Most Bloodletters are footsoldiers barely capable of holding their own against even a single Ork Warboss. Or, at least, that’s been your experience with the other members of your “race.” Where they’ve failed to claim glory, you’ve torn it from the very fires of battle itself. Still, there is but so much infamy one such as yourself can earn while remaining in the Immaterium. Seeking out a means to breach the walls of reality led you to an Imperium Vessel named the “Slayer of Raptor.” There you found a Blood Cult attempting a rite of vengeance against an Inquisitor responsible for the very massacre that spawned you. With any luck, the massacre to come would be even more worthy of notice in the song and legend that is your coming.Welcome to Khornette Quest. ---So here we are again, in the mind of Cinder the Khornette. You did great while in the Warp, yet how will you fare in the Materium? The rules are different here after all. And you’ve got an Inquisitor of all things to contend with. Totally nothing to worry about though. I’m sure you’ll be fine.If you’re a die-hard lover of canon, I suggest you turn away now. I’d like to think I’ll do Chaos justice here though. The key thing at the end of the day is to have fun, whatever that means in this instance.

You’ll want to roll under the characteristic value in order to pass the check. The more degrees of success (every multiple of 10 counts as 1), the more awesome of a result. A 1 is a guaranteed success, and a 100 is a guaranteed failure. Best of three rolls when it’s called for, with a 1 or a 100 instantly taking precedence. If you see multiple characteristics being called for, each 1d100 counts for its respective test. There’s been a change to how infamy works. You may burn (i.e. gone forever) 10 infamy to completely reroll a check (i.e. three new 1d100). If you have above 10 infamy, you are allowed a single additional 1d100 roll for any check during a session. If you have any questions/etc, now’s the time. Otherwise, I’ll push the first bit in about ten minutes. Also… keep excessive meta to QTG. Some is fine and to be expected, but I’d rather it not get out of hand. Bickering just slows everything down.
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY
We must acquire more wounds so we may tell all sorts of stories.
Two hours have passed since your arrival in the Materium. You’ve remained in the cargohold thus far, both to wait for your wounds to heal and to gather more information. Though normally a daemon has unnatural levels of regeneration, it seems the manner in which you’re anchored to realspace is dampening yours. Grilling the human responsible for leading the ritual has been less than helpful as well. Partly because he seems to slowly be losing his mind.In fact, most of the remaining cultists are growing more insane with every passing moment. That’s to be expected though. Mortals generally don’t respond well to prolonged exposure to Chaos in any form. Let alone a scarlet-scaled tower of iron-muscle and feminine death. Some have taken to running in circles, while others have begun clawing out their own eyes while gibbering. Only one monkey seems to be unfazed. Ever since you coalesced, he’s been in the same corner silently polishing his chainsword. Making matters worse, it seems someone noticed your intrusion through the Gellar Field. The pair who brought you food informed you that there are groups of acolytes sweeping through the ship. It seems Lord Inquisitor Gaelos is a member of the Ordo Malleus to boot. Any specifics beyond that are currently either unknown or trapped in the minds of these blathering idiots.(cont)
>>34094368You’re not worried though. All of that just makes it a fair fight for Gaelos. The question now was: how would the battle for the “Slayer of Raptor” start?> Fortune favors the bold. If you remove the Inquisitor, you remove the only real threat to you on this vessel.> You might need a little help on this one. See if Mr. Silent can obtain you more ritual sacrifices so you can bring in more daemons.> So long as the blood flows, Khorne will be pleased. Focus on securing control over the Gellar Field Generator> A little show of strength might help destabilize order onboard. Besides, Acolytes have to be tastier than Grox meat right?> Write in(Also, have this lovely map of the Slayer of Raptor)

>>34094385> So long as the blood flows, Khorne will be pleased. Focus on securing control over the Gellar Field GeneratorWhy is this thing important, anyway?
>>34094487For the uninitiated into 40k lore, it's basically an anti-daemon shield. Without it, daemons will tear apart everyone and everything onboard while the ship goes through the Warp.
>>34094487It protects from the effects of the immaterium during warp travel.

>>34094385>5By the way OP, hope you realize that the ships literally have hundreds of thousands of people on them. And we're going to gut them all.
>>34094741This is a great idea.
>>34094741Oh god this.
>>34094741There's nearly no way this plan could fail. And if it does, then we'll fight the Inquisitor!
>>34094741the varius cruisers and battleships tend to have upwards of 100k crew, though smaller ships differ significantlydepending on what class the Slayer is, it could have anything from a couple thousand from being a small patrol vessel like a Cobra class (though even their crew estimates vary wildly), but if we're lucky this is a Grand Cruiser with a couple hundred thousand and plenty of loot
>>34094838Even 100 would be good.Slaying 10k would be awesome.Although realistically even if there was 100k, we'd be seeing maybe 1000 being killed by us, 10k by the others, and the rest joining us as cultists.
>>34094741231,823 as of last Crew-wide census. Is it really wise to just randomly slaughter though? It might just mean you end up being cornered by the =][= sooner. But maybe that's your plan all along.---As for those of you voting for :The Gellar Field: an invention by the hairless apes to shield them from the beauty that is Chaos. Without one, any vessel that dared used the Warp as a conduit of travel was doomed to being consumed and corrupted. If you disabled or destroyed the one present on the Raptor, it would allow countless other daemons to flood inside. Such an incursion would easily solve your Inquisitor problem, but wouldn’t be as glorious as taking the entire ship by yourself. The generator is sure to be guarded in at least some capacity. Probably even more so than usual when taking into account the Inquisitor’s experience with Daemons. ---Normally, I wouldn't provide such +/-'s to options. It's important enough of a decision though that you get them this time. But if you're sure...
>>34094883I'm just gonna restate my vote for > You might need a little help on this one. See if Mr. Silent can obtain you more ritual sacrifices so you can bring in more daemons. We could use the extra help but we don't want to give the ship up to thousands of other greedy demons
>>34094883>Is it really wise to just randomly slaughter though? If we randomly assault them we're seeing a scenario which >>34094877 described, very few would actually die, most become cultists. We can also organize it so the cultists jam the doors in the major rooms, so they can't run. From there we can organize mass rituals and summon in a blood thirster, ride on his horns and fight the Inquisitor.
>>34094883>The generator is sure to be guarded in at least some capacity. Probably even more so than usual when taking into account the Inquisitor’s experience with Daemons.Whatever's tougher is fine with me. Seems like something we'd do anyway.Besides, as long as we're the one person who started and ended this charade then I don't see the problem.
>>34094935I can roll with this if that's what people want for the write-in option. Either way, I'll give it a bit more.
>>34095040Yeah lets do it. Get this show on the road.

>>34094385A little chaos and bloodshed is the perfect way to start a crusade. Or so you think anyways. Rising from your seat atop the same crushed crates you threw a cultist into earlier, you address your “followers.”“Listen up maggots. Any of you brave and strong enough to follow in my wake had better get their precious pink rears in gear. I’m going for a little stroll~”The result is largely what you expected. A cheer goes up along with the sounds of weapons being removed from sheaths. Mr. Silent barely even lifts his hood though. And the two playing badminton with their eyeballs don’t seem to really care about anything else. So that makes 13 in all.“Where shall we begin, mistress?” asks the ritual leader. You note he’s changed his pants again.“Simple,” you reply. “We shall herd the denizens of the ship into the cargoholds then slaughter them to bring forth more of my brethren.”“An excellent plan, mistress. She is wise and powerful.”You’ve decided his name is now Brown-Nose. A shriek later sees you scaring a growing mass of humans towards a cargohold Brown-Nose is preparing. But…” The whisper of a frown crosses her face but for a moment. “I hope you have a plan for that fire.”“Yes I do. It’s called ‘Not get hit.’”She just sighs in response. Ten minutes later you’re waiting on the deck above as she piles copious amounts of acid upon a single spot. The acrid smell might bother you if you were mortal, but it just serves to excite you more. Soon you were going to be fighting something worthwhile.A clang signals the acid finally finishing its bore through the desk. Shouts of alarm ring up through the opening, but you’ve already dived towards it. Below you see the massive generator thrumming away. Several Tech Priests can be seen lugging around chain guns twice their size. Acolytes are scrambling to rearrange their barriers against the breech. Servitors begin bleating and whirring into action. >>34101132The first order of business is closing the gap between you and the Inquisitor. You place your claws on either side of the hole in preparation to launch yourself at him, then snap your muscles all at once to become a living daemon bullet.Sadly, it seems Gaelos has other ideas. Not only does he easily dodge out of your way, but you catch a blast of fire for your troubles (-9 wounds). You’re just barely able to pull yourself from the damning blaze in time to dodge the second jet of flame. “This is it? I expected more…” he taunts. “I’ve made worse daemons in the toilet bowl.”You snarl and pull yourself together from the heap you landed in. Before he can utter another word you leap at him again. You feint a blow to the head, only to drive your claws into the man’s stomach. You feel the air go out of him as a trickle of blood emerges from the site of impact. Seems he has on a bit more armor than you expected.Almost immediately both flamethrowers come to bear. Being this close to him, however, you only take a lick of the flames instead of a full on blast (-2 wounds). That’s fine by you though. Because in wasting time attacking you he’s left himself open for another slash. It doesn’t quite disembowel him, but it’s enough of a wound that he’ll need a tech priest at least for new intestines. “Now acolytes! Care not for my well being! >>34102630If we have to pick a disease, we're picking from our favorites, the ones that involve blood. Or we could do something with "Humours."
>>34102288This'll sound super dumb but I'll ask anyway. What happened to Ograth? Why's Cinder having a demon-boner for it?
>>34102619Oh! That's ideal. You only get it from sharp things.>>34102612Khorne and Nurgle are as close to Bro's as two Gods could be. Khorne wants violence, blood and skulls. Nurgle wants rot, which dead bodies do nicely. And if a disease is bad enough, it makes you crazy, and will do anything to die, like pick a fight with something that will rip you a new one.
>>34102632>in b4 we get attacked by the "Malalia."
>>3410267912 hrs notice is more than enough. Again, thanks for the fun tonight.
>>34102708It's the motive those dumb cultists had for doing the ritual.
>>34102679Thank you for running!>>34102708The Sanguine Taint?
>>34102692>Haemophilia>literally the 'makes you bleed a lot' diseaseanon pls
>>34102663I'll decide on specifics later. Definitely lots of books on daemons though!>>34102708You (both Cinder and the players) don't know the specifics of what happened on Ograrth. All you know was that the entire planet was massacred and such bloodshed let you be born.
>>34102739Ohhh. I thought I was missing some canon lore stuff. Started to bother the fuck out of me. Thanks.
>>34102739Do we have some fleeting memories or dreams of said bloodshed?
>>34102738Okay, so we call our ship the 'Haemophiliacker!'
>we have to make a fellowship role to add Acerea to our party>we failI just want to be a daemon Big Boss, is that so hard?
>>34102739Ooohh then we have some learnings to do.And a birthday to mark on the calender! >>34102780That's almost as bad as "The Rusty Shank" which was my first idea for a ship's name. Sounded to Slaanesh to me. Like is some sort of nickname for a vile sexual act involving....uh....something [b] would come up with.
>>34102770You did during your birth yes. Nothing coherent enough to go on though. >>34102745Hey at least now it's your own fault if you fail knowledge checks. No more "I can't read!" excuses. For real though, the =][= probably had some nice stuff around but I need to think on it.>>34102809For shits and giggles, go ahead and roll. It won't change anything.
>>34102708All we know is that we were spawned from a bloodpool on the recently chaos tainted Ograth and that apparently it was the Inquisitor's fault that it fell to Chaos.
Is it probable that our rivals are going to be a Tzeentchette and her Daemonette sidekick who are focused on putting together brilliant and devious plans that are works of art in their intricacy and performance?
Rolled 2 (1d100)>>34102821Commence Shitting and Giggling!
>>34102835She likes us, apparently.
>>34102835>Arcerea is now hopelessly in love with us and keeps trying to make us rot cookies to show how much she wants our bloody channel
>>34102834Probably, given we'd try to kill both of them on sight.
>>34102891>Arcerea's face, right now
>>34102876Eh, a 2 isn't a critical. This just means that next week there isn't going to be a civil war over what the ship's name should be.
>>34102891>>34102901>"I-I hope Cinder-sempai notices me..."
>>34102913Acerea is likely to find the Biofloor and then not care about what the rest of the ship's named. Look at the ship diagram again. She's got a whole big section of ship to play in.
>>34102894Yeah, it would definitely be under the most extenuating of circumstances that Chaos Undivided Rangers would be a thing. Like our collective admiration for a devoted cultist whom is calling us to assist them, or a dickish enemy whom we all hate more than each other. Did I use "whom" right?
>>34102969Speaking of, how's this for halfsies?
>>34103013Yes you did.The only reason Nurgle & Khorne work is because Nurgle is a big bro and Khorne doesn't care so long as there's blood at the end of the day. An actual Black Crusade might be something we end up doing if the subtle hints are any indication
>>34103035We mustn't let Acerea tamper with the life support systems. Or should we?
>>34103069She's got the hab floors in that diagram. It's pretty much the same thing. I wouldn't be surprised if she turned the entire thing into some sort of mini Warp Forest or something
>>34103069>>34103084She can do whatever she wants to her half of the ship as long as our half is still usable.
>>34103111She also needs to help us with that Madness Fog Generator idea.
>>34102917Wouldn't it be more of >Ara ara, I hope Cinder has use of an old plaguebearer like me
>>34103169I still think that's just going to invite a bunch of meddling acolytes to the ship.
>>34103191Judging her thus far, yes.
>>34102821Well, tonight's session was fun, and Acerea's rot powers are surprisingly cool. G'night, NotELH! I look forward to more of this.
