>>35573786This was my earlier postJob Suggestions:Water god tradition duelist should use heavy armor, not light.Rework of sword god tradition: The sword god weapon trick gives +initiative. Sword of Light replaces fleche - Attack one target, do bonus damage equal to the difference in initiative. Only works on targets you have higher initiative than. Gives -50 pdv/armor against that target. Double just doubles the bonus from sword god style weapon trick every 10 levels. New Elemental Tricks:Echo spell - same spell, same target, same mana cost as last spell cast by anyone in combat.Star elemental type - requires 3xhybrid, 50 elemental skill. Lets you cast untyped damage spells at 4x your normal mana limits. Cannot by hybridized. Spell shield - requires wall, 60 elemental skill. Select int bonus/2 targets. Create a small mobile wall that hovers near you. Any attack by those targets against you is intercepted by the wall. Wall has normal durability and HP. Can use painwalls if you have the trick.Pierce Magic - requires spell penetration. Halve the damage of any attack spell, and instead lower a target's SR by the difference, up to 3/4 of the target's SR rounded down. Lasts until the end of your next turn. Dense Magic - requires Pierce Magic. +30 mana surcharge on spells that does not affect damage. Renders a spell immune to abilities that negate magic. Guardian trick is a specific exception.

>>35575226Are there any particular rules for crafting, or is it just "think of something to make with your materials"?
>>35575379To be honest, not yetI want to be a function of your craftsmen level and how well you roll dex or int while crafting, to determine quality. I think level 50 crafters should be able to make [dine] quality regularly.Thats 50 levels total in craftsman jobs. For example 20 craftsman/30 artisanBut honestly i havent been inspired about it beyond that, yetMaybe give items a DC based on quality, and your overall craftsman level lowers that DC, then you roll Dex or Int against it
>>35575378I don't know they're current tricks, but:They're job specializes in disable, right? >>35575378It is funny when you look at it, we are conditioning and then training our 2 future wives, they will likely both end up with appearance or charisma scores over 150 or more by the time we marry at likely ~15ish.Mako will be ultra-cute the same as Lyann. Lyann just likely needs some charisma training to round her out a little bit.

>>35575554>Ami gets>Armor piercing, Ambidexterity and WwipeWwipe should be Swipe.
>>35575554Yknow, looking at offensive melee tricks, I think you should modify Swipe so it has 3 ranks max, then add something like Wind Roar - requires swipe x3, wind blade x3 - hit all targets in a 30 foot cone in front of you with a melee attack.
>>35575531>Lyann just likely needs some charisma training to round her out a little bit.We can level her Singer and Healer jobs up to 20.

>>35575966>103(+14) Melee WeaponsSo...she's better with a sword than Dad?
>>35576070I was thinking, for purposes of dungeon diving, that we'd just keep getting her T1 jobs to 20 for now. Outside the dungeon she'd stick with Devadasi so she gets the respect she deserves and has access to her dances. Beyond that, Ginaz Swordsman is damned powerful. Also curious what the prophet class is like. But generally, I'd say we should wait on heavily leveling her T2 classes. Stick to unlocking for now.
>>35576078she knows more tricks, at least>>35576116I agree with pretty much all of thatWell guys Im gonna go to bed now. These eyes of mine need their rest. I'll see you tomorrow in 12-13 hours, take care
>>35576070Devadasi is a good "main" job for her.Maybe Dungeoneer too, for card farming.
>>35576078We optimized, that means grabbing a bunch of easy low level classes to level, got more xp so she is tankier.I think it would be funny if Mako at some point grabs paladin levels for extra tankiness. I can't imagine her as a crusading paladin.
>>35576172Don't forget about that surgery thing. Glaucoma ain't something I want killing a perfectly good QM.

>>35576250all my dawwalso, dad is a paladin so he will approve
>>35576402I feel pretty, oh so pretty?I think it would be easier to convince him to level craftsman.
>>35576456Sure, but we want him to get Bladedancer so his level is equal with the group and everyone gets full xp.
>>35576172Hope tech continues its exponential growth curve. I'd like to see cyber-eyes become a thing soon, if only because that'd get you back to 100 percent and able to both draw again and maintain your ability to run this.Bio-tech would also do this. Would also give us RL monstergirls too. I want that so bad...
>>35576474Bet he agrees as long as he does not actually have to dance and we never mention it again.I think Brass would actually get along fine with our uncle next door also.
>>35576564>Uncle meets 100+ appearance Brass, they go out drinking and picking up chicks>Brass ends up getting all the wiminz with his swag>Uncle goes home and cries.
>>35576591Uncle could likely do well working with us for some optimizing. We just got an amazing amount of levels to push our hp and other stats up.It looks like most classes you push to level 20, unlock all abilities and then pus lower level classes more for stats. Get 1 main class tree to max, then go and push low level classes to 20-30 for easy stats.
>>35576659>Get 1 main class tree to max, then go and push low level classes to 20-30 for easy stats. It's the reverse, actually. Get all your T1 jobs up to 20 for stats, then start pushing on the T2's. We're almost done with our T1 jobs if we did get 13 levels for everything, but we still need to unlock and level singer. Monk and avenger are also probably not 20 yet. Once we start pushing into the T2's, we should focus on monk and thaumaturge, probably. Thaumaturge has good caster stats, and unlocks two other jobs that seem nice. Monk has great stats, gives us master monk which is flat immune to basic attacks and comes with a rez. While that's going on we have to learn dancer, barbarian and mamluk from someone else because those job trees are stupidly powerful.
>>35576837Well yeah for us, but I am talking about those who did not push to min/max like us.Normal people.Of course scion is stupidly rare also, I would figure with so many slaves out there, scion would be more common, but likely people use them to farm easy stuff instead of high risk stuff in dungeons.
>>35576837you can continue pushing the T1s for stats past 20.and the high tier jobs can be disabled/enabled as needed to avoid XP drain from party level mismatch
>>35577078>I would figure with so many slaves out there, scion would be more commongetting to class level 100 is ridiculously hard. it takes a metric fuckton of XP.and even when you do, you then have to know about the job and get a priest to switch you to it
>>35577470True. You unlocked the secret job, but never knew enough to enable it.
>>35577470>>35577078fyi, if the disgaea table is really being used, levelling up from 99 to 100 takes more than twice as much xp than 98-99
>>35577646yea. its part of why its so insanely useful to be a scion and spread it out between jobs
Can we get multiple levels of the armor proficiency to raise our physical defense with them?
>>35578024Ok, so just get 1 of each, and if we have them from class or job we get the bonus.
Looking for minimal jobs required to get 100% crit from stealth now that I can read rune knight, it seems you needActive:Rune knight (+25% crit as free action), Fremen (Kris Knife, +25% crit out of stealth), Artisan (+10% crit passive), +5% crit base chanceSupport: Lord (+5% crit aura), Virtuoso (+5% crit song)Inactive:Ginaz Swordsman (+25% crit as stance)That's an automatic crit out of stealth, each crit gets a free elemental spell cast at our normal spell limits, without tricks. This spell will have a 75% chance to crit, due to Sharp Spell. Then you Re-enter stealth due to the crit. AddingActive:Weaponthane(flurry on charge, charge on kill), Fedaykin (move action stealth)Support:Shaman(extra move action)Inactive:Ranger(3x damage out of stealth)Then every crit out of stealth hits 3x as hard, you can start your turn by entering stealth and charging, which grants 6 basic attacks. Total damage would be 6(critical melee damage * 3 + critical spell damage of sphere level). Assuming critical damage is 1.5x normal damage, that would be 6(1.5*62*3+*.75*1.5*(20*3+15)) = 2180 damage. This is with our current stats and spellcasting limits against a 0 armor/SR target. So the actual number will be lower, but consider that to even unlock weaponthane, fedaykin, and ginaz swordsman we'd have +500 strength or so. That's...a lot. Once the target dies you charge towards the next one and do it all over again. This costs 8mp per attack, or 42 per charge.
>>35579288>6(1.5*62*3+*.75*1.5*(20*3+15)) = 2180 damage.that's a bit wrong. You forgot to count for magic damage that DOESN'T crit>Sneak Attack – Whenever you hit a foe's PDV while using Stealth, you deal triple damage.I don't think the magic attack benefits from sneak attack>4MP – Sharp Spell: You can use Runic Spell as a free action at any time. Your NEXT spell against an adjacent foe has +25% chance to score a critical hit. Multiple instances of Sharp Spell do not stack.Sharp spell only lasts for one spellso the spell part would be (.75*1.5+.25+.5*1.5*5+.5*5)(spell damage without sneak attack)
>>35579288>>35579780actually,>4MP – Magic Sword: You can use Magic Sword as a free action at any time. Your next basic attack against an adjacent foe has +25% chance to score a critical hit. Multiple iterations of Magic Sword do not stack.that only accounts for the first attack as well, so this calculation got REALLY complicated
>>35579780The iterations thing on magic sword is to keep you from casting it 4 times on a single attack and getting 100% crit, not to keep you from casting it on all attacks in a flurry. You cast magic sword, you attack, and then magic sword fades from you. You then cast it again for the next attack. Sneak attack wasn't affecting magic damage in the above equation. 20*3 was our mana limit * damage ratio. It's how much damage a 2nd sphere spell can do at maximum. And the non-crit magic damage was accounted for by the .75*1.5 multiplier, as we have a 75% chance to crit. The damage calculation thus gives expected damage.
>>35581690Oh wait, you're right about the non-crit thing. Should be (.75*1.5+.25)(20*3+15) for magic damage.Total expected damage would be 2293.
>>35581800One thing to note about this combo is the mana efficiency. You can cast any sphere level for free, so you could doing damage as if you'd spent 100mp, while only actually spending 8 for the crit boosters. Pumping up our elemental skill heavily benefits this. For us to be able to use the basic version of the combo, we'd need to learn mamluk and then get mamluk 20 -> Janissary 20.I'd put this as our third priority goal. First priority would be getting all T1 jobs to 20. Second would be getting White Monk and Thaumaturge to 20. Third priority would be Arcanist and Janissary to 20. One thing I do wonder now is how Thaumaturge's free casting passive interacts with Rune knight's free elemental casting passive. Does it go crit physical attack->elemental spell->divine spell? If so, you'd not only get damage from this combo but a huge swarm of summoned minions.

>>35582257I don't know too much about samurai archery. Pretty sure "shoot 10 arrows before the first lands" is from a different culture, and when I think "japanese archery" I keep thinking of shrine maidens with holy fire arrows.Melee should be an extension of Bushido. 100% accuracy attacks that trade blows with the opponent, but grant increased damage and maybe cancel reaction abilities.
>>35582257Just from looking at the current job list, I feel samurai should be a ranged T1 noble class rather than have it be entirely separate. You're quickly running into the problem of overlapping job abilities with melee stuff, while ranged combat is basically untouched.

>>35582416How about something like Shirou's Mind of Steel since he's one of the best Japanese archer on fiction. As far I can remember a part of Japanese Archery Philosophy is shooting oneself not just the arrow or something. So a True Kyuudoka has no need to watch once the arrow is shot because as the arrow they would hit where they wanted. Maybe a skill that allows you to mentally control the arrow or hit as if you attack them in close range?
>>35582452Daimyo's armory: Summon phantasmal copies of your liege lord's most prized weapons and fire them at all enemies in front of you.

>>35582721>yes. Was gonna ask if you guys want to go arcanist or rune knight now. Well we can technically go with both, but T2 jobs earn exp as level 21+ jobs, eachThe way I see it, Eldric should have every job that gives a passive or a unique ability turned on outside of the dungeon. So for us, that would be Assassin, Knight, Healer, Arcanist, Thaumaturge, Rune Knight, Monk, Bounty Hunter, Beastlord.Inside the dungeon we use Noble/scion/job1/job2 to make sure we level at the same rate as everyone else. And for now, we should focus on getting all our T1 classes to 20 in the dungeon, so we'd start with like Noble/scion/Knight/Healer, then progress to Noble/Scion/Monk/Avenger.
>>35582778>The way I see it, Eldric should have every job that gives a passive or a unique ability turned on outside of the dungeon.This.Reminds me of Kamidori Alchemy Master's 3 main heroines. You can only equip one costume per heroine and get that costume's elemental and status buffs, but if you've unlocked actives/passives on the other armors, you can equip them if you have the slots available.Flurry, Prevail and Undress too OP.
>>35582498I dig wanting to access a kind of UBW or GoB in some form, but I'm having trouble justifying it. This ain't the nasuverse and we ain't Shirou.I do wonder if reinforcement and/or projection magecraft is possible. MC was a fa/tg/uy, the likelihood of him knowing about these concepts is thus quite high, as /tg/ has a hard on for the WoD and by extention the nasuverse. They are *very* similar to one another after all.
>>35582853Time stop + invisible bag of holding/item boxes + a shitton of sharp implements = ghetto Gate of Babylon? There's nothing about sending those sharp things flying to the enemy, so it'll only end up like ZA WARUDO or something.

>>35582937We need to introduce this world to steam rollers... for reasons.
>>35582960Sadly, Eldric's past life wasn't a mechanical engineer, but a chemical one.... suddenly had a line of thought ending with Breaking Bad for a while there.
>>35582996That's the evil route. I don't see Eldric going down that one given past behavior, but he could totally be another Heisenberg. Cooking Meth is chemistry after all, and we could put this whole world on our magical boat so to speak...But that would be bad, and he doesn't seem like a bad person. Besides, I don't want to see what becomes of Lyann or Aura if they get a hardcore need for the glass-grade crystal.
>>35583030"Cures and poisons are sometimes the same, only different in quantities."So maybe not drugs. Antiseptics or the like.
>>35583093Some drugs are good, only with a potential to be abused. Morphine is a good thing, ask any surgery patient. It's also addictive though, so gotta give people a clear warning.I can see some good coming out of pharmaceutical introduction, but ya gotta be real careful about that. I wouldn't show anyone how to cook crystal, but showing them how to get things like penicillin or morphine may improve the standard of living.Awww fuck it, once we show them how to into chemistry we've opened the box. It's already in the process of happening.
>>35582627>426 WisWe would murder the fuck out of everything if we had druid.
>>35583142Though, I wonder how that would translate into an RPG world?1x [Morphine Vial]: User no longer suffers Flinching and takes no damage from non-critical attacks. Accumulated damage is returned when the effect wears off. Lasts ?? turns.
>>35583149Oh, and we can use 4th sphere elemental spells. So our damage there is 142, up from 75.
>>35582778We should also go to a priest and unlock singer for ourselves. The Charisma boost will be very helpful.
>>35583149Our summon spells are actually really damned badass. That's 426 Strength, Dexterity and Con. Though I am a bit confused at how Power Summons trick interacts with the summon stats. Does it mean that attack bonus is Strength bonus+Wis bonus? Or that at base, the attack bonus for a summon is 0? If it's the former, our summons are the tankiest tanks that ever tanked, and do crazy damage.
>>35582627>17103 damage for Dragon Force/Die for PowerNext killer mushroom we meet is fucked.
>>35583675What are the chances of finding a Mushroom Boss in a forest somewhere?
>>35583734No idea. We haven't done much exploration of the surface world.
back>>35582747do you have that image where lancer calls himself the king of NTR?
>>35583767I don't, sorry.
>>35582778oh btw, what do you want to do about Lyann now? fremen?tbh, I dont really see it, she's not a stabby type
>>35583805Next dungeon run? Get her dancer up to 20. That should take roughly the same time as Mako getting her Idol to 10, and then we can swap Lyann to singer and Mako to dancer.
>>35583825So between Lyann and Mako, singing and dancing is covered, but Lyann will spec into Devadasi and Mako takes some tanky/Leader jobs?
>>35583873Devadasi isn't really a spec. It's a good job for her to have outside dungeons because of its social implications and abilities, but it's not that strong in combat. Unlocking Ginaz Swordsman and then going Fedaykin? That's strong. You'd get every Blade ability and have Stalk to boot. Dancer has the problem of not having any advanced versions of itself, just hybrids. She already has almost every Dance ability. If you don't want Lyann to be a mamluk-type, then we should probably get her thaumaturge 20, 1 level in Alchemist and Spellchanter, then swap her back to a seducer. She'll have a number of Arcane abilities along with Dance. But that's after we get all her T1 classes to 20. Can't give up those easy stats.
>>35582853that reminds me, is this a trailer or is an actual new series out?http://youtu.be/ghp8-KKdwNc>>35582942>A question, are you going to include the Wind Roar trickprobably but not right now. Sorry, but the sun outside was awfully strong and right now im extra blind. Give me a 1/2 hour or so. Got to add the rune knight and arcanist jobs to eldric first. And what are we adding to Lyann?
>>35582778>The way I see it, Eldric should have every job that gives a passive or a unique ability turned on outside of the dungeon.Rather then comparing the active abilities for overlap, its more straightforward to just enable all jobs outside a dungeon. After all, if we are fighting something outside a dungeon we are fighting for our lives, not for XP and loot (that is what dungeons are for)>Inside the dungeon we use Noble/scion/job1/job2 to make sure we level at the same rate as everyone else.It sounds like a bunch of effort for eldric, but fine lets do that. As long as we cycle out job1 and job2 to be our cheapest jobs to levelup.>And for now, we should focus on getting all our T1 classes to 20 in the dungeon, so we'd start with like Noble/scion/Knight/Healer, then progress to Noble/Scion/Monk/Avenger.I agree
>>35583988>Devadasi isn't really a spec. It's a good job for her to have outside dungeons because of its social implicationsIsn't the social implication that she is a nun married to the gods? I don't want to give her up to the gods.
>>35583805I want to get Lyann's Dancer, Healer, Wizard, Thief up to level 20 first. They're all T1 Jobs, and since we already have a Job that's above level 20, they'll get a bonus to XP.It's easy stats.
>>35584045>And what are we adding to Lyann?Just Singer 1 I think, to remind us that it's available to level.
>>35584045>And what are we adding to Lyann?Monk and Fremen.Or do you mean weapon tricks?
>>35584045There was a UBW movie a couple months back, and right now is a remake anime of UBW. For the most bit, Ufotable has blown DEEN out of the park.On a quick browse of /a/, some anons are complaining that Gae Bolg isn't being properly presented as a weapon that fucks up cause and effect, but it still looks cooler.
>>35584045Oh, if you mean weapon tricks, Lyann has what, 4 available now?Let's go with Armor Piercing x2, Swipe, Wind BladeAnd she has 1 divine trick, so go withPower Summons
>>35584045>that reminds me, is this a trailer or is an actual new series out?Actual series is out. Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, courtesy of ufotable.Episode 2 will be out tomorrow-ish.Will you be agreeing with making that spear/lance-centric job or will that be still under most of the melee classes?Crazy DEX gains with combined melee and semi-ranged attack feats, but with shitty or no LUK gains.(IIRC, samurai were expected to be proficient in multiple weapons like the aforementioned bow and spears as well, with the katana being a last resort weapon only.)
>>35584063>After all, if we are fighting something outside a dungeon we are fighting for our lives, not for XP and loot (that is what dungeons are for)I mean, yes, but at the same time if you have, say, Thaumaturge active, then making Wizard active gives you literally nothing. And the killer mushroom demonstrated that there are occasionally encounters on the surface world that grant significant xp, so trying to minimize active jobs while still having every ability is not wasted effort.
>>35584214True, but it just seems like a lot of micro management to do so which I would rather we avoided. Also, a completely different argument here, but in that case it gave a huge wad of XP that would be more beneficial to spread around into more classes.Wizards still gives up HP, MP, stats, and +Elemental magic per level. so there is benefit to leveling it up past 20
>>35583423at base, everyone's attack bonus is 0>>35584078pic related>>35584107both, i guessmyself i like the idea of raising her T1 jobs first, tbh>>35584142oh so its a remake of UBW? Heaven Feel's when? fuckOVA (and possibly its own TV series) soon, my gentlemanly friend of African descent.>I sort of want to add LUK E+ as a joke to the stat per level gainMaybe not stat gain, but as long as the job title is equipped, the character's LUK stat is stuck at a very, very low number.
>>35584301>myself i like the idea of raising her T1 jobs first, tbhI want to unlock Fremen while we can, as well as Monk, and then raise all T1 Jobs to level 20.That's Thief, Wizard, Healer, Dancer, Monk, Craftsman.Maybe have Lyann make lots of little trinkets, or chess sets to help spread chess among the dwarves, to raise her Craftsman level.
>>35584301>at base, everyone's attack bonus is 0Right, but I mean, a summon is supposed to get Str, Dex and Con equal to wisdom. Which implies that those values are used to calculate stuff like PDV, Armor, attack bonus, damage, etc. as normal. Then the trick says you add your wisdom bonus to those calculated values, which you basically are already doing because of how summons inherit stats. Simple example. Say you have Wisdom 100, casting a 2nd sphere summon.Does it have stats like200hp+10 attack bonus, 30+10 damageOr is it 200hp0 attack bonus, 30 damage?
>>35584360Oh yeah, that is a good point. Lyann should have Fremen 1, Gladiator 1, Janissary 1 in her inactive job list.
>>35584360She also has singer, don't forget.
