Well, it's a new thread, and just as a heads up, I'm probably going to just limit the last 6 rounds to this one thread in the interest of pacing. By day, you had to participate in the the tournaments, and by night, you had to repair all the wear and tear on your Gunpla to make sure it was ready for the next day's events. Since you only had no backup Gunpla, you had to make sure you Jester was in absolutely flawless condition. Thankfully, having Holly with you greatly helped with the workload, but often you found even then, you barely had enough time to eat, sleep, and update your status with your friends and family.Man, that break between preliminaries and the final brackets could not come soon enough! You recall that your next event would be...>Random Weapon Challenge>Wacky Races>Shooting Gallery>Gundam Soccer>King of the Hill>Other

>>35068410SoccerAnd that top note... man you are really rushing to end this it seems.
>>35068410That's right, it was the Random Weapon Challenge tomorrow, a popular favorite for the tournament. Essentially, this mean that fighters would have all of their weapons removed or disabled, and were only allowed to use a randomly determined weapon provided by the tournament staff. The weapons could be anything from hyper beam rifles and heat blades to paintball guns and baseballs. Part of the challenge was figuring out a way to use what you had to defeat your opponent, or so the organizers claimed. Really, it was just to see fighters get stuck in amusing positions. Then again, this wasn't unexpected. "I'm going to bed, Holly." You sigh. "You should get some sleep too.""In a minute." Holly says without even looking up from her work table. In between helping maintain the Jester, she had also been tirelessly crafting upgrades for it as well. Not an easy feat with the improvised toolset and materials she had on hand."Well, don't stay up too long, or I'm letting you sleep in and leaving you behind." You warn as you settle down in your bed.(cont)
>>35068836And of course, Holly oversleeps. Then again, to be fair, you had to report to the stadium a little earlier than usual since all the fighters had to draw lots for their weapons."Yo." Charlotte waves as you exit your room. "Not taking Holly with you?""She could use some more sleep, and the matches aren't starting just yet, anyways." You shrug. "I'll keep an eye on her." Lucina says. "You two better go.""Thanks, Lucina." You grin. Both you and Charlotte exit the dorms. You haven't actually talked to Charlotte much ever since the end of yesterday's Battle Royale. You sort of suspect that it had something to do with her going back into Rival Mode. What you also notice is that the both of you were starting to attract a lot of stares as you made your way to the stadium. You guess that after that theatrical ending to the Battle Royale, you and Charlotte stole a little more spotlight.Charlotte notices, too, and sighs, apprently resigned to her plight.>Just keep walking and giving no fucks.>Maybe you should take a more... concealed route.>Other

>>35068858You decide to just keep walking. Let them look all they want. You certainly won the crowd with that closing stunt!""Aw no, we were just blowing up something really big, that's all." You grin."Regardless! It was an excellent showing!" Ral nods. "And further proof that the established veterans still have something to fear from the new blood!""Well, it sort of helped that our enemies weren't very challenging." You shrug, remembering the horror that was those silly Black Tristar impersonators."Well, the point of the preliminaries is to weed out those who can't make the cut." Ral narrows his eyes. "Don't forget, you will eventually be facing more skilled opponents, so don't get overconfident. That has put an end to many promising fighters.""We'll remember that." Charlotte nods. "As newcomers, we still have a lot to prove.""That you do!" Ral laughs and slaps you both on the back again, propelling you two towards the the entrance. "Now go! Instead, it was all a matter of speed, since you needed to get to the finish line ahead of the other racers. Now, that's not to say that opponents couldn't attack each other, but most times fighters would go for minimum armaments in order to save on weight. However, Holly helped come up with a rather ingenious solution to help you out. As a temporary measure, she tied both of your Balls to a Base Jabber, making a sort of cobbled together chariot which she had taken to calling the Ball Racer. The thing looked utterly ridiculous, but you could see Holly reasoning. The Balls each had quite a bit of thrust, and were GN powered, as well. >>35076146just remember, SHE invited US to join the team. she only has herself to blame
>>35075907Nooooo Mr.Ral. Hope he gets better.
>>35076146we really need to have Holly build in some fireworks and confetti launchers into the Jester. that way when we win we can put on a real show. maybe even a harlequin hat for shits and giggles
>>35069031>Holly would exhaust herself trying to build a new model or repair the current JesterSo We Speed Racer our Jester. I like it.Hoping the last few matches and the days thereof are a little drawn out. Let us soak in the tournament atmosphere and revel in the drama and limelight. And hey when we finish everything up, there's always room for a season two later on down the line. I hope.
>>35076363Karen is now being flooded by requests for us to do birthday parties.
>>35076363The countermeasures launchers can be used for that. Flares instead of fireworks and chaff instead of confetti. We don't even have to make any modifications.
>>35076430What about weddings, do we do those too?
>>35076437Lets retcon in doing that at the end of the race right now
>>35076437Maybe make them more colorful somehow, to really get the entertainer vibe going. Also, what balls should we plan to add to the arsenal? I suggested a hydra ball earlier, designed to be a melee addition that also has fire on its side, also something that would be more like some of the kitbashes Chinan has done.
>>35076437fuck that's brilliant, Merc better be reading this
>>35076437We can have confetti chaff and rainbow smoke screens that go off with a honking nose sound.
We're slowly becoming the MC of YGO Arc-V
>>35076462only if it's Jack and Char's, their Gunpla can top the cake and dance
>>35076522I was thinking that we should divide it into three type of Balls. Two Interceptor Balls with light ranged weaponry and melee weapons to serve as scouts and harassers. Your Hydra Balls could work for that. Two Artillery Balls with missile racks and a paired railgun/beam cannon. And two of the Defender Balls for protection. A six-Ball rack was mentioned as a viable upgrade, so it's possible to carry that many. And if we could get GN Drives on all of them we'd be just incredibly broken. With three drives we could keep Trans-Am going for an extended fight. With seven we might never have to turn it off at all.
Next thing, everyone at school is going to do performance based suits
>>35076656>A six-Ball rack was mentioned as a viable upgrade, so it's possible to carry that many.if we had gotten the 4 ball rack upgrade earlier maybe, but Holly just finished the 4 ball rack in time for the finals and we won't have time for another 2
>>35076692and everyone quits Kenneth's team after realizing his play style is shit
>>35076698Maybe now that she's gotten the hang of it she can give us another rack just in time for the final fight with Char.
>>35076656I had an idea for a suicide ball.Give it grapple capabilities speed and shields. Have the core be from Turn-A and set to breach it's containment. It grabs the enemy then sucks them into a small black hole. For when we REALLY need something to die.
>>35076716that's a big maybe anon, but not impossible i guess
>>35076698Oh yeah, that's right. We decided to upgrade to the Jesta instead of getting the larger rack. Well, then, let's just improve the Dakka and Defender Ball designs. More firepower to the Dakka, faster response time to the Defender.
I wanna see an improved Ball trans-slam capability.
How small can we go with our balls? We could maybe have Holly hollow out the chest cavity of the Jester and fill it with mini balls, possible even a "fifth" ball that's actually several mini balls disguised as a regular ball. They could be suicide balls or maybe some kind of grapple/disable opponent's movement balls if that makes any sense
Welp, see you guys this Friday I guess.
What about mounting the quad wings from the Kshatriyas on our back then making it the ball holder? That would be six if it didn't block our shoulder mounts.
>>35076807That is no Ball, son. No Ball!
>>35076743And one heavy ball with a big railgun or something.
>>35076522That's good, but I was thinking we would have our loadout as:1 Dakka Ball1 Artillery/Long-range ball1 Defender ball1 Melee BallSo we cover all the bases, since we're a jack-of-all-tradesMy idea for the melee ball is a flail/morningstar ball. (I haven't watched any Gundam ever, so bare with me if I am extremely wrong here)It would have Chobham Armor, it would be covered in spikes/drills, maybe with the possible action of shooting them out, and it could have a small base where we can attach a whip too it, and swing it around like a flail.
>>35076858Only if it can also have mechanical spider legs... for... for stabilization. Ya, that's it.
>>35076872Good loadout, but I like one guys earlier idea where we hollow out the balls equater and give it a whisper quiet spinning beamsaber or heat knife type helicopter system.
>>35076872I like this with >>35076903 's reminder.I also approve of having a couple spare balls so we can mix and match types depending on the opponent.
Stupid idea here.Build a ball for ramming, give it the Stargazer system and build speed in the back at first.
We need a custom trump card before finals...
So who do you think we’ll fight in the final battle? There's 2 people I can imagine we fight in the epilogue. Pixy and his buddy, Cipher. All of which takes place in our local gunpla store.
>>35077044We come back and Kennith, having reformed over our absence and the summer, finds us at the local shop and asks for a rematch. The quest ends with us setting our bases down.
>>35077025full A.I. for our balls, even if only temporary it would fuck over so many opponents to fight 5 thinking enemies at once
>>35077044"Yo, buddy. We never really did settle who was number 1 before you left. How about we show these kids how to really fight?"
>>35077098>and he's using a GM, same one Jack started with
The balls combine to form a bigger ball.
>>35077025If we get some of those ramming balls we could juggle, then fling all of them at once. That shit would be deadly
>>35077142Like that one Gunman from TTGL
>>35076872melee ball should be a spider ball8 armed beam saber mostrosity
>>35077044Charlotte in the finals. Completely stock gundams.
>>35077044axis.itself.A Bao A Qu was already done. time to recreate axis shock.
>>35077180>gundamsYou wut, mate?
>>35077133Despite using stock suits, they cause a shit ton of destruction, both are out of ammo and are using their severed limbs to club each other.
>>35077210I do not know the correct word. English isn't my first language
>>35077236Gundams are the names mobile suits, like the RX-78-2, Exia, stuff like that. Main Character suits, essentially. We've made a point to use grunt suits.
>>35077025Double Trans-AM in everything, 10 total. ALL THE POWER FOREVER
>>35077258Well what word would I use?
>>35077497Stock Mobile Suit in this case.
>>35077300>GN output to the 10th power.Motherofgod
>>35077497Mobile Suit, MS, that sort of thing.
So, on melee ball ideas, we haveHeat Axe BallBeam Sword koosh BallHydra Ball for grapplerBall Of Arms Ball (because then it could grab weapons too)Suicide Grappler Ball (grabs a hold, doesn't let go as it tears in, if they damage it goes sky high with them in its claws)Flail Ball (armored to hell, lots of spikes and pointy bits, gets used with our Ball Recall a lot)Any ideas on which one we want to go with, or new ideas?
>>35077180Charlotte vs Jack in the finals, stock Zaku vs stock GM. A rematch for the ages.
>>35077982Don't forget you can attach a whip to the Flail Ball to make it an actual flail.
>>35078032And then accusations of pot sharing or whatever the fighting game community calls that.
>>35078135Nah, that sort of thing where friends and rivals wind up facing each other for the championship happens all the time in Gunpla Battle. There would be accusations, but for the most part I don't think anyone would take them seriously. This is just how the game goes.
>>35078032Do we get a space magic scene that comes completely out of nowhere or what?
>>35078192It's not that it's a friend vs. friend, or rival thing; it's taking two supremely depowered suits to finals seemingly out of the blue. For comparisons sake, it's like grinding your way up to top two in street fighter using Guile with your opponent using Juri (Both of these players are known for these characters) and then at the last match of the torny, they switch to Dudley and Rose.
>>35078268Oh, I see. Well, I don't think it would actually really happen that we'd go back to stock models for the final fight. But even if it did, I think that people still wouldn't be too suspicious. Gunpla Battle is a very melodramatic game, the audience is used to players choosing to change their Gunpla suddenly for the sake of nostalgia. Even if it's a downgrade, it's just something they've come to accept as normal.
>>35076872I could be sold on a spinning 8 beam sword death ball, maybe with some of those heat knife launchers installed. But I'd really like something similar to Holly's circus ball; just armed to the teeth with missiles.
>>35078368Forgot to mention I agree with the other balls. I like the long range ball too. Could either put some guntank artillery on it or pick from a wide selection of beam sniper rifles. I'd just swap out for whatever is preferable.
>>35078525>>35078368Figured, just also knew that was a different ball. Personally, I like the idea of the Itani Circus being part of our repertoire, with artillery tier beam cannons on the Beam Dakka ball.
>>35078626Alternately, as something we try to make for the Jester itself, similar to Crossbone's setup. Everyone will watch the balls, when the nastiest act is on the Jester.
>>35078652Reminds me that I really need to start working on my Full Armor Thunderbolt/ Crossbone kitbash again. All dat Space.
>>35078652plasky hax god hands?
>>35078696Sure, that could work. Just saying, Jester could stand to have a defined role too among the balls, that way if they go down, we are still a mean motherfucker.
>>35078773Anyway we could have a Bach like thing in Bleach where if one of our minions die, we somehow gain a power boost?
>>35078807Dunno, this is my first thread. I think that it doesn't work that way either due to the GN Drive...
>>35078807It's kind of already that way in the sense that our Trans Am isn't as efficient when all Balls are active. They either need to be dead or docked. Or maybe they can be active and not enter trans am mode when we flip the switch I can't remember.
>>35078894That's not exactly the case. They need to be alive and docked to get the most of our Trans Am. If they're dead or not docked, out timer (and I assume power level) is rather small in comparison.
>>35078894Oh, that's how that worked? I thought that docking them upped the Trans Am's ability by them linking with it after reading the one where you guys flattened Kenneth. Adding their juice to the system rather than depleting juice from it actively.
How will we ever top today's shenanigans? Log rolling on top of a ms while doing magic tricks?
>>35079005Oh!OH!Card tricks!Heat Cards!Heat Cards with warheads!Gambit some shit like a boss.
>>35079005we make a beam saber/heat knife disappear
>>35079005There's an intermediate day/e exhibition where people can screw around and pal up with the fighters. There is gundam basketball. We dunk from half court.
