozens of cats running about with buckets that they fling onto some of the smaller blazes. Though all appear a bit apprehensive at the Frost presence, they don't outright avoid your people.“Alright you sorry louts!” Grindstone's gravely voice rises loud enough to quiet the rest of the men.“Just because Vetr's here doesn't mean the rest of you can slack! If these fires aren't put out, you're all getting back on the ships empty handed!”Grindstone's words are answered with mock shouts of dismay and some laughter. As weak as you are, you fully intend to add your own power to theirs. You'll only get one shot at extinguishing the burning city with this amount of water. By the time another set of barrels can be brought up, more buildings will certainly be lost.1d20 for snowfall

im a little late but im here.
Quickly the barrels are split open and water begins to splash to the ground in great gulps through the cracks as several Frosts attack the wood with heavy axes. You watch the spilling liquid for a moment, before turning your face to the sky and closing your eyes. Wordlessly, more and more Frosts follow suit.Despite the pain, and the fatigue, the outright exhaustion, you can feel it. The power lurking inside you, just below the surface. Untold power, of which you can only peer into the depths and wonder, for you know little about it. But when you call for it, so does it come welling up.Already the air around the gathered Frosts is as cold as any harsh, biting winter chill. Panicked cats recoil from the blast of frozen air, retreating further and further back as the magic grows.Still keeping your eyes closed even as you feel the first flakes melting against your skin, you continue to focus. More and more the snow falls, heavier and heavier still, until you can feel it accumulating across your body.Only they do you open your eyes to look, and see the great, vast city as it is shrouded in a blizzard from the sky. Already the fires begin to sputter and die as the snows push them back. After a few minutes pass by, even the smoke subsides, and as it does, a cheer erupts. Not from the Frost crews, but from the cats poking out from various windows and doorways.Invaders you might be, but you had spared their city from a far worse fate than a bit of looting.Even Grindstone flits a rare smile as he claps you on the shoulder.“Ach, snow in a desert. Isn't that one of the signs of the end of days?” The old captain laughs, before shoving the cat that had been beside him earlier forward.
“Vetr, this is Haset. Boy organized the slaves into fighting the fires, and lead us to where the last of the FAT were hiding.”The young cat doesn't understand the Frost tongue, but looks between the two of you, a bit bewildered.“Haset?” You turn toward him.“Ah, yes, great one!” He bows his head low.“Enough of that,” You push him back upright, “Is here anything we need to be worried about now? Counterattack?”The young cat understands the trade tongue well enough, it would seem, because he quickly shakes his head.“No, great one! The remainder of the FAT have either fled or more likely been destroyed by your warriors.”“And the temple?” You press.“Ah...” At this, Haset looks alarmed, “I believe they have escaped the city, great one, upon you destroying their holy pyramid.”You stop, blinking a few times.“Upon my what?”“Ach,” Grindstone spits, “Someone get the Vetr a drink! As much as you can find!”“I think he's going to need it.” The old captain adds as he turns to study you with a partial grimace.
As their story progresses, you quickly work your way through every drink thrust before you as you sti atop a small empty barrel. Some recognizable, some clearly of this land.“I don't understand,” You frown as you take another offered cup from a young cat girl no taller than your knee who looks quite terrified, “I've never even heard of anything like that.”Grindstone nods, drinks, shakes his head.“In all my years and all the songs, I haven't either, Vetr.” He spits, “Nobody has, except for maybe her...”You follow his gaze to the still slumbering tan fox, whom you reach over to take from Khepri's arms to rest across your lap.“She's the one who climbed up to pull you back out.” Grindstone looks down at her, perhaps a bit more respect in those wrinkled eyes.Lowering your gaze, you set a hand on Avael's forehead and your lips tighten as you shake your head. Hard to believe she's good for anything except torching ships and eating enough for a dozen of the heartiest Frost warriors.“Haset.”“Yes, great one?” The young cat boy rushes to your side and bows.“Stop calling me that already. And bring food.”“Right away, gre... Yes!” The cat quickly stands up to dash away before you grab his arm and he turns.“A LOT of food.” You emphasize.
>>39226365Hahaha!Time to bully! With Food!
When he at last returns, he does so with at least two dozen other cats. Each bearing armfuls of sacks or plates piled high with meat atop their heads. Soon enough, the square nearly resembles the feast at the beach.Reaching to one of the cats, you pull a huge, cold haunch of some unknown creature from the plate. A drumstick easily the size of your own head. You nearly ask what it is, before thinking better of it. She's unlikely to care, you haven't seen her turn her nose up at anything except firewater.Lowering the meat down to the slumbering face of the fennec, you hold the drumstick there for only a moment before in a flash, her teeth sink into the flesh. So greedily does she begin to rip through the offering, that you actually have to tighten your grip on the bone. While the Frost crew cackle at the sight, the cats all watch in rising alarm.Avael has the haunch clean down to the white bone in only perhaps a minute, while still appearing quite asleep. It isn't until the last bite that one of her eyes peels open to look up at you.“More...” She says with a rising voice, “Moarrr...”That hungry eye turns to a cat in front of you and the woman actually drops the plate heaped with bread and cheese, retreating away as the fox lunges off your legs to crouch beside the food. What had been a mountain quickly being reduced to a few crumbs. When her head snaps over to lock onto a few more cats standing anxiously nearby, the group look amongst each other before carefully setting their goods down and stepping away. Avael pounces and shows no signs of slowing down as she simply devours.“Alright, that's about enough for now. It's time you do a bit of talking...” You reach down to pull a massive loaf of some flat bread from her hands.Instinctively your hand recoils as a set of sharp fangs sink into your arm, Avael's eyes darting up to you as she continues to tear off chunk after huge chunk as each bite disappears into her gullet.
With an annoyed grunt, you raise the collar that had been given back to you when you had first sat down to drink. You wave the metal ring slightly.Avael's bites slow, before finally she chews a few more times and swallows loudly.“Avael not even close to full.”>talk/question/action?

“Are you even capable of being full? Where does it all go? You've had to have eaten your own bodyweight by now, or close enough at least.”Avael studies you as her teeth sink into some plump red fruit, purple juices dripping down her face to disappear into the snow.“Big appetite.” She mutters. Her form stiffens as you place a big hand on her head between her ears, and then jumps slightly as she feels your grip tighten.“We all know that by now, and if you want to keep eating you had better start answering some questions. Now what the hell happened to me, and why did you jump in to stop it?” You ask, not removing your hand even as Avael finishes the last of the fruit and licks at her fingers. The little fox doesn't answer you right away as she continues to stare, as if seeing you for the first time.“If Avael not stop you, you never come back out of that.” She frowns, still staring at you as her fingers search about for more food.“So I've heard, but that doesn't really answer my question. What happened? What the hell did I become? I don't remember any of it.”Though her fingers close around a block of cheese at least three times the size of her own fist, she doesn't raise it to her lips just yet.Or maybe ravenous maw would be more fitting a description, you think.“You know nothing about that power?” She finally asks.“If I did, why would I be asking you?”“Mph.” She takes a bite, chews, swallows.“That power not something of this world. No wizard know such a spell. Not a thing that can be taught. Old magic. Dead magic.” She takes another bite.
Well it is said that you're the son of a god in a mortal form, but you hardly think that a real explanation. Sure you were seemingly quite a bit more magically capable than any of the rest of your kind, but it seems a stretch from that to what had been described to you vividly by dozens of watching crewman.“If no wizard knows about that, how do you?”“Know about, sure!” She counters, “Know how done? No. Impossible.”“We clearly know it isn't impossible now. I don't remember doing it, but judging by parts of this city, I'd say it's pretty evident that it happened. Now stop dancing around the question and just be up front about it.”“Avael not dancing.” She raises an eyebrow at you as though thinking perhaps you'd hit your head a bit too hard on the fall.“That magic long lost. Only legend. Only fable. Stories to scare children.” Avael takes another huge bite.“Scare them why?!” You grunt, snatching the cheese from her hand. This time she makes no dive to attempt to snag it back, instead only sitting to look up hard at you.“That magic only of the end. To all things. Complete destruction.” She crushes a cracker in her fist. You sit back up and can't help but laugh a bit, the rest of the crew watching unsure, unable to understand Avael's words as you can.“I may have flattened a bit of this city, but it's a bit leap from that to destroying the world.” You snort, draining your cup.“Not you destroying, dumb barbarian. Such magic in story is only when all things face total destruction. Only then does such magic rise.”
While you listen you watch her. If her words alone aren't enough to give you pause, the way her eyes stare up at you is certainly enough. Though you perhaps might not know her well, you know enough to see that she doesn't consider this one big joke.“If that were true, how would anyone know about it? Obviously the world hasn't ended before or we wouldn't be sitting here talking.”“No.” She acknowledges, “Would not be. Not a certainty, the death of the world. A danger faced before, though, yes.”
Certainly the folklore of your own people has its share of similar stories as rogue gods or demons or otherwise sought to end the world. But it was hard to take any such tale at face value when the singer was belting out raucous, debouched songs only minutes before. And while there was without a doubt a final set of days to come in a great battle of the gods above and those below, you hardly think that currently the case. Mostly because you had yet to see the sky split open and the great host of winter descend to face those that crawled from the molten earth.Whatever Avael might believe, you have your doubts about the world being on the brink of destruction.“Whatever the supposed danger facing the end of the world, why did you bother to pull me back out? You could have just used the commotion to flee.”At this question, Avael turns her head away and answers without looking back.“Avael risk capture again. Better you than others. And now...” She tilts her head to see you again.“Avael need to take you to hall of magic. Great wizards will know more.”[ ] Hah! Sorry, no. You mull things over for a few minutes, continuing to drink away the ache of your body. There are already plans being set out for this city and those will take some time. With the power structure completely gone, the Frost crews will have to remain here to keep peace and quash any thoughts of rebellion, though the slaves don't seem to be all that keen on such anyways. With the fertile lands around the city putting out so much food, a way to get full holds back to the Frost lands and establish a safe route for more shipments has to be established. And for that to happen, there first has to be stability. It isn't feasible to simply take root in the city and put all your hopes in one plan. Instead, your people will help the cat slaves establish new rulers more keen on friendly relations. Which seem quite plausible, you guess, as the mere threat of another giant over their city would likely put the fight out of any plotters. So what do you have to lose taking a little side adventure? Hell you can probably finish that and be back with more than enough time before the Frost crews are ready to depart once more.“They got treasure there?” You ask, running fingers through your beard.Avael gawks at you, some fried pastry falling from her mouth.“Not take you there to steal!”“Relax, relax. I'll be nice... So, do they?”“Knowledge is treasure. Not trinkets.” Avael frowns, clearly rethinking leading you to the hall with such thoughts in your head. You retell everything to Grindstone, who laughs at the notion that the world is somehow teetering toward annihilation. Though he seems less amused when you relay your plans to go to this hall of magic to learn more.“Ach, Vetr.” He spits, “What good could come of that?”

“Our people will be stuck here for a good while as we set things in order, right? Think of it as an opportunity to learn more about these lands and where to go next.” You smile. The old captain shakes his head as he drinks.“You know we can't spare any crew. We're short enough on men as is, especially without you. The rabbits have agreed to stay on as guards for a price; and the wolves appear quite gone, but these are strange lands, Vetr. Who knows what might befall us? Or you?”You wave aside the concerns with an easy and perhaps somewhat inebriated cockiness at this point.“Relax, my friend. The crews can always go to the boats if danger seems to great, and I can apparently turn into a giant monster. What harm can come to us?” You laugh, still drinking. If Grindstone is swayed by your words, his face doesn't convey such.Truth be told, the thought of frittering your time away in this city seems a boring task to you. The rebuilding, the politics, not a part of it sounds in any way appealing. No matter how many cat girls are running about in those simple, light clothes.Clothes...Looking down, the drunkenness creeping against your mind, you take in the state of your own garb. Aside from your axes, sword, belt, and boots, you've only got a pair of trousers in a sorry state of disarray. At least your icesickle is covered, though you really don't care about modesty whatsoever.“How about you, Khepri? Will you remain in your city or come along with me?” You turn to the catgirl and nearly topple off your seat in the process. Your head only stopped against the large, soft breasts of the cat.
>>39228376>Your head only stopped against the large, soft breasts of the cat.
“I am your shadow, master. I will do as bid.” She replies, making no motion to move your head away.“I'm not bidding you anything. I'm asking you.”Khepri takes your head in her hands and turns it just enough to look you in the eye. Though your face still quite submerged in voluptiousness.“Someone has to keep you out of trouble, no?”“Hah!” You deliver an open palmed smack to her plump rear, eliciting a small yelp, “We'll just see about that.”The city now more or less secure, at least enough for tonight, the crews are already getting down to the real task at hand after a good raid. Loot is being dived up, spoils from the FAT mostly, and casks are being opened and drained rapidly. You are far from the only one well on into their cups. Not that it's entirely a single race affair, as the cats begin to warm to your people more and more. Upon learning that your people would rather have them as close knit allies in a friendly city than keeping them in bondage, the cats join earnestly in the affair. Many in fact giggling excitedly as they pull some crewman into dark entryways. Most likely to show them a different door altogether.Though when you hear a warning from Khepri concerning one crewman, you can't help but shout the concern for the man to hear.“That one may not look it, but it's a man!” You cup your hands and shout. The crewman quickly stumbles back out of the doorway, lurching forward to where a few drinking horns remain on a short table. He quickly downs perhaps half of them before shaking his head vigorously, turning back to the door, and downing several more horns before lurching back inside.
>>39228617Oh god. Ahahaha its a trap and hes still going fr it.No rabbits taking part in the fun? Lets go find the bunny shaman.
>>39228617well when you been on a ship for that long you might just go for it.

You grimace to a few other crew, before all of you laugh heartily. The sun is threatening to crest the horizon by the time you think it might finally be best to let your battered body actually relax. Though the ache is gone, you assume that has more to do with the drink than with actual recovery. You had noticed there hadn't been any rabbits present, and only when you step into a dim alley do you at last see any.Still, you came here for a purpose. The eyes in the darkness watch as you relieve yourself against a wall, lolling your head back and groaning a bit. While perhaps not the drunkest you had ever been, you'd say you're a good six out of ten.“None of you felt like a drink?” You ask while continuing the stream, well aware you're at least somewhat in view, but caring little.“We don't bite. Hard.” You smirk, looking over before raising a large horn to your lips yet again.“And we don't trust easily. Besides, I doubt your crews would find any of us as quite so willing as these cats as far as... Sheets are concerned.”You recognize this voice as Balad, and only then do you see her step into the center of the alley, looking perhaps a bit bemused as she stares at you.“Oh I don't know about that,” You leer, “Even if they hadn't all been at sea for so long.”Balad laughs, surprisingly pleasant despite her fierce exterior.“We don't partake in these little flings, I'm afraid. When rabbits mate, we do so for life.”“Again, I'm not really convinced.” You raise your horn to her before tilting it back against your lips.“And we usually give birth to around six. Sometimes ten.”The spray of ale from your lips glistens in the first of the morning light as it is expelled violently.

Thoughts stream through your head. “Still, though... Only six to ten?” You stare at Balad hard as you raise your drink and take several long gulps without breaking eye contact.Lowering the now empty horn, you wipe the foam from your beard with the back of an arm and walk a few steps toward her, completely unaware that you have yet to put frosty away.“I mean, I'd still grab your ears and bang you into the headboard, if you get my meaning.”If Balad did in fact get your meaning, she makes no effort to answer as her eyes remain fixated with wide eyes and flush face at what you assume is your sword belt. Well, it is a pretty nice sword belt, you have to admit.“And if you've never tried ice cream, I've been told more than once that mine is quite addictive. Anywayssshh...” You pivot around on one heel, steady yourself against the wall using your entire body, and begin to walk back out of the alley.“If you change your mind or need to find me, just follow my snores or Khepri's screams. I'm still not sure what will happen first. Maybe both.”Thus you leave the rabbits to themselves in that alley and find yourself in a now much emptied plaza. No matter how hard you squint, you can't make out either Avael or Khepri. But you do see both Grindstones as the aged old captain glances toward you.“Ach, Vetr. Best turn in for the morning at least, rest up. Your pair went off to that tall building, there.” He points.“And you might want to put that thing away...” The old man adds, but this you don't really hear, already well on your way.

Chugging through a rather large vase of some dark, almost black drink you'd snagged on the short walk, you're halfway into it by the time you reach the top of the stairs and kick the door open lightly.Khepri is snoozing soundly, looking quite content atop a large bed covered in that strange fabric you've yet to learn the name of. Though dark curtains over the windows keep out some of the light, the room is only somewhat dimmed at best. You almost don't notice Avael seated on the floor as you stumble inside. In fact, you nearly topple her over as you collide.“Ah.” She says flatly as something prods against her cheek.“Good morning.” You pat the top of the little fox's head and look down at her, hand still clutching the loaf of bread still stuck in her mouth.“Oh, and to you as well.” You wince.

Carefully swinging the vase around so as to not knock the little fennec in the head, you tilt the vase back and take another long drink while Avael seemingly remains frozen in place.“How are you still hungry?” You finally lower the vessel and ask in amusement.“Remove thing from face before talking.” She replies without so much as shifting her eyes to look at you.“Eh?” Another drink, “Oh, that? Don't worry about that.”“Avael very much worries about that.” Her eyes slide ever so slightly over before snapping back front face, pupils wide. You can't help but laugh, your entire body shaking and Avael's head being rocked slightly back and forth.“Do you? Good to know.”Finally sliding the icesickle off of her, you step on past and close the door behind you. The very next thing you look for, you find quickly, and marvel a bit that this room has an actual privy instead of a chamberpot. Though you don't bother closing the door behind you.Though that seems like a good piece of construction, you're a bit less impressed by the floor. The way it shifts under your feet, causing you to stumble along on the walk toward the bed, is something you'll have to inform the cats to work on.Despite knowing you almost certainly need a bath, you nevertheless simply kick off your boots and shrug out of your trousers before turning around to fall backwards onto the bed.Pomf =3

Despite being at least decently inebriated at this point, having downed far too many drinks to recall, you aren't overly slowed down. Thus, having expected as much, you manage the flame attack quite well. The bowl of ice manages to contain the blast entirely, in fact. Though you know that the jut of fire was only a miniscule amount of Avael's true power, as her tail count remains at one and the red ring of death above her head is quite absent. Perhaps she's learning enough to know to stop burning things down. That or she's still too hungry to be at full charge, and when you think about that, you don't doubt it quite as much as you may have at first.“No bullying.” Avael warns again, but so wrapped up is she in that, the little fox never guesses your next move.Rather than continue this little dance of ice and fire, and without waiting for that fat fuck to finish the next book, you leap forward much to the shock of the fennec. Thus before she can so much as begin to draw forth another blast, you're upon her. While she nobly attempts to hold you off, her strength is feeble at best compared to your own brutish musculature. Her arms barely proving a mere speed bump before you've wrapped her in your grip and rolled backwards across the floor toward the bed.Avael shouting in dismay the entire time, upon realizing she isn't about to worm her way free.“Stop!” She pleads, “Why bully?!”You manage to come out of the roll on top, keeping her pinned to the ground by each arm as she glares up.“Why? I don't really know, but I just can't help but bully cute girls.” You smile evilly down at your captive.
>>39230715Oh god, Papa, stop killing my sides.
“C-cute?” She balks, attempting to kick but finding her thrashing of little effect. You lower yourself until your body is pressed against her own, the edges of your lips brushing only ever so softly against one of her large ears.“Cute.” The whisper, ever so gentle.“Hhnn!?” Avael's plump thighs press together, a bead of sweat trickling down to the floor, and she quickly turns her head away.Only you aren't about to let up, nor allow her to escape. Your own inhibitions quite diluted from copious amounts of drinking.Instead, you press closer and slowly lick along the edge of her ear. Though it does seem a bit dusty from the previous day, it isn't enough to make you stop.“Hawa?!” Avael quickly turns her head the other way, eyes clamped shut, her other fluffy ear batting you in the face.“Wahh...” Khepri adds from above you as she watches the sight unfolding on the floor with a hesitant yet curious gaze. Seizing the opportunity presented, you take Avael's other ear between your teeth and give it a small nibble.“Gah!” The fennec's body jolts and her eyes fly open, pupils almost spinning in shock.[ ] Set bully power to maximum[ ] Let up on her and leave Avael with strange thoughts for the remainder of the night[ ] You really ought to clean up those crumbs...[ ] Flame tails are fluffy too, right?[ ] You'd only told Balad to follow Khepri's moans or your snores, right? Didn't mention Avael at all.

Oh shit I finally caught a live thread. After two years of reading your stuff. Shame it's just as I leave for my lectures but hell, I'm happy anyways. Also:>[x] You'd only told Balad to follow Khepri's moans or your snores, right? Didn't mention Avael at all.
Deciding against relenting for tonight, instead you grab Avael quickly around the waist and lift her easily onto the bed. Though you leap up back into position to prevent her escape. Now alongside Khepri as well, you push her down against the sheets and straddle the both of them. Avael looking panicked and in shock, and Khepri seemingly not at all against this turn of events.Pushing them close together, this time you bury your head in both of their ears and let that soft sensation overtake you. Who you're assaulting second to second, even you aren't quite sure. It all blends together into a fluffy blur. You had informed Balad that should she need to seek you out, to just follow either your snores or Khepri's moans. Seeing as how you're not at all ready for sleep at this point, you'll go with the latter.“Nhyaaa, that tickles!” The catgirl's legs thrash against the bed as you blow lightly into her ear.She doesn't complain quite so much as you grab more than a handful of one of those massive breasts tantalizingly out in the open.Avael's chest, or rather her flatness, still quite covered, you do the next best thing. Or perhaps something even greater. And wrap your fingers tightly around part of one of her thighs. At this, the entire body of the fennec jumps upwards in surprise as a soft moan escapes her lips. Which causes both you and Khepri to stop to look at her.Avael claps both free hands over her mouth in palatable panic, apparently just as shocked at herself as you.
I hope she doesn't light the bed on fire.
Until the three of you jolt start upright in shock as the door is noisily pushed open, revealing the curious gaze of Balad.“I was beginning to wonder if you would show up. Bed's big enough for four.” You smile.“Yo. Yeah uhh... You know you've got ants, right?”“What?”Craning your neck you follow her finger and it doesn't take more than a second for you to see the insects crawling along the floor and some even beginning to creep up the wall.Sweet mother of snow, they're the size of your head!“Also is it supposed to be smokey in here? That doesn't really smell like incense to me.” The shaman rabbit adds.Turning your head as your own nose twinges at the smell, you quickly spot the source. Avael's hands still covering her mouth and her eyes clamped shut as your hand squeezes at her thigh, nearly at the danger zone...“So those are actually just fire, huh?” You remark as the sheets begin to smolder more vigorously as the tails come into full bloom.
>>39231396ohh boy i think we might hue here gentlemen.
>>39231396>Sweet mother of snow, they're the size of your head!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWe're gonna need to find a new room.
>>39231396>fire tails are in fact not fluffyWell... fine.
>>39231396>Sweet mother of snow, they're the size of your head!BACK TO THE SHIP SHOULD HAVE LET THIS PLACE BURN.
What if we just try to ignore the ants and continue?
>>39231480You don't ignore ants that big, anon. You just don't do that.
>>39231480Then the ants either take our stuff or drag us back to the nest while we're distracted.
>>39231480could you ignore ants the size of your head.
>>39231480ants try to bite and bully the fox. Since she has the crumbs. They also bite the ice cream machine.
>>39231494>They also bite the ice cream machine.
Quickly releasing your hold on Avael, you and Khepri both snatch at blankets and quickly begin to beat at the flames. At least Avael's tails of fire quickly subside upon you releasing your grip.“Avael not do on purpose!” The fennec wails as she desperately smacks at some of the fire with a pillow.Thankfully Balad seems to have taken it upon herself to start dispatching the ants working their way across the room. Her rock mace squishing them loudly as she drops it again and again against them. Thus by the time the last of the fire is extinguished, there are few ants left for you to dispatch. Though after one sneakily gets its mandibles around one of your big toes to deliver a painful bite, you set your wrath upon them and quickly the remainder are antsickles. Finally realizing the worst has passed, you collapse back on the bed and let out a long sigh. Well at least you can count it a learning experience for next time.“So you're kind of a liar.” Balad notes, and you turn your head toward the rabbit.“No headboard.” She jerks her thumb and grins, “But you were at least right about how to find you.”Avael plants herself stiffly on the bed, looking entirely disheveled, golden curls a mess.“Smell like ant guts.” She wrinkles her nose in annoyance. You sigh and point at the floor, at the few crumbs between pools of ant goo.“I told you, didn't I? That is how you get ants!”
>>39231551It was... Not vore?
>>39231571I don't see any ones rolled anon. Do you?!
>>39231571Do you SEE any ones rolled ya dunce
Rolled 19 (1d20)>>39231597That depends.
>>39231551"Barry is that how you get ants?"
>>39231607That's a nineteen!
>>39231632Nice number recognition anon. You get one gold star
>>39231709FUCK. STILL NEED ANOTHER ONE TO OPEN THE NEXT WORLD!
Blissfully, however, finding a different room doesn't prove at all difficult. At least half the city seems empty, and you wonder if perhaps many of the slave owners had fled in the night as well. Thus the large, plush expanse of a mansion you knock the door down of is quite abandoned. For now, though, you ignore the steaming open bath the size of one of the smaller Frost vessels, and settle for faceplanting some ornate, plush crimson furniture piece.Closing your eyes only results in the world around you spinning, so you move one foot off the bed and plant it firmly on the floor to cease such nonsense.“I don't care what the three of you do, but I'm going to sleep at least until it's dark out again. Just don't burn the place down or leave crumbs out.” You groan, the ache of your body having slowly crept back after the physical ordeal of fire quenching and ant smashing earlier. So quick enough you're snoring loudly and unabashed, head lolled to the side and mouth open.“Well I'd say he's going to be out a while. What do you two want to do?” Balad sets her mace aside and looks about the place.“Avael want a bath. Stepped in ant juice.”“Alright, let's do that, then.” Balad shrugs and quickly begins tugging at her hide clothing.“I don't really do water so well...” Khepri smiles, attempting to step away, “I'm not an angora.”Though if the catgirl thought she would escape, she finds herself sadly mistaken as one of Balad's surprisingly powerful arms stops her, before shoving her backwards and into the deep, warm bath. The shouts and the noise and the splashing were actually enough to rouse you slightly from your sleep, and though you continue to watch through one squinted eye, you make no effort to let on that you're awake. As Balad leaps into the water to stop Khepri from escaping, you can't help but smirk. So unlike the other two, she's a bit fluffy down there too, huh?
And I think I'm going to call it a night there. Seems a good place to wrap up and I'm beat.
>>39231768Thanks for the thread boss. Looking forward to the next.

>>39231768Thanks for the thread papa, fun as always
>>39231853thank you for clarifying
>>39231868I guess it was slightly better than this most recent season, though that isn't really saying much. The baby nonsense is ruining it. I don't want a responsible Archer and a baby-bitchy Lana. I want danger zone, hookers, and Woodhouse.
