Kog’gul administrative assistant #137 was NOT having a good day. First, his dens broodmother had heard he had visited a Males In Power meeting and had abused him for hours before letting him leave for work. His supervisors, also female, had punished him for being hours late by forcing him to sit in the dank, dark sewer security checkpoint alone. The checkpoint was just a tiny closet with video screens streaming from one or two cameras in the sewers, it was judged one of the most boring and menial jobs in Kog’gul reserved only for the worst scum of the fortress. If that wasn’t bad enough, the normally unfit #137 was now sprinting as though the Twin Queens themselves had come to kill him. He was running straight for Rakka’tars personal quarters, the fear of what he saw coming through the sewers had blanked his mind of everything besides the need to warn the General and so he ran, past amused Lancers and shocked clerks, the small, chubby #137 didn’t even pause for breath because he alone knew. The Tenno were coming.
He had paused long enough upon seeing them to witness how easily they carved through that ridiculously large horde of SewerDemons and now he knew they were coming for the rest of them. That was the only feasible reason the Tenno would ever think of visiting Kog’gul, they had come to destroy it, raze it to the ground and scatter the ashes through The Void. The normally fretful and apologetic #137 bowled a Lancer over in his haste and didn’t even stop to apologize! His entire being was focused getting the General and soon enough he burst into Rakka’tar’s quarter’s antechamber and was about to continue in when he was halted by an authoritative, angry voice.“STOP!” she shouted. #137 turned, panting and whining as he tried to motion towards the door but when he saw who was there he knew he was acting in vain. It was one of the supervisors that had punished him earlier today, no doubt she was acting as Rakka’tars personal assistant for the day and she was bearing down on him like an ugly, heavily armoured tank with sagging sides.“#137!” She screeched directly in to his ears. “What in the name of Sol do you think you’re doing!?” Thrusting her face into his own, #137 got a front seat view to her warty, leathery face as she cried like a banshee at him. “Get your pathetic self back to the sewers where you belong!” When #137 tried to interrupt with a “But!” she back handed him and continued her infernal racket. “No buts! Do as you are told or I will tell your dens broodmother how unco-operative you’ve been! Really, I have no idea why Shaina even lets you stay there anymore, first you start talking back to her, then you go to one of those stupidly pathetic MIP meetings and now this!? You think Rakka’tar wants to talk personally to a pathetic lump of lard like administrativeassistant#137!?!” She paused only a moment for breath and launched back in to her tirade before #137 could speak up.
>>33687257 “Besides… Rakka’tar has, company.” As she said this, her face darkened, brows knitting together in a thundercloud of anger as she looked past #137 to Rakka’tars office. Abruptly she realized #137 was still there and, whats more, was daring to draw breath to argue! Her eyes blazed as she drew a thundering breath to begin screaming at him when the back of #137’s hand connected with her cheek. The blow surprised her so much that she fell backwards onto her saggy rump, looking up at #137 in shock, rubbing her cheek. A mix of emotions went through her, leaving her confused as she looked up at #137. #137, shocked as he was at his own actions, rubbed his hand and squeaked a single word before whirling to enter Rakka’tars office, given new resolve by his assault on the supervisors. The word he said left the supervisor shaking slightly on the floor. ‘Tenno!’ was enough to inspire terror in even the strongest of Grineer. She jumped when the door to Rakka’tars office banged shut behind #137 and instantly began to scamper away. For some reason that pudgy little idiot hadn’t tripped the alarm yet, if she moved fast she would be able to get out of Kog’gul before the Tenno let loose. Smiling in grim amusement, she remembers Rakka’tars current ‘guests’, #137 was in for a shock if he thought Rakka’tar would be in a good mood.************
>>33687280Pushing open the door, #137 rushed straight in, allowing the door to slam shut on its own. The sudden *bang* of the door shutting closed alerted the occupants and as one they turned to inspect the newcomers. #137 had a few seconds to register that Rakka’tar did indeed have guests before he started forward squeaking “Rakkatar! Rakka’tar! General Rakka’tar sir!” #137 was about to continue when he stopped dead in his tracks, throat constricting in terror as the identities of the ‘guests’ sunk in. Staring directly in to the ghostly deaths-head mask of the black armoured figure before him, #137 felt his heart stop from the fear. The soulless gaze directed at him was one a demon would give a bothersome fly. Five of them, five of the infamous Thunderlancers. Some of the most undoubtedly powerful warriors in The Grineer Empire, standing before him.And he had interrupted them.
>>33687311Before he could even THINK of apologizing, Rakka’tar was on him in an instant, red faced and panting as though he had run a mile and #137 certainly knew the reason. He was under the gaze of the Thunderlancers for only a moment and he felt as though he had been stretched, twisted and hung to dry.“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!” Rakka’tar roared at #137, causing him to cower on the ground as though fearful of being struck. “WHY HAVE YOU DARED TO ENTER MY OFFICE?! WHERE IS MY P.A.? WHY DID SHE LET YOU IN?” He was going to continue when a dark chuckle interrupted him. He turned slowly to look at the imposing squad of Thunderlancers, the deathly silence permeating the room seemed to make their deaths-head helmets glow.“Rakka’tar…” The voice comes from the group, it is unclear which one speaks, like soft velvet drenched in blood, it continues “You run a… lax, establishment we see. Regardless, our demands must be met. You WILL cease your assaults on the Corpus, it goes against what HE wishes. Do you understand, heh, ‘General’?” Rakka’tar twitches slightly like a cornered animal being chased down by a pack of hunting dogs before replying in a flustered tone.“He…He has no power here!” Realizing that #137 was watching, he wanted no rumours floating around Kog’gul that he was scared of the Thunderlancers, he had spent a pretty penny building an image of a warmonger and it simply wouldn’t do for anyone to find out the truth of who he is. “I serve the Twin Queens not some jackanapes thugs!” Rakka’tar shook his fist at the Thunderlancers but realized immediately he had overstepped. The slightest of stirrings went through the Thunderlancers and the eyesockets in their helmets began to glow a faint red. The effect was terrifying and to prevent himself from showing his fear he whirled to his subordinate to take out his stress.
>>33687343“YOU! SCUM! WHY ARE YOU HERE?! COME ON, OUT WITH IT BEFORE I HAVE YOU SENT TO THE SEWERS TO FIGHT THE SEWERDEMONS” Smiling grimly at #137 moan of terror, Rakka’tar was feeling slightly better about the situation. That was until the assistant opened his mouth with a low whine.“Anywhere but there great Genera! Please! Not there! T…Tenno! In the sewers!” #137 was practically mewling in the fetal position by the time he had finished, exhausted and mission completed. He had warned the general finally and the severity of the situation caught up to him, he had slapped his supervisor, interrupted and undoubtedly insulted a squad of Thunderlancers and had earned the ire of his general. All of these facts coalesced into a mental fist that caused #137 to faint. As he collapsed, one of the Thunderlancers began laughing, a coarse, loud laugh with a hint of insanity and sadism in it. The lead Thunderlancer doubled over and continued his laughter until suddenly he snapped back into the posture the rest of his team had adopted. “Rakka’tar,” he all but purred. “It looks like the Tenno will deal with you for us. After all, you can’t expect us to help you when you refuse to help us.” The smile in his voice is evident and Rakka’tar knew he was caught, the hunting dogs had him by the throat and there was little he could do besides go out as best he can.“Fine, you help me, I help you.” He said, as though speaking to an equal. The Thunderlancer leader cocked his head and the hint of sadism returned to his voice when he replied.“What?” He whispered menacingly. “That’s not how you ask for help Rakka’tar.”
>>33687369Gulping, Rakka’tar bowed his head. “Help me. Please. I will do as you ask in return.” Each word seemed to be dragged out of him against its will but it wasn’t enough for the Thunderlancer. Chuckling darkly once again he said as such.“Not good enough Rakka’tar, friend simply not good enough! We came all this way and you simply insulted us from the beginning! Frankly you’re a pain and I feel we should let these Tenno do away with you regardless.” That said, the Thunderlancers began to move as one to the door. Rakka’tar, panicking, called out to them.“No! Wait! Please! Don’t go! I’ll do anything!” Abandoning decorum he rushed to the leader as he said this. Stopping, the leader turned back around and this time the sadist was out full force.“Beg.” He whispered, extending one of his feet forward.“W-what?” Rakka’tar asked.“I said, beg.” Came the reply, the extended foot waggling back and forth.“I-im not going to beg! I am a General!” Rakka’tar protested.“A pathetic General given a posting to Kog’gul because of mommies connections in High Command. Looks like you’ve never been taught how to beg for a favour from your betters. Heres a hint, you fall to your knees, kiss their feet and cry for their favour.”“Y-you can’t talk to me like this!”“Would you rather I let the Tenno have you? Or I could shoot you here if you prefer.” That said, he began reaching for his pistol and immediately the cowardly general fell to his knees, crying ‘No!’.A short cringe inducing moment later and the Generals dignity has been entirely revoked.
>>33687397With a sharp head gesture from the leader three of the other Thunderlancers explode into action, eyes sockets blazing red as they hurtle out of the door, power armour whining and assault rifles at the ready.“W-w-where are they going?” Rakka’tar stuttered, slowly climbing to his feet, nerves wracked by what he had to do to get their help and by the knowledge of Tenno coming to kill him.“Have you ever fought Tenno before ‘General’? They go for the heart, always precise and efficient, tearing it out as quickly as they can and leave like shadows at noon. Here, in Kog’gul, that heart is the reactor and you. Of course they need a way out, meaning your transport bays. Of the three that left, two are going to the reactor, one to the transport.” The leader sounded as though he had not a care in the world and was actually rather bored. He turned suddenly, the dark sickly red glow returning to his helms eyes.“And that leaves us three here. Isn’t that just…wonderful?” He said, stalking slowly towards the general.“And aren’t we going to have such…….FUN?” With a hiss and a click, the mask came off…And the screaming began.**********
>>33687431You and Naglfar stride purposefully through the corridors of Kog’gul, you had paused briefly before to get your bearings on a wall-map and map the path to Rakka’tars quarters. The two of you know that stealth is a priority and move with a light-step, ready to melt in to the surrounding mess of piping, barrels and crates strewn throughout all of Kog’gul. Though militant, it seems the Grineer lack discipline when it comes to keeping things ordered and neat. You haven’t seen anyone for a little while now and you know are getting closer to Rakka’tars quarters. As this thought crosses your mind you turn a corner and are immediately knocked backwards by someone hurtling through the hallway at top speed. >>33688824You roll into a well concealed spot and soon enough a three man squad of Grineer lancers in black armour hurtle past you. The urgency of their pace implies a state of alarm that worries you a little, perhaps the Grineer DO know something is wrong. You say as much to Naglfar but he shrugs. It doesnt change anything, Rakka'tar needs to die and you two are the ones to do it. The both of you set off in the directions of Rakka'tars quarters, the direction that the trio of lancers came from, when you are both halted by a noise.Distant screaming, coming from Rakka'tars quarters. Nonplussed, you and Naglfar share a glance before setting off at a steady trot. You arrive at the slightly ajar door and peek in. You see four figures, one standing guard, one unconscious on the ground. Two are off to one side, another black armoured Lancer, the back of its head scarred and disfigured and kneeling on the ground crying and begging, Rakka'tar. You recognise him by the Generals stripes that Naglfar described for you and you switch places with Naglfar so he can get a view of the situation. You sit, mind racing, as you contemplate how to assault the room.>Naglfar goes for the guard, you go after Rakkatar and the other lancer.>You go for the Guard, Naglfar goes for Rakkatar>Try to sneak in.Roll d100

>>33689541>>33689569>>33689598You realize that the soldiers are a great threat if they can make a general sink to his knees and beg. Sneaking in and striking with swift precision seems the optimal solution. You relay as much to Naglfar and he agrees, after a second of grumbling that he could take Rakka'tar instead and the both of you ready yourselves.Soon enough, an opportunity presents itself. A sudden, agonised scream echoes throughout the chamber from Rakkatar and the guard turns around with interest to view what is happening. That is your moment to enter and you swing yourself up to the roofing via the door, grabbing one of the many handholds from the piping above. Thank goodness for Grineer building ethics.Naglfar is waiting outside the room for the opportune moment to strike as you inch closer and closer above Rakka'tar and the lancer. A deep, dark chuckle comes from the black-armoured lancer as he says"Thats enough Rakka'tar, I've had my fun." The helmet goes back on with a click and hiss and the deaths-head mask glows with an unearthly hue as Rakka'tar cringes away.Snorting in disgust, the lancer kicked Rakka'tar with enough force that it launched him away, skidding on the floor. As he came to a halt, staring up at the roof, he was at just the perfect angle to see a sneaky Tenno in the piping. With a shaking hand, gasping for breath, he points at you, a terrified wheezing escaping from his lungs.Glancing around rapidly you see that the guard is still watching the door but the lancer has cocked his head at Rakka'tar and is slowly looking up. The walling all around you is shredded by the unending hail of deadly metal until finally you hear a click and you stop hurling yourself around the room. To your surprise the lancer had been approaching you during the firestorm and he was almost on you.You tear the Magnus Ashara was kind enough to lend you out of its hip holster and prepare to fire. You steady your aim and centre it on the approaching deathshead helmet, right between the eyes. Before you squeeze the trigger you know immediately that its a good shot, that it would kill the lancer easily, no small helmet was capable of stopping the terrible power of the modified Magnus.Smiling to yourself, you squeeze the trigger and you feel the familiar recoil shudder through your frame, the weapon sounds like a god slamming its car door closed and the bullet explodes out of the barrel.Moving faster then thought, the lancers hand darts out and smacks the bullet in mid air, causing it to explode. Before you follow up you have to hurl yourself into a backwards flip to dodge the energy sword before it slices into your chest. Shaking his hand, the lancer drops the now useless lump of metal that was his smg. It seems he used the gun to soften the blow of the bullet but a simple lancer shouldn't be capable of moving as fast as he was. Briefly, you spare a second to wonder how Naglfar is doing in his own fight as you can hear the sounds of battle to the side. Yet you know you cannot look around, breaking vision with this... creature in front of you would most assuredly mean death.Droplets of blood drip from the lancers hand as he holds up lazily to his face to inspect the damage, the hand is lacerated but not too badly damaged. A mirthful grunt later and suddenly the lancer goes from a standing start to a dead run towards you. You have a split second to react and you fire the magnus at the onrushing monster. He turns into the rush and takes the brunt of the bullets impact on his shoulder, the exploding shell leaves wisks of smoke unfurling around him as he barrels into you.His already shredded shoulder connects heavily with you and knocks you flying, you lose your grip on the magnus but manage to somehow hold on to Anima. Rolling to your feet, you stand at the ready, blade extended before you in a classic duelling stance. Before you, the lancer stands on slightly unsteady feet, blood drips from his shoulder and hand, the energy sword hisses and crackles as the occasional droplet touches the blade."You fight well, Tenno. Though it ends here." He says, drawing out a thin blade. You aren't sure how a tiny thing like that is supposed to help him when all of a sudden he slams it into his own chest. Your two handed stroke with Anima, he blocks it with one hand on the hilt and another cushioning the sword. You stare at each other, you in shock, he in mild amusement. He cocks his head at you and you get a good look at the burning fire of his yes. You notice barely imperceptible shifts in his body and jerk backwards, just in time to dodge the lightning uppercut he sends hammering at you. The strike only lightly grazes your chin but you can feel it, such power! If that had connected squarely who knows how much damage it could have done."You move well... Mortal." The sinister whisper comes. The burning hate in his eyes doesn't lessen a moment as he slowly reaches over to the energy swords hilt, there he unwraps a piece of cloth and hooks it to his wrist. You have no idea what this signifies until his arm snaps forward, launching the blade at you. Your Tenno reflexes prevent you from being skewered but before you could even think about following up, the blade has returned to the lancer. He twirls it around in a humming circle of death, the blue sheen of the blade leaving beautiful contrails in the air as he slowly approaches you, head still slightly cocked."Allow me to show you....how the Dark Ones fight."Rolld100

Its not like Fate likes you or anything, b-baka.You take a risk and leap backwards, out of the range of the spinning blade and hope against hope that the lancer takes the bait and hurls the blade at you again like he did the first time around. This time you will be ready for it.With a twist and a jerk, the lancer snags the blade out of the air and swings it behind him, laughing"Running? I expected MORE" he roars as he hurls the blade, aiming for your heart. You smile widely as you glide out of its path, Anima coming up to part the cloth with a sinuous movement. The lancer pulls back on the cloth only to stagger slightly at the lack of resistance, he looks up in surprise to see the blade embedded in the wall, the cloth cut to piece. You stand there, Anima resting on your shoulder as you stare him down. Shockingly, he doesn't seem fazed by this apparent turn of the tables and in fact starts to approach you, completely at ease!"A wonderful movement. You are finally meeting my expectations Tenno. I had not thought to meet you again after all this time." He says. You stare at him dumbly, what is he saying?"You still have that awful habit of GETTING DISTRACTED" he roars as he rushes forward again. You are shocked, he's full of openings and you frown in distaste as you plunge Anima into his gut. Surprisingly, he does not stop. He RUNS onto the blade until he has pierced himself with her entire length. He picks you up as he runs, the eyes on his helm still ablaze and slams you into the wall. His grip is like steel and you look up at him as he leans closer to you to whisper."Tenno....? Know pain." >>33691939To your surprise and no small amount of horror, their is no pain, just a numb feeling spreading throughout your body. You stare at the blade as the lancer slides off you to lie on the ground, limp and lifeless.Time seems to slow as the numbness spreads but your world sharpens immediately when you notice something that fills you with dread. The blade is sinking deeper into you.Your hand closes around you the hilt and you nearly black out from the agony that touching it brings. Tendrils of red mist explode out of the blade and latch onto your body, it looks as though it is trying drag itself deeper into your flesh. A faint niggling, a whisper on the edge of your subconscious taunts you and your inability to remove it. You struggle weakly against the blade but it is a vain attempt, the blade sinks deeper and the voice gets louder. Its the voice of the lancer."Hello Tenno" It whispers through your mind, a voice on the wind. "Your mind is so.....empty. Where once a thousand thousand memories lived there sits only darkness. Do you remember the last time you and I...ah hah... Communed like this? The Battle of Shi'Ai was it not?You refused to submit then, even as our armies smote yours to ruin. What will you do now, I wonder?" As the voice grows louder, it feels as though there is a presence in your mind, a heavy weight trying to bend your will. "Let me show you, what you have forgotten." It whispers. And you know pain, unending pain as vivid memory after memory assails you. Failure after failure cut at you, the death of loved ones and friends magnified a thousandfold, there was no hope, no hope ever. The only choice left was to submit. To finally succumb after centuries of fighting. A tiny part of you, jumping up and down, demanding to be heard, screams at you to fight, to stand tall in the darkness and refuse to be moved yet it goes mostly unheard as the worst memory is presented before you.
>>33692277You sink to your knees as the Funereal passage unfolds before you, she was a part of you, a part of the Tenno themself and she was gone. Gone because of you, a death you could have prevented if you had simply submitted, succumbed to the outside force. Your stubbornness caused her death. It was all your fault. The realization smites you like a vengeful god and you feel your will buckle, you feel your hand loosen its hold on the blades hilt and you subconsciously register that blade sinking deep into your flesh. The pain fades, your vision fades, everything fades except for the comforting numbness. You stare fixatedly into the darkness, the funereal memory echoing through your mind. "Good..." The sinister voice slithers in the darkness, a velvet caress on your tarnished soul. Your hand, scrabbling in the darkness, closes around a familiar hilt. Anima, it pulses with power at your touch, you can feel an unspeakable rage flowing from the weapon. "Very good.....finally you and I ca-" it cuts off suddenly as a golden light blooms in the darkness.A feminine voice, crackling with power explodes from the golden light."BEGONE CREATURE!" It screams and you feel the mental power being exerted, it is on par with a young god. Time stops and you are alone with the golden orb of light. You look up, tears streaming down your face.It is her.You reach up to touch her, her name coming to your lips when, shockingly, she steps in and backhands you. You taste blood and look up at the angered apparition."YOU LOSE A FEW MEMORIES AND THIS IS WHAT BECOMES OF YOU? STAND UP DAMN YOU. FIGHT. FIGHT SO YOU CAN SEEK ME LATER." And with that, the light vanishes and the darkness returns, apprehensive and hesitant. One hand closed around Anima, humming with power, the other rips around to the blade stuck in your gut, it is now buried to the hilt, your frame and the skin beneath blackened and smoking.
>>33692454With a scream of torturous pain, your tear the blade out of your flesh. The darkness flees but not before the sinister whisper returns. "One day....You WILL be mine."Agonizingly slow, your senses return. You look down at the wound and see to your horror that the blackened flesh and frame was still smoking. You won't be fighting at your best, at least for a little while now. You stand, just in time to see Naglfar staggering towards you, blood seeping from wounds all over his frame. His helmet was half destroyed, revealing a single piercing green eye with flame coloured hair. Protruding from his back was a shattered blade, and his Strun was rent in two. You lean against the wall as he stumbles over to you, where he does the same. The two of you survey the scene, the room is a cacophany of carnage, the signs of battle everywhere. Supporting each other, you move to the door. Too tired to speak. You spare a single glance for the Thunderlancer that Naglfar was fighting and notice that there was no black blade nor any hole in the lancers chest. You also notice that the unarmed and unarmoured Grineer that was unconscious on the floor is still there. You are far too exhausted to finish him off and just keep on moving for the exit with Naglfar. You get outside and both of you slump against the door. The mission is not yet over, you both know that but right now, you've each earned a rest.

Rolled 55>>33692603seems things are going alright so far, but since it was a fair while between sessions, think its possible for you to get something to say when you are starting up a thread? that way it makes getting more people to join in a little more easier. Also, to help break up your posts from the others, maybe having some appropriate pictures to post with yours?
>>33692712I drew a few things but my computers scanner isn't working and Im bawls at using photoshop and its ilk.I'll make a couple requests in a drawthread and i'll see about making a twitter account.
