>Fire>Air>Water>EarthPreviously, on Avatar Quest.....After leaving your home in the capital of the Northern Kingdom on orders of the Queen, you and your family travelled West, seeking to explore and settle lands in her name. After several days, you suggested creating a clearing in the forest by destroying trees with Earthbending. In the process of trying, you attracted a pack of Crocodile Wolves, prompting a brief but fierce fight that left three of them dead. Your parents prepared the slain beasts to be eater, and you all sat down for dinner, soon joined by a family sent by the Queen to help you all on your mission. After a brief conversation, the father of the family, Ren, revealed himself to be the sister of the Queen, who despised him and his family for being nonbenders. As the conversation continued, one of his daughters, Galda, continuously insulted bending and benders, prompting you to challenge her to a fight. She accepted, and fought you unarmed. The two of you reached a stalemate as the fight went on, and Galda became enraged. Your father stepped in to keep one of you from being killed.
>Welcome to Avatar Quest. Here are the rules.Decisions are made by vote. Each vote has a ten minute interval, after which, the option that receives the most votes it the one that is chosen. There are no write-ins unless explicitly statedSome options require rolls. In that event, rolls will be out of 100. Whether rolls succeed or fail is decided by the first three rolls. If one passes, then you succeed regardless of the other two. Rolls will really only occur during training, or when trying something new.All decisions are final. If you regret voting for something, too bad. Think carefully before you make decisions.Try to keep waifu bullshit to a minimum.
You get into a defensive stance again, feeling a bit less confident than you did earlier. Galda breaks into a run, rushing you as she did in the beginning of your fight. As she gets closer, you stomp on the ground in front of you, pulling a chunk of earth free. You hurl it at her, but she slides under it and keeps coming. You hurl another, and she cartwheels to the side. You keep brining up more and more chunks of earth, hurling them at your foe, who continues to evade them. You might not be landing a hit, but you are keeping her at bay."ENOUGH!" your father yells. Both you and Galda turn your attention to him as he storms towards the two of you."There will be NO MORE of this," he tells you angrily.Galda narrows her eyes at him, then begins to rush towards you once again."Galda! That is enough!" Ren shouts. This time, she listens, stopping in her tracks. After glaring at her father, she turns and walks to her daggers, picking them off the ground. For a moment, you are certain that she is going to attack you once again, and this time use her daggers in an effort to kill you. But, instead, she runs into the woods.>A. Follow>B. "Aww...the fight's over?" Sonyo asks dejectedly."Who won?" Lee asks."Nobody," Sena tells her son calmly. "Is she going to be alright?" Bulo asks, looking towards the trees."Yes, she will be fine; she just needs time to calm down," Ren assures him."I'm going to go find her," Felna says, standing up."That might not be the best idea," your mother tells her. "We've already had to fight a pack of Crocodile Wolves. There's really no telling what else is out there. At the very least, you should take someone with you.""Are you volunteering?" Felna asks."I'd be happy to help," your mom tells her, standing up."Forgive me, Talga, but given the nature of the situation, having a bender go to her now might not be the best idea," Ren tells her gently."Oh, I get it; you don't want help from us benders, you have just as low an opinion of us as your daughter," your father says, clearly offended."He has a point," your mother tells your father. Bulo asks."No, he has a point," Ren says. "Besides, it might be better to settle things now rather than have the two of them at each other's throats from here on, anyway.""Fine," your father replies. "Just be careful what you say," Sena tells you."Don't worry; I'll be there to keep them both in line," Felna tells her mother, smirking in your direction."Alright, but be careful; both of you," your father says."Of course, sir," Felna says before turning to you. "Try to keep up."With that, she dashes into the forest, and you follow. You move as quickly as you can, but Felna is a great deal faster than you, making it difficult for you to even keep her in sight. The two of you duck under branches and leap over logs and rocks as you make your way through the forest, looking for signs of Galda. The only thing that really catches your eye is a tree with clawmarks running down its base. You can't tell how long the marks have been there; some creature could have made them years ago. Or, perhaps Galda ran into some sort of predator. >A. Call out to Felna and tell her what you found>B. Looking down, you see that one more step would have taken you down a very steep slope and into a creek bed, much like it apparently did to Galda. She stands in the shallow water, a single dead Crocodile Wolf lying beside her. Before her stands another of the beasts, snarling and baring its teeth at her. You notice blood running down her left arm, but judging by the look of the corpse next to her, you don't think it's hers. The remaining Crocodile Wolf growls and leaps at its foe, who sidesteps and spins to face it as it lands.Seeing Galda's right side, you notice that her right arm looks pretty messed up. Perhaps she dislocated it in the fall. It hangs limply at her side, and her right hand is empty."We have to help her," Felna tells you.>A. Go down the slope and try not to get hurt>B. With its focus entirely on Galda, it never even sees your attack coming. The chunk of Earth slams into its side, knocking it over and sending it sliding further from you.Galda's head snaps towards you, her eyes narrowing when she sees you. Turning her attention back to her fallen foe, she rushes the creature as it struggles to right itself. She leaps onto the chunk of Earth that now rests in the creek bed, and leaps off of it, bringing her dagger down with her and sinking it into the creature's head between its eyes. The Crocodile Wolf lets out a shocked cry, spasming and backing up before going limp and falling to the ground, dead. You hear Galda shout a curse as Felna relocated her arm. The two of them proceed to look around the creek, presumably for the other dagger. While they're preoccupied by that, however, something catches your eye.It moves on four legs, like a Crocodile Wolf, but is far bigger. It's large, powerful legs support a massive, brown-furred body. From the body, at the end of a short neck, is a fish-head with a long, curved fin rising from it. Two black, expressionless eyes look around as the creature sniffs the air. It lets out a low hiss, revealing hundreds of small but jagged teeth. It's clawed feet begin to carry it towards the two girls, who seem to be completely unaware of it.>A. It ends up simply being too far away, and your rock crashes a few feet in front of the beast. This does, however, cause it to rear up and let out a roar of surprise, alerting Galda and Felna to what you were warning them about. Felna says something to Galda, who nods as the two of them break into a sprint towards the slope where you are standing. The creature roars and gives chase, moving quickly to catch them. The girls reach the slope, but it is too steep for them to climb. You're not sure if you can reach to help them up, and trying might waste what time they have before the creature reaches them. You could try Earthbending, but there's no telling how much more rock you can remove from the slope before the ground becomes unstable and you fall. You could go down and help them, but you don't know how you'll get out once you're down there.>A. Try to help them up>B. Throw a rock at the approaching creature>C. You're all winded, and the girls have some scraped on them, but otherwise, you all seem to be unharmed."Well, that was exciting," Felna comments after a moment."Yeah, but what was that thing?" Galda asks."I have no idea; I'm just glad we didn't have to fight it," her sister replies."Really? I wish we'd stuck around and took it down," Galda replies.Felna's eyes narrow. "Don't be so cocky; had we not shown up, you wouldn't have even beaten those Crocodile Wolves.""I was fine!" Galda protests. "Had I not fallen, those things would have been dead long before you got there.""But you did fall, and had our friend here not stepped in with his Earthbending, you might have died," Felna tells her sister angrily.Galda turns to you, seeming to acknowledge your presence for the first time since fleeing that creature. You see that she has a rather nasty looking cut above her right eye; most likely from her fight with the Crocodile Wolves. You begin to pull chunks of earth out of the slope, but manage to make them more smooth and rectangular shaped. In addition, you only bring them part of the way out. You pull out chunk after chunk until you have a small stairway leading up the slope.Felna looks at you, mouth agape."That's amazing!" she tells you. The two of you approach your new staircase, and Felna immediately begins to climb. You follow, and the two of you quickly make your way to the top of the slope. Felna turns around and looks back down into the creek, then back to you."And my sister says bending is useless," she laughs. "If she saw this she'd change her tune.">A.
