>Fire>Air>Water>EarthPreviously, on Avatar Quest......You, Felna, and Galda left the city and returned home, finding the settlement much different than how you left it. You briefly spoke to Bulo and launched him in a lake, then went to speak with your father while the girls went to speak with their mother. You spoke with your dad and told him you knew what he did. He gave a quick apology, and you accepted his apology while also kneeing him in the crotch. You asked where your mother and Sonyo were, and left once he told you. Both were thrilled to see you, but when you told your mother all that occurred in the city, she became furious that your father sold you out to the Queen. She demanded that you and Sonyo leave the building while she "discussed" things with your father. Of course, you disobeyed her and attempted to stop a fight from breaking out. You managed to do so, but greatly angered your father in the process. You left the settlement and came across Felna, who was practicing her Firebending while Bulo and Galda watched. Soon, the shark turtle arrived, happy to see you. However, soon, your father's soldiers arrived as well, telling you that your father ordered your arrest for treason.
>Welcome to Avatar Quest. Here are the rules.Decisions are made by vote. Each vote has a ten minute interval, after which, the option that receives the most votes it the one that is chosen. There are no write-ins unless explicitly statedSome options require rolls. In that event, rolls will be out of 100. Whether rolls succeed or fail is decided by the first three rolls. If one passes, then you succeed regardless of the other two. Rolls will really only occur during training, or when trying something new.All decisions are final. If you regret voting for something, too bad. When confronted by the great beast, there is only thing you can possibly do. You boldly charge at the great monster, unarmed, and hug one of its massive legs. It's massive head comes down, and it nuzzles you, licking your cheek. The Shark Turtle suddenly raises its head and roars towards the settlement.Turning around, you see a pair of archers standing on the wall, and eight soldiers moving to surround you, Bulo, Galda, and Felna. One soldier walks in front of the others, standing in front of you."Avatar Shin, by order of Governor Greto, you are under arrest for treason," he tells you. "We will now take you into custody. Please be advised that we have been authorized to use deadly force."To emphasize this, the soldiers draw their weapons, and the archers knock their arrows, pulling them back and preparing to fire."Please, come quietly," the soldier says.Galda instinctively draws her daggers and gets into a fighting stance. Felna clenches her hands into fists and takes a deep breath. Bulo walks over to you and gets into a bending stance."Well bro," he says, "what should we do?">A. Surrender>B. Does it really matter? the Quest is basically over now, barring a major asspull. If we leave, Galda and Felna die, causing a shitstorm that ends the quest. If we stay, we're in prison, which is kind of boring. Third option is that mom breaks us out, which'll get her killed.
>>34373672Our old man is an impulsive shit eating cuntbag, honestly at this point he's an entire liability, if we petition to have him replaced he'd probably kill our family, we should just grab a sword, kill him, then make the Queen put in someone new.
>>34373707which gets us executed because Som'll turn the Queen into a cunt because we lied to her
>>34373767I know just how to cure that.
So when did this place actually become a settlement with guards and actual people? How fucking long were we in that city for? When did our father get all this power to do this? How the fuck did they make a brig?
>>34373823It became one shortly after we left.Pops came back with a group of people before he sent us off the the Queen, probably with her blessings.
>>34373823we left for a week, which is apparently enough for Som to turn ten people into a decent-sized town
>>34373855>>34373861This doesn't seem like Soviet Russia, usually they build houses for people before they move them onto the land.Bringing in some builders seems like an idea, but considering how close we are to the capital and how fast we got there onfoot, it's not like we have borders to worry about. The death of Ming should also mean there would be less guards due to fractured banditry. So having this many guards, or even the need to prioritize creating a jail (With obvious non-bender guards that is), rather ridiculous
>>34373927He's already shown how much of a cunt he is. It doesn't seem that far of a stretch to imagine he was planning on running a gulag from the start.
>>34373998They would have sent more people at the start, most likely non-benders rather then benders. Royal family wouldn't have come with either, most likely would have been a few combat expert benders. So in such a case we'd have seen something akin to 25 to 1, maybe 50 to 1 Peasant - Military scenario. Instead we only came as a singular family, then along with Ren's assholes too. That explanation doesn't make sense either then.

The deaths of the guards will bring attention from outside sources and you will be found out by the Queen, your political career and office station completely finished. This entire battle is useless now. If you had at least kept those soldiers alive, it would have been save-able. However, you killed them. Why? Why have you done all of this?"You aren't expecting an answer, and you don't get one. Your father remains still, his eyes closed and his fists clenched, though his face is tighter, and he appears to be trembling slightly. "Why didn't you realize that having your son as the Avatar is a quick and easy way to more power?" you continue. "Why don't you realize that my mother was actually a reasonable speaker and a good one, one that could help you in your position? You've made so many mistakes that even I, the Avatar of mistakes and unworthy political advice, am ashamed!"You pause for a moment, catching your breath. Your father gives no reaction. "I say you should stand down," you tell him. "However, knowing your temper, I do not expect you to do so."Your father smirks as he opens his eyes."You know me so well," he says as the building trembles and collapses beneath you.You don't simply fall to the floor below, as you begin to fall, you see that he has opened a pit beneath the building, save for a single pillar atop which he stands. >>34378352>I agree, but not my decisionIt is.It's entirely out of character for the veteran father with anger issues to take a calm moment while HIS OWN SON, a FACT THAT HAS SHOWN TO ANGER HIM was LECTURING HIM.It's also ENTIRELY out of character that our father, a person who had been entirely caring and reasonable until we suddenly became the Avatar, in which his personality did a 720 and suddenly became completely power hungry and an asshole to his family, when he had entirely no reason to be.Even people who have become corrupt with power try to reason people over to their side, we saw none of this from the father, just blatant disregard for anything anyone said to him. Sorry Somnius, but killing your father has a huge impact, physiologically and as an Avatar. Ah, but you knew that didn't you? >>34379149or we could have been dead/dying, but somewhere safe. Raava wouldn't just leave the Avatar's body to suffocate in some pit. unless she could put us in stasis there somehow
>>34379149If you are in Avatar State you shouldn't die in a 1v1 Ever, it took whole armies to kill the other Avatars while they were in the Avatar State.
>>34378981Somnius, do you know how far you have to fall to reach Terminal Velocity?573 MetersThis picture shows a building 498.4 meters tall. Our father just earthbent in around about half a minutes time, a solid chunk of earth, which was enough to "see that he has opened a pit beneath the building" so not only is it a VERY VERY long pit, it is wide enough to encompass a building. This is a feat of bending which has not been seen in the entire series, avatar mode or not, Sozin's comet or not. This is an impossible feat for someone to achieve in such a small amount of time.
>>34379290Rocks fall you die, you should have killed your father while he was on the ground trembling instead of giving him the chance to go OVER 9000.
>>34379290Let's give him an bonus and say there was a natural cavern network under the village ok? Still is bullshit though. That's why I voted to go to sleep.
>>34379351same herebetter to just die and restart until the avatar reincarnates around people they can trust
>>34379290This is honestly fucking absurd.
>>34379290>>34378981Jesus fucking christ Som's a lazy hack
>>34378981Sorry aint good enough
>>34379499and he won't give a shit unless people unfollow his lazy ass on twitter and stop reading his quests. Or do to him what got done to EGO
>>34379290How.Just fucking how
>>34379290>>34379290Somnius won't respond to this post, he can't really explain how Dad got super powers and how we died in the avatar state without it coming out looking contrived as fuck.
>>34379579Of course he won't, Somnius is a fucking hack with powerlevels and runs off of rule of cool. Rule of cool being in this case is "kek players u die"
>>34379290bigger than that. We went Avatar State, but still hit the ground hard. That means we had to get either to or near terminal velocity, trigger Avatar State, and then start slowing down. We're probably looking at closer to 700 meters. That's like a half-mile deep pit at least as far across as a house
>>34379635I was going minimum height, assuming that we avatar state'd at the last possible moment or some such, as only in that situation would Somnius' story actually be anywhere near believable about the avatar state.
another, different, question Som. Why was the Airbending DC a 99? wasn't this the perfect kind of time to learn it, according to Lathic? You know, when we are unable to think of anything and have to just act
>>34379703Nice pixels.>>34379707Because fuck you, that's why.
>>34378981>Sorry manNo you're not. You very clearly have absolutely no regret over what you've done.
>>34379707because a) airbending is our opposite as an airbender which makes it difficult to useb)we've had very little practice with it
>In which Somnius kills Shin for acting in character.Oh c'mon man, it should have been.>Shin dies, at least he remembers his name.
Shin had a hard life. In his position I probably wouldn't have wanted to live either. An abusive father, an avatar duty to uphold as he was too young, monstrous political relations building up, the oncoming hoard of Nur clones.I would have died there too.
Somnius ran off and is not answering anymore, he must have gotten tired of being shown and told how much of a contrived shit he is.Fuck me and everyone else who enables this fuck by playing his quests.
>>34380079just link this quest and post the image at>>34379703 in every Quest he runs
>>34380079>Im really not happy about thisunderstatment of the century
I'll laugh at you fags if you play his next quest where you play that idea of the droid bounty hunter in the StarWars universe and learn of a Sith that died like a bitch into a volcano?
>>34380149It has to be large so you can get a scale of the picture.
>>34379703>>34380125How about an ACTUALL better version.
This is fucking depressing
I get that Som ended it on a shitty note, but seriously, how many of you actually thought tonight would end any other way? Three threads ago I knew it was the end. I honestly expected it to end last thread.
>God damn late nights suck>Oh look Avatar quest is up, let's see how well we are doing here>GameOver in the most shitty way possiblewell fuck you too Som.
>>34380463I thought it'd end after Ren stabbed Alara's heart out.God, maybe Som just ended this because we didn't pick Nur's side, fuck, that would actually make sense
>>34380463my personal issue isn't that it ended, its how Som went about ending it. All of today felt lazy and poorly written, and made it seem like Som wanted the players to fuck up so he'd have an excuse for ending it
Should we get Pandora to run Avatar quest instead? I think she'd do a better job
>>34380621Pandora? I don't into QTG
>>34380631Runner of MGR PMC Quest and a number of others.
>>34380650I see nothing but abreveations here.
>>34380609That's how I have felt since Somnius tried to kill Alara, after that it's seemed like he has been out to get us in the most lazy and contrived way possible.
>>34380680Metal Gear Rising, Private Military Company Quest.
>>34380621Doesn't Pandora actually follow this quest?
>>34380723got links to their archives?
>>34380723sounds interesting though not quite in the vein of AvatarHow's her writing?
>>34380789Thread 1: https://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/33537981/Thread 2: https://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/33542812/Thread 3: https://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/33587234/Thread 4: https://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/33629276Thread 5: http://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/33724503/>>34380819Average, I'd say it's better than Soms though.
>>34380855Oh and, thread 6, moe editionhttps://archive.moe/tg/thread/33889355/
>>34380789>>34380819How bout it guys?I feel Shin could use someone nice at the helm
>>34381028eh I guess not like it could be any worse, though I am weary about continuing someone elses story as it rarely goes well.
What a sad and disappointing way to end a quest Somnius.
>We didn't even get to ride SharkTurtle-chan like a surf board while practicing waterbendingFuck you Som and your shit writing.
>>34381486It's obvious to anyone with half a brain he just wanted to end this quest so he can start another one, I have seen this coming since before the end of the Rebellion arc.If you don't like shitty rushed contrived endings don't play a Somnius quest.
>>34381575then he should have put it on hiatus instead of being a child
Why are there people defending Som?
>>34381987no one is, but after the sixth and seventh lashing I would think y'all would catch a clue on what to expect from Somnius.
Wow, I'm glad I dropped off before we met the Queen. I think that's around when it peaked for me. Shit just went down hill from there, eh?At least now I'm well aware Sith Quest wasn't just a one time thing, and I can just ignore Som's drek
