Looks like some spending might be underway. At the end of last thread you all seemed rather keen on -Adaptive Veneer: Black night, red dawn 1d6Sanity is NOT overrated: 2d6Stylish 1d6And you wanted to use the 1 point left over to change a word.-Upgrading your cosmic awareness from low grade to mid gradeor-Making the Enviable nature of your Metabolism either Monstrous or Inhuman. Is that right?Anyhow: Last time on Big Changes Quest: Tsubasa finished off the Giant Beast as it landed on a beach in Chiba Prefecture, consumed it’s internal nanite colonies, and swiftly vanished into the sea before returning to Tokyo. There she reunited with Kentaro and the two went for lunch from the Job Fair only to see parts of the daring combat show up on the news despite the attempted military blackout on the incident. We continue.
>>32501860The room sits for a few minutes in silent awe, erupting into sound and discussion at the replayed fleeting images of a human sized figure combating the huge beast.“It’s bone density to function at that size-”“-arcing of the discharge so consistently-”“We could assume telekinetic abilities for lifting and shaping the sand. We could also-”“The generator needed for that much electricity would need to at least have a mass of...no, okay assume the battery is round-”“-momentum to roll up and out of the ocean like that is infeasible at best,”Speaking to one another loudest and most argumentative are the engineers. A few armchair scientists try to join in and listen while their eyes still dart back to the screen. You might as well join in, excusing yourself, you lean over to the slowly collecting scientists in the small eatery and chime in.“Think Gojira could be coming out next?” a young man from the pack eyes you dubiously, “Sorry, bad ice breaker. 50,000 K for a few arc lights at a time couldn’t have been enough to melt and shape that glass. Something else is going on there that we can’t see,”For the next hour or so, people in the restaurant are clamoring theories about everything that was seen. Points and counter points raised about what was documented in Vegas. A rapid fire think tank formed spontaneously and perhaps in fear and wonder of the unknown. By the end of it, you feel rather proud of yourself. For deeds done and the intricate conversations had about your victory.Parting ways from the heard, you and Kentaro head back toward the station, pausing briefly to wait for him after he excuses himself to use the restroom. While you wait alone in the bustling station, a familiar presence comes into your field of awareness. Tomoko Tomoe, and she’s but a brief moment from your position and closing. You can imagine why she would try making direct contact right now.

Stretching your arms and leaning against the wall, you get comfortable as you feel Tomoko turning corners and winding her way down toward you. Could she be delivering the upset of her employers to you personally? Could she just be trying to keep a closer eye on you after you just flew out of local range? Either way, you’ll be friendly and you will wait. She rounds the corner and you wave at her with a smile. The faintest ghost of shock spreads across your face before she girds herself back to a ‘I’m mildly upset’ face before she strides over to you. You raise your arms and slide your hands behind your head as she comes to a stop in front of you.“We need to talk,”“I figured as much. How are you?” “Oh, you know,” she slumps her shoulders and falls with her back against the wall beside you, “Stressed and overworked. Watching over patients who go out of their way to do difficult things,”“Sometimes difficult things are necessary,”“Hmm...I guess. Did you see the news this afternoon?”“It was hard to miss,”“That was something, huh, some kinda super woman kicking the crap out of a giant monster. Tons of people are happy nothing happened beyond the beach, but plenty are scared out of their wits,” she sighs.“I guess we’re lucky that there aren’t mass riots,” you concede.“Still might, Media saturation of the story isn’t predicted until late tonight and tomorrow morning,” she grouses, “and no one has any idea where either really came from,”>Really, no one knows where the Armadillo came from?>So, is your work going okay?>Wouldn’t mind knowing, maybe seek it out for a snack later.>Did Mori Micro have anything to do with it?>Did the other guys have anything to do with it?>Other

“Really, no one knows where the Armadillo came from?” your smile falters and takes on a smug and perhaps slightly accusatory tone.Tomoko Tomoe doesn’t look amused in the least. You don’t think you’ve ever seen her look cross before, but she does. It radiates off of her, the displeasure.“We don’t know where it came from,” she grouses, “The ‘clergy’ shouldn’t have had the capacity to pull something like that off...even as uncontrollable as it was. And if you’re going to be so smug about it, I hope you choke on the next one,”She storms off into the crowd, calling back to you over her shoulder, “There’s a war coming. You’re the turning point! Get your head out of your giant rock hard ass,”You’re ass isn’t giant. At least, it isn’t right now.“Was that Tomoe-san?”Your heart almost leaps from your chest. “Yeah. She seemed upset about something,” you wonder aloud and fall forward from the wall and find your gait.Falling in step beside you Kentaro checks his watch, “Well, we better make haste if we are going to catch our train,”This time you are able to grab a seat on the way back from the job fair, continuing to make idle chit chat and small talk with Kentaro on the way back home. Its a long way, and you’re rather distracted.Just what else is coming and what else is waiting for you? When you finally get home, you relax your latest compression. Feeling the fabric of your skirt and strain beneath you as you grow just a little bit taller and your muscles become just that much more thick. Flexing your arms, you relish as the sleeves give way. Black tearing across the surface, white bolts of lightning as the blouse beneath is exposed. It is a release, a cathartic moment that brings you clarity and peace despite the uncertainty.Hooking your thumbs into the now skin tight skirt, you pull forward slightly and let it tear away and fall to the ground. Everything left on you is so tight, so constricting. Your bra digs into your shoulders and part of you spills out of the cups, raised muffins against a slowly breaking pan.
>>32504518You don’t even need it, really. Finishing disrobing, you set about getting into something more comfortable. An old t-shirt with a forgotten band name faded across the front, some jeans that you bought with intentions of being grown into, now it just fits. Shame you won’t be able to hang on to them for much longer. You’re thirsty and frustrated, but with what you’re wearing now you don’t think you are anywhere near ready to go out.Grabbing an old vestige of who you were, the old leather jacket you used to wear when you were a delinquent in a speed tribe. Tearing the sleeves from the shoulders you then slide the newly made vest on. It’s won’t close across your chest and it barely reaches midway down your rib cage, but it will do. Actually, you like this look.It feels like, you. Tying your hair up into a ponytail, you stride out into the night.>Find a Liquor Store and skulk in an alley.>Find a club and get noticed.>Find a dive bar and stew.>Hit a Saki bar and pay for a couple of hours.>Other

Tonight is a night to be seen. You want attention, you want people to look at you. Enough people are going to want to party tonight, end of the world seems nigh so they want to cut loose. You want to cut loose. You want to dance. You want to start a fight. You want men to look at you. You want women to look at you. A desire to feel wanted. A desire to be envied. A want to be feared. You’re heading to a club. Before the sun goes down you’re going to go there and start a tab. It will probably take a lot to give you a buzz now, so you’ll get started.Even during the day, there is looped house music playing, bland and repetitive. Hopefully later when there are enough people moving in throng to it, and you’ve had enough to drink, it won’t seem so bad. There are only a few other people here this early, the bartend is a young guy with a cropped goatee, after giving you the once over, you order a cheap beer and several shots. Not several of the same shot. You get variety. You get a lineup that no sane person would consider, a lineup of whiskies, tequilas, vodkas, and saki.“Rough morning?” he sets the last bottle back beneath your line of sight as you lift the first glass.“Brand new world, decided to get an early start easing into it before everyone else got to the good stuff,” you smile and tilt it back.He nods. You knock another back without pausing. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. It doesn’t take long for you the feel the barest hint of a buzz, the relaxation and light headed effervescence calls to you. Turning to regard the room and grabbing your beer, you wait. Drinking a bit more as the buzz lets up until the club comes to life. You’re taller than most of the girls there, and most of the guys.
>>32505896Everyone sees you. The girl in tight jeans straining to keep a hard body covered. The girl wearing a white t-shirt and a leather open vest. You look out of place. You look like a sore thumb. You aren’t one of them, not anymore. You aren’t human. No, fuck that. You are as human as you let yourself be. You are as human as you demand of yourself. You wade into the masses and dance.Time blurs as you let yourself go to the thrumming bass of the speakers. You are an island in an ocean of humanity. How many eyes watch you in wonder, want, lust, awe, or envy. If only they knew. If only they could imagine. You drink more. You dance more. Managing to keep yourself just buzzed for most of the night before your systems can burn off the fleeting feeling.Your hair hangs straight with sweat, you’ve been at this for hours. You’re getting sore from all of this. Your shirt is probably stained through. None of that matters. It is fully and totally night.>Keep to yourself but stay on the floor, you want to keep dancing. You feel a part of it, this great mass of humanity.>Pay your tab and go out, you want to fly alone and see if you can breach the sky.>Find someone you know, get them to make you feel as human as the masses you’ve surrounded yourself with. Who?>Find someone you don’t know, make a connection and at least let them be someone who seems like they can keep up.>Pay your tab and go home, you have had your fun.>other

Hah, forgot trip. Counting & Writing.
Looks like we are at an impasse. Reply linked to this post with only the number of your choice as described below.1. Pay Tab, Fly in the sky.2. Stay on and dance among the manyNo comments. No dice. No greentext. Just the number. No subject line.Four minutes on the clock. Ready.Fight.
>>32506562>>32506490Ha! Joke's on you, I may have done my vote wrong, but it was too late to count anyway, and I therefore did not waste it by doing it improperly since it was already wasted!
>>32506810I am literally the only person who voted properly for 1
Is it just me or are we playing Tsubasa too much like a smug super?I thought we voted to increase sanity to keep her more grounded. Also, we need to increase our cunning rolls somehow. I don't know, put up something in 'tact' or 'An inquiring mind' or something.
>>32506810>>32506872And that's out of a potential four people. I almost feel embarrassed of my choice now.
Heading back to the bar, you pay your rather sizable tab and head out into the cold night. The writhing throng continues far behind you as the doors close and a bouncer shorter than you but with slightly, only slightly, broader shoulders keeps the line of late comers in check. You’ll miss it, but it brought you back. The dancing, embracing yourself as the person. It calmed you, it brought you back to earth. This is who you want to be, it was who you never could be before. Stalking through a side street and into an alley, you let the red and black rise, extending as wings from your back.Crouching and leaping, your wings beat and you reach up and out for the stars. Before your buzz fades entirely you want those stars. You want the promise that there is more to the cosmos than just chance, that there is something greater waiting there beyond the world. That it wasn’t a dream. It might have gone to your head earlier, you might be proud. People are going to be terrified. That beast can’t be the only one. Mori Micro. Your Clergy. The thing in the deep. So many things weighing on you just slip away as your soar. As you spin. As you rise. When you were a child, you had always wanted to fly.Even more than the other times you done it, here it seems freeing. You can feel it, below you. Humanity. Your birthplace. The cradle you won’t abandon. Whatever you are becoming, you won’t let it subsume you. Tsubasa Campbell is human. You are human. And you’ll be their shield against the monsters. The air is thin, but buffets your shirt and jacket all the same beneath the electric hum of your wings. Not entirely dried of the soaking sweat, you feel your shirt and jeans stiffen as the frost creeps across your form. You’re up high. You passed through so many clouds and so much empty space, and the stars are still so far away.
>>32507344You could go to them now, but you cannot. They are for later. They are for when you know the world will be safe from the things you can stop. Cutting the power, you stretch your arms wide and exhale your held breath. Delighting as it crystallizes before you.Reaching the apex of your momentum, you lean back in a wide arc. Lifting your head as to see the earth and it’s curvature below, you smile. It is dark, and the lights of cities across the eastern hemisphere bring you a greater awareness of what waits for you below. The condition of mortality that you might no longer be bound by, but which your will remain among.Still, it comes on fast. You don’t care. The head builds around you, diffused by your power to keep the jacket from burning up, the rest of your clothes you don’t feel anywhere near as attached to.And so, a shooting star returns to earth.
>>32507366Big Changes Quest Thread 14.EndPlease feel free to chat among yourselves for a bit.
>>32507396Thanks for running! Was a fun session, if a little lacking in voters this time.Impressed at how restrained the quest has been for a magical realm quest really.
>>32507542You can say that again. I think everyone here is playing Tsubasa as a superhero rather than 'magical realm'.Not that I mind
>>32507396thanks for running!>>32507542>>32507580I know, right? People even whined over us taking ranks in amazon over divine stature because it was "less practical"what weirdos
>>32507580>>32507607Maybe the only magical realms included are body-modification/transformation, and hot burning justice.
>>32507678Clearly I have my work cut out for me.The introduction of additional realms.
>>32507704My magical realms are too lewd/generic to slip in, really. I don't mind though. No reason to hasten the inclusion of more.
>>32507678How about Transhumanism.Tsubasa is going to end up leaving earth after she makes sure everyone on it is safe from those nanomachines?
>>32507789But what about her friends? Half of them even want to fuck her! Well okay, date anyway. A couple of them at least. You get the point.
>>32507789how about femdom
>>32507811She'll come to a point in her powers where she can't relate to them any more and leave earth? This of course means her 'clergy' was kind of right but they would no longer have the ability to do anything to control her or even ascend to Tsubasa's level.I do realize that it isn't exactly conductive to 'magical realms'. Well, we'll see what happens when do our next arc with our other best delinquent friend.BANCHO FRIENDSHIP
>>32507892Well, the bigger issue is it also isn't conducive to meaningful/interesting character-interactions, which people tend to want.
>>32507892What kind of God were they expecting? Cthulhu? They got Gilgamesh instead. Or possibly Thor.
I think the original post in QTG that started this thread is still there if we want to pick insights from Gyoji's original magical realm. It would just require us to look for the first thread his original Tripcode appeared in before he accidentally placed it in the email field. Also, I agree about the more super heroic path we've been taking. I'm sure someone finds Justice to be a magical realm.
>>32508611Well to be fair, for a super hero path we've been pretty magical realm. How? In the sense that we've been playing her as LOVING what's been happening to her. She's going from this weedy asexual person who was incredibly androgynous to this huge, amazonian bombshell who everyone wants to fuck and is on the path of godhood. To top it off, she wants more. She wants to get bigger, stronger, more imposing. Yeah we've been doing heroism, but there's no delusions in the fact that we've been playing her as loving every second of this.Granted, we do it much more practically. Which I actually appreciate; too many people play powerful people in magical realms as not giving a shit, being incredibly selfish and not caring for the people around them. We've got this weird balance of wanting her to keep going, yet making sure her social life and moral standing doesn't suffer for it.It's actually endearing, to be honest. This quest thread more or less gives me feels because people are so rational about the decisions.
>>32508756Yeah, I really wasn't expecting that tone, given /tg/, but I ran with it and it has been fun.
>>32508876I've actually loved it so far. I mean we've kept things relatively sane all things considered, we've picked the correct times to go hog-wild and feed, and barring the occasional drama Tsubasa's life has just been getting better and better. /tg/ has been proving itself rather awesome in this quest.
>>32509101Well, I am happy everyone is having fun.
>>32509876next time we get a point we should add Tanned as an adjective to our amazon descriptor.
>>32510053That is actually really tempting.

>>32510590uuuuuhsuuuuuuretotally not to look hot or anythingthat would be ridiculous

>>32511026nopethat's where it starts to get unpleasantdelicious brown tan is enough
>>32510590I concur!>>32510678Something can be practical and still alluring.>>32511026Hell no. Delicious brown tan is enough.
>>32511085From yon ancient post,"any amount of make up (light to WHERE IS HER FACE AMID ALL DEM COLORS)"Dare we deny Gyoji yet another? Also, the thread that gave rise to Tsubasahttp://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/30631874/

>>32511682>>32511949He has the right of it, I'm sitting on a metric ton of the things. Deny away.Besides, I had plans for someone's classical femininity lessons to involve makeup.
>>32512115as long as it's in tasteful amountsbut really I'm satisfied with what Tsubasa's been like fetishwise up to this point, as what she likes appeals directly to my own fetishes.
>>32511682Considering what Gyoji said >>32512115 I am pretty okay with denying. We've all hit a pretty good balance to where this whole thing is like a greased train chugging away.Plus what >>32512331 said, right now where she is, is pretty satisfying.
>>32507892I say we open up about the superpowers to them, the sooner the better
