PREVIOUS EPISODES: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Ghost+BustersLAST EPISODE: You parked the car, and began the building inspection.- - -Things have not gone so well in your assault on the yokai infested building. On the plus side, you've gotten about half way up the building, and were making short work of the opposition. At least until the kitsune pulled out a gun and shot Akira. Then Yurei directly handled an anti-PKE artifact in order to give you cover for your escape. Then Mitsuko, the Child of Dark Water, Avatar of Oiwa, tried to drown you on the stairs. So now you're hiding in an empty hotel room, Akira laid out on a makeshift cot, with a bullet in his upper shoulder. All of you dripping wet, and in the corner, Yurei staring at her hands that are starting to slowly...unravel is the most suitable term.Sato is sitting next to the door, proton wand ready. Trying to listen for any pursuers.Star is in the corner, pulling out the first aid kit. The good news is that it's a heavy duty kit, with disinfectant, tweezers, tape sutures, needle and thread, bandage wrap, gauze, the whole works. The bad news is that this kit was designed for people with nasty splinters or chunks of wood in their flesh, not bullets. She looks at you, with expectant hope in her eyes. You WERE supposedly in college to get your medical degree, so you have some medical knowledge.Of course you were then kicked OUT of college, so it isn't as if you've had much practice. And then there's Yurei. And if the yokai hunt you guys down, you can't run from this position.> Grab the equipment and start to work on Akira.> Get the PKE scanner and other GB tech out and help Yurei> Go outside of the hotel room to make sure that the place is clear.> You can assign Star and Sato to do other tasks, such as:> Help Akira> Help Yurei> Guard the door> Go outside and keep watch/act as a lure to keep yokai away

>>33171481Yeah, it sounds like we have the most medical training, so we pull out the bullet.Sato should guard the door. Explode anything trying to get in. Star helps Yurei. Maybe some slime?
>>33171650>>33171596>>33171595You sigh and grab the stuff from the first aid kit."Star, help Yurei. See if the posi-slime can help her." You say. "Sato, watch the door, and everyone please try to be as quiet as possible."You prop Akira's head and feet up. "Akira, you've been doing great, but it's now really really important that you stay calm and think of calming happy things. If you go into shock...don't go into shock."He nods."No, I mean it. This is going to hurt, a lot. A WHOLE lot. I'm going to gag you so you don't bite or scream."Akira nods and opens his mouth, you put in a cloth wrapped chunk of wood in and he bites down. You take a deep breath. Get the bullet out. If you can do that, the rest should be pretty simple. You spray disinfectant on the tweezers and Akira's wound. You see his chest heave a little at the burning pain."Yeah. It's gonna get worse." So...back inside kiddo."Yurei disappears back into the Chyme."You know," Sato says. "If Yurei died in the late 80s, early nineties...she's not that much older than we are. Kinda."You look at Akira. You say to Akira.Akira flips you off.You take a sigh and wrap up the bullet it a piece of tissue. You still can't believe that you actually did it. You're keeping it. Holy crap, you actually pullet a bullet out of a human being! That's awesome!Akira punches your side, and you return to the current issue. Right, Akira still has a hole in his body. Thankfully one that isn't bleeding anymore, so you just have to sew it up."You mind having a scar?" You ask. "Because I don't plan on trying for making this pretty."Akira punches you again."Hey, I could have left that thing in there." You say. "Alright, don't move too much, this won't hurt as much as before, but it'll still be a bitch."He rolls his eyes and makes a sigh/moan.You start the process of sewing him up.Star has joined Sato at the door to watch for threats.> Roll 1d12
Oh crap, I hate being late to this. You guys made sure to help Akira right? Yurei is already dead, so the worst that could happen is she loses her PKE material connection to our realm and passes on, as sad as that would be to all of us. Ignoring the whole "playing god by denying souls passage to the next world, just because they want to stay"Later we can figure out a way to stop that PKE leakage.Several things we can do is:1. Empower her through belief/emotional power. The more people Believe in Yurei, the more powerful she could become2. Have her absorb smaller ghosts for power. Maybe tiny hauntings who aren't people like those crying computers.3. Magic/Ritual empowerings. Sacrifice a goat? I'm sure there are spells someone can use. We could also still ask Rini and Sachiko to invoke the blessing of Ōkuninushi, god of spirits, and Rini being a rabbit youkai would help us get his favor.4. Ask Rini to take her to the Japanese underworld and bring her to their ghost hospital, maybe even meet the Peoplebusters along the way.
Rolled 7>>33172393OOOh. PERFECT stitches! And our major was undecided.
>>33172393"All clear." Star says."How's it going?" Sato asks."This is not something you rush." You say. "Akira, I'm doing the best that I can, but I think we need to go back to the Factory and YOU to Nurse Reika at the clinic."Akira takes out the chunk of wood. "Screw that. Bitch SHOT me. Besides, if we run, they'll dig in and we'll never get this far again.""Okay, okay." You continue to treat and suture Akira's wound.> Roll 1d20

"You still should get that looked at by Nurse Reika after this."Akira winces as he tries to put his pack back on. "Strap it around my waist." He says. You help him out with that."Thanks, Daisuke." He says. "We're a team," You say. "Anytime.""Yeah, let's hope that's not anytime soon again." Akira says. "How do the American branches deal with this?""I don't think they get shot all the time, the proliferation of guns in America notwithstanding." Sato says. >>33173317> Utility stairs
I think it would be best to continue down the path we were already heading. In attacks where there is a large area of effect like with the water pouring down the stairwell, it is unlikely that any Yokai were on or around the source and area effected. HOWEVER, I think we should first find a different door pack onto the same stairwell. That way anybody who is watching our door might be caught off guard.

>>33173495True. But Akira and Yurei should be delt within some way so that they aren't in any danger of being hurt again. If Akira comes with us, make sure he is given Yurei and has the main duty of using the stasis beam and slime blower. If he insists on coming with us, which would in fact be one of the safest things to do, he must agree to go into defensive attacks instead of offensive.

>>33174452These tengu didn't really fly, did they? I don't remember hearing descriptions of wings. If they're that intent on coming down the stairs, then if the stairs are slimed then they won't be able to stop.
>>33174402It would be nice to have a good tengu.Maybe we should stay by the door way and spray meson coliders through the door. And if anybody tries to flank us, slime the stairs behind us so they fall and break their necks. We should literally try to bottleneck them in the door way, then press foreward in the same fashion that we did when we first meet them
>>33174472>If they're that intent on coming down the stairs, then if the stairs are slimed then they won't be able to stop. That's exactly the type of thing that concerns me not wanting to be buried in Tengu, also slime slows them down not up sadly that would've been fucking funny watching them all fumble down the stairs, stepping out of their way, and watching them fall down the previous stairs behind us like a slide made of bannana peels

>>33174669I can back that.I wonder if this Tengu is only programmed to yell? It'd've been funny if we could just pick him up stiff as a board and run off with him covering his mouth. Kidding of course
You run after the tengu that's shouting and yelling. There's a bunch of tengu tearing through the empty condos on this floor and you can hear the squeaking and running noises from the next large staircase, more are coming. The halls and layout of this floor is much more open as compared to the hotel. There's small open areas, a few hallways, and an open walkway around the central ring. You can look down and see YOMI-1 down about 20+ floors below.> Move to the hallways and try for a bottleneck like you did before.> Keep the fighting in the smaller open spaces, to keep your mobility as high as possible and keep you from getting surrounded like before.> Move the fighting to the central ring, it's a bit risky but you'll be able to try and see if these tengu can fly.> Screw making a stand on this floor, make a swift push towards the stairway, fight your way up and get to the movie theater floor.> Other

>>33174992>>33174900>>33174890You all pull back into a small little rotunda, and you can hear all of the tengu swarming. Thankfully, they don't seem that smart. The kitsune isn't around to give them direction and they don't seem to realize that there's four ways into this rotunda. They're trying to copy the tactic they did at the hotel floors. Which means that you're not only able to get them with the same tactic, but flank them as well when they charge into the rotunda, which is small enough to force their numbers down.> Roll 1d20+2

>>33175734> Forget the tengu, they're nothings. We've got two more floors of this crap and a garden party from hell. Let's go.Too late to double back now. It'd be like waiting in line for an hour at the amusement park, and chickening out before you're buckled in. We've already used resources and sustained damage. It shouldn't be for nothing.
>>33175792Well, my reasoning was that if we wipe out all of the tengu, we won't get hit by a flanking attack by them when that kitsune with the gun rallies them again. Also it's to show the other youkai here that we're not playing around. We've killed three weasels, a kappa, two kuchisaki's, a yukionna, and who knows how many tengu by now. We can have the weaker-willed youkai abandon this place and be scared to cross us.
I want to kill them to ease off the stress on the headquarters, but we don't even know if the Tengu are even PART of the attack team, so we may waste energy killing them pointlessly, and letting any yokai upstairs bunker down in preparation for us. If needed, we can quickly slime the staircase they are using to let them slip and stumble, but that is the most we can do at the moment.
>>33175918Why not outright destroy the staircases to limit their descent and demonstrate our resolve?Unless they can fly.
>>33175952That could work too, unless they just decide to pile out the windows and survive the fall impact or simply just fill the gap with bodies and walk over each other.

Considering they did this before, they may be expecting us to jump onto the floor we are on and dodge the flood. However, if we strap down and ride it out, the mural fish things might come to life and try to kill us. I would like to ride it out, if only to say "Fuck you" to all the yokai.

You okay?" Sana says. "We got cut off.""Crap, they're getting close." Kali says. "Come on kiddo, we gotta go.""Okay, can't talk. Stuff's happening. Gotta go." Sana says. "If you see a big explosion and evidence of a Serious Company Protocol Violation...look never mind...they're almost here."She hangs up and follows Kali and Sachiko.A little while later, you can hear someone trying to pick the door lock of the factory."-ound like the best plan." A voice says. "Won't other lands step in?""No, no. That's the genius of Her Royal Highness' plan. The good obedient bloodlines, priests, exorcists, and other mortals, they'll be out there keeping a large amount of people safe. They'll be trained to do so by the government program. Then, after the damage has been done, her ladyship will emerge as the savior. The surviving humans will flock to her leadership, and the obedient exorcists will fall in line and obey the New Ways as given by her."The door opens and four women in surgical masks walk into the dark room."Then we will have control over this land, the mortals having been reduced to nothing but meek mice."(cont)
>>33179543I'm still questioning the validity of her statement. Whether Inari and the rest of the pantheon is truly /gone/ or whether it's like "she's no longer relevant, because we're totally going to win and kill them all" or "the bloody moons are blocking heaven! the gods cannot hear you"
>>33179582The lights click on, and the four women see that they're surrounded by two pissed off vampires, one priestess with a bow and arrow, and a secretary that has a proton pack strapped on her back."Squeak squeak, mother fuckers." San says.- - - NOW - - -"So we got them, after a REALLY nasty fight, you never told me how heavy these things KICKED!" Sana says. "Yeah, it's a shock." You say. "So they're all dead?""Yeah, Kali and her Grandfather ate them." Sana says. "And Kaede?""Is watching TV at Sachiko's." Sana says."And the containment grid?" You say."Untouched." Sana says. "And Kali's insulting someone on a phone she picked up.""Yeah. Okay, thanks. I have to go. Bye." You hang up.One of the large men, the one in the red tie, is standing in front of the doorway. He fills the entire door way.He crooks one figure for you all to follow him.> Follow him> Shoot him> Run> Other
>>33179633>Other"Wait, before we have to get uncivilized about this; what's she got over you guys? The thing about Inari being gone obviously was as much of a surprise to you as it was to us."It's not just money, is it? A matter of honor?"
>>33179633"We'll be right behind you."Use his massive form as a living cover to target the Kitsune.
>>33179633>> Follow himHe obviously can't talk outloud to us, otherwise she'd realize. So follow him, have packs ready, and have someone keep an eye on the Oni. When we get a chance, we blast her.
>>33179686>>33179690He and his partner are still following the kitsune's orders; he's still likely to block the shot as he is required to.
>>33179747Eh, he could have forcibly grabbed us and started a fight, especially when the Kitsune's plan went belly up. The fact that he's not and quietly asking us to follow him means I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.
>>33179747Can we levitate things with our gear without necessarily harming them?I know someone was talking about lifting the car.Because someone else can just move her out of the way.
>>33179690You look the 'man' straight in the eyes and slowly take out your proton wand, but keep it pointed at the ground."We'll be right behind you." You say.The man narrows his eyes at you and he holds out his hand."Do you have the bullet?" He asks. You instantly hand him the slug.He takes it and pops it into his mouth. "Thank you," He says as he crunches it. "It is best to not have bullets from ones' gun floating about.""That's YOUR gun?!" Akira says. "YOU gave it to her?!""I did not GIVE it to her." He says. "She was allowed to HAVE it. I will be taking it back, it is my tool for WORK.""I thought you guys had clubs." Star says. "If you are what I think you are.""We are, and I do have a club." The man says. "You do NOT wish to see it, because then I would be USING it.""O-kay." Star says."So why are you following her?" Akira asks."Debts." He says. He does not elaborate."OH FUCK YOU AND YOUR COFFIN, YOU SHADOW-PUPPET FUCK! There a holdup or something?! Bring the out here...I am going to blow their heads off!" The kitsune rants."They will follow us." The blue tie man says from right next to his brother."We will be taking six steps straight towards the kitsune," The red tie man says. "Then we will hold still. That is all. Understand?"You all nod."Good. Know this, this is professionalism. This is not an alliance. This is not a kindness. If we meet again, and we have been given orders, we will be in combat." The red tie turns and the two men take their six long steps towards the kitsune, you right behind them.> Blast her from their side at Step No 1-6> Try to shoot her between their legs> Continue negotiation/taunting> Other> If you choose to blast her, please also select your weapon type Proton/Slime/Stasis/Meson
>>33179819We can lift small wooden chairs and cups without breaking them if we put them down gently. Not even so much as a charred smell.
>>33179863>>33179819We could even in theory yank the gun away from her hand, in the same way we could yank the core from a golem.
>>33179861Eh, I'd say use Stasis.
>>33179894Or we just melt it in her hand too, at the speed of light which should be faster than the speed of a bullet.
>>33179861This is the point where I wish someone had something witty to say to taunt her and give us a better shot.
>>33179861>> Blast her from their side at Step No 1-6Two Stasis, two Proton. Trap at the ready.
>>33179861Can we Slime Tether her to the ceiling? The kickback from the gun would make things amusing.
>>33179941>>33179861Two stasis and two proton. We take point. We and Sato move to the right and left of the oni to aim for her gun/arm and melt either or, while star moves to shoot stasis streams at her from under the Oni's legs. Akira moves in afterward.
>>33179971That's a funny enough plan to work.
>>33179941One...the others get into position and pull their wands.Two...you get Sato and Star on Stasis and you and Akira on ProtonThree...you get the trap out with one hand and get it ready.Four...You all take positionFive..."Will you two hurry up, I don't have all ni-"Six. "NOW!"> Roll 1d20
Rolled 5>>33179989Time to test our luck.
Rolled 15, 6, 14 = 35>>33179989The other three lunge out, blasting as well.
Rolled 12>>33179989>>33179995Almost. One more try.
Rolled 1>>33179997>>33180017Star misses, but Sato hits with his stasis beam. Specifically he was aiming at the kitsune's gun arm.You and Akira nail the bitch hard from both sides. The kitsune...
>>33180029Drops the gun in shock and pain. You toss the trap out. You're not exactly sure what it will do to a Yokai, since she technically isn't a ghost.> Roll 1d20
Rolled 9>>33180043Warm fuzzy dice. Warm fuzzy dice. Warm fuzzy dice.
Rolled 7>>33180043LET'S FIND OUT
Sorry to interrupt the AWESOME, but this isn't Tamamo-no-mae right? this is the avatar of dark water or something kitsune?
Rolled 17>>33180047Well, apparently it does jack all.The light does serve as enough to blind her for a moment. She makes a dive for the gun.
>>33180079Damn it. She got the thing before you guys could shoot it or kick it out of the way!Your turn.
>>33180076It's either her or one of her subordinates. She has made an appearance in this quest.
>>33180076Correct. This is just a kitsune that works for Tamamo-no-mae and is the liaison between her and Mitsuko. Mitsuko is the Avatar.
>>33180088>>33180079She turned her back on us, a fatal error. While she turns to so much as aim for us, we'll be to steps ahead and have aimed at her. Four streams aiming ready to melt that weapon, can't possibly miss them all.
>>33180133Melt that freaking thing already.
Rolled 7, 18, 9 = 34>>33180141>>33180133"Melt that gun!" You shout.Everyone shoots a proton stream at the gun.> Roll 1d20
>>33180133Should probably tether it to the red oni. I don't think he'll appreciate us wrecking his things. Don't want to see his club.
Rolled 2>>33180155Wait, is it really okay to melt that Oni's property?
Rolled 3>>33180155Yeah >>33180160has a good point.Hopefully one of our allies thought of that.
Rolled 4>>33180155>>33180160>>33180164Well, too late for that.
Rolled 19>>33180164Well, as he said, "It is best to not have bullets from ones' gun floating about."Let's just say we took it literal
Rolled 2>>33180174Everyone misses but Sato. The gun...
>>33180202The super heating from the proton stream does not cause the gun to melt.It does however, cause all of the bullets to fire at once inside the cylinder. So there's a scream of pain, a clatter of broken metal on the floor, and the kitsune is holding a bleeding paw, howling in pain, there are metal shards stuck into it. The blood is thick and black. You know that means she tore up some vital stuff.> "Blast her. Put her out of her misery."> "You're bleeding arterial blood. If the shards and bleeding isn't stopped, you'll be dead in minutes. Surrender and I'll save your life." You're only slightly bluffing here. The bluffing part is the idea that you'll be able to stop the bleeding, you can MAYBE pull it off. You are at least aware of what you need to do, in that you saw the steps in a textbook. > "You're bleeding from a cut artery. Run and get help. It's your only chance." > Other
>>33180245>"You're bleeding arterial blood. If the shards and bleeding isn't stopped, you'll be dead in minutes. Surrender and I'll save your life."Maybe it can be cauterized? She'll probably choose death anyway… or someone else might for her.
>>33180245> "You're bleeding arterial blood. If the shards and bleeding isn't stopped, you'll be dead in minutes. Surrender and I'll save your life." "You swore against heaven and the gods. How easily do you think they'll let in when you die?"
>>33180245>"You're bleeding arterial blood. If the shards and bleeding isn't stopped, you'll be dead in minutes. Surrender and I'll save your life."Give it a shot and she'd be in our debt.I'm not sure there's anyone else in the area for her to turn to.
>>33180291Apply a temporary tourniquet to stop/slow the bleeding.Cauterization would be. . .difficult, but not impossible. Could also try to apply posi slime and play appropriate chyme music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_izvAbhExYtruth be told she does deserve death more than those spiders we lit on fire and killed who didn't really attack us first or make a direct move against our sister and was merely employed by the kitsune, and she DID directly attack our sister But we could still use her for information.
>>33180245> "You're bleeding arterial blood. If the shards and bleeding isn't stopped, you'll be dead in minutes. Surrender and I'll save your life."
>>33180245> "You're bleeding arterial blood. If the shards and bleeding isn't stopped, you'll be dead in minutes. Surrender and I'll save your life." Although I never said anything about Akira.
>>33180333"You're bleeding arterial blood. If the shards aren't removed, and bleeding isn't stopped, you'll be dead in minutes. Surrender and I'll save your life." You say."Tsch, as if I'd take help from a mortal. This is nothing." The kitsune looks at her hand and gestures. "It isn't fixing itself! WHY isn't it working?!""Iron and steel." The man with the blue tie says. The kitsune looks up, horrified. "No...oh, no no no no!" She starts to hyperventilate."No no no!" You shout. "Don't do that! You'll go into shock!"It's too late, you see her eyes roll up in her head and she collapses onto the floor and suddenly there's just a little fox on the ground that's bleeding heavily from a mangled paw.You move to help, but a large hand grips your collar and lifts you up from the ground. The red tie oni looks at you, with unnervingly calm eyes. You see that he's got his other hand firmly gripping Akira's shoulder. The blue tie oni has his hands holding Star and Sato's shoulder."You broke my gun." He says.END EPISODE 24
>>33180396NEXT EPISODETHURSDAY, JULY 10th, 3-5 PM PST
>>33180396Slightly annoyed since only one of us suggested to melt the thing. But hopefully we can pay for a new one?It didn't appear to be magical.
>>33180396Hope we don't get introduced to The Club. See you next Thursday.
>>33180438>pay for a new one>pay for a gun>in JapanThat is going to be seriously expensive.
