On occasion, the Great Garden of Nurgle spills out into the Materium where the barrier is weak. One such manifestation of his realm is where you, Acerea, were “born.” It was a backwaters moon, surrounding an even more obscure no-name planet. There you tended to the moon-encompassing garden and aided other children of the Lord of Decay in their endeavours. Providing support and motherly care simply came naturally to you, and it brought you great joy to see the fruits of your labor. Both literally and metaphorically.Eventually you were pulled away from your little oasis by the call of one Bloodletter. Despite the fact she was a daemon of Khorne you sensed that she needed your help more than any creature on your moon. It was exciting - a chance to help a fledgling being grow and reach their full potential. And so you left everything you had ever known behind to stand as Cinder’s ally. The months following your decision were a blur of emotions, both good and bad. All of it served to remind you of the joy of living, something Papa Nurgle would be proud of. When it came to your daemon friends, you fostered a sisterly bond between Ignitrix and Cinder. The sight of a Lady of Change and a (now) Bloodthirster working together in (relative) harmony brings you hope and further joy. In your mind, you need not be in the limelight so long as they are happy. However, something has been weighing down the corners of your mind ever since arriving on the Obscenity Engine. Flashes of events and foreign memories fill your vision seemingly at random. It’s worrisome but you’ve kept up your motherly outward appearance all the same. There’s no sense troubling your friends after all, especially since it might cause Ignitrix more undue stress. And that poor little bird needs her rest.Welcome to the Nurglette Oneshot, part of Khornette Quest.

Like all things 40k, the gauntlet runs from “worshipping the printed word” to “over the top silliness.” Most of the time it’s somewhere in between. You’ve been warned in advance. All rolls go against a specified characteristic in the style of Black Crusade. You’ll want to roll under the characteristic value in order to pass the check. The more degrees of success (every multiple of 10 counts as 1), the more awesome of a result. A 1 is a guaranteed success, and a 100 is a guaranteed failure. Best of three rolls when it’s called for, with a 1 or a 100 instantly taking precedence. If multiple characteristics are being rolled for, each 1d100 counts for its respective test. Any rolls prior to the call for one and those not linking said post will be ignored. No rerolls or roll modifications are available for Acerea. However, we will be tracking the amount of “ara ara’s.” So there’s that.If you have any questions/etc, now’s the time. I’ll push the first update in about 10 minutes. I imagine tonight should largely proceed like Iggy's first oneshot flow-wise.Excessive meta/whining/waifu’ing/etc goes to QTG. Blatant Samefaggotry will be ignored. You may find this 4chanX filter list useful: http://pastebin.com/QxMu8Rrr
In the downtime following the Blood Raven’s “visit,” you find yourself momentarily alone. The corridors of the Engine you walk through are devoid of any sign of life. Cold, uncaring metal surrounds you on all sides. For a daemon used to being surrounded by greenery, it’s slightly disturbing. Yet you continue to wander without purpose, trying to gather your thoughts before returning to Sytili. “...No I don’t think she knows, Arch-Magos…”Your head swivels as you try to discern the source of the sudden, reverberating whisper. It‘s mechanical, devoid of emotion, like that of a Tech-Priest. Yet there are no Mechanicus here.“...She knew what she was getting into…”A flash of a mechadendrite slicing downwards blinds you momentarily and sees you using a nearby wall for support. What was that? The voice shifts, this time it’s unmistakably feminine and musical. “Remember, my daughter, protect your step-sisters…”Another flash, this time of an Eldar-like figure on the bank of a dark green river. Behind her lies the massive, pestilent form of the Plaguefather himself. Unlike Cinder’s and Ignitrix’s experiences with their patrons you can tell this is but a memory. But why are you just now remembering it? And was it at all genuine?Your vision returns to normal as you break out into a cold sweat. Whatever was happening to you was getting worse. These visions were becoming more and more frequent and vivid.<Isssss everything alright, Acerea? >>35759362Deciding to work backwards from the most recent mental interruption, you try to concentrate on the image of Isha and the Plaguefather. The blackness surrounding you shimmers, revealing the Great Garden’s Poxyards. As before, Isha is on the bank of a fetid river of pure disease with the Chaos God himself in the background. You float above the scene with Sytili, while the memory-you walks forth with a plant in hand.“Grandfather,” memory-you begins. “I brought you a new strain of toxic fern. I took great care to make it nearly indistinguishable from those the nobles keep on Scintilla.”Nurgle laughs jollily. “Good, good my child. Tell me though, how is your own garden doing?”Memory-you bows her head. “It is going well, Grandfather. I’m still very happy you chose to leave it in my care.”Another booming chuckle. “And I’m happy that you’re happy. Now, show me this fern.”As a great, decaying hand comes down to carefully pluck the plant from “you,” the Eldar Goddess turns. Contrary to all the other times you’ve seen her, her eyes aren’t filled to brim with tears. “I’m glad you came, Acerea. Though I wish you’dve left the fern behind…” Isha shakes her head and continues. “No matter. I just wished to impart a small bit of advice given where you’re headed. Eventually you will have to come to terms with the turmoil inside of you. Only then can you truly be healed and reach true happiness.”“I’m afraid I don’t understand.”She smiles. “You will, in time. Now there is one other matter. One I have struggled with for nearly an eternity. But I believe it is the only way to save my mortal children.”“The Eldar, you mean?”“Indeed. Slaanesh has too great a hold on their souls for me to save them all. It pains me to admit that. Even more so to say that the only solution may be to allow Nurgle here to corrupt them instead.”(cont)
>>35760186“Oh come now Isha,” he thunders while turning the fern about in his hand. It’s comically tiny compared to him, like a dreadnaught handling an ant except thrice as much. “Better that they live and experience the joys of living than live in fear of having their souls consumed.” “So… I’m going to have you try something for me, Acerea. I want you to find a small group and see if you can save their souls in this manner. If not…”She sniffs, tears falling from her face and installing crystallizing. After catching the spirit stones she tosses them to memory-you. “Save them that way. Put them out of their misery.”“I understand, Grandmother…”With that your surroundings begin to fade back into nothingness. In the end it’s determined that you’ll have your main garden on 11 for the Nurgle strain and use 12 for the Khornate one. This decision is largely influenced by the fact Deck 12 is just one deck up from two secondary shuttle bays, making the logistics of meat handling a breeze. Once the swarm gets large enough to warrant more space, Sytili and you will revisit the issue. For now she seems rather tired. I don’t really understand the concept of mortals celebrating being closer to death in such a fashion, but the computer told me one usually is expected to give a gift. So I…”“So she made me this,” mumbles the Lady of Change. Her face is more red than Cinder’s skin. “Apparently she’s not just a stupid brute…”That’s Ignitrix for you. In denial to the end. You smile warmly at her and lather your words in motherly affection. “I see~. Did you give her headpats as well, Cinder?”“ACEREA!” whines Ignitrix. She looks like she wants nothing more than to become one with the deckplates but you know she’s loving the attention.“You know come to think of it, no,” remarks Cinder. The Bloodthirster immediately applies the palm of her hand to the top of Ignitrix’s head. “She was too busy thanking me for actually caring enough to get her something.”“Awwww~”The Lady of Change struggles to get free. “Mrmhpm… I-It’s only because I haven’t gotten something in centuries and I’ve always hated my birthday and…”> Go help apply headpats> Wink and tell her you’ll be right back with her present> Write in

why did we spoil that scene?we should have mimed for cinder to headpat her while she cried.ah well.It occurs to me that merely feeding nids those who died in battle might not be exactly what we want to get them to become khornish. Merely prevent them from becoming nurglich through their diet. They should actually fight. maybe do a lot of internal combat to survive? send off some baby nids to participate in the arena while they are still small and its a somewhat fair fight (enough for people to be willing to fight them)
Stuffed Cinder Doll it is. I think I'll add >>35764890 just because it's a nice extra and consistent with Acerea. Writing...

Let's make sure the doll is durable too, in case she wants to vent frustrations at it instead of hugs.
Does nurgle allow non poisonous flowers?... actually a readily available source of poison might be quite a pragmatic gift for a bringer of change. As long as it can be controlled. Maybe if it is a non fatal poison?
>>35765063I don't think poison is a hard rule for the workings of nurgle. You're thinking of australia.

>>35764493You wink at Cinder and speak over Ignitrix’s rambling. “I understand, sweetie. But I do have to apologize! I left your gift down in the Garden. Do you mind waiting?” “N-No…” The Lady of Change shoots a furtive glance at Cinder, whose tail is still wagging. “You don’t have to get me anything though...” She’s being sincere best you can tell. “Shhh. Had I known I would have had something prepared. Just give me a bit, okay~?” With that you back up around the corner. Lingering just for a moment, you hear the bird sniff and then eep. It takes you perhaps an hour to make the round trip. Along the way you work with Sytili and the computer to come up with two presents. The first is a stuffed doll, more specifically one of Cinder herself. The second is a flower from your garden, one that is self-sustaining and perpetually changes color. Both in hand, you once again make some noise before rounding the bend. The two daemons are much as you left them, though they’ve brought out chairs into the hallway.“Sweets too? My, someone’s getting spoiled~” you tease as you finally join them. Between bites, you offer out the doll and the flower. “I thought she would be the perfect companion for that Blood Dragon. And this way Cinder doesn’t even have to be around for you to hug her~” Ignitrix carefully takes the doll like one would a baby and nuzzles against it. This time it’s Cinder who goes a deeper shade of red. Afterwards the Lady of Change turns to the flower and raises an eyebrow. “What about the flower?”“A clipping from my garden. It will never die and constantly changes color. I figured the constant change might be something you’d enjoy.”“That’s… actually really thoughtful…” She immediately fashions it to sit alongside her chaos-themed headwear before looking at the pair of you with watery eyes. “T-T-Thank you both, I… I...”(cont)
>>35765348Her wings flutter, then she dives into her room while mumbling something incomprehensible. Poor thing must have finally had too much. Cinder simply chuckles and offers out Ignitrix’s vacated seat. “Well that should keep her happy for a good long while. Since you’re here, how is our Tyranid friend doing?”> No complaints! We'll pick up with some combination of and next time in KQ #15. 3am, Gdocs being dumb, and all thatI know it was a shorter session content-wise but we covered what needed to be covered. Hopefully this gives Acerea the depth she needed and provided the rollercoaster of emotions the threads usually do.Q&A as usual.
>>35765635How lewd is the lewd between Lewdthirster and Lady of Lewd?
>>35765732Not lewd in the slightest.
>>35765752You bring great darkness upon us all.You are a horrible person.
>>35765780I curse you with Lacklewd. You will never know personal Lewd. The Lewd is lost to you.
>>35765635I thought the Mechanicus part was dumb and angsty.
>>35766056Like, a character doesn't need a tragic backstory to be complex. Since this is like the third tragic backstory you've put into the quest, it's starting to get a little old. I was fine with her being a plain old moon gardener, but then Acerea was a woman, and then she was a plaguewoman, or maybe she was just a plague, but she was still Acerea? Also, slective amnesia is one of the worst plot devices in that it is overused and nonsensical.
>>35766056I thought it was humanizing in a traditionally 40K grimdark sort of a way. A little reminder that of the individual and how they suffer and all of that.
>>35766141Third tragic backstory? How do count that? This is the first I find genuinely tragic.
>>35766141Sytili made the excellent point that it doesn't affect who she is now. Maybe it provides context but it doesn't suddenly mean she's any less the Acerea we know. As for the amnesia or mental block or whatever you want to call it, such things are pretty well covered as being an actual part of Nurgle's Rot.
>>35766141Besides, who cares about the past? This backstory was useless except for a vague goal of "Hey, go chat up some Eldars or kill them or whatever." We didn't get to use this information from our past to affect the present at all, in fact, the only thing we got to do in the present was make some presents for the Main Character's best friend. Unless there is another Nurglette oneshot or Acerea suddenly brings up her plan to convert some Eldar to Cinder and Ignitrix (which is probably how this plan should've been conveyed to the players), it seems like this plan will either take a lot of threads to develop, what with Acerea's introverted nature, or be the players' next priority because they can never not metagame and utilize information the MC (Cinder) does not have.. Also, where was the "Tactical Gardening Action"? All we got to do was make gifts and move tyranids around. This oneshot wasn't actiony, it was full of crying and hugging. I expected us to at least START corrupting the Blood Ravens' geneseed and their battle barge too.
>>35766319Basically, Nurglette oneshot came about too early to be as good as it could have been, and we should have instead focused on Cinder presenting her gift to Iggy and the ensuing reaction.
>>35766319>Acerea suddenly brings up her plan to convert some Eldar to Cinder and IgnitrixAnd that's what's great about this whole thread. There is now a canon reason why our Chaos Ranger squad will never include Slaaneshis.I don't care what anybody thinks, this was masterfully handled on your part ELH. Bravo.
>>35766319>Acerea's introverted natureYou've pointed out the cause of 90% of what you've complained about. She's simply NOT the extroverts the other two MCs are. This wasn't about actually moving the story along so much as giving us a chance to see behind the ara. If anything I'm amazed she opened up THAT much to a relative stranger and a tyranid to boot. Also not every oneshot needs to satisfy some quota of action or reach so many milestones. Hell there are quests that literally spend entire threads on a single conversation.
>>35766359In fact, can KQ #15 start where it would have originally started if not for Nurglette oneshot? I'd much rather read about the two characters who are actually interesting than read about the one whose only claim to fame is that she has a tragic backstory which makes her act like an anime archetype all the time.
>>35766464Fuck off Vaelys. Or start saging your posts.
>>35766442>This wasn't about actually moving the story along so much as giving us a chance to see behind the ara.And seeing what made her tick made no sense.>"I act like a mother because I never had one!"HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT WORK?>"Dur, my memories must've rotted 'cuz Nurgle!"THEN HOW WERE THEY ABLE TO DREDGE THEM BACK UP?>"I like rot except when it happens to me!"GEE, WHAT A HYPOCRITE.
Well, I'm looking forward to the next KQ, and sincerely hope it doesn't have more of the dumbest plot-points borrowed from Final Fantasy 7 in it. Though seeing how this oneshot went, I should probably despair that everyone will be getting a tragic backstory where thew Imperium shot their dog.
>>35766648I think you're just being a bitch right now.
>>35766672Yep, total bitch>>35766572You too
>>35766672One of the dogs was a bitch, and it was also pregnant, which is why Cultist Johnny decided to follow Cinder across the galaxy to enact his revenge upon the Imperium.
>>35766693>Being this butthurt
>>35766701One girl's doggy got raped, sodomized, and murdered by a guardsman, which is why she became Slaaneshi whore to inflict even worse pain on that guardsman.
>>35766723You are completely assravaged.
>>35766648>>35766686>>35766693What is with /tg/ today? I swear, in every other thread I've come across there is exactly ONE anon who just pisses and moans about everything. Literally everything. I can't tell if there is something weird going on on the webs that I'm not aware of or if there is just one person out there with more sand in their vagina than the Saharan Desert. I mean, honestly.
>>35766733Hey, all I've done is discover ELH's method to writing complex characters: giving them unnecessarily tragic backstories and then exploiting a character trait like "TSUNTSUN" or "ARA ARA~"
>>35766757Uh dude, the only "tragic backstory" is Acerea, and that was short, simple and entirely reasonable for her character. Now you can make the case that she isn't that complicated, and that'd be mostly right, but it's not like she lacks the capacity for depth at all. Nurgles bunch just tend to be simple, so far as I can tell.Maybe you should just... find some other quest to pay attention to?
>>35766837Nurgle cults are born out of trauma, hopelessness and despair. If anything, this made acreaquest rather canonical. Complaining about tragic backstories of nurgle worshippers basically means someone's being a clueless faggot.
>>35766837>Nurgles bunch just tend to be simplePretty much."Are you loving life and having fun? Yes? Cool. Keep doing that."Also this: >>35766854. Nurgle is HUGELY about finding hope in decay and corruption.
>>35766757No really, you were the same anon on /wst/ earlier who tried to tell everyone that the author of LCB was complete shit aren't you? You use a similar syntax and level of butthurt. In any case, nobody cares that you don't want anyone to have fun, or that you think everything everyone likes is terrible. I know you won't stop posting because I ask you to, but I feel I ought to let you know you're wasting your time.
So.... Sytili Oneshot when?I'm calling born alone on the Hulk...And was never a Human at any point...
>>35766745I just disagree with ELH's idea that Acerea needs to be made more complex than she already is with a hamfisted backstory that was already taken care of with "Oh, I was born on a moon and immediately went to tend to Nurgle's garden." The Mechanicus story where she got plagued to death and rebirth (how?) just made her origins weird and confusing.
>>35766868Considering Zoanthropes aren't formed from humans the second part's at least right. As for how she got on the Hulk it could be literally anything. Born there, remnant of another fleet, came from another ship, you name it.
>>35766876Simple really:Magos Biologus was looking for a cure for nurgle's rot. Ended up making a fuck ton of nurgle daemons by accident instead, because of inadequate purification protocols.
>>35766894This. I have no idea where weird and confusing come from.
>>35766894Way to put it in a nutshell. The astounding ineptitude of the Cult Mechanicus shows itself once more.
>>35766894>>35766904>"My origins are rather simplistic actually. There’s a moon elsewhere in the Calixis sector that just happens to intersect with a Warp Storm. A small one, but enough that it corrupted the moon utterly.”>a Warp Storm
>>35766929And? The origin of the corruption presence and the point of manifestation doesn't have to be the same spot.
>>35766943Speak in layman's terms, please.
>>35766943I don't see her telling the truth to other daemons anyway, even after she remembers it. That'd be daft, especially with a confidante still outside the current daemon-powerstructure.
>>35766950The dude's saying that those aren't mutually exclusive. Acerea gets a nice introduction to Nurgle's disease at the same time a warp storm goes by, and by their power's combined, she becomes a daemon.
>>35766943Okay, so the warp storm was going on already, and the techpriests were trying to fix it, so they experimented on a little girl, which backfired FOR SOME REASON despite all the safety measures taken, and then the little girl became a plague monster instead of y'know, dying, because Nurgle loves turning little girls into busty, voluptuous women. Why did she get elevated if the warp storm was already spreading across the moon and wrecking people's shit?
>>35766950Her mortal form died in Magos lab of Nurgle's Rot, and she was reborn in his garden in a venomous flower as a daemon. Then a plague swept across a backwater moon somewhere, causing enough of a disturbance to create a warp storm and draw her into the materium.
>>35766998Why her though, what made her special?
>>35767013Nothing. That's how Nurgle's Rot works. Unless they are completely destroyed they become a plaguebearer. The Warp Storm thing is just a bit of flavor to explain why a moon-sized Warp garden is in realspace
>>35766996>FOR SOME REASONMY EXPERIMENT WILL BE INFECTING TEST SUBJECTS WITH THE MOST VIRULENT, HERETICAL DISEASE IN THE GALAXY. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? ...WHY ARE YOU PULLING OUT YOUR BOLT PISTOL, MILORD INQUISITOR?
>>35766996>FOR SOME REASONThey worship a fucking toaster and have a vague idea of how engines work. How can you possibly be surprised by this?
>>35767022Hm.Well, Acerea better start worrying about her ranking as a plaguebearer, 'cuz that kid she fuckin' melted in Thread #3 might just overtake her.Seriously, all this delving into her personal history strikes me as unnecessary and makes her origins less impressive, what with her being formed from a little girl who caught a plague.
This thread was a big waste of time, which could have been spent on doing more productive things, like tactically cultivating some Blood Ravens into being corrupted by Chaos or something fun, but no, instead what was focused on was Acerea's past that we already knew the important details of. Also, we didn't get to play as Cinder when she presented Iggy with her gift. All in all, a waste.
>>35767154You just seem like you're on a dedicated trolling mission tonight.
Is it just me, or is /tg/ a lot more hostile tonight? Not just in this thread, but all over the place.
>>35766160Why does a daemon need humanizing? Acerea is not human, and nothing that happened before she started life as a daemon should matter nor should it be mentioned, as it lessens her awesomeness as a daemon. The Mechanicus part was just grotesque and disturbing for the sake of elaborating on things that don't need it.
>>35767213http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3qj-R5oWYUis pretty much why.
>>35767229Because it makes for a better story.
>>35767229>Acerea is not human, and nothing that happened before she started life as a daemon should matter nor should it be mentioned, as it lessens her awesomeness as a daemon.Ignitrix would like a word.Thank go we've hit sage
If I knew that this thread would be what we did instead of what OP said in the vote last thread then I would have voted very differently
>>35767248I'dve voted twice as hard for this. Your tears are delicious.
>>35767242Ignitrix earned her spot as a daemon through achieving something as a human, and thus, the deed of achieving daemonhood should be praised, not the human.
>>35767240What, the rape gerbil thread? How the fuck did that turn /tg/ into a frothing board of butthurt and rage so intense Khorne himself would look upon it and think,"damn, now THIS is how I to spend my weekends off".
>>35767292I know, right? I thought that thread was fucking funny, and I thought this quest was pretty neat. But, for some reason, the nerdrage is high today. Winter depression, maybe?
>>35767241Not unless we get to fight the exact same Mechanicus who killed her, and the odds of that are very, very, very slim. Or maybe she would share with him the gift she received.
>>35767325Also, it's debatable whether or not she would still be mad at him at this point.
>>35767310Or one dedicated anti funner. That seems to be the case in Merc's quest right now also. Post times further support that theory.
>>35767347Reading about a 12-year-old girl getting torn apart by the cells from a plague is fun to you?
>>35767363Yes, yes it is. Problem?
>>35767386>I get mental trauma from HamletIt was done tastefully and without being unnecessarily explicit, while still maintaining an impact. I liked it.
>>35767405What impact did it have?
>>35767347To be honest, I'm one of the anons, bitching about how he completely blanked on our gunship in today's quest, but I feel that is a legitimate gripe with his handling of the thread.Conversely, I am also one of the anons arguing that this Nurglette quest was pretty cool. We now have a reason to tell those Slaaneshi whores to go fuck themselves, and now have the possibility of Khornate/Tznetchian/Nurgle Eldar. I am OK with this. Also hamsters have now conclusively been established as seriously evil little bastards, which is very true. Kill em all I say.
>>35767405>implying Hamlet doesn't give everyone mental traumaI jest, I jest
>>35767427We already had a reason to tell those Slaaneshi whores to go fuck themselves: We don't like them. All this thread really gave Acerea was a mission that she had to REMEMBER thanks to AMNESIA.
>>35767428>Hilarity.I like :D>>35767425It was an unpleasant moment, which the story needs. It can't be all kawaii and lulviolence, or it'd honestly get pretty boring pretty fast. A mechanicus fuck-up on this level both fits the setting nicely -and- provides a counterpoint in tone to other elements of the story. It also hints at a theme of this trio, perhaps, actually being daemon princes altogether, which may or may not be correct, and allows for speculation, which in turn maintains interest. >>35767427>Hamsters are evilFuck yes.
>>35767459I actually think it tied in well with what we intended to do. We were going to head after Eldar next, this just further reinforces that and gives us a clear objective as to what we will do there.
>>35767472The story does not need unpleasant moments if they're completely irrelevant. That shit happened to a little girl named Acerea, not Acerea.
>>35767507We also have an AI aboard our ship and sufficient archaeotech to make us a point of interest for the mechanicus. Eventually, we are bound to run into them. This gives us an option to make that encounter more...personal. It's better to kill an enemy you know, than a random mook.
>>35767522But that was the origin of Acerea.
>>35767531A warp-storm on a moon was the origin of Acerea as we know her. When one tells at the story of a person's life, do they describe how the sperm penetrated the egg and started the process of pregnancy? NO, they start out with a baby. Sometimes, they skip the baby part and focus on that person when they are capable of doing things.
>>35767554I already explained why mechanicus involvement is likely above. This is a foreshadowing. That quite a few people didn't catch it makes it a good one.
>>35767554I disagree. When you tell the story of someone's life, you MUST include where they come from and the circumstances that they grew up in. That is exceedingly important. That's why you see it in EVERY biography.
>>35767528I say we feed them to the hamsters. Wait, actually, that might just be pleasing to Slaanesh, probably shouldn't risk it.
>>35767602We have now established Hamster = Slaanesh. The conspiracy is beginning to unravel...
>>35767597And Nurgle created her and she came from his garden after blooming from a flower. Location and circumstances are there, and there isn't even a need to show that fucked up scene with the little girl dying.
>>35767626You want...a happy origin story...in warhammer 40k?
>>35767626You must be trolling. The biggest part being: You're on 4chan and you are somehow upset at a girl's fictional death.
>>35767642I was satisfied with Acerea's origin story as it was before this Mechanicus bullshit.
>>35767656I wasn't. Acerea was rather flat as a character.
>>35767656You mean the generic, catch-all lie she told a couple strangers, one of whom is a Tzeenchan? That origin story?
>>35767659One's past does not make them flat, it's their thoughts and deeds that determine that.>>35767669>the generic, catch-all lie>lieAh, I'd like to see your proof for this one.
>>35767707>Apparently did not read thread.
>>35767720Again, besides the trauma hidden deep within her head, what reasoning do you have that it was a lie and not just some generic invaluable truth?
>>35767739>invaluableFuck, I mean the OPPOSITE of that. You know, the opposite of valuable. Cheap? Affordable.
>>35767739>Still hasn't read the thread. >Assumes daemons are truthful and honest.>To their enemies.
>>35767754>To their friends even
>>35767754Khornates are honorable, Nurglites are friendly, and Tzeentcheans only speak half-truths for maximum fun.
>>35767761Same thing with daemons, in the long run. ;)
>>35767754Maybe you should stop assuming people/daemons are worse than you, and start assuming that they are just as good as and maybe even a bit better than you.
>>35767786Do you even 40k?
>>35767798Do you even KQ? We just had a birthday party in this thread.
>>35767798Space Marine pls
>>35767472>It also hints at a theme of this trio, perhaps, actually being daemon princesses altogether, which may or may not be correct, and allows for speculation, which in turn maintains interest. At the rate Acerea is proceeding, she isn't likely to become Nurgle's heir anytime soon. Given the title of this quest, tactically gardening actions could have risen her infamy, but instead she spent all her time in flashbacks, helping the tyranids move in, and getting two gifts ready.
>>35767843Shocking thought: What if she's not supposed to be his replacement? Or what if Nurgle's not one of the one's fucking off to places unknown?
>>35767856Probably, for after all, she was originally just some little girl who caught a plague.
>>35767862Why can't she just be a child of Nurgle and Isha? That "originally a 12-year-old human" thing is lame as hell, and boring since Ignitrix already fills the role of elevated human.
>>35767923So >>35765267 can be true.
>>35768009Well then who da fuck is Tiger?
>>35768040Haha, even Khorne would call that heresy.
>>35765267I hope not. That would be a terrible twist.
>>35756893>https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10H9COxlc2Qaqkx5DTaihQJHazhc-_KKIS-Aon-VxluA/edit?usp=sharingThat just takes me to Cinder's sheet with no option of switching it to Acerea's sheet.
>>35768091Look at the bottom of the sheet.
>>35768150Ah thank you! I guess you could say it was right under my nose!
>>35768009I just wish her origin story wasn't so mundane. She used to be all mystical and shit, but now it's like when Shadow the Hedgehog started using guns.
>>35768231It doesn't bother me as hard as the guys further up. But I personally dislike making a non-human character more relatable by "it was a human all along". I see no particular reason why it needed to be the case of Acerea. We already had a character that explored that angle, with Ignitrix. But, I don't think it will come up much, so its not a big deal. Just a writing practice that bothers me.
>>35765190heh...>nurgle is the living incarnation of australia
> 6 hours of constant baitI mean how much anal pain do you have to be in to samefag and whine THIS hard over a simple backstory explanation? Even if it's not a dedicated troll from /wst/ it's pretty sad. So much for FAIR AND BALANCED application of Global 3
>>35768922You can even see him getting more and more desperate to actually make people mad when things progress. The real reaction I see most though is: "LOL, you retard".
Hmm, I dozed off (hard cider is fantastic!) but the thread's still up? Cool:>>35762652I support this wholeheartedly.>>35765348>>35763066 >>35763083>>35763814This sounds pretty cool.>>35763751>Undivided sans purple>giant bug with the body/skills of a warrior, body language/etiquette of a MILF, and cunning/intellect of a nerdWith all your powers combined, she is my fetish. I'm really not contributing anything but that here.>>35767472I agree.>>35767528Why kill what you can corrupt?Though I do like the idea of Acerea tapping into Khorne's rage on the handful of occasions something actually ticks her off (Vern's death, the cogboy if she takes her creation personally)>>35767923>>35768284Read the thread.
