You squint skeptically at the hovering embodiment of flame above you. "Tell me, Princess Anastasia. What are you doing in the United States, and why are you speaking English?" She sticks her nose haughtily into the air. "Everyone knows that your Federal States of America are fervent enemies of communisim! Your hyper-captialstic system offers exactly the kinds of opportunities a wandering spirit like myself needs to advance her cause in the afterlife." She looks down her nose at you. "As for my apparent mastery of the English language, I am a Grand Duchess. I had a loyal tutor who taught me to read, speak, and write English just as any native would!"You're still not really convinced. "Do you actually speak Russian, then?" She seems to grow offended. "Of course I do! Das vidanya! See? That's Russian!" You're pretty sure that's a mispronunciation of a common Russian phrase and plus it was in that cheesy 20th century action movie, but you don't really know enough about Russian to say for certain. Before you can further grill her on her knowledge of her supposed mother tongue, she poses a question to you. "What are you doing here so late at night, mortal? Why can you even see me? Why are you covered in blood?"(1/2)
She's twisted in the air so she's leaning towards you, her chin in her hands and her elbows propped against nothing. That firey tail of hers seems to twirl and twist upwards, vanishing into the night sky. You note that her pupils seem to be little roiling balls of fire surrounded by pitch black, they almost remind you of little miniature suns. Considering the Aurora Borealis is currently swirling through her chest cavity that might not be so far fetched.>Explain the story of your most recent death and resurrection. "Funny story, that. Pretty sure I died, but here I am walking around." You hesitate before continuing, curious to see if this spirit counts as a 'mortal'. "Had to sell my soul or something to a figure composed of corpses in order to get back up again,-" Good so far, no unimaginably horrible pain. "-but them's the breaks." She rest a sympathetic hand on your shoulder, you would've expected it to burn your flesh or something but it doesn't hurt. "How did you die? Did those filthy commoners stab you in the back too?""Actually no, I was just walking my dog around the neighborhood to distract me from my troubles and the next thing I know I stumble upon my coworker mutilating a corpse in the woods. Guy shot me three-" You pause to think back on your memories of the encounter. Was it three or four? "Well, three-ish times. Bastard even kicked my dog-" You gesture towards Sally. "-So I was going to clean myself up and take her to the vet."Flames seem to spark to life in the blackness of her sclera, warmth radiating off of her in waves. "How dare he! Betray a compatriot! Mutilate a corpse! Abuse an animal! It's not right!" She soars away from you, looping gracefully through the air before coming to an abrupt stop high above you. "Point me in the direction of this villain, sir! I shall defend your honor and free you to attend to your loyal hound! No mortal could withstand the wrath of a spirit such as I!"This would probably be intimidating if you hadn't just been stood up before the embodiment of Death himself. As is, it's just kind of funny. You hold up your hands in mock surrender. "That's real nice and all, I really appreciate the offer, but I think right now I just need to focus on getting my dog taken care of." She seems to deflate. "What? How can you be so blasé? The man has wronged you! He must be dealt with immediately!" Why does this little ghost girl feel so strongly about it, anyway? It's not like it happened to her. "I'll deal with the man in my own time. If you'd like to help when the time comes, I'd be honored to have you."She considers this for a moment before nodding her head firmly. "Very well, what is your name so that I might remember you when the time comes?" Shouldn't she just be able to remember you anyway? "Donovan Murphy, or just Don." She folds her arms in front of her chest. "Well, Donovan. At sunset on the eve of your revenge you need only call my name and I shall be at your side to deliver swift and violent punishment to the foul man who wounded you!"She thrust her hand towards you, presumably to shake. You reach to meet her, but hesitate. A strange sort of air has filled the clearing you're standing in. You grasp her hand and immediately pain shoots up your arm. Your hand feels like it's on fire. On instinct you jerk your hand out of her grasp and clutch it close to your chest, seething. The pain subsides quickly, but your hand still aches horribly. She 'hmphs' haughtily as you examine the charred black mark on your palm. It's a perfect circle, at the center of which lies a throbbing red pustule. In a way, it reminds you of the spirit's eyes. The girl's voice distracts you from examining the mark on your palm. "The least you could do is show proper gratitude! It is not every day royalty deigns to interact with her subjects!" Since when were you her subject? Last you checked Russia was on the opposite side of the planet, more or less. "Look 'Princess', this isn't Russia. What the hell did you do to my hand?" She waves a hand dismissively. "I don't know! You're the first human I've met who can see me! Why don't you tell me, Mr 'Oooh, look at my fancy corporeal body'!?"Hesitantly, you poke and prod at the mark, testing to see if the flesh was weak or raw. After the initial jolt of pain you seem to be fine. Any damage to the skin is purely cosmetic and the burn itself no longer hurts, even when you pick at it. After a minute or so it starts to recede, eventually fading to the point that you can barely see it. Perhaps this is simply a sign that you've made a contract?Once you've calmed down you stuff your burned hand into the pocket of your hoodie. "Well, I don't think it's anything in particular to worry about, at the moment at least. If you wanted to you could follow me to the vet to drop off my dog." She doesn't look at you, instead keeping her nose pointed skyward, but when you start to hobble off towards your home she follows you. It seems you'll have company.(1/2)
It doesn't take you long to make your way around the trail back to your home. Really, the last stretch is the hardest as it's almost purely up hill. It's only twelve before midnight when you finally stumble through the back door into your kitchen and pry your jogging shoes off. You make your way out of the kitchen and into the foyer, where the stairs up to the second story lie. The stairs prove a daunting challenge but you manage it, the stiffness is only just starting to leave your legs. You struggle out of your hoodie and toss it on the ground next to your bed. You half expect Claire to scold you for being a slob, the house really does feel cripplingly lonely without her around.Well, that's not entirely true. You can hear Sally whining downstairs. She probably didn't want to brave the steps and is laying on the ground floor, waiting for you. Plus, there is a most likely insane fire spirit staring at you with no small amount of fascination. You push open the door to the master bath and flick on the light. You catch sight of yourself in one of the mirrors and immediately a sense of panic overwhelms you.Branded in the absolute center of your forehead is a large symbol. You get closer, practically pressing your face against the glass to get a look at it. It appears to be a triskele nested within an ouroboros. You have to admit, you're not particularly familiar with what either symbol means. You're pretty sure the ouroboros is something about immortality, but you're not certain. It doesn't hurt, and when you rub your hand across the brand it feels smooth. You suppose you could pass it off as a tattoo- "Why are your rubbing your forehead?" Anastasia's voice seems to come from right next to your ear, and you jump despite yourself. You didn't see her in the mirror, but when you turn she's right there. You gesture towards the symbol. "Most people don't have giant marks like this one on their head, at least not where I'm from." You deliver the line wryly but the girl just looks confused. "What mark? It's just skin."(1/2)
You squint, and then turn your attention once more towards the mirror. You hold up the hand with the mark burned into the palm and find that, in the mirror, it appears perfectly normal. Of course, that doesn't explain why you can still see the ouroboros, but you do find yourself wondering whether or not anyone else would be able to see it.>Grab a hat before you leave, just to be safe.>Nothing like a trial by fire. You shake your head slowly, you'll need to dig up one of your old caps to obscure this thing just in case. In the meantime you duck your head down and splash water over your face. It doesn't take long to get the dried blood rubbed off and you move on to washing off the blood on your chest and abdomen. Its even soaked into your shorts, you suppose that's what happens when you get shot repeatedly. You wander back into your bedroom and pull open your chest of drawers, sifting through until you find a pair of jeans and an old baggy hoodie. You kick off your shorts and quickly garb yourself, trying to ignore the fact a creature composed solely of fire and light is watching you the whole while. After that you throw open your closet door and dig around until you find an old ratty baseball cap with the VCU Rams logo emblazoned across it.Thusly garbed you pull on a pair of shoes, grab your keys, and jog downstairs to where Sally lays in the foyer. She struggles to get up, but can't seem to quite manage it. You hoist her up into your arms as gently as you can manage, careful to avoid shifting her ribs around too much. You figure after getting kicked in the side like she was a broken rib makes the most sense as far as injuries go. You pick your way round the broken glass to the open front door and across the yard to your sedan. You'd take the convertable, but somehow a sports car just doesn't seem appropriate for taking your pet to the ER.(1/2)
Anastasia's head pops through the roof of the car directly in front of you. "What are you doing? We are taking your pet to the hospital, aren't we?" You look at her oddly for a moment. Mainly because she just passed through metal like it wasn't even there. "Yes. This is a car. It gets us mortals places faster." She scrunches up her face in confusion. "Why not simply step there?" Step? The hell does she mean? "You mean walk? It's not really within-" She shakes her head. "No, I mean step. Watch." She drifts away from the car, stopping perhaps twenty feet in front of it. The very next instant she vanishes. You look around for a moment, but don't see her anywhere. You hear her voice from beside you. "Like that, step." You jump, once more despite yourself. Shoving your key into the ignition you start the car, barely paying her any mind. "Humans can't do that, we're sort of rooted in one location." Anastasia scoffs. "That must be terribly boring. Very well then, show me how this 'car' works."You press the accelerator and the car jerks into motion. You've always had a bit of a lead foot, but you're regretting it now. Sally whines loudly as she's jostled in the back seat. You make a point of being a lot more careful on the way down the moutain and towards the town proper.>Ask Anastasia how long she's been dead.>Ask her what else she knows about spirits.>Ask something else.>Just drive, you'll have time for questions later and you don't want to be distracted.

>>34494641>Ask Anastasia how long she's been dead.
>>34494641>Ask Anastasia how long she's been dead.>Ask her what else she knows about spirits.
I'll write for both.
A fairly awkward silence descends upon the car as you drive. As the silence drags on, you try to think of ways to spark up conversation with a dead girl, or a creature that claims to be a dead girl. "Sooo... how long have you been dead?" You cringe internally. Probably not the best way to start a conversation, but Anastasia doesn't seem to take offense. "Four hundred years, or about that. To be honest I haven't been keeping rigorous track."Damn, that's a long time to be dead. Assuming she is who she says she is, of course. You still don't quite believe she's the ghost of some long-dead Princess. "Well if you've been dead that long, you must know quite a bit about spirits." She nods her head curtly. "I don't consider myself any sort of expert but I'm most certainly knowledgable." You wait for a moment for her to elaborate, but she doesn't. "Well, what can you tell me about them? Just in general, that is."She cocks her head to the side contemplatively. "Well... by and large my kind are coniving and cruel. I, of course, am neither. I am a benevolent and enlightened ruler, or I will be once I have all of those dirty communist's heads on pikes." You almost don't have the heart to tell her the Soviet Union fell hundreds of years ago. "Other spirits, the dimwitted ones, are glorified animals. They do as their instincts dictate. Some seek to consume the flesh of the living, others only to be alone, and others to defend their territory. It's really a grab bag with them. They're usually weak willed though, and can easily be subsumed."(1/3)
The buildings are starting to become denser, you're in the town proper now. It won't be much longer before you reach the vet's office. "What does that mean, subsumed?" She claps her hands together. "Ah, right! A spirit grows in power by consuming the essence of another. Some actually latch onto humans and feed on their essence, but this ultimately hurts their development. Spirits are a much more potent source. Plus the human usually kills themself, or something." She waves a hand dismissively. "Anyway, subsuming another spirit basically means breaking down its will to the point that it loses cohesion, then you can absorb it." A sort of sadistic glee that you find disconcerting creeps into her voice. You're... not really sure what to think about that. You're starting to notice other spirits the further into town you go. One of them appears as a great mosquito, its probuscis shoved deep into the back of a woman's neck. Another a squirming larvae the size of a truck filling an alleyway. You see a creature with two scythe-like arms phase out of a storefront and dash across the street. Innumerable smaller, almost shapeless spirits flit through the air or hover around street lamps. They seem drawn to light. Finally you pull into a parking space in front of the vet's office. The parking lot is abandoned, but the lights are on. You climb out of the car and hoist Sally into your arms as gently as you can, carrying her into the office. You find the lobby completely empty save for a woman sitting behind the desk, as soon as she sees you she stands up. "What happened?" Genuine concern fills her voice, it's sort of comforting. "I was jogging and a man came running out of the woods. He kicked her in the ribs when she growled at him." It's a white lie, sure, but it's not like you can tell her the truth.(2/3)
She presses a button and a moment later two orderlies come rushing through the double doors with a stretcher. They gently lift Sally out of your arms and strap her down, you try to follow them into the back but one of them stops you, slurring something about no owners beyond this point. You're not sure if he's drunk or has a speech impediment or what. You glance towards the lady at the front desk, but she just smiles apologetically. You note with some relief that nobody seems to notice either the hovering fire-woman behind you or the giant mark on your forehead, or if they do they're not saying anything.>You're not abandoning your dog! You tap your foot impatiently as the minutes drag on. You're only snapped out of your worried angst by the sound of Anastasia's voice."There is a spirit here. Powerful." You glance over to where she pretends to sit in the chair next to you. You say pretends to sit because though her firey tail is tucked under the seat demurely she still floats about an inch or so off of the seat. As Anastasia drifts off deeper into the veterinary clinic you stand up. "Uh, excuse me." The lady behind the desk jumps, blushing deeply. That's an... odd reaction. The hell did you interrupt? "Where is the bathroom?" She clears her throat. "Through the double doors, on your left. Don't go wandering off back there! I wouldn't want to send the orderlies after you." She frowns seriously, but honestly after meeting the embodiment of Death itself a chubby, soft spoken, middle aged woman isn't exactly intimidating. You slip through the doorway, looking for any sign of Anastasia. You see a few small drops of blood dotting the ground in front of you, but they vanish into the wall directly in front of you. You find a door quickly enough and find it's the operating theater. Peeking inside you don't see anyone, so you slip through the doorway before anyone walks by. It wasn't even locked, that seems a tad unprofessional.Drops of blood, and a small pool sitting on the operating table itself. Bottles, jars, and apparatuses litter the shelves and countertops. The drips continue past the operating table, into a room labeled 'morgue'. Sheesh, it's a little morbid that they'd attach the morgue to the operating theater. Really doesn't inspire confidence in their ability. You try the doorhandle, but find it locked. Why would they lock the morgue but not the operating theater? You glance around the room briefly, trying to spot any likely places to stow a key. You sift through a few drawers but don't find anything of particular note. In one cabinet you find a truly innordinate number of vials filled with a white powder. Checking the label, you see it's Ketamine. Why would an urban veterinary clinic have this much horse tranquilizer? That's suspicious as all hell. You keep sifting through the room, pushing aside bottles, checking inside jars, feeling along the tops of door frames. You do find a key on top of one of the cabinets, but it won't fit inside the morgue's lock. Your attention is repeatedly drawn to the pool of glowing blood on top of the operating table. It's slowly losing its radiance and fading away as time passes. You decide to investigate the table in more detail, sifting through the little drawers and cabinets.Eventually you come to a locked drawer, after jimmying it about a few times an idea comes to you. Retrieving the key you found on top of the cabinet, you plug it into the lock and twist. You're relieved to see it slide open, and more than a little unsettled by what you find.Fat wads of cash, all packed in neatly. There's five of them in all, and pulling the rubberband off of one you start to count through the stack. It's mostly twenties, but there are a few fives, ones, and even a few fifties and hundreds. Once you've finished counting you find that this particular wad totaled up to five grand. You quickly reroll the stack and fasten the rubber band around it.>Take the money, that's twenty five grand!>This is drug money, you don't want any part of that. You shut the drawer quietly and lock it again, leaving the money untouched. After placing the key back on top of the cabinet. That done, you carefully peak outside of the operating theater and, upon confirming that the hallway is empty, slip out. You're clearly not going to find a key in the OR, time to look around for an exit.It doesn't take you long to find a fire escape. It's even one of those old models attached by the wire. You creep up and carefully jerk the wire out of the alarm box. An old trick you learned in high school to make skipping class easier. You slip out of the fire escape without triggering the alarm and find yourself in the alleyway behind the vet's office.Much to your surprise, you find it populated. Namely by Anastasia and a massive buck with a flaming skull for a head. The buck charges, and Anastasia soars into the air. She shoots a blast of fire from her hand but it just roils around the buck, the creature doesn't even seem to notice. At least Anastasia has the advantage of maneuverability. She notices you standing in front of the doorway and soars down, stopping right in front of you. "Quick!" She sounds panicked. That doesn't strike you as a good thing. "Distract it! I'll attack it from behind!"She zips off without allowing you time to answer. The buck lowers its head, scuffing its hoof against the pavement. The beast charges you and you dance to the side more or less on instinct. It shoots by you at an impossible speed, the heat enough to make you uncomfortable even thoughit only shot past. You find yourself suddenly behind it, but you don't have an opportunity to capitalize on that before Anastasia has swooped in and grabbed ahold of its antlers. The hairs on the back of your neck stand on end and the scent of ozone seems to fill the air. You're not sure what she did, but the buck rears back and bays loudly. It violently whips its head back and forth and Anastasia loses her grip, flying through the near-by wall back into the veterinary clinic. The buck whips around, looking for Anastasia, but instead it finds you. Once more the beast charges, and you duck to the side. It sweeps by you, the heat enough to burn you even from a distance. You're not really thinking anymore, just acting at this point. In a fit of either bravery or stupidity you leap onto the back of the creature and grab onto its horns. Apparently your weight is enough to send it toppling over. Unfortunately it doesn't go quietly, you feel one of its flaming horns gouge into your shoulder and a hoof kick your shin. You think something might've fractured, but you have little time to consider that. You drive its head into the pavement, grinding its nose to the rough asphalt. You punch the creature in its skeletal face repeatedly, until your knuckles bleed and your skin chars. Unfortunately your assault proves insufficient to subdue the beast. It drives its horns into your chest and jerks its head forward, carrying you off of its back. The horns leave little cauterized holes in your flesh, and as you hit the ground the beast stands. You note that its face is spiderwebbed with cracks, so at least you've done some damage.Oddly you feel a power building deep inside you, brought on by anger, pain, and fear. It wells up from your core, into your throat. Just as it builds to an untennable point Anastasia charges out of the wall and wraps her hands around its horns again. It immediately rears back, bellowing loudly in pain and anger. Anastasia shouts as the beast wrenches its head back and forth. "Quickly! You take a running start and drive your right fist into the creature's belly. Much to your surprise, your fist punches through the buck's skin and into its abdomen. Your arm feels aflame as power rushes through you, filling you with strength and vitality to the point of bursting. You feel fantastic, you feel invincible, but above all else you feel immortal.>Binding Gained: Burning BuckYou black out, but only for a moment. When you once more become conscious of your surroundings the flaming spirit is gone. However, your arm burns something terribly. Rolling back the sleeve of your hoody you find a symbol etched into the bottom of your forearm. It depicts an antlered man with a snake tied around himself in intricate knotwork, its spitting mouth held in one hand and a torc held in the other. On instinct, you snap your fingers and a small ball of flame appears above your palm. You extend your arm and a stream of fire roils forth, bathing the asphalt in fire. It doesn't seem particularly powerful, but it's a start you suppose. Your wounds have also been healed. Curious, you think.Anastasia hovers a few feet away, she seems timid. "How did you do that? Its essense should have gone to me!" You look at her confused. "What do you mean?" She shakes her head. You speak before you really realize what you're saying. "The princess that doesn't recognize the benefits of an alliance with the enemy of her enemy is a naive princess indeed." She whips around. "How are you the enemy of my enemy? How dare you call me naive?! For four hundred years I have wandered this Earth seeking solace and found none! After knowing me for, what, an hour you profess to know my enemies and share common cause? I ought to gut you!"Well, she certainly seems upset. You take that as a sign that she cares. "I'd cite our only recently concluded fight as evidence of a common enemy. I seek to tame spirits and absorb their essence just as you do. Individually, we each would've lost the fight against this animalistic spirit. More than this we were both betrayed by people we trusted. Me, a coworker. You, your rightful subjects. It is only natural that we shoud ally."She seems to consider your words for a moment. Finally, she speaks. "Fine, I will consider you a friend. However, that does not mean I wish to share space with you, even if you are truly my ally. My interactions with you for the night are concluded, and I retreat to my forest. Should you ever wish to commune, you know where to find me."With that, she vanishes. At least you're not totally hostile towards one another. You duck back inside and slip your way into the vet's waiting room. The woman at the front desk looks up at you and scowls slightly as you walk in. "What took you so long?" You panic slightly. "Huge dump. I think I tore something." The response is instinct, as is the look of disgust the front desk lady gives you. At least she doesn't ask any more questions.(1/3)
>>34501248Sort of doubt it.That one's celtic anyway.
You sit down to wait, and not long afterwards a stretcher is rolled out with Sally strapped to the top. Trailing behind is a man in a lab coat, "Dr. Richards" emblazoned on a nametag bound to his right breast. You stand up immediately. "Is Sally going to be okay?" Doctor Richards smiles. "She'll be fine, a broken rib and a few fractures but nothing serious." He hands you a shief of paper once he gets close enough. "This is a prescription for a pain killer, give her one pill a day. Shove the pill inside a piece of bread, or steak, or coat it in peanut butter. She should be good as new in four month's time. That's when we'll remove the cast"You sigh in relief, taking the shief of paper from Doctor Richards and reaching down to scratch behind Sally's ear. Her tail starts to wag, slamming violently against the bedding attached to the stretcher. "Be sure not to engage in any taxing physical activity until Sally is fully healed. That includes walks!" You smile, although it's somewhat forced. This fucker is selling Special K en masse, and now he's telling you to be careful about walking your dog. It just seems so... odd.The orderlies detach Sally from the stretcher and you pick her up gently. They've wrapped a cast around her torso, almost the entirety of her torso. It's somewhat flexible but still rather rigid and tight. When you set her down she immediately leans against you, rubbing the side of her head against your thigh lovingly. You can't help but lean down and make baby noises while you scratch behind her ears.(2/3)
She follows you happily out of the Vet's office and when you get to the car you lift her tenderly into the passenger's seat. Once she's situated you climb into the car and start her up, shifting into reverse and pulling out of the parking space. The ride home is quiet, the peacefulness only occaisionally broken by Sally whining and nudging up against your shoulder, prompting you to pet her. She really is a very sweet dog.Eventually you return home and pull the car into the garage. As you walk through the laundry room and into the kitchen, you hear the distant sound of your ringtone. You pour Sally a bowl of food and some ice water, then return to the car to carefully pick her up and carry her to her bowl. She eats ravenously, clearly starving. She hasn't eaten in quite a while. While she eats, you whip up some grilled chicken in a mushroom cream sauce. One of your favorite dishes, it always sets you at ease. Once you've finished dinner and fed Sally, you close the front and back doors before heading upstairs. The house doesn't seem as lonely as it did, if only because you know the embodiment of Death is watching over you. You pick up the phone and dial in your own number to reach your voice mail. Once you type in the password, Claire's message starts to play."I'm staying with my parent's Donny." There is a long pause. "I still love you, you know. I really do. >>34501822Dude. The faggotry levels in this write-in are off the charts holy shit.
>>34501841You didn't but "call back" wins anyway.
>>34501814It's fine I'll just send some guy on a grand quest that won't backfire in any way
>>34501666>>Call her back.
You stare at the ten number series that is her phone number for a long while. The world seems to fade away, until it's just you and the number itself. You don't know precisely when it happens but you press your thumb against the 'call' button and the phone starts to ring. You press it against your ear as you stalk downstairs to pour yourslef a drink. Way too much has happend today for you to be at all sober and still remain comfortable.Claire picks up after three rings, desperation clear in her voice. "Donovan?" Hearing her voice, your mouth feels suddenly dry. You find yourself croaking out an answer. "It's me." She responds amidst tears. "I thought you hated me, I was so worried. When you took that job I thought you'd be too busy for sex-" You laugh, it's a harsh, abrupt laugh. A man too busy for sex? That's legitimately ridiculous. "Relax, Claire. Reeelax. It's just a job. You have one yourself, and you love it. It hasn't prevented you from trying for kids."She's silent, but you know her well enough to realize that's a sign of grudging agreement. You have the advantage here.>Ask her to come back.>Tell her the two of you are through, and you'll want a divorce.>Tell her you feel betrayed by her leaving you over such a minor issue, and you need time to think.>Write-in
>>34502025>Tell her you feel betrayed by her leaving you over such a minor issue, and you need time to think. You can't toy with a man's emotions like that.
>>34502025>Tell her you feel betrayed by her leaving you over such a minor issue, and you need time to think.Yeah it was something all right.
>>34502025>>Tell her you feel betrayed by her leaving you over such a minor issue, and you need time to think. It's pretty obvious that there are more issues at play here. I still love you (?) but maybe we should take a break for now, just to cool off.
>>34502025>Ask her to come back.I assume we married her for a reason. Let's go with it.
>>34502096So we can accidentally wake up from the nightmare we are about to have, next to her corpse that we just immolated? This your first quest m8?
>>34502025>>Ask her to come back.
>>34502025>>Tell her you feel betrayed by her leaving you over such a minor issue, and you need time to think."Claire, I love you, but I am not going to inflict an emotional rollercoaster on either of us. Your leaving means that there is something more going on here. I need some time to think"
>>34502025> Tell her you feel betrayed and need time to think, but you love her and do want her to come back when she's ready
>>34502025> Ask her to come backAfter she's had some time
Just posting this now cause I can feel it coming.
>>34502107Reading this I was about to post>Not having a nightmare about holding the Skelton that's going to be your son>Quest moarThen I thought what if That asshole fucks with our kids? Do we slap his shit?
>>34502243>>34502118>>34502096>Come back, baby.>>34502053>>34502081>>34502089>>34502147>>34502193>You feel betrayedWriitin, probably last post because drunk and sleepy.
>>34502311That's literally what I was thinking.
"Look, Clare, darling." It's almost painful to say those words. "The fact you'd leave me, after seven years of marriage, over an issue as minor as me getting a job, is mind boggling. You assume that once I'm a Repo Agent I won't have time for you, when the reality is I'll have far more leave than I did when I was in the Navy." She responds after but a moment. "Even if you've got more leave from assignment, you'll be away more often. I already miss you inside of me and it's only been a day. You're my man just as I'm your woman, why would you want to seperate that?"You frown. You're sitting at your computer, glass of scotch in hand, reading her message, and you're having trouble understanding it. What is she getting at? That you should of contacted her? That you should've sought her approval? That seems unbelievably sexist./>Confront her.>Let it go, just stop responding.>Cave. Admit everything she's said is right, beg her back.>Write-in.
>>34502445 am a fairly sex loving person...but shes weird
>>34502445>>Let it go, just stop responding.Shit. Dude. You're drunk? Let it go, and please for the love of god, don't let it escalate. You've already made your positions clear and engaging in further conflict while both of you are compromised is non-productive as fuck.
>>34502445>>Confront her. This is probably heading shitty places in character.
>>34502445>Let it go, just stop responding.>Call her later.
>>34502445>Write-InAsk if she's alrightSomething... Somethings off. I can feel it in my bones.
>>34502445>>Let it go, just stop responding.Attempting to mend a relationship while under the influence is never a good idea. Try again later when we've sobered up.
>>34502445>Let it go, just stop responding.ditch that hoe, 7 years of marriage, no kids, she walks out because HE GOT A JOB, secondly its gonna be really hard to eat people with a wife hanging off of us.
>>34502556Try this, we have to get inside her head if we're gonna fix things.Just realized how lewd that sounds out of context.
