I'd like to preface this post by saying that this thread was inspired by a dream that must have only been the result of habitually browsing this board.A lot of games have clothing as part of general equipment, whether it be your caster's fancy robes, your fighter's street attire, or your cleric's holy vestments. A lot of games don't treat this as armor, or even encumbrance, and it gives no real mechanical benefit in many games.Because of this, some characters might be tempted to just take it off and go without, if they need to. Has anyone here ever done that in their games, and if so, to what benefit? Also, who among you has had or played a naturist/nudist character? One moment in which a party member went au natural was during a Microlite20 Campaign. The wizard (an old fuck styling himself as The Silver Alchemist) zapped a giant spider to death, and, out of disgust for arachnid viscera, decided to go without his robe and undergarments until he pilfered a loincloth from a fallen orc.I am not sure why exactly he did that; I just assume that the character was weird due to being an old dude, and that the player was wanting some shits and giggles(And yes, before you ask, I am well aware of the "Bulletproof Nudity" rule from GURPS Action, and I find it hilarious. Also, the pic's from a Drawthread from a few weeks back.)
>>34257696My first 3.5 character was a naked 'barbarian" (as in the perceived culture type) sorcerer. Males earned adult clothes through rites of passage as a Warrior. My sorcerer linked the idea that Warriors cannot use magic, and have clothes so that if he wanted to keep his magic, he must not wear clothes.Int/Wis dump stat ahoy.No benefits, just RP funnies.
>>34257759I'm currently writing a story of a Fighter (with the bloodline of a famous Archmage) learning Shadow Magic. However, to properly use and internalize it, he has to practice the somatic bits of in the buff.
>>34257805Why is nudity required for somatic components?Does he have to flex his dick in verious positions?
>>342577593.5? There's a feat you can take were war paint is your "clothing"You pretty much have to be naked to.
>>34258291Was it in the first 3 books? Cos this was way back.
My fighter once went nude while sneaking around a fortress full of bad guys looking for us, but only because I was ripping off Brock Samson really hard with that character.
>>34257696I've considered the idea.Maybe some kind of shaman/tribe could have magical tattoos that need to be visible to be used, so they wear minimal/no clothing.>inb4 magical realm
>>34258271Helps open up his mana flow; makes it easier to get the motions down and be able to cast magic more effectively.
>>34258380Why did that not help any other caster then? Or does every caster run around in the buff in this world
>>34258413This case is a fighter who's very inexperienced in using magic himself, and the removal of clothing is more of an opening up for him. It's meant to help him get more comfortable with using it.He's often wearing more restricting clothing, which kinda hinders what he can do.
>>34257696During a game of Deadlands, we had two shamans that had to get nekkid to summon the spirits. They were also old as hell, so there were some good laughs to be had at the table.
>>34258497So, is the difference between wearing undergarments and being naked THAT much a difference in generating ki/energy/man-lust? He could be wearing casual clothes and probably experience the same level of oneness with his powers.
>>34257696I played a homebrew where magic was absorbed through light. Pretty much every caster went around nude and shaved, or very close to it.
>>34257696My Fighter only wears tiny underpants while fighting because he does not want to dirty his clothes, but never full naked.
>>34258528Well, the setting he's in consists mainly of people who view clothing as a formality, rather than a necessity. It's like practicing skyclad in witch circles. It just helps the flow.
>>34258563>who view clothing as a formalityThis is getting pretty creepy. Is it at least a tropical/arid setting without significant temperature changes?
>>34258563so, a magical realm then
>>34258591Something like it. That said, he only does it in the bare to start off with, and starts to work at varying levels of encumbrance until he's able to work at full armor without many hang-ups.
>>34258591Even in tropical and arid climates people use(d) clothes whenever possible unless textiles were at a premium. Protecting your privates is a matter of practicality, not social convention.
>be druid>lol what are clothes>get cursed>become a lich>GLAMOURS HO>what are clothes
>>34258717Haha, no. Currently living Amazoniona natives just use a piece of string to keep their dicks up, because apparently floppy dicks are unsightly.Humans walk around jungles completely naked just fine.
>>34258717I actually have a race of aliens who managed to adapt for a lack of textiles through gaining more resilience in their dermal regions by way of a thicker skin and some denser hair. The also lived in hive-like hexagonal structures due to the fact that the planet they lived on having very strong climates most of their calender year. What little textiles do grow, they use for things like bedding and furnishing textiles.Their equivalent to clothing is a series of tattoos which they obtain as children following a coming of age ceremony in which they have to endure the outside world and find their spirit animal.I took inspiration from the Beasts from Phantasy Star Universe.
>>34258824>I took inspiration from the Breasts from Phantasy Star Universe.Fixed
The only time I've played as a nudist character it was a lizardfolk (or rather it equivalent). He couldn't comprehend why "softskins" are wearing clothes, as for his race it was a matter of personal pride to show off well-groomed and healthy scales, which indicated that he lived in good place and had hunting grounds so full of animals that he could slack and clean himself.
I took Compulsive Skinny Dipper as a flaw, not knowing my GM set the game in fantasy-Venice.And that is why you always ask about the setting before playing.
I almost considered doing Nudist Quest.I just don't know how it'd work outside of Kill La Kill
>>34259672Have it run for only up until the protagonist gets into their first combat encounter, or until night falls. Whichever comes first.
>>34259805Just look at how naked these people are. They're literally in the nuddy! Not a speck of fabric!
>>34259835such jungles here
>>34259859You're right. Let me showcase another tribal nudist colony of an actual tropical nation. Look at them dongs and vagoos, flopping to and fro!
>>34257696I've played naked characters before and it caused issues with my DM who thought it was a slutty thing to do. A couple threads have gotten pretty nasty when I've posted all the details, but pretty much I don't think it's a good idea.
>talking about non perfectly clad warriors with more metal than brains in /tg/shit son, you are in for a ride.
>>34259954>unless textiles were at a premium
>>34259972Tell me more.
>>34259900I bet you did it in a slutty way then.
>>34260004And, since we're talking about a game that is set in a traditional medieval society and NOT an obscure tribe in the deepest heart of the soft, warm jungle, we can assume that textile is not so much of a premium here, especially since "clothing is more of a formality".Basically, clothing is a key part of civilization for anywhere you can step on rocks or face a cold breeze, and anywhere you will find plants you can weave together or hides you can cut from corpses.
>>34260004Still shows that it's perfectly valid for a tribe to run around ass naked.Hell, supposedly the Celts fought naked. And that's Europe.Just don't do what this person did. >>34259900A friend of her gave more details in another thread. Supposedly she was trying to seduce everyone for benefits and was obnoxious in and out of game, not just about nudity.
>>34260098>we can assume that textile is not so much of a premium here, especially since "clothing is more of a formality".Unless the DM decides otherwise
>>34260109I had fun playing a monk that was usually naked, he would only put on clothes in town. He didn't usually wear clothes so that they wouldn't get messed up in battle, and I forgot to say after battle, "I get dressed" so nudity became his thing. As far as magical realm goes I didn't bring it up because to my character it was normal, everyone else is responsible for where they look.
>>34260098>we can assume that textile is not so much of a premium hereI don't see why a society that doesn't use much clothing would make enough to keep prices low regardless of whether the reason for less clothes is climate or fiat.
>>34257696I'm writing a story where one of the main characters has this as part of back-story.>Young child orphaned at the age of six, along with his older brother and younger sister.>Adopted by an eccentric, highly-paid and extremely experienced archer/assassin, who decides to adopt the three children, hoping they will become his successor.>Only the six year old shows talent as an archer and has an uncanny habit of accidentally sneaking up on people and hiding.>Four years of archery, camping, hunting and weapon-making training later, boy grows to age 10....>One day, after going to sleep, the boy awakens in the middle of a grassy field, completely naked and alone.>Soon after he awakens he is attacked by wild animals/barbarians who chase the boy. He outruns and outmaneuvers his assailants, and tries to set up camp somewhere in a deep forest.>As time passes, the boy makes his own weapons and tools for hunting and killing. As he travels around the towering forest and expansive fields that make the area, the skyclad youth realizes that he is not anywhere that could be considered his home realm. He is in another dimension. Another world. Alone and afraid. Most importantly, he is vulnerable, weak, hungry. But not stupid. >Spend the next fives years in stealthy bloodshed and constant fear. Hunting, killing, trapping, skinning, foraging, looting, sometimes even torturing. Anything to find out more about where he is and about the people trying to kill him.>Through the years of savagery and paranoia, the boy forgets his name, family, friends, or his past. All he knows now is survival and the look in a man's eyes when you shoot the life out of him.
>>34259178I've read in a book some indigenous tribes are like that. A Catholic missionary couldn't get to them until he ditched his cassock. Apparently the tribesmen though he was hiding some deformity under it. Only after he's shown himself naked and let them examine him they truly let him into the tribe.
>>34260288Anyway, I just want to know a few things.I'm thinking of having this place go through four seasons. In winter, he would wear a white fur ensemble to blend with the snow, a cloak of leaves in autumn, and be completely naked in throughout the harsh summer. What kind of psychological ramifications would this kid go through in this kind of lifestyle? I don't know if he would forget his past and his own name in five years. Is there really a function for loincloths or fur tunics?
>>34260226>I don't understand how supply and demand workAnon, please. The "premium" refers to the easy of production - if clothes are relatively easy to produce, then they will be produced to fulfill the basic human need of comfort and convenience.Even in a fantasy culture where clothing is considered bad due to reasons, which by the way runs counter to every real world culture where clothing is used as a sign of wealth and status on top of its practical purposes, laborers, soldiers, athletes etc will use clothing if it'll aid them in their tasks - and only go buff in social situations.
>>34260420>if clothes are relatively easy to produceIt's not. It never was before the industrial revolution. The only thing that ate up a greater amount of man-hours in the medieval period was food, and nothing else came even remotely close. Without a need for massive amounts of clothing, all those fields of sheep wouldn't exist. All those women who learned to spin and weave from their mothers wouldn't know what they're doing. It would be an esoteric craft profession, and clothing would therefore be expensive – as it historically was, to be sure, but expensive enough that the poor would never get any rather than that they might have less outfits than days of the week.
PCs being completely nude? No, we do have a barbarian that doesn't usually wear anything that isn't useful. But magic items, boots, and belts/backpacks are useful wherever and so are other clothes depending on the climate. Now our current setting is basically standard fantasy nations slowly colonizing NotSouthAmerica so there is more than a bit of nudity but it's mostly a background element.Additionally anything that can be worn can have armor enchantments so there is a bit of skimpy (cloth) armor or other stuff like body paint or jewelry that but other than the barbarian and that time where we got a jar that could create three batches of body paint with really good enchantments per day and no one bothered to ask if you could wear something over it for four sessions, most to the party is clothed for the climate
>>34260526Since this whole thread from the start is about fetish and not games, let's put it straight.Humans wear clothes. If they don't, they have to be so fucking primitive they barely qualify as humans. It really takes to be some remote tribe on God-forsaken small island without any spare resources AND tropical climate to abandon clothing, made from fabrics or anything else, including animal hides and foilage. You can count such occasions with fingers. So please, stop insisting that humans going bare is something we barely avoided. Don't confuse porn with reality.
>>34260681You just made so much shit up in that post that it couldn't have been on accident.
>>34257696I had one weird instance in which a wizard had her robes destroyed by fire, my wizard's robes were covered in owlbear blood, and another wizard took off their robes to make us feel more at ease. So three of us were just chillin in our birthday suits for a while, and I forgot to have my character look for more clothes afterwards. Later that day, my wizard got promoted to a high office in the local Mage's Guild (where all this shit was going down)... completely in the buff.
>>34260810It's stupid and contrived as fuck. Make as well just handwave all explanations as natural talent. And a 6 year old can't be an archer. They don't have the size or strength to use a bow.
>>34260739But it's true. You can't find a post-iron civilization that eschews wearing clothes, because clothes are excellent for all the little and big things in life. Whether it's staying comfortably warm, keeping yourself safe from minor injuries, getting yourself some more carrying capacity, or even just demonstrating that you're better than those other guys, clothes are important to civilized life. Can you name any situations where being naked would be an improvement?
>>34260838>Sir, this is a very prestigious position, don't you think you should dress-Wizard>I know, they're all wizards, but don't you think-Wizard!>Look, for Pelor's sake just put some pant- WIZARD!!!!
>>34260899Pre-emptively explain how some fabrics help with heat dissipation.
>>34260899The original Olympics were practiced in the nude, for one.
>>34260739Yup, I made up the fact that even Polynesians with their extreme backwardness managed to invent clothing.
>>34260886Well, when he's very little, it's just training and practice. But fine, I guess six is too young to start archery practice.Any other reasons why you find it so ridiculous?
>>34260681That has no real relation to the post you're replying to, and is cut heavily with total bullshit.
>>34257696Never had a PC like that, but one of our campaigns had a recurring NPC angel who went around in the nude all the time as she assisted our party in our holy quest. It was mostly played for laughs due to her being oblivious to nudity taboos existing and our party composed of five male clerics preferring to avoid the topic altogether.Although one of them married the angel in the epilogue
>>34260810PTSD, psychopath, paranoid schizophrenic, probably multiple personality disorder (or whatever they're calling it now), extreme issues with social skills, illiterate, uneducated, probably can't speak much (if at all). Sever social anxiety would be a must. Pretty much unplayable, impossible to write coherently, and pretty much better to trash it and start over, if he's going to be anything more than the setting's version of the boogeyman.
>>34260936And that's the improvement? They were practised bare, because it was a celebration of human body. It wasn't practical by any bit. Ever tried running with your penis dingling all the way around? Or jumping? Extremely not-practical
I've only done this once with a character. She was a "witch" in a sense, and certain powerful rituals required going nude or "skyclad" This was the case of much hedge magics, but in her case it was to embrace the power of her "husband" who is a powerful demon. She was one of his many "wives" all of the witches of her coven were, and their bond was marked as tattoos all over the body. This wasn't played as magical realm, she's actually cover herself up quite well, so mortal men would not covet her, and she would often speak in the stead of her "husband." to the party about certain actions.Nobody in the party actually believed her husband to be real, more a symbol of her coven. Their faces were priceless when she summoned him to destroy the bulk on an encroaching army, and approved of them as his wife's companions granting boons to the party.
>>34260934I am neither a clothier or a biologist, but I can reasonably say that cloth is a decent insulator, and will do well to keep the sun's rays off you.
>>34260996My penis is large enough to act as a stabilised counterweight and holds it's position without undue movement.I don't know about *yours*, though.
>>34260934>Pre-emptively explain how some fabrics help with heat dissipation.Sure, why not. Tell me please, why all kind and type of nomads inhabiting extremely hot and unhospitable steppes and deserts wear clothes, sometimes very thick and multi-layered, even if the temperature is way above 30 Celcius?Because being naked would end with a fucking heat stroke and severe burns, that's fucking why.
>>34261057And that's exactly why this thread mixes porn with reality... Go back to /h/, please
>>34260899You are contiving the definition of civilisation to require clothing and then claiming that clothing is requisite for civilisation. That's ass backwards. You're also completely misrepresenting how people historically use clothing and how much clothing is actually used. Heavy materials weren't a thing for hundreds of years of recorded history and pockets weren't a thing for two thousand more. You're full of it.
>>34261033This. You want to wear loose cottons over your entire body when in, say, a desert or high-heat environment, because if you don't you will die of having your skin burned to a crisp. Serious problem, significant sun-burning can result in faster dehydration, heatstroke, death.
>>34261098Who said I assumed that clothed = civilised? Aside of your jumping to some very interesting conclusions. The point was that crushing vast majority of humans, regardless of region, race, creed or culture use clothing. Because it's better in many ways than running naked. You instead spin it somehow around idea of clothes = made of fabric and clothed = civilised. From where the fuck you pulled that?!
Because of this thread I'm going to make a Sacred Fist Warpriest that worships a sky or sun diety, it will only wears Tear-Away Clothing, and will start every fight by tearing off the clothing so that it can fight cloaked fully in the glory of it's god/goddess.
>>34260420>which by the way runs counter to every real world culture where clothing is used as a sign of wealth and statusAnd run parallel to the cultures that don't use clothing as a sign of wealth and status.
>>34260996That's what the kynodesme was invented for, and it hardly counts as clothes.
>>34259894>>34259954Both tribes have access to the same raw materials with which to make clothing and live in the same climate. One wears clothes, the other doesn't. It's all a matter of cultural norms.
>>34261175YOU SAID THAT. It wasn't even implied or an assumption. >clothes are essential to civilized life>if they don't wear clothes, they are barely even humanThis is YOU.
>>34261202> And run parallel to the cultures that don't use clothing as a sign of wealth and status.Such as? Becase it was already stated that creating fabric is time-consuming and wearing different trinkets (they still count as clothes) is also a way of showing your status. So yeah, please least those magnificent cultures that doesn't treat clothing as a way of showing your status. Especially those primitive cultures you are aiming for and where fabric is so obscenely costly to make that it's even bigger way of showing your status than anywhere else...
>>34261255Papua New Guinea cultures, nudists, etc
>>34260995Alright, but what if, after he was brought back at age fifteen, he spent five or ten years being restrained, rehabilitated (but not softened) and educated enough to function in society, but had his skills as an ultimate killing machine refined?
>>34261201How would this be viable? It would be missing valuable enchantment slots.
>>34261241>clothes are essential to civilized lifeThis line only exist in your "quote", so yeah...And my line was this:> If they don't, they have to be so fucking primitive they barely qualify as humansWhich indicates that ability to wear/use/create clothes is so basic that only the most primitive tribes on very remote and resource-poor areas don't have any form of clothing. Mostly because they have nothing to use as material for clothes. And please, STOP assuming that clothes = made of fabric
>>34261238The Amazon River is a very diverse set of ecosystems. The Yagua are in Peru and Colombia, while the Amandava are in the proper Amazon Rainforest. It's likely that Peru and Colombia both have ecosystems that support simple textiles, while most the Amazon Rainforest does not.
>>34261276> Papua New Guinea cultures, nudists, etcWhich one? Seriously, which one. Because even they wear clothes. Or now we've got even better "definition" of clothes and not only they must be made of fabric, but also consist of t-shirt and shorts at least?
>>34261336A gourd on the penis is hardly clothing.
>>34261319Can you not even read your own posts? I am flabbergasted. You realize "I was only pretending to be retarded" isn't actually trolling? It's just embarassing yourself in public.
Every culture does /something/ to alter their appearance. This does not always involve covering their genitals.
>>34260995>paranoid schizophrenicI thought schizophrenia was just a chemical imbalance? Unless it's the paranoia that's important here.
>>34257696OP has a transparent fetish for public nudity and exhibitionism.OP is a faggot.
>>34261423Yes, in fact some cultures highlight their genitals with their choice of attire (for lack of a better term), like how the Aztecs pierced them with sea urchin spines for certain religious rites.
>>34261468>Piercing your dingaling>With sea urchin spinesThat sounds excruciatingly painful.
Nope, everyone's permanently armored up in RP's that I've been in.
>>34261484You're a big boy.
>>34261484Yes, that's kind of the point of the Aztecs' religion.
>>34261508Still less painful than being a Protestant, I guess.
>>34261484That's why they did it. Their religion was about sacrifice.
>>34259900Meh, even from your own description you were pretty awful to deal with.
>>34261458Amen to that
>>34261548The Aztec never did come up with the idea of cutting off part of a baby boy's penis, after all.
>>34260082Why waste my breath on that anon, if a picture is worth more than that?
>>34261593There is no way breasts that size would be self-supporting.

>>34260936Fairly certain he said that people stopped being nude once we stopped being at shitty levels of civilisation. He's right, people running around naked isnt a normal fucking thing unless they're super barbaric.
>>34261609But they do in Pornvill, Fetish US
>>34261609Get on with the times anon, didn't you know that mage armor comes with bra function?

>>34261678Of course anon, its fucking magic.
>>34261732Those are well within self-supporting size.
>>34261731Welcome to 4chan, where heterosexual sex is a weird fetish.
>>34261755I'm pretty sure it's a function of other issues, not 4chan; but that's a dead horse and I'll let it be.
>>34261289You aren't made an ultimate killing machine from spending your teens malnourished, without access to medicine and without any education or social contact.Feral children are autists with a shitload of medical issues from not knowing how to properly survive *as a human*.Look, from the way you speak you sound like a kid with a concept that seems cool in your head but really, it's a trite teen power fantasy. If you want something like it that actually sounds reasonable, go for the high fantasy/myth aspect, the wild man from the uncivilized jungles, the boogeyman from the wastes, tarzan, the man raised by beasts, Romulus and Remus. That angle. Don't try to explain it. It won't stand up to logic. So throw it away - because the more you add, the shittier it'll look, and more hoops you'll be forced to jump.
>>34261747More magical breast for this anon!
I had an idea for a monk (or monk-like character, not necessarily that specific class) who took a vow against clothing so as to be entirely unfettered in combat, as a way of proving that he/she needed literally nothing except his/her body to accomplish great things.

>>34262228oh... oh god... it seems I'm more /tg/ than I even though.
>>34262241Yes. There was one guy in the Old Testament who wanted to marry a princess, and she'd heard Jews did circumcision, so she demanded a hundred foreskins from the guy's national enemies. He came back with two hundred because he wasn't the type to fuck around.

>>34262328Which led to the hilarious (To modern ears) argument about whether Gentiles converting to Christianity needed to be circumcised and keep kosher back in the days of Saint Peter. Seriously, read the Letters sometime and read between the lines, this was a serious question back in the day.

>>34262241You obviously haven't heard of the Hebrews.faggot
>>34262404No? Christians don't keep kosher and circumcision is more an American thing than a Christian thing these days. Americans have somehow ended up with the cultural perception that the foreskin just looks gross, off with the fucking thing.
>>34260934There are some basic ones. Light-colored clothing reflects light and dissipates heat by preventing it from being absorbed as effectively. Heavy clothing traps cooler air underneath it and insulates it from the outside, allowing you to stay relatively cool. More importantly, in the desert the main issue is preventing dehydration. Clothing prevents moisture from being drawn out of your skin as easily by the dry, hot winds.
>>34262449I'm so glad I'm from the reasonable half of North America. Canadian girls love that shit and American girls just chalk it up to "eh, he's Canadian; I'm just glad he's not introducing me to his sled dog team and expecting me to remember the names"

>>34262189I'm not that guy, but you're making a rather poor showing of yourself.
>>34262476No, Hebrews are a races, Judaism is a religion. Most (if not all) of the original Hebrews were Jewish, so the two are often conflated.
>>34257696>I am well aware of the "Bulletproof Nudity" rule from GURPS ActionWell I'm not. What is it?
>>34262449It's also a Worst Korean thing now, (and to a lesser extent Japanese) as the Yanks somehow convinced them it was a good idea.Probably by getting all their women addicted to American dick, I guess.
>>34262476In the sense that the English and the Irish are the same thing, I think.>>34262508Yeah, this, pretty much, although you tend to hear the term "Ethnically Jewish" thrown around a lot more these days than you do "Hebrew"
>>34262508>Hebrews are a races[sic], Judaism is a religion.Jews aren't Judaism, ya git.
>>34262520It was all Dr.Kellogg's fault, that quack.>>34262528Jews are adherents to Judaism.
>>34257696I ran a game a while back that took place in a fantasy bronze age desert culture inspired by ancient Egypt, Sumeria, Babylon, etc.Clothing was more of an accessory than a means of modesty, so one character played the whole game completely naked, instead decorated with jewelry and bodypaint to establish their social status.Since there was no real nudity taboo, there wasn't much actual reference to the nudity. Didn't really change the game.
>>34262520>Probably by getting all their women addicted to American dick, I guess.Hahaha! I am Japanese woman. Non-Japanese actually believe this?
>>34262542Well, that's how it started. Now Americans are used to circumcised cocks and foreskins just look weird/gross to us/them now. It's the weirdest damn thing.
>>34257696In Legends of the Wulin I played Storm God's Fury/Nine Sun Birds xia that took his pants off because he thought it made him more agile.
>>34262558Non-Japanese see that Japanese women and men are increasingly not making babies, but at least one half of the population is having sex, by virtue of having a vagina and a man around.
>file deleted>file deletedFuck you mods
>>34262572It's the worst thing ever, especially the double standard of it all. Ceremonially pricking a baby girl is illegal, cutting of a decent portion of a baby boy's penis is A-OK, if not medically recommended.
>>34262592Very stupid and lazy post here.
>>34262592But neither gender is having sex. The men are all kissless virgin otakus with no interest in women and the women are all gold diggers going after the top 5% richest dudes. If you pay attention to the Japanese news media.
>>34262512Basically, in GURPS Action (which is meant to be a sourcebook on everything in Action Movies), there's an optional rule for adding evasion points for characters wearing less and less clothing.Functionally, this means you can engage in battlefield streaking and become much harder to hit.
>>34262639/r/ing the picture, /tg/. Don't let me down.
>>34262558Asian people are the most likely ones to have an interracial marriage. No joke.
Just leaving this herehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Butt_Naked
>>34262632Gold diggers generally have flings on the sly, it's kinda what they do. I guarantee you in a culture that fetishizes body hair, having body hair gets you laid.
>>34262686I had heard that in reference to America, certainly not worldwide.
>>34262449The idea is that foreskins are unhygienic and useless. Gross is just the end result of those preconceptions
>>34260810Read the books Hatchet and Brian's Winter. A kid who grows up isolated an in an environment of extreme violence will not be recognizably human.
>>34262771It was less that a year each time, and the kid was already like 12.
>>34262474I'm also Canadian and I'm circumcised. Didn't have a choice in the matter, but it hasn't hindered me at all.
>>34262901Not really the point. There's a lot of shit you can do to a kid that won't hinder them at all, doesn't mean you should go do them all.
>>34262901It limited the amount of space on your person in which you could smuggle small objects, didn't it?
>>34262946Sure, but I don't see the practicality of smuggling things in your foreskin. If anything, that's just more of a hassle.
>>34262901If you've ever masturbated, and let's face it, you're on /tg/; you've masturbated. Anyway, if you've ever masturbated, being clipped was a hinderance.
>>34262901Twenty-year-old Danzig Norberg:>born with spina bifida, which in his case meant his spine wasn’t fully developed at his time of birth. At birth, part of his spine was exposed, and the doctors were forced to close it. Norberg is paralyzed from the knees down, and opted for a wheelchair over other options such as crutches or a walker.>“Walking for the sake of walking was never that important for me,” Norberg said. “I wanted the easiest way for me to be mobile so I can live my life. Wheelchairs are just fun.”>It’s all he’s known during his life, and he said he hardly even thinks about it.>“I’ve never thought, ‘Things are so rough because I have this condition,’” Norberg said. “It’s just part of who I am and what I am. Just because I have it, that doesn’t mean I can’t do whatever I want to do. It hasn’t hindered me at all.”>“It hasn’t hindered me at all.”
>>34263000>you're on /tg/; you've masturbatedMore like "you're with over 90% of the human race".
>>34263000I've masturbated sure, but I'm not sure what you mean by being clipped?I use lube/saliva because it's fun and feels good?
>>34263061And because the natural gliding action of your foreskin has been taken from you.
>>34263028You comparing circumcision to disability?I assure you I and it is quite able.
>>34263028There's a huge difference between removing a mostly vestigial flap of skin and being paraplegic.
>>34263085Well no, I was jacking before I came to love lube, and it was fun and felt good then too,Lube is just, super fun. Girls love it too.
>>34263105>>34263102Then what's the problem with removing 'beef curtain' style superfluous labia from baby girls?>>34263122And women have reported less irritation and discomfort during sex with foreskin-having penises in comparison to cut ones.
>>34261026Ah! Now I want to hear more!
>>34263161I've had no complaints, serves me just fine.
>>34263342And most women who were circumcised in Africa didn't have any complaints, in fact it was the women who did the circumcisions and were angry that it was being outlawed by people coming into their countries.
>>34263369Are you trying to convince me I'm disadvantaged in some way? You won't.
>>34263421You had a healthy part of your body cut off. That's pretty universally seen as a bad thing to do to someone, especially a baby.
>>34263286The most memorable characteristics about her would how she would veil suggestions or her own ideas with the topic of her "husband."Like. "My husband would suggest we try to negotiate with the rioters" or "My husband wouldn't approve of trying to steal this item from here, he'd wait till later when the item is in transit." She was quite intelligent, but it was behind the veil of a dutiful bragging housewife. Very fun character to play. Her magic worked on the basis of seducing her husband, so revealing the tattoos would entice it to work it's power. Basically no nookie unless you heal the fighter. It was hilarious conceptually.
>>34263610So, basically, you're a Huckster from Deadlands with significantly less risk/reward and no need for anything but persuasive skill?
>>34264170Maybe?Not familiar with Hucksters. It was more this demon was busy doing demon things beyond reality, and the nagging wife would want him to do something, which he would not do without a bribe or threat, ergo the seduction.
>>34258413might as well they can't wear armor. and who's gonna argue with a guy that shoots lightningbolts.I'm sorry sir, we can't serve you. no shoes, no shirt, no serv-KRAKOW!U-uh, right this way sir.
>>34258824>always naked>dense hairso wookies then.
>>34264554Yes, and then the entire party is arrested by the town guard for murdering a random person. Great thinking, mage!
>>34263102Nope, just pointing out the similar views on its effects. protip: he doesn't consider himself disabled either.>>34263105The point is, he doesn't think being a paraplegic is a problem; you presumably do. Given that differences of opinion exist for things like this, specific indiviudals being fine with a given condition isn't really an indication that it really is fine.
>>34257696>Because of this, some characters might be tempted to just take it off and go without, if they need to. Has anyone here ever done that in their games, and if so, to what benefit? My character is undergoing a series of tests, the latest of which is survive in the jungle for a week with no equipment. All of her clothing got turned into useful items.
>>34264763Mentality is irrelevant; the bulk of research into the issue (and there has been a bulk of research into it) has been inconclusive regarding the effects of male circumcision, with reported effects being more situational than common to all circumcised or uncircumcised individuals. This is also why female circumcision is hated, since you asked earlier, because the research into it has shown that it leads to an increased risk of disease and issues related to sex. The two are not comparable at all, which is why female circumcision is now more properly referred to as female genital mutilation. You're basically not even comparing apples to oranges, you're comparing apples to steak.
>>34257696Only in ERP and "kinda sorta initially intended as ERP but none of us felt like actually RPing the E so it ended up being a normal campaign with fetishy characters" campaigns. Closest I came in a normal session was an elf sorcerer who preferred wearing light, flowing dresses, but the going commando part never actually came up in the game
>>34264881So because there might be some very small benefit to it it's OK to cut off part of baby boys' genitals, even though no-one has actually taken the effort to fully study the health effects of doing so? Yeah, that sound toooootally reasonable.
>>34263421>>34263102The point I think they are hamhandedly trying to make is that with no experience of uncurcumcision to compare, you don't realise just how comparatively disadvantaged you are.Studies on individuals who have been circumcised after sexual maturity indicate that there is a *significant* loss if sensation in the glans in circumcised individuals compared to uncircumcised. The process kills a fuckload of nerves.
>>34265067>even though no-one has actually taken the effort to fully study the health effects of doing so?There have been a shit-ton of studies into the effects of circumcision, I literally said that in the very post you just quoted.Personally I don't think it should happen, but it's also not that big an issue in the grand scheme of things unless those doing it completely botch it like those retarded orthodox Rabbis.>>34265175List five studies saying that and I'll list five saying there's no real effect. Taking as a whole, the results of the research have not provided a clear consensus one way or the other.
>>34265175So?If it works just as well, and is still pleasurable, what use is it in dwelling on something you can never get back?Just use the damn thing.
>>34259900Hey, you were that Tumblrite bitch who thought desert-dwellers didn't wear clothes! I remember him complaining about you. Stop being such a shitty player
UH, GUYS?This was a great thread we were having. Can we NOT have this devolve into a Circumcision debate comment-war?
>>34265233>>34265233Funniest thing; most of the studies saying is has bad effects are done by European institutions, and the majority of the ones that say inconclusive/no problem are American-based.Bit of a cultural bias, maybe?
>>34262610Well the girl version is shown to be medically bad for them (articles about it in Africa) whereas the male version is annoying but you never have to clean it and you're unhindered by it so...
>>34265583>never have to clean itYou still have to clean your penis, even if you're circumcised. Also cutting off part of your genitals is pretty hindering when it comes to sexual activity.
>>34264881This person gets it, now back to the actual thread please
>>34265583>Unhindered*not* having a foreskin is a hinderance - it reduces sensitivity over time and the process damages a fuckload of nerves. Also the cleaning argument is bunk. The *only* way that it becomes an infection risk is if the individual has such a shocking disregard for personal hygiene they would have ended up with horrible infections regardless of their state of circumcision.
>>342657261.But you usually don't have to peel anything back much to do so2.Not when youre a babbi, or not even where most of the nerves arr3.This thread was about naked RPG characters, LET IT GO BACK TO THAT AND CAN WE GET SOME PICS IN IT PLEASE.
During the playtest for D&D Next my group had to have their druid and a local npc strip naked to complete a reincarnation ritual.
>>34265821If its not about naked RPG characters, I don't care. STOP BEING DISTRACTED!
>>34265854You heard the man.Time for some HARDCORE NUDITY!
>>34265854Yeah, that extra five second of pulling back your foreskin and rising the head off is totally worth cutting off part of your body for.
>>34265949small question /tg/ why do they always have 3 fingers/toes? is it a rule or can there be a 5 fingered/toed warforged?
>>34266014>why do they always have 3 fingers/toes?Because it's easier for the artist to draw.>is it a rule or can there be a 5 fingered/toed warforged?Make them look however you want.
>>34266014It's just the default
>>34266031The most horrifying thing of all- a robot skeleton
Darn it, I remember a frame from an anime where a bunch of girls were in a hot springs, and it was explained via subtitles that the steam clouds were magically attracted to their naughty bits, thus preventing nudity. No idea the source tho...
>>34266055>>34266072ah thank you for enlighten me up my friend
>>34265949Is this naked enough for you?
>>34261026>approved of them as his wife's companions granting boons to the party.> the sky bleeds black> reality screams in agony> water burns and fire freezes> YOU MORTALS THERE ARE COOL FOR TREATING MY WAIFU WELL. HERE HAVE SOME BLESSINGS, BWAHAHAHAHA!...that's kind of cool.
back to the topic?
>>34265241>what use is it in dwelling on something you can never get back? Not taking that same thing away from your sons as well, in the name of social pressure and tradition.
>>34266465>>34266539These have exactly nothing to do with the OP. You're just upset that your shitty thread got derailed with something that was actually interesting.
>>34266534That's the decision of the parents.
>>34266630Why? It's not for girls.
>>34266630Right. Which is why they should consider the matter carefully. Did you not read the post you're replying to?
>>34266775Sure they should consider the mater carefully, but if hey do decide to circumcise even still? What then?
>>34265811That first one has never been proven. Ever. It's pure conjecture, and not supported by those who have circumcisions later in life, like in their 20s, for religious conversions or health problems (like having a too-small foreskin.) Even when reporting again forty years later. The cleaning argument is exceedingly relevant in areas of extreme humidity -- both high and low.
>>34266835Then fine. The question was>What use is it in dwelling on something you can never get back? The answer is, that you can change the future for you children if you decide to; the idea that what's done is done is an empty argument when there boys being born every day.
>>34261610Then you have never been acquianted with what happens to people in extreme isolation for long periods. Or the psychological flimsiness of puberty-age individuals.
>>34266878>never been proven>exceedingly relevantSounds like you care deeply about properly researching these things,>citations: 0Oh. Nevermind.
>>34267099At the top of >>34267045, where I reference your post with zero references for your claims. Did you see any other claims made in >>34267045 that I might need to reference?
>>34267099>Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.
>>34265233>List five studies saying that and I'll list five saying there's no real effect. So studies are just points now? One good study overturns 100 poor ones.
>>34268391Define a good study.
>>34268452It's not binary, so it doesn't lend itself to a concise definition. Better questions: good for what? compared to what?
>>34261026>>34263610OP Here. Gotta say, these two bits here are my favorite so far.
>>34261484Sounds pretty damn hot if you ask me.
>>34260996Actually they sewed the genitals to the body to prevent that. I think they genuinely were trying to streamline themselves for performance.
>>34264806I remember dreaming I was in a PDF thread, and someone posted a PDF of a survival game.
>>34271856But we didn't ask you
This has been a pretty decent thread, even with the derails.
>>34276599Truly, a tragedy.
