Welcome to Academy City. The time is night, the weather is electric, and the date is August 29.You are Kyril Torikov, ‘Level 2’ Telekinetic Child Error, and you were leaving. The train that you caught was bound for freedom. After all, where else could you got but out? You don’t think whoever thought themselves your master was going to forgive breaking out of jail. If one Level 4 from ITEM was all they were going to throw at you then this was way too easy. Of course Sparky was also in your way but you had a feeling it wasn’t about you leaving. She had stopped your train easily enough, lashing out with a lance of lightning that knocked the engine out. It took less than a minute for the train to come to a halt, her electromagnetism slowing down the train. Now she was walking towards you. Asuka and Last Order were still unconscious. You didn’t fancy these odds. As good as it felt to be able to tango with a Level 4 Sparky was exponentially more powerful than Kinuhata. She wasn’t happy to see you. The feeling was mutual. You, because she had ran a high voltage electric current through you, and her, well, you were going to find out. She was walking towards you.“Aniki,” her voice was even.“Hey,” you replied.Your face was a mask of cool, your tone the sound of nonchalance.“You know why I’m here,” she continued.“Honestly? I don’t,” you answered. You did have a suspicion though.“You’re not taking her away Aniki.”As you suspected, it was about Last Order.“Think about what you’re doing,” she shouted, “You told me to keep her safe and now you’re running away. I get that but you’re not taking her with you.”>Argue your case (write-in)>Relinquish custody of LO>Attempt to outrun lightning

>>33821178>Argue your caseShe's not safe here. You know where she came from and you know that eventually they'll come back for her. This is the best shot she has at a normal life and you know it.

>>33821178She may be your clone but she's still my responsibility. I'd rather her experience the world than be stuck in that fucked up city
>>33821178>Argue your case (write-in)"I've already had to fight a Level 4 from ITEM to protect her today, how long before they send a Level 5 after her? Can you protect her in this city against that? A city that thinks nothing of our lives and treats us like Lab Rats? That let the Level 6 Shift program run, even when they were losing their facilities left and right? I have to protect my sister, but it can't be done in this place. They used her to threaten me into working for them, to do their dirty work, how long til they'd act on that? I have to get her out of this place."I know the ITEM bit isn't manipulating the truth somewhat, but meh.
>>33821863>>33821328Combo of these two works for me
>>33821178>Relinquish custody of LOI'd like to keep LO, but it's clear that we're in the wrong here.
In the distance you could hear the dull rotation of helicopter blades. You still took the time to argue with Sparky, if only to give the lads more time to clamber out of the train and get a head start.“It’s not safe for her here, not in this city,” you stated, “When they come for her they’ll stop at nothing. This way, at least she can have a normal life.”“A normal life?” she asked, “A normal life on the run with you?”“She’s a target anyway, she’ll be safer with me,” you argued, “Besides she’s my responsibility and you have more than one sister to worry about.”The helicopter arrived, spotlight glaring angrily down on the two of you. Its downwash kicked up hair, dirt and skirt. The pilot was flying low. With a growl Sparky turned to it.“You’re in our way,” her shout overpowered the rotors.Electricity crackled, sparking from her forehead and limbs as she waved her arms. The poor aircraft groaned but was inevitably brought down with a soft crash. Sparky turned back to you, backlit by the sputtering spotlight.“Look me in the eye and tell me she’ll be safer with you,” she said.It wouldn’t be the last helicopter to come after you. Sparky had a point though, demonstrating once again that a Level 5 like her was not to be trifled with.“If you can’t do that then leave her with me,” she continued, “If you won’t then I’m going to take her back.”Sparks once again danced about her crown. You didn’t have time to argue like this, not if you wanted to keep running. Fighting her, a Level 5, was a foregone conclusion.>Send the boys ahead, deal with Sparky yourself>Relinquish custody of Last Order>Write-in

You weren’t going to play her game. You couldn’t, you couldn’t afford to. If you surrendered Last Order then she was going to die, or worse. If you fought, then you were probably going to join her. That was why you looked her right in the eye.“I will keep her safe,” you said. Her glare was heated but you weren’t going to go back on this.“You know this city has another side. They used her to try and get to me. She’s leverage. That’s why I have to protect her, to protect them, even if it kills me,” you continued. She softened a bit and you pounced.“Besides I already fought a Level 4 tonight. What’s one more level anyway?”She turned around with a huff.“Four helicopters, twelve ACPs and I don’t even know how many guns and suits, and that’s only for tonight,” she finally said. That was a lot of hardware.“Well?” she asked, “What are you waiting for? Go.”You didn’t need to be told that twice.“GO! Baka aniki,” she shouted. You turned and ran, catching up with the lads as a beam lanced out in to the dark night. It was followed by a fiery blossom. That was one helicopter out but there were plenty more where that came from. It was probably the most problematic thing you would have to deal with. As long as they were in the air you couldn’t outrun them, you couldn’t escape them. She raised the possibility of success from fucking impossible to near impossible. But it was still not enough. There was still a lot of ground to cover and the forest that the railroad tracks led into wasn’t going to make it easy. Nunotaba was waiting. She was waiting with new identities, a new cover but most importantly, a new life. To be quite honest you’ve never expected to find a forest here. Then again you’ve never really known what lay outside the walls of the city. It was rumoured that there was some flat, farmland up beyond the north-east exit. You wouldn’t know.“They’re here,” Sagara whispered.Even with Tadakuni’s Stealth Step, you were pushing the edge of stealth. There was more than one method to track a man anyway. It didn’t help that Asuka and Last Order were still unconscious. You regret the former though. Asuka would have been really helpful should the fighting start. There was no helping it for the moment as you held her in your arms, Last Order secure in Sagara’s. It was like your own personal horror movie. This meant that you should never split up. It was better to pool resources now, better to hang together than hang separately. Then gunfire lit up the tree line. The wooden bark exploded, showering you in bits of wood as the group had to slow to evade the gun fire. Cover didn’t mean much when the bullet felled a tree in front of you. Still you guys hoof it, running and over and around obstacles. Your Ability and skill served you well here. It was Sagara and Kyousuke who fell behind. The former was encumbered. The latter was out of shape. Only Tadakuni managed to keep up with you but you had an inkling he was holding back.>Pick up Last Order and keep going>Slow down, leave no one behind>Stop to ambush your pursuers>Write-in

You stopped for a step, just to grab LO from Sagara’s hand, letting him drag Kyousuke up with him. Tadakuni caught your sister and with a nod, he kept moving forward as you. While Asuka was heavy in your arms now that you weren’t using your Ability to help hold her, you focused on something else. Not all of the fallen trees and bits of wood were too heavy for you to lift. They certainly weren’t harder to throw a good distance anyway. You had aimed for where the muzzle flashes had come from, hoping to hit one of them. Maybe you didn’t throw them hard enough or maybe they say it coming. Your improvised projectiles didn’t get far, bursting into a shower of splinters. They were shredded by gun fire, gun fire that was closing in on you.Sagara and Kyousuke had just moved past you and now it was time to go. Shifting Asuka a bit, you re-applied your power and go to running again. That delay had cost you no small amount of distance. You took off again. Your legs were starting to burn but you didn’t care. At least your arms hadn’t numbed too much. Dirt and leaves were kicked up by the ever closing gun fire.Eventually it landed. It struck you in the leg, probably somewhere along your right calf. With a little fanfare you stumbled and finally fell forward with Asuka in your arms. The hole in your leg turned that burning sensation in to a searing ball of pain. It was like something was eating away at it. Sagara turned around to help you up, but you knew this was a mistake. If you didn’t stop to return fire, if only you kept running, you wouldn’t have given them the opportunity. You couldn’t let him end here with you if you could help it.>Have him take Asuka>Tell him to run

>>33824853... They barely hit us, and we were upright. I don't think we're going to float her to him slowly or make her dance around like a marionette.Floating her to Sagara means we can focus physically on standing up and he doesn't have to run back for us.Hell, we could even float her along at just-above-the-ground level, if we wanted to.

You met him halfway with Asuka using your Ability. As you were now, you could forget running, let alone standing. Your foot was hanging on by a thread. It was amazing that you were still conscious despite the blood pooling about you. Your heart was hammering in your chest. It wasn’t helping. That was why you gave Asuka over to him.“Take her,” you told him, “Take her and run.”“What about you?”“I’ll catch up,” you replied, “What are you waiting for? They got me because I stopped. Go.”He didn’t need much encouragement, giving you a nod as he took off once more. The gun fire drew close but it wasn’t aimed at you. Still, you weren’t going to give these bastards the satisfaction. You were going to go out fighting. Crawling as quickly as you could, you braced yourself against the tree. You lost feeling in right leg and everything felt so heavy. It was like swimming in syrup. Still, you managed to liberate your hand gun and held it close, waiting. It felt like an eternity, just listening to your heart beat grow slower, your sight growing dimmer. But you forced yourself to remain unconscious until you felt footfalls. Your sight was blurred at this point but you could tell it wasn’t a friend. A powered suit whose front was decorated with a white skull appeared before you. How fitting that it was an image of death, you thought. You raised your gun. It was time.>Retire the runner>Do not go gently

The image of the boy was transmitted back to your camera. His wound was severe. He was already dead. He just didn’t know it yet. You watched dispassionately as he emptied his handgun towards the camera in defiance. He thrashed about, resisted to the very end. It was the death throes of a rabid dog. You had them carry him back. If it were anywhere else but Academy City, your city, he wouldn’t make it. You were going to make sure he did. While you had made promises with his mother that he would be alive and unspoiled, that was before she became the Idol of Lamashtu. To be fair, even you were surprised that she had survived Anubis. Now she was coming back. Hopefully you could fix this before she returned with a vengeance. It was a minor setback all told but it was an annoyance all the same. Right now you were going to have her killed, again. It would slow her down, buy you time. It was all that you could do to get your plans back on track again. After all, her son still had his uses. He was going to wish he was dead when you were done with him. That and you had to manage the Imagine Breaker a bit better. They had ties after all. This was going to be complicated, you just knew. That was alright though. You could do complicated.August 29, 20XX, 22:42:05 local time, an entry was entered in to the database.Kyril Torikov was pronounced dead upon his arrival at the hospital. His body was to be incinerated the following day. His accomplices still remained at large.A Certain Academic City Quest End.
>>33826243>IncineratedFun! That means no proof~
Thank you all for playing. I hope to see all again in a future quest.https://twitter.com/BoredofDirectorQuestions? Comments? I’ll be here all night.
>>33826243>>33826328thanks for running.sequel when?
>>33826243So, are we dead? A cyborg?
>>33826243I still can't believe people thought leaving was a good ideaFuck man
>>33826328catch you next time
>>33826243That's kind of an anticlimax. This doesn't feel like a satisfying ending.
>>33826148This time they have a reason, not only did we throw a big 'fuck you' at the board, we are also fucking with crowleys keikaku. We gave every psychothic motherfucker in AC with enough power to do so, a reason to fuck with anyone we ever liked, even if it is just out of spite.
>>33826328How would the quest have turned out if we had successfully stolen the Robot? How would the quest have turned out if we had chosen to stay in AC rather than break out?
>>33826243Mission accomplished. We inconvenienced Crowley.
>>33826328Thanks for running, was awesome. can't wait till season 2. you planning other quest already or you going to take a break for a bit?
>>33826348LO got out apparently, which is kind of confusing. Also i'm kind of confused as to how the others could have possibly escaped in the situation they were in.Apparently she's not actually important in this Quest though, so meh.>>33826328I enjoyed most of it, though this whole last arc was kind of bad to be honest. I felt like we were getting babied a fair bit because there wasn't any way of any of us logically escaping.
>>33826371I asuume people did this for the lols
Thanks for running, Bored.Interesting setting, characters, story, humor and really enjoyable writing, probably my favourite Quest so far.Thrilled for moar, keep us updated!
>>33826419Did you really think we'd escape?Didya really?
>>33826343After my next quest.>>33826344I wanted to take a piss at Hexer with Season two. A(C^3) anyone?>>33826380If you had stolen the Robot you'd be so rich I wouldn't know what to do with that money. If you'd stayed you'd have replaced GROUP as the go to guy to solve problems on the down low.>>33826405Look forward to something new.>>33826436I could have handled it better, much much better. Alas I was running mostly by the seat of my pants two threads ago.
>>33826243Is it time for Yuriko Quest?
>>33826243And so the ending of the quest was... The main character dying ignobly, and in the process being a minor inconvenience to some faceless demigod who he had never interacted with in any way, with a bunch of plot threads left unresolved.Friendbro, much as I like your writing, you suck at endings. I feel cheated, more than anything.
So uh are we actually dead? Or Do we just appear dead to re-appear in the inevitable sequel?
>>33826525This ending is the result of our actions, however dumb they were.
So, essentially, Wrenloft killed the quest with his 1I know he didn't really, but I feel like that 1 was a really critical point of happening.
>>33826525That's just the setting anon, Bored did the best he could. The series has been going on for 10 years now, and AC has literally only gotten stronger while all the other factions have gotten weaker and had their members depowered and crippled. All three of the protagonists are no closer to solving the main issues of the series than they ever were.
>>33826525>>33826549>If it were anywhere else but Academy City, your city, he wouldn't make it. You were going to make sure he did.Pretty sure Kyril is alive but on record is dead. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, only time and eventually Bored will.also, archived"RIP" Kyril Torikov
>>33826501No, I voted against that. The railroading was the nat1 on robot driving fuckking us over to that extent.
>>33826489>>33826525Have to agree, the ending did feel forced in many ways. Otherwise my opinion stands as above
>>33826512If you want. I can even do it now. It'll be an unplanned mess though.
>>33826549We're probably getting Cyborged like Mugino.
Such a poor ending, I'd rather you do a rewind instead of letting it go like this.
>>33826558No, it's the result of rolling two 1s in a row and then being railroaded into an impossible choice followed by an unwinnable mission.
>>33826633We could have just stayed. Then our friends would be safer, we would have had a chance to break out of the dark side eventually, and we wouldn't be in the Fridge with Kakine.
>>33826618I don't care."Unplanned mess" pretty thoroughly describes Yuriko's situation right now anyway.
I hope you assholes are happy
>>33826633Uh no, If we hadn't tried to escape, we'd still be alive and running dark side shenanigans. But meh tis over. The last Arc does feel week, but I I was more concerned when you kept trying to drag us into the STUDY plot. I know a fair few of us wanted nothing to do with it, but we couldn't seem to escape it.
>>33826646We're alone in the fridge. I don't think Kakine is ballsy enough to attack Accel if he never got braindamaged. If he does, then maybe that means Kyril is gonna end up with a Dark Matter body. Or he'll just wind up as art of Kakine or something...
>>33826344Robocop?ROBOCOP.>>33826243Sorry, sempai, but this needs to happen.>>He thrashed about, resisted to the very end.>Should have either a semicolon or a comma+coordinating conjunction after 'about'.>>It was a minor setback all told but it was an annoyance all the same.>This one kinda goes into some shady/gray areas, but "all told" should be flanked by commas, and "but" should be preceded by a comma. Personally, I use hyphens and parentheses to make sure I avoid those kinds of 'conflicts', but it's not much of a problem to people who aren't consistently better at English than their instructors. >>That and you had to manage the Imagine Breaker a bit better.>Should have a comma after "That," but otherwise that's fine.>>They had ties after all.>Should have a comma after 'ties' and before 'after all'. >>That was alright though.>Should have a comma after 'alright' and before 'though'; alternatively, you could merge it with the following sentence to make something like:>"That was alright, though- you could do complicated."Your phrasing's not the same that I would use, but I seem to have something odd about my writing style, and I like seeing quirks, so I won't even pretend that I don't like the fact that it's noticeable.I'd question your tense usage, but, again, that's almost certainly because of the differences in our respective voices. Other than that, if you don't mind, how many pages of notes did you have? How much of this were you completely prepared for?
>>33826664I voted against this psychotic plan. And now LO is with our friends, who are probably about to get minced into meat if they haven't been already. Or maybe just captured and sent to the Reformatory, which is the best outcome that we can logically expect.
>>33826677>implying Kyril is dead>implying darkside shenanigans isn't the sequel
>>33826664I'm not, I was aginst this as much as you were. I want to go back to before we tried stealing the robot, cause thats where everything went wrong.
>>33826633The choice was not impossible, just unpleasant. We were given the choice to work for the city or escape, and the escape was not unfeasible until people decided to bring more people along.
>>33826618I would prefer it with a little break, maybe gathering some thoughts etc. When you started ACACQ did you think we would make it to thread 57?
>>33826686If we got a dark matter body we'd just become part of Kakine.Plus, it didn't work out so hot for Byouri.
>>33826618I like it now. I enjoyed her interludes quite a bit. Seriously, though, I would love to see an ACACQ: Yuriko. Could be fun.
>>33826633Railroaded is a harsh phrase, but this whole thing does rather reek of massively overinflated consequences and Bored wishing to end the quest. He didn't even ask for rolls when Kyril tried to use his power to delay the attackers, which to me sort of shows that he was already planning for this to be unwinnable.Best of 3d20 is a shit system anyway. Anybody who understands probability can see that it results in wildly fluctuating competence and fucking stupid twists.
In all reality, none of what happened after we got put in jail should count as part of the quest, since the vote to break out was samefagged to all hell. And I'm sure Bored doesn't want it to end like this.
>>33826774Man, there were Powered Suits after us. We can't even trip them because of their A.I. assistance. The fuck was our TK going to do to them?
>>33826774I figured he didn't ask for rolls precisely for those reasons, though.Honestly, I'm surprised you guys made it this far, being criminals and all.
>>33826243Some words about what will happen to Problem Children?
>>33826709I stand by the fact that escaping was always the bad option. It's 'Academy City Quest' after all, if it's not in AC then it's not really the same quest. >>33826774The last part does feel somewhat forced, I mean heck, Bored said that if we fought Misaka we'd have lost an arm, and that kinda shows that there was never any real chance of escape, because the result was predetermined.
>>33826774>planning for this to be unwinnable.Anybody with a basic understanding of AC, common sense, and Even the slightest of Meta knew we was not going to win this at all.Period.
>>33826774We ended up in a situation where we were vastly outgunned. No amount of narrative bullshit or rolls would allow us to win against a powered suit with just a hand gun, TK, and severe bloodloss.
>>33826846Board could say Misaka would chop our arm off because we have no means of preventing her from doing that. Her reflexes and speed are psychotically beyond ours.
>>33826677You know how I was surprised by the choices during interlude picking? Yeah I was surprised here too after you and another voiced out against it.>>33826694A Certain Grumpy Reviewer told me to pick a tense because I was flip flopping between Present and Past in the earlier threads so I decided to pick one.384 pages of archived posts, word doesn't even bother trying to spellcheck that anymore. Current notes doc contains 23 pages. Wasn't prepared for a breakout, but I had plans all the way up to Avignon.>>33826714No I did not, I was lucky to even hit 50.>>33826767I'll see if I can belt out something tonight then.>>33826774It is my first quest and wanted it to be more cinematic. I suppose I'll change dice systems if I'm ever going to use them again.>>33826811They live.
Welp, that was just about the worst possible ending imaginable. Build up all these relationships, especially with Asuka, only for the guy to die. I can't even bring myself to stick around for the supposed season 2. Guess it's time to delete this quest from my bookmarks. Thanks for everything up till now, Bored.
I figure it was more about how Kyril is gonna get inducted into the darkside. Kicking and screaming or quietly and complicitly.
>>33826939This was the path Samefags chose revel in it let it rustle your Jimmies
>>33826939You need to work on your reading comprehension.
>>33826905>>33826854The fact that we didn't act on meta knowledge is a shit reason to kill the main character mid-narrative and close the book.
>>33826919You were surprised we didn't want to be involved in what is universally thought to be the worst part of the entire Raildex universe? I mean you had the sense to not involve us with that stupid plot that comes after big-spider.
>>33826939Did you read Crowley's little speech at all?Anyways, i'm guessing our leg is fucked, so we're probably getting a cyborg leg. Besides that we just suffered blood loss, they can fix that pretty easy.
>>33826984I was all rustled out when the samefagged vote won. There's no reason we should have agreed to breaking out of jail.
>>33826984learn to read
>>33826919You don't take notes by hand to make them easier to consult/more freeform?Huh.I mostly asked about tense because I noticed that, but I was probably reading the archives at that point, and when I archive binge, I make sure to skim non-story posts as much as I can.
>>33826995>The fact that we didn't act on meta knowledge
>>33827032Okay, call me when the Kyril 2.0 appears and season 2 begins. That would be a good thing to do, from a narrative term. It would cancel out most of the awfulness of this ending.
>>33827032Even if Kyril is still alive, he's now stuck inside the city while his friends, adopted sister, and girlfriend are now stuck outside on the run. He may as well be dead.
>>33827036There are a large number of people following this quest. It would not be unusual for them to appear to vote on something that affects the overall direction of the story.Hell look at the twit recorder there's fifty people there alone.
>>33827044I use a cloud, not dead trees.
>>33827101Don't be so pessimistic anon. Our friends were pretty much certainly captured right after we were.
>>33827114I'm fairly certain that the vote was still samefagged to some extent, even if a lot of lurkers came out to vote.
...what just happened?
>>33827101Don't forget the possibly dead mum, never seeing the PC again, Anue, and what other acquaintances and friends like Kaoru. Oh and Sparky Sparky boom girl biri biri
>>33827114I'm not sure about that. At most there seem to be at most 8-10 people voting on stuff in the quest itself. The number voting on that decision was either a lot of lurkers deciding to actively participate for the major decision, or there was some same-fagging. It doesn't really matter though in the end.
>>33826919You did pretty well considering this is your first quest.Maybe a little more leeway with the dice. maybe just switch to a 3d100, add some modifiers or maybe just a flat DC to beat. Care share what the this other quest you got cooking is?
>>33827174Yeah, everybody else he knows are either dead, think he's dead, or want nothing to do with him now.
>>33826919>I'll see if I can belt out something tonight then.Cool beans.
>>33827202It's either Macross, or a Dog Days oneshot. We'll see.
>>33827280Macross would be cool, but would have massive problems with waifuing. But then again that's the nature of the beast.
>>33827280Not familiar with Dog Days. pitch it to me.
>>33827280someone beat ya to the dog days quest. would still follow yours though
>>33827128They're dead whether it's you using them or not!>>33827202I still think that it's probably better to use different dice for different things!>>33827280Is Macross giant robots or something? If someone doesn't start a mech quest before I get into the swing of things after I move, I just might have to fill the void.
>>33827339It's like retarded doggirls in a pseudo-medieval kingdom or something. I couldn't get through the first episode and I managed to slog through most of the raildex LNs, so that should tell you something about the quality.
>>33827339Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, but with animal people and clothes shredding.
>>33827380>Heavy Object QuestJust joking, HO would be awful for a quest.
>>33827280>Dog DaysI would have to finish that tripe off... But I suppose I would do it for you, Bored!
>>33827339>>33827347I was planning to do something a bit different with the setting. The working title is "The Grand Marnier Dynasty," though I'm not very confident with the current quest climate.
>>33827323We kept it to a minimum in ACACQ, but that was easy, considering how Bored introduced us to Asuka so early.
The time is morning, the weather is unpleasant, and the date is August 29.You are Suzushina Yuriko, and you just woke up in Accelerator’s bathroom. Again. It had only been a few days and you didn’t want this to become a habit. The Accelerator, the freakish, overpowered, bloodthirsty monster that he was, hadn’t tried chasing you out. No, he went out as he usually did, ignoring your presence as you followed him. He would find some manner of thug, or thugs would find him, and then he would ‘experiment’ on them. You weren’t sure why he was doing such things, or what he expected out of them. The Accelerator was not something you questioned. It was something you hid behind. Thus you kept your mouth shut.Breakfast, as usual, was a simple affair. All you needed was a rice cooker and a stove. Ingredients didn’t spoil if you used them within the day. It had taken him two days to figure that out. He had two days of instant noodles and black coffee before he realised you woke up before he did. You didn’t make breakfast for him on those days. It was almost funny, to watch him be so utterly confused, bamboozled by the fact that you cooked. Not only did you cook, you often cooked too much. That was where he came in. It was like house-breaking a kitty to be honest. You thought he’d be harder to condition. Now that you had established some kind of rapport with him, you had to proceed with the next phase of your plan. That would be to get him in to a nicer place to live. Your apartment, while small, was not trashed, like his, and had a working refrigerator. The only problem was you didn’t know how to break it to him.>Give it to him straight>Act coy>Write-in
>>33827429What you think there are too many quest right now or something?
>>33827491I think another Dog Days Quest is probably too soon.
>>33827475Hrmmm...What do you think, fellow anons?
>>33827475>Give it to him straightIts fucking Femccelerator quest!
>>33827475>>Give it to him straight
>>33827411If I was gonna do a mech quest, it'd be an original setting. Maybe the setting that book I never finished is set in? That'd make for some interesting stuff, I suppose.... I'll start brainstorming in my spare notebook. It might be a good one to run on those days when I get sick, since I'll be free to be as crazy/murderous as I wish, given vampires are expected to be casually evil and all >>33827475>Give it to him straightAnd by 'straight', I mean, as adorably spaghetti-rific as you deem necessary!
>>33827519You gotta muscle in, lay claim to his empire before it grows to strong! >>33827475>Give it to him straightYour place is dump!
>>33827475>Give it to him straight
>>33827475>Give it to him straightNo reason to edge around it.
>>33827696Dangit, anon. I thought the same thing, but I didn't say it, because I didn't want to be that guy making the joke on everyone's minds.
>>33827732The pun is a noble art form anon, never be ashamed of it.
>>33827763That is one silly looking monster.
>>33827934The Accel manga is hilarious. Everyone is so over the top evil.Even the gore looks hilarious.
If anything you were a straightforward person. You were tired of being the conniving bitch. It wasn’t who you were. You didn’t mind having to stick with him but you needed a change of clothes. While you were at it, you wanted a hot bath, the strength to not need the Accelerator’s protection, world peace and that boy you admired to notice you. Certainly it wasn’t impossible right? Your heart sank. Yeah it was probably too much to ask. Still it was worth asking. If you didn’t then you may never know.“Hey.”Smooth, Yuriko, real smooth.“Huh?”He turned around as he vocalised the question mark. It was that same nasally, “what are you bothering me for trash?” kind of sound.“Come over to my place.”There. You said it. You couldn’t take it back now.“Huh?” he reiterated.Nothing ventured, nothing gained!“Your place is trashed,” you continued fearfully, “Come to my place.”He gave it a thought before turning and continuing on his way.“Whatever.”That day, you didn’t find any trouble on the streets. It only reinforced your desire to return to your apartment. You wanted to go home. Mr. Apathy only took the usual route. He didn’t mix it up too much. Maybe that was why no one was attacking him. He had become predictable. He was easy to avoid. Accelerator didn’t seem to care. Today he picked up another dozen or so cans of black coffee. However, instead of just heading home he stood there. You almost wondered what he was thinking, circling around until your faces met.“Well?” he growled, “Does it look like I know where the fuck you live?”Ah, so that was that. Tonight, you brought the Accelerator home with you.>How much hospitality do you show him?
>>33828361How does one measure hospitality...?Well, I suppose we should treat him like a guest, at least.
>>33828361show him in, give the tour, towels here, hamper there. these are the quiet hours etc.
>>33828361More than a dude who you got drunk with and fought, but less than a family member who is a jerk. Aka couch bed.
>>33828361He can take the couch, but the shower and such will be available for his use. We're distant, not douchebags.
>>33828361Not outright hostility, he gets dinner or something for being the scarethug, but not super buddy buddy friendly either?
>>33828361Cute.>Give him the tour, let him know about any of those odd little quirks apartments sometimes have , and eventually fall asleep watching movies on the couch with your hid on his shoulder.
>>33828361Basics, we're not his friend. Show him the amenities, give him food, and give him a blanket or something.
>>33828486>>Cute.>>>Give him the tour, let him know about any of those odd little quirks apartments sometimes have , and eventually fall asleep watching movies on the couch with your hid on his shoulder.Do this...
>>33828361You want to keep him with you.A little less hospitality than shown to a friend slepping over, but more distanced.
>>33828486>>33828591This. I'm in the mood for some shenanigans.
>>33828361Wold you like a dinner or maybe a bath or maybe ...me
>>33828486>>33828591>>33828660>>33828663Yes... Soon, my maniacal plot to make Bored's new quest absurdly cute and light-hearted will come to fruition.
>>33828361Enough. Show him the bed/couch, lots of blankets.
>>33828703I wouldn't mind cute and light-hearted! I just bet that the sempai here is Touma.
>>33828361Let's not get ahead of ourselves, he's a guest not our boyfriend.>show him to the couch
>>33828703Not yet. You're jumping whole swaths of steps here like the impatient guy who runs through crowds up the escalator.
I wasn't there for the angle fall thread and I almost forgot in all the excitement but who did we body swap with during all that.
>>33829265It's never said. Not particularly important anyways. No one noticed.
>>33829297yeah but I'm just curious
I can not wait till A Certain Academic City Quest 2 where our team meets up with mom and comes rescue us right guys?.... Right? :(
>>33829356Nope. AC has Kyril's ass now. The implanted bomb is mandatory.
>>33827280Dog Days quest seem interesting.
>>33829356I hope so, if only so I can forget this travesty of an ending ever happened.
>>33829356Our team almost certainly got captured right after we did anon.
>>33829356By season 2, I expect us to be completely brain washed, not knowing who we were in the past, working for the city under a different identity and a kill switch if we rebel. Speaking of that, I can't wait till it starts.
>>33829387>>33829440Bomb in the cybernetic leg when?
>>33829427How long are you going to stay mad?We knew this would happen. It never wasn't going to happen. You don't fight the law and win in this city man.
>>33829360That thread suddenly got more entertaining with that imagery
>>33829427I am actually OK with this ending, we still live and will experience a new side of the city, hell now that the city owns our ass maybe will get some power boost from them as they get us to do their dirty work.
>>33829440nah, I see them implanting a bomb in us, black ops suicide missions, no contacting friends in AC, small crampt cell/apartment maybe be ITEM's bitch boy. They wanna know that we know that we are under their heel.place bets on the rescuer Mama Torikov?Touman?Sparky?PC?Some 5th guy/group?
>>33829440They could also use that balloons in the brain method to mess with him.
>>33829510Accelerator and Femcelerator.
>>33829510Touma simply can't. Crowley has people waiting on standby to cripple him and throw him into the same Fridge he threw Kakine into if he ever goes against AC.
Maybe it’s the atmosphere, the familiarity of it all, that got you so relaxed. You wouldn’t otherwise have teased him like so,“So, would you like dinner, a bath, or maybe, me?”He looked at you as if you went insane. Your felt the blood rushing to your face as you quickly darted in to the toilet, grabbing a spare blanket, and running out to throw it over him.“Forget what I said,” you shouted. The thrown bundle of cloth bounced off him and unfurled itself back on top of you.“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh,” you yelled in surprise. You fell backwards on your arse. Escaping the clutches of the damnable blanket was a struggle. The Accelerator then seemingly pulled it off you one handed. You think he was laughing at you. It was hard to tell with that apathetic mask he hid behind most of the time. Slinging the blanket over his shoulder, he took off his shoes and walked inside. You sat there, stunned, among other emotions, in the hallway, before you had the grace to pick yourself up again.Dinner was a quiet affair. The ingredients that you had stocked several days ago were still good. You made some niku jaga. Apparently guys liked niku jaga, but it wasn’t intentional. You just didn’t have other ingredients is all. The Accelerator didn’t comment or anything. He just ate in silence, even when you told him about the shower and the couch, and the TV. However, now that you were in your apartment, you could finally do things that you couldn’t before. Something like,>Watching a movie>Taking a bubble bath>Reading Fowl Gods
>>33829510Personally? I bet on TouMAN and Accelerator teaming up and saving him.

>>33830159Sivan and Asuka's dad IIRC
You were watching a web stream in the bath. The show was related to the fujoshi scene. While you didn’t like to think yourself a rotten girl, you possessed all three volumes of the Fowl Gods series. Your friends had recommended the series. You just didn’t think you’d like it, to ‘that’ extent anyway. There was a reason you installed a bookshelf in your toilet.“So, so, what’s this news we have from Heart-Under-Blade-sensei?” one of the hosts asked.“As you know, Heart-Under-Blade-sensei has declared her trilogy over and that she was moving on to other things,” another explained, “So it was to our surprise when she announced the following this morning.”“No, it couldn’t be,” the first host feigned disbelief.“Yes, that’s right. Fowl Gods is getting an anime adaptation!”There were cheers all around. You tried to keep it down since you had a guest but you couldn’t help yourself really.“We have a trailer too,” and the trailer played. While you didn’t watch that many anime, you think they could have gotten a better studio. You’ve never heard of Natural High before. After all, you wanted the story to be done justice. It had to be animated properly, especially when-There was a knock on the door. The silhouette was none other than your guest’s.“Oi you done?”Way to kill the mood asshole. You had half a mind to go out there and smack his gob. The other half just sighed and grabbed a towel. He was sitting on the throne, volume one of Fowl Gods in hand when you stepped out. He turned to you, completely disinterested in your body. His face was confused as he uttered the following non-sequitur.“I was beaten by a faggot?”>Your response?
>>33830608"u wot m8?"
>>33830608Uh.Does she know he's not a faggot?
>>33830608In as deadpan and sarcastic a voice as possible:> Something wrong with that? Everybody knows all the power in the world is nothing next to love!
>>33830608"W-What are you talking about?"
>>33830608"You can be beaten?!?!?!"
>>33830608>Don't you talk shit about my husbando
>Kyril's largest impact on the setting was unleashing Fowl Gods upon it.
>>33830647>"u wot m8?"Damnit, that was my first thought too. I also vote for it.
>>33830732We also got LO and a few other espers out of the city, that has to count for something right?
>>33830608YOU KNOW THE MESSIAH?!
>>33830608>Was your face the only thing that hurt when you woke up?
>>33830647Support for some measure of consensus
“What?”It was a flat “what”, the kind that demonstrated a lack of comprehension. That was why he repeated the question.“I was beaten by a faggot.”This time it wasn’t a question. You understood why he’d be confused. In his hands was the first volume of Fowl Gods. It wasn’t a later reprinted edition with the disclaimer, “All resemblances, fictional or otherwise, is pure coincidence,” on it. Heart-Under-Blade-sensei had added the disclaimer due to the people who she had drawn inspiration complaining. Or that was what the magazines, blogs and news sites reported. There was no way those two people existed for real. That one of them was someone who beat the Accelerator was just ludicrous. Your hand reached out slowly for his shoulder as you leaned forward. Then you let out the most derisive chortle that you could. That was rich. Who knew the Accelerator had a twisted sense of humour?“Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.”Oh God you couldn’t breathe. You had to get out before you lose your towel and your modesty. Laughing was something you hadn’t done in a long time. It was almost painful as you left him sulking mightily on the throne. You didn’t stop laughing as you changed. Tears streaked your face as you continued, hugging your comforter. You don’t know when, but you definitely fell asleep. You awoke to a bright new day. It was sunny, and warm. You moved out of the bedroom. The couch sat a folded blanket. Accelerator was nowhere to be seen, even as you finished breakfast. Where was he? Worriedly, you wandered your small apartment. He was gone. Where’d he go?>Panic>Go look for him>Remain calm>Write-in
>>33831460>>Write-inCall him. What are you doin?We can't go out for bullies.
>>33831460It looks like Fowl Gods ruined everything again.
>>33831460>Remain calmHe's probably out fucking up some thugs or doing whatever he does during the day, no reason he wouldn't be back later. Just keep a clear head and wait for him to get back.
>>33831460>Go look for him
>>33831460>>Go look for himCheck the bathroom, then check the convenience store.Duh.Also, I love that my write-in won.
>>33831460>Remain calmHe's not a puppy, he can look after himself. I'm sure when he gets hungry he'll make his way over here anyway.
>>33831702Or he'll buy more ramen and coffee and go back to the trash room
>>33831721Nah man, once you get some good food going back to the shitty stuff is a serious pain in the ass, especially when there's more of it readily available.
Not only am I late, but it's over now?Fuck!
>>33831960There's always Esper Quest. We don't have to worry about Dark Side stuff there because none of the characters are smart enough to realize what they're doing.
>>33831960cheer up, there'll be sequel down the road.
>>33831960We femcellerator quest now
>>33832043>none of the characters are smart enough to realize what they're doing.I had a legitimate chuckle at that.
>>33827222Now we are getting into true DARKNESS!
>>33832043Esper quest is fun, but maybe a little bit too goofy to really scratch my itch.one day we'll do something other than fight/schmooze with cosplayers...maybe
>>33832166I really liked the original idea of a crazy Pyro esper who hates Magicians working for AC.Sadly that never happened, but goofy stuff can be fun too.
>>33832166Plot comes soon enough, anon.>>33832193To be fair, she is rather crazy now, and she doesn't know what magic is.She doesn't like magic shows, though, if that helps.
>>33832166Well, there's probably a bit of time between now and Season 2, so if someone really wants to make another quest, now would be the perfect timing. I toyed around with the thought myself, but then I realized that I'm stupid and lazy, so I abandoned it before I even started.
http://pastebin.com/atq6jxEiMy heart is warm.
>>33832233(I'm guessing you're EsperQM)Is the crazy power leveling going to slow down as the plot picks up? It was kind of jarring going from high level 3 to mid level 4 all of a sudden. I understand the whole Innocentius thing happened, but still.I rather liked the format of this quest, where it took us a long time to get from level 2 to just barely level 3.It's your quest though, i'll probably still enjoy it either way.
(Posting for Bored, http://pastebin.com/atq6jxEi)You checked the bathroom again. He wasn’t in there. You checked your closet. He wasn’t in there either. Where was he? The question ran through your mind as you did another tour of your apartment. You sat down on your couch. What if he left? You didn’t want to think about it. What if he didn’t come back? That was even worse to contemplate. Your gaze fell on the door that led outside. Outside, you didn’t want to go outside, not if you had to suffer that kind of abuse again. No. Not outside. You’re not going outside. Not again. Not without protection. Not without him. No, you had to remain calm. He’ll be back. Keep telling yourself that. It’ll be alright. You still had friends. You still had people you could rely on right? Wrong. Wrong. WRONG. You had no one. You only had him. Because he was the biggest. Because he was the baddest. Because he was the monster no one else dared approach. You wanted him. You needed him. Please, come back. You sat there. You sat in your apartment. Curled up, knees tucked, holding yourself together. The sun was setting. “He’ll be back,” you muttered, “He’ll be back." If you repeated enough he’ll come back. Right? The food had gone cold. There was a knock on the door. Your head snapped towards it. There was another knock. You dared not get it. It was him. It had to be him. But you didn’t want to get your hopes up. You didn’t want to destroy the illusion. With a click, the door flew open. He was back. Interlude end. It’s all I have for tonight chaps.
>>33826243Cyborg Kyril time.
>>33832406I think we're just getting a robo leg
G'night, Bored.I hope A Certain Level 0 Albino Girl becomes a regular thing.
>>33832350Yeah, hopefully the plot will level everything off a bit more normal. You'll be able to practice with and try to improve your abilities, but you'll not be levelling to 5 anytime soon, at least as far as I can tell. Also, as has been said, my quest's a lot goofier than this one. Even the plot is going to be silly.
>>33832406>>33832417Maybe we'll meet Silvercross Alpha.Because, you know, he's such a nice guy.
>>33832455And that's ok, after all the grimdark here I for one enjoy the lighthearted adventures of Akari and co. Nothing wrong with some goofy fun!
>>33832405>He was back.
Bored says that if you have any questions ask here http://ask.fm/BoredofDirectors
>>33832417I'm not even sure what the hell is going to go on now to be honest. This is a situation where Aleister wants to keep him around due to Touma and the likes. Now the real question is if Asuka and them know to meet with teacher and how fast Kyril can use the new factors to his advantage.
>>33832506this quest had plenty of goofy fun tomuch (most?) of it related to the /y/atch.am I the only one disappointed there wasn't ever a /u/-boat version?
>>33832596ask.fm is awesome, I want to invest in it.
>>33832617Still a question if Asuka and the rest actually got away. They were kind of in a fucked situation.
>>33832620I hope someone manes a /u/ story with every female character except Kuroko. Kuroko is the only one left out because reasons and it drives her insane.
>>33832639They did, or atleast they are alive, Bored confirmed it.
>>33832659Alive can also mean "captured".They prefer to take high levels alive when they can.
>>33832656what? no, clearly, it needs to be KurokoxKyouko the ideas!
>>33832656>Not Kuroko being the focus of a lesbian harem she doesn't want, whilst continually being ignored by her waifuIt's like you don't even understand suffering, anon.
>>33832738>KurokoThere are many forms of love suffering.
>>33832639I'm pretty sure they did. They might not have but I think Kyrils death charge may have tipped things over a bit. Either way though I do find it interesting that Kyril is now listed as dead.Technically now if he somehow gets enough freedom he could pretty much do any robbery with no real chances of him being caught. Because dead man walking.
>>33832639>His accomplices still remained at large.sounds like it
