After lunch with Brass, we had a short meeting at the office so he could give Ned signing power to buy land for him.Aritsu pours small liquor glasses to both men to enjoy as an after meal drink, and went back to work while they did their own thing.A bit later...Aritsu: "A ranch, uh? I guess that goes very well with mister Wolfside's personality. But from what I understand, miss Morgan takes care of her on her own, staying there all the time, right? We should probably see about hiring some staff for mister Wolfside's"Ned: "Oh... you are right. And I suspect Mai wouldn't know what sort of people are needed. She does everything herself, and... I have no idea what that everything is, at all."***Want to look for the land or the ranch staff first?
>>33603263Lets go with ranch first. That would detirmine the type of staff we need.
>>33603281Good idea. After all, they'll have to be able to get to the location of the ranch anyway.
>>33603263Look for the ranch first.
>>33603356Alright, roll business with 11d10. I dont think either of our specialties apply for this.Brass is a world-class super star, so money is probably not a problem. Depending on how good you roll, I'll offer different land lots.

>>33603521well, even without rolling exploding dice, that is pretty fucking awesome. You get three excellent parcels of lands. They are on different areas, so you cant choose more than one, however. A vast terrain that used to be a high class resort but was abandoned. The vegetation has reclaimed almost all of the buildings, but surely a gifted gardener could work with the high class buildings through which plants and young trees now grow. The land is vast, and has excellent roads built between it and the city. It will take a bit of work to clean the now dead mechanical attractions, but you are quite sure Brass wouldn't even blink at the thought of "working" on his new land. The main building was meant to be a hotel, and is mostly intact. A track of land about as large as Mai's. It is wild and undeveloped, but has natural springs and a plateau made by a massive rock on its southern side. Most The land is, as well, full of massive rocks under the surface, thus it was deemed excessively bad terrain to farm or built into since the rocks are not solid enough to use as foundations, nor soft enough to easily take apart. A extra large, extra haunted old farm. A piece of terrain that looks as if it came from a historical scenario, blood has been spilled, according to police reports, and noone wants the land which is said to be extra haunted. But the terrain looks excellent no matter how you look at it. Good land, with rock solid foundations deep enough as not to interfere with farming, but excellent to build on top of.

Oh, I found this old version of Ned's character sheet, with notes that we grabbed Mega Appearance as well, are you sure we're using the right one
>>33603734This is me BTW

>>33603734>>33603747And I forget it both time, wonderful.
>>33603734>>33603753Alright, it has a medium-sized high-class hotel in the middle, which could easily be remodeled into a manor. Steam baths, jacuzzi, inner pool, all the luxuries. The plants have invaded the inside and ruined all the furniture, of course, but since Brass isin't trying to open a hotel, he would probably need all new furniture anyway.I doubt he would have a use for the front desk, for example. The underground parking lot is flooded, but recoverable. The grounds are full of rusted, collapsed attractions, and there's even a single subway car since there were plans to make a private line between the city and the resort. There are even unfinished train lines. The land is quite ample, so you could probably have horses or cattle if Brass felt like it, once it is cleared, of course.Aritsu: "That seems nice. Should I ask mister Wolfside if he wants to do some animal husbandry, or is planning on a natural preservation around the main building? He did give you signing power, so I suposse you could decide on your own and just surprise him"***Elf slave wh--- I mean... Huge tracts of land, what do?
>>33603788Ned's gotten two point on mega int, tho. Want to update it?
>>33603822Best ask Brass what his plans are for his new land.
>>33603832Sure, I'll get it updated after my work today. I had forgotten how nasty Ned gets when he pulls out all the stops. 13d10 + 6 auto-successes is just brutal for diplomacy
>>33603851You call Brass, and find out that he's at General Motors right now, talking about a new ad they want him to film.Brass: "Ah, both seem like good ideas, but if we will need to hure staff to look after the animals, wouldnt a natural preservation be easier to handle? That way we would just need a skeleton crew to watch over the house and basic security at most, right?"Ned: "You actually gave this some more thought than I expected,"Brass: "I'm not a kid, even if I'm going to fulfill a childhood dream with this. I think we can hire a regular gardening service to tend to the ground immediately around the house, clean the old attractions out, and leave most of the ground grow wild, with room for garden parties or what not."Ned: "Alright, Brass, I'll see what I can do. Want to hire someone to clear the terrain?"Brass: "Ah, I think I'll enjoy inviting some friends and have fun demolishing things, but we'll still need some trucks to carry the trash to a dump."Ned: "Alright, I'll tell you if anything else comes up."Brass: "Alright, thanks for taking care of this."You reassure him it is no problem, and end the call.Aritsu: "Well, it would still be a good idea to take a look at the terrain, in person, before buying it, right?"
>>33603969Want to get a famous architect to take a look, ask Lyann about it, or something else?
>>33604000We should at least ask Lyann if she interested.
>>33604000Get Lyann's opinion first.
>>33604016>>33604050Time for cancer-healing building, uh? Anyway, you'll probably have to wait until sunday. We have movie night and then the following day we have the fights. It wouldnt be good to not be focused on supporting the guys, I think.Want to just resume movie night, or play it out?
>>33604120I'd be interested in playing out movie night a bit, but either one is good for me.
>>33604159Alright.***Lyann: "I believe you have more than enough cookies."Mako: "Really?" -Mako has a couple of large baskets filled with snacks for movie time.Lyann: "Quite. Are you going to spend the night there?"Mako: "I... do not know. Maybe? it will be my second pajama party!"Lyann: "Thank you should take some extra clothes instead of more snacks."Ned enjoys the girls preparations for Mako's night out, just sitting against the back of a chair as the two beauties go back and forth around the floor.Lyann: "Ned, are you going to bring her back before or after lunch?"Ned: "Before? probably. I still work in the morning so we'll be back early."Lyann: "Alright."A few minutes later, you are opening the car's door for Mako.Mako: "T-thank you" -she says softly as she moves in. She's wearing a short (for her) one piece, soft botton dress that reaches a little under her knees. It has a small, heart shapred window high on her chest, and a matching one on her back, albeit her hair keeps that one out of sight.Ned: "How has your show been?"Mako: "It is very fun. We teach things to the children and learn things ourselves, too! Yesterday we saw some penguin documentals... could we film a music video on antartica?"Ned: "...sure?"The girl seems very excited about the idea, and Flux! certainly can afford it, but maybe you could arrange using an aquarium's or zoo's penguins instead. Antarctica Aquarium/Zoo
>>33604364How good is everyone's environmental protections? A music video might not be the best idea if some people pass out in the middle from hypothermia.
>>33604415...That would be suboptimal, yes.
>>33604415Well, IIRC Bella, Stella and Lyann have the adaptability enhancement so they can "comfortably survive in any earth weather, or even stand the depths of the marianna trench and the surface of the sun." The rest of the band is more "normal" in that they'll need proper clothing. Also, IIRC Metallica just had a concert in the chilean-controlled anctartic territory and it was a great success.Chile also has the southernmost city in the world, Punta Arenas, just a ferry trip away from actual antertic territory, so it depends on how deep into it you want to go, I guess.
>>33604633Then why not?
>>33604633Chileans cheer "Olé olé olé" for everythinghttp://youtu.be/2Hi2u98VKxc
>>33604675Oh, that reminds me, the band has quite a bit of exp we havent used. Want the rest of the band to take Adaptability (the enhancement) so they can ignore weather/temperature as well? its just 3 exp after all.
>>33604706And I just visualized Aura and Euphry singing in a swimsuit and ragged jeans and short, respectively. The scenario would have to be completely portable so as to pollute as little as possible tho. Chilean anctartic territory is a wildlife sanctuary. Tho I imagine the penguins probably ran away from all the peopleAlso, someday, Flux! will develop its own cameras to play live from the surface of the sun. Probably
E!: We are now covering Flux's new album "hotter than the sun"Yeah, I can see that happeningAnyway...***Driving up tp Mai's ranch, it is somewhat surprising to see another car parked outside, but as you descend from your own car and go around to open the door for Mako, you notice Ami and Eldric through the open front door.Ami wanted to drop by for a bit, and dragged Eldric along.Mako is happy to have more people to have her pajama night with. Mai is obviously sligthly annoyed, but happy that her "baby sister" is home, and teasing Eldric mercilessly.Eldric gives you looks that clearly a cry for help.Ami: "Oh, I had no idea you were going to have a movie night... should I buy some pizza?"Mako: "I made cookies!"Ami: "Of course you did. But I dont think you have enough cookies for 5 novas, do you?"Mako: "...alright."Ami drags Mako to her room for a bit, which leaves you, Mai and Eldric alone.**** Join into teasing Eldric Save him Other

>>33604942So... 13 successes. Like I said, brutal
>>33604942>>33604961Poor Eldric. His self confidence is being sacrificed in the altar of Mai.Well, after you successfully torment him for a bit, Mai feels bad enough that she stops you, so he's spared an all night tease, at least. So, win/win?Mai is wearing a long sports shirt, and Eldric seems rather uncomfortable with her going around like that.As a final prank, and as a favor, she goes off to Ami's room for a while, planning something. While you are wondering about it, the pizza arrives, however. The delivery boy is conflicted as Eldric opens the door. He's a fan, but he was really looking forth to seeing Mai, as usual.Still he does ask for an autograph.***Any movie suggestions?
>>33605040I'm thinking an incredibly sappy romance, but I'm out of names. Also, my shift starts in 4 minutes
>>336051241 or 2? yes, there's a 2. Also Its good to see you, how have you been?>>33605170Alright, I guess we should stop here for today, then. I'll stick around for a bit as usual, but im archiving the thread now.
>>33605192Ehhh, works kinda makes the whole 'Getting up at 4-5am and stay around in the morning' bit kinda hard...As for how I've been, issues. Meh.
>>33605332Well, I hope you are healthy. Trust me, you don't appreciate it until its gone. Health, that is.After losing my right eye I truily panicked when I started losing my left one, but it seems to have been saved, even if im not 95% blind, I can still write and read, a little.
