“Alright, Witches, gather around.” Captain Kelly’s Tank Witches (Herself, Rosemary, Burnie, Bohater, Doc, and Jeb) along with Colonel Hessler of Karlsland and Major Breda of Farawayland, and yourself all huddle together in the snow. Colonel Hessler leads the briefing with a riding crop, drawing out the plans through the snow. “Situation is as follows…”“The nearest checkpoint to Blaskowitz’ position is twenty miles north. Provided our driver floors it there, he will reach friendly lines within half an hour. However, he will have to contend with entrenched Neuroi positioning. Hive K-2 of course has been spotted in the area, which means we can expect scavenged and looted vehicles. Looted Panzer Is especially will be run along the road, and the Liberions report they are also using stolen M18 Hellcats repurposed as fast-moving assault cavalry in that area as well.“Here’s what’ll happen on our end. Major Breda and all local artillery units will perform creeping barrage around either side of the main road. His approach will be proceeded as well by smoke barrages. Leichter and Schwerer Panzerspahwagens will move up the road about five miles then veer right and loop back around to draw off most of the initial defenders. Then the Jeep Jockey will be sent in with Tank Witch support. Graf and the Rookie will provide air cover as well.”You raise your hand. “Um, question.” They all look at you. “Shouldn’t the Jeep Jockey have more cover than just us?”“It’s all we can spare,” says Captain Kelly. “Most of the actual tanks are too slow to keep up with him and speed and surprise of the essence.”“I still think airlifting Neuroi Nan out would be better,” says Graf. “Though, this plan does look foolproof.”
>>36623078“Additionally, we would provide additional support, but this hill absolutely vital to operations within the region. So far we can only spare the light vehicles and the artillery. If things go right, we should be able to get him through unharmed. Any questions?” You all shake your heads. “Sehr gut.” You all stand up. “Saddle up.”> Chat with Rosemary and the Witches, one last time> Go with Graf to prepare the Strikers> See if the Jeep Jockey is ready> Write in

> Chat with Rosemary and the Witches, one last time“Steiner, help me in.” The old mechanic hefts up Rosemary into her Tank Striker. With a hiss and a roar of the engines, she’s connected and ready to start up the magic. She looks down at you. “Hey, Rooks. Are you feeling okay?”You nod. “Better, at least I know we’ll make it. You are covering us after all.” She smiles at that, flattered.“Listen,” she says. “If this means peace in our time…” She sighs, frowning. “If this means the war ends, then I will always thank you, Rookie. All of us. By God, this all has to end.” Steiner hands her the gun. She spins up the chamber, ready to go. “I hope to see you alive and well on the other side, Rookie.”Burnie rolls up, grinning. “That’s right, y’all are really going to love how we stomp and crush da Roy!”Jeb finishes loading her Trench gun then fixes the bayonet on. “We’ll give ‘em something to think about when we’s hashing out terms of their surrender!” She slaps Doc’s back, happily. “And we’ll give ‘em the good ol’ one two punch!”Doc pumps her fist, smiling. “For Karlsland and for the fallen!”Captain Kelly rolls up with Bohater as well, smoking on her pipe. She pulls it out and points at you. “Right, love, you stay fresh and keep your cool. We’ll see him through as far as we can. Your boy will make it to the end, no matter.”You smile at all of them. Tank Witches, some of the strongest girls you have ever met. You look to Rosemary, who nods to you, a little smile on her face. “Rookie. Here’s to you.” She salutes you. You salute her back. “If we didn’t have the Neuroi today…”“Ohoho~, do not talk like that,” you say. “Your imagination is so vivid, really, Rosemary. I’m sure even if we didn’t we’d still meet on the field.” She nods, happy with that answer.> Go with Graf to prepare the Strikers> See if the Jeep Jockey is ready> Write in

> Go with Graf to prepare the StrikersThe mechanics hastily repair any damage and scratches the Strikers took on the last sortie. You stand with Graf as well, watching over them as they do your work. You’re not particularly excited to go back into the P-59, but you don’t have choice in the matter. You look over to Graf and-You sigh. “Graf, do you need to borrow my trousers or something?”She smirks. “I have better things to do than worry about what the men can see. Besides!” She sweeps her trenchcoat back, and very briefly she flashes you. Ugh. “Trenchcoat covers up enough.”“Alright then,” you say. No ohoho~ing for you, that’s just embarrassing. “Well, Graf, you realize that this means we might have a chance at peace with the Neuroi.”She nods. “Oh yeah, peace in 1945. Right after New Year’s, too.” She crosses her arms, then frowns. “I’m gonna admit with you. If peace does come by, I’m going to miss all of this.” Really? You tilt your head, curious. “Getting the medals, fighting the enemy and driving him out, and getting to know all the people around us. It’s like…” She shrugs. “I don’t know. I mean, I won’t miss the Neuroi, I’ll just miss what they made us.”“What did they make of us?” you ask.She nods. “United.” She smiles. “Friends.” She looks to you, then holds out her hand. “Friends?”> “Friends.”> yeah no thanks> Write in

Friends.” She grins, happily.“I’m still better than you,” she says. “Ritterkreuz after all.”“Yeah, keep dreaming,” you respond. You punch her gently on the arm, to which she reacts as if you had just given the slugging of her life. You chuckle, then look over to the mechanics. “Are our Strikers ready?”One of them walks up, rubbing his hands in a rag. “Yes, ma’am. We did what we could with the Magical Resonator in the P-59, but it’s still going to use a heckton of Magic if you’re not careful. Try and ration it out, just stick to the basic shield, weaponry, and flight spells. Alright?”You nod. “I’ll do my best.” You look to Graf, then gesture to the Strikers. “Shall we saddle up?”“Gladly!”You squeeze your legs into the Strikers. They scream to life, blasting off dust and snow around you. Graf’s is more of a coughing roar, still using the old Fw-190 model. You and her start taxiing down the makeshift runway. You pull up your radio receiver. “Jeep Jockey, we’re about to take to the air, can you hear me?”“Yeah, barely!” he says. There’s a bit of static over the comms. “Recon’s showing that the Neuroi are about to make another strike, so we have to make this quick! I got big Johannes over here with the ’42 and as much AP-I rounds as he can carry and the Neuroi in the back too. You and Graf taxi off the runway, and take flight. You turn your head round to see the Jeep Jockey, being driven into the center of a formation of armored cars. Sdkfz 222 and Skdfz 234/2 to be precise. Graf happily waves to them all, proud of the Karlslander steel being used in such an important operation.“Major Breda.” You can hear Colonel Hessler as she rolls up along the formation, with Captain Kelly and her witches behind her. “You may fire when ready.”“Copy that! Creep Barrage in effect, stand by for impact.”Major Breda readies up her mortar, specialized to fire a variety of grenades and ordnance, then steadies her Sexton Artillery Striker unit. Her feet clamp to the ground, digging in. With that, she’s ready to fire. “And firing!” She and several large pieces of artillery shatter the air with booming artillery. Everything from small mortars, to pack howitzers, to the larger 105 and 150mm guns fire off. You pull out your binoculars and observe the impacts. The main road you are traveling along is heavily forested. Giant splashes of dirt, snow, and mud kick up with every impact as they slowly travel along the road.A radio dispatch comes in. “All stations, be advised. Neuroi assault cav in bound from the north-east, fast approaching. AT guns adjust.”“Rounds complete!” yells Major Breda.“Let’s move out!” The armored cars roll forward, speeding off with the Jeep in pursuit. > Hang high, wait for air attackYou both pull up, flying high in the sky. Graf spins around, letting her trenchcoat billow brilliantly in the wind. Hmph, show off. “Jeep Jockey, how is it down there?”“Bumpy as fuck!” he yells. “But we’re okay!”Your ear twitches. There are Neuroi closing in! You pull up your binoculars again. “I see Looted Hellcats, coming your way!” The Looted Hellcats (or Katze) hang off of trees by their legs, having had most of their armor and most of the weight stripped off. All that is left is the original 76mm gun, the shell of the hull, and four powerful spider legs capable of giving it extreme speed. They jump off and start speeding towards the convoy.“We see them,” says the lead armored car officer. “For the Fatherland, we are engaging!”“Copy, but do not close in, lead them away!” says Colonel Hessler. The Armored Cars split up, then speed around the Jeep Jockey and over the massive artillery craters. They fire off their 50mm guns and 20mm autocannons at the assaulting Katze. One Puma there for three or four Katze. The formation manages to bust through and speed on away, sending the Katze into disarray, perfect for the Jeep Jockey.“That’s one thing out of the way!” says Captain Kelly. The Tank Witches are now running behind him under their own power.Graf yells, “Rookie! Coming from below, Butchers!”You turn your binocular down.Yep, Butchers. She punches straight through a Butcher. Then she grabs one, spins round and throws it down the pack, knocking out another two or three. Their wreckages flies down, fiery, until it explodes into mist. You bring up your 37mm and fire off quick and precise shots. One there, two there, three there. They all pop like lamp lights. The Butchers roar like furies as they fly past and barrage you again with another strafing of lasers.“This is Hessler! We’ve got more Neuroi, Largos and Looted Panthers coming in from both sides!” You look down briefly, to see Hessler’s Striker crush a wounded Panther. She steadies herself, and fires off her 88mm. The shot flies through one Panther, then another, and another, and even a Largo. All of them fall to pieces, then turn to white mist.“Balls!” The Jeep Jockey roar past all the Tank Witches. Johannes fires off his MG-42 from the passenger seat, spreading armor-piercing incendiary rounds all over the Neuroi and setting them ablaze. Neuroi Girl lies in the back, limp. The Jeep buckles and slides all over the road. “The only thing that could make this worse is if the cops were on my fucking ass!”Graf flies up next to you, spraying her MG-81z into the air. “We’re not even halfway and we’re getting swarmed!” You’re about to say that she’s being quite obvious. But then she’s rammed out of the sky by a Butcher. You manage to speed past her, then fly up below her. You slowly descend, making sure not to catch her at a snap moment. Otherwise you might actually do more harm than good. Finally, she lands in your arms. Her broken Striker Unit shatters off her legs, and she quickly discards the other one. She smiles. “Thanks, Friend!” She cocks her MG-81z.You fly down to the Jeep. “Jeep Jockey! You got another passenger!”He turns the wheel quickly, trying to focus on the road. “Can’t you see we’re fucking full!”“Too bad!” You throw Graf into the back, nearly on top of Neuroi Girl. “How far are we!?”Johannes checks the maps, the bumps shaking his helmet and throwing him off a little bit. “Uh… I’d say nine more miles and we’re good!”Your radio wires in. “Rookie, Rookie, are you there!?” No… is that? Oh well. “Look, we can catch up, okay?” He picks up a BAR from the Jeep.“That is right,” says Johannes. “We’ll make our own way out. You need to cover ten miles. It shouldn’t be too difficult with a Jet Striker though! You’ll be there and back for the three of them in no time!Suddenly, out pops from the ground the Hive K-2 Ace himself, Glaucus. He’s been busy, so busy that he apparently absorbed an SU-152, and had it eight spindly spider legs and a new 37mm turret from the top of a Panzer III. It fires its giant cannon. And you just barely miss. The heat of the giant laser nearly cooks you but you press on. He turns on a dime however and fires again. This time the shot glances off your jet. Your right leg Striker starts huffing and coughing, damaged. Oh, that’s not good. Carla looks to you and says, “If you’re wondering, we haven’t had word from Graf yet. Hessler and the Tank Witches are still back on the hill and they’ve held the position. But so far, nothing.”You frown. Oh no…> “Can I see the Neuroi Girl?”> “Take me to the Commander.”> “Well, let’s rest then, things should get better.”> Write in

> “Take me to the Commander.”“Can you take me to the Commander?” you ask. They nod, then Carla lifts you up and carries you on her back like a horse. They start carrying you around, and soon you exit out the tent to see the basecamp you have found yourself in. Tents covered white on the top, with fire pits for the soldiers scattered about. When they look at you, they cheer for you, raising their hands and weapons in applause. Having a witch around them must make them feel that much safer. You arrive in a new tent, where a group of Officers and Commanders gathered around a bed. Carla lets you sit up a little to see what it is. It’s the Neuroi Girl, being examined by a medic. The Commander herself, Maxine Bucholz, looks up at you. “Pilot Officer.” She grins, and the others look to you as well. She stands up, and salutes you. You all salute back. “It’s good to see you’re awake.”“Good to see you too, Commander.” You smile at her. You’d love to kiss her, but you are in the presence of other Officers. Wouldn’t be acceptable. “Is the Neuroi Girl alright?”The medic shrugs. “I’ve worked on people for two wars,” he says. “This is completely escaping me.”The Neuroi Girl looks to you, apparently glad to see you here.> “You’ll be alright, Neuroi Girl.”> “We have peace then, she wants peace!”> “So what now?”> Write in

> “So what now?”You are let down by Carla, then you step over to the Neuroi Girl’s bed. “So what now?” you ask.The Commander says, “Now we figure out what the Neuroi Girl wants.” She sighs, sitting back, smiling. “With any luck, it will be peace.”The Neuroi Girl turns her head to you.> WE ONLY WANT PEACE.You look to them all, spry. “She wants peace.” They look to you, curious. “They want peace. I can be sure of it.” You’re not sure how you can explain that this Neuroi Girl only communicates with you, and through some form of telepathy, and how it helped you that one time with the Schwerer Rail Gun affair. However, you feel confident in saying that. The Commander nods. “Alright then.” She looks to everyone, grinning widely, the widest grin you have seen her give. “It is peace then.” All the Officers start murmuring, discussing things.“Peace?” asks Rachel. “Really?”“Yep,” you say.The Commander stands up. “We know this Neuroi Girl comes from a hive over the Ostmark. If we can communicate with that Hive.”An Officer says, “We’ll have this Neuroi smuggled through and out back to the Ostmark in no time. We can get the 504th to begin negotiations.”“Are you sure?” you ask. “I mean- If…” You scratch your head. “She only really likes talking to me.” The Neuroi Girl lifts her arm, her elbow a stump. What is she doing? The Commander nods. “We’re sure. Let the world know we’ve made first contact with a Neuroi humanoid, and that we seek peace and an end to this war.” The 509th all gasp, then start quietly cheering, happily hugging and slapping hands with each other. The end is coming. You can feel it.
>>36633050“You’re pretty heavy, you know that right?” says Graf as she carries the Jeep Jockey over her shoulder. He groans, his leg shot through by a laser, but thankfully it is not too serious of a wound.“Ah, shaddup, you’re not even wearing pants,” says the Jeep Jockey. Graf giggles. “How close are we?”Johannes grunts, shouldering his MG-42. He is out of fresh barrels for the weapon, and he is down to his MP-40. “Very, I can see the checkpoint.” The Jeep Jockey tries to lean upward, trying to get a view around Graf’s head. Johannes waves to the soldiers, happily as they walk up to the checkpoint. “Guten tag! Did the VIP make it through?”The soldier, a young Volksgrenadier, says, “Ja. Did you hear?” The three of them look confused. He says, “Peace is at hand. We’re all gonna go home!” He laughs, gripping the lapels of his greatcoat. The three just looked confused. “Aren’t you excited?”Johannes nods quickly, smiling. “Ja, ja.” He looks over to Graf and the Jeep Jockey. “Aren’t you both?”The Jeep Jockey and Graf glance at each other, then look away. “Eh… I am,” says Jeep Jockey. “Not sure about Miss Buttcheek here.” Graf drops him.“Agh!”
