Rolled 34 (1d100)Last time on fantastic civ a redo was commenced, reinforcements are on the way, and our HQ is still under assault my bandit forces.Meanwhile there are deep suspicions floating around about our adviser Valeria possibly turning traitor or isn't who she says she is...The Commander is heavily wounded and crippled on the battlefield outside our HQ.One of the barbarian heroes died(dice didn't like that one). While the rest are still in play along with their forces. So our forces try to hang on until help arrives...before its too late to.Sadly there seems to troubles both within our own people and outside them. Both deep and on the surface. What can be done? Will we survive? That has yet to be determined for truth as yet more dangers hang beyond the horizon and while some are already on the way.
Rolled 3 (1d100)>>38449570Now for some appropiate music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ846BmMzgkYou still haz many boons including art ones. Also get an additional fate point due to problems on my end...the answer to which continues to elude me. So this should make amends for it as initially promised.
>>38449642I believe that puts us at 3 fate points now.3 units holy hand grenades.3 units instant cash infusion.5 units of cash next thread.3 units of holy gas instant transmission.5 units of holy gas next thread.112 cash infusion tab. ( Think some cash was used to pay mercs.)6 boons.4 of them are survivor thread boons.1 of the thread survivor boons is a boon+.1 major boon.1 pic boon(you have yet to earn an art boon). For other stuff >http://pastebin.com/ACzYYtBZ
>>38449642>>38449995HOLD UPI'm almost finished with that big list of every thread so far, including the hero ones, organized by date and time.
Rolled 7 (1d100)>>38449995THat list is actually out of date. You actually had burned through a chunk of the boons and fate points. You also gained 3 art boons(more supposedly on the way). The other items have arrived already that were delayed purchase.>>38450023*begins to sweat* INCLUDING the discussion threads?
>>38450023Wut? You can't be serious.. *unzips jeans*
>>38450063Yes. As well as the Borderlands Hero QuestGimme like one more hour.
Rolled 9 (1d100)>>38450122Eh just ignore that one...please. Quests don't really count for shit.also I swear to fucking god if you managed to find one of my earlier attempts...
>>38450063Okay so those were counted, I was wondering why people keep acting like we had more boons. So that would make it no boons and the gain from the incoming art as our only boons. It was -2 points from the drinking event and I thought we had 4 at the time. >>38450023Nice.>>38450122If we have to wait an hour I think we can still talk and what not.
>>38450159How much for 1 unit of real mustard gas?
>>38449642Hmm, Genie only ever pulls out music like this when civs die.
>>38450159One of your earlier attempts...?Say, you didn't happen to run a fantasy civ quest on /b/ that dragged over into /tg/ once, did you?Played as demons, encountered some undead and elves. Won out against a Necromancer's siege and then piddled around for a bit because everyone went to sleep.
Rolled 71 (1d100)>>38450598Ah no my official first attempt was with the Memor.Which had some major overhauls throughout the course of it. I ended up hybridizing it twice and then modifying into its own thing that became my system.>>38450552nah not always. Its just hard to find fitting music is all...except for pirates.I haz all the pirate music.
Rolled 32 (1d100)>>38450640That was for a civ though. I had tried a few quests before that which failed...That was when I first acquired the infamous dice goddess....she is quite the stalker anons.Seriously though that cunt always manages to find me.>>38450640hm yes my pirate music is the best...one of these times when I need to take a break again I am gonna run a pirate quest or something.
>>38450640Alright, I just remembered it from shortly before you started the Memor and it seemed quite similar to your style so I figured I'd ask.
>>38450724Any chance you're willing to tell us what quests?
Rolled 100 (1d100)>>38450857Not a chance in hell.1 ended in player while the other...to this day I have NEVER seen the dice hate a fucking GM that much or love the players that much in that regard.Like holy shit that MC could of taken on a god and WIN tier.It ended up dying because I simply couldn't handle it. Basically I was trapped between over compensating and player boredom so it died.
Rolled 67 (1d100)>>38450952...see dice goddess agrees completely.Especially considering she was the cunt who saw it through also because she had a fuck huge crush on the MC or something.
NEARLY DONE, GIMME A MOMENT
Rolled 65 (1d100)>>38450952>>38450973Anyway what is the plan?>>38450975*begins to sweat bullets*Oh no...
Rolled 99 (1d100)>>38450995...you can't be serious dice goddess. You want him back don't you?
>>384509521 ended in player...? What?
Rolled 36 (1d100)>>38451023AHH ITS HAPPENING AGAIN.I REFUSE DICE GODDESS!I am NOT giving you your shlicking fuel back.nuhuh not gonna happen.>>38451056ah meant MC death.
Rolled 6 (1d100)>>38451090...so you really want to place this game dice goddess? You know who will win?I will. For only I can make it happen.Sure you can fuck with dice and are one hell of a stalker but that is about it.This will be mine win goddess.Sure you can work with the players but they wont get you what or want.Or you could back me but that wouldn't work either.Tis your loss.So sure you can keep this chain going...but it will be broken dice goddess.and all for what hm?Nothing. Not a single thing.hm...is attached to two not 3 different things.I wonder which will win in the end hah?argh gonna have to keep this up till its settled and broken.
Any ways while we are waiting we can talk plans. We have it simple right now. We get the hero's group back in to heal and the rest defend. We got an enemy hero down and I think 3 more to go.The should we tell the holy warriors all our info on the undead or should we hold out and hope we don't get killed by the banshees? We are probably on thin ice with the undead in the area because of our actions as of late.
>>38451364Just follow the armors advice I'd say, but we can be smarter about it. Just reached the end of the HAX civ and should have everything compiled soon
Rolled 47 (1d100)>>38451264*begins to sweat even more profusely*Fucking hell I really need to break this damned combo...>>38451557Be aware the armor is limited by the voice's experiences. They only know what they know and not much else.....making my eye twitch anon.Just about all those remaining threads are archived...hence why I included the request for the lost threads and unarchived discussion pieces. They all need to be live by the way.>>38451364oh you no idea anon...
>>38451620I can lay down a plan I just wanted to know if we, as group, want to go full crusade or take our chances with the undead that will probably have it out for us.
>>38451264Another pic of the prophet. Still not done but it's another progress pic
Rolled 68 (1d100)>>38451620ho...how...how in the hell.I...I sorta want to say bullshit but then again she has figured out my method before.Fuck me.>>38451264I got fucking played again god fucking damn it.I am crying and laughing at the same time right nows. That was Genie's first attempt and its how i got stuck with a certain twisted dice goddess...all started from there that point.I had given up on giving it justice...because simply put that shit was just insane....not sure if i can manage it. Was different verse and wouldn't make much sense...hm.>>38451688then why don't you lay it out and see what the other anons think?
>>38451912I know a super boon can break plot armor, by can it break the power of dice? Could it make it so that other factions can't get positive dice combos more than 3 rolls long? And combo longer than that grants a negative effect on the faction. How much dose a super boon cost?
Rolled 65 (1d100)>>38451912Because one action would just be send envoy to them and the rest would be something I posted last thread. Shown below vvv, I just need to know if I should mod it or not. If we team up with the holy people we should do it now and get the help sooner. Granted two actions on bandit defending would help it greatly.>A1 + 2Keep on deafening the walls. Magi spam those magic attack and give the commander some covering fire. Demostructor join the magi with showing them how a boom bang can top magic.>WarCommander pull back and use that stealth skill. Ashly and ted can pull a combo to make the forest help them.Medics/clerics ready to heal the wounded.
Rolled 6 (1d100)>>38451912Is it too late to buy the make a portal key with unlimited uses? How much would I thing of musterd gas or something like it cost? Did you see this new prophet pic?>>38451802
>>38451620"They only know what they know and not much else."They ought to know quite a bit though, considering they were each legendary at war and conquered this province.
Rolled 100 (1d100)>>38451912What's up with the super soldiers, do the my still have the thing where they are bound to the canander on sight?
>>38452293I say this crit makes them all show up no end kick the barbarians ass.
Rolled 32 (1d100)>>38452281Not necessarily. Each of them did their own thing there is no certainty that every one of them conquered the same province much less this particular one.>>38452293Yes but they're engaged with undead. At least those that are left...and not all of them were super soldiers to start.>>38452188Eh if you got the cash.Alchemical weapons are available in game.yes and you got a pic boon for it. btw the prophet's staff is made of purely crystal as I mentioned before.>>38452328You'll see...

ITS DONEI FINALLY DIDEVERY SINGLE CIV COMPILED AND THE HERO CIVS AND THE DISCUSSION THREADS!https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ufBecUILGaUawnuV62JSrMBHDdhisZF1VqIP1wr90T4/edit?usp=sharing
Rolled 76 (1d100)>>38452369What if they kite the undead in to attacking the barbarians?
>>38452412>>38452369Look genie look!
Rolled 89 (1d100)>>38452412>tfw i don't got a fitting reaction pic.AAHHH-Super boon...acquired *sniffle sniffle*.mein gott can't believe a anon actually went through with it...dear lord have mercy upon us all(especially me).>>38452417You'll see.
>>38452507AND NOW GREAT GENIEWITH THIS SUPER BOONI WISH THAT ALL THREATS TO OUR CIV TO BE. . . .REVEALED!With the most Detailed description that can be given to each (i.e. why are they threatening to us, what are they threatening for, how the threat should be dealt with, etc.)
Rolled 60 (1d100)>>38452507...two combo chains.a super boon was acquired from compilation......this this is just too fucking much.My mind..is melting....MELTING...
>>38452580>>38452507Ah wait, I have a fluff post coming in mind.
>>38452594If this overwhelms you that just wait for when you see some of the other things I have going on.
Rolled 81 (1d100)>>38452703Anon...you don't want to see what happens when that shit goes down.Last time ended up with a flying rape train god.
The Prophet held the cloth, as he polished the golden vessel in his hand.>Quit it>NoHe continued to polish it over and over, seeing how it shone and shimmered in the candlelight>Quit it!>No,He had been at this for hours now"GRAAAAAH"A burst of smoke appeared from the lamp with lights and sparks pouring forth, as the prophet merely watched with a smile. Above the smoke a woman appeared dressed in a middle astern belly dancer outfit, with gold and silk adorned on her body."I knew you'd give in. That's how you fooled everyone didn't you? They'd all rub three times, maybe ten, but you just had to hide and pretend you weren't there until they went away.""How did you know!?""When I heard that Richard had a Djinn as an adviser, I knew right away he'd never give that up.""Hmph, so you found me and dragged me outta my lamp. What do you want?""I want my wish of course!""Alright, what'll it be then? A pile of gold, a pretty woman to warm your bed, a pretty face to keep a pretty woman?""Information""You dragged me out of my sleep after I retired from advising for information? You're the mind reader.""There are some things even beyond my sight, and the lack of my people's hivemind hasn't helped.""Fine then. . .what do you want?""Alright, I can wish for absolutely anything right?""Yes, anything, as long as it's only one thing.""And I can ask you in however way I want yes?""Yes. . .get on with it."Suddenly the Prophet stared at the Spirit, and spoke to her with his mind. He didn't speak with words no, for words have their limit. He spoke in pure though and logic, in the most efficient manner as possible to translate an idea.A single idea.An idea that encompassed anything, and everything, into one nice little clause. The genie Grimaced as she realized what he was asking for. . .everything."Oh no. . ."Oh yes,"
Rolled 34 (1d100)>>38452838You did not state what your request is anon.A super boon may either be used to provide ALL the info on ONE threat(all their defenses to prevent espionage are instantly and overwhelming overridden)OR give a list of threats according to their current danger level. This is what i stated last time anyway.
Rolled 80 (1d100)>>38452781No no this is good kind of thing. The kind of thing that might make you cry tears of joy and grant another super boon.
>>38452955Which would be cheaper to buy?The Super Boon to fully reveal the Civ Ending threat + Other Boons to reveal the Major onesOr reveal All threats and then pierce the espionage defenses with boons?
Rolled 18 (1d100)>>38452964Do you WANT another Flying Train God made of RAPE?Personally not really all that fond of the sanity damage i took from that...>>38452984Depends on how you want to go about it and the boons you are willing to use up.
Rolled 11 (1d100)>>38452955What if we used the super boon and the major boon to get a list of all threats and a brief 1 paragraph description of the top 10?
I vote reveal all threats, we can use the Major Boon + padding to pierce the big one.
Rolled 94 (1d100)>>38452955What if we use the super, major, and the 4 art boons on getting a full and detailed list of civ threats? Whoukd that work?
Rolled 53 (1d100)>>38453124Not to perfection no.You have to be aware that the Super boon is the only tier capable of overrides. So no matter what you use they wont be able to ever quite compare to it in terms of affect.
>>38453164In that regard it would be best to completely ovveride the one with the most barriers and things to be ovveride.>>38453164same person >>38453122 but still voting that we use the Super on fully overriding the Big Bad and knowing every single thing about it, and also real time monitoring of activity and movement
Rolled 79 (1d100)>>38453164What if we use boons to add to the super boon to make an even greater one. Or combine all the boons we have to make another super boon and use both of them for a full and detailed list.A super boon should give us a full list, the other boons are used to add more and more detail to the things listed. Only 2 supers can give a full and completely detailed list, but but super + other boons will give a full list with details according to the power of the other boons used.
Rolled 52 (1d100)Action 1 + 2 + War ActionTed, Ashley, we need to distract their Druids. When their druids are facing off our forces, I want you to activate [Tree Time] and [Awestruck Aroma] to do the same thing on the otherside where the druids aren't. Make them have to move all the way across the battlefield where our Katonines can cut them to shreds.Richard, Evan, I need you to hunt down that Sacred Stalker. Use [Identify] to Target him and [Stand Still] to pin him down and take him out with some of our Heavy Fighters.Dwarven Archers and Shooters, take down those war beasts and Beastmasters, Aim for the head!Prophet of Fate, you lead the mages and the wizards we've got to beat their Mad Magi and their Shamans do whatever you can to befuddle and remove their concentration we need to stop their magic from hurting our troops. Focus magic on magic!Everyone else HOLD THE LINE. Oozes up front with Heavies and Puppets behind and Levvies in spears, Dwarves defend the walls and repair the defenses we have to buy time.
Rolled 80 (1d100)>>38453294The boons consumed over all affect will determine what happens. Doesn't matter what quality or how many you use they will act as they will. You can combine boons but that will only work to do their own thing individually alone and then together. The exception being if you burn them all on the same exact thing in which case they will gain a stacking bonus making possible or them to act as a stronger boon then they actually are.
>>38453411Okay Genie, so is>Super Boon for Total Piercing of Biggest threatand>List of every other major threat with Major Boonan acceptable purchase?
>>38452838Could we use the super boon to give the prophet an actual wish? What are the limits of such a wish?
>>38453411. . .is it possible to use the Super Boon to make that Biggest threat never be a threat to us?
>>38453436Might want to rephrase that. Be more exact. No room for misunderstanding.
Rolled 6 (1d100)>>38453436Major boon is uable to create a full list based off threat range. In other words it WILL be a list but it WONT tell you which is the greater danger or any detailed info.Super boons will give you a precise list based off how dangerous they are.>>38453469It is indeed depending on how you go about it you can wipe out entire factions.Basically think wrath of god tier catastrophic. It WILL hurt like HELL no matter HOW big or STRONG your faction is.
>>38453520Is the super boon strong enuf to bind the big civ kill threat to the generals will? Make it loyal to us?
>>38453568>>38453520I'd like to know this too.
Rolled 55 (1d100)>>38453568...depends really on how well you roll. They WILL lose their plot armor given the attempt though so it will be easier. If its not armored it would be instant affect while everything else is a chance.
Guys guys.Let's just spend the Major Boon to know all our threats first. When we know the threats we can then organize them and figure out what to do with them best. That's my vote.
>>38453520Here is another pic of the prophet. That makes 5 so far. If all 5 art boons are combined how strong would it be?
>>38453643>...depends really on how well you rollCould we. . .fatepoint that roll?
Rolled 9 (1d100)>>38453655How much info would be on a threat list? Would it be just a list of faction names? Because that is not that useful. We need some details with the list.
Rolled 2 (1d100)>>38453739Not as effective as crit failure but sure.>>38453753That is what all that major boon will offer.Super boon will provide a better listing depending on threat range.Detailed info will not be provided.
>>38453643If we get the thing on our side could we keep it a secret?
>>38453777Could we do this,Use the major boon and all are boons to give a list of civ threats organized in to tears of how threatening they are and with 1 sentence of detail for each thing?
>>38453777Is there any way to get info on the big bad with out using the super?
>>38453777If we get a list of faction names with the Major Boon, how much will it cost to get those names organized by Danger Level?
Rolled 10 (1d100)>>38453391Also backing
Rolled 43 (1d100)>>38453838Other boons wont be entirely honest on how actual threating they are only what it APPEARS or indicates depending on boon strength.in other words it may not be entirely reliable.Only super boons is super reliable and accurate on that front without any possible degree of failure. So we gonna get this shit show on the road or what? Its been hours.>>38453963Yeah by burning other boons just be aware that they wont be as reliable.>>38454078Other boons which may not be as accurate.
Rolled 97 (1d100)>>38454125Ok, I vote that we use the 5 art boons to get info on the biggest civ threat. With all 5 stacking they should provide suffishant info.We use the major boon to get the list of all civ threats.
>>38454125I think Genie we're still not sure what's the best bang for our buck. Rrrgh so many unknowns.
Rolled 53 (1d100)>>38454256K
Rolled 12 (1d100)>>38453391Don't forget to get the general out of combat and into the keep for healing.
Rolled 77 (1d100)>>38454262then why not ask?I have told you before on what is good or not.
>>38454294Okay give us a good idea on how to spend our boons please.
Rolled 36 (1d100)>>38453391Vote I guess. Might want to hold off tell we get the info from the boons tho
Rolled 11 (1d100)>>38454289You sure your general can survive that or that they wont get da way?
Rolled 96 (1d100)>>38454335WAITI FORGOT.Use the KEY DOOR THAT WE HAVE to open a door to the tunnel networks our General can escape too, and then seal the door behind him.
Rolled 26 (1d100)>>38454335Well he needs to get safe and heal somehow.
>>38454367Are the tunnels really any safer?
Rolled 61 (1d100)>>38454367That should work right? I support it.
>>38454432They're our tunnels, the ones we built up in the north along with the defenses.I really feel like Genie is rushing us, we're not going to come up with a good plan if we're rushed
>>38454335"Armor how do we get our General to escape?"
Rolled 91 (1d100)>>38453391Ashley and Ted dispatched. They have activated their abilities. The affect sure enough forces them towards the katonines with ease and they without a clue. They proceed to do battle with the monster unit in question.Meanwhile heroes dispatched to take on the stalker. Unfortunately while they were able to locate and slow the hero down they have yet to manage to slay it.Unfortunately our attempts to attack the war beasts and their masters were not as affetive. The beasts were either able to easily shrug off the attacks or dodge them. While we were able to nail a few beastmasters they were able to quickly adjust by using their critters to cover for them. Our forces attempt to do battle with their mad magi and shamans...at first it goes well as seemingly the magi were being blocked. Unfortunately it turned out they were actually supporting their shaman allies to devastating effect.MAD TRIPLE TIME.DOUBLE UP.COUNT COMBO.Shamans have unleashed the following buffs+, Healing+, Summoning+, Debuff+, Recover+, and finally Offensive+ all under a MAD MAGIC affect!Even the Prophet himself was gradually being pushed back.Enemy heroic spawn detected.Enemy heroic spawn detected. Now time for the enemies turn...
Rolled 30 (1d100)>>38454465I meant for your boon affects anon nothing more.>>38454588...Ouch.Well at least the reinforcements showed up...rolling for them now btw.
Rolled 96 (1d100)>>38454588Enemy ability activated. This is MADNESS!Super Spirit Summons."By the Honor of the Horde PREPARE FOR BATTLE!"-----"Hm would would seem using that wild magic was the right thing to do time to add something else into the mix."heroic ability activatedWillful WildSynergy bonuses detected...The following have been summoned.Spirits of the ElementsSpirits of War.Spirits of Land.Spirits of Dead.Spirits of Ancestors.Temporary heroic tier spirits have joined the battlefield.REINFORCEMENTS have arrived!however the enemy seems to be unbothered and slowly sally forth without much panic spreading before charging at the reinforcements.Meanwhile the very lands and wilderness seemingly go mad interrupting the reinforcements charge.Spirits have commenced with using their powers...the dead are rising up, magic is being sent flying, and they join the battlefield on the enemy's side.Heroic spirit summon has unleashed the following abilitySoaring Spirits.Enemy forces are enjoying stacked synergy...Allied forces are suffering penalizing stack synergy meanwhile...WARNINGThe enemy is suffering from MADNESS!
Rolled 83 (1d100)>>38454777Meanwhile on the battlefield an undead known as Wuz Vaerog notices something is deeply wrong."...we must retreat immidiately.""What why dat?"In response the very land itself begans to recoil as spirits starting errupting and appearing from everywhere."Oh shit...how the hell is dere wait this scene...""Aye its MAD Magic gone well for the enemy.""Oh shit can we survive much less win Vaerog?""...maybe but it will be costly. On the plus side the enemy is cursed to temporary insanity.""That isn't really all tha comforting.""I know which is why we are withdrawing.""About the General?""The reinforcements are heading right towards him. We will get slaughtered if we stay here.""Why is that?""Spirit magic.""...yeah there ARE an awful lot of spirits...""We are pulling back the knights as well hopefully we get get out of the mad wild landscape intact.""That ain't looking to likely...everything is sorta going to hell in a handbasket.""Aye i was expecting that to happen once the holy host and the undead really start go at it, but apparently it started early instead."
Rolled 30 (1d100)>>38454853"What about the other forces Vaerog? They ain't got magic support unlike the HQ..."With that Vaerog looks at the field of his allied forces entrenched with the enemy and getting blasted by the magic along with the spirits rising up among them."They are already dead. Unlike them we got a little bit of time if we can use it right we can make it out of here.""THey wont though?""Living are extra squeshy they would of stood a chance if they had magic support among them...but even then that would only be but a chance however remote.""We still got that remote chance so for now we run and hope."So the undead and knights attempted to withdraw....trying to get past the maddened barbarians, summoned spirits, and the very land gone wild against them.Meanwhile else where the reinforcements attempt to charge through this wild landscape while the maddened barbarians charged right back at them, along with the a sea of spirits heading right towards them. There the allies clashed with the barbarian forces desperately trying to fight their way to HQ and commander.Meanwhile the commander's forces on the ground were swiftly overwhelmed by the sea of spirits that flowed along with the twisting mad wild lands. All were acting with an usual force and intensity...Meanwhile in a tower overlooking the battlefield over the seemingly insane barbarians happily charging right back at an enemy that severely outmatched them while continueing their assualt. It should of ended most badly for them...but was not so.1 they were insane.2 the very land worked for them.3 a sea of spirits came with forward like a tide.Valeria looked upon the landscape...and noted that there was but one island of calm sanity in that sea of madness and wild action. There that island was focused around the wounded and crippled commander.Despite being disgustingly outmatched instead of trying to escape and dying a horrible death his remaining forces instead...
>>38454853Would the major boon be enuf to turn the barbarians madness agenst them? And make them attack themselves?
Rolled 59 (1d100)>>38455051Well instead they fought to their last breath trying to protect him and buying time for aid to arrive.Even as they fell their allies would slice about their former comrades to prevent them from arising as a foe all the while trying to hold off the tides of a sea of spirits.Problem is that tide was flowing everywhere...even towards the HQ.Valeria thought they MIGHT be able to hold out against them...until she noticed a massive explosions of magic and MUCH stronger spirits arose.Worst yet the madness also seemed to be affecting the spirits as they spilled over everywhere as a tide. The dead weren't even allowed to hit the ground before they rose up as possessed corpses.Normally she figured that would be okay...except for the fact that these heroic spirits were not driven to madness unlike their lesser brethren. Instead they coolly looked at the battlefield examining before unleashing their power and prioritized what they were gonna do. With that the heroic spirits split up.With that Valeria's started to run.If the reinforcements were unable to breakthrough in time they would all be lost...even now 'her' own forces were withdrawing from the battle with all haste.Wuz Vaerog certainly knew his shit...he figured it out even before she did and due to that he may very well getaway in time thanks to the time saved.-----In the wild landscape entrenched in madness...the reinforcements desperately fought on.Alas it would seem they were not going to make it in time. And so they hatched a plan reeking of desperation...desperately hoping they would make it in time.
Rolled 83 (1d100)>>38455246On the other hand she might not be so lucky considering the massive pile up of spirits against the walls and the mad sparking of wards before they started exploding...and the spirits spilled over it howling in gleeful madness. Despite the massive cassualties they suffered from the pile up and forcefully overwhelming the wards despite the damage/pain they felt.Due to their madness they simply didn't care.----Meanwhile in a battlefield two cousins were forced to fight back to back desperately trying to hold out."...Cousin I don't think we are gonna make it.""Agreed cousin.""You know...when I thought to die I was very sad over my failures but worse of all was me not being able to see my family again.""...""So for that thank you cousin but I am sad that you will be going down with me.""Well cousin Richard at least we wont be dying alone and we got to see family."With that was his last words from his mouth as abruptly the spirits moved out of the way before a heroic spirit who despite their madness knew better to get in the way as it headed for them."...we cousin I guess this is the end.""Indeed cousin I merely ashamed i couldn't continue my work.""And I wish I could of given my report the Commander if he survives." They both glanced over and noticed a heroic spirit was also heading towards their crippled and severly wounded commander to finish the job."Report has critical info huh?""Indeed.""So cousin why don't we take some sons of bitches with us and make sure it gets there?"With that the two cousins charged their last at the heroic summoned spirit.----Some time later when the reinforcements make their way to a surprisingly clear area of corpses...there they noted the corpses of two men who managed not only managed to both slay countless barbarians and spirits but also dragged a heroic spirit with them.
Rolled 98 (1d100)So anons are you gonna spend those boons for info or not if so how so?Meanwhile I am gonna continue writing.
>>38455468Some of us are worried these barbarians are going to kill us before we even have a use for info, and are debating our courses of action pending on the results. Info is no good if we have a knife at our throats.I can't believe we were expected to face this without a ton of reinforcements. . .
Rolled 50 (1d100)>>38455494Dice suddenly decided to hate you.also magic was being active though it got dialed up to 11 thanks to MADNESS....i am actually enjoying showing off just how big a difference magic can make. Also when mad goes right.Seriously though the fight shouldn't have nearly been this bad but there you go.
It's going to really suck if we have to use the Super Boon to save our lives today from a minor threat and not even direct it against the real big threat>>38455514Madness is still dangerous even when done right no?
Rolled 79 (1d100)>>38455521It is indeed. If you haven't noticed the barbarians and spirits both have gone utterly insane. They are unable to carry out orders or anything. They are just striking out at whatever is in reach. They even would of turned on themselves if it wasn't for a heroic ability and would of gotten slaughtered if it wasn't for another despite the bonuses.Problem is synergy, stacks, and combos can make a pretty fuck huge bonuses.
>>38455567I vote to spend a Major Boon to Up the Insanity to breaking point and make them turn on each other and away from us.
Rolled 56 (1d100)>>38455567>>38455602Yeah, whatever they're using to keep their insanity in check to fight us and not each other?Reverse it. Make them fight each other and NOT us.Make them go the way of the Gearheads
Rolled 15 (1d100)>>38455685Vote
Rolled 30 (1d100)>>38455434Meanwhile in the Temporary island of order among the sea of madness...was broken. As a large titanic spirit forced its why through howling in a strange tongue at the commander as it approached."Normally dear commander such a summons would only incur one of us...but thanks to certain transgressions and privileges more then one of us has heeded this call.""Your dream will die with you commander in your foolishness you and those who believed you shall suffer. You may be a living legacy but that wont protect you from what is coming."With that the spirit swipes away the last of the Commander's bodyguards with a single blow there it looked down at the commander and prepared the final blow."You and yours will suffer for seeking to break the convent commander."Just as it was about to land though the spirit abruptly stopped and shrieked in agony. As seemingly from nowhere the ground erupted...and things rose up from it.One of those things had impaled the spirit with its fist before looking down and said."Greetings commander it is good that I am not too late. Do not worry under my care you shall be safe for this is precisely what I was made for," with that the super soldier prepared to hold of the tides themselves. The spirit meanwhile while fading away shrieked "This isn't over General and you along with those follow your folly WILL suffer," with those last words the spirit was banished back to whence it came. With that the Commander could merely groan and looked towards his HQ as it was being overwhelmed and groan.------Meanwhile the certain Fae and monsters couldn't help but enjoy the mess and chaos.------After some time the reinforcements managed to eventually fight their way to the Commander. There they found him atop a hill of corpses and decaying spirits. Standing near him protecting him was a peculiar super soldier...who looked around with sorrow filled eyes dawning with the realization that he...was the only one of his kind left.
Rolled 79 (1d100)>>38455859After awhile the reinforcements DID manage to fight their way to the HQ...only to find a smouldering wreck covered in fields and corpses. Despite the seeming lack of hope they ventured on hoping to find some survivors...and that they did.Despite finding many locations of last stands and going deeper and deeper. Eventually they managed to find one that successfully managed to hold out. There in a deep part of a dungeon stood blinking runes, wary dwarfs, the remaining sorry excuses for guard, and behind them the huddles masses of civilians. Here had been their final stand and here they successfully managed to hold out.Despite the seeming evidence of no survivors consideing after their rampage inside the spirits and barbarians spilled back out to charge. Despite the slow going of the reinforcements they had actually made it just in the nick of time.As for the barbarians? In their madness and due to the priorities of the reinforcements with their splitting they were able to breakthrough their lines and disappear. As for the other heroic spirits one who attacked the HQ got blown to hell by a genius plan involving a certain dwarf and architect which had other consequences besides. The super soldiers and 'experiments' despite their exhaustion were picked off one by one. Despite being a favorite target they managed to hold the line despite the multiple heroics sent against them.Sadly only one of their number managed to survive until the bitter end.-----During their march the reinforcements when striding through the last stand of the two cousins and their brutal remains...was abruptly grabbed by the foot.Looking down in shock one of the cousins was despite his condition still alive albeit barely and with his last words."Give this to...mission critical...info...commander." With his last words the cousin drew his last breath as the soldier knelt down to grab the bloody yet miraculously intact dossier.
>>38456085I would be mad that the Barbarians got away, but thinking on it we were lucky just to have survived. There was no way to win this battle without the entirety of the north and south bearing down to help us.5 enemy heroes all combat oriented and level 3 each with their own specific elite guard. We still got one of their heroes and lived, I'd call that a bargain.
Rolled 36 (1d100)>>38456085What do?By the way all your forces who were sent to attack led by the commander besides the undead and knights have all perished. The only troops who survived the HQ falling are the following.Runesmiths.Clerics.Dwarven Soldiers.Levies.Civilians.The Fae and monsters were however eventually found.Though they were admittedly worst to wear. The reinforcements have also arrived.Your heroes of the following have deceased. The Cousins.>>38456183It would of been worse if their heroes weren't also afflicted by mad which made it hard for them to use their powers.also they couldn't recieve or take orders. The only reason they broke through was due to the reinforcements having other priorities. If that wasn't so there wouldn't have been any survivors.Sorry about how that ended...shouldn't have been so hard but alas the dice had other plans.
>>38456242WowFucking really? The UNDEAD and the FAE survived?I would have rather had them die and everyone else live, that is completely the opposite of what I had hoped for. . . we even put those fuckers on the frontline too.
>>38456242Read what's in the dossier.>>38456242And to think these were just Barbarians. I shudder to think what the big bad is like.
>>38456301Yeah, read the thing.
Rolled 10 (1d100)>>38456242Those yet to be found are those who left the battlefield and Valeria. They are still missing. As for a certain dossier...and when the cousins rooms were searched some interesting stuff was discovered.1 Richard apparently had been a busy little bee working internal affairs.2 his cousin was working external affairs. They despite their appearances have both been VERY busy.Richard managed to ease relations between groups while rooting out trouble makers with someone known as 'lovely ass'. Its thanks to him and this 'lovely ass' that no trouble occured and more importantly no internal info was leaked.ever. Not a single speck of info escaped and 'spies', assassins, and other 'troublemakers' had a bad habit of never making it through.Apparently in his memoirs he makes assurances that even with him gone info shouldn't be leaked but expect some additional internal strain. Mostly due to him being the 'face' of the team while 'lovely ass' was the dagger. With him gone things will be more lop sided and strained. however in the dossier it informs you that 'lovely ass' will keep up the work...and deeper in it offers a damning report from 'lovely ass'....the report contained 'acquired' info from those dealt by this codename 'lovely ass' and none of it was good.>>38456301Meanwhile the dossier besides detailed information including a report from codename 'lovely ass' there was some damning info from 'external affairs' cousin. His info...was amazing. He not only mapped out the locations of major threats and 'interests' he even managed to track down a number of powerful forces and factions along with some info of them. The info is the following:Mountains: Dwarf holds, toughened mercs, and beyond them passes of kingdoms are neutral except for the problem of monsters in mountains.Hills: overridden with barbarians best beware. They trade with the dwarfs in mountains for gear and raid happily. Detected monster masters among them.
>>38456461Shite, richard died?Oh shit. OH SHIT
>>38456461GENIEWe can't lose Richard, he was our best persuasive Hero and was the Boon upgraded one.His cousin in revelation revealed to be just as useful. Can we fatepoint them to have survived?
Rolled 52 (1d100)>>38456461Mountains: noticed high elven concentrations, wasn't worried but also encountered dragons. Even worst found some countries deeper in. Here they ship out both mercs and raiders. Major source of troops from lake town and scary ass raiders commonly mistaken for barbarians. Beware those fucking 'bandits' from them.>HillsThis place is ruled by savages. This would be the norm bu they got some good deals in the mountain and worst yet they are often used as a 'cover'. Normally wouldn't be too bad but I have confirmed the rumors of monster masters. They are real and the few passes in the mountains are only open thanks to the dwarfs.Lakes: Good news is they got excellent trade, bad news is they are swimming in mercs and bandits. Even worst i have heard rumors from them...that there is another legendary legacy on the move from this part of the area. Sadly I was unable to confirm which one but I WAS able to confirm there is one besides the general who also woke up.South: Typical warring kingdoms lots of undead lurking but not so much monsters due to them keeping em down. Not much to say besides the scary concentrations of them...and unlike up north these ones aren't sleepy.West: ...no good news except for the one known as little lady is the only friend you got in this neck of the woods. An old friend of General is here and making a move soon. The vampires are angry and Banshee is pissed. In other words the undead here are the move.Normally wouldn't be too bad except that i dug around among the monsters...a certain warlord is teaming up with the monsters and undead while bringing in outside help.Don't know how but it would appear this warlord as it good with the undead and got himself a monster master.besides the movment of other factions i have other critical info regarding major powers who aren't factions. In the homeland around General the place was once active...but now that it isn't the undead here went to sleep.
>>38456594>Waiting for more headache material.
Rolled 51 (1d100)>>38456594With the elves getting their ass kicked the monsters also calmed down and the bandits found better looting elsewhere. That has all changed. The undead have been woke up and warlord has already scouted out our forces. They plan to strike hard and fast. From what I can understand this warlord is no slouch and an old enemy of general.Normally it works like this in the cycle. In 'civilzed' turf wars between kingdoms and undead awake. In 'wild' lands you got savages and monsters with undead asleep.bandits are active in both. The things regularly cycle between those two.NOw i did some flying and moving underground.here is what I found. In the skies you got flying monsters and the usual pretty empty up there as usual.Problem is underground. There despite the countless ruins and underground monsters are the sleeping undead.During the cycle when things change to shift the things that aren't active? They tend to actually be the strongest yet laziest.Problem is when you wake them up. So all the undead there...have awoken and are more or kinda angry.Even worst we called down a holy host on their ass so they are PISSED.And these ones...they aren't weak. They are old, clever, and smart.Undead don't get old without being strong and unlike their youngers they are calmer so wont be proven to typical mistakes. This region WAS one that was being converted to wild lands but got interrupted. Hence all the ruins and relatively sleepy undead....its because they were starting to enter a deep slumber as the monsters and savages encroached. We sorta fucked things up with all the large and loud booms. They are pissed because of Holy Hosts they wont be able to afford to sleep it off because now the Holy Hosts no their shit.As for other powers besides the factions...these ones you need to watch out for.In the North: Dragons, Monster MastersEast: Legendary Legacy, misc.South: Monsters, UndeadWest: Monsters, undead, and old 'friends'
>>38456815Does he say anything about anything directly under us?
Rolled 1 (1d100)>>38456815I got asked by 'lovely ass' to investigate beyond the woods and check out relations. So I did.And here it is.They remember and are still after him. Even worst they have spread word its why General had to settle in nowhere. Normally this wouldn't be a problem until stuff got settled but during my travels...well here it is.Agreements went down with the dwarfs and elves towards the Holy Host.WHO by the way plans to commence a FUCK huge PURGE.Due to your central location...they plan to set up here as they expect the heaviest fighting will be here. They are 'mostly' right but this is only true once they get underground. They are expecting a HARD ass fight and for good reason. They know the undead here are 'sleepy' and so they aren't hestitating to bring out the big guns.Naturally the undead aren't either.Their deal with the dwarfs is to strike up north and supply deal. The elves pact in exchange for their aide....they must help them with the forest to the west.I asked Wuz Vaerog about what the undead will be up to....son of a bitch actually smiled at me(which he never does) before explaining the undead will do the following.1 organize2 prove3 playThe undead are hooking up with each other and the older undead plan to have the younger undead 'prove' themselves. Then they 'play'. According to him the planning is already underway and messengers have been sent.Shit is gonna hit the fan like you wouldn't belief the the OLD fuckers apparently see this entire affair as a game. The youngers however are the only ones worried...Now this isn't exactly what Lovey Ass wanted but just wait I am getting there...it ties in with it something nasty.
>>38456981>Agreements went down with the dwarfs and elves towards the Holy Host.>WHO by the way plans to commence a FUCK huge PURGE.>Due to your central location...they plan to set up here as they expect the heaviest fighting will be here.>Their deal with the dwarfs is to strike up north and supply deal. Rolled 8 (1d100)>>38456981>>38456895slumbering undead, ruins, and typtical underground threats.Biggest one is the ancient undead though.>>38456981For you see...when the elves get shit settled? When those woods are 'claimed'?When the stuff is settled and your exhausted from the attacks?THAT is when they will strike.According to my birdies tell me they will strike from the West and the East crushing your exhausted forces in the center. All they have to do is wait for the holy hosts to do their job and pave the way...so they can mop us up once their dead.Even more concerning though I heard something bad from from up north and i have suspicions regarding the monsters which i planned to investigate but didn't have the time.now for other forces around you without factions...These were the hardest but I dealt with most of them. The exceptions being the followingMajor monsters: Fuckers are up to something got the weaker ones though...Bad Ass Bandits: they are GOOD at what they do.Elder Undead: liches...smart liches of the non crazy varietySolitary Magi: a few towers and shitheroes: including some royal tiers.I wasn't able to deal with them all in the vicinity so watch out.-----Lovely Ass reportYou are continually being spied upon, sabotaged, and other dark attempts. They have all been blocked as of yet but you have many enemies and they are getting smarter. They will also be coming for you.did some investigating...the General's family who all died who didn't stab them in the back? They aren't all dead.A few managed to slip away successfully and have taken up refuge among some debt and honor bound protectors in the forested mountains in the far west north west.I have been able to hold them off for now but once they start going magic heavy this wont always be true. They been after you ever since they ran away.Your remaining true family...some are still alive. For how long...well who knows but they don't have me covering for them.

So...would require either boon burn or fate point but has to be used before they bite it. After they bite it...MUCH more expensive. As at that time it would akin to a heroic sacrifice without the hero dying.So...it would cost 2 fate no...3 fate points or a major boon to insure survival. If the hero is already deceased it will cost 4 fate points or a super boon. This is assuming its the same civ that the hero is part of.one....yes.

The tunnels comprise a giant rune, which forms the background for another giant rune on the wall, the towers and battlements themselves forming a rune! And upon every single brick a single rune too.As above. So below.
Rolled 50 (1d100)>>38458022wtf anon that shit wasn't suppose to happen yet.also...sorta in shock. So give me break.-----With a sudden large BOOM a certain fortress began to wake up...and drag itself out of the ground. There it towered far above one could see...into the clouds themselves. As it turned out most of it was buried since long ago...and the being looked around scratched its 'head' before noticing a mountains of materials and tools.then a few specks were climbed before this 'being's eyes and showed it some papers...and so it started to move.and the mountains of materials began to float and it guided into place. While occasionally spewing out some dwarfs for the detailed work.If one looked carefully they would also note that some portals would appear...and vanish. Working along with them.So the titan moved and built without rest. Following...some strange designs. After it was finished it stomped its way back before looking around and sitting down. That was when it finally spoke."Rock of Ages is complete. Now the real show shall begin.""What real show?""with that it looked down at the legendary legacy General and it spoke once more in a deep gravelly voice containing the ancient wisdom of ages and the honor of a long forgotten hero."Legendary Legacy you have broken the taboo and aim for a dream that isn't possible in these lands.""For that it will resist and your fellows will come for your head. Already the spirits came for you yes?""...""That is because the convent is broken and you seek to do so.""What do you mean?""Do you know why this land is forever cursed by war?""...no it has always been that way."With that the giant being chuckled a deep laugh that shook the very ground and the Stone of Ages itself."Its because foolish mortal that was the price struck for a dream to be held true.""What dream and what price?""Tell me what does this land reek of besides war?""...""Think about it. >>38458211>Anon it can't magically make vanish everything under there without meeting resistance the big guy could only do the surface and what is close underneath. But that was part of the design. >>38459150"How could anyone destroy that which is constantly being destroyed by war yet prevails?"
Rolled 47 (1d100)>>38459150Genie I have a plan. Bind the generals mind and soul to the rock. Bring it to life. The general can still live as he dose now and the rock will live even before the generals death. But when the general dies his soul is permanently made a part of the living rock. For he is the rock and the rock is him.And he loves those who call him home. And makes all those who dwell in him love him in return. The living rock dose not need to feed but can feed off manny things. Fist the waist of those that dwell in his walls. Shit to fertilizer. Scrap to ammunition for the cannons. And rock for the golems. Those that live in him will come to worship him. And he will grow in power. He will be able to feed off the army's that attack us. Rolled 38 (1d100)>>38460037...you got big dreams anon but remember this is a HIGHLY lethal game. Most others would compare this game as being super hardcore or a hybrid between Dorf Fort and Dark Souls. In terms of you gonna fucking die....a lot.So remember losing is fun(especially for the Genie since I am the one losing...most the time).Admittedly though I try not to get too attached to civs because I swear to fucking god that is a death knell for whatever civ it is.Seriously though its like without fail. I swear me liking a civ is a curse that always leads to a quick and quite possibly painful death....kinda sucks but at the same time it insures I can't play favorites(because they always die shortly afterwards).>>38459585Anon even with a super boon burn would merely make it so you stood a chance in hell(instead of no chance). Even then it would take a long series of bullshit to even make remotely possible.Just because a force loses its plot armor doesn't make it completely defenseless(tho it does make it much easier to kill).>>38459622Have fun pulling that off much less pissing off forces who wouldn't exactly appreciate the efforts or success of.
>>38460108The general and the armor won't be consumed by the rock. I'm going to write out stuff later. But it's about how the best offense is a good defense.

One thing that we could do as a show of character is not selling the Vamps out. It would mean we kept our word and prove to the vamps that we are still trust worthy. Granted at this point it's a matter of life or undeath.
>>38460108So Genie, what exactly did we get with the Rock of Ages? The sort of place that one guy can hold out against an army in? Where Runes constantly debuff anyone attack and buff anyone defending? Where we can infinitely counter-charge and flank anyone who attacks by using hidden tunnels and fake redoubts? Where, if an enemy DOES manage a foothold...we can activate Blaze Runes to torch the entire segment of the fortification and cleanse it of enemies while leaving the structure intact?Just the absolute nastiest, most potent defensive structure your twisted imagination can come up with?
Rolled 67 (1d100)>>38471601Its the best quality plans you were capable of making made of the best quality materials and tools. You wont be able to find much better...though it DOES exist. Just highly unlike to be of such...size.>>38470796Lady?
>>38471674The Little Lady, I think. The girl who should've killed us several times when we first met her, but we had burnt fate.So what [Advisers] are our main problems now? From what I can guess, shit economy (no industry, no training grounds, etc.), too few troops to man the walls effectively...probably some other stuff too.Basically, what is our civ deficient in for our size...RIGHT NOW.
Rolled 53 (1d100)>>38471770Oh yeah...fuck those goddamn rolls and fate point burn.I was gonna have fun tormenting you with that one. Also fucking hero trait......everything or in short too much space and things to do but too little people.
>>38471874Alright, so "everything." Fair enough, now I'd like to know what we were deficient in BEFORE the Rock got completed. What are we weak in/to?Any advice on how to get more people/troops? Should we go around recruiting or should we try to boost our people's fertility and establish training facilities (and manufacturing capacity) to make our own soldiers?I want an "ideally we'd have x, x, x, and x taken care of" list.
>>38471874I think we should use super boon to make all who enter the rock loyal to the rock.Hay holy host, you look tired. Come rest and eat. Then they be ours. And we should do a mega recruitment drive. >>38472714Problem is when they leave it, which will happen often when we go to war.
>>38472934They will become indoctrinated in to following the rock.
>>38475010Sounds like we're planning to turn the Rock into quite the goddamn artifact. An impenetrable fortress that makes all within its walls loyal to whoever controls it at the time. DAMN.

>>38464803>>38466676>>38467184>>38467225>>38467392This is still consensus bump
>>38476540No need to rush into these things...
>>38476869What do you suggest we do?
>>38480556Plan more thoroughly and consider our situation in greater detail. We're at an important point.
>>38480932I suppose. But even Genie admits it'd kind of be hard to plan out for all this. We've already technically won our personal goal of getting the mountain, now we just need to kick our butts into war mode
>>38481357We haven't won. Do we rule the land? Then we haven't wonDo we rule the stares? Then we haven won.Do we rule the gods? Then we haven't won!
>>38481357Yes, but what specifically do we need for war mode? We've got the idea of steam tanks, and golems, but those won't do us much good without mines or trade to supply them with metal. We still have no skilled laborers and associated buildings...nor do we have any churches or training grounds for troops. Let alone breweries, taverns, and the like. Our medicine stat was still shit last i checked, so we're incredibly susceptible to the undead plague going on, or anyone smart enough to use biological warfare against us.We should take care of our basics before we move on to the more advanced bits.
>>38481468I don't know exactly what to do, I just know that whatever we do needs to be done with care. Now isn't the time for brash action. And keep in mind that our mines are still under siege by undead too.
>>38481468My plan is to make the rock give lots of passive effects like indoctrination of all inside it's walls to have almost zealot level devotion to the general. And haveing the building and upkeep done mostly by golems. And making the rock literally unable to fall.
>>38481468>We still have no skilled laborers and associated buildings...We have Boon upgraded builders and an Architect hero. The action is for developing those associated buildings.>>38481511Fixed by the Holy Host
>>38481909Eh, just be careful. A steam foundry and furnace do us no good without basic smithies and the like. There's also magical efforts to consider...mundane troops are one thing, but we need magi and clerics too.
>>38481941I know, I really want to replenish our veteran mages, but for now we really need people to man the walls (which we can't). I want loyal people too who won't betray us since our heroes revealed we have spies in the midst.
>>38481941>>38481990As well, we don't have to go too in depth with infrastructure, that slows the game down a lot.Back in Memor days, all we really needed was Biofuel and our Engineer hero Marcus to build Super Spider Tanks, they usually took care of the infrastructure problems themselves.
Rolled 53 (1d100)>>38482030Only reason that worked out is because Marcus fucking critted also you had to consume 'resources'.Anyway on an unrelated note anyone know why there is no fucking media on MC's who wear armor?Instead all you have are these bitch ass spell flingers or chuckle fucks who stick in light armor because it makes them more agile.Where the fuck did all the bad ass knight protags go?Now its all villain or second tier bullshit...Damn it i want to see or read something that has the MC being a heavily armored badass...
>>38481990That can be solved with this.We use a super boon to make the rock live. It will have automated defenses in the form of canons lining the entire wall. And orUse a super boon to make all who enter the rock indoctrinated to follow the general. Like a passive loyalty effect. Any as saison or spy in the rock will become loyal to us and make themselves know to us so we can use there skills to our advantage.
>>38482030Yeah, that was back in the day though. Things were nicer back then. You didn't have to spend $1000+ in order to get to awesome power levels.
>>38482083Oh good you're here.Btw how many resources do we have right now? And you're fine with us not focusing to much on infastructure right? It's what killed the quest a bit, we only have so much time before each raiding party we can hardly get any work done so we had to pay our way into the Rock of Ages otherwise it would have taken us half a years worth of in real threads.
>>38482118We are RIGHT there though. We are so close, we have the rock, we have the safe place, we have the people! The only thing we need to do now is recruit and pull up our industry.
>>38482083Read the berserk manga. The main character is exactly what you are looking for.
>>38482083Also the runic structure of the Rock gives us a natural buff against enemy magic both inside and outside yes?
>>38482083Can a super boon remove plot armer permanently?
Rolled 2 (1d100)>>38482195An ordinary tier can only disable it temporarily. An upper tier though...does have the potential for making it so.>>38482176yes though its strongest on the walls. So keep that in mind.>>38482152hm...anything else?He never seemed the type to wear heavy armor from what I read...>>38482122Check the last updated stat sheet it should still be accurate.Best to post it though for others to see as well. And you NEED infrastructure to do jack shit.
>>38482264>And you NEED infrastructure to do jack shit. Will you give us time to build our infrastructure before the next raid?Memor didn't have to spend whole threads building infrastructure. they just built things and used 20 resources to cover the rest.
Rolled 12 (1d100)>>38482284They actually did need to invest in the basics or rely upon other modifiers.Admittedly this was cruder and the Memor system...is very out of date so I wouldn't rely upon those sort of comparisons in general.
>>38482264What, specific, infrastructure pieces are we lacking? The Rock ought to have come with roads/transportation and water sources. We already had food NAILED THE FUCK DOWN. We had more housing than we needed too.The Rock possibly should've included housing for soldiers and specially designed, easily defended civilian housing too.So what are we missing?
>>38482313Like, shiet.>Thread 1>Have absolutely nothing but a research base>Find a Spider TankLet's build more!>makes 5 more spider tanks just like that using resources>>38482313>Admittedly this was cruder and the Memor system...is very out of date so I wouldn't rely upon those sort of comparisons in general. It's been said time and time againCruder is better.Like how you complain about us spending infinite amount of time making intricately complex plans to deal with everything, rather than just making ACTIONS
>>38482264Dose this armor look heavy enuf for you?Trust me. From what I can tell of your taste you will LOVE IT.
>>38482331Like, give us details. Let us know what we're missing and where we're weak. If you LET US KNOW then later on you can fuck us over if we ignore it, but if you just pull some "kek, you forgot to say your TWISTED-TRAIT hero was BREATHING" sort of stuff then...that's not fair. We're asking you right now where we're particularly weak. It would also be nice to know what our pop cap, ideal pop to man everything, sustainable pop with food/water sources as-is, and other essential numbers are.
>>38482313>Admittedly this was cruder and the Memor system...is very out of date so I wouldn't rely upon those sort of comparisons in general.I'm amazed after all this time you haven't realized yet that every civ we've ever done is to try to go back to that time and that system,Because of how easier it was for us to do awesome things without having to deal with so much other crap.
Would a fuck ton of golems let us build with ease?
Rolled 48 (1d100)>>38482346They had science bonuses and their shitty manufacturing was countered by heroes.>>38482363hm...gonna have to check it out.Fucking tired of the lack of armor like goddamn bunch of fucking wimps the lot of em....not really an animu kind of person though. Damn it fuck this lack of variety...>>38482369All you need is to do the basic prereqs.>>38482379...anons romanticize it too much even back then you had to do a bit of ground work and infrastructure building.
Rolled 62 (1d100)>>38482369your pop cap...wont come into play anytime soon thanks to the damned rock of ages. All dat sphess...
>>38482405>>38482393Okay, so popcap is irrelevant. That's good. Now how many people are required to make sure that the entire place is /reasonably/ inhabited. So there aren't any passages used so infrequently that undead or giant spiders or other horrors of the underground start to take up residence in them? How much military are we going to need to keep the outer defenses reasonably manned?>All you need is to do the basic prereqsOkay, tell us more about those. What do they entail and how do we get them covered most efficiently? Is it best to just say "Build up the infrastructure" or do we need to be more specific and say things like "build up our industrial, mercantile, holy, and magical infrastructures." Could we instead just say something like "work towards making this place a fully functioning, war-oriented city that has to deal with a fuckload of undead and provides for all our troops and special units to take full advantage of their abilities"?You want a more detailed system, sure whatever. We have to relearn how to play by the new rules though, seeing as we've not had this level of power since they were instituted.
>>38482393There wasn't much work that needed to be done. We also had the actions to get any necessary work done in a reasonable number of turns before the next disaster hit...while still pursuing our cool shit. The only time I remember worrying about basic needs with the Memor was when we had just boosted our pop by a shitton with recruiting...and then we got a shitton of feral ghouls under our control too.And even then all we had to do was research the glowing flower from thread 1 and tell Claire to deal with this shit for a turn or two.
Rolled 47 (1d100)>>384824841 there is fuckton of space have fun keeping an eye on it.2 hahahahhhHAHAHAHH a fuckton.a metric fuckton.I am not about to go into detail about it.Basically research and then construct.Once its 'built' its assumed that all settlements have access to it and will also build it as required.Of course you can specialize..which as its uses.Same fucking principle as Memor(except for the specializing).
>>38482610Not getting what you're saying. What exactly do we need to research and then construct? Be more detailed than "infrastructure".Because I swear I don't know what basic needs the Memor actually had to devote much time to.Also...we kind of need a map now. An how many actions do we get now?
>>38482405You know what also helped with the research and infrastructure?having 4 basic actions a production action and a bandit action.
>>38482851We'd have to control a goddamn continent in order to have 4 basic actions now.And with the way everyone and their fucking brother gangs up on PC civs for sneezing while leaving NPC civs alone...that's a ridiculous concept.
Rolled 37 (1d100)>>38482610my god the only fucking thing is Berzerk and some old book about a reversal on good vs evil...COME ON....gonna put that on my 'to write' list....that list is getting awfully long at this point but fucking hell if current people don't do the same shit over and over.>>38482658Same map as before just with the pentagram on it.>>38482851You have 2 basic plus whatever bonus actions.>>38482883Actually they attack each other too its just players hardly bother getting around to seeing it.
>>38482393>...anons romanticize it too much even back then you had to do a bit of ground work and infrastructure building. It took them 2 threads to research and start building Super Spider tanksBy thread 10 they had >>>>>>vehicles:1 Digga Drilla. 0 bandit spider tanks(biofuel) 4 Paramilitary spider tank(runs on biofuel). 6 plasma thrower spider tank(biofuel). 6 laser battery spider tank(biofuel). 3 transports crawlers(biofuel). 9 siege mk1.2 tanks. 2 'metal rain' artillery. 5 swamp walkers. 300 technical. 1 booty tap trap layer. 7 Piercing Demon(BIG holes small target) 9 Plasma Baby(YOU SAID RADIATION IS BAD FOR YOU) 7 BOOM-town( you said WHAT) 9 Bloody Bandit(Extra bloody and BEATTA) 7 Paramilitary Supreme(I can't hear you over the sound of how AWESOME I am) 0 doom buggies. 1 bombardier (if you thought boomtown had boom you don’t know BOOM) 0 Forsaken Bandit (When solo go FORSAKEN)Mind you, everything past booty tap trap layer is BIGGER than a spider Tank
>>38482908Still only 2 basic actions? Jesus.
>>38482908Hey Genie, how many Super Boons to lower the game difficulty?
>>38482927*Bigger than a SUPER spider tank. And oh so many delicious flavors.THAT's what I want to see again. That sheer awesome military might.Where Super Spider Tanks? Those things the Outcast civ Genie tried to hype up as big and awesome?are looked as small and puny, the things Richard slapped us for trying to make because anyone could make more of them.
>>38482927This was with starting conditions that you regularly refer to as the most hellish of any civ, Genie.Like, shit, make your system such as you want...but can't you TELL by all your anons outcry regularly that your system will be much more liked and used it CRAZY SHIT like the Memor was the norm instead the exception?
>>38482927IN FACTIDEAIF WE JUST COPY THE GUIDELINE OF INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE MEMOR AND CREATE FANTASY EXPY'S OF THEMWE'LL HAVE THEIR EXACT INDUSTRIAL CAPACITY!
>>38482610What are the basics?
>>38482610>2 hahahahhhHAHAHAHH a fuckton.a metric fuckton. We need an idea Genie
Rolled 36 (1d100)>>38483104I honestly have no idea anon.because...well you weren't suppose to build it so quickly. As your forces grew and you built it up over time you would naturally have had a lot more guys available to man them.So fuck if I know.>>38483071For what?Basically if you want something its this.1 research2 construct3 produce
>>38483176No I mean. The Basic infrastructures the Memor conquered to make their civ as fully self efficient as it was, so they could focus on researching glowing flowers or wasting time with useless railguns and innefective monster research> As your forces grew and you built it up over time you would naturally have had a lot more guys available to man them.Do you have any idea how long that would take?Especially after today and our losses?Do you really expect us to spend half a year trying to build infrastructure/pop WHILE being raided and attacked taking away all our progress?
>>38483176>well you weren't suppose to build it so quicklyPsshaw. We weren't supposed to build it at all. But now it's built and we've got boons to throw around to make sure it WORKS RIGHT.>>38483176We want to know what basic needs we need/ought to address. We understand how to address them, but we need to know WHAT to address. What does a faction that has this much land normally have in it?
>>38483224Let alone every battle that happens usually stretches out to half a month in real time, because we require a weeks worth of planning to come up with a semi decent essay of strategy for one turn and STILL get fucked in the ass, meaning we really do need to spend that much time.Because if we don't and just say "attack with these forces here" we'll be killed.
>>38483176Could we use a super boon to lower the difficulty of the game?
Rolled 11 (1d100)>>38483323TO a degree yes.You can use it to cripple densities or other hostile forces/factions.So technically that is a yes.
>>38483339That's not what he meant and you know it.
Rolled 17 (1d100)>>38483339Come to think of technically you could do that with any other boons...huh can't believe i never thought of that way.I mean i saw the whole faction deal...but not dealing with other forces that WOULD technically decrease difficulty. Can't believe i hadn't thought of that before...>>38483345Technically its true. You can do so by using a boon to cripple forces within your own or other areas.Which would technically decrease the difficulty because they would be weaker and hence less of a threat.
>>38483339No no genie. Super boons can break plot armor.I want to break the settings plot armor and make the game. The entire game easier for us
Rolled 27 (1d100)>>38483365Could also use it to make weather and random events more favorable to you as well...fuck boons are pretty sweet.>>38483380That only happened once in game.and it broke the setting.Literally.Technically...that should be possible. But be aware the setting in question is a very VERY powerful and while the super boon will nullify its plot armor that doesn't mean it wont fight back or try to resist it.Is doable...have no fucking idea what the goddamn modifiers would be though.
>>38483431Still waiting on answers to these:>>38483224>>38483237
>>38483431The random encounters. To what level would that change? With the use of a super would our bad encounters be cut in half and our good doubled? Would it effect the enemy's encounters?
>>38483473A super boon being burnt to give everyone else a permanent boost to negative random events is an interesting idea.Bad things hardly ever seem to happen to anyone else. I'd like to see the vampires get fucked for just sitting around on their asses.
Rolled 72 (1d100)>>38483473A super boon on random encounteries would temporarily make negative ones impossible and greatly boost the powerful ones.Yes it would. As in it would be the reverse.
Rolled 38 (1d100)>>38483495bah mean positive not powerful.
>>38483495How long is temporary?
Rolled 69 (1d100)>>38483516Depends on how powerful you want the affect to be.More powerful the less time less powerful more time.Super boon bonus reverses shit and 'shares' it around.
>>38483539What are basic needs our civ are currently lacking in?
Rolled 78 (1d100)>>38483552Well besides defensive infrastructure EVERYTHING else can be considered lacking.
>>38483564Gonna have to be more specific there.
>>38483564Can we use a super boon to make EVERYTHING?
>>38483593If we can build the rock in a day. Why not?
Rolled 67 (1d100)>>38483593>>38483649....fucking super boons.See now THIS bullshit is why I was paranoid about handing them out.
>>38483670Genie this isn't even crazy stuff. This is just basic survival.Has the game really devolved to the point where making a well rounded infrastructure is Super Boon bullshit tier? Not like the CRAZY AWESOME STUFF that Super Boons should be used for?
Rolled 76 (1d100)>>38483706What?No the super Boons will make that shit AWESOME.It wont even be well rounded anon...that doesn't work with the SUPAH.Kinda overkill though....like big time.
>>38483744It shouldn't ever be overkill, it should just spill over and give us a ridiculous amount of extreme quality specialty building, or the people to man everything it spawns. These things cost too much for you to let any portion of them go to waste. What size boon wouldn't be overkill to get all the infastructure we need?
Rolled 32 (1d100)>>38483758Basic boons per a type.
>>38483801See now, we haven't even been able to extract types that we might need from you.
>>38483801How many types are there?
Rolled 17 (1d100)>>38483819>>38483837Its ALL on the stat sheet. The basic stats.
>>38483851And there isn't any hidden bullshit, really?
>>38483851Oh, I see what you mean.>>Turn 32>>>>>>A. Scavenge for supplies.>>>>>>B. Try to improve the base>>>>>>C. Try to improve weapons.>>>>>>D. Research technology.>>>>>>E. Research Magic>>>>>>F. Explore in a direction/something.>>>>>>G. Scavenge for raw materials.>>>>>>H. Your choice>>Reserves: 0>>Currency: 0>>>Pop 11k>>>Military: Good>>>>>Food: Below Average>>>>>Water: Good>>>>>Morale: High>>>>>Medicine: Low>>>>>Health: Low>>>>>Armaments: Average>>>>>Fuel: Poor>>>>>Tech level: Barbaric>>>>>Reputation: ->>>>>Infrastructure: Warehouse. Keep. Fired Farms. Hovels. Well. Fishery. Watermill. Pub.>>>>>Defenses: Crude Installations>>>>>Beasts:>>>>>Power: Windmill>>>>>Weapons: Reserves.>>>>>armor: Hides. Metal(limited)>>>>>communications: Word of Mouth.>>>>>Technology: Tanning. Drill Mastery.
>>38483870That makes about 15 Stat Areas minus Defenses which should be perfect. So 15 boons.>>38483851Also has it been long enough for us to have 2 Currency right now?
>>38483870Also this seems to be a very odl version which doesn't include our Water Mill and other such buildings/resources we've created.
>>38483870I mean, not even our beasts where there nor the Psionic Crystals from the Prophet of fate in communication.
>>38483870We should have 7 or 9 currency. The holy gas and holy hand grenades
>>38483870>HealthIndirect stat, don't have to worry about it>FuelAnother, we just need to make sure we have some infrastructure to create fuel (logging, coal, fire-stones, whatever)>Tech level: BarbaricGenie, would directly burning a boon to increase this do anything...or is this purely derived from what tech we have access to? If so...jesus, half our civ is dwarves so what's up?>ReputationAnother stat that we don't need to burn boons for. Also why is this blank when everyone fucking hates us for various reasons?>BeastsWe have some beasts and have for a while but they never showed up here.Too tired to go through the rest.
>>38483870Fired farms are very obsolete...same with hovels, the Well/water should've been addressed with the creation of the Rock (a fortress of best quality considers more than just walls).
>>38483851Would the Major Boon, Thread Survivor(+), and an Art Boon be enough to take care of all our basic infrastructure...get us a decent industrial base...and provide buildings for all our specialist guys (dwarven runesmiths, alchemists, etc.)?
Today will be fun with all these boons and growth we need to do.
