>Fire>Air>Water>EarthPreviously, on Avatar Quest......After several weeks of helping to run the settlement in your father's absence, you were informed that the Queen wished to meet you, and after saying goodbye to those you wished to say goodbye to, you departed. After being escorted to the capital, you met the Queen in her throne room. She was very happy to see you, and she acted very pleasantly towards you. After answering a few questions, you demonstrated your Earthbending for her against one of her guards. The two of you spoke for a while longer before she showed you to your room. Falling asleep, you were confronted by the previous Avatar, who seemed rather unimpressed with you. The two of you spoke for a time, trading quite a few insults and accomplishing very little. You woke up and visited the Queen, who revealed that she knew you were the Avatar. The two of you briefly discussed the implications of that, during which time you admitted you knew nothing about leadership or being the Avatar. The Queen introduced you to one of her advisors, Lathic, the son of Avatar Gonyo. The Queen left the two of you alone, and you discussed your distrust of the Queen with Lathic. He told you the history of Queen Alara and Ren, and gave his account of the Queen's side of things. You decided that you should try to help Alara and Ren work things out, but that you should first see the city for yourself.
>Welcome to Avatar Quest. Here are the rules.Decisions are made by vote. Each vote has a ten minute interval, after which, the option that receives the most votes it the one that is chosen. There are no write-ins unless explicitly statedSome options require rolls. In that event, rolls will be out of 100. Whether rolls succeed or fail is decided by the first three rolls. If one passes, then you succeed regardless of the other two. Rolls will really only occur during training, or when trying something new.All decisions are final. If you regret voting for something, too bad. Try speaking with the Queen, see if you can convince her to let you roam the city. If not, come tell me and I will try speaking on your behalf. For some reason I feel like Somnius dislikes us shopping.
>>33855532>D. Grab some white clothesI find this idea very appealing.
>>33855745probably because this is /tg/ and with shopping there is rarely consensus

>>33855892Sneaky =/= incognito.I'm going with >>33855852
>>33855892We're not trying to be stealthy, though. We're trying to be distinct from our usual look. If people associate us with bright white clothing there will be a disconnect when we go back to our usual clothes.

>>33856348>>33856282You make your way to the nearby weapon shop, which is mostly empty outside of you and the shopkeeper. >>33856171Get Galda a pair of daggers, preferably a twin set. Then get Shin a suit of armor, lightweight scale or lamellar would probably be best. And I kind of want to get Shin a tetsubo

>>33856572both of our parents are renowned military leaders
>>33856578both are best, and both get the D. preferably together-gotta get that sister sandwich anon
>>33856493>tetsuboOh damn.. I like that anon. I'll definitely second that. Its also good for "non lethal" combats
>>33856594I'd rather have a regular staff, personally. Can do all of those things without slowing us down as much. Aang sure got a lot of mileage from his.
>>33856594plus, since its a big smashy stick, it doesnt matter if fire and rock crush any edges or fuck the temper
>>33856486i can dig>>33856493especially tetsubo Avatar-we can spar with Galda and learn to be a good fighter without bending and then move to threesomes with her and Felna
>>33856493eh I'd rather have a crane fan but a Tetsubo would be pretty neat.
>>33856637aang was a flighty poofball airbender. we are stronk, like earf.

>>33856692gaaaaaayyyyyyyy.staffs are better for fire anyways. helps with flame blades. you need aoe? just dragon breath
>>33856633>Huh what's a tetsubo?>Googles it>Two handed big ass studed maceNon lethal my ass
>>33856633I would hesitate to call a tetsubo a less than lethal weapon, let alone non lethal.

>>33856692You I like you>>33856717But anon you're forgetting best girl Turtle shark >>33856726>Crane fan >Not stylish as fuck for firebending
>>33856729>>33856731Well broken limbs are a lot less lethal than a shit ton of fire to the face. And is a lot easier to do pinpoint strikes. Agreed though, its significantly more less than lethal than non lethal. Better than a blade anyway.
>Not a single person suggested a glaive
>>33856798the tetsubo has choices.sure, it can be used like a staff. break a rib or two, smash a leg in.but also it can crush skulls and murder with relative ease. thats useful. its like swiss army combat.
>>33856771not in this time period. Assuming Avatar somewhat mimics real history when it comes to social norms in the same way it does technology (which it has in the shows), having multiple wives would be accepted and even encouraged so long as the husband could support them all. I think the acceptable limit is usually around six or seven in most cultures, except during the Qing dynasty due to multiple inheritance laws
>>33856520>>33856532>>33856538>>33856546You decide to take a look at the daggers, for some reason wanting to get Galda a set as a gift. Why you're getting a gift for someone who nearly murdered you and regularly assaults your brother, you're not quite sure. Maybe it's a peace offering, maybe a gesture of friendship, or maybe you just owe her a new dagger. You spot a set of twin daggers with golden hilts, priced at four gold pieces. You spot another twin set with decorated hilts, each dagger having twin dragons coiling around the hilts with their faces touching each edge at the bottom of the blade. The set costs two gold. You spot a single dagger with the same design priced at one gold. You also spot many plain daggers and sets for much lower prices.>A. Get the gold twin set>B. >>33856873assume you're a faggot, -which is pretty much undeniable at this point- shut up and get out with the harem end waifu bullshit. this isnt firebender quest
>>33856857I'm a massive glaive faggot. I championed for that for Som's Saiyan quest so damn hard... but as I've been saying. The Tetsubo is actually a good option.
>>33856857It's like they don't even want to be a great general of the heavens
>>33856894B-I feel like she'd prefer the dragon motif to gold hiltsthen look at tetsubos
>>33856894>B. Get the twin dragon twin setHeh she's certainly fiery like a dragon....>H. Look at maces TETSUBO GET!>>33856912whatever happened to firebender quest?
>>33856894>B. Get the twin dragon twin set>H. Look at macesI do believe a tetsubo would be under maces
>>33856894We definitely owe her a dagger. She lost one in the bandit's skull when we fed him to Shark-Turtle. Which now makes me wonder if Shark-Turtle is okay. I assume so, it would have become obvious by now if there were sharp shards of metal cutting up its stomach. Maybe it crunched it up to harmless bits.
>>33856940you know, im not even sure. bread just sort of vanished. probably got tired of the waifu harem arguments honestly
>>33856894>B. Get the twin dragon twin set>H. Look at macesI'm guessing this is where tetsubos are>>33856912>not wanting to fuck royal siblings

>>33856894>BGet das social link>IGet a glaive up in this bitch. Ouki would be dissapoint otherwise
so guys are we really just going to lug around a huge fuck off mace that we don't know how to use all day?
>>33857032oh course not we're going to return to palace, get changed, drop off our stuff & leave
>>33856894>>B. Get the twin dragon twin set>>H. Look at maces
still there som?
>>33856996>YouTried.jpgGlaives fucking suck ya idiot
>>33857032more like a reinforced staff is what i was thinking. something compatible with earthbending techniques. something we can swing around with some real force if we need it, but not something stupid and cartoony
>>33857811I'm thinking ones similar to the 3rd and 5th from the top of this this pic. Also for those unaware Som said on twitter:>Due to sight maintenance making posting impossible for the time being, tonight's update is done. It is archived, and the next update is soon>Like Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday
>>33858250This one as well. Somewhat more ornate like the previous ones, but I like the look of the studs. Thoughts on wood base or iron base?
>>33858250those are way to unwieldy to have any flexibility
>>33858392and?we're an earthbender not a twinkle toes airpusher
>>33858468>we're an earthbenderYes and? We're not built like THE BOULDER! Unless Som comfirms suchOne of the most effective ways to ise a large metal studded club is to be swole
>>33858392seems a good match for the kind of bender Shin is, not saying we can't try something else later but I'm really not interested in flexibility in a weapon
>>33858522Same here. I think a tetsubo seems like an appropriate weapon. I just don't really see Shin using a bladed weapon. If Shin is going to use a weapon other than his bending, it makes sense for it to be a weapon that can be variable (to a degree) in its lethality. Theres not a massive amount you can do to make bladed weapons less lethal.
>>33858664im votving tetsubo as well. just not those lame ass ones. were not JUST an earth bender. were the avatar. flexibility is key almost by definitionand clubs THAT heavy don't have as much flexibility in their lethality as you'd think. id rather not carry around the obvious military death weapons, pls.
>>33858664Blunt weapons will kill your shit almost as hard as bladed weapons
tetsubo a shitplain ass staff a best
hmm thread seems kill
