How would your current adventure be different if it had started in a Dragon's belly?
>>34491283We would all be dead.
Everyone would have yelled at me for shoehorning my vore fetish into the game, and they'd have left.
Nice cleverly hidden Homestuck thread, OP.
The dragon has recruited the party to clear a parasite infestation from its upper intestine. It's not the most pleasant job, but the dragon is paying them very well for it.
>>34491840I will use this.
>>34491840I remember that minigame from Banjo-Tooie.
Not a great deal."I cast Spontaneous Immolation." would still have been our sorcerer's opening line.
You have arrived. After a journey from the Mountainhomes into the forbidden wilderness beyond, your harsh trek has finally ended. Your party of seven dwarves is to survive digestion from the belly of the beast. There are almost no potions left, but with stout labor comes salvation. Whether by axe, spell or diplomacy, provide for your dwarves. You are expecting a caravan just before the intestines entombs you, but your in the stomach now. Enough time to delve secure lodging, ere the parasites get hungry. A new chapter of dwarven history begins here, at this place, Zutash Ragoth, the "Ancient of Beast". Strike the Flesh!
>>34497099> Dwarven parasites digging a fortress inside a living dragon's guts.> mfw
>>34491283There'd probably be less elves to eat.
>>34497198Essentially, this.I'm guessing there was a bright light at the end of that dark cave. The anus.
You're assuming that we didn't start inside a belly.
>>34497099What would be the benefits of living inside a dragon - beside living inside a dragon. And what would such a feat require, beside acid resistance?
>>34491283They would never get out or midway through they'd realize they were in a dragoness's womb, maybe both
>>34497457>What would be the benefits of living inside a dragon - beside living inside a dragon.Near unassailable home, easy access to powerful spell components, constant stream of food, water, and gold/valuables the dragon eats immediately comes to mind >And what would such a feat require, beside acid resistance?Well elemental resistance depending on the dragon's type and some way to stay un crushed
>>34491283Wasn't there a dwarf in Neverwinter Nights (Hordes of the Underdark maybe?) who got eaten by a black dragon? I remember that he had an amulet of acid resistance and he ate his way out of the dragon in question. He had to eat his way through his former companions, but he did get to dine on the dragon's liver while it still lived...
>>34497566You'd need a DC80 check to crawl inside, or use magic portals to avoid the whole anus/stomach entirely. A womb would be far more hospitable place to build.
>>34497768Dc80 is for a human, I'd imagine it's a lot less for a dragonThough you are right about the womb being more hospitable plus with a decent sized dragon you probably could ignore the check entirely when you crawl in. Additionally there's a good chance she'll enjoy it though you do run the risk of her liking it too much and not letting you out
I now want to enter a campaign by being a warforged in a dragon's stomach. So when the party barbarian or whatever is eaten, I can just be nonchalantly "Hey. Guess I'm your new neighbour. Name's Ted."
>>34498007>Additionally there's a good chance she'll enjoy it though you do run the risk of her liking it too much and not letting you out. It'll still be very tight, anon. Lets not kid ourselves. We were already deep in the magical realm. We're gonna need strong drinks for this.
This is my pic related. That said,>What is air?>What is constant bludgeoning damage?>What are the dimensions of a gargantuan creature's organs (space inside reproductive organs is gonna be ridiculously lethal or full depending on whether the dragon's gravid or not).>How do I out of dragon (without dying from fall damage/getting breath weapon'd)?
>>34498190>What is air?Good thinking! We'll need a tunnel to the lungs to provide airflow.>What is constant bludgeoning damage? What are dragon bone supports?>What are the dimensions of a gargantuan creature's organs? Pulling numbers out of my arse, we know a stomach from a colossal dragon can field around 16 to 32 dwarves. I'd expect a womb to be similar.> How do I get out?Wait till it falls asleep
>>34491283>You all meet in a Tavern>A Tavern is a terrible creature, part Tarrasque, part Wyvern. It ate a few cities and you are now in a ramshackle city that exists in one of its many stomachs. This random idea came up several months ago and evolved into a slightly more complex idea with an inner world built ramshackle inside the belly of a city-eater monstrosity.Would've been an entire campaign set in Jabu Jabu's belly, with cities and structures built inside the creature out of whatever the creature had eaten. There was talk of acid diving scavengers in piecemeal rubber suits and trading dirt as currency.
I would have felt justified for starting with a thermal detonator even sooner.Though seriously, you ALWAYS take the thermal detonator. 2000 creds to not die one time. Yes please.
>>34498153That's why I said decent sized, look at how small the guy is compared to the dragon, he's dildo sized and maybe not even that>>34498190>What is air?Necklace of adaptation or similar effect, alternatively some way to inflate her womb>What is constant bludgeoning damage?I can think of some force effects that could prevent it, alternatively get yourself some DR>What are the dimensions of a gargantuan creature's organs (space inside reproductive organs is gonna be ridiculously lethal or full depending on whether the dragon's gravid or not).Either of the above may make some livable space>How do I out of dragon (without dying from fall damage/getting breath weapon'd)?In this situation I'm assuming you somehow have the dragoness's permissionAlternatively all the above ovoid be solved by a dragoness's bizarre magical biology Yeah it requires a bit if commitment but there are stranger places people have lived in fantasy settings
Honestly, internal damage from a dwarven colony would probably kill the dragon within a week.
>>34498624ovoidFuck you autocorrect
Not without its perilsImagine a tape worm forgotten beast.
>>34497483I don't need this boner.
> In this situation I'm assuming you somehow have the dragoness's permissionDragons are proud, anon. Or savage, depending on the setting. One does not simply crawl into her womb.
Where in my life have I gone so wrong as to end up reading about people living in dragon stomachs and infiltrating dragon wombs on a Friday night
>>34499133nah man the rest of the world just lack IMAGINATIONproblem: what if another dragon starts fucking the dragon while you're in its womb?
>>34499219Know how tiny spiders erupt from momma spider's big bloated corpse?Yeah
>>34499219Well, as long as you're in the womb proper you should be mostly fine, I think. The D is not supposed to go in there. You might have a problem in the future, I guess, if it turns out he succeeded in knocking her up.
>>34499219Guys, I'm disappointed that we're 35 replies in and there hasn't been anything on here I haven't seen on Eka's.

>>34499273>>34499347I just realized he meant fuck as sex rather than fight. Then I read my post. That's one STD nobody wants.
>>34499025They're also vain, greedy, lustful, and live for hundreds of not thousands of yearsYou'd have find a very open minded (and preferably kinky) dragoness and ease into it, probably starting with a heavy amount of bribes and brown nosing as well as having enough fame/power to be worth her attention. Followed by a bit of dragon-laying/spelunking, encouraging her kinks, and hopefully doing a good enough job to be allowed to be her live on dildoI fully admit it's very unlike and more fitting for a less serious setting, but it's not impossible, of course this assumed an sapient dragoness, non sapient/savage dragoness you just need to hope the mind control spells don't fail>>34499133Your home gets flooded, you gain the half dragon template, and maybe a new roommate>>34499333Well you have any new ideas?
>>34499397>your party lives out its life as the dragon version of crabs, hopping from dragon to dragon and infesting their nether regions with your spawn
>>34499562He should probably wipe them off before they start building a colony in his urethra.
>>34499404Let's say some drow, right? They capture a good aligned dragon and put her on enough drugs to bypass her fortitude save. They build a specialized scaffold around her. Then they can explore her underdark freely.
>>34499562I can't tell what that is on the top right at all
>>34499605Dragon butt, I believe.
>>34499600Anon, they're dwarves. See >>34497099
>>34499637Well In my case(>>34499404) I'm assuming its one guy, maybe a full adventuring party, you couldn't do a proper dorf (or drow) colony unless the dragon was absolutely massive, as in big enough the colony is just a rash to it, and that's just to big for any interaction on an individual level and that too big to be fun for me
>>34491840Samurai Jack already did this one.

>>34491831I miss HSG when it was good. When it was speculative, mechanical, and creative. Before the Hiatuses and the Tumblr antagonism growing on /co/ and the disengagment from the story towards existing for its own sake.>>34491283I don't think they would have been able to escape. I like starting lowbie because maybe someday I'll get to DM a party going from 1 to 30. They can't go the back way because of the acid damage. They can't go the front way because of the fire damage. And they can't make their own way, because how the hell are they going to carve through the dragon scales at the end?
>>34499562Surfs up brah
>>34499800TFW you will never sensually take 2d8+10 crushing damage as a dragon uses Swallow Whole(ex).
>>34500042I'd expect dragon bone to make good weapons.I mean, dragon claws can probably break scales, why not bones?
I really doubt a colony would be feasible. Instead, it'll be far easier to kill the dragon (from the inside), harvest the fuck out of everything, loot its treasure, and return home.
>>34500092Others in the thread had pointed that out and the solution was either DR, force effects to make a survivable area, or hand wave it due to a dragon's magical physiologyPlus in this scenario, they would get swallowed whole but not by the lips on the dragoness's head, her womb should be more hospitable than her stomach
>>34500733"Urist! That cavern is all weird. The walls are all moist and it doesn't feel like stone."
>>34499376It's a helpless egg. Coup d' grace doesn't make for much of a boss fight.
>>34501370>Coup d' grace doesn't make for much of a boss fight.Tell that to Earthbound.
>>34491283My current adventure just started. And it started in a dragons belly. So not really different at all.
>>34500722Like I've been saying, the only way a colony would work if the dragon is massive enough to regard the colony as an infection, a normal full sized dragon may be able to act as for one or maybe a few people, though magic would be necessary to make it habitable>>34501370The only boss fight that gave me trouble (other than the cake) in Super mario RPG legend of the seven stars was the egg/Birdo fight, but yeah, as long as you can get through the shell killing an egg should be simple>>34501691It just occurs to me, what if the egg forms around the wombs current inhabitants?
The better question would beHow the hell did that kobold get in?!
>>34502234Well the dragoness was a bit horny and the kobold was at the wrong (or right) place a the right time so he got volunteered for stress relief. Unfortunately for him, she kinda shoved him in a bit too deep and he's not strong enough to force his way out

>>34503391If you're interested in learning who these characters are, Homestuck is actually a pretty good webcomic. People will tell you the fandom is awful but in general they're pretty great, and the hatedom is ten times worse. Well for my character it started out in a gargantuan worm. (And thereafter my character became the master of dynamic entries)So not very different for me.
>>34503284Is that character from the main comic or a sub comic? because so far i am reading and its a guy called jack doing stupid things at behest of readers
>>34503956the comic is extremely long and extremely meanderingthere's an assload of characters, eventually
>>34491283The big secret about dragons is that they were originally created by ancient kobolds as semi-autonomous living weapons. To keep them under control, their creators built in a manual override system, allowing a person to enter the dragon's body and control it from the inside. The real problems started when the other dragons found out about our little joyride. One thing the chromatics and metallics all agree on is that they really don't want to go back to being slaves, and they've put aside their differences to stop us. Also our host is still conscious, and she spends a lot of time telling us what she's going to do to us when we let go of her brain. In short, this was a bad idea.
>>34503956Main comic, but she comes in way later. It's actually worth reading all the way through; kind of like Avatar: The Last Airbender. It seems like it's fucking around doing nothing, but once it hits its stride everything gets important and surprisingly meaningful>>34503851Homestuck is objectively good. It has>A cast of 8-16 well developed characters(depending on how much detail you demand as "developed")>Dozens of characters with less development but still some depth>Themes of separation from parents both physical and emotional>Characters who abandon their partner because they don't live up to their expectations>Characters who stick with their partner because their partner needs them>The end of the world, fantastical elements, superpowers, a war to save all existence, the nature of reality. Extremely grim situations presented in a lighthearted manner>Excellently written characters>Legitimately funny jokes keep Homestuck true to its nature as a comedy.>Despite its fantastic themes, Homestuck is extremely relateable. The central idea of the plot is "A few friends try to play a video game together online"Homestuck will probably, in future years, come to be viewed as a literary achievement equivalent to Huckleberry Finn. Just as Huckleberry Finn was the first novel that could only have been written by an American, Homestuck is the first work of literature that is so unique to the Internet, both in format and premise, that it could not exist anywhere else. Homestuck is the internet's first great work of literature.
>>34504015Maybe. But it really falls apart at the end as the author loses motivation and control.

>>34503284>>34503433Well it's mostly her fault for trying to throw them straight into something they might or might not like. Should've started with something simpler, like Fiasco.
>>34504326Everyone else she could RP with was murdered. One of them by her own hand, to save all her friends.Just so you know.
>>34504348How does that even begin to relate with what I said? You don't throw people like them straight into D&D, it's obviously not cohesive/entertaining from the start enough.
>>34504348she pretty much grew up murdering people through the context of augmented reality rpgsso theres that
This is not a homestuck thread. This is about the OP's scenario, and also about throwing new players into the deep end of the pool.
>>34504326They were being cunts and her change of "you are in a dragon's stomach" was perfectly reasonable AND awesome. They were being megafaggots. I would suck dick to get a GM that awesome (no homo)
>>34504685You're already familiar with RPGs. They aren't. They don't know what to expect when first entering the game, and "you're stuck in a dragon stomach" can be quite off-putting at first. It all boils down to knowing your audience and being willing to make some sacrifices at first to have great results later, and she was unable to do at least one of them (probably the second one, because I doubt she didn't know them) and then got surprised and sad when it ended up not in her favour.
>>34504784>You're already familiar with RPGs. They aren't.they were familiar enough to bitch that the "you meet in a tavern" is uninspired and unoriginal and demand it be changed.the dragon stomach thing was a change they demanded
>>34504878My guess is they played some computer RPGs which do not really prepare you for the real deal but do have some of the tropes; either that or they heard about it being cliche. They obviously aren't familiar with the rules - only Kanaya really read into them and the others just skimmed. Perhaps not expecting them all to read a 200-something page rulebook would've been a good start.
